Really in love w Clark being a bit of a pyromaniac in his early years. Its bright and warm and it doesnt hurt him and it feels like the closest he can get to the sun without actually being there. He sits on the counter beside the gas stove as its cooking, he sits in front of fireplaces absolutely mesmerized, he has lighters he carries around to make little fires from paper clippings so he can hold it in his hands and sit there entranced and away from the rest of the world. He definitely stops when he realizes it can do Real damage to his home and barn, but when he moves to Metropolis he starts it up again. Its a comfort during the dark nights and cold winters.

When hes feeling particularly lonely or bad, hell light up the gas stove and squeeze his big self onto the counter and let the heat warm his sides, or make a small fire in the center of his livingroom and lay down next to it. Its like. A creature of the sun seeking its comforts at all times, and finding a substitute that feels more alive than the sun lamps hes got in his room. It flickers and breathes- caresses his face and hands- and stays for as long as he wants it to be there. Its dangerous to everyone but him, and it makes it feel like its cause its meant for him- alien in a way that feels out of control for humans but just perfect for him

I know it’s a common hc that percy loves the little mermaid and I do think that’s true but I think he likes ponyo more.

My reasons are as follows

1. Sōsuke’s relationship with his mom

They love eachother so muuuccchh, and they want to protect and take care each other, and while it is different, and does have a dad that’s kind of present he’s still at sea for the entire movie so it’s Lisa that has to be there sōsuke, operating in someways as a single mom. She is patient and brave and incredibly kind (all traits sōsuke got from her) and i think percy could help but think of his mom. ( especially when he thinks his mom died/ is gone it would strike a cord in him particularly after tlt)

2. Environmentalist message/ undertones

I feel like particularly after tbotl and pan and as he talks more to more naiads he would appreciate the commentary on pollution in the ocean

3. It’s studio ghibli

Disclaimer: I have yet to get a good grasp of Moze's character so this might be a bit OOC and on your side as well (sorry). I did my best. Also, this was inspired by the post you made abt telling Moze your tasks for the day | 600+ words (not proofread)

In Moze's eyes, you reminded him of a dog catching a case of the zoomies.

You were quite literally everywhere. He'd find you talking to someone one moment before you're rushing off to do something else entirely the next. It seemed like you had quite a lot on your plate as of recently. Tasks, things you wanted to do, and so much more spinning around that mind of yours. You've told him a bit of your plans so he has a general idea. But seeing you juggling all of those tasks at once makes both admiration and concern bloom in his chest.

One time, Moze found you carrying a box filled with items. It would've been amusing to him how comical it was that the items piled so high— he could barely see you behind it. However, he did worry right after given how you almost tripped over something. He managed to catch you and the items before both came crashing all over the floor.

He insisted on helping you carry the items to wherever its destination was. It took a bit of pursuasion on his side. Convincing you that it truly wasn't a bother to him at all, and that he'd be very much glad to be of assistance to you.

"I need to get these delivered first. Then go stop by the shop to buy some things. After that…" You go on to ramble about the things you had to do to help get a better vision on what else you had to do. "Oh, no… I messed up." The smile on your face dropping at the thought that had slipped your mind until that moment. "I forgot to invite Jiaoqiu to dinner with the others—"

"It's tomorrow evening, right? He knows. I mentioned it last time when I spoke to him." Moze says with a calm tone.

You blink at him, slightly caught off-guard by the man beside you. Though it's immediately replaced with relief and gratitude. The smile on your face already back, lighting up your features once more. Infectious as always, it makes the corners of his lips tug upwards as well. A small part of him feels quite proud to have been able to help you ease your worries even by a bit.

And this is when you start noticing it.

Did you mention that you're running out of a certain skincare product, but you can't find the time to stop by the store to buy it? Moze conveniently has to stop by near the store and buys it for you. Did you also mention that you wanted to do a certain task but keep forgetting about it? He gently reminds you about it via message or verbal if he's nearby. Did you also happen to mention that you've been meaning to try out a certain desert from a cafe, but the schedule simply doesn't seem to allow you? No fear, he passes by the store to buy you the treat.

Moze doesn't see you as someone incapable of handling things by yourself. To him, he simply sees it as a way to show his care. If making a quick stop somewhere, sending you a small reminder of something you had to do that day, or even helping you out with the tasks you need to accomplish, makes you smile? Gives you a chance to take a break? Let you worry less about the things you need to do? It's worth it in his eyes.

He does his best to avoid making you feel like you're bothering or troubling him (you really aren't). Most of the time, he does them discrcetly and casually. Partially, since he's also scared that you'll think he's weird or a creep for acting like that.

Please don't think of him badly.

Moze truly means well.

This shot would not have been this close if it wasn't romantic. They wanted you to see it and to see it clearly to make it this close when it has so often been in the background and blurry.

I was just watching through an edit and there were a lot of clips zoomed in on and things to show, like the hug at the end of season 3 for example, but I had a moment where I was just like "this is real". This one is 100% real no changes. All the other you have to look closely. You have to put the timeline together that Mike is sad because the last time we saw him two scenes ago Will danced with a girl.

But this one they were actively trying to communicate with you directly.

okay i am thinking about maria and tommy’s baby growing up with a lil half-texan accent and picking up the miller family affinity for using the pet name “baby”

they get into that adorable “hi!” phase where children cant help but greet and wave to everyone they see, but instead of saying “hi!” or “hello!,” baby miller greets everyone with a heavily-accented little “hey baby!!!!!” because that’s the most common greeting in the miller family household. maria and tommy call each other baby/babe and joel calls ellie baby/babygirl, so baby miller is growing up constantly hearing variations of “hey babygirl,” “hi baby,” “how was your day, babe?,” “take a load off, baby, sit down,” and basically every other casual use of baby ever

its so common and expected between all the millers that toddler-aged baby miller just reasonably concludes one day that that is how people say hello and show love to each other. ellie is piggybacking them over to breakfast one day and they just starts waving to jackson residents they pass by, calling out an amazing lil accented “hi, baby!” in the most adorable genuine joy ever. ellie doesnt correct them bc she thinks its hilarious and cute; in solidarity, she starts to join in. by the time they get to the mess hall, jackson’s residents are smiling back and waving to them, some calling back “hey, baby!” too.

by the time the adult millers get wind of it, the damage has already been done. they each get to the mess hall from whatever work they’re doing and are greeting with enthusiastic “hey, baby!”s not just from baby miller, but from ellie and all the other people in their general vicinity. it’s jackson’s favorite town-wide inside joke for weeks

baby miller does eventually get the explanation that “baby” is more of a miller/family thing than an everybody thing, but they still use it pretty often growing up because it’s a comfortable affection thing for them and also now a pretty hard habit to break (thank you, ellie)
