like ik I shouldn't compare myself but it's hard not to feel like a failure when 3 of your friends (who did a similar course at uni) probably are offered interviews for a £36k/year job when you were immediately rejected and when people at your company (you need to have an undergrad but most people have done a postgrad) get a promotion to be earning 25k after 2 years

Getting asked at the Gym by my trainer: "So what was your reason for deciding to work out like this?"

What I said: "Just want to finally get on top of my health." What I meant, "I feel dumb for this being my mini fitness dream, but I always wanted to be one day asked to in one of those mr beast hide and seek videos. i dont even want the money (i do need it but this is a silly dream im talking about) I just want to be the guy who is absolutely batshit insane but seemed normal when first on camera but is like. hiding gymnastic king god. My proudest accomplishment is that I've never been found in a hide and seek game. It's lame as hell. I want it so bad. Do I think this would ever happen? fuck no. But I pretend in my mind it will and it gets me up to work out bc what if mr beast turned up at my door like "Hi niche faceless guy who used to stream 10 years ago but didn't keep up with it. be in my video." then he flies me to America to be in a video.

My second dream for when the first one doesn't get me out of bed is "the circus will never hire you if you wont even get out of bed"

whenever shizune would enter her office and mention your name, tsunade would always let out a sigh and rest her forehead on her hand, thinking what did y/n do now?

she tried to act like it didnt bother her, treating your scratches and bruises is just the same as treating anybody else's. she always found herself scolding you for getting yourself hurt whenever you'd come back from a mission. all you'd do is just sit there and smile at her once she finished. she'd bonk you in the head and call you an idiot then go about her day.

after a while, shizune would come into her office, preparing to say your name and expecting a long sigh from deep within her chest. but it was different. she'd look and sound more worried than before. the way her eyebrows would furrow and her eyes would soften whenever shizune mentioned what injury you had told shizune that tsunade has a soft spot for you.

so when tsunade repeated your name with a shout right after shizune, it confirmed her theory.

"lady tsunade, do you perhaps..have..feelings for y/n?" she asked nervously as tsunade rushed out of her chair. her silky blonde hair following her movements as she sped out of the office and straight to the med bay. "whatever do you mean? feelings? the age gap is tremendous! there is no possible way i'd catch feelings for a girl nearly 30 years younger than me!"

"she's 28, lady tsunade.." shizune trailed off before tsunade swung open the door to where it hit the wall. there you were, laying in that bed which after a while was your very own after coming here so often. you turned to the two women standing in the door and gave them a cheeky grin. "good afternoon, lady tsunade!"

"don't 'lady tsunade' me! look what you did! your arm's twisted into a roll! you might as well become a twizzler!" she scolded, holding your twisted arm. you winced slightly at the pain before she let it drop to your side.

"sakura was out of chakra, so she couldn't do much about it. she gave me a pill, and that was about all she could do." you explained while tsunade let out a huff as she sped over to the cabinets and grabbed a spoon.

"she couldn't at least sling it?" she sneered, sitting down on your bed next to you. you shrugged before tsunade shoved the spoon's handle in your mouth. "bite down. this'll hurt." she warned before placing rough hands on your twists, emitting chakra from the palm of her hands and eliciting a scream from your mouth as you bit down hard on the spoon.

after that, tsunade found herself scoffing and speeding towards the cabinet to grab an ice pack and stuff it on your arm. the look on your face that quickly changed from a look of pain to a blank stare that you gave her surprised her, just like all the other times before. "you look like a school nurse." you comment with a chuckle, not even paying any mind to the swelling pain in your arm.

she scoffed again. "y/n, why do you always come in here? it's been a record that once or twice a week you'd come in here with something new for me to fix!"

"why do you always come to my rescue, lady tsunade?" you ask, your blank stare somehow turning even more blank. tsunade's eyes wrenched wider and parted her lips, her frown leaving her face. "..well how do you want me to answer that?! coming to your rescue is just like coming to anybody else's! it's my job!" she frowned once again, and you only smiled. then you tapped your chin.

"..no, wait, cuz whenever naruto get's hurt, he has sakura to help him! only when the situation is dire is when you come in!" you chirp before looking up to find her giving you a deadpan expression.

she sighed and looked at shizune still in the room. shizune only shrugged before tsunade looked back at your smiling face. "because i'd be bored if i didn't have to come to your rescue every so often.." she mumbled under her breath, cheeks turning pink.

"really? bored? i thought you'd get annoyed of me after a while." you commented. tsunade looked up and gave you a wry smile. "well, i did. i am right now, actually," she answered before her wry smile turned into a genuine one. "but i don't mind." she finished quietly. you blushed slightly then your smile grew.

after a moment, tsunade reached her hand up to your head to ruffle your hair. you smiled like a kid and basked in her attention. tsunade softly chuckled before she leaned down to kiss your forehead. your smile fell as your eyes widened and your cheeks turned a deep shade of red. she chuckled again at your reaction. then she turned for the door, shizune following after her.

before she was completely out, she placed a hand on the door frame and turned her head back towards you, and grinned.

"have a good day, y/n. see you next time."

Taxes. You CAN do this!

To those of you who have not filed your taxes (Deadline is tomorrow) or who are putting it off because it is too complex I have some good news. I paid a CPA for years, sometimes 200.00 or more to do my taxes. My parents helped me or did them for years and then, once married, I was convinced they were too complicated for me to handle. Most of us, even me with three jobs, a chiild and owning a home etc, are eligible for free tax preperation. Certainly we should not be paying 200 some bucks to some service that is just following along the same form we could be doing for ourselves.

TODAY go to irs.gov. There is an application to ask for an extension. FILL IT OUT. Get yourself more time to avoid loosing money in fees and penalties.

The IRS site will ask you some questions to help you find a FREE or discounted service to file your taxes on line. Look for a site that does your state (some list specific states and others say all states) for free if you file your federal with them and you can do it all at once.

If you don't have access to your tax records from last year you can contact the company you used last year OR follow the link they provide to access/set up your IRS account. This is good to have in any case because there is lots of good information about your income etc on there. It takes some back and forth on your phone/computer (you need a smart phone for quick IDME set up but there are other options). You can also get all your information off of the hard copies from the previous year.

Once you choose the right tax prep account from the IRS suggstions you simply follow the easy instructions and match my the form number listed on the tax papers mailed to you by your bank, employers, etc. Match the box numbers as you go. It is really a easy process if you just follow the numbers of each box. You will need your checking account and bank routing number for direct deposit AND your Adjusted Gross income (on last years tax form OR available from the IRS/you preparer) AND the "over payment" ie REFUND From state and federal last year. (Also available on your irs site or on the forms form last year).

They email and or text confirmation and if there is an issue they give you the specific space that needs correcting.

You CAN do this!

ALSO> rememeber to have your tax exemption 0 going forward to insure taxes are withheld all year so you are less likely to owe. (DO not claim yourself).

AND remember you can deduct your Vehicle registration from many state taxes (you will need the title OR at least the cost you pay, year, and WEIGHT of the model you own-I was able to google the weight using the year and model).

If you get hung up the IRS also lists free services to help you. Many libraries and local social sevices entities will have information on the free filing help.

I talk a lot about my Tyler and enid being besties agenda and I made a short post about it awhile ago but I wanna flesh it out more bc I love them and this is my account so no one can stop me mwahaha.

Anyways Idk how it would actually work but either wyler, or wenclair with him coming back with a redemption arch or poly Wednesday with both Tyler and enid as significant others and them as queer platonic. Or all three. idm how it happens im just here for it. 

Hcs 

He lets enid paint his nails. Sometimes its all different colours to match hers (and she talks billions of instagram photos of them) sometimes with itty bitty little designs but usually some sort of light blue colour. He gets complemented by the old ladies that come in to the weathervane when he hands them their coffee and he secretly loves to show off his nails. (Once when going to the raven she painted them black to match wednesday) ((she secretly liked that they where matching))

This man hears all the gossip from his job. Being a barista at the only coffee shop in town?? Dude gets all the tea. So basically him and enid (and thing) will have gossip sessions where he tells her all the things he has overheard whilst working. (Enids readers and shocked at the jump in range and accuracy of gossip that goes up on her blog)

Tyler goes to her for fashion advice all the time. He lets her dress him up for special events like the harvest festival ect and will always go shopping with her just to hold all her clothes. (When asked the difference between two slightly differing shades of pink jumper he just blindly closes his eyes and picks one) (Enid realises and once picked up two of the same item and forced him to choose which was better - both she and Thing found his panic as he desperately tried to figure out the difference hilarious) 

They bond over how much wednesday manages to get them in sticky situations. ((Like in the gates mansion where they shared ‘tf?!?’ Looks the whole time)) Tyler once remarked that mysteries literally seem to follow them wherever they go as all three of them climbed through some sewerage tunnel looking for clues, wednesday was no impressed. They spend hours in a day talking about the weirdest things they love about her ‘once she let me braid her hair after she got out the shower - I have never felt love till now’ ‘oh really well she let me pick her WHOLE OUTFIT for the harvest festival and then let me post the pictures of us in matching fits. Im pretty sure she loves me more’ 

Tyler has tailored some specific sweet drink for enid that he makes every time she walks in the door with her friends. Its piled high with whip cream and marshmallows and he calls it the ‘enid special’. No one else is allowed to order it. (Wednesday once accidentally took a sip whilst she wasn’t paying attention and threatend to cut her tounge out of her mouth because of how sweet it was.) Enid loves it and its on her story all the time with Tylers @ down at the bottom 

Speaking of social media enid freaked when she saw tylers bare instrgram page. They spent all evening redoing it. He has three posts, the first one was an old photo of him and his mum he posted on her birthday, one is of him and enid with their matching nails and him and Eugene out at the hives with the caption ‘first week at nevermore going better than expected’ and the third one is a photo of him and wednesday enid took whilst waiting in line for the dunk tank captioned ‘the only murder this year was the way wednesday killed it at the carnival’ - the second photo on that post is him and enid with the pile of stuffed animals that wednesday has won for them bc she knows they both love them. He has one highlight thats just a ☕️ and its all his attempts and late art and baking goods for the weathervane. 

Once helped enid dye her two toned hair and ended up with blue tips in his own hair for a few months bc he couldn’t say no to her. Thing ruthless made fun of him for it and His only response was the fact that Thing had never said no to enid either so maybe they where both as pathetic as each other. He actually ended up really liking it and keeping it in for a while (wednesday liked it too, to the surprise of both Tyler and enid but she swore she would shave their hair off in their sleep if they told anyone. ((They never did))) 

Enid helps keep the crazy in. Him and wednesday escalate each others fires which is good when needed but sometimes he wants to feel normal - like he did before Thornhill manipulated and groomed him into being a ruthless monster with blood on his hands. And so when the flashbacks and nightmares get too bad enid will sometimes find him curled up at the end of her bed half covered in plushies. When he gets ansty she will pull him along to show him the newest draft of her blog or drag him into helping prepare Ophelia Hall for the next poe cup (she has sworn him to secrecy but he wasn’t planning on participating anyways, not being super big into the whole school spirit thing) until his hands stop shaking and his eyes loose the haunted look 

Once he has learned how to control hyde him and enid in her wolf form will go running and playing on full moon. The hyde is still slightly weary of wolf!enid which both enid and Tyler take slight enjoyment in. one time whilst they where out wednesday started playing her cello on the balcony and hyde!Tyler got so distracted that he ran straight into a tree. Enid and Wednesday never let him live it down. They chase rabbits and make a competition of who can catch the most and instead of waking up cold and alone after transforming back Tyler wakes up warm and covered with a soft blanket on the floor of the girls dorms (he sleeps mostly in enids stuffed toy mountain after full moons and has scared Yoko, Ajax, Xavier and Kent many times when they come into the room) ((its also a convenient place to hide him when the new dorm monitor comes around to tell them to turn their lights off))

They would definitely brainstorm dates together. Whoever u ship (wyler or wenclair) doesn’t matter. For wyler enid would help him set up another creepyish highly wednesday focused date with the sole bribe of him telling her all about it later. for wenclair he would help her plan dates that wednesday would like and recommend places in Jericho to go bc he has lived there his whole life. Either way they do have a whole whiteboard that is full of date ideas (his whiteboard marker is blue and hers is pink - Thing gets green) wednesday fully knows they collaborate but bc it doesn’t end up on enid blog and she’s soft for them she lets it slide. 

They also hang out on enids side of the room when wednesday is writing. Sometimes they get banished to the balcony for laughing to hard but its totally worth it. 

Enid makes Tyler get high things for her as well as carry heavy things. She also rides on his shoulders/back everywhere. Yells “CHARGEEEE” and everything just like a toddler. Wednesday has a photo of them like this and has it as the background of her Home Screen but no one knows 

Speaking of phones, Wednesdays Lock Screen is a stupid photo that Tyler and enid took and set as  as a joke. U know one of those ones where its taken from below and both their heads are swished into the frame peering up at u? She refuses to change it claiming ‘she doesn’t know how too and will not let any of you imbeciles touch my phone’ but they both know she secretly likes it - wednesday would never let ‘not knowing how to do something’ stop her from removing it if she really wanted to

Enid put eyeliner on Tyler once and he loved it. He lets her do it all the time now - not overtly crazy she just tight lines his eyes and smokes out his bottom lash line. He has never felt more pretty before - and he got loads of compliments at work. When wednesday first saw it she just stopped and stared for 20 seconds before glaring at him marching out onto the balcony so he counts it as a win. 

Tyler gets along with morticia and enid gets along with Gomez really well. Obviously Wednesdays parents love both of them and immediately took them in but you can find Tyler and morticia talking about the latest book they have read over tea and gomez loves showing enid all of his striped suits, as well as teaching her how to fight with just her claws. Pugsley loves both of them more than life itself and lets enid paint his nails and plays non torture catch with Tyler whenever they are home on break. 

He lets enid sit with him while he bakes. Its sort of a stress reviler and she will usually sit on the counter tops as he bakes cakes or muffins or pastries for the weathervane to sell. She gets to pick the music and they both dance around the kitchen whilst its cooks. She definitely licks the spoon and he always gives her a ‘quality control taster’ before he puts them out to get the enid stamp of approval. ((Once for his birthday she got him a t-shirt that said ‘enid stamp of approval’ he definitely did not cry over the fact that she and him 1. had an inside joke and 2. she actually forgave him and approves of him as a person. He wears it with pride) ((wednesday steals it to sleep in sometimes and they both think its adorable when they catch her wearing it))

So this got way out of hand but yeah!! I will probably continue this at some point but this is it so far. Let me know if I have converted u bc Tyler needs more friends/love and support in his life and I feel like enid would be the one to first befriend him at nevermore bc she knows she could kick his ass if he tried anything :)

Also WHERE DID PAY HIDE THE STILL-ALIVE BODY. You said he 'ate' the first Yellow CEO (correct me if I'm wrong on the 'first Yellow CEO' part), and yet Clip is still alive because Pay doesn't have it in him to kill.

Is Pay just- slowly consuming parts of Clip in secret while keeping him alive? Or was the 'ate' thing just a speculation for Clip's disappearance, if Clip was the first at all (I think it was implied he was but I'm not sure)?

(Also *cough cough* would Pay get along with Scrollon from Brightgoat since they both have those cannibalistic tendencies *cough cough* /not forced to answer this one btw, just me hyperfixating and making weird connections in my head ^-^)

Also, is cannibalism just- known to exist among Addis but nobody really tries to stop it? Is it more of a hidden thing? Why is it allowed for Reds / whoever a Purple or Orange serve to just- not buy from them even though it's slowly killing them and it'll likely end up in one of them dying, you'd think there would be laws or protections in place for that, wouldn't there? Or are Oranges and Purples just so low on the social ladder that it's acceptable to mistreat them for some reason? 1. Pay and Flair have a very on and off relationship, it's complicated as Pay wants to be open but Flair dosent as (While he's a asshole) he cares more about his job than Pay.

Flair ends up doing quiet alot to make sure he can date Pay safely. (Riots, he rioted on authority. He went from being picture perfect to a complete Rebel.)

i just want to reiterate something that many of us know, but hey. it doesn't hurt to say it again, right? and if u wanna reblog this, go ahead, idm, it's an important message!

we have to stop apologizing for not being here all the time.

like, beyond the obvious "this isn't a job", we also need to understand that we're not teenagers anymore. we have jobs. we have families. we have studies. we have hobbies beyond tumblr. sure, once upon a time it was a lot easier; we'd go to school, do our homework, brew a few mugs of tea and get writing. we had more time and less responsibilities, even if it didn't necessarily feel that way at the time.

but now? now we're in our twenties, thirties, forties and more. we have jobs. we have people to support and things to do and bills to pay. we shouldn't need to hold ourselves to the same standards we had as teenagers. so what if you didn't write this week?? the world kept spinning, right? nobody was hurt because of it! if anyone's going to sit and sulk because you didn't write anything, doesn't that reflect way more on them? why are we apologizing for having lives, when it's not a bad thing at all?

even if you aren't studying or working, even if you had absolutely nothing to do, it's feckin exhausting sometimes! we're tired! it's nearly november, we're cold and we're tired and want some soup and someone to tell us we're doing a good job! and guess what, besties! you're all doing EXCELLENT jobs!

no more apologizing! we're all grown-ups here, or if you're under 18, aspiring adults. that means we accept that this isn't a job nor a priority, and the minute it becomes one is the minute we need to make a hiatus post. be patient with yourself. be patient with others. everything will come in good time, and don't ever doubt that. now go eat some soup babes <3

thinking so hard about planning my uni dorm so i don’t have to think about how much i do not want to go to university. i will break down if i think about it for too long… lol

there’s a diploma offered in the same city that could have opened doors to my dream career, the only career i’d ever really want to work, aside from being an author, but a diploma isn’t a degree so i am not allowed

BUT in my dorm room i’m going to have all my dvds and cds and a huge tv because my parents don’t use them anymore and i’m going to get a little bookshelf and a laptop stand and i already have a few lamps and i’m going to get floor covers because there is so much paint in the carpet of my room and i can’t do that at uni

and, once i’ve finished my last high school exam i’m going to use allll my leftover printing money to print out heaps and heaps of things to stick on my walls :D

also also also there will be people and i’m going to have enough friends for a dnd campaign (hopefully i don’t have to be the dm but idm) and i’m going to start playing magic the gathering because there are heaps of game stores like 5 minutes away from my dorm!!!

and i’m going to be able to see my extended family!! unfortunately the government cut the funding to my mum’s job so she won’t be visiting that city anymore (she usually goes down about once a fortnight but they’ve slashed the travel budget) and there’s a music room so i’m taking thorn (my guitar) and i could be in a band!!!!

i’m going to miss kiki, my cat, and francis, my acoustic guitar, but i’ll be home for the holidays and in tremendous and avoidable debt so i can see them both them, and my friends remaining in this city ofc :)

and it’s a whole new city which means a fresh start which is something i have been aching for all year since my friendships started to fall apart… next year will be different though!! there will be so many new and exciting people and friends to make

and i’ll only have 47 thousand dollars of debt that could be avoided if i was allowed to do what i wanted with my life at the end of it

debt that means i can’t leave the country for more than six months before i pay it off otherwise i have to pay interest even though it’s my dream to move back to england and get a job in tv

debt that my parents could afford to pay. the same parents that are forcing me to go to university despite the fact i have made it very clear i do not want to go. university was free when they went. they both were eligible for student allowances. my dad didn’t even finish his degree and he is still successful. but i do not have a choice.

i do not want to work in any field that involves either of my degrees. the only degree i’m really interested in isn’t offered at the university i’m attending but i have to get out of this city. i’m not allowed to take a gap year to edit my book and make money and try to get it published…. i don’t know what to do with my life anymore because this is such a stupidly huge commitment that i did not want and would very much prefer not to commit to

in legends case? seeing his uncle in the sewer and having to Leave him there would bother him. never getting his guardians remains to bury properly? for a year? that haunted and continues to haunt legend always, even after his uncle was brought back by the triforce's wish. even if his reanimated uncle didnt blame him and said it was alright. even after he (sort of) got to bury his uncle the second time around.

that's a guilt you cant get rid of, at least not for him. its also not something a kid should have to deal with in general, and the chain would fucking hate that legend had to mourn his uncle twice, if he was even able to mourn and process his death at all during his adventure and before the next adventure.

Ok, so the “funny” story about the twitter drama around idm anxiety shirts.

Because I was talking about a lot of people who said the shirts were dismissive (funny thing is that no one said that the tweet where the OP was making fun of Mel’s anxiety and marriage was dismissive, but whatever), it would not help anyone and people wearing this shirts would just upset people who have anxiety.

I tried to stay objective, explaining why the idm’s shirts with anxiety prints were not offensive, but then someone asked me if I have anxiety and I almost wrote that I don’t.

But I stopped and remembered (yes, REMEMBERED) that I fucking have it. I just don’t talk about it. Why? Because no one in this country treats it as something serious. No one really talks about it. And for me, as the mature, serious adult who has a serious job and pays the taxes, it’s not anxiety but an inconvenience I need to deal with, because you know, answering the calls and talking to angry/annoying people is part of my job and I get paid for it, too bad I want to throw up all over my desk every time the telephone rings and I have palpitation.

So for me, the IDM anxiety t-shirts is normalizing the idea of people taking their mental issues in a public area, without fearing to get mocked or misunderstood. It’s bringing the problem to a wider audience and starting a discourse. Yes, I’m pretty aware for most of the people it is too soon, but a lot of the topics that were taboo once upon I time are now something openly discussed in public. And someone started to talk about them on some point of time, where most of the people were not ready for it. IDM’s goal is that one day, seeing someone wearing a t-shirt with anxiety is going to be normal. And if wearing something like that is normal, then talking about is too.

Aside of the other problems that were born during the all discussions, would I wear it? I don’t know, because for sure wearing t-shirts with some kind manifestations is not the way I deal with my problems. But for sure it made me THINK about the possibility. And that’s something.

Imo, the t-shirts are not meant to dismiss anything or offend people. But we all are different and we all deal with the problems differently, so of course some of us will don’t agree and feel upset about it. And that’s normal and good and should be talked over.
