Spooky Shining Flutter Mane!
Tumblr media
Hi friends! Look at all of those shiny Flutter Mane! Would you like to be the hero of your friend group with a gift of shiny Flutter Mane? Or perhaps you just want a lot of them? Today we’re embarking on a trip to the mysterious Area Zero with the goal of catching a bunch of shiny Flutter Mane!
Tumblr media
Before we embark, a few notes of importance. First, you need to attend Naranja Academy for this trick to work. Uva students will need to bribe a friend who goes to Naranja Academy for a shiny Flutter Mane or pick up some classes at Naranja Academy.
Additionally, this trick is what we call an “exploit”. An exploit is a mechanism in a game that does not break any rules of the game or involve cheating but uses tactics that are probably unintentionally possible by the developers. While these Pokémon are legal and legitimate some people may consider the tactic to be “cheating”. As a professor, I would never condone actual cheating but I want my students to understand what they are getting into.
Tumblr media
To start, we need to make sure that we go to Area Zero during the day. This trick won’t work at night. I find it best to wait for sunrise. That will give you the most time to hunt. Now we need to make our sandwich before entering area zero. The sandwich recipe I used is:
Any two herba mystica 🌿 except 2 sour and 1 sweet with 1 sour
1 serving of hamburger
1 serving of onion
1 serving of green pepper
2 servings of red onions
Tumblr media
This sandwich can be a bit difficult to build but remember to put down your flattest ingredients first and you should be fine. Make sure that you save before prepping your sandwich so that you can just make your sandwich again if you accidentally lose ingredients. I made my sandwich right in front of area zero so that I could get inside really quickly afterward!
Next we need to get to Area 3. To find Flutter Mane we’re going to cycle between areas 3 and 4. To make it easier I port right to Area 3. As soon as you get out you should be seeing the effects of the sandwich.
Tumblr media
What are the effects exactly? Well we’re calling Flutter Manes by using the sandwich recipe but Flutter Mane is a ghost type so it can’t spawn during the day. What you get is a very empty cavern! Friends, Area Zero is always weird, but let me tell you it was super weird darting around with no Pokémon showing up!
Tumblr media
If you start to feel like you’re questioning your sanity (and I did many, many times) you can push ZL and you should be able to see the Flutter Mane phasing in and out. Don’t hold it down for too long though, it’s distracting you from your main objective of finding a shiny Flutter Mane!
At this point you may be wondering what the point of all of this is if all the Flutter Mane are disappearing. The answer is simple: shiny Flutter Mane are immune to the daylight rule and will just pop up for you to catch!
Tumblr media
By my estimates, trainers without a shiny charm should be able to catch at least two shiny Flutter Mane in a span of 30 minutes. Those with a shiny charm should encounter at least 4 in the same amount of time. Personally, I was able to catch 6.
This trick makes it both easier to see the shiny Flutter Mane and also makes them appear with more frequency. You do have to remain diligent and make sure you’re paying attention for the shiny Flutter Mane when they pop in. While they won’t disappear, they can pop up in weird places, like behind crystals.
Tumblr media
To optimize your time it’s good to cycle back and forth between the 3rd and 4th station. This should force more Flutter Mane into the area. Travel slowly and be alert!
If you do this at night or run out of daylight, you’ll see a whole bunch of normal Flutter Mane in the cavern and they will not disappear. While you can still hunt like this, you will naturally encounter less shiny Flutter Mane this way.
Tumblr media
I love this method because it’s super easy to do and you really don’t need the shiny charm to be effective. Flutter Mane is such a top tier shiny too - everyone should have one!
Much thanks to my wife for allowing me to hunt with her alma mater (Naranja Academy). This tutorial would not have been possible without her. How many shiny Flutter Mane did you catch? Let me know in the comments! Until next time, stay shiny! ✨

Chapter 4 - The Kidnapping of Danny Fenton - Tumblr Edition
Since AO3 was down, I might as well post the chapters of my fic here. This is not a rewrite of the story. It will contain fixes/edits for problems that initially went unnoticed by me. These edits will eventually be added to AO3. Big thank you to the volunteers at the OTW for your hard work!
3 - 4 - 5 Index
TW: descriptions of body horror

Those sounds...
.
At first, Agent S thought it was just the machine in the center of the room.
After all, it had made similar noises in the past.
But over time it grew louder.
Much louder than it had ever been.
And the sounds, no, the screams of the creature inside kept growing louder and louder.
Layers upon layers of vile...
horrible sounds…
All layered on top of each other…
.
Some were otherworldly.
thunderous...
monstrous...
incomprehensible...
alien…
Like the world itself was being torn apart.
.
But some were…
screams...
cries...
human…
.
They were deeply unnerving.
And to some, deeply upsetting.
.
The unearthly shrieks filled the lab like an explosion, sending personnel and bystanders alike into
Everyone held onto their ears, desperately trying to cover them.
The glass windows in front of them shattered, leaving them devoid of cover.
S had no other choice than to start yelling at her head agent.
"Sir! We need to shut it off!"
He was staring, unflinchingly, at the horrors unfolding inside the shaking contraption.
Tables and desks vibrated, and vials and flasks of all shapes rattled off and smashed on the floor.
A steaming liquid was bubbling out of the ungodly machine in front of them.
It felt like it just kept getting louder and louder. She couldn't take much more.
"SIR!"
This seemed to get him out of his trance.
"Shut if off!"
From where they were observing before, several scientists and agents dashed towards the screens and keyboards behind them.
The machine slowed down to a halt, and eventually, the screams did too.
With the ghastly shrieks dying down, and now being able to think, she began inching towards the ungodly contraption.
.
Sickly yellow and black goo flowed out of the tube like structure, with neon green gas escaping with each popping bubble.
Over time, the unearthly slime seemed to cool down and deflate.
But something inside caught her eye.
.
Agent S always had faith in her employers. That she were doing these things in the interests of the people: The people of Amity Park.
To serve them.
To help them.
To protect them.
But today, she felt that faith waver.
.
Inside the machine, there were bits and pieces of flesh and blood submerged in sludge, all arranged in inhuman ways…
a severed human arm, sprouting more arms at the fingers, like a tree…
ghostly intestines, covered in red, arranged into a rose like arrangement, repeating on itself in the middle, like a fractal…
a heart with green pustules growing all over it, with more hearts sprouting from them like seeds…
.
and in the center of it all, laid a melted, moaning ghostly child, and next to him, a bruised... human... child...
the two of them were joined at the hip, slowly melting and fusing together…
.
She couldn't hold it in anymore.
She emptied her insides beside the unholy contraption.
What have we done…
What have I done…
.
When she looked up, able to steady herself again, she saw medical staff piling through the goo, guts and gore.
Eventually they pulled out the… children?
no.
A child.
But not just any child.
"Agent T, Agent V, make sure he's stable."
It was Phantom.
.
She saw the two agents take hold of him before disappearing behind the lab doors.
Her superior was standing right beside her.
"Make sure to clean yourself up Agent S!"
He turned around and walked towards the lab exit.
The doors slid open with a hiss.
"Today has been a great success! We must celebrate!"
The doors slammed shut behind him.
S promptly emptied her stomach again.
.
.
She was not so sure about that last statement…
She thought back to those screams…
what she saw…
She had to know
what happened to that human child...?
"Hey, S, what do you think of all this?"
Her co-worker had come over and helped her to her feet.
"I'm not sure, but whatever it was, I'm sure it was no good..."
They had a strange look on their face. They turned to look at the remains and suck covering the floor
"To think, something so small could do all… this…"
No
that wasn't an unthinking abomination like they had said…
phantom didn't want this...
he was…
"Here, grab my hand."
that…
child…
"Let's get you cleaned up."
that human child…
they were experimenting on him…
They had killed him!
She had to do something.
She turned around to look at the machine one more time and looked for something, anything, she could use to put all this to an end.
That's when the shine on something in the corner of the room caught her eye.
A lens.
Agent S now knew what she had to do.

It’s been two weeks since they last talked and while she felt a bit anxious sometimes, she knew deep in her heart he was okay, he was just very busy and couldn’t chat all the time. He told her the time they’d all come back, so she shouldn’t be so worried, even if her brain would sometimes pop less than welcome suggestions of outcomes she knew it was just her anxiety playing tricks on her.
Shells and Penny both knew the time Bob and Mav were coming back as well, the older woman being the voice of reason when the other two would get too into their heads with fears and worries. When asked how she did it, Penny said she’s been without Pete for a long time but something inside of her always said they’d see each other again, the feeling never disappeared whenever he was away so she used that as confirmation that he’ll be fine.
But Beatrice understood her words, because while her brain would rattle with anxious thoughts her heart would calm her down with words of ‘he’s okay, he’s coming back.’. Beatrice always thought the voice in her head, the intuition voice, often sounded like her nonna’s thick Sicilian accent.
She enjoyed working at the bar because it gave her a distraction, especially now that Penny got that fancy ice machine and they’d stop using the bags of ice. While they did help, it was just because the old machine started acting weird and Penny didn’t want it to suddenly go out in the middle of a busy night. So now they are just preparing the bar for when the machine arrived, which would be on this Friday afternoon, thankfully Penny let the patrons know that, meaning the chances of anyone showing up were minimal.
Even if they did, the doors would be locked and there’d be a huge ‘under maintenance’ sign pinned on it. Hopefully they’d be back up to speed on Saturday night.
Right now,they were all cleaning the bar for when the machine got there, moving stuff out of the way so it’d be spacious enough for it to pass. Shells took some trash out while the two other women were inside, making her way to the green trash bin down the street, looking up when she saw something move ahead of her.
Her steps slowed down while her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, keeping her eyes on a woman who stood on the beach like a sore thumb. She opened the bin with her vision still on the lady, dropping the trash bags inside, narrowing her eyes a bit. The woman had thick and long black hair that fluttered with the wind alongside her long geometric patterned red and blue dress, her arms up in what she could only describe as a ‘praise to the sun’ position.
Shells didn’t know if she should say something, so she didn’t, she just backed away silently into the bar. Once she got in, she jutted her thumb over her shoulder “Never thought I’d say that, but I saw a hippie lady on the beach,” Penny stopped her cleaning to stare at her niece, “Swear to God, long colorful dress and everything.”
“Did she say something?” Shells shook her head negatively, walking further into the bar.
“I didn’t get close,” with her back turned she didn’t see Beatrice walking back from the storage room with a clean rag in her hands, “I swear I thought it was Janis Joplin coming back from the dead, half expected her to sing Me and Bobby McGee.” Beatrice’s question of who they were talking about made Shells turn her body to face the brunette, “Some lady on the beach, she was like preaching the sun or something.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, had this long boho dress and everything.” she didn’t notice how Beatrice’s face changed, “Long black hair too, it was like we were back in 1969.”
Beatrice blinked, parting her lips, “Where did you see her?” Shells explained the location past the trash bins, frowning at Bea’s expression before the brunette walked out of the bar to check the outside. The woman in question was no longer on the beach, now she was walking through the parking lot with her sandals hooked on her fingers, long black hair moving with the wind, “Oh my God…” Shells peeked over Bea’s shoulder, “That’s my aunt.”
“...your…aunt??” she repeated, “I…your aunt is a hippie? Listen don’t get me wrong but I met your parents, they are anything but free love friendly.”
“My aunt was always the odd one out,” Beatrice explained, looking back at Penny, “Can I just talk to her real quick? She never comes down here.” the older woman nods and Beatrice wipes her hands on her jeans, walking out of the Hard Deck to meet the statuesque figure of her aunt coming closer.
Her aunt, who looked younger than her own age - blessings on the dna - smiled when Beatrice approached, opening her arms wide, “Hello my love,” her soft spoken tone said, humming happily when Beatrice hugged her, the black haired woman squeezing her niece tighter, “Oh, I’m really happy to see you.”
Unlike her twin, Beatrice’s father, Martha’s Italian accent was milder but it came out whenever she had to roll her r’s and the vowel was open, which added to her soft spoken voice made her sound almost mystical. While her siblings joked their own mother was a witch, they were sure that aunt Martha was a witch without a doubt, “I’m happy to see you too but,what are you doing here,auntie?”
Martha smiled, looking up to the sky, “I felt like taking a walk.”
“...from–from your house?” the other woman nods and Beatrice blinks, “But you live in Escondido…”
“I used my bike silly.” her aunt giggles,as if it wasn’t still a three hours ride “I didn’t really walk all the way down here.” her aunt’s eyes shone with mirth, looking down at her niece, cupping her cheeks and turning her head left and right, before closing her eyes in silence. Beatrice blinked, waiting for her aunt to say something, ‘You feel lighter, my love,” her aunt says with her eyes still closed, “Your heart feels free, like a sparrow…my darling girl you are in love.”
Now she wasn’t expecting that type of information. Okay, her aunt was the mystical sort of woman who she was sure could control the weather if she so desired, but she still freaked her out a bit when she said things like that, “I-I…”
“Yes…yes you are in love,” Martha opened her eyes to show the light brown irises staring down at her niece,  “What a joy it is.” she drops her hands from Bea’s cheeks, to place both of her own on top of her heart, “I am very happy for you.”
‘...t-thank you auntie,” Beatrice looked over her shoulder to the Hard Deck, a blonde head peeking out with her eyebrows furrowed “Um…but you didn’t say why you showed up. Is everything okay?”
“Why, everything is more than okay.” Martha smiles, “I simply wanted to see you…and give you this.” from a hidden pocket in her dress, Martha pulls out an envelope, an envelope that looked a lot like the wedding invitation Bea got months ago. The brunette blinked, her eyes going from the envelope to her aunt, before she slowly grabbed it from her hand.
“Um…auntie you already invited me, remember?I’m one of your bridesmaids.” she chuckles softly, moving her eyes downward to the cream colored envelope, “Why would you need to–” the name written on the paper, in curved bronze letters, was her name…and Bradley’s. Beatrice’s soul left her body and she immediately paled while looking down at the invitation, holding with both hands now. No, she asked her parents to not do this!
“Your father thought it’d be a good idea.” Martha smiles, oblivious to her niece’s turmoil, “So, it’s your new invitation, I even told the hotel to prepare the room for two.” Beatrice’s wide eyes slowly moved upwards to her grinning aunt, “Everyone will be so happy to meet him.”
Yes, every single one of her family members on both of her parents sides, including the ones from Sicily “O-Oh,” Bea’s words were soft and quiet, with a slight tremble to them, “How nice of you, a-auntie, but–” her aunt just smiles more, nodding her head “But,um he’s deployed and I don’t…think he’ll be here before the wedding,” that was a lie, obviously, but her aunt didn’t have to know that. Her aunt, amazingly just blinked in her direction, she had a feeling that the woman didn’t believe her one bit.
“Well my darling, something in me says he’ll be back sooner than that.” Bea’s smile faltered with an awkward laugh leaving her lips, “Trust me, it will be fine.” her aunt leans down to press a kiss to her niece’s forehead, who in turn stays immobile, not being able to say anything in return, “I’ll see you two then.”
“But–”
“Je t’aime mon petit Beatrice, au revoir!” her aunt waves her goodbye with a flourish, long dress flapping with the wind as she makes her way back to her bike, climbing on it and riding away from the Hard Deck. Beatrice dropped her arms to her sides, backing away until she touched the walls of the bar, her eyes staring at nothing.
Shells walked out to meet her outside, looking from the brunette to the strange woman riding away on her bike, “Sooo…what did she want?” She got no reply, but she saw Bea lift a shaky hand to show an envelope, “You want me to–okay,” she picked the envelope up, seeing her name and Rooster’s on the paper. “...ah.” the brunette slides down onto the sidewalk, placing her head on her hands, with Shells crouching next to her, “I guess you didn’t plan on this, huh?”
“I told my parents I didn’t want to take Brad, do you know how many people will be there in total?? Over one hundred!” Beatrice groans, slapping her hands over her eyes “God not to mention my cousins who will immediately sniff the fresh new man within a five miles radius and hound him like a pack of starving hyenas, making jokes about how much I paid for his company.”
Shells frowned, flipping the envelope back and forth, “So what do you plan on doing? He was invited.” Beatrice dropped her hands to her sides, looking at the envelope for a good five seconds before she snatched it from Shells’ hand.
“I’m going to hide it and use my own invitation to get in. He doesn’t need to know.”
“I mean…sure, but wouldn’t that also give something for your family to talk about?” Shells added helpfully, “How possible is it that most of them know about him?”
“...very possible.” the brunette sighed, running a hand through her haid, “I-I can’t do this to him, can you imagine? I wanted him to meet my family, my parents and siblings, not the whole pack of wolves. God, my uncle Roberto will ask him about the Navy and make comparisons to when he went to war too,uuuuuuuuuughh…”
Shells pursed her lips, tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear when the wind picked up, only to grab the invitation from Bea’s hand again, “I think you should at least mention it to him, then he could say if he thinks it’s okay to go or not.” she says, “He’s a big boy, Bea, he has the right to say yes or no.”
“...I…you are right.” she sighs, the back of her head hitting the wall as she looks up to the clouds slowly rolling by, “I can’t just do that, he has to give me his answer…and I hate it. I hate it because I know my whole family way too much…but, you are right.”
“Like always,” Shells smiles, standing up alongside Bea who laughs in response, “But how about we go out tonight? To relax?We won’t come to work after all.”
“Do you have a place in mind?”
“I do, I was thinking of The Singing Stop, that karaoke bar with those private booths for you to use instead of a stage,” she pulls out her phone, “Friday is free for the ladies and if you go in a trio you get extra chicken wings.”
“Were you planning on inviting Penny?”
“I tried,” Shells said, flicking through her phone, “But she said she’d like to stay home with Melia tonight, so, who is our next option? Who’s the one person who’d always be up for Karaoke night? Evelyn.”
Evelyn did love karaoke, Shells wasn’t wrong. She’d get very into it, pulling a whole performance while singing too, “Well, okay, sure. Did you talk to her yet?”
“Um, yes,” she says, following Bea inside the bar, “I sure did, she already said yes. By the way, we’ll definitely get hammered so we’ll need an Uber.” Beatrice frowned, looking back at the blonde with a worried face “Okaaay, maybe not that hammered, just enough to see double.”
It was Penny’s voice that interrupted their talking, walking past them holding a bucket of water, “as long as the two of you can stand tomorrow night, that’s fine by me.” she chuckles, “Now come on, we have to finish everything in fifteen minutes.”
-
“They better have Mr.Brightside or I’m rioting.” Evelyn said as they walked into the karaoke bar, the 70s color palette of reds, yellows and blues adorning them. Evelyn was the first to walk to one of the employees, asking for a private room alongside a qr code menu, giving the other two a smile when the man said to follow him.
The room was yellow with inner lights on the walls, shining down the U shaped dark blue seats in front of a tv and a coffee table separated the two parts of the couch to be in front of one another. Once they all got inside and closed the door, Evelyn removed her dark suit jacket to expose the black tube top underneath, already checking the songs while Bea and Shells took their seats.
Shells would be the one responsible for the drinks and snacks for the night, “Okay, we already have extra chicken wings but what are we feeling tonight for drinks? I think we should get some beer.”
“I’m okay with that,” Ev said, still looking for her song with her back to the two, “Beer and chicken wings, nothing better.”
“I’m okay with it too,” said Bea, placing her green jacket to the side, combing her hair over her shoulder while crossing her legs by the knee as Shells set their order. The brunette tilted her head to Evelyn, who let out a sound of triumph when she found her song, she didn’t play it yet, instead she let the name hover on the screen before sitting down next to Bea with a sigh.
“When was the last time the three of us went out together?” Evelyn asked, crossing her own legs.
“Oh, oof,” Beatrice chuckles, looking away to wrack her memory, “I think it was two weeks after grad? Then we all went our own ways.”  she turns towards Evelyn with a small smile, “How’s it going on getting the old team back?”
Evelyn sighed, her lips pursing in a frown, “Honestly, I managed to get Eliza and Carmen too, but like, Tori? Out of the question, she joined an MLM and would just offer us her products instead of playing for real.”
“We all knew Tori was weird,” Shells voice said, lowering her phone once the order was sent, “So I won’t lie and say she’ll be missed, cause she won’t.”
The three women reminisced for a while longer until their snacks arrived. Shells made sure to record their night out to the best of her ability, saying it was a once in a lifetime thing, they needed to have it archived for the future.
“Okay, I think I’ll tackle the elephant in the room,” Shells began, gesturing a chicken bone to Evelyn’s direction, “Why isn’t Ms.Evelyn Simpson dating anyone?” the dark haired woman rolled her eyes, choosing to sip her beer instead, “Because we know you are a looker, you could have any guy you wanted.”
“Is your dad a vice admiral?” Evelyn retorted, arching her eyebrows, “Is he a pain in the ass?”
“You can’t prevent yourself from dating because of your dad, Ev,” Bea replied softly, wiping her mouth with a napkin, “Who knows? Maybe there’s a perfect guy for you somewhere, just waiting.”
“Or maybe it’s just Hangman.” Shells snickered, laughing louder when Beatrice tossed the napkin her way, with the blonde’s laughter diminishing to quiet giggles.
“I’d rather chug a gallon of bleach,” Evelyn murmured, “He’s so typical, like he’s a mold of every navy type there is…unlike Bea’s pilot.” she gestured her thumb in the brunette’s direction, “By the way, let’s be honest, the two of them are nauseating.” she said to Shells, who cackled even louder much to their curvy friend’s surprise, “I mean, good God I thought I’d develop type 2 diabetes just by standing near them.”
“Babes you have no idea.” Shells smirks, “It’s so painfully sweet I swear I feel like vomiting sometimes.”
“...I don’t know how to feel about all that…”
Evelyn smiled, draping her arms over Bea’s shoulder, “You should be happy because while we both feel our teeth rotting, we like seeing you with someone who likes you so much.,” Shells nods in agreement, lifting her beer “Because you deserve it, after all the shit He Who Shall Not Be Named did to you.”
The two of them were with Beatrice during the last months of her relationship with Eric, they were with her when she’d had her panic attacks and they were with her when she shared she wanted to end things for real this time. They really just wanted the best for Beatrice, which they knew for a fact it wasn’t Eric, so when she finally cut things off with him, they had a celebration…at a karaoke bar.
“...Thanks guys, I really,” Beatrice blushed, looking down at her hands, “I really like Bradley,” she almost said the L word again but she didn’t feel like saying it now, not without Brad knowing it first “He’s very special to me.”
“Just please name your first kid after me,” Shells added, “‘Cause without me, neither of you would’ve gotten together. Evelyn you should’ve seen it, it was like two pre school kids who never acted up, Ugh! Rooster just kept looking at Bea who only looked at him when he wasn’t looking and it was driving me insane. I had to step in.”
Beatrice hummed, narrowing her eyes playfully at her friend but only sipping her beer with a little smile, “Well,I thank you for stepping in then, I’m very very happy…which reminds me, what about you and Bob?” It was interesting to see how Shells’ expression softened and she touched the rim of her bottle with a little smile.
“I like him a lot too.” The usually loud blonde said quietly, “He’s so sweet, a bit shy at first but, he’s incredibly sweet…and god he’s so good in bed. You’d never think so under that sweet façade he has.But it’s like the phrase goes: gentleman in the streets, freak in the sheets!”
The laughter reverberated around the room, with the three girls clicking their bottles together in celebration. Not long after that, Evelyn wiped her hands clean to stand to her feet, grabbing the mic, “Okay, it’s my time to shine.”
“You always choose Mr.Brightside,” Shells chuckled, “Don’t you have other options?”
“Listen as an emo child of the 2000’s I have to start with this song, either that or Helena by MCR.” she explains, shrugging before pressing play so the known melody would start. Evelyn would always get into the songs, no matter what kind, so when she stood still as a rod in the middle of the room with the mic to her mouth, “Coming out of my cage and I’ve been doing just fine-”
Shells lifted her phone to record Evelyn’s performance, who while in the beginning of the song stood still as a rod, tossed her head forward violently once she hit the ‘but this is the price I pay!’, clenching the air dramatically, with her hair tossing back when ‘Mr.Brightside left her mouth.
The other two girls cheered, clapping their hands when Evelyn continued her performance, kicking and headbanging and playing air guitar until she finally dropped to her knees when the song ended with her chest heaving. She was glistening with sweat, like she was the one in concert instead of The Killers, but she smiled at her friends hollering her name.
Evelyn gracefully stood to her feet, bowing in thanks “Okay, who’s next?”
“Oh, me!” Shells scrambled to her feet, giving Bea the phone “I wanna sing Get Outta My Way, by Kylie.”
“Oh my god, and you call me a song repeater??”
“Um, I choose a variety of Kylie songs okay? My queen deserves nothing less.” Shells smiles, flipping through the list until she finds it. Much like Evelyn, she too put on a performance with a lot of hair flipping and hand motions, mimicking some of Kylie Minogues’ choreography - some not even from this specific song - but either she was having a blast, while Evelyn and Bea cheered on, the latter filming the whole ordeal.
When she was done with the song, she finished with the mic up in the air and a tired smile on her face, waving off the clapping with a smile, “Okay, now,” she offers the mic to Beatrice, who blinks up in surprise, “Your turn bumblebea.”
“Oh, oh okay.” Beatrice switched the phone for the mic, adjusting her ripped jeans on her legs before looking at her friends, “I never know what song to sing.”
With the phone up, Shells shouts, “Great Balls of Fire! Do it! Sing it!”
“I don’t even know if they have it!” The idea of singing Rooster’s songs suddenly made her cheeks heat up, but she couldn’t help but be excited if she could sing it. So she turned to the TV, biting her lower lip while checking the song list, “Oh my god…they do. Should I sing it?”
“Yes!” Shells shouted, “You better do that! Sing for your man away from you!”
Beatrice laughed nervously, she didn’t know why she was so nervous about singing it. She wished she was singing it with Rooster…but, well, he wasn’t here. She hoped he wouldn’t be upset because she did it without him. With one final breath of courage, she pressed play, biting her lower lip while smiling as the known piano keys appeared.
It took her some time to let loose, even with the beer in her system, she felt a bit awkward while singing along. Until the first Great Balls of Fire made itself known, then she just got into it. Between shimmying her shoulders and dramatic hand motions, Shells was sure Beatrice’s movements were very similar to Rooster’s whenever he played it.
She didn’t plan on telling her friend of the video she’d send the pilot, just because she didn’t want Bea to be against it. Evelyn and Shells hooted for Beatrice whenever she moved with the song, clearly happy to see their friend having so much fun. By the time the song ended, Beatrice was breathing hard but smiling even harder, laughing when the other two stood up to hug her close.
They stood there for a couple more hours, between drinking and singing - even singing together to Katy Perry’s California Gurls with Shells demanding to sing Snoop Dogg’s part on the song - until they left the bar. They were stumbling a bit, but not enough to consider themselves too drunk to know what they were doing.
They didn’t plan on going home yet, so they just wandered up the street laughing to one another - Evelyn almost losing her balance twice only for Beatrice to hold her up. They ended up in an empty skate park, still singing and dancing like the music was still playing.
Shells pointed the phone up to the dancing Beatrice, who sang Madonna’s Like a Virgin while moving much like in Tiff’s class, “Hey Bea!” the brunette stopped, looking right at the camera, “Can you do something for me?”
-
Bradley yawned quietly, rubbing his face as he lay on the bottom bunk, grabbing his phone to set his alarm. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion when he saw that Shells sent him a message on instagram. He had no idea why she’d message him and not Bob, but if he knew Shells it was nothing good.
So he opened it, expecting some weird meme she found online…but it wasn’t. Instead it was several videos of no one other but Beatrice. He looked up at the top bunk, hearing Fanboy turn on his mattress, before he leaned into his bag to pick up his air pods. Once connected he thumbed the screen up to the first video, pressing play and his whole body reacted when he noticed the song Beatrice was singing along to.
His lips parted in surprise, watching her move and sing to her heart’s content to his song. Well, not his song but the song he would always play at the bar. Rooster could only watch, mesmerized, watching his girlfriend sing Great Balls of Fire on a karaoke machine, laughing and dancing, almost oblivious to Shells’ filming her. He let out a soft laugh, then covered his mouth when she flipped her hair and pursed her lips at the ‘you kissed me baby!’ part of the song, shimmying her shoulders along with the beat.
The video stopped and he had to mentally recover from what he just saw, before he went to the next one which was Beatrice this time singing I Want to Know What Love is by Foreigner, just into the song as the first one before watching the last one that was I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston. She looked really gorgeous whenever she had fun, with her laugh leaving her lips and dancing like there was nothing stopping her.
He couldn’t help but also notice how beautiful she looked, with her sleeveless turtleneck top and ripped jeans, hair flowy and shining under the lights. God he missed her so much. Did Shells send that to him just to make him suffer? Because it was working. There was another notification from Shells, she sent yet another video. This time they weren’t in the bar anymore, they were in what he assumed to be a park, so he got comfortable on his bunk and pressed play yet again.
“Bea! Bea!Look!” Beatrice’s eyes were glazed but she smiled at the camera and he couldn’t help but smile back, she was definitely buzzed, “Look, if you had to say anything to Rooster right now, what would you say?” wait, what?
Beatrice blinked, licking her lips as she thought about it, “I’d say…that I miss him, a lot but he knows I do!” she giggles, “...and…that he makes me very happy and that I think he’s the sweetest, kindest, hottest guy I’ve ever met. That I still can’t believe he’s mine and that…ummmm…that his mouth tastes sweet, like honey and I can’t get enough of him! His lips are soooooooo soft and so nice!hmmm, but,but I also!” she makes a point to hold up a finger, “I think he’s brave and he makes me feel safe, he makes me feel the happiest I’ve ever felt before!” she giggles, then blinks at the camera, “Why do you ask?”
Shells turns the camera to her face, “Oh, no reason, just curious.” she smirks down at the camera, finally stopping the video.Rooster stared at the screen for a few more seconds, then let the device fall screen first on his chest, rubbing his face with both hands, groaning quietly into his palms. How was he to deal with this? With her? He couldn’t just run to her and pick her up to kiss her like no tomorrow, he still had a few more weeks to go by before he returned.
His chest warmed up with feelings, with pure love for this girl, who cared for him and believed in him so much without a single doubt within her. He dropped his hands, sucking in a shaky breath before he looked back down to his phone, only seeing that Shells left him a ‘>:P’ emoji that he chose not to reply to, he knew she wouldn’t mind either.
He makes her feel safe. She mentioned to him during their first time together that his room felt like safety to her…and he couldn’t imagine a better compliment to have from someone he loved so much. Rooster sighed sweetly, closing his eyes with a smile before he finally set up his alarm, giving one last look at the video just so he could have her voice in his head before he slipped into dreamland.
He slid the phone under his pillow, still smiling when he finally fell asleep.

Revenge is best served Small
Reader x Fred Weasley
Reader x George Weasley
NO TWINCEST!!
SMUT! SMUT! SMUT!
(Just to make this less awkward on all of us, yes I am clearly going through some stuff, and yes everyone enjoys what happens to them in this, even if it's reluctantly. Nothing unconsensual. 6,486 words)
[There’s a comment on this post that perfectly summarises it: “i have no idea what just happened to me all i know is that i will never be the same after reading this” so... read at your own risk my dudes, I am so sorry]
You slam a fist into the common room desk, glaring down at your potions homework with enough anger to perform the killing curse on it. Or maybe crucio would be better, just so the homework can suffer all the same pains it's inflicting on you.
A chair at the table scraps against the floor with someone plonking themselves on it. You look up to see Fred Weasley, leaning over the desk to stare down at your paper, "Having trouble with your potions essay?" He asks, evidently just to piss you off because it's pretty obvious you were.
"Bugger off, Weasley. We can't all pay zero attention during class and still get perfect grades" you focus back on your work, but not fast enough to miss Fred's shit eating grin.
"Still mad I got a better grade on our end of semester test?"
"No!" You snap back, perhaps a little too quickly. It made the ginger chuckle. You and the twins had been good friends since first year, but it infuriated you to no end every time they got a good grade, because you just knew it was all talent and no effort.
The twin crossed his arms and leant them on the table, scooting closer to you, "Not that I don't love the look of anger on your face, but why does it annoy you so much? You've been going on about this for six years"
"It doesn't matter, I just wanna get this stupid essay over with!" you complain, throwing your quill on the desk, "Where's your brother, anyway? He said he would help me."
Fred pats your head and sighs, "Ditched by your own boyfriend? There's tragic..." You knew he was just being a prick, Fred always did enjoyed teasing you, but you hadn't seen George all day. It was beginning to worry you. Besides, you two had made it a tradition to do your potions homework together ever since third year.
"He actually sent me here to apologise. He's at tonight's party up in Ravenclaw tower. The ol' sod's drunk a bit too much to help out I'm afraid"
You sit up and frown, the anger being pushed to the back of your mind out of newfound sadness, "Oh... he could have at least told me he was going to the party..."
Fred nods sympathetically, but eventually grins and scoots closer, "In the meantime, how about a deal?" You'll be getting whiplash from all these emotions. First anger, then hurt, and now Fred was making you highly suspicious. He has that expression he gets when dreaming up a crazy plan.
"If you help me with a little scheme I've concocted, I'll help you finish your essay" he continues since the only reaction you initially gave was a squint.
"What kind of scheme?"
He drums the table, bitting back a smile that might warn you off, "I've come up with a new product idea, but in order to make it, I need a very rare ingredient that can only be found in one place"
You sigh, resting your cheek against your raised fist, "Snape's supply closet..."
He points at you like in charades, "Exactly!"
"How do I know you'll actually help me? Making a deal with you is a bit like making a deal with the devil"
"We'll get the essay done tonight!" He declares, spinning the paper to face him, and picking up a nearby quill, "Then tomorrow, you'll help me get the potion"
After a fair amount of consideration, you nod, "Alright, deal!"
"Remind me again what the plan is?" You and Fred were stood in the women's bathroom on the first floor, a bathroom you generally tried to avoid as it was occupied by a particularly annoying ghost called Moaning Myrtle. She didn't seem to be revealing herself though, which you assumed had something to do with Fred teasing her about her nickname and the... other connotations "moaning" has.
Fred took a small vial from his trouser pocket. The contents were green and bubbling, "First, I'll drink this shrinking potion, then you'll take me in your robe pocket all the way to Snape's classroom and put me on the third shelf up next to his supply closet. I'll sneak in through the hole my brother and I drilled there years ago, grab the bottle and get out!"
"You mean you and George have done this before?" you asked, watching as he set the bottle down on the edge of the sink, taking off his robe to hang it over the cubicle wall
He turned back to watch him roll the sleeves of his shirt up to his elbows, "Yeah, every now and then if we need tough to find ingredients"
"And what exactly do I do?"
"Well, while I'm getting the bottle, you keep an ear out for Snape, then when I get out, you grab me and the bottle, put me in your robes and bring us back here so I can have my regrowth potion" he pulls another vial out of his pocket which is red and shiny.
"Sound good" you say, while he plonks the potion back into his pocket, and pops off the cork on the shrinking one.
"Bottoms up" he says, and downs the contents. The second he does, Fred begins to shrink! His clothes, thankfully, shrink down in size with him, until finally, he was no bigger than your pinky.
"Wow!" You exclaim, squatting down, "This is super dangerous. I could step on you."
"Please don't..." Fred mutters, his pitch the exact same despite his small size, just a bit quieter due to the distance and size of his mouth and all that. Damn, TV and movies have lied to you. A look of mild horror suddenly adorns Fred's face as he pulls something out from his trouser pocket. It's so small, you had trouble realising it was his regrowth potion, "Oh bugger! I forgot about that..."
You were tempted to lie down on your stomach and be as close as you could to eye level, but you doubted that would be very sanitary on the bathroom floor, "What's wrong?"
"I just realised I let the potion shrink with me! Now it won't work! It'll only grow me back to the size of a foot, if we're lucky"
"Speaking from experience?"
"Unfortunately." he shivers, "But it's okay, we'll just have to stop off at my room afterwards to get some more. I always make extra if I can afford to"
"Well that's good. Ready to go?"
"Absolutely" he held up his arms and you scooped him up like you would a wand. You got to your feet and were about to place him in your pocket when you noticed you still had your potions essay folded up inside. Fred had helped you finish it last night, the legend. Took you until 4 am to finish writing it.
You put him in your breast pocket instead, for fear that your robes might fly around too much and he might fall out, or that someone might bump into you and squash him. The breast pocket was at least hidden and safe. Besides, there were still two layers separating him from your actual boobs.
You opened the door and peaked your head through, checking to see if anybody was there. Nobody. Brilliant. Hurrying down the cobbled hallway, you B lined to the stairs leading down to the dungeons, and hurried to the classroom door. You and Fred had a free period right now, so that would explain why it seemed you and he were the only ones not in class. Despite how thankful you were for Fred's help, you wouldn't have skipped lessons to do this, it's risky enough as it is. Fast walking now, you peeped your head into Snape's office, where beyond it lay the door to his private stash.
"He better not come, Fred, or I'll squash you"
"Don't worry, he's in his lesson! Only got one potions teacher"
You thought this over and realised that yeah, there is only one... why the fuck do they only have one teacher for each subject? Do they get breaks? That's unlikely seeing as they have to teach all four houses in all seven years over the span of only five days a week. That's mental that is. Regardless, you would have the time to ponder this later, for now you had a potion to steal. You crept into Snape's office and shut the door, pulling out your wand and enchanting "Colloportus" to lock it behind you.
Fred really knew what he was talking about, because there were indeed shelves next to the closet door. The third one up was even covered with books, and when you grabbed Fred out from your pocket and plonked him on the shelf, he pointed to the dusty copy of 'The Moral Implications of Love Potions' and you took it out to reveal a hole behind it big enough for tiny Fred, “This looks like an interesting read..." you mutter, flipping over to read the blurb. There was a mini scoff, and by mini you mean it was produced by a mini person.
"Right, well, you have fun reading that, I'll search for the potion. Be back in a second" and he was off, disappearing through the hole. You sigh, fidgeting with anxiety at possibly getting caught. Doesn't make sense though, Snape is in class, he has no reason to come in here. When do lessons end anyway? You glance around for a clock but don't find any. Serves you right for not wearing a watch... would a watch even work at Hogwarts?
You flipped open the book and began reading a random page: Dr Eglantine proposed the following moral dilemma: if two people love each other but are too afraid to admit to one another, is it wrong for one of them to drug the other with love potion? Wizarding philosophers are torn on this issue, and when intercourse is involved, the grey area becomes even larger—
There was a loud bang from outside, which made your heart drop. You scurry over to the door, pressing your ear against the cool wood, holding your breathe in hopes of hearing better. The sound of students filled your ears, but not just a few students having a free period, but a whole herd of them. That could only mean one thing: class had ended... Oh fuck!
"Fred!" you cry out in the quietest panic you can muster, scurrying over to the hole, "Snape is coming."
"Almost... there!" Fred called between grunts, emerging with the bottle. You snatched it up, preparing to despose of it into your pocket when Fred raised a valid argument, "Don't put it in there! Snape will check your pockets when he finds you here!" He began downing his second potion, growing only to the size of a regular sized hand, "Damn"
"Oh, right" you scan your body for another hiding place, then the thought came to you. You shove the vial up your shirt and into your bra.
"Great, now me!" Fred exclaims, raising his arms up.
"I can't put you in my bra! You're too big, he'll see you!" You scoop him, holding his torso like a toothbrush.
He stares up at you in stunned confusion, "Really? That was what was wrong with that plan?"
You realised you ought to have said 'no you pervert I'm not letting you touch my boobs' but now wasn't the time to curse yourself for it. Your heart was hammering with fear, inspecting your body for somewhere to stash him. The doorknob rattled, and the sickeningly familiar tone of Snape's voice cursed that it was locked. Your time was up, there was only one thing for it! You pulled away the elastic of your skirt and stuck him down there,
“WOAH—!" He yelped, hair practically standing on end.
"Just hold onto the elastic along the outside and we should be fine!" You put him onto your outer right thigh, knowing full well that a pair of shorts and a pair of underwear and a whole thigh were separate him from... that.
"Alohamora!" the door swung open just as you were putting the book back, and there stood Snape, in all his emo glory. He froze, clearly having not expected to find anyone inside. Once the shock had left his system, he straightened up and glared at you, “What exactly do you think you are doing?" his nasally voice grilled, doing nothing good for your nerves, which were in absolute tatters at the moment.
"I was looking for you, w-when someone locked me in the class" you scramble, the lie just about the worst you could come up with. You had to remind yourself that Fred was on the outside of your thigh. Considering he was in your skirts at all, that was the most innocent position he could be in. All he had to do was hold on to the elastic of your shorts and you should be fine!
"Why?" he trudged further into the classroom.
"Why was I looking for you or why did someone lock me in the class—?"
"Why were you looking for me?" His booming voice told you that you were on thin ice.
"Ah yes, well, I... I was having trouble with the essay assigned for tomorrow, and thought maybe you could help me"
Snape closed the door and came to lean on his large desk, "Do you really expect me to believe that one of my students, who has never once asked a question in six years, is now asking a question?"
You frown, so suddenly insulted that you almost forgot about Fred on your leg, "Professor Snape, I ask questions all the time"
"Oh, how unmemorable you are then" he sneers, making you fume, "Regardless, I'm going to need to search your pockets"
You sighed, "Yes, sir"
He stalked over to you, holding out a hand for your robes. You pushed the sleeves off each shoulder, removing it, and dumped it into his palm. As he began to examine it, you felt Fred's shoes scrapping against your skin. It's as though he's trying desperately to find a foothold, no doubt still exhausted from having to push the bottle. If he falls, not only will you be caught, but Fred could get seriously injured!
Again, you knew what you had to do but hesitated to do it. As subtly as you could, you extended the elastic of your skirt, took Fred out, then plonked him into your shorts. His entire body went flush against yours, no doubt the skin tight shorts were crushing him. As long as there was no more risk of him falling... Hopefully it wasn't suffocating him though.
"If it's too tight, move" you hissed, keeping your eyes trained on Snape, who unfortunately heard you.
"What did you say?"
"I said—" you took a sharp breath, feeling Fred's back sink further into the fat of your thigh as he pushed away the area of fabric suffocating him, "If it's too tight, move" you repeated loudly for the two men in the room. "The pockets get a bit stuck sometimes so you have to jostle it around a bit" you added to give fake context to an instruction that wasn't even meant for Snape.
The shadowy teacher was evidently confused, but decided to ignore your outburst. Meanwhile, you could feel Fred inching along the front of your thighs, moving closer to your core. This was fine, as you didn't exactly want him to asphyxiate in your shorts, that would be a tragic way to go. You did hope, however, that he wouldn't overshoot his target, and fall into the abyss between the crotch and pant leg. Just as you had thought it, you felt the man slip. You gasped, pressing your legs a little closer together, enough for him to reach out and grab the first piece of fabric he could get his hands on. Unfortunately for the both of you, that piece of fabric were your panties. You wondered whether he knew what he was doing, when he began to scramble onto it, lying down flat onto the crotch like a hammock. Your question was quickly answered by the sensation of his arms sticking into your folds, and the subsequent wriggling of regret.
Sucking in a deep breath, you had to grip the nearby desk with all your might to stop a loud moan escaping your lips. Regardless of how bizarre and awful this situation was, having anything rub against your clit was an arousal waiting to happen. Poor guy must have though those were your shorts he grabbed before... You were just about to dig in and help, when Snape extended your robes back to you. You'd have to walk, with mini Fred mushed into you vagina, all the way to grab it. Praying he might forgive you one day, you stepped forward, effectively compromising Fred's escape, trapping him between your knickers and crack. Talk about getting stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"Very well, I will take a look at your homework" and he rounded the desk, unfurling the essay he had taken from your pocket and sitting down in preparation to help. You swallow, approaching the table as he skimmed through it. He paused for a moment to look up, "Well, sit down" he ordered.
Staring down at the chair, you gulped. Every time you sit down during class, the skin tight shorts you wear, under your Hogwarts skirt, ride up into your ass. Having that happen right now is about as undesirable as they come, "Um, I'd rather not, if that's alright with you"
He blinked and looked back down at your work, "Well anyway, the beginning of your essay seems promising." You smiled, that was the part you wrote by yourself. Just wait until he gets to the part Fred helped you with. There were things he told you on the topic that you swore you had never heard before, you'll look like such an expert! Speaking of, the unfortunate blighter had given up on his attempts to leave, probably worried that his efforts might be thwarted again by your moving thighs. He was now using his hands and knees to keep himself pushed away from you. If you thought about it hard enough, you could convince yourself Fred was just a bumpy pad with a tuft of hair on the end... that moved.
Alright now body, I know you're an animal that listens to its instincts more than its brain, but please don't respond the same way you usually do when something— anything is pressing against you. You thought to yourself. We are not creating any new weird kinks today, thank you very much. Besides, the poor guy is going through enough as it is.
"You think Felix Felicis was created by Felix Williams... and that it contains balm, angel's trumpet, bitter root, and a single strawberry cooked under a full moon" he looked up from your work, pinning you with an expression of cold unamusement.
He must be testing you. Fred's a prankster but he isn't a dick... most of the time. He wouldn't. He couldn't! "Yes...?"
"Your Wolfsbane... does it contain any other nonsense ingredients I should know about?"
You froze, as did the guy in your pants. He must have heard, and Merlin have mercy he was going to pay for what he'd done!
This was just like that incident in fourth year all over again! You were in the showers after a quidditch match and Fred snuck in and stole your clothes and towel. When you realised you would had to run butt fucking naked all the way to your room, you were absolutely furious. Fred was lounging in the common room, along with twenty or so other people, and they all watched as you went gunning for the stairs. George felt awful, having not known his brothers prank, and offered to obliviate anyone who talked about it. It was then you realised Fred could be kind of a dick, and George was the man for you.
Fascinated by just how much Fredrick Weasley had fucked you over yet again, you decided to plop down on the chair opposite Snape. The moment you did, the skin tight shorts became skin tight. Fred's entire body went flush against yours, sending a delicious zap up your spine that attempted to summon a moan you coughed back, “Sorry, I wasn't trying to insult you with my work... I got a friend to help and it seems he was just taking the piss" Fred was moving, his chest bumping and smoothing over your clit. You had to actively try not to squeeze your thighs around him to increase the pressure.
George had bought you a dildo once as a "joke" (he just wanted to watch you wank yourself off, the kinky bugger) and you had run it between your folds, but that pailed in comparison to this. This was far better. Fred is made up of so many intricate parts, each of them squirming against you. His legs, for example, were kneading the source of your arousal. His shoes were in there now, using it as a foothold to try and push his way out. It was heavenly.
"Now I might remember you, as the girl with a poor judge of character" Snape interjected, pulling you out of your sexual haze. If the context were different, you might have gotten mad, but you couldn't bring yourself to at the moment. Not while you were getting oh so sweet revenge on a certain someone, "Well, for starters, dragon bone isn't an ingredient in any of these, so we might as well cross that off the list—" he took his red ink and began marking your paper. His voice became a distant drone in the background as you disassociated once against, focusing on how Fred had began shimmying his way to freedom. If only you could quicken his pace. If only you could rock your hips and fuck yourself against him. You weren't available to move, but he certainly was.
Leaving the one hand there on the desk, to rest your chin against, the other snuck under the table and under the hem of your skirt and shorts. Your fingers hovered above him, a little unsure what to do, until the index finger took initiative and pressed down onto his back through the pants. If he wasn't mushed against you before, he sure as hell was now. His hands slap your folds, but you could feel his head angled up for air. He should be fine.
You experiment by pushing him up. There his chin is triggering the most sensitive nerves of your clit! You roll your hips to savour it, using your thumb to squash his head down and create a more prominent friction. The round nature of his face and bumps making up his features created the most delicious rub. You had to loop your feet behind the desk's legs in order to stop your thighs from crushing him. When he slaps you for air, you reluctantly moved your thumb and pushed his body down. Now his feet were teasing your entrance with the sensation of being filled. You sat down more firmly onto your chair to shove him deeper inside of you. You pushed him up again, then down, up, down, repeating the gesture while his limbs squirmed, awakening new flesh with every swipe. Your middle finger joined the index's perch on his back to pick up the pace. You bit your lip and sucked a deep breath through your nose to push down all the noises that were bubbling to the surface. The only thing that could have moulded you any better than Fred would have been a literal mould. Even then, it wouldn't have been nearly so fun to hump.
You were now rolling him against you in deep tight circles. Your hips were swaying in time, and as much as you wanted to use your whole hand to rub him madly against you, you thought Snape might notice your entire arm thrusting under the table. Unconsciously, your thighs tighten around him, sucking him almost up into you. You lull your head back and arch into him, sighing in bliss. When Snape looked up, you snapped your head back down and froze, biting your fist in order to stop yourself whining in disapproval.
"Does that make sense?"
"Yes sir" what on earth were you agreeing to? You hadn't the foggiest.
"Then don't waste my time with useless garbage like this again. If you haven't produced a coherent, serious essay by tomorrow, I'll be deducting twenty points from your house. Now go!" He pointed to the door.
You had half a mind to snap back, but thought: to hell with him! You had things that needed your immediate attention, and no hooked nose, greasy hair, middle aged virgin was going to ruin that for you! “Very well, thank you sir" you stood up, and to your eternal disappointment, it loosened the strain of your clothes to unstick Fred from your cunt.
Exiting the class, you were devastated to find the hallway packed with students ready for their next potions lesson. The women's bathroom was just around the corner and up the stairs. All you had to do was get to it. You sped walked around the students, opting to push some aside rather than do any fancy footwork and likely squash the man inside of you. From the lack of movement, you guessed he had probably made peace with the situation. Luckily for you though, the movement of your walking kept banging him against you, and you had to stop yourself from dropping to the floor right then and there to grind him furiously against you.
When finally you had made it to the bathroom, casting "Colloportus" on the door for some privacy, you froze at the sight of someone stood inside with their back to you. You recognised those ginger locks straight away.
"George?" you called. He let go of the robe he was examining over the cubicle door and beamed, bounding up to you with all the excitement of a puppy.
"Darling! I've been looking for you everywhere, where have you been?"
What to say, what to say. You doubted rubbing your shrunk brother against my vagina in revenge would be largely acceptable, so you opted to white lie, "Oh, I needed Snape to help me with my potions essay"
George frowned, "Why'd you do that? I could have helped you. Can't imagine ol' hook nose was as fun as me"
"Well maybe if you weren't at that party last night—"
"What party?"
Judging by Fred's immediate scramble to break free, you imagined George was about to tell you something that would spell out very bad news for his twin. To stop his escape, you move a hand behind your back to fist your underwear and hoist it up, making it impossible to give way, "Fred told me you were at the Ravenclaw party last night..."
George's chocolate brown eyes widen in horror, immediately replaced by a scowl as he looked up to curse the air. Little did he know he actually should have been glancing down if he wanted to curse his brother. His squirming against you was making this entire thing leagues better, "What? Oh that prick! I was sick last night with a cold and sent him to apologise to you because I didn't want you catching it while Madam Pomfrey's sweets took effect"
Your cunt was fluttering in anticipation for what long and hard revenge you were about to take. Fred was scrambling so wildly, you couldn't wait to get down to business, "That asshat. He said you were drunk and convinced me to steal some stupid potion with him"
George's anger multiplied, "Bloody hell! I told him not to do that"
"What do you mean?" You were genuinely curious, but your body had literally no care in the world. It was hoisting your pants even higher to keep Fred glued there, wriggling your hips as your breathing became laboured.
George didn't seem to notice, "He was planning on making a thing of love potion with it. Told him it was a stupid idea and he was perfectly popular enough to get anyone he wanted without it. He's got hundreds of girls and guys in the past, I can't think of who he thought he needed to trick..." you consider it for a moment. That was a very good question, it's strange for Fred to care so much about someone... but this could be left for another time.
You hook your foot behind George's leg and brought it forward to wedge it in between yours. Without warning you hopped up and felt Fred immediately sink into your flesh. You doubled over, gripping George's shoulders, and moaning to savour the feel of being entirely and completely touched. George had to brace his hands against the door either side of your head to stop himself from falling over. In surprise rapture, he watched as you were already so unravelled. Finally, the surface you needed. Twins were supposedly two halfs of a whole, and never before had that sentiment rung so true. His leg was the missing component that pushed Fred so absolutely into you, no margin of error. All of him was rubbing against you now as you began humping without mercy.
You thrust yourself forwards and backwards, side to side, around in broad circles. Your folds accommodated him so well, stretching to make sure he always stayed between them. At times you were almost sure you could feel them curling around him, to keep him there as a permanent feature. Tempting indeed, he certainly made walking more fun, and imagine the possibilities in History of Magic. He could get you off under the table without anyone having a clue!
Fred was becoming slick with your arousal, lubricating him into slipping and sliding into usually unattainable flesh you never knew yearned for touch. And because of George's pressure under him, his hold on those neglected areas of your cunt was positively sinful. You throw your head back, your hands on George's shoulders, tugging up and down to massage yourself against Fred.
"What is that bump in your pants?" he finally questioned, having snapped out of his shock.
"Just a sex toy" you reply earnestly, making no alterations to your position.
There was a sudden sting on your clit that made you yelp and stop for a moment. Fred must have bit you... and it was incredible. You wondered whether you could get him to do it again, "It's loves being in there while I fuck myself with it. A tool for my pleasure" You were bouncing up and down like a rubber ball, poking him to react. He still wasn't doing anything to participate, but it was fine. You were doing more than enough for the both of you. All he needed to do was be there as you pounded yourself onto him. Then, your continuous lifting and applying onto him made his shoulder lodge so deep inside of you, you let out a howling moan, crushing George's lips to yours in order to muffle the sheer volume of the scream. He pulls your bottom lip into his mouth, urgently swiping his tongue against yours. You moan and put everything you have into the kiss, allowing him to dive in and taste you. George's lips began to wander, bitting, nibbling and sucking his way to your pulse. His hands came up to hastily undo your tie and shirt, pushing them aside to reveal your bare stomach. As he works your skin into his mouth, creating a glorious love bite on the swell of your neck, his palms fan out across your stomach. You take a sharp breath, as he caressed towards your bra, grinning against you when he notices it's the one he got you for Valentine's Day that unhooks at the front. Lucky coincidence, all your other ones were just dirty.
"I leave you for one night and you become a horny mess" George teases, his hands gliding down your sides to grip your hips. He nudged your legs apart, spreading you wider over your toy. Although he didn't take over the pace, he certainly sped you up. God you could have kissed him for knowing exactly how to whind up your pleasure. A shame then that his mouth was currently occupied with other things. You tangle your hands into his hair as he strokes your nipple with his tongue, pulling it into his mouth and hollowing his cheeks to suck it hard. Your head lulled back to angle yourself further into him, whimpering at how close your climax was.
Seemed Fred was just as desperate to get it over with as you were. He was now doing everything in his power to jack you off. He had somehow managed to grasp your clit between his hands, and paired with your thrusting it created a borderline unnatural amount of pleasure. You were screaming with moans. But somehow more importantly than all that, he had his leg plunged inside of you.
That was it. The idea had been toying in your mind this whole time, but now you knew you needed him inside if you. "Wait a second George" you breathed, perching yourself a little higher in order to stick a hand down your panties, pinching Fred so his arms were trapped by his sides, and sliding him, feet first, through your entrance, until nothing showed of him but his head.
Head back, mouth open in an overjoyed groan, something in you snapped. You didn't even have to thrust him in and out. He was twisting, his arms and legs were flailing in the little space available to them. The walls were hugging his every curve, likely trying to suction him to the back. It was the combination of George flicking your nipple with his tongue and Fred massaging your insides that had you finally unravelling. Hot, slick, arousal came dribbling past what little gaps Fred’s body provided, and you went limp in his brother’s arms with one final howl.
George straightened up to hold you close, stroking your hair until you were ready to stand on your own again, “Nifty toy you got there. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you quite so animalistic” he chuckled.
Wiping the sweat of your brow off on your robes, you tried to make yourself look presentable again, smirking up at your boyfriend as you redid the buttons of your shirt, “Yes, well, nothing beats actual sex with you. Wanna go for a round two in your room?”
He beams, “Course! Want me to wait?”
“Nah, I’ll meet you up there” you gesture him away. Normally you would ask him to stay, but you had something to deal with first.
“Alright, see you in five” all excited, he ran for the door, then turned back just as he had performed the unlocking spell to give you a quick peak on the lips, then off he went.
Rummaging around in your shorts, you sigh as you unclog your hole, the contents stringing against Fred as you lift him to eye level. Merlin he looked awful. His fiery hair was stood on end, gelled up with your cum. His white shirt was practically transparent and clung to his abs as though it have been soaked in water. His eyes were a little bloodshot probably from liquid splashing into them, and his lips were rather swollen, like they would be after making out with someone for too long or too roughly. Just generally, your essence was rolling off of him in big globs. You placed your other hand to your mouth and giggled at his appearance, but he seemed the furthest thing from amused. His arms were crossed over his chest, a highly displeased scowl etched across his face.
“Oh don’t look at me like that!” you say, “If you hadn’t planned the robbery so terribly, or lied to me on twooccasions in the 8 hours proceeding it, getting me to write a whole 4 thousand word essay on things that were complete horseshit, humiliating me on front of Snape and—“
“Alright alright—!” He had softened up a little, averting eye contact, but you didn’t care.
“No! I’m not done!” That got his attention again, “Fred, you have been a dick to me for the past six years! Sure, you’re funny and can be sweet sometimes, but most of the time you don’t know where the line is! You prank me all the time, it’s relentless! And today you bloody pushed me over the edge. I had a perfect means of getting revenge and damn it I took it.”
He shrugs, “Whatever, I guess we’re even now”
You open your mouth to continue arguing but snap it shut when you realised what he had said. That really took much less convincing than you though, probably because you were feeling a smidge guilty for going so far in the heat of anger. It’s not like he orgasmed or anything... well if he did you wouldn’t be able to tell, his trousers were drenched, “Yeah, I guess...”
You waddled to the sink, turning both faucets on for lukewarm water, plonking him in the basin to clean off the sticky residue. You then hobbled into the closest stall to grab a wad of tissue and wipe yourself clean with it. Despite how absolutely caked in the stuff Fred was, you were still drenched. You exit the stall a couple of minutes later to find him completely washed down, "Right, let's get you back to your normal size, but let's put you in my pocket this time..."
"What a shame. I had really learned to call your vag my home" the sarcasm drooled from his lips.
You scooped him up, pinning him with a warning eye, "I'll put you back in there if you're not careful."
"Sorry sorry sorry!" he back peddled, extending his arms like a man about to be hit by an unforgivable curse. You gently lay him in your pocket, and snapped your head up to find Moaning Myrtle staring at you in disbelief.
"Umm..." the ghost muttered, for once in her life (or death) at a loss for words.
"Don't tell anyone what you saw here today, Myrtle" you warned, pointing a long threatening finger at her, "Not like they'd believe you anyway"
She nodded vigorously and dove into the nearest sink.

A/N: So I wrote this in, like, 3-4 days because I felt like it's pretty bad but not bad enough not to post it. I hope you still enjoy it, though!
Tumblr media
You always felt it — breathing in your nape, moving in the corner of your room at night, whispering things you shouldn't dare think about. Your own personal demon. Most of the time you did a good job at ignoring it. Most of the time you abused substances to make it go away, at least for a minute. With the puff of weed or a bottle of alcohol, it stayed away, only watching from afar and never involving itself with you. Most of the time.
Keys clung in your hands, door shutting behind as you walked into your apartment, fingers wrapped around your grocery bags. Yet another night of drinking the voice away.
"Not today, Satan." You hummed, popping open a bottle of gin, nose scrunching at the bitter taste.
"I keep telling you, the easiest way to get rid of me would be to kill yourself." It spoke, this time outside of your head.
"And I keep telling you to stay the fuck away from me." You growled back.
"We both know that's not possible."
Another sip and you put the bottle down, hands digging inside the bag for a snack.
"You're gonna need something stronger than that."
There it was, the bar of chocolate you so eagerly starved for. The TV suddenly turned on. It was craving entertainment.
"Anything unusual happened today?"
No, it was craving attention and you were not about to give it any. You put the groceries inside the fridge and grabbed the bottle, plopping on the couch.
"How long are you going to pretend I'm not here?"
"As long as I need." You snapped back, eyes glued to the TV.
"Well, that didn't last long." It laughed. "Come on, Y/N, we've been together for, what, 24 years?"
"Can you just shut up? Disappear? Crawl back to Hell?"
"Nope. Waaaaait, I know why you've got your panties in a twist. It's because that Jean guy you like hooked up with Mikasa, right?"
It was impossible to deal with. Every single second, it was there. Since you've been born, it was there, always watching, always following you, always. You tried to go to a priest, a monk, anything, but nothing helped. The angel that was supposed to guide you happened to be a demon and there was nothing you could do about it. But you were not going to give it the satisfaction of ending your pathetic life, no matter how much you wanted to, because despite being a demon, it still had to keep you alive until your time came. It, however, did like to push you over the edge, push you until you grabbed a knife and slit your wrists, only for the knife to get shoved by some invisible force before you could finish the job. It tormented you and it loved it.
"I told you, not today, Satan."
"Ugh, my name's-"
"I don't care." Your head snapped into the direction of the voice, only to be met with a wall. "Let's face it, we shouldn't have been in this situation, so why don't you shut your mouth up and let me get on with my life?"
"What life?" It laughed and you could already picture the sneer on its face, flashing you fangs and a forked tongue. "That's not even what I look like."
"Get out of my head!" You screamed before grabbing the bottle and emptying half of its contents.
"Careful, Y/N, the neighbours might call the police and you don't want to end up like last time, do you?"
Last time... you were but a child, throwing plates at the wall only to make it stop talking when your parents admitted you to an asylum. You had to live with it for half a year before they let you out.
"Please, please stay out of my head." Tears pooled at your eyes as you clutched the bottle at your chest.
"Now why would I stay out when it's just so much fun in you?"
"God, I hate you so much!"
"Me or beardy up there? I couldn't quite get it." It laughed again, laughing at your damn misery as you got up from the couch and left the apartment.
The alcohol already made its way to your brain when you reached the ground floor of the building. Rain poured outside but you didn't care, you just ran as far away from it as possible and for the first time in years, it didn't follow you. Grateful and content, you slowed down, admiring the beauty of the city which you ignored because of the voice inside of your head. The smell of rain, the colourful buildings, the empty streets, everything felt new and refreshing, and you took it all in. Time seemed to slow down without itconstantly nagging in the back of your mind and you realised you were pretty far away from your home, an area unknown to you. Still, you knew how to get back, you hoped, but when you turned around, a man pushed you into an alleyway.
"Satan?" You whispered, dizzy from the lingering gin and smell of rain. The man pinned you to a wall and finally you were beginning to realise what was happening.
"Call me whatever you want, baby, just keep that pretty voice down." His hand moved up your thigh and panic seeped through your veins. "We don't want to draw any attention, now, do we?" He kissed your neck and you froze on the spot, eyes widening in fear and body shivering.
"L-let go of me!" You managed, the alcohol numbing your arms, rendering you unable to push the stranger away.
"Shhh, don't fight it." The man squeezed your arms, his fingers bruising the soft skin. Anger, sadness and pain coiled together in your chest and you couldn't breathe anymore. Oh, how you wished you never left your flat, how you wished you stayed back and listened to itconstantly yapping, like a maggot crawling into your brain. "Aren't you a pretty one?" He cooed, his hand travelling lower, lower, to the point where tears started rolling down your cheeks, mixing with the snot and rain on your face.
And then it happened — in the blink of an eye, your assailant was thrown against the other wall by the too familiar invisible force as you sank to the ground, eyes puffy and red, legs trembling.
"The fuck? What are you?" The man hissed at you, his hands holding his abdomen.
"I'm the devil." It spoke, voice inhuman and perilous, and you could only sneer at him. For the first time you were happy it was there. Sick, twisted thoughts invaded your mind and you wanted to watch him suffer, and itknew. It knew, because the devil was always in your head.
"You crazy bitch!" The assailant, now helpless and overpowered, did not know about your own personal demon, and he tried to get up, tried to leap forward at you and strangle the last bit of air out of your lungs, but he couldn't. Somethingwas holding him back.
"You want him dead?" It asked, but you know the devil took more pleasure in inflicting pain rather than swiftly killing.
"No." You grinned, eyes dark and dangerous. "I want him to suffer."
"That's my girl."
Blood-curling screams echoed in the alleyway. You didn't know what it was doing to him, but you knew for a fact that you were enjoying the sounds that came out of your attacker. His wrists contorted in a way you didn't think was possible, and the melody of broken bones reminded you that what was happening was wrong. For a moment, your brain was rational, telling you that it should stop, that you should both just leave and forget this ever happened. But... it also felt good, it felt like you've just been reborn, discovering a deeply buried part of you that ached to be exposed. Then, his legs twisted and the man winced in pain, so much pain, and your heart fluttered in your chest.
"More?" It asked and you nodded.
"More."
His arms looped, like a deformed puppet loosely strung, and it made him dance in the rain until his body gave up from fatigue.
"Aw, I was really hoping he'd be a feisty one." It mused, and you also clicked your tongue in disappointment. Before you left, you gave your assailant a good kick in the stomach, your boot stomping on his face with so much anger and force that what remained was unrecognisable.
Wet clothes piled on the floor, you wrapped your naked body in a blanket to warm yourself up. What just happened? What did you do? Why did you allow it to happen and more importantly, why did you love every minute of it? The questions jogged in your fuzzy brain, as you slowly sobered up.
"Why did I enjoy it, Satan?" You asked, lips quivering.
"I told you, my name's not Satan, it's-"
"Eren, I know. I remember." You could feel it quirk a brow, surprised and impressed by its name rolling down your tongue so naturally. "Why did I enjoy it? It's wrong and disgusting."
"Do you remember what happens when you say my name?" It sounded almost concerned.
"You physically manifest, I know. Now answer my fuckingquestion."
"What do you want me to say?" Itasked, fragments of muscle, skin and silk pulling together from thin air. First, its legs. Then, its upper body, draped in a charcoal-black robe. "That you're as sadistic as I am? Maybe it wasn't a mistake that you have a demon, not an angel." And finally, its face materialised in front of you — long dark brown hair falling down his shoulders and eyes so green, it felt like a forest was in them. It looked almost human, the hooked nose, the elongated ears, the deeply sunken emeralds and jagged mouth betraying its true nature.
"I thought you'd have fangs." Was your only response at the scene unfolding in front of you, blanket clutched at your chest. Any normal person would shudder at the demonic sight of Eren appearing in front of them, but to you, it felt comforting to finally assign a face to the voice you so desperately tried to ignore.
"And I thought you wanted to get rid of me." It scoffed, its facial features changing, becoming softer and resembling a human man, but those eyes didn't change an ounce.
"I don't know what I want anymore. If it weren't for you, I would've been raped and dead, probably."
"Just embrace it, Y/N. Just let go of that annoying voice in your head that tells you it's wrong." He encouraged. "There's no such thing as good or bad, right or wrong. It's just surviving, adapting or dying."
Eren looked unbelievably human and incredibly handsome in the dim light of your living room lamp. Maybe it was the alcohol that hasn't left your body yet, or maybe it was the fact that he saved you, again, but the truth was that the devil in your house was making you feel something you couldn't even feel for Jean — and you thought you were in love with Jean.
"Alright, let's pretend for a moment that I give into temptation." Your eyes found his and you felt hypnotised, the rational part of your brain slowly overshadowed by your instincts and feelings. "What then? Do you leave me alone? Do you go back to hell? Do Igo to hell?"
"Oh, I wouldn't call it hell. More like a demonic paradise." He shrugged, eyes bored and blank, devout of any emotion. You leaned forward trying to search for something in his darkened orbs.
"Why are you being nice to me? You're supposed to save me from death, not rape."
He clicked his tongue, your question drilling into his brain, repeating itself over and over again. Why did he save you? It's not like he cared, he only did his job, right? Right?
Wrong.
The demon you grew up with, the demon who tormented you, the demon who tried so desperately to ruin your life did, in fact, give two shits about you and your pathetic existence. Just not in the way you thought.
"Let's just say no one gets to touch you but me." Eren closed the gap between you two, his nose almost grazing over yours. He was absolutely intoxicating and you always fought with the constant need to let him control you. After all, he was always with you, he saw you hit your lowest points, he saw the best of you, he saw your naked body, he saw everything, ergo you were his. Your head quickly turned to the side before you leaned back, exhaustion written all over your face as Eren clicked his tongue. The thing about demons was that they couldn't physically interfere without their human's consent, only using invisible force to stop you from dying and he was just so close.
"Ah, but you can't touch me, though." You trailed off, brow quirked at his narrowed eyes. You've done your homework, you knew what he needed, but still, that side of you tried to prevail over the side that craved his touch.
"Yet." Eren snapped back before your drifted to sleep.
Once again you dreamt of it him, his cock buried deep inside your needy cunt as you screamed his name over and over again while you came undone. When you jolted up from your sleep, he was there, watching you, like a predator stalking its prey. Normally he wouldn't be there, but since you called his name, Eren was glaring down at your helpless body, famished for something only you could give him.
"What's the time?" You groaned, fingers rubbing your eyelids.
"Three in the morning." He answered, eyes glued to you. "Bad dream?" The demon sneered. You knew he'd been in your head again, you knew those dreams existed for a reason.
"They wouldn't be bad if you'd just stay the fuck out of my mind." You hummed with a fake smile.
"Alright then, look me in the eye and tell me, reallytell me you want me to leave you alone." But you couldn't and he knew it. "Stop fighting it, Y/N. For two decades you kept trying. Maybe you should stop being stubborn and just give in." Eren shrugged, his voice tempting and you only wondered if that's how Eve felt when the snake tempted her. You weren't a Christian by any means, but you knew the story well enough to figure out the consequences.
"I have work tomorrow. Please let me sleep." You got up from the couch, blanket wrapped around your shoulders.
And that's when Eren reached his limits. He followed you into your bedroom, something knocking the wind out of you as you fell on the mattress. Somethingpulling the blanket off of you. Somethingtravelling down your arms, goosebumps dotting your skin as he stood in the doorway.
"I can't touch you, but I can do so many things to you." He inched closer, his figure imposing and dangerous and you could feel your core burning. "I can smell your arousal, Y/N. I know you want it. You just have to say it." Eren demanded and you hated that he was right. Slowly but surely, the battle in your heart and mind was coming to an end the more he got closer to the bed. "Say it."
You whined and writhed in pain and pleasure, and in the blink of an eye your life flashed before your eyes as you came to the conclusion that you've tried so hard to stay away from the demon, but either he was too persistent, or you were too weak. Or you just simply wanted him to ravage you and you were okay with that. Your hands stopped moving, your body stopped fighting.
"Do it..." You half-begged, judgement clouded, vision blurry. "Please, do it! Touch me, break me, fuck me, please! I need you, need to feel you..."
Like some sort of spell had just been lifted, Eren felt relieved. The sight of your sprawled body, combined with the lustful look in your lidded eyes only fed his hunger and he was famished. Calloused fingertips grazed over your knees, up your thighs, sending chills down your spine as you arched your back, pulling the demon closer to your face.
"Kiss me?" You asked, voice sweet and needy and he crushed his lips onto yours. They were surprisingly soft, tasting of whiskey and honey and the flavour lingered on your lips after he pulled away. Your body quivered under his touch, yearning for more, hands tugging at his silken robe to expose the chiselled chest. Eren pressed his forehead onto yours, hot breath tickling your cheeks.
"I'm going to ruin you, Y/N." He dug his teeth into your shoulder, the imprint burning into your skin, all the pent-up frustration slowly being released with each movement. He dragged one hand over your breasts before settling on one nipple, fingers pinching it to earn a reaction out of you. A whimper escaped from your lips as you pushed your chest upwards, wanting him closer than the laws of physics would allow. Your slender hands tangled in his locks as Eren left a trail of purple marks and bites all over your neck and shoulder.
"Fill me up, please..."
"Patience." He mused. "I've waited so many years for this, you can wait a few more minutes." Head buried between your tits, his hand travelled lower until it found your wet cunt. Fingers grazed over your folds before he drove his index into your soaked pussy and that's when you knew just how much you craved him. Your silken walls clenched around his curled-up finger and your neediness made him add another one, moans drilling through his eardrums, into his brain. "Fuck, you're so wet..." Eren hummed, vibrations tickling your skin. You couldn't form a coherent sentence even if your life counted on it. All you could think about was that if his fingers stretched you, his cock would tear your cunt apart — and you reallywanted to feel that. Fingernails dug into his back and he hissed, his tongue flicking your nipple and all the build-up was too much for you.
"Eren, please..." You mewled, your chest rising and falling with each breath, with each touch, each lick.
"You want me to fuck you? Want me to tear you apart?" The demon growled. His sudden change in tone only further added fuel to the fire inside your core and you eagerly nodded.
"Yes, God — yes! But Eren, I want to see you, not this pretty face you put on." You pleaded, eyes teary and demanding.
"No." He simply answered and that instantly made you jolt up, forcefully pushing him off of you.
"Are you trying to screw with my mind again? You've literally been with me for 24 years!" You shouted, and even Eren was slightly confused. "You tormented me for two decades, put me in an asylum, constantly stopped me from killing myself and now I can't even see the real you?" You threw your hands at him and he caught your wrists with ease. "You owe me at least that, Satan." Tears freely rolled down your face and you could feel his hot tongue lick the salty drops from your cheek. Your pain was his pleasure, he was a demon after all, the embodiment of all evil, but he decided you were corruptedenough to at least see his true colours, which you only managed to glance at.
"You're right, Y/N," Eren kissed your forehead and you couldn't even notice the manipulative hints in his voice, "you deserve at least this." He pulled back, and slowly his face distorted, allowing you to look at his disfigured mouth, elongated ears and abnormally long tongue.
"Thank you, thank you!" You beamed with bright eyes.
The woman who battled her demon? Gone.
In her place stood only a shell of a person, whose sole purpose was to get fucked by the demon in front of her. You feverishly parted his lips with your tongue, touch-starved and desperate, and Eren threw you onto the bed, robe pooled on the floor. And you were right, his cock wouldtear you apart by the looks of it. Before he could do anything, you spread your legs for him, like a good little slut, mouth agape and nothing but lust in your eyes. The sneer on his face was unlike anything you've seen before, and it both terrified and aroused you.
"Eager to please, aren't you?" He climbed onto the bed, the velvety tip of his cock barely touching your wet slit.
"I'm begging you, Eren, please fuck me!"
The demon scoffed at your pathetic words, but he couldn't deny how much he loved to hear your needy voice. You wouldn't have to know that, of course. He ever so slowly pushed the tip in between your folds, your cunt greedily taking it all in while you whimpered at the foreign sensation.
"Shhh," Eren cooed at you mockingly, "you love it, don't you?"
"Y-yes, please, d-deeper..."
Was it really you speaking or was this another one of his demonic tricks? And more importantly, did it even matter that he made you say those things when his cock felt just so good inside of you? Your legs wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer to you as Eren thrusts became harder. Your tits bounced with every move, pleasure engulfing both of you and you never knew demons fucked so raw.
"Fuck, you're so tight." He hissed into your ear, the compliment only making you clench your walls around his impossibly hard cock. "Such a good girl." Eren praised you, knowing perfectly well how much you lacked appreciation from your parents, knowing perfectly well how your childhood traumas and frustration only aided him. He was your demon, after all. When your only response was to roll your eyes at the back of your head like a possessed woman, Eren picked up the pace, his abnormal tongue licking at your collarbone.
"D-do you l-like it?" You asked, concerned that he might not be satisfied with you. He wouldn't be fucking you so hard if he didn't, but you were so brainwashed that nothing made sense anymore.
"I do, doll, now be a good whore and rub that clit, will you?" The demon urged and with a shaky hand you complied, the friction mixed with his thrusts sending you into a frenzy. You were close and he knew it.
"Oh, f-fuck! Eren!"
His cock hit that sweet spot and you were done for, your legs loosened around his waist, falling onto the bed, but he kept on fucking you.
"My turn." Eren growled, his hands lifting your hips like you were some sort of ragdoll between his fingers. Your vision blurred, every word you tried to utter lost in your throat the more he buried himself into you, yet somehow you still managed to clench your walls. With one final thrust you felt him spill his hot seed, cum dripping out of your sore cunt as he pulled out.
Eren plopped next to you and you curled up in a ball, head on his chest. You were craving his attention, his care, but he responded by bringing his hands behind his head, eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. He wanted to hold you tightly, he wanted to pet your head, but he couldn’t. And you were alright with that, because you knew that, no matter what, you would always have your own personal demon at your side.

Burned Beginnings, Chapter 4
<<Previous  Next>>
10. Tutoring
When Marinette entered the bakery to help Adrien complete the handfuls upon handfuls of special orders, he could tell she was on a mission. He really liked the strong set of her posture and determined glint in her eye whenever she got that way, which meant he’d have trouble ignoring that distraction and keeping on top of the schedule.
“So,” she began, turning her fiery look towards him. “I think I’ve made a decision.”
Adrien raised a brow. “What?”
“About the fashion world.”
“You have my attention.” After all, she’d been researching non-stop for over a month, now. He’d seen how much it was wearing on her. At the moment, she looked revitalized.
“I need you to be my own private tutor for a moment.”
Adrien couldn’t help but grin like a cat that got the cream. He sauntered up to her, striking his best pose. “Oh? Just what am I gonna be teaching you, milady? And is this really the place for it?”
Marinette’s expression fell flatter than a crepe. “Adrien.”
“Hint taken,” he said, straightening himself up. “What am I teaching you?”
“I want every story you have to tell,” she said. “You may not have been a designer, but you first hand witnessed your father’s fashion empire and were involved in several different sides of it. I want to know your own personal experience with everything. Good, bad, ugly, right, wrong; I want to know.”
His mouth set in a hard line. “I… I wouldn’t mind it,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck. “But fair warning: I’m biased.”
“That’s what I want to know, too,” she said. “The fashion industry is extremely competitive. And from the data I’ve seen, there’s plenty of people who go in with high hopes, only to get chewed up and spit out. What are your dark secrets? What am I actually looking forward to if I go in?”
Adrien frowned. He had plenty of stories to tell, that wasn’t the issue. What was the problem was the likelihood they’d discourage her from pursuing fashion any further. And if she did end up wanting to go into fashion, he didn’t want to crush any hope she currently held.
But looking at her now, he realized he wouldn’t be able to tell her no. She had a determination in her eyes that was both sexy and frightening. That look warned that she was on the verge of a decision, and whatever she chose would be ultimate and final.
Part of him loved that fire in her, and part of him wished he had half the gumption she did.
“Okay,” he relented. “But before I do, can you promise me that you’re not basing everything off what I say? That it will only add to all the other research you’ve done.”
She nodded resolutely. “Promise.”
He sighed. “Well,” he said, giving her a sheepish smile. “Guess the question now is where do I even begin?”
 11. Truth or Dare
Marinette had come to her decision, and no one would sway her from it.
The tales Adrien had told her were mostly along the lines of what she expected, while there were others that more strongly leaned towards “that’s pretty good,” and still others that crossed into “that’s really bad” territory.
So, after that evening, the question she had faced herself with was not “could I handle this?” but rather “do I want to do this?” and “do all the potential benefits out way all the negative?”
But really, that brought her back to “what do I even want out of life?” because her answer changed everything…
Which make her realize that maybe she wasn’t so resolute in her decision after all.
She was almost nineteen. By now, most of her classmates had plans for the future they were all pursuing. She had thought she’d had plans, but when they all crumbled beneath her feet, she found herself lost, wondering around the Land of What-Do-I-Do-Now?
“Marinette!”
With a squeak, she practically leapt five feet into the air at the sudden voice right beside her. When she realized it was Adrien, she leaned against the bakery table with a heavy sigh. “You nearly gave me a heart attack!”
“Someone was lost in thought.”
“Yeah! And the last thing you do when someone is lost in thought is purposefully surprise them by suddenly appearing right beside them. Jerk!” With a hint of a smile, she took some of the flour on the table and flicked it at him, knowing that if she did, he’d wipe that apologetic look of his face and loosen up a bit.
“Hey!” He turned away, but not quick enough. Flour dusted his perfect jawbone and perfect collar bone and perfectly fitted t-shirt. But it was the perfect smile that he wore that made the rest of the heaviness she felt on her shoulders disappear, even if only for a moment.
“Don’t do that again,” she warned, her voice not really holding any bite in it.
“No promises,” he said with a chuckle, dusting the flour off him. “That was a pretty cute squeak, princess.”
She just sighed. There was no getting him off the name by now so she’d just learned to roll with it. “I am not cute! I am fierce.”
“Yeah, like a little fluffy Papillion.”
She gasped, flicking even more flour at him. He laughed again.
“Is the bread in the oven yet, Marinette?” her father called out, bringing her back to reality.
“Almost!” she cried, quickly hurrying to score the tops of the loaves on the last pan before hurriedly sticking all the pans she’d made in the oven. “Done!”
“Thank you.” That was when her papa reappeared. “The fridge is clean now, so I’m off.”
“And I’m on,” Adrien said with a grin. “There’s only a couple special orders to handle tonight, right?”
“Yup. You’ll finish those in a flash.”
Adrien beamed. “Perfect. Got to love when my days are easy.”
Her papa chuckled. “Can’t disagree with you there. Being a baker is more fun when you don’t have too large an order burden.”
“Exactly,” Adrien agreed, already tying on his apron.
After Marinette saw her papa off, leaving just her and Adrien in the kitchen, he sidled up to her. “Let’s play a game.”
She quirked a brow at him. He looked way too mischievous at the moment. “You just got on shift, and you want to play a game?”
He was positively beaming. “Yup.”
Although she shook her head, she didn’t mind it. She enjoyed running shifts with Adrien or just hanging out with him in general. But she knew that if they started up, she was the one who’d have to keep them on track for the night. “Start in on something first. Unless you wanna be here all night.”
“Point taken.” Immediately, Adrien set to work weighing ingredients and then mixing up a dough.
“So,” he said as he worked. “Truth or dare.”
Marinette dropped the bench scraper in her hand, less out of shock and more out of annoyance, as she shot him an incredulous look. “Are you kidding me?”
“No.”
“You want to play truth or dare? Now?”
“Yup. Just for a couple rounds.”
Little red flags went up in Marinette’s mind as she studied the overly happy blond. “Why?”
“Because I want to. Now! Truth or dare?”
She should shut this down before they got into trouble, but she had the feeling he’d tease her for it if she did. And she was not going to give him the chance. “Which one do you want me to pick?”
Adrien turned to study her a moment. “Dare.”
“Truth, then,” she countered with a grin.
“Yes!” He pumped his fist in the air. “I was banking on that.”
This time, she almost did drop the bench scraper out of shock. “What?”
“I know you,” he twittered, grinning like the idiot he was. “I know you. You weren’t going to give me the satisfaction of picking what I wanted; you never do. So, I just played you like the cheap fiddle you are.”
Marinette tried to look offended. She really did. But it was hard when her cute, idiot coworker was doing a happy dance. That, and she rather enjoyed this banter they always had. “Excuse you, who are you calling a cheap fiddle?”
“You, princess.”
“Oh really? The kazoo is calling me a cheap fiddle.”
“Kazoo?”
“Kazoo.”
He pantomimed being stabbed through the heart, and while he tried to keep the smile off his face, she could tell he was struggling. “Ahh, the ice princess is so cold. The light is fading. Limbs. Growing. Cold.”
She failed suppressing a laugh, turning and hiding her growing grin behind her hand. He was such a dork.
Adrien seemed to pull himself together, laughing along with her as he went back to measuring more ingredients. “Okay, okay. Back to the topic at hand.”
Marinette calmed herself, but her smile refused to budge. “Okay, you were asking me truth.”
Adrien came to stand right across from her. He reached across the table, grabbing her hands and pulling them closer. Her smile was gone now, and so was Adrien’s, as their combined hands rested in the middle of the table. “Scale of one to ten, how much do you trust me?”
Her cheeks and neck and chest flushed red as she stared into his green eyes. “W… what brought that on?”
His grasp on her hands tightened. “I just want to know.”
That was a lie. Or, at least only a half truth. He had a different reason for asking that specific question. She knew it. She could tell. Eight months of working together, and she’d come to be able to read this man like a book.
When had they gotten so close?
She took a breath to clear her mind. She’d probe him later, or maybe their little game would give her the answer she was looking for in that regard. But for now, she quietly responded, “A solid 8.5.”
Adrien paused, taking in those words before slowly nodding. “8.5,” he murmured. “I’ll take it.”
With that, he pulled his hands away. Marinette felt the loss immediately, but there wasn’t anything she was willing to do to make them come back. Not yet, anyway.
And would her heart calm down already? The way it was racing made it hard to think.
“Truth or dare?” she asked, voice quiet.
“Truth,” he answered.
“How many secrets would you say you’re hiding from me right now?”
A loaded question, Marinette knew. But she just had a feeling, an inkling, that she knew the exact number. One for what he was hiding now, and one… if he had feelings for her.
It wasn’t the first time that thought had popped into her mind. She’d had her suspicions for a while now that his flirty banter wasn’t just out of good, playful fun. And maybe she was reading into it too much, but she felt like he’d been more… touchy with her lately. A fist pound here, a pat on the shoulder here, a playfully light punch to the arm in the heat of their teasing; things like that. And if not touching, then he seemed to like being close. And and and…
And was she wrong, or did when he ask her ‘truth’, he purposefully make it that intimate?
Do you like me, Adrien? Or am I jumping to a conclusion?
And to I like you in return? Or am I mistaking our friendship for something more?
Because I don’t want to hurt you. And I don’t want to get hurt by you.
But…
It might be too late for that.
“Like…” Adrien began after a moment’s pause. “Define secret.”
“Something that you do not, in the near future, intend to tell me or would be comfortable in telling me.”
Adrien pursed his lips. “How will you know I’m being honest about the number?”
“I trust you 8.5 out of ten, right?” she softly reminded. “A number that can go up or down at any time.”
That got Adrien to wince. “Yeah,” he murmured.
There was a long pause, one Marinette wasn’t sure he was going to break.
“How far is ‘near future’?” he finally asked.
“Does it matter?”
“Yeah, it does.”
She paused. “Then answer how many secrets are on the line here.”
“Only one.”
“Only one?”
“Something I am not comfortable telling you or don’t intend to tell you in the near future, per your words, yes. Only one.”
Her brows knit together. Only one? Which meant… either the thing he was hiding now or the feelings. It was one or the other, but not both. “So…” she said, trying to hide her disappointment. “Are you saying that you intend to tell me this sometime in the future? But don’t know when in the future that will be?”
His brow knit together nervously, before he played it off with a warbly smile. “I’m pretty sure I answered my truth, already, princess.”
She frowned. Technically, he did, in an odd, roundabout way that somehow left her with more questions than answers. “Fine. How about we just drop this already?”
Part of her didn’t want to drop it. Part of her wanted to be able to pull another truth out of him. She wanted… needed to know which secret he was hiding. But she wasn’t sure her heart could handle it if it wasn’t the secret she wanted it to be.
“One more round,” he quickly begged.
Marinette quirked a brow but surrendered without fuss. “Fine. Dare. What are you gonna make me do now?”
He grinned. “I was hoping for that.”
“Why?”
He stopped the mixer, then came over to her and once again leaned in close. “I dare you… to come to New York with me.”
Marinette was frozen. She blinked her eyes several times, and her tongue felt glued to the roof of her mouth.
Eventually, she found the words to say. “I’m sorry, repeat that?”
 12. Seatmates
It had been a month since Adrien had gotten the pleasure of surprising Marinette with a trip to New York.
After Marinette had asked him for his stories of the fashion world, Adrien had been so worried that she’d walked away with the determination to surrender her former dreams, and that made him feel too guilty to handle. So, breaking the unspoken vote of confidence she’d placed in him, he’d talked to her parents.
He hadn’t divulged everything, just the bare essentials necessary to get them to understand. Mr. Dupain had seemed surprised, but the information didn’t seem to have caught Mrs. Cheng off guard. It made more sense when she admitted she’d been suspecting something was up for a while, and this had confirmed it.
So Adrien had told them what he wanted to do: give Marinette’s dreams one last encouraging push by taking her to fashion week. His original plan had been for it to be Paris’ fashion week, but he’d been keeping tabs on Chloe and her whereabouts as well as taking into account that Marinette had been barred from several Parisian schools. If she wanted school to be a reality, she wouldn’t be in Paris, meaning it might be beneficial to take her outside the country. It would give her the chance her to explore and stretch her wings in a way staying inside France would not allow.
With her parents’ blessings on the idea, Adrien had started planning. And then had come the fun part of surprising her with it.
The roller-coaster of emotions she’d gone on after his dare had been a joy to watch. Disbelief to doubt to shock to excitement. She’d been so expressive that Adrien had found himself falling even harder. And when she’d agreed to let him take her to New York—which took no small amount of convincing—he’d been over the moon.
However, there was one thing about that day he couldn’t forget. Mostly because it hung of his head. Marinette had only remembered by the end of her shift that she still had one last round of truth or dare.
“Dare,” he’d answered. It was only fair.
She’d seemed relieved almost at that. And with her words, he understood why. “I dare you to let me save my dare for another time.”
After recalling the way she’d tortured him by cashing in her last favor by making him clean out the deep, dark crannies of the freezer and storage room, he had been hesitant about this one. Even if she had repaid him for that torture with the best dinner he’d eaten in months, he still couldn’t forget the devious sparkles in her eyes as she cashed in that favor. It made him worried for just what kind of dare she would make him do.
Hopefully it wouldn’t be too bad. After all, he was taking her to New York. She wouldn’t be cruel, would she?
Quietly, he scoffed. No, this was Marinette. She could be downright devious if she wanted to and make him think he was okay with it.
A weight on his shoulder called him out of his reverie. They’d been watching a new anime he’d downloaded on his computer for the plane ride. When they started, Marinette had seemed intent on watching it, but at the moment, it seemed his seatmate was too tired to keep it up.
“Hey,” he whispered, gently shaking his shoulder.
She took an earbud out but didn’t look up. “Hmm?”
“Do you want to just watch this later and sleep now?”
“Mm-hmm.”
“Okay.” He paused the anime, then shut his computer screen.
Marinette shifted just enough to take out her earbuds, but then she was back to leaning against his shoulder. “This okay?” she asked, her groggy voice barely above a whisper.
“It’s fine,” he assured even though his heart protested. It was a little too okay with him. “Get some sleep.”
With one last hum, Marinette fully settled against his side, and within a little while, she was out.
Adrien sighed, leaning his head against Marinette’s.
“Truth or dare?” she asked, voice quiet.
“Truth,” he answered, going back to the mixer to turn it off.
“How many secrets would you say you’re hiding from me right now?”
He let his eyes drift closed at the memory. If only he had the courage to go for it. But this was the girl he considered to be his closest friend, and he wasn’t ready to take that plunge quite yet.
I really like you.
If she didn’t feel the same, he was sure they could go back to almost normal in time, but there would always be that rift.
A small, bitter smile suddenly crossed his lips. Here he was, trying to encourage her to follow her dreams or at least press forward to take a chance, and he was too much a coward to take his own advice.
What a hypocrite.

Tumblr media
You couldn’t remember the last time you were this nervous. Sweaty palms, butterflies in your stomach kind of nervous. You did your best to relax your face and smile in the mirror while you put the finishing touches of your makeup on, but it didn’t take long for the crease between your eyebrows to return with a matching pout.
“You gotta chill out, girl,” Kacey reminds you from her spot on your bed, where she sits watching you get ready.
“I know,” you sigh.
You lean back in your chair to examine your final look. If you were being honest, you actually looked really good. You kept your hair down, your face framed by the pieces closest to your hairline. Your makeup looked pretty as well, and you’re shocked you were able to steady your hand enough to not get your mascara on your eyelids, but you somehow pulled it off. You were even a fan of your outfit. The white flare jeans accentuated your body, the sheer pink long sleeve shirt on your top popping more from your glowing skin.
You stood and turned to Kacey, raising your brow and holding your hands out as if you were presenting yourself. “How do I look?”
She looks up from her phone, her mouth falling open as she finally sees the completed look.
“Y/N…”
You watch her eyes go from your face all the way down, slowly coming back up to meet your gaze again. You give her a sheepish smile.
“I’m sad I’m not the one going on a date with you.”
You laugh, shaking your head as you loosen up a bit. “Yeah, whatever.”
“No, I’m serious,” she defends herself, standing up to follow you out of your room and into the living room once you grab your shoes. “You literally look stunning. He’s gonna cum on sight.”
Your jaw drops as a breathy chuckle leaves your body. You turn to face her, walking backwards until you’re almost up against the front door. “He better not, I’m fucking hungry.”
Before Kacey can respond, your phone is buzzing. You both give each other a look, before you lift it to see a text from Grayson waiting for you.
here
You swallow thickly, turning your phone off and putting the shoes down beside your feet. “It’s go time.”
Kacey nods, kneeling down to help secure your heels on your feet. “You’re gonna have a great time. It’s Grayson Dolan bringing you to eat yummy ass food. There’s literally nothing that could go wrong, not with everything you’ve already been through together. You guys both deserve this, it’s gonna be a night to remember. This might even be classified as the best first date in history.” She stands when she finishes her pep talk, brushing her thighs off before clapping her hands with a wide smile. “Ready?”
“No,” you whine, getting your bag and double checking you have everything. “My heart won’t fucking calm down.”
She grabs your arms so that you’re forced to look at her. “You have everything you need. There’s nothing else you have to do right now besides walk out that door and enjoy a fabulous evening with your mans. Three deep breaths,” she prompts, and you follow her lead. She takes in three big deep breaths, and you let the air fill up your lungs as you watch her chest rise. You release each breath along with her, some of the tension finally leaving your body. It helps a bit, and you can feel the blood stop pumping through your ears so loudly.
You give her a small smile. “You’re right. Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow?”
She nods. “E and I are gonna have a beach day, I’ll text you when we head out for you guys to join if you want.”
You bite your lip, the thought of you and Grayson going to hang out with them stirring up even more nerves inside of you. Hell, this was the first time you guys would be out in public together. Alone. On an actual date, as two people who like each other. Doing normal couple things with other couples? Would he want that?
“Oh my god, shut your brain off for, like, three seconds and just fucking go down there before he thinks you’re not going at all.” She reaches around you, opening the door while giving you a gentle shove so that you’re out in the hallway.
You pout, slowly starting to walk away. “Am I gonna be okay?”
“You’re gonna be way more than okay,” she reassures before waving and stepping back into the apartment.
You sigh, realizing she’s right. You’d survive the night no matter what it brought. You always survived.
When you walked outside, your eyes immediately found the bright blue porsche. He was standing by the hood, arms crossed over his chest as his neck strained back to look up at the sky. You could see his adams apple bob when he swallowed.
His arms were bulging out of the tight black t shirt on his upper body, his silver chain hanging against his defined chest. A Louis Vuitton belt hugged his hips, holding the green pants to his lower half. They were cropped, allowing for you to see the tattoos that littered his ankle and lower calf, his air force ones kicking the pavement below his feet.
He snaps out of his daze when he hears you walking towards him, and when he finally lands his eyes on you it feels like his breath has been snatched away from him. He takes in every inch of you, trying to memorize everything he’s seeing just in case you disappear.
“Hey,” you practically whisper, lifting a hand to wave at him as you get a bit closer.
The sound of your voice pulls his gaze back to your face, and he finally can get a quick breath in as his huge smile spreads across his face. “Hey.”
He relaxes a bit in your presence, his arms first falling to his sides as you stand in front of him now, one hand gripping the handle of your bag while the other clenches and releases in a fist as you try and keep it together.
“Hey,” he says again, this time a bit louder and more present. He stands up straight, his hands now reaching out to hold your elbows. “Hey.”
You giggle, taking a step closer so that there’s only about an inch of space between your bodies. You tilt your head to look up at him, and his bright smile is quickly able to make your own lips turn up wider.
“That all you’ve gotta say to me?”
He just continues to smile at you, shaking his head a bit as he pulls you against his chest. You easily give in, wrapping your arms around his middle and letting his warmth envelope you despite the already relatively high temperature. You didn’t mind, though.
“Until I can form a fucking sentence to tell you how amazing you look, yeah.”
You giggle against his chest as your cheeks blush from the compliment. You go to release him, but he keeps you tight in his grasp without any room for you to move.
“Gray,” you mumble, grabbing his sides to try and get him to move away from you.
“Just a few more seconds.”
You sigh dramatically, but the butterflies go crazy in your stomach at the thought of him not wanting to let go so soon. It made you wonder if he thought about being close to you when you weren’t together as much as you did.
After a few more moments you feel his grip loosen on you, one of his hands coming to grab your own so he can guide you to the passenger side of the car.
“So are you gonna finally tell me where we’re going?”
He opens the door for you, guiding you around so you can start to get in. The smile on his face widens at your question.
“Nope.”
You roll your eyes, settling into the seat as you buckle. He closes the door and quickly makes his way to the driver’s side. He slides in rather smoothly for such a big guy getting into a small car.
“Are you at least going to tell me what type of food it is? Or if I’m underdressed?”
He chuckles, shaking his head as he starts the car. “It’s good food, and you’re dressed just fine. Perfectly, even. Stunning. Really fucking pretty if I’m being honest.”
“Oh god,” you huff, resting your chin in your hand while your elbow finds leverage on the center console as Grayson starts driving. You do your best to keep your smile at bay, but you can’t completely wipe it from your face.
“What?” He asks, looking over at you for a second before he puts his eyes back on the road.
“You’re gonna being cheesy as fuck tonight, aren’t you?”
A pout forms on his lips as he reaches his arm out to grab your knee. His fingers press into the material of your pants as he rubs his thumb side to side. You can’t help but look down at his movements, the warmth of his palm spreading through you like wildfire.
“Course I’m gonna be cheesy tonight. It’s the first time I get to take you out. Plus, no matter how much of an act you put on, I know you love it too.”
You take in a big breath as your cheeks flush again, your eyes still stuck on his fingers. You know he’s right, and you don’t feel like fighting it, either. You deserved a night together just to enjoy being with one another.
You only look up again when you hear Grayson groan in frustration. You’re met with a bunch of brake lights and soon you feel the car come to a complete stop in the middle of the highway.
“Fuck,” he mumbles as he grips your leg a bit harder.
“Let me check how bad it is,” you offer as you pick your phone up from your lap. You open up maps only to find a red line stretching for miles on the current stretch of highway you and Grayson were stuck on. “How far are we going on here?”
“I don’t know. Ten miles?”
You nod, biting your lip. The red line definitely stretches beyond the ten miles you need to go.
“How far does it say it’ll be?”
“I can’t be sure, but it looks like it’s pretty backed up for a while.”
“Like past ten miles?”
You nod, reaching over to show him your phone. He looks at the map and his face falls when he sees how bad it is.
“Fucking LA man. Shit.”
You turn your phone off, putting it back in your lap as you sigh. “It’s okay, we’ve still got, like forty minutes until our-”
Before you can finish your sentence, your back is being pressed into the leather seat as Grayson floors it off the exit ramp.
“Grayson!” You grip his wrist, his hand still holding on tight to you as he maneuvers off the highway.
“We’re taking back roads.”
“Do you even know where we are?”
“I’ve lived in LA since I was fucking 15, Y/N. I learned to drive here. I know where the fuck I am and where to go.”
You nod, not letting going of his wrist as you watch him continue to drive through the streets now. He was tense, you could tell. His shoulders were raised, his jaw tight and you swear could see the vein on the side of his neck pulse every few seconds.
You decide to turn the volume of his music up after you resituate in the seat, more comfortable with the speed he’s driving even if he’s still a bit reactive. You force your fingers in between your thigh and his palm so that you can hold his hand. He responds quickly, his hand gripping yours tightly. You can feel the clamminess of his palm against yours, and you give him a reassuring squeeze.
The corners of his lips turn up at the feeling, and you watch his body physically relax a bit. He takes a breath in, leaning back as he gets more comfortable again.
Watching the world pass by you while you and Grayson sit in your own little bubble, music playing as you enjoy each other’s presence without any worries is a feeling you could get used to. You feel so calm, like you couldn’t want or need to be anywhere else other than in his passenger seat as he drives along, his thumb rubbing the back of your hand whenever you guys were at a stop light. You somehow simultaneously also feel electricity from where you’re touching, that feeling of new romance taking over what seems like the whole car. You hope he felt it too, the butterflies, because this was a feeling you never wanted to give up.
That doesn’t stop the anxiety that slowly creeps up inside of you the longer Grayson drives around. You’ve been in the car for an hour and a half, and as far as you could tell there were no nice restaurants in sight; hell, there were no restaurants at all.
“Gray?”
He grunts, keeping his eyes on the road.
“Are we close?”
At this point you could hear your stomach growling, even over the music. You didn’t care if you sounded like a kid, you would even settle for water. You just needed something in your stomach.
He bites his lips, taking in your surroundings as he continues to coast along the road. After about a minute of watching him do that, you break.
“You have no fucking clue where we are right now.”
“Yes I do.”
“Then how much longer?”
He taps his fingers against the wheel as he reads the road sign, finally letting out a defeated sigh.
“Yeah I have no idea where we are.”
You clench your jaw in temporary frustration, reminding yourself that it’s the hunger that wants to be mad, not you. “Can you tell me what the restaurant’s called so I can look up directions?”
He reluctantly gives you the name, pulling over on the side of the road to wait for your instruction.
You suck in a breath when you see how far you are from the restaurant.
“Two hours.”
“We’re two fucking hours away?” You can hear the genuine frustration in his voice as he lets go of your hand to throw his arms up in anger before letting his face hide in his palms. He lets out a muffled, “shit,” while he shakes his head slowly.
Your hand feels cold without his to hold onto. Between that and watching him slowly devolve, you feel your heart sadden for the first time since he walked into the bathroom a few days ago. “I’m sorry,” he mumbles, his face still in his hands.
“Hey.” You reach over to rub his back. “It’s okay. We can just go somewhere else.”
He groans as he finally lifts his head to look at you, his shoulders still slumped forwards. “No we can’t. It was supposed to be special, that restaurant is special. You deserve something special.”
Hearing the thought and effort he wanted to put into tonight for you made your heart swell. You couldn’t help the smile that spread across your lips despite his somber face.
“What?” He asks.
You shake your head, bringing your hand to his cheek so you can stroke the soft skin there. “You’re just really sweet.” His frown turns more neutral at that, but you can still see the disappointed clouding his eyes. “Plus, anything we do together is special. You could take me to a fucking dump and it would be special.”
This gets a small chuckle out of him, which prompts you to relax a bit. You were glad you could still get some type of positive reaction from him.
“Thought you didn’t want cheesy tonight.”
“Shut up,” you giggle, pushing his shoulder lightly.
His next movements are quick, and you have little time to react. He leans over and grabs your chin, pulling you closer to his face as his lips meet yours. The kiss is slow, and to your benefit, so that you can move your lips harmoniously with his as the hum of the engine and the melody of the music fade farther away as you get more and more into everything the kiss is making you feel.
All too soon, though, he’s pulling away, his face still staying close enough to yours that you feel his warm breath on your face as you slowly open your eyes. The frustration is gone from his gaze, replaced with something you’d never seen before. You weren’t sure what it was, but by the way he’s smiling you assume it’s a good thing.
“What was that for?” You whisper. You’re scared if you talk too loud that you’ll ruin the little universe Grayson has seemed to put you in.
He shakes his head bashfully as his thumb rubs against your jawline. “Just wanted a kiss.”
Your smile grows impossibly wider at the idea of you being able to kiss Grayson whenever you wanted. You didn’t just have to dream about it late at night, or act like you hated it every time. There didn’t have to be a reason why. And he’d want to do the same to you.
“Look up restaurants nearby.”
You hadn’t even noticed he had situated himself back into the driver's seat as you had zoned out. He still had a slight smirk on his lips while he got the car back on the road.
You lean back against your own seat, taking your phone out and searching on google for literally anything close to you guys that served food.
“There’s a place called BJ’s five minutes away. Looks a little sketch in terms of vegan food, though.”
He laughs, looking over at you. “Give me directions.”
He manages to pull up in front of the small building labeled BJ’s Diner not long after that. The ‘r’ on the sign is out, the outside looking a little run down. It looks like it was in its prime 50 years ago.
“Ready to eat at BJ’s?” He asks.
You laugh, unbuckling your seatbelt. “Guess so.”
As you both get out of the car, you let your short moment of silence be a little prayer that the night isn’t totally ruined.
And when you see Grayson waiting for you, hand held out to take yours in order to walk inside together, you think your prayer has been heard.
Your hope for the night drops the second you walk through the door, though. It smells like old wood and grease, the yellowed tiles are chipped at various points on the floor, the musicians pictured on the wall all died before the 80’s, and there’s a beaten jukebox in the corner. A part of you feels like you literally walked through a time machine, but the other can’t stop seeing how much everything has aged. The servers all seemed to be older as well, all having gray hair and wrinkles adorning their skin.
“You guys can pick any spot you want,” one of the cute old ladies interrupts your spiraling fears as Grayson turns to look at you with a raised brow.
You start walking to the booth in the corner farthest from the three other people sitting around the place in hopes of some type of privacy. They were all there alone, sitting at their respect tables without a word to anyone else. The only sounds ringing through the place are the music playing and the sounds of food being cooked in the back behind the little window you could see through behind the bar.
You’re not sure you’ve ever actually been to a diner that’s been so old, just ones that try and recreate the vintage vibes. But as the laminate of the booth cracks beneath you while you slide in, you conclude these booths have been sat in for longer than you’d been alive.
“I feel a bit overdressed,” you mumble as you pick up a menu.
Grayson chuckles as he takes a look at his own menu. “That’s okay. You said we were gonna have a special night no matter what. And this is, uh...” he looks up and around inspecting your surroundings again.
“Let’s just stick with special. Sounds nicer.”
He nods in agreement as he begins to search the menu. As you look over your own, you realize there’s much he can eat here. You’re not surprised with how old the place seems, but that doesn’t stop the slight frown that makes its way onto your lips.
“What?”
You hum, barely acknowledging his question as you continue to search for literally anything vegan on the menu besides french fries.
His fingers are soon blocking your view of the worn words on the menu as he pushes it down to see your face. Only then do you make eye contact with him. His brows are furrowed in confusion, which brings your own look of misunderstanding to your own face.
“What’s wrong?” You ask.
“I don’t know, you tell me.”
“What do you mean?”
“You’ve got a pout on. There’s no pouting tonight. So what’s wrong?” His tone is light, almost as if he’s joking but you know he’s just trying to feel you out, understand what’s going on inside your head.
“There’s nothing vegan here,” you sigh as you pick the menu back up. “You can’t eat french fries for dinner.”
A warm smile spreads across Grayson’s face at your explanation as he watches you continue to look for something else he can have.
“Hey,” he interrupts you again, grabbing your menu and placing it alongside his at the end of the table. “Don’t worry about that. I’ll eat french fries for dinner if it means I still get to be out with you. It’ll make things more special.”
You giggle, nodding your head. “Special is definitely the word of the night.”
And that rang true the rest of your time in BJ’s. Between the busboy spilling water all over your pants making them semi see through, Grayson’s fries being cold (along with your burger), and being overcharged, it seemed like everything was going wrong.
But that didn’t stop you guys from laughing together the whole night. It almost made it impossible to believe you two were constantly at each other's throats for so long, never realizing that maybe your animosity had secretly come from the fear of falling for each other. You were grateful that fear was out in the open now, though, so that you could explore it together. Because now that you’ve had your taste of Grayson Dolan, you weren’t sure if you could ever give it up.
You guys made up for the shitshow of a dinner with your ride home. You blasted music, singing at the top of your lungs, not caring how bad you sounded. Your cheeks hurt from smiling all night, and you couldn’t help watching Grayson sing while he drove. He looked like he was glowing, you’d never seen him seem so genuinely happy and at peace.
When he finally pulled into a guest spot at your apartment he turned the music off while turning to look at you. You were both out of breath from the last song, and you could see a bit of sweat on his forehead from his intense singing.
“I never sing in front of people,” he admits.
“Me either.” You rest your elbow on the center console much like before, putting your chin in your hand as you smile at him.
“Think we could be a famous duet if we tried.”
You laugh, shaking your head. “I think people would pay to make us stop singing, actually.”
He laughs with you, letting go of the steering wheel as he turns to face you. You meet his eyes and find yourself trapped there in his gaze, both of you unable to look away from the other. There was just something so captivating about the way he would give you all his attention, his pupils almost completely blown out whenever they met yours. You could zone out looking into them for days, you’re sure.
“Gonna let me kiss you goodnight?” His soft voice carries through the car and pulls you from your thoughts.
You shrug. “I guess I should.”
He chuckles while leaning closer to you, his lips softly meeting yours. It’s sweet, much less intense than any other kiss you’ve shared and you think you can get used to the way his lips smoothly move against yours.
But before you let yourself fully indulge, his words actually hit you.
You pull back from him suddenly, and when you open your eyes you can see he’s a second behind you. When his finally open, he’s giving you a questioning look.
“You good?”
“Are you leaving?”
His brows only pull closer together at your question. “What?”
“You said a goodnight kiss. Are you not gonna come up?” You can feel the anxiety pooling in your stomach as you wonder if he doesn’t want to spend the night after being with you for so long.
“You never really struck me as someone who wants to fuck on a first date,” he chuckles, but soon stops when he notices you’re not so amused.
“Not with people I haven’t already fucked, no. I mean if you don’t want to that’s fine, I’ll just-” You grab your bag, opening the car door.
“Wait!”
You ignore his plea, stepping out of the car and shutting the door before you had a chance to look back at him.
“Y/N,” he calls out as he climbs out of his seat to follow you along the sidewalk. “Hey!”
His hand on your arm stops you, and you decide that you don’t have it in you to fight him. So you turn around while doing your best to keep your face neutral.
“I didn’t wanna push any boundaries you might have. I’m not gonna pressure you into having sex after a date just because we’ve fucked before. I’ve never felt anything for anyone like I do for you, and I don’t know what the rules are. I don’t wanna mess this up, even just tonight I’ve had such a good time and I-”
“So you weren’t sick of spending time with me?”
He looks almost offended by your question as soon as it leaves your lips. “What?”
You shrug. “I don’t know, we’ve never really spent that time with each other without fighting or fucking. I guess I thought you wanted a break or something.”
He shakes his head in disbelief. “No. I spent almost six months acting like I couldn’t be in the same room as you and I fucking beat myself up for that shit. I just assumed you wouldn’t wanna do that shit so soon.”
“And I just assumed you’d get annoyed with me after a while.”
“So then let’s stop assuming and get the fuck upstairs.”
You laugh at his sudden eagerness, relief starting to wash over you. You turn to start walking towards the entrance as you talk over your shoulder. “Gonna show me how special I really am?”
You hear the signature lock of the porsche followed by his loud footsteps as he does his best to catch up.
“Where’s Kacey?”
“Told her to spend the night at yours with Ethan.”
“Fuck.”
You giggle as you turn to walk backwards after opening the door, your hips swaying as you watch him take the entirety of you in.
“Special doesn’t even begin to do justice to what I’m about to do to you.”
You laugh as he charges towards you, squealing when he picks you up off the floor.
“Grayson! I can walk myself upstairs.” Your grip is tight on his shoulders as he keeps one hand under your thighs while the other presses the elevator button repeatedly.
“See how long that lasts.”
Your giggles fade as the implications of his words settle at the pit of your stomach. That’s when you knew he was really gonna make you feel special.
***
A month.
You and Grayson made it a month running around together, only seeing each other (and poor Ethan and Kacey). You were having the time of your life, honestly. You and Grayson got along really well now that you had your guards down more. You tried your best to appreciate that without the overwhelming guilt that took over when you reminded yourself of how you treated him before.
But things were getting complicated. When you hung out with your friends, they asked why you were suddenly so busy. You were able to pass it off as work at first, but after the first week they wondered what project could be so time consuming. It was getting much harder to lie.
You and Grayson also avoided going to any of the same things. You knew you wouldn’t be able to hold up the facade like before if you were in a room with him, and it would totally blow your cover.
That was getting difficult too, though. At this point you shared the same close friends, and you were both sad you were missing out on things.
So Grayson finally prompted you to come to something they were hosting at their house with your friends. It was a casual hang out with your typical dinner and night swim. Nothing intense, super normal.
That didn’t stop the nerves running through you as you walked into their backyard with Kacey, though.
“Everything’s gonna be fine,” she mumbles, giving your arm a squeeze before leading you to your group of friends. “Y/n!” Jas exclaims when she finally spots you. Kacey had quickly run off to Ethan, leaving you standing alone in the middle of the deck.
You give her a tight smile as you put your bag down, walking over to the edge of the pool she was hanging on to.
“Hey.”
She pouts, watching you get comfortable as you sit down beside her hands. “You okay?”
You nod, letting out the breath you hadn’t realized you were holding onto. “Yeah. Just work stress. You get it.”
She rolls her eyes, resting her head on her folded arms. “Sure. If work means boy, then I 100% get it.”
You scoff, shaking your head. “Why does everything have to be about boys all the time? Why can’t it be possible for an independent ass woman to have issues unrelated to men?”
“Oh it totally is,” she admits. “But I know your work stress. This is not work stress. You haven’t looked so troubled since you broke up with Ben.”
The bringing up of your last ex makes your face immediately scrunch up, like you have a bad taste in your mouth.
“Fuck that kid.”
“Now listen, you don’t have to tell me who’s causing you shit and taking up all your time. But you’re gonna have to break at some point if you keep him around. I mean, everyone’s getting boo’d up. Even Mila’s been shooting her shot,” she chuckles, her eyes going from your face to behind you.
You turn to see Mila standing next to a shirtless Grayson. He looks like he’s explaining the workout equipment to her. He’s clearly super into the conversation, and it’s even more clear Mila is into the way his face looks.
You’re not sure how you feel. You do your best to quell the immediate anger bubbling up inside of you because Mila has no idea you guys are together. But shouldn’t Gray be doing a better job at trying to stop her heart eyes?
“How long has that been a thing?” You ask as you keep your eyes on them.
“Only a few weeks. She was convinced Grayson was into you for literally, like,” she lifts her head to count on her fingers while she thinks. “Like three months or something. But the past few weeks you and him have just been radio silent so she’s taking her chance. Was that even a thing after Malibu or is he more of a hit it and quit it kinda guy?”
“I have to pee,” you mutter under your breath as you stand back up. You don’t even look back at Jas when she calls for you, keeping your eyes on the door. At this point Mila’s got her hand on Grayson’s bicep as he continues to ramble about who knows what, totally oblivious to her true intentions. Or, he’s into it and that’s why he hasn’t told her to stop.
Either way, you needed to get out. You knew being here would be hard, but you didn’t expect it to be like this. Maybe to have to throw some fake jabs, flip him off and figure out a way to stay after everyone left without people noticing, sure. But Mila trying to get with Grayson? That was not something you anticipated as one of your first hurdles.
Also the fact that this has been going on for weeks and Grayson’s said nothing? There’s no way he’s that stupid that he has no idea what she’s doing. Why wouldn’t he say anything?
Before you can reach the bathroom, you hear two voices behind you from the kitchen.
“Hey Y/N!” Mila’s now seemingly annoying voice rings through the house, causing you to turn around and face her and Grayson. He’s busying himself with getting some glasses of water as Mila motions for you to come closer. “I haven't seen you in, like, ten years!”
“Been busy.” You take a few hesitant steps closer to the pair. You watch Grayson’s eyes move to look at you a moment before he’s focused again on his task, totally silent.
“With what?” You can’t tell if it’s your anger that’s making everything about Mila almost unbearable, but her stupid smile isn’t sitting right with you.
“My boyfriend.”
Mila’s face turns from a smile to a look of confusion as Grayson pauses at the fridge.
“You have a boyfriend?”
“Mhm.” You nod, a bit more confident now. You make your way closer to the kitchen, closing the gap between the two of you. “Been busy fucking my new boyfriend.”
“I love that for you! What’s he like?”
At this point you’re not even looking at her. Grayson had turned around to watch the whole interaction happen with a raised brow. You watch him over her shoulder as you open your mouth to talk again.
“He’s tall, hot as shit, a bunch of tattoos, wears a chain, you know the type. A fucking dick when he wants to be but he’s nice to me most of the time,” you describe. By now Grayson’s smirking, his arms crossed as he realizes why you’re being the way you are: jealousy.
“That’s so good! You deserve it.” She pats your arm before turning to Grayson. He’s quick to go back to tending to the two cups he was grabbing before. “When do we get to meet him? Bet Grayson’s just dying to meet the guy who finally stole Y/N Y/L/N’s heart.” She sounds a bit bitter when she says it, but you can’t be bothered to care. She doesn’t know half of how Grayson feels about you.
He pauses again, slowly turning back to face the both of you. He looks between you and Mila, unsure of what to do.
You’d been the one who wanted to keep everything under wraps. It took you so long to finally admit how you felt about each other, and you wanted to appreciate the time you had alone before bringing everyone else into it. You loved your friends, but fuck were they all overly involved in everyone’s life.
“Bet he would.”
With that you leave, going back outside. Maybe a swim in the pool would help you cool off a bit.
The rest of the night goes relatively smoothly, everyone just enjoying each other seeing as it had been difficult to get everyone in the same place lately.
But holy shit were you ready to drop kick Mila.
She couldn’t be away from Grayson for more than five minutes. Of course your plan had been to not really talk to him to avoid any suspicion so it wasn’t like she was taking time away from you or anything, but she wouldn’t leave him alone.
“Has it been this bad for a while?” you whisper to Kacey. You were all sat in a circle, just talking after eating. Everyone was kind of having separate conversations meaning you would finally be able to get some fucking answers, even if it wasn’t from Grayson.
“She’s actually being pretty good tonight. When she’s drunk she literally is on top of the poor guy.”
You can’t help but look over at them now. She sat closely to him (she didn’t have much of a choice due to the fact that she weasled her way between him and Jas), just staring and listening as he spoke to Austin. He was leaning away from her, but every time he moved, she moved with him.
You could feel your anger bubbling up again, but you looked back at Kacey to calm yourself down a bit.
“Why didn’t anyone fucking tell me?” You do your best to keep your volume down. Ethan was on the other side of Kacey, so you didn't care if he heard but you had no interest in anyone else knowing what you guys were talking about. You weren’t the jealous type typically, but when you’re powerless it somehow has made the whole situation escalate quickly.
“I mean he’s so obviously not into it, we didn’t think it mattered?”
You scoff. “You and Gray have talked about it?”
The name of his brother makes Ethan turn his head as he tunes into the conversation.
“What?”
You cross your arms as you lean back in your chair, looking straight ahead now. You couldn’t look to your right because you didn't want to watch Mila drool over Grayson, but looking at Kacey would make you mad too.
“She’s mad we didn't tell her about the whole-” she looks around to see if anyone else is listening, lowering her voice significantly before she speaks again.  “Mila thing.”
“Why?”
You raise your brow at him. “You fucking knew too?”
“Y/N, literally everyone knows.”
“Not me!”
At this point you’ve caught almost everyone's attention. You and Kacey never fought, especially not in front of everyone. You were two peas in a pod. And not to say this was a fight, you were literally the only one who wasn’t speaking at a whisper. But you couldn’t help but feel betrayed by the both of them for not telling you. The three of them had decided what was best without even considering if you’d want a say.
You look around the table at all the eyes on you and bite your lip, sinking back into your chair and closing your cardigan on your body tighter.
“So tell us more about this boyfriend, Y/N,” Mila prompts as she laughs awkwardly to try and break the tension. Little did she know her bumping her shoulder against Grayson was only causing more tension.
Kacey gives you an eye, confused as to what Mila was talking about. She fit in with everyone else, though, because they all seemed a bit lost, too.
“A boy?” Jas asks, a smirk on her face.
“It’s not important,” you mutter. When you look at Grayson, you see a bit of hurt in his eyes.
“Why not?” Mila pushes.
“Come on Kace, you definitely know him. Is he hot?”
Kacey sputters, not really sure what to say.
“Oh my god he’s ugly!”
“That’s why you won’t tell us, you don’t want to have to show us pictures!”
“You’re, like, a totally ten Y/N. Definitely don’t need to be with an ugly dude.”
“He’s not fucking ugly!” You sit up, the frustration clear in your voice.
“So then why did Kacey-”
“She can’t call her boyfriend’s brother hot.”
Complete silence takes over the entire group as they look at you, and then Grayson. His eyes are a bit wide and totally locked on you.
You stand abruptly, the sound of the chair scraping against the concrete the only noise that echoes through the backyard. Mila’s stare is burning through you, but you don’t look anywhere but the door as you make your way towards it.
“What the fuck, guys?” Grayson asks as he stands up.
“Are you really her fucking boyfriend?” Mila scoffs, looking up at him.
“Holy shit, yes.”
He leaves as everyone watches him follow you. He doesn’t care that Ethan and Kacey are going to have to deal with the aftermath of that, he just needed to know if you were okay.
He goes through the house, going to his closed bathroom door and knocking.
“Holy shit, can I be left alone for three fucking seconds? What if I actually need to pee or-”
“It’s me.”
You pause as you feel the anxiety fall from your body quickly. You rush to open the door, the tears in your eyes threatening to fall.
“I’m so sorry.”
He gives you a confused look as he enters the bathroom, moving you back so that he has room to shut the door behind him. “Sorry?”
You nod. “I know we weren’t gonna tell people but then I saw Mila all over you and when I found out that’s been happening a while I don’t know what took over and then when everyone was trying to force Kacey to talk I didn’t know what to do so I just fucking told them even though we weren’t gonna tell them and we didn’t talk about that and we didn’t even ever talk about if I’m your girlfriend and you’re my boyfriend but now I said to everyone that you’re my boyfriend and I just-” You take in a big breath as you rub your eyes.
“Hey,” he mumbles, rubbing your arms. You let your hands fall and you’re happy to see he’s much less distraught than you. “Let’s just breathe for a second.”
You nod, following the slow breaths he takes in and out, letting the feeling of his hands on you ground you a bit. Once your breathing has evened out he grabs your hands.
“I’m sorry,” you mumble out again.
He shakes his head, a quiet chuckle leaving his mouth..
“Y/N, baby. Stop with the apologizing. The only reason we weren’t telling people is because we didn’t want them in our relationship. Not because I don’t want people knowing we’re together. We’ll deal with them, even if they’re annoying as shit,” he chuckles and you crack a small smile. “And in terms of you calling me your boyfriend, I told my mom I have a girlfriend. I thought we kinda just were that, and we didn’t have to talk about it.”
“Lisa knows I exist?”
“Yeah,” he nods.
You take in one more deep breath before pulling him into a hug. He wraps his arms tightly around your torso, keeping you close to his chest.
“Mila’s gonna be devastated,” you mutter against his chest.
The vibrations of his laughter ring through your ear as he drags his hands up and down your back.
“She already is.”
You lift your head to look at him. “When were you planning on telling me about that, by the way?”
You feel him tense against you, which causes you to pull away in order to look up at him.
“I, uh, I don’t know.”
You nod, letting going of him completely in order to turn and fix your face in the mirror mindlessly. “Why weren’t you going to tell me?”
“I never said I wasn’t.”
“But there was no plan to.”
“I guess not,” he sighs.
“Why not?” You turn back to him again, doing your best to keep your face serious. You weren’t sure how much you were willing to let him see of you being an absolute emotional mess tonight.
“Because,” he shrugs, folding his arms and rubbing his hands against his biceps. “We’ve been so good, Y/N. So fucking good. I thought that shit would somehow make things worse.”
“Not telling me at all definitely made it worse.” You can visibly see him swallow as his now panicked eyes search your face for any tell of how mad you are. “You’re not into her, right?”
He scoffs. “Dude, no. Even if we weren’t together, she’s annoying as fuck. But especially now that I have you?” He chuckles, grabbing your arms to pull you flush against him again. “There’s absolutely no way in hell I’d entertain that shit. Or anyone else. If someone tries to pull that shit again I’ll tell them my hot ass girlfriend will beat the shit out of them.”
“Oh jesus christ.” You roll your eyes, but you can’t help the small smile that works its way onto your lips. “I don’t hurt people.”
“They don’t have to know that.”
“You’re gonna give me a bad rep, Grayson Dolan,” you mumble, going up on your tippy toes to move your face closer to his as your hands grip his sides to keep your balance.
“I’m worth it, though,” he mutters through a smile before finally letting his lips meet yours.
***
“God, you’re like a lovesick puppy.”
You look up from your phone for the first time in an hour, the comment from Kacey coming from where she sits across your living room.
“How do you think you were when you and Ethan started dating?”
“No, this is different. You guys are going through the initial infatuation phase while already being in love. That’s, like, double trouble.” You turn your phone off completely at her assumption and sit up to look at her better.
“In love?”
She raises an expectant eyebrow as she watches you. “Do you not know you’re in love?”
You chuckle. “I think I’d know if I’m in love.”
“Oh my god,” she laughs, gripping the blanket across her lap as she folds over. “Oh- I can’t - you - Y/N, come on,” she huffs out, continuing to laugh as she shakes her head. “You guys are both so fucking in love with each other. You were more in love with Grayson before you even started dating than you ever loved Ben.”
“Did I ever truly love Ben or did I just like the attention?”
“Come on, Y/N. This is not the time to try and reflect on how healthy your feelings were. I’m telling you you’re fucking in love.”
You scoff, throwing your hands up. “How do you know I’m in love if I don’t even know it.”
She rolls her eyes. “You know it, just like you always knew deep down the only reason you acted like you hated Grayson was because of how much you liked him. It’s your defense mechanism to not let people in.” You bite your lip as you consider her words.
Kacey called it your sixth sense. Whatever you wanna call it, your gut was reliable. From the second you met someone you could tell what type of role they would play in your life. You just liked to say you were good at reading people.
But you pushed that down most of the time. Because no matter how bad the person was, they always stuck around to teach you some overarching life lesson. So you would let life happen naturally, doing your best to ignore your intuitions.
And maybe when Kacey had first told you about her and Ethan you could tell he was gonna be around a long time. That was a good sign, a much better sign than any bad feelings. It was only when she would tell the occasional story about Grayson that your gut went whack.
So you avoided them like the plague because no one had made you have any type of intuition just from secondhand stories before. You’d never even met the guy in person before. But you couldn’t control the feeling you got when you talked about him or saw pictures of him or Kacey made you watch their videos.
Maybe your hatred for them was your way of trying to control a situation you really had no control over.
And you’re totally aware, deep deep down that Kacey is totally right on all accounts. You just weren’t ready to confront those feelings today.
“Earth to Y/N?” A piece of popcorn hits you in the face and brings you back to reality.
“What if I’m just infatuated with him and only love the idea of being with a guy I feel like is unattainable?”
Kacey deadpans.
“Okay fine maybe I love him a tiny bit.”
“Oh honey, it’s a lot a bit. But that means we get to be sister-in-laws one day!” She gets up and squeals as she dances around.
“Dude chill, I’m not gonna tell him. We’ve been together for literally three months! And-”
“You’ve been in love for literally so much longer but keep going.”
You roll your eyes but continue your original thought. “First, he would have to love me back, and-”
“He’s been in love with you since before you even met but continue.”
You give her a serious look and she sighs, calming down a bit as she moves to sit with you on the couch.
“We are literally so early on in this relationship. And in life! Who says I even want to get married, or if he does-”
“He totally does.”
“Kacey I will literally strangle you.”
“I’m sorry!” She pouts as she grabs your hands. “I’m just happy for you. You deserve it, the happiness and all of that. I promise I won’t joke about marriage for a while, but let yourself be happy that you’re in love with someone who also loves and cherishes you. He literally is head over heels for you. Like, doesn’t shut up about you ever kinda love.”
That news should make you feel good. Secure, even.
But instead it makes you even more anxious. Because the further you become invested in each other, the more you have to lose. And you’re not sure if you have it in you to lose him.
“You’re spiraling. Oh god why are you spiraling?”
You turn and lean over so that you’re practically laying on top of Kacey at this point. She wraps her arms around you as you try to quell the rising panic.
“It’s gonna hurt so bad when it ends.”
You can feel her tense up for a moment before she starts rubbing your back.
“What makes you say it’s gonna end?” “All good things end, K. At least in my world.”
“Well, Grayson’s better than good. He’s amazing. What’s your gut say?”
You shrug. “For the first time, I actually can’t tell.”
***
It seemed that the harder you pushed your love for Grayson down, the more prominent it became. It was harder to breathe the minute you would see him, but as soon as he was touching you in any way, all of your anxieties flew out the window. No one had simultaneously made you feel so alive and electric, yet so relaxed and calm at the same time. Loving Grayson was fun and easy.
And that made you terrified.
You know Grayson knows something is up, your poker face is shit. But you can’t help but get in your head every time you’re around him. You hear Kacey’s voice telling you to just be honest with how you feel, but your fear of fucking everything up shut that idea down fast.
That didn’t change the distance growing between the two of you, though. Going from seeing each other everyday to a few times a week, picking up your phone every time there was a lull in the conversation rather than asking about something else or just staring at each other until you started laughing. Things were changing quickly.
“Can we talk?”
Another change.
You’d never heard Grayson so serious before, or so quiet and timid. He almost sounded like a wounded animal, calling out its last cry for help.
You nod as you sit up on the couch to make room for him. He walks over to you, sitting sideways on the cushions so that he was facing you directly. His arm rests on the back of the cushion, his fingers against your shoulder prompting you to turn and face him as well. You oblige, sitting criss cross and tucking your feet underneath you as you played with the fringe of the pillow in your lap.
“I, uh, I don’t really...I just - fuck,” he covers his face with his palms, already frustrated with the way he can’t seem to verbalize his thoughts.
His anxiety makes your own anxiety creep up from within you as your chest tightens and your ears start to ring.
“Are you breaking up with me?”
You didn’t intend to sound so fragile, but at this point you had little control over anything. You were gripping the pillow to your chest so hard you felt like you could rip it in half.
His head whips up so that his eyes can meet your sad ones. “No. Shit - ” he shakes his head as he squeezes his eyes shut. “I feel like you’re gonna break up with me.”
“What?” You can’t help the laughter that starts to bubble up and out of your mouth as you lean forward a bit. “Are you serious?”
“I don’t know! You’ve been - how do I… different. Distant.”
You take in a breath, your lips pulling together as you watch the way his eyes almost turn down.
“I’m sorry.”
“No,” he shakes his head. “I don’t wanna talk about it to make you feel like you have to apologize for something. I just need to know what’s going on, why you’re less...interested.”
It feels like a knife is being pushed into your chest the minute he finishes his thought. Sure, you’d been a bit distant because of your internal battle that seemed never ending, but you’d never intended to make him feel like you were less into him. Hell, the whole issue is that you’re too into him.
“Gray,” you shake your head, loosening your grip on the pillow and moving to grab one of his hands. He lets you hold it, but doesn’t give you the reassuring pressure of squeezing you back that he always does. “Grayson,” you say more seriously so that his eyes focus on yours. “That’s not what’s happening. I…”
He raises a brow at you expectantly, but you just sigh and let your head fall back on your shoulders. You think if you look up that maybe the tears gathering along your waterline won’t fall down your cheeks.
“Y/N.”
“Hm?” You hum, now closing your eyes to try and trap the tears there.
“What is happening?”
You bite your lip as you shake your head, slowly lowering it again and opening your eyes. As soon as you do so the tears you tried so hard to prevent cloud your vision and slowly stream down your cheeks.
It breaks Grayson’s heart to see you so conflicted and emotional, even if he doesn’t know why. He gives your hand the squeeze you’d been waiting for.
That action is what pushes you over the edge, and you begin to cry. You fold forward over the pillow as your free hand comes to cover your eyes. You let it all out, the stress, the anxiety, the fear, through every shaking sob that leaves your body. Grayson sits there watching, never letting go of your hand.
You guys stay like that until you’re finally able to take in a full breath. His thumb rubs gently over the skin of the back of your hand as you wipe your eyes with your free palm.
“I’m sorry,” you sniffle.
“No,” he mumbles out quietly, his voice a bit hoarse. When you lift your head, you see the tears lining his eyes. “You don’t have to apologize.”
“I do though.” You take in one more big breath before squaring off your shoulders as you prepare to tell him the truth. “It’s my fault you’re sad, and you’ve literally done nothing wrong. You’ve been doing everything right, actually,” you admit. “I’ve been acting all weird and shit because I…” He raises his brows as he waits for you to finish your sentence. You sigh, preparing to say the words that ran through your mind every time you looked at him.
“I love you.”
For some reason, despite your voice being muffled from the hoarseness of your throat, those words seem to echo through the whole room, the universe, even. It’s the only thing you can hear reverberating off the walls because Grayson stopped breathing the minute they left your mouth. And the quieter the echoes get, the more room there is for anxiety to grow inside of you.
Thankfully he doesn’t leave you hanging too long, and as he opens his mouth you can’t decide if you’re grateful he’s able to collect his thoughts so fast or terrified of the rejection you’ve been anticipating since your conversation with Kacey.
“Holy shit.”
Holy shit?
“Holy fucking shit.” He starts laughing loudly, the words repeatedly falling from his mouth through each borderline scream that now replaces the silence in the room. His free hand comes to his chest as he tries to catch his breath, and you watch him in a mix of amusement and horror, completely unsure of what to do.
“Grayson?”
That seems to get his attention, and he’s able to quiet himself a bit. But instead of trying to talk like you expect, he lets go of your hand to bring both of his palms to your cheeks. Before you can comprehend what he’s doing your noses are bumping against one another as he brings his lips to yours. You can barely even call it a kiss because you can feel the way his lips are still turned into a smile as he continues to chuckle into your mouth. He does his best, though, giving you a few quick kisses before he pulls away again with his stupid grin still spread across his face.
“That’s the best god damn thing to ever come out of your mouth.”
You let out a breathy chuckle of relief, still not totally sure what’s happening but just happy he’s not running for the hills.
“We’re getting fucking BJ’s tonight,” he declares while standing, rushing around to find his keys. You sit there still in shock, not sure what the fuck happened and still trying to process his reaction. While he slips his shoes on, he pauses when he notices you still completely unmoved on the couch. “Are you not hungry? It’s our spot, you always want BJ’s.”
“No, I just…” you shake your head, standing from the couch much slower than he did. “Is this a good thing?”
He looks at you confused. “Is what a good thing?”
“That I love you.”
“Baby.” He practically jogs over to you. “It’s the best thing. Can’t top it, honestly. Well, unless you tell me you’re pregnant, then-”
“Hold up.” You bring your hand up to stop him in his tracks. “No to me being pregnant anytime soon you psycho.” He rolls his eyes but he lets you continue as he rests his hands on your hips. “But does that mean…”
As soon as he connects the dots of your unspoken question, he almost appears to physically melt in front of you.
“Of course.” He leans in, leaving kisses along your cheeks, going up to your forehead and ending at the tip of your nose before brushing his lips over yours. “With my whole heart, I love you too.”

Wasn’t spending Christmas Eve with your friends supposed to be special?
Tumblr media
.’*/ (ㅇㅅㅇ❀)\*’..’*/ (ㅇㅅㅇ❀)\*’.
Pairing: Soobin x Reader (female)
Genre 4 cups of fluff ! And perhaps a cup of angst in there too !
Warnings: Jealousy, a toxic friend who does not care about your feelings, unedited towards the end hehe
(Awe, it’s been quite a while since I wrote for Soobders !! Wanted to do a cute thing for a confession, though it turned out a bit angsty with the jealousy :// but i promise the end is so so cute !! Girlie here snapped on this one, i hope you can see the improvement~~ The fact that I had to do research on this is quite... something.)
.’*/ (ㅇㅅㅇ❀)\*’..’*/ (ㅇㅅㅇ❀)\*’.
1. He steals glances at you.
Wasn’t spending Christmas Eve with your friends supposed to be special? Wasn’t it supposed to be warm and all with interesting gifts and sugary sweet smiles decorating the room? Yeonjun sincerely promised that upon inviting you that this specific one wouldn’t flop unlike the last where you felt the need to go. As of this Christmas Eve dinner with all of your friends, it simply didn’t feel like it. If any other feeling than emptiness, the strong monster of envy rattled against your ribs as your eyes dart to your hidden phone underneath the table.
Fingers swiping on one video, you come into contact with a cheesy title, “7 signs your crush likes you.” The creature of curiosity pulled strings in your head, and you clicked the video with a small grin painted on your lips. Memories of being a middle schooler flooded back into your head that you couldn’t help but smile because of it. The one that you decided to watch reminded you of the good old days where you’d play mash with Yeonjun and Soobin. They’d always believe  they’d get together with their crush in the future as stated on the paper- and you couldn’t lie though; they were such adorable students back then before high school made them grow up with deep voices and long legs for nothing. Nostalgia was really one hell of a drug.
You were sadly snapped out of your trance when said former boy tugged on the sleeve of your stylish red coat.
“Hey, look,” Yeonjun murmured towards you. You glanced to what he was saying, turning your head over to the direction where he was looking at. When your eyes were met with Soobin’s, you sighed out a breath of relief. Thank gosh he made it. Gratefulness poured out of you as soon as your eyes dawned upon him.
Ah wait a second, Soobin really was here! Finally, you were able to wish him a few seasons greetings! Slowly getting up, you were planning to run up and throw him into one of your tight embraces until Yeonjun dragged you back down by the coat. You were going to yell at him to let you go since that boy can choose to be annoying as heck, but he begged you to stay with him. The needy glint in his eye told you to sit back down. Confusion washed over you in waves, yet once you looked at what he was gazing at, you needed to thank him for saving you to a close mistake.
Your delusions of being with that boy were crushed when you saw a chic girl linger behind him, holding his hand with a luminous ring on her index finger. Yeonjun’s breath hitched in his throat upon seeing her, and you felt sick to your stomach. She was the perfect embodiment of what people called Heather- a pretty smile and a charming aura whichever place she entered. Insecurities you tried your best to conceal inside rose back up again, and you felt the need to throw them up on the empty plate before you. Self doubt like these were the worst, especially when it could play a key role in losing the love of your life.
With that being said, it was safe to say that you hated her already.
It’s just... ugh, that girl gifted you with a weird gut feeling as if you’ve seen her before. Morals and views reminding you not to became a greedy monster, you knew you couldn’t hate her without evidence that she was a terrible person, but seriously, what else could that suffocating feeling be? Why did she seem so familiar to you with that long, platinum blonde hair dancing whenever she swayed and deep, indigo eyes who could capture about anybody there?
Platinum blonde hair... deep, indigo eyes.... a pretty face-
Wait a minute... isn’t she your old best friend from sophomore year?!
As if on cue, you watch as Soobin’s hands trail to the back of the same girl, feeling the world you imagined with your unrequited love to crash down on your weak shoulders, harshly and indefinitely.
A blaring advertisement pops up from your phone, warning you that what you were watching made a grand finish. A soft grunt of frustration left your lips. This night was going to be the worst one yet, you felt it resonate in your bones. And the endearing way he chuckles at whatever she says is enough. The video is stupid; you already have enough information to know that he doesn’t like you.
2. He flirts with other girls but when you aren’t around, he immediately stops.
The night was going... so-so.
At first, you planned to dip and make it up to Yeonjun later, but something in your heart urged you in place whenever you stole a glance at Soobin. Maybe it was the way he sent reassuring looks towards your direction, telling you that he’ll be right there later. Maybe it was the way his doe eyes twinkled if you chose to join in the conversation. Maybe it was how you knew deep down inside that no other girl could compare to you. You felt selfish because of these burdening feelings. It was as if fate was making fun of you, mocking you for falling for Soobin. You watched your old friend and Soobin flirt all dinner, so the last thing you wanted to do was eat.
Your attention instantly snaps to the other side of the table where your friend is grabbing a keen knife. Soobin offered to give his to you since there were none left in sight- perhaps a mistake from the waiter, but you declined with a tense jaw from gritting your teeth for too long. The food had already arrived, although you barely noticed due to the envy. Yeonjun ordered fancy steaks for all of you, and guilt seemed to swallow you up from how much you were visibly hesitant to dive into what the others were eating.
A strange, constrained grunt from your old friend snaps you from out of your thought bubbles. You hurriedly glanced in her direction, surely not disappointed at what she was pulling. You swore you almost burst into laughter at what foolery she was showing. Who knew someone could be this- this stupid?! No matter how much she tried, she couldn’t cut through the steak with the knife given to her, causing her a lot of embarrassment. The tips of her ears turned tomato red as she daintily pressed through the meat with all of her might.
Well, wasn’t this certainly a sight to see.
Unknowingly, the corners of your lips curl up into a smirk. Did she know how much of a fool she looked right now? She couldn’t be that stupid, you remembered how smart she called herself back in high school. What’s wrong with her that she couldn’t even cut a measly steak?
...oh my goodness, what’s wrong with you? Your hand flew up to slap yourself in the forehead, but fortunately no one saw. You were crazy, absolutely crazy. Did you deem yourself as a horrible person for thinking about their downfall? ...yes, but it doesn’t matter!
Soobin saw how much trouble she was going through and like a good person, smiled and lent a helping hand. Literally.
He gently placed his hand on top of theirs, guiding the knife so that it could pierce through the meat. She giggled at his kind efforts, having the audacity to move much closer to him by shuffling her chair. You covered your mouth with your hand so that you wouldn’t audibly gasp. Both you and Yeonjun share a knowing look towards each other after that, eyebrows furrowed and all.
Looking back down at your plate, you forced yourself to eat through the situation. But you weren’t able to at all. It seemed the repulsion at how flirty and good looking both of them were made your stomach do flips. Suddenly, the steak on your plate looked disgusting.
In no time, it seemed that all of the appetite you built up earlier somehow disappeared into thin air. You no longer felt like eating whenever your eyes took a look at that new cute “couple” over there. They could’ve been dating for a while now, and you had no clue, like you always did. It just wasn’t your business. You swam a little bit more into your memories with her. She knew you liked Soobin from long ago, and she still did this? Guess who has no intention to get in new touch with an old friend after this “warm, loving dinner” as stated from Yeonjun’s invitation.
Drawing a heavy sigh from your lips once more, your eyes steadily dart to the food on your plate again. In response, your stomach churned as if you were riding a heightened ferris wheel. The feeling of fear penetrated your throat, pulling out a lump you couldn’t control. You had no clue how you were going to finish so much of this Christmas dinner that you sincerely desired to throw up.
3. He gets protective whenever someone he doesn’t like comes near you.
“Hey, you good, Y/N? You’re basically picking at your plate and not eating any of it,” Yeonjun whispers over to you. You look up from the abandoned green veggies on your plate and plaster on a smile for him. Obviously he would be able to tell right away since he was one of your best friends, but that’s what you wanted him to see. Good thing you were close to him so that nobody would be able to hear what you were saying.
With a shrug of your shoulders you inch closer to him, whispering in his ear as well, “yes, I’m clearly doing fine here. It’s not like jealousy is literally eating me alive because he has a crush on my best friend who knows I like him.”
Yeonjun chuckled a little bit at this before punching your shoulder. “Cheer up, bun! I promise it’ll all be alright in the end. After all, I am one of Soobin’s friends who knows everything about him~~” You only smiled at his supposedly sweet gesture. His words were of course comforting, but it did as little as it could to ease your heart.
Placing your head on his shoulder with a timid frown on your face, you murmured a quick thank you to him. One way or another, you were going to have to pay back your debt to him even if he got you all red in the face. “Yeah, you definitely are, bun. You definitely are.”
Little did you know that Soobin was frowning at how you and Yeonjun suddenly went all buddy-buddy with each other before stuffing a few more pieces of bread into his mouth.
4. He gives you a nickname.
From the corner of your eye, you see Soobin shoot you a worried look. His lips are pursed together into a straight line which only makes you roll your eyes. So he was acting like he cared about you after ignoring you for a rat, huh...
“I can see that you’re not eating, buttercup? Is there something that’s bothering you... on Christmas Eve?” That boy did not just- the word buttercup was really not the word you wanted to fall out of his lips right now. He could’ve called you whatever, heck even your name although it wasn’t a serious situation. Buttercup was a cute nickname he gave to you when you first became friends. You tried to convince yourself that you absolutely hated what he called you, but the quick pace of your heart begged to differ.
Choi Soobin is not the boy you love. Choi Soobin is only your best friend! Choi Soobin does not like you! Choi.. Soobin is who you’ll always love, regardless. Your twisted mind kept tugging you back and forth so briskly that you wanted to throw up from all of those flutters. It was clear that insanity was stretching you as if you were a four year old’s putty judging from the sour expression on your face, but of course nobody seemed to notice.
Furrowing your tense eyebrows at him, all of the anger built up from tonight washed over your body like a dangerous tsunami.
“Aren’t you supposed to be courting my old friend right now? I thought you guys were going to be a couple judging from how stupid you two are acting, so don’t worry about lil’ ol’ buttercup me!,” you deadpan, gradually becoming enraged enough through the sentence to slam your poor phone onto the wooden table. It’s like you couldn’t control yourself anymore. Your face is furiously burning with anger at the sight of them holding hands, and you happen to sigh exasperatedly which makes all of the customers turn their heads from worry. Some of them were raising amused eyebrows at your attitude so much so, that you wanted to disappear from the face of the Earth.
Crap. You should’ve been watching what you said as to not cause a scene. Did it really matter though? You needed to let out your emotions one way or another! Yeonjun helps alleviate your overwhelming emotions by tightening the hold on your hand under the table but you simply couldn’t help it any longer. Why the hell did you have to have a crush on someone who was too oblivious for his own good? He shouldn’t be that dense! You swore that he was a wall; you couldn’t talk to him about what you felt because for sure, he wouldn’t understand.
And as always, Soobin nods his head nonchalantly at your words- causing the hope that he’d know about what you felt inside to eventually shrivel up and die.
5. He stares at you longingly whenever you aren’t looking.
“Woah, take a chill pill, Y/N,” the girl in front of you croaked out after sipping on a little bit of her special red wine.
You shoot a glare at her, and go back to eat what was expected of your steak- which was pretty much 75% of it left. That was the only thing you could be proud of to arise from this night since you didn’t want to throw up whenever you chose to speak. Speaking of which, there was no point in talking anymore when you knew that everyone would stare at you. Which reminds you. You should probably hide your face now since at least ten people are watching this scene go down. Upon realizing this, you shoo them away with your hands and a few of them awkwardly turned back as if they weren’t watching what happened. Yeonjun chuckles hysterically, shaking his arms around like a lunatic so that the attention would be shielded away from the table.
Under your breath, you mutter a few words lowkey wishing that she would hear. A few words couldn’t her, right? With someone who’s personality was bigger than their plastic lips, you were sure it wouldn’t hurt. “I bet he doesn’t even like you since you keep hogging him all night.”
Something told you she heard due to the sour expression written all over her face.
Immediately, the “kind girl” as Soobin called her started insulting you out of the blue once she comprehended your words. Deeper and stabbing into your heart, her voice was as civil as she could put it to be, but the comments she made were totally out of line. You wanted to respond back with something, however she kept interrupting you with that degrading voice.
“God, it’s like you’re trying so hard to stay with these two! Haven’t you gotten the memo that none of them like you? Who would’ve known that lil’ ol’ buttercup here would be such a slut when back in high school, was the prude of the school?”
You were going to say something- anything to retort back to her until she cut you off again. You really had no power compared to that witch at all, she only made you feel smaller as vulnerability surrounded you, overwhelming your thought process. Her words dripped venom while the anger rose in you similar to that as of a bread rising up under the influence of yeast. It was getting difficult by the minute not to slap her since Soobin was right there and easily unknowingly holding you back.
“After all, you don’t want to embarrass yourself like you do every day. I’m surprised your friendships stayed long enough from high school,” her eyes wandered to your reddening cheeks, feeling much satisfaction fill her for clearly hurting your feelings. “And with that ugly Christmas sweater too? Poor girl, I can see why Soobin would reject you even though I know for a fact you hadn’t even confessed your stupid feelings to him.”
Not a sound of Yeonjun’s endearing chuckles echoed beside you, not a clatter from Soobin’s fork crashed against his plate, and not even a customer’s murmuring voice filled the whole restaurant. All of you remained silent- even the staff and chefs to see what happened next, witnessing that of a melodrama. The only thing repeating in your head was... how could she have the audacity to do that in a public restaurant?
It was like she could see all of your insecurities, both inside and out. The boys couldn’t bring themselves to say anything in fear that it would only do more damage compared to their intentions. Soobin was just as shocked as you were that she would say that aloud where anybody could hear you. Yeonjun shut his mouth, not being able to protect you because he knew the girl would only keep him silent with menacing words. Basically, both of them were wimps who chose not to help you, and that hurt you the most.
As if she could read your mind, she laughed off all the attention towards your table. “Acting innocent now, are you? I’m not surprised. Just leave if you’re not going to let anything come out of that big, stupid mouth.”
That was the final straw.
6. He plays hard to get.
“I-I guess I’m not needed here, then.”
You get up from your spot next to Yeonjun, fumbling to grab your phone on the table. Your eyes are practically brimming with tears as you do your best to hide them with the sleeve of the ugly Christmas sweater she was talking about. Both Soobin and Yeonjun are yelling for you to come back, but you no longer have the pride to see the smirk on that insane woman’s face. If she was going to insult you just to raise herself up, then you could leave one night to save you the embarrassment. She just degraded you in front of everybody, and didn’t say an apology if not more, feel sorry for doing so.
You sprint over to the entrance with tears in your eyes, slamming the door against the brick wall of the building. The customers were gossiping about what just happened, but you didn’t care anymore. All of the emotions were pouring out of you while you pathetically let tears out like a love-struck fool. Now you certainly had no reason to stay, even if the boys were waiting back for you. Good thing nobody was there or else you would’ve gotten angry at them for the littlest of things. Kicking the pile of snow that built up over the events of the dinner, you could see that your frustration was barely restrained.
The crystal snowflakes did little to calm you down as some caught onto the tip of your nose. It had been a while since snow waltzed from up above on this very day, but you couldn’t care less.
A clear night sky is what you’re met with before you feel yourself plop onto the wooden bench. A disappointed sigh is undone from your lips due to the fact that Soobin or even Yeonjun hadn’t chased after you. You made a scene for one of the reasons one of them would chase after you so that one person, at least one would come over and give you some form of attention- unlike what happened all night! Of course you wanted Yeonjun to come so that you could rant what occupied your head, but you bothered him more than enough. He was always one to listen and somehow had a couple pieces of advice every time you asked him for a solution.
You felt your eyelashes flutter by themselves in the frosty air before forcing them shut. You were simply disappointed that the dinner was all wasted because of a stupid crush.
This Christmas Eve was supposed to be special with everyone there... if only your toxic friend chose not to stir up some trouble tonight. Why did Soobin have to invite her anyway? He didn’t know what she could do to sabotage anyone there, including you. For the time being though, you chastised yourself for being so stupid months before. It wasn’t the first time that she made a move on Soobin in order to anger you, but that’s for another day. Foolish enough, you thought back then that forgiving and forgetting would be good to salvage the remnants of the warm friendship you once had.
7. He makes it clear that he likes you.
Perhaps 15 minutes passed before you decided to go back inside and apologize to the boys for ruining the dinner with your temper tantrum. It would be so so so awkward with Soobin, considering that she screamed you liked him, but a little bit of acting would cover it up. Perhaps you were a good actor already! He was oblivious to those warm feelings you owned anyway, and maybe after leaving with Yeonjun you would tell him that none of the things she said was true. Apologies and kindness would be able to make up for it, they just had to. Of course you wouldn’t say sorry to that monster, but hey! It’s Christmas Eve and acting civil is the best thing to do in this situation.
Christmas Eve, and yet you were still disheartened nobody showed up.
Dropping your phone into your purse, you get up from your icy spot on the bench and reluctantly took a few steps to the entrance. The death ring of the jingling bell ceases you in place, and you gasp at the boy who was staring at you with soft eyes. They looked much warmer than earlier when you got the guts to yell at him, so you felt guilty for blaming all of your faults on the boy who was only worried for you.
Breathless, he dashed towards you- heels clicking against the pavement and gently intertwined both of your hands.
“Buttercup, I’m so sorry for what she said. Just please don’t cry. I can’t stand seeing you cry.” With the tip of his thumb, he delicately wiped what was left of your tear stains. Then rubbing both of your cheeks in an attempt to warm your face up, he stared down at you obviously worried.
Seeing how much he cared for you made you grin at his endearment. “Soobders, it’s not your fault! She said things that she shouldn’t have, but I know you guys wouldn’t believe it...” your voice trailed off when you glanced at him, afraid that he really did, “r-right?”
Raising an eyebrow, the tall boy seemed to grow taller in front of you, looming over you in disbelief. You gulped that weird lump in your throat that arose from crying earlier and tried to present yourself as not nervous. Surely, he had to believe you! There wasn’t enough preparation you could do to be rejected from a best friend... Scared and creeped out by how that monster remembered, you hoped that you wouldn’t have to tell them for the second time that you actually really liked him.
The way he remained tall in front of you begged to differ.
Bringing his face closer to yours, a deep frown was etched onto his lips each second he stared at your nervous features. You were grinning awkwardly at how close you two were, but he didn’t seem to notice. Instead, he was more focused on the fact that you couldn’t trust him even if he was one of your confidants. Suspicious, he pulled away at the last second when both of your noses were barely touching. “Something’s wrong with you, and you’re hiding it. You tell me everything and I want to know it, so... what’s on your mind tonight?”
Boy, was he persistent. That caused you to roll your eyes. Couldn’t he just act oblivious for this once? You would gladly get on your knees to beg for him not to barge in your business for the meantime. There’s no way you could confess without preparing first since it’d shatter you once the deed was done.
Unbeknownst to you, Soobin only found this gesture to be confusing since you’d never had an attitude once in front of him. He assumed something was seriously wrong because you tried not to let rude words from others affect you... His date back there must’ve hit a nerve, and done a good job at that. One thing he would do tonight was comfort you until both of you could go back to the dinner table together, plus scare off the woman if you allowed him.
“How about we go back to the table? I didn’t mean to cause a commotion.” Soobin shook his head slowly, his black bangs moving to cover his brown, chocolate eyes. “Tell me what’s wrong,” he presses on further while moving closer to you. It was unbearable- everything. From how near he was to feel his breath fan over your lips, from how his dark eyes urged you to tell him what was going on, to you holding your breath, not allowing to suck in a pocket of air for the pounding beat of your heart. You became flustered at how close he is and backed away into the pile of snow you saw earlier.
Stop, stop! You needed to keep composure!
“Like I said, you don’t have to worry about it. I just wanted to get some fresh air because I felt suffocated in that place where everyone was staring at us. I’m so sorry for making you guys feel embarrassed, this is all my fault.”
“But it isn’t your fault! I should’ve dug deeper into her intentions before inviting her over. You know fully well that nobody will replace you so please, buttercup? Tell me what’s bugging you,” he pleaded, “I know everything about you, but you’re hiding something and that’s making me go crazy.”
Well, that little- of course you had to hide it! Was he that dumb?!
“Are you serious?! You know everything about me?! She said that I liked you since I met you- and hell, that’s true! I just- I really really like you! You haven’t been seeing all the signs I send you, no matter how much I try. It’s clear to everyone that I like you, but you don’t know it- the only person I desperately want to know about how I feel! Something in me must’ve snapped when you flirted with them back there, and I couldn’t help myself! The jealousy just slammed me against the ground and-” before you could speak any longer, Soobin shushed you silent with his lips against yours softly.
It was a way to shut you up; you instantly stopped ranting as soon as he brought you in deeper with his intoxicating lips. He tasted as sweet as strawberries, encouraging you to relish in the feeling of finally having someone you pined for so long. Your words fell into his mouth as you kissed him back immediately, bringing him closer to your freezing arms. His chest pushed against yours until your back hit the cold brick walls.
Warm butterflies fluttered in your stomach, shooting out swirls of what you called fuzzies to run through your veins. It was finally what you waited for.
It’s love.
Soobin’s hand lingers to the one you placed on his chest, clutching it as if it was the last time. You chuckled at his eagerness, but that doesn’t mean either of you pulled away! Because seriously, you don’t have to watch a video to know that he likes you for the nth time. It’s the way that he giggles into the soft yet passionate kiss you both share that you finally know- after all this time, your crush really does like you.

"Damn you, Lila!" groaned Chat Noir.
Volpina smirked. "I'm Volpina. Don't waste effort trying to break free; save your energy for what Jacques has in store for you!"
The black-clad superhero growled at Volpina's cackle, but soon lowered his head, not a word coming out of his mouth.
"Finally, you're quiet." Volpina mocked triumphantly as her flute started beeping. She was surprised to see Queen Bee's face on a holographic screen when she opened her communicator. "What's going on?", she asked hastily.
"The slimy fox has escaped!" exclaimed Queen Bee with a little pout on her face.
Volpina stomped her foot. "One job! I gave you ONE JOB! To watch over that stupid reporter. And what do you do? Not even half an hour later, you lose her! What kind of idiot are you?"
Unseen by Volpina, Marinette smirked and exchanged looks with Chat Noir, who nodded to her with a panicky gleam into his eyes. Suddenly, Papillon's mask appeared on Lila's face.
"No! I want to be the one to take the ring off Chat Noir's finger," argued the fox villain. The mask shined brighter and after a moment that felt endless, Volpina lowered her head. "Okay. I'll take care of it. But it doesn't end here, Queen Bee. Mess it up again and our deal is over!" She hung up the communicator and jumped onto the window sill. "Jacques is still watching you, Chat Noir. No funny business. I'll be back ASAP." That said, she disappeared out of sight.
The sentimonster folded its arms over its chest and stared, a lingering smirk popping up at the edges of its mouth.
Marinette grabbed a firm hold of the bars of her cage and gritted her teeth under the sentimonster's cold stare. "I can't believe my prejudices about Chloé were correct," she groaned. "I was so doubtful when the events of Miracle Queen happened, I wanted to believe she could change, but something inside kept telling me that it was impossible. I was right."
Chat Noir eyed the sentimonster and nodded. When his gaze met hers, Marinette noticed that the panic in his eyes hadn't faltered. She had to calm him down or he might do something rash.
"Alya will help, Chaton. We'll be okay!" Her voice trembled, as if she too doubted her words. "I need to believe that we will," she added. Her voice cracked a little, her cheeks shining with tears.
"Don't cry, Purr-incess. We're going to win, as usual. And this time we'll defeat Papillombre for good." But even he didn't believe what he'd said. The room was wrapped in an awkward silence, only broken by the rhythmical tik-tok of a large clock perched on the wall behind them. Chat Noir's Miraculous beeped. He cursed under his breath—he'd been so busy worrying about their situation that he'd forgotten about his timer. His breath caught at the sound as his face drained of blood.
"What are you going to do when Papillombre is defeated, Chaton? Will you stay home or…"
"I don't know," he muttered. "I may need to leave the country. You know, I'll only have two relatives left, and they…" He eyed the sentimonster. "...don't live here."
"Maybe we can convince your relatives to keep you here?" Marinette's hands flattened on the bars of the cage, as if trying to push on a non-existent wall. "Maybe we can live together. Share a place, you know?" She blushed to the roots of her hair. Stealing a quick look, she noticed how red his own face was at the suggestion.
"Y-you mean like roommates?" he whispered, sounding out of breath.
"Y-yeah. Of course. Roommates. Yep. we can share… a r—an apartment. Yes. Waking up in the morning, making breakfast for the two of us, watching TV until it's late at night and playing video games when we're bored of the TV." She sighed and shot him a languid look that caused him to gulp dryly. "We're going to have fun, Chaton. I'll teach you everything you don't know."
"Cooking?" asked Chat Noir, his nose glued to the bars as his pleading gaze met her hopeful one.
"Baking," she told him with a smile. He beamed at her and her smile widened. "I'm not the daughter of the best baker in Paris for nothing.You'll learn from the best, so you'll be great in no time!"
"We can get a piano for the apartment, right?" asked Chat Noir after having stayed quiet for a long instant, eyes still closed, his forehead resting against one of the bars.
"Of course, Minou. What do you want the piano for?"
"I can teach you to play." He looked at her, a radiant smile on his lips that made Marinette's heart drum furiously in her throat. "And Chinese. I can teach you that too, as I promised in Shanghai. Sorry I never managed to do that before."
"Don't worry." She smiled softly. "So that's the deal right? I teach you baking and life skills, and you teach me Chinese and how to play piano? Sounds like an excellent agreement, Chaton. We're going to be purr-fect roommates!"
He smirked. "Was that a pun, purr-incess?"
She smirked back. "Your humour must be starting to rub off me. Oh no! How am I going to survive sharing a place with a dork like you?" They laughed, but as they did, Chat Noir's Miraculous beeped a bit louder. Only one paw left; he knew his time was coming. He eyed the sentimonster as a shiver ran down his spine. Just another minute and his father would know that he’d worked against him. His stomach twisted as the Miraculous beeped one last time and a blob of green energy ran through his body.
The sentimonster's eyes widened. "Adrien?" it whispered. "I can't believe it."
Adrien's face was as white as a sheet, as if someone butchered his heart out of his chest. "Hello, Father."

RobStar Week 2021, Day 4 - Survivors
(Bit of a trippy one.  I didn’t know what to do with this prompt at first and then things suddenly just kind of clicked into place.
Enjoy!)
---
He was falling through a black void, wind rushing up past his head, fluttering in his clothes.  There was a familiar kind of terror latched around his heart, thrilling through his veins, mingling with the weightless sensation in his stomach.
The ground suddenly slammed into his knees; Robin threw his hands out to catch himself as he heard a sharp gasp rise from an unseen crowd.
Disoriented, Robin shook his head, raising his eyes to see himself sitting in a pool of white light, between the broken bodies of a man and woman.  Blood seeped out from under their twisted limbs, spreading across the circle of light and slowly staining it red.
Oh, he thought, a dull numbness taking him now.  This again.
He'd seen this scene play out dozens of times, in his dreams, behind his eyelids, tracing through his memories on a bad day.
Was this a dream then?  He wasn't sure.  It definitely didn't feel real but he would have normally woken up by now.
Water leaked from his eyes, dripped off his cheeks, almost involuntarily.  Robin bowed his chin, sirens echoing in his ears, the flash of his circus costume in the corner of his vision.  He wished he could feel something besides dull grief.
A soft sound suddenly whispered under the sirens.  Robin's brows pinched and he looked up again, peering into the darkness beyond the spotlight.
It sounded like... crying.
He hadn't moved from his kneeling position, but now the spotlight and the circus were somehow behind him, and a tiny figure was huddling in a corner of the void, shivering and sobbing.
Concern touched him, and he reached out a hand, placing in on the figure's small shoulder.
A round head with red hair popped up, big green eyes shimmering with tears.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice young and boyish, a child's voice, full of innocence.
The girl just whimpered, burying her face again, curling up tighter as the sound of distant explosions rumbled through the walls.
He looked around, seeing the others cowering in the shadows, strange men and women clinging to each other and to the walls, which shook and vibrated with every muted blast.
Above their heads somewhere he could glimpse rows of observers, a hundred blank, featureless faces covered with white masts, beady blank eyes staring down at them.
Robin smiled bravely, turning back to the other child.
"Hey, it's okay.  I lost someone too," he said.
The sniffling stopped and the girl raised her face, wiping her eye.  "You did?" she asked.
He nodded, and then extended a hand out to her.  "Come on.  Let's go find them."
She took his hand, her fingers orange and warm, and let him guide her to her feet.  She moved shyly, nervously, the purple fabric of her costume with its big green jewels and wide silver bands and short cape like his rustling softly.
They turned as one towards the formless shapes ahead of them in the void.  Rubble blocked their path and ships streaked low overhead.
"It is dangerous," the girl warned him.
He squeezed her hand tighter.  "I know."
They ran.
Dangers appeared and disappeared like exploding firecrackers around them, laser blasts from the bombers above, buildings bursting open, a metal polearm stabbing towards their heads.  They tripped over the arm of a dead body once, and scrambled up the debris that had buried it.
On the other side the streets were dingy, dimly-lit by grimy lamps, empty save for scuttling shadows and the echoes of mad laughter.  The blank faces watching them seemed to grow more prominent, each white mask an eerie moon in the reddish sky.
They swerved around the visage of a hellish clown, moving down another street as the void grew dark once more.  They couldn't see, but they seemed to know where they were going, their hands gripping stronger as their strides lengthened, their footsteps changing from the light step of shoes to the steady thump of boots.
In time with their heartbeats sounded the clank, clank, clatter of gears, and hissing steam burst from a pipe to their left, casting a new circle of white light ahead of them, where an imposing shadow loomed.
Robin froze, his breath catching, blood freezing momentarily in his veins and turning him to ice.  He pulled up short, and then Starfire did too as his anchoring hand jerked her back.
The faces leaned in closer, like eager vultures.
He knew he should do something, fight, run, keep going, but the taunting orange and black mask leering out at him pinned him in place like there were a dozen spears crisscrossing through his chest and he couldn't move, couldn't—
But then Starfire was moving ahead of him, stepping in front of him, her hands glowing.  Wordlessly she shot her starbolts into the shadow, shattering the face of Slade like so much obsidian glass.
The whole void seemed to break apart, cracks splintering and tearing and the dull, dream-like feeling of reality crumbling away until they were uncovering their heads, immediately and coldly alert, blinking in the harsh white spotlight of the court with the masked owl observers now clearly staring down at them from their perches.
Robin's eyes narrowed into a glare.  Taking up a place by Starfire, he squared his shoulders defiantly.
"Nice try," he said.  "But we've both lived through way worse than your mind games."
"How unfortunate," came a fluttering twitter from one of the faces, sounding only mildly disappointed.  "It appears you cannot be convinced.  Therefore, as a threat to our endeavors, you must now be eliminated."
Starfire moved to block him, fury in her glowing eyes, shielding Robin from the glare of the mask she had decided was the speaker.
"You will greatly regret such an attempt, if you take it," she warned, growling low, every syllable promising violence.
The mask sniffed haughtily.  "I'm sure."
Robin readied himself into a stance, watching the bodies above for movement.
***
When they made the final tally, the bodies hidden under the sewer pipes of Jump City numbered at least in the hundreds, some of the remains as old as the city itself.
Despite the Court's best efforts, Robin and Starfire—and the fifty or so high-ranking members that attempted to mass suicide rather than admit defeat to two teenagers—were not among them.
Against the odds, they lived.

*pops up from nowhere*
Hey, would you like to rate these?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
*disappears*
hell yeah I do. (left to right, top to bottom) I stopped giving ratings in numbers after the first because I didn´t feel like it so don´t mind that lmao
1. Jakurai: well...you can´t really do much wrong keeping it grey. the coat is nice, but why is the band of the coat tied like that lol. Bonus points for the mtr symbol on the belt. 7/10 solid. Hifumi: The red from the roses is a bit much combined with his hair but look. I am biased and you can´t always just wear clothes to fit your unusual hair color so he gets a pass. The suit is absolutely stunning and I love him. Bonus for the belt and shoes with the mtr logo. (he has such a nice figure wtfff) 10/10 Doppo: LISTEN THIS OUTFIT??? absolute banger. The teal to fit his hair? the belt saying tigridia? the turtleneck on him? the fit in general? Someone buy me this I want it myself. what the fuck. 100/10
2. I don´t have much to say for these lol Jakurai: It´s nice to have a lil colour on him. baby blue cute. ponytail supremacy<3
hifumi: idk why but I am kinda just liking blue on him. I like his hair in this a lot and the jacket looks like a suit jacket but it´s still kind of a casual flair, all in all....he<3 Doppo: Generally yeah...the hair looks unusual on him but not in a bad way, I rly like it. Aside from that I am questioning everything beneath his waist. Why do the pants have that stripe making them look like jogging pants or some shit and the shoes?? the green is so random. why. 3. Jakurai: ngl??? I kinda hate this for sensei. I don´t like the hairstyle and the way it makes his face look, and then the all-white outfit is just??? no, not rly<3 Hifumi: I think people made fun of Hifumi for this one and all I can say is how dare you. I really like the shirt (idk what to call it) with the flower pattern and that blue. It´s colorful and extra...like him<3 The sunglasses on the necklace are a nice touch, he just looks ready for vacation and I love him okay (also just noticed he has a bracelet there :0) Doppo: I still don´t know what I think of this. I am like: I like it. but I don´t. but I do- I think my problem is that it´s all the same color. But also Doppo wearig jewelry :0 I like the bracelet. His hair looks very similar to Hifumis normal hairstyle? inchresting..... 4. (I talk too much) Jakurai: I like this one (I think..lol). the gloves...yes. idk what else to say the hair is nice but also can someone tell kr that sensei doesn´t always have to wear coats and white or grey? give him a bit of color pls, thx. Hifumi: Truly idk what this outfit is trying to do but it has grown on me in my time in this fandom and I would be lying if I said I am not a fan of the cowboy boots sjdhdsjfhnj The hair is nice, my problems are just that the yellow of the rose against the gold is a bit :/ and also the length of the shirt and stuff hanging down behind his legs (idk what to call it my english is leaving me) makes him seem smaller? anyway he<3 Doppo: I am once again questioning everything beneath the waist. Why these pants with these shoes paired with the grey shirt and that gold necklace??? personally I think that no<3 Doppo having his hair pushed behind his ear looks cute, but the whole energy the outfit gives off doesn´t fit him imo (and I also just don´t like it djfhdjghfj)

Secret Love Part 4 || Cale Makar
Tumblr media
Requested: [ ] yes [x] no
Authors Note:
Warnings: cursing, discussion of sexual activities
Word Count: 3,911
~~~~
You’d tossed and turned for almost an hour before you had eventually drifted off to sleep, only to be awoken by the Denver sunrise spilling through the window. Groaning softly you made a mental note for the shopping trip...curtains...Cale definitely needed curtains. Laying on the couch, you played on your phone for a few minutes before the need to use the bathroom finally took over.
After knocking quietly on Cale’s door with no response, you cracked it open hoping to sneak through to the bathroom without disturbing him. As you tiptoed across his bedroom floor, you couldn’t help but let your eyes fall on him. As expected, he was shirtless, blankets falling only midway up his exposed chest. His hair was a mess, and a relaxed expression covered his face. Quietly closing the bathroom door behind you, you chastised yourself for the heat that flooded through you. You were just friends and despite his now single status, that was all this was ever going to be.
Relieving yourself, you then quickly brushed your teeth before quietly moving back to the living room, easing his door shut behind you. His parents were going to be here in about an hour and after starting a pot of coffee you examined the contents of Cale’s fridge and cabinets. Finding bacon, eggs, and pancake mix you decided to make everyone breakfast. It was as you were moving around the kitchen that Cale finally appeared, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
“You’re making breakfast?” He murmured, leaning in to kiss the top of your head.
“I am…” You smiled, checking on the bacon in the oven as you scrambled eggs in a pan on the stove. Cale poured himself a cup of coffee and you felt his eyes on you once more.
“Anything I can do?” He questioned after a moment.
“Get some plates?” You requested. “How do you want your eggs?” The clatter of plates filled your ears for a moment as Cale set plates beside you.
“However you’re making them is perfect.” He insisted, sharing a warm grin now that he was a little bit more awake. Nodding you took one of the plates and scooped a hefty portion of eggs onto it before pulling the bacon from the oven and the pancakes from where they were keeping warm in the microwave and piling those onto the plate as well.
“Eat up.” You grinned, turning to place the plate in front of one of the bar stools at the island. Doing another batch of eggs quickly you set everything aside to keep warm before serving yourself a much smaller portion. Taking a seat beside him, you shook your head as you watched Cale continue to dig into his breakfast. The moment felt a little too domestic and natural so you were thankful when there was a knock at the door that signaled that Laura and Gary had arrived.
It wasn’t long after that before you were quickly getting ready and heading out with Laura to go shopping for things for Cale’s apartment. The first place you stopped was Starbucks and then you were off to a local shopping center to do some damage.
“You seem more relaxed…” Laura mentioned as she sat waiting for the light to turn green.
“Yeah uh...we talked after dinner last night. We’re good.” You shrugged. Yes you were close with Laura, but you really didn’t want to tell her the details of your friendship with her son. She seemed to accept that because she nodded and smiled.
“Good. I’m glad.” Her response ended the subject and instead she focused on the task ahead. “So you’ve spent a decent amount of time in Cale’s apartment...what does he still need other than what he mentioned to me?”
“Well curtains would be good. Waking up to the sun isn’t always ideal.” You said, a yawn slipping from your throat. “He could also use a throw blanket for the couch.” You added, pondering over what comforts Cale’s apartment seemed to be missing that would make it feel more like a home.
Wandering through aisles, Laura did most of the shopping, occasionally asking for your thoughts on something before either tossing it into the cart or putting it back on the shelf. As you walked through the aisle containing photo frames you paused.
“What do you think about surprising him with some pictures?” You suggested. He had a couple pieces of ‘artwork’ but there really weren’t any family photos to be found as far as you could see.
“Why don’t you take the reins on that?” Laura replied, a soft look you couldn’t place filling her eyes as she handed you her phone. “Text yourself anything from my camera roll.” As she looked through possible throw pillows, you quickly scanned through the pictures, texting yourself a half dozen that would be perfect. Agreeing to meet up in about fifteen minutes, you headed back to the instant photo machine, plugging your phone in to print the pictures from Laura’s gallery as well as a couple from your own. Satisfied with what you had, you moved back to the frames, picking out one for each photo before moving to find some command strips to hang them with.
On the car ride back to Cale’s place, you worked to get each photo into a frame. By the time Laura pulled back into the garage you were finished and you helped her carry all of the shopping bags inside. Cale had given his mom the spare key in case the two of you were done before he got back and after letting yourselves inside, you went to work on making Cale’s apartment feel just a little cozier. Together you hung curtains up in his living room, tossing pillows and the sherpa throw onto the couch. Then Laura helped you with hanging photos on his bedroom wall while a few of them were placed stationary on a side table in his living room. Laura unpacked the rest of the things Cale had asked her to buy and then the two of you settled onto the couch to watch tv until the guys arrived.
Gary and Cale had picked up lunch on the way home, so the four of you sat down to eat. When you finished, Cale handed you a gift bag and though you had a feeling you knew what it was, you were still anxious to open it. Navy fabric accented with maroon and white spilled around your fingers and you gently ran your fingers over the number 8 and lettering of the nameplate.
“Can’t have you come to the game tonight without proper apparel.” Cale murmured and you jumped up quickly, wrapping your arms around him in a hug.
“It’s perfect.” You agreed. You’d packed the Makar home jersey that you’d bought yourself at the beginning of the season, but you had to admit the thirds were your favorite jersey and getting the jersey from Cale meant just a little bit more than buying one for yourself.
As you cleaned up lunch, Cale started to settle in, getting ready to take his pregame nap. He had acknowledged the curtains, blanket, pillows and other things his mom had gotten him but it wasn’t until he disappeared into his bedroom for a moment that his eyes must have caught the photos. He’d only been gone maybe 30 seconds when he returned, pulling his mom into a huge hug, his eyes soft.
“You framed pictures for me?” He muttered softly.
“That idea was all Y/N.” Laura quickly clarified and immediately Cale turned to you, his arms wrapping around you just as tightly.
“That’s incredible. Thank you.” He whispered into your ear, and when he pulled back his hands lingered on your hips for a moment more.
Soon you were grabbing everything you’d need for the game because you were headed with Laura and Gary to play tourist while Cale napped and then headed to the rink. Laura and Gary had already headed downstairs while you debated on a shirt to wear and you didn’t even notice Cale come up beside you as you dug through your bag.
“Wear that one.” He instructed, pointing to a wine red long-sleeved off-the-shoulder blouse. “We’re going out after the game if we win.” He clarified, rubbing the back of his neck. You were already wearing your favorite pair of jeans and had thrown on a cute pair of tennis shoes for running around. You weren’t exactly a club type of person but going out with Cale and his teammates did seem fun.
“Okay.” You agreed, disappearing into his bathroom to change tops before returning. “Have a good nap. And kick some ass tonight.” You teased, grabbing your makeup bag because you’d barely put any on to go shopping and if you were going out tonight you were going to need to rethink your current makeup. With everything you needed, you snuck a kiss to Cale’s cheek before disappearing out the door to meet Gary and Laura down at the car.
____
The last time you saw Cale play live was versus Calgary during the playoffs. So sitting in the stands of the Pepsi Center watching him warm up was an entirely different experience. You’d watched him on tv many times but in person it was clear to see just how much his game was growing every day. He was almost mesmerizing to watch and tucked in next to Laura, wrapped in his jersey, you felt at peace. Well, at least until the puck dropped for real.
During a commercial break in the first period, the Avs announced a promo game. After the participant was introduced and the game was explained, a baby picture popped up on the screen. In it, a little boy, no more than 9 or 10 months old, sat between the legs of a little girl around the age of five who had a book in her hands. Immediately your own cheeks flushed as you recognized the picture, it was one of your favorites from when you and Cale were super little. The fan playing got one guess of who it was with no options to win an autographed jersey, but they were way off and guessed Nate for some reason. Then multiple choice popped up with Cale’s name, JT’s, and Gabe for a chance at an autographed puck. You didn’t even pay attention to the guess beyond hearing the boos signaling they got it wrong, but instead your gaze landed on Cale who was looking up at the screen, hiding a smile as he took some ribbing by his teammates. Eventually his eyes drifted up to where you were seated and he sent a little wink that you would have missed if you weren’t looking at him. From beside you Laura just smiled and bumped your shoulder, signaling without words just how strong your friendship with Cale really was.
The Avs played a solid all around game and you cheered with each goal scored. Cale had two assists on the night and with the team coming out with the win you knew he was going to be in a good mood. Heading down to the locker room, you listened as Gary rambled on about the game as hockey dads do while sharing looks with Laura that made you burst into laughter.
When Cale finally stepped out of the locker room he hugged his parents before lifting you up and spinning you around.
“You ready to go have some fun?” He inquired, boyish smile on his face.
“Don’t get into too much trouble.” Laura warned, though her expression wasn’t all that serious.
“As if I’d let him.” You joked. For years Cale’s family had the running joke of you being the more responsible one keeping Cale in line. It wasn’t always true obviously, but for the most part the point stood. Still after the past few weeks Cale had had, you were willing to let him go just a little bit crazy tonight, knowing that you would be there as his safety net.
“We’ll see you both tomorrow.” Gary grinned. “Go relax and have a good time.” Cale’s arm drifted around your waist as he tugged you to his car. Once there, you stripped off the jersey leaving you in just the blouse and as he pulled out of the garage you mussed up your hair just a little bit. Using the mirror, you carefully added a little more eyeliner before throwing on a dark lipstick, tossing both cylinders into the cupholder beside you.
By the time you stepped out of the car at the club you felt ready for a night out and as you watched Cale shed his jacket, you felt his eyes on you once more.
Waiting for him to be ready to head inside, you watched as a tall redhead approached, beautiful woman tucked into his side.
“Y/N...this is JT and his girlfriend Lauren.” Cale introduced and you reached a hand out to shake theirs before tucking your hand back into your pocket.
“So this is the best friend.” JT said, smirking. “Bout time Cale finally brought you around, he’s been talking about you for forever.”
“Really?” You teased, ready to throw out a semi-embarrassing tidbit until Cale grabbed you by the waist, his finger falling to your lips to shush you as he guided you inside.
“Can you at least let me get a drink or two in me before you start spilling the embarrassing stories?” He pleaded jokingly.
“I suppose.” You conceded, smiling as he guided you up to the VIP lounge and over to the bar. Settling for a glass of wine, you watched him order a beer for himself before leading you over to one of the many couches. It wasn’t long before you were being introduced to all of Cale’s teammates.
Gabe was boisterous and funny and the way that he looked at his wife Mel made you smile brightly. Josty was a character, he had you laughing almost immediately as he told stories about all of the media events he’d done with Cale and what he’d learned from residing in the same building. He was definitely giving you ammo to use later. Then again they all were, chirps had been flying left and right all night.
You’d been nursing the same glass of wine for about an hour, watching as Cale downed another 2-3 beers as well as a shot that Burky handed him. It was nice to see Cale out with people that clearly cared about him and you knew this was probably the first time he had really been able to let go of all of the stress since the pregnancy scare.
Eventually Mel and Lauren dragged you out onto the dance floor with the other better halves and even though you’d barely had anything to drink, the beat of the music had you relaxing, enjoying the time you had getting to know the people who were part of Cale’s other family.
“You know his eyes haven’t left you all night.” Mel eventually declared, her voice barely audible over the loud music.
“He’s always been a little protective…” You simply shrugged. The look Mel and Lauren shared suggested that they weren’t buying that logic but they didn’t push things. After a few more songs, you left the dance floor to head to the bar for a bottle of water. While there a tall….like really tall, dark haired man who looked like he should star in the next hollywood vampire blockbuster, slipped up beside you, his arm brushing against yours lightly. As you placed him as Cale’s d-partner you smiled up at him before looking back at where the bartender was rushing back and forth.
“You know none of us have ever seen him like this before…” Ryan murmured. “He comes out but he never really lets loose. Now I don’t know whether that’s because it’s the first time we’ve been out since everything happened or if it’s because you’re here but I suspect it’s more to do with the latter.” You didn’t really know what to say to that so you shrugged. “And I’m not saying that in the manner of he feels like you’re the babysitter who will take care of him, I’m saying that he feels comfortable because you’re here in a way he was never comfortable either by himself or with Sara.” Ryan finally managed to get the bartender’s attention and he ordered your water along with whatever he was drinking before continuing. “And I’m sure Cale never said anything and neither did anyone else but...you should know everyone really likes you. And I can’t say the same for Sara.” Just as quickly as he’d appeared, Ryan had walked off and you glanced over at Cale to see his eyes planted firmly on you, his cheeks rosy from the alcohol.
Water in hand, you moved to Cale’s side, his arm wrapping around you immediately. The redness in his eyes told you he’d had a little bit more to drink than he probably should have and you pushed your water his way, not wanting him to be completely impossible to drag home. The grin on his face was lazy as he took the bottle, showing how completely relaxed and at ease he was.
His Adam's apple bobbed as he took a long sip of the water and you tilted your head to observe him, tie gone and the top few buttons of his shirt undone. His fingers slipped just under the edge of your shirt along your hip and you took your own sip from the bottle of water trying to hide the flush that filled your body at the feeling of his fingertips on your bare skin. Passing the water back to him, it was soon gone and once the bottle was empty you stood, looking over your shoulder.
“Are you going to sit there all night or are you going to come dance with me?” You inquired, your tongue running against your bottom lip. Stumbling just slightly, Cale slipped out of the booth and his hand fell to the curve of your back as he guided you over to where his teammates and their significant others were dancing.
With Cale’s chest pressed against your back, his hands fell to your hips once more and the pads of his fingers wandered over every inch of skin they could reach. His touch had never affected you like this before, he’d never been this brazen before, but you chalked both of those factors up to the alcohol. Though you’d only had two glasses of wine since you arrived, wine had always made you far warmer than any other form of alcohol so the heat in your skin was definitely just from that.
“So I have a question…” Cale’s breath fanned over your ear as he leaned down to whisper yell at you, allowing you to hear him over the rap song that was playing.
“Yes Cale?” You replied, tilting your body back against his so that you could see his face. It was even rosier than before and his soft smile was replaced by a serious and focused look causing your eyebrow to quirk at the sight.
“Women like having oral sex performed on them right?” For a split second you were certain that it was only Cale’s hold on you that kept you from falling right over. Choking on your own saliva as you tried to swallow you quickly coughed, your cheeks even more flushed than you could attribute to the wine.
“I...I mean from what I’ve heard yeah…” You finally stumbled out an answer. “Why?” Your question was ignored as Cale’s hands tightened around your hips.
“You’ve heard?” Cale prodded. “You don’t know?” Cursing under your breath you shivered as Cale’s thumb stroked a sensitive spot along your side.
“Cale…” You mumbled, not drunk enough for this conversation. He poked you in the side though signaling you to continue and you groaned. “I mean...I had sex for the first time freshman year of college and we didn’t exactly know what we were doing…” You explained, softly enough that only Cale would hear you. “And I mean I’ve only had sex one other time...it was a one night stand and we were both way too drunk to do anything but fuck. So yeah...I’m just taking other people’s word on it...why are you asking Cale?” You finished, twisting in his arms so that you could look at him properly. His head ducked to press against the crook of your neck and he hissed quietly as you drug your nails along his lower back.
“Just curious…” Cale breathed. “Sara never let me...I mean I wanted to but...she told me she wasn’t interested.” For a moment you didn’t know what to say as that little piece of you celebrated the fact that it seemed there were a lot of things he didn’t do with his ex girlfriend.
“Oh...I mean everyone has their own likes and dislikes…” You reminded him. “But generally equal reciprocation is definitely appreciated.”
As the song ended, Gabe called Cale’s name to go take another shot and you pushed him to go murmuring that you were going to run to the bathroom. By the time you returned, you suspected it was definitely time to get Cale home, so you sidled up to his side, slipping your hand in his front pocket for his car keys.
“I think it’s time we get you home and to bed rockstar.” You declared. Thankfully Cale didn’t put up much of a fight, closing his tab before letting you lead him out of the club. By the time you had parked in his garage, you could see how sleepy the alcohol was making him and you moved around to help him out of the car, his body nearly dragging yours down with its weight.
Stumbling through the door, you urged him to start to bed while you got him more water and some pain killers. Gathering both, you moved to his room after checking to ensure the front door was locked. You found him sitting on the edge of his bed, dressed in only boxer briefs and though you tried not to stare, your body couldn’t help but notice that gone was the teenage boy you once knew and in his place was a man plain and simple. Setting the water and pills on his bedside table, you urged him to take his contacts out.
Once you were certain he was fairly settled, you turned to make your way to the couch. Instead, Cale’s hands reached out to pull you back to him and as he scooted to the far side of the bed, he drug you down with him.
“Cale…” You mumbled in complaint but his eyes were already closed and his breathing was starting to steady out, his hands keeping your body pressed tightly against his. Sighing, you managed to work yourself out of your jeans before giving in and settling in his arms.
Between your conversation with Gravy, the looks Mel and Lauren were giving you, Cale’s inquiry, wandering hands, and this, so many lines had been blurred tonight that it was making you dizzy.
For the second night in a row...your mind reeled as you fell into a fitful sleep.
~8~
All the years spent under the thumbs of her parents, Adelais learned skills that most people would disregard as useless. Among those was sleeping in some of the most uncomfortable conditions. She had slept on the stone-cold concrete of the basement floor, nothing to soften the surface or keep her warm. The drafty space of the attic where she encountered a disturbing number of bugs, only a moldy rug between her and the wood. Forced to stand in one place that would result in punishment if they found she had moved come morning.
 Sitting propped against the wall is far from the worst sleeping spot she had encountered so far.
 When her eyes opened the sight that greeted her was Claire and Marcia spooned together on one bed and Casey stretched out on the other. It must have been early; she woke at 4 in the morning like she was on a damned wind-up clock. But this was different. She hadn’t woken from the routine she had built up over the years, something had woken her.
That’s when she noticed there was more lighting in the room than there should have been. Only the small lights on the backwall were on, leaving just the faintest glow above the heads of the other girls.
 Casting her eyes to her left, she kept herself carefully emotionless when she came face to face with the body of Dennis and Patricia—because it was clearly not them—smiling at her almost manically. Wearing what seemed to be a black and yellow tracksuit, the zipper of the coat undone enough to show a plain white shirt beneath. Legs were crossed and he rested his back against the doorframe so he could face her.
 “Hello,” she greeted quietly, trying not to wake the other three.
 How many personalities did this person have? Which was the original?
 “I’m Hedwig,” he responded. The lisp that altered his words slightly caused her a moment of shock—a child? “How do you sleep like that?” he inquired a moment later, tipping his head to the side as he regarded how she was sitting against the wall—actually quite similar to him, since her legs were crossed, and her hands were tucked together in her lap.
 His voice was slightly louder than hers. Doubtless enough to wake the others soon. “Practice,” was her calm response.
 Before he even opened his mouth, Adelais lifted a finger to her lips to convey his need to be quiet. He paused at the commend, his smile dimming as his expressed became a mix of a frown and a pout.
 “You’ll wake them up,” she explained quietly, using the same finger she had shushed him with to point over to Marcia and Claire.
 The scoff he released as more like air pushed between his bottom lip and his top teeth, like someone blowing a raspberry. “So?”
 Ducking her head closer to him, like a secret was being shared, Adelais kept her eyes carefully trained on his. “I don’t want to wake them; they’re mean to me.” His expression hardened, finally looking similar to Dennis. “They say I’m crazy.”
 Hedwig sucked on his lip, maintaining the sour look on his face. “The others used to be mean to me,” he responded in a much quieter tone. “But Miss. Patricia and Mr. Dennis keep the others away. Now, Miss. Patricia sings to me sometimes—she’s not mad at me anymore.” He smiled, but it wobbled slightly as he tried to mask the turmoil of emotions welling to the surface.
 Adelais’s answering smile was sad. “It must be nice to have someone who takes care of you.”
 “Who-who takes care of you?” Hedwig shuffled forward, separating from the doorframe to put less space between them.
 She shook her head. “No one, I take care of myself.”
 With the innocence only a child could have, he frowned at her words. “That sounds lonely.”
 “It is. Mr. Dennis has been keeping me company. When he can. I’m sure he’s very busy so he usually has to leave. Does he know you’re here?”
 A look of panic came to his face and Adelais knew she had asked the wrong question. “No-no…no, he’ll be angry if he knows I took the light.” Pulling back abruptly, the shifting of the keys next to him on the floor was enough to alert Marcia and Claire, who jerked up with dual gasps of fright.
 Hedwig looks over at them, panicked again.
 “I was quiet!” he declared to Adelais, his voice still in a whisper. He looked upset, afraid—it was how she used to look when she was younger and had displeased her mother. Waiting for the yelling or lashing to start, punishment for disobedience. “I-I was quiet!”
 Nodding her head calmly, she hoped she conveyed assurance with the small smile she allowed. “You were. It’s okay. You did nothing wrong.” Thankfully, the devastated look on his face softened before there was the threat of tears.
 Marcia and Claire were whispering Casey’s name, trying to wake up the other girl as well. It drowned out what Hedwig and Adelais were saying to one another, keeping the quiet assurance between the two of them. She half expected Hedwig to leave now that the girls were awake—Casey jolted up with a gasp once she realized there was someone else in the room—but he just turned himself around to lean on the side of the doorframe closest to her.
 The upset already forgotten.
 Silence stretched for a moment as he smiled at the others. “I’m Hedwig,” he finally declared, so similar to his introduction to her. “I have red socks.”
 The simplicity of youthful minds.
 His expression shifted then, the smile disappearing as he bit at his lip like someone dying to tell a secret. “He’s on the move.” Looking over his shoulder to where Adelais was still leaning against the wall, the manic smile returned as he ducked his head while supressing a laugh.
 Casey’s voice was raspy from sleep. “What?”
 The giggle escaped, Hedwig turning his head away. Excited to know something they didn’t. “He’s…on…the…move,” he repeated slowly, drawing out the last word like the last note of a song.
 “Mr. Dennis?” Adelais asked quietly, though she already suspected he was talking about someone quite different.
 “Nope,” he responded, popping the ‘p’ as grinned at her. Ducking his head, he turned the grin on the other three. “Someone’s coming for you, and you’re not gunna like it.” Next, he faced Adelais. “They make noises in their sleep. I thought you were dead.”
 Marcia interrupted quietly, “Tell us.”
 He looked like he wanted to, opening and closing his mouth like he couldn’t quite decide what he wanted to say. Instead, he declared “I’m not supposed to say” while turning his head to look out into the other room, where Dennis and Adelais would stand for the few minutes of quiet. “But!” he continued, turning back, “He’s done awful things to people and he’ll do awful things to you. I have blue socks, too.”
 “We’re his food?”
 Hedwig extended his arms in an ‘I dunno’ gesture, making a face while doing so. He nearly smacked Adelais with his hand as he stretched back but she quickly lifted her leg until her knee was drawn up to her chest. The rush of blood back into her feet set them aflame with pins and needles. She dutifully ignored the sensations.
 Casey leaned forward, dawning with realization. “How old are you?”
 “Nine,” he declared proudly.
 “So you’re not the guy that took us?”
 She’s as hopeless as the other two.
 Adelais resisted the urge to roll her eyes as Hedwig scoffed at her. When she confirmed that he wasn’t Patricia, either, he made a face. “What are you, blind?” Then to Adelais, slightly quieter, “Is she?”
 “No, just ignorant,” she answered just as quietly. “But be careful, she’s smarter than the others.” Hedwig leaned closer to her, nearly falling from against the doorframe, as he met her gaze. Her whispered warning was so quiet, she knew the others couldn’t understand her. He frowned with concentration. “She lies.”
 Casey spoke over her, almost drowning out Adelais’s whispered warnings. “You don’t know how they think?”
 “No, they don’t tell me much. I just had a hot-dog.” Adelais wasn’t sure if it was the shortness of his attention, or a smart trick to throw someone off the current topic, but the random bits of information was actually clever. Not enough to deter the three teens, but still clever.
 “Could you help us, Hedwig?”
 Similar to her question earlier, Hedwig recoiled. “No, I’m…I’m not even supposed to be here. I stole the light from Mr. Dennis, but he’ll be back real soon and…I can’t steal the light for too long for he’ll know and get angry.” His concern was real; he knew he would get in trouble for doing someone he was told not to. Yet, the curiosity of a nine-year-old was a powerful thing. “Et cetera.”
 Looking between the three on the cots, his eyes darting back and forth, he suddenly reached back and gave Adelais’s leg a playful shove—it was stronger than that of a child, using the strength housed in the adult body he lived within. “See ya!”
 “Wait,” Casey blurted out. Hedwig stopped while still crouched at the door, reaching back to grab the doorhandle as he prepared to close it behind him. His attention was caught, however, as he glanced back at Casey.
 “Be careful, she’s smarter than the others.”
 Looking first at Casey, his eyes eventually drifted over to Adelais. The green of her eyes caught slightly in the light spilling into the room, constricting her pupils to show the ring of hazel around their center. Her lips were slightly thinned, one of the small shows of emotion she allowed. “We heard something,” Casey continued while he was paused in the doorway. “We didn’t understand it before, but now we do.”
 Carefully sliding off the cot, she situated herself in the center of the room. Still far from the door, but now in Hedwig’s direct path. The child noticed when Adelais’s eyebrows twitched down—such a small motion it was almost unseen—and remembered Dennis’s face doing the same thing when there was something he didn’t like.
 “Do you know what we heard?” Casey asked quietly, baiting him forward.
 Adelais knew what she was doing. Hedwig was a child, more easily manipulated when compared to Dennis or Patricia. Dennis scared them too much, and they had only had one encounter with Patricia. Therefore, the nine-year-old made the easier target. It was a sound strategy to try and escape, but the thought of manipulating a child made her stomach clench with discomfort.
 He wasn’t just someone pretending to be a child, this was a personality that knew nothing else. It was the same as if she had actually manipulated a little boy that had the body to match the personality. It was clear that he feared the anger of both of the adult personalities, and Casey was setting him up to take the brunt of that anger.
 The only reprieve was that they shared a body, there was no way to physically punish him.
 But she knew all about emotional and mental torture.
 Unfortunately, Hedwig was too young to see those signs and his attention was caught. “What’d you hear?”
 “Come here,” Casey prompted. “I’ll whisper it to you.”
 Giggling to himself, Hedwig cast one last glance at Adelais before he released the doorhandle. “Okay.” Keeping himself crouched down, he waddled forward on his feet while his hands cradled his knees. Adelais wanted to call him back, to stop what Casey was planning, but perhaps this could be to her advantage as well.
 Hedwig stopped just shy of Casey, ducking his head down so she could whisper into his ear.
 She couldn’t be sure if it was done on purpose, but Casey’s whisper was too low for Adelais to hear. She was probably mimicking what Adelais had done just a minute before, whispered to Hedwig about Casey. Green eyes keenly watched Casey’s face—trying to read her lips unsuccessfully—and Hedwig’s back. Whatever she whispered was short and prompted Hedwig to lean back.
 “You’re a big fibber,” he accused, the playfulness gone from his tone.
 “I never lie, Hedwig.”
 “She lies.”
 His panic was back, bringing with it the slight stutter in his words. “But…but Mr. Dennis said that he followed those two girls for four days, and he said that he knew that they were the ones that-that-that he would want.”
 Adelais knew exactly what Casey had told him. It was risky. Casey continued to whisper to him, her voice low and staying between her and Hedwig. But he wasn’t as subtle; listening to Hedwig’s reactions allowed Adelais to piece together what was whispered to him. What lies were spread.
 How to counter them.
 With the same low, waddling steps, Hedwig backed up a few paces. Putting distance between him and Casey. “N-no…Miss….Miss. Patricia said she’s not mad anymore!” His voice rose with the swell of emotion Casey’s words caused. “She-she sings to me!” Looking to Adelais caused an abrupt swell of anger at Casey to almost choke her. His face was broken and distraught, a tear tracking down his cheek. She wanted to console him.
 How often had she cried alone because she had displeased her mother? As a child, she could never understand why they hated her so much.
 “I was quiet!” He was yelling now, emotions getting the best of him. “I-I didn’t wake them, you said-you said I did nothing wrong!”
 Her body moved before she made the decision, lifting her hands toward him. He waddled forward, still babbling about being quiet, and being good, until Adelais’s chilled fingers gently stroked across his cheeks to collect the tears that fell. She shushed him softly, meant more as a calming sound than to warn him he was being loud. Sniffling strongly, he leaned into her hands as she continued to stroke her thumbs across his cheeks.
 “You’re okay, Hedwig. Don’t cry. She’s lying.”
 Casey wasn’t about to give up, assuming that the emotional response from him meant that he believed her lie. “I think Miss. Patricia’s still a little mad at you. But if we hurry, we can all get out.”
 He pulled from her hands so suddenly they remained in front of her, holding only air. “You lie,” he accused. “She said you lie, you lie!” Adelais only hoped the girls assumed he was talking about Patricia. If they knew she had put the idea in his head, the tension between them would come to a breaking point. “Mr. Dennis made this room safe—it took forever without those nosey-bodies who work here finding out. You can’t get out of here!”
 The upset had turned to panic again.
 “I have to blow my nose,” he announced before rushing from the small room with the door slamming behind him. Adelais retracted her hands as Casey called out for him, desperately trying to stop him so they could escape. But the lock clicked into place, sealing them inside. She beat Casey to the door, having been right next to it, and watched as Hedwig rushed to the other door and used the set of keys he had been carrying to unlock that one as well.
 “Who’s coming?” Marcia was the first to ask, she and Claire getting up from their cot as Casey came up behind Adelais to watch him disappear out the other door.
 “No one’s coming,” Claire tried to assure.
 “Oh, shut up,” Adelais snapped, glancing over her shoulder as Casey started to pace to the wall near the bathroom. “Clearly someone is going to come here, why else would he follow you two for four days? This wasn’t spur of the moment.”
 Claire looked ready to argue again, though there was a distinct hesitation after Adelais’s last enraged reaction. “He said something,” Casey interrupted first, placing her hand on the bare drywall. “He said something about making the room safe.”
 Finally understanding Casey’s train of thought, Claire looked around the room. The wall of the bathroom and the ceiling were both covered in bare slabs of drywall, the screws holding them in place still visible. “This is all new drywall.”
The Gift
 Summary: It started with a gift, and the end result was something extraordinary.
Characters: Sam x Reader x Dean
Word Count: 2561
A/N: This was a request from @akhuna01 during a Christmas past. I had the greatest time writing it. This girl is greedy. She has so many orgasms it’s hard to keep count (but who wouldn’t with Sam and Dean in their bed?). I’m am completely jealous of her!
A/N 2: Happy Half Christmas! Day 4 All the Info Here
Tumblr media
It was supposed to be a joke, but no one was laughing. Sam looked at the green knitted object he was holding. He lifted his eyes in your direction, eyebrows raised with a questioning expression. Dean was holding a similar gift you had made for him. His was a bright, merry holiday red. You noticed him swallow; his mouth fell slightly open, and he bit his lip. Sam's eyes caught Dean's briefly. Dean shoved his present back in the box and stood up quickly. He asked, "Anybody want eggnog?"
 Sam and Dean disappeared in the direction of the kitchen leaving you alone to look at the boxes on the table and wonder what happened. Your knitting skills weren't the greatest, but you thought it would be funny. After all, it was something you were pretty sure neither one of them had ever had before. Had they? Handmade cock socks weren't something you would give everyone, naturally, but you had known Sam and Dean for a long time.  They helped you out with a little poltergeist problem a few years back; you'd kept in touch, and you considered both of them to be close friends. To be perfectly honest, you had thought of dating both of them. Problem was, you really couldn't make up your mind.  Add to that the fact that neither of them ever asked to help you break the tie, so nothing came of that idea.
Your relationship with both of them had always been comfortable before, but now you were feeling pretty awkward and regretting your decision. Particularly since you had exaggerated the size of the socks to something most would consider to be extra large at the very least. You put your hands on one of the boxes briefly and shook your head  then got up to join the boys in the kitchen. The night was spent drinking eggnog, catching up by sharing stories, and pretending the present thing had never happened.
Later That Night
You were sitting at the desk in one of the bunker bedrooms brushing your hair preparing yourself for bed. You were no longer trying to figure out what had happened earlier; you were just relaxing, enjoying the holiday mood.  This year you actually felt like celebrating for the first time in a long time. Christmas music played in the background, and it put you in a dreamy mood.
You'd never had a perfect Christmas, never had anything close to the one that lived in your mind, the one with snow falling gently outside the window, a crackling fireplace, a tree sparkling with lights, and homemade cookies on the coffee table. What fantasy, Christmas or otherwise, would be complete without strong arms around you? You closed your eyes to picture it, and you could almost smell the cologne he was wearing.  The scent was woodsy with a touch of warm comforting musk. The man in your fantasy was tall and muscular; his voice was deep. He nibbled on your ear and whispered all the things he planned to do to you. They were wonderful, naughty, sexy, delightful things.
You took a deep breath and slipped your hand down into your panties and moved your fingers slowly through your damp folds. You imagined the touch of much bigger fingers than yours, long fingers that were thick like Sam's. You parted your legs wider to get better access. Your fingers brushed over your aching clit; it had been too long since anyone else had done it for you, and your hand moved in ever quickening small circles. Your breathing became more rapid, eyes still closed. You were so involved in moving ever closer to your climax that you didn't even hear the door open. The deep voice from your dreams became a reality, and you heard Sam say "Am I interrupting something?" You quickly pulled your hand from your underwear; your eyes popped open, and you turned toward the sound of his voice.
Your breath caught in your throat, and you could feel your walls clench around the emptiness. Sam was standing before you completely naked but for the green, knitted, very special Christmas gift you had given him over his erect penis.  You had made it so huge as a joke, but the fit was snug. He looked like something that had fallen from Mount Olympus; he was a god. You stood up stuttering,  "Sam, Sam I… ."  He walked toward you taking the ends of your hair in his hand and gazing intently at your lips. You had imagined him naked many times, and undressed him with your eyes almost as many. He hadn't noticed, or at least he pretended he didn’t. His hazel eyes caused your heart to flip in your chest. It was pounding so hard you couldn't think; you couldn't breathe. You couldn't form words.
He brushed his thumb across your cheek. "Do you want me to finish what you started?" All you could do was nod. There was absolutely nothing funny about this now. "Would you help me thank you for putting so much time and thought into my gift?” Sam tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “I'd really like it if you took it off."
Your eyes didn't leave Sam's as you reached out and wrapped your hand around his impressive length. The yarn was soft, but what lay beneath was rock hard. You pulled the sock from Sam's body earning you a moan that came from deep in his throat. You were totally aroused now, past aroused. Sam lifted your night shirt over your head and leaned in to take one of your tight nipples into his mouth. He sucked on it gently and swirled his tongue around it in tantalizing rings. Your core pulsed longing to be filled. He moved his hand to your other breast pinching, pulling, and rolling the firm little nub.  His mouth sucked your other nipple while his hand made its way down into your panties right to your throbbing little bud where your own hand had been just minutes before. His fingers felt so much better.
Your hands grabbed onto his shoulders to keep yourself steady. Your orgasm was already close. "Sam. Sam, please take them off."
He leaned in close to your ear.  "Not yet.  There's plenty of time for that later."  He moved his fingers faster, taking them away from your clit down to your opening and back again. He pushed the tip of his finger inside you, and pumped it a couple of times before going back to your throbbing clit. He was watching you; you could feel his eyes on you as your climax built in the pit of your stomach. Your nails dug into his shoulders; your nipples hardened, drawing tight.
"Sam. Sam. Sam. Gonna come. Please, please. God." He pushed two fingers inside you and quickly pulled them out again pressing them against your clit, fingers swirling. He alternated his motions driving you crazy. "Sam, I can't take anymore." He kept you right on that edge.  "Please let me come. Please. I'm so close. Sam, I'm so close."   It was building to the point of bubbling over.
 You were panting out of control now. "I want to hear you say my name, Y/N. I want to hear you say it over and over. I'm gonna make you come so many times."  Your orgasm swept over you in a huge wave, and you said nothing but Sam's name exactly like he wanted. Sam talked you through it. "You're so perfect, Y/N.  It's going to get even better. I promise. Just let it all go. You are so beautiful when you come.”
"Yes, yes, yes!" You screamed his name again squirting all over his fingers.  Sam eased his hand out of your underwear. He picked you up and placed you back down on the bed. You were still shaking from the intensity of your climax. With a swift movement, he pulled your panties all the way off. Before you came all the way down from the orgasm, his tongue was inside you. He thrust it as deep into you as he could, bringing you quickly back to your peak.  This orgasm went on and on. You looked down and saw Sam moving his tongue over you.  His fingers pushed in and found your g-spot.   “Sam!"  Your legs were spread wide, and he was making the most incredible noises. It was unbelievably sexy watching him flick his tongue over your little bundle of nerves.
 Sam's eyes found yours.  "Come again, Y/N." It was the sound of your name, the slide of his tongue, the curl of his fingers inside you. It was too much for you to hold back even though your last climax had hardly subsided. Your juices gushed from you again covering his face.
"Oh, my God.  It's incredible, Sam. I can feel it. I feel it. It's happening."
"Nice show."  Dean's voice rumbled low from the doorway.  Sam was still licking you and fucking you with his tongue. He didn't stop.  Dean was watching you come while his brother ate you out with his hand around his own dick encased in his bright red, merry holiday cock sock. He pulled off the sock to reveal his gorgeous erection. You dropped your head back against the pillow. Things started to go dark. Then you heard Dean's voice again. "I think she passed out, Sammy." Dean was holding the side of your face in his hand. "Hey there, sweethear. Are you with us?" You kissed his hand.
 Sam kissed the inside of your thigh. His fingers were still deep inside you; he added a third stretching you, pulling you open. Your words weren't frantic anymore; they were quiet. "Inside me. Please don't make me wait anymore."
Dean brushed his knuckles down your cheek. "Who do you want inside you, baby?"
You looked into his deep emerald green eyes. They were filled with a soft intensity. "I want both of you... at the same time." You'd thought of them both individually but never that way.  In that moment, you knew with all certainty that was exactly what you wanted. You didn't want to choose.  Sam licked back down your inner thigh to your core and gave you a chaste little kiss as he moved out of the way so Dean could settle between your legs.
 Sam moved around behind you and rested his back against the headboard. Your body lay back on his chest.  Dean took his cock in his hand and slid it up and down between your folds teasing you before thrusting in all the way with one stroke. Sam's mouth was next to your ear. "Do you want to come for Dean?" Sam's arms were on each side of your body, his hands holding your thighs down and your legs open. You took in a breath and let it out through your mouth. "Does he feel good?"
Your eyes rolled back into your head.  Dean was so deep. He was pumping in hard, stretching you wider than you'd ever been stretched before. You moaned and said yes. Sam's voice was husky with arousal.  "Where do you want me, Y/N?" Do you want me next to Dean, our dicks touching while we thrust into you together? Do you want me in this pretty ass of yours? Has anyone ever been inside that hole? Do you want me there?" That idea was too much for you to take. You were coming again; your hands reached for Sam behind you. Your arms wrapped around his neck. Sam brought his hands to your breasts to knead them. He bit your neck, marking you, and you pressed your hips up against Dean. Sam's fingers pinched and rolled your nipples while the sound of Dean's grunts filled your ears as he continued to thrust into you.
Sam spoke promises against your neck. "We're going to do so much more to you. You're going to come until you can't come anymore. We're going to make you come until you're too tired to beg. I know it's what you want; it's what we want too, Y/N." You were moaning loudly; Sam moaned in answer. "Come for Dean, Y/N.  Come for him like you did for me."  It felt so damn good.  This orgasm was the most intense one yet. Dean was filling you up; Sam's hands were still working your nipples.
"Kiss me, Sam."  Sam's tongue twisted and wrapped around yours. Dean maintained a steady rhythm with his thrusts."Unhhh." You moaned into Sam's mouth and tightened around Dean's dick coming in spasm after spasm. Sam moved his hands from your breasts and placed them flat on your stomach. You couldn't come completely down from your climax with Dean still thrusting inside you. You were deliciously trapped on that edge, not able to get enough. "I want more. Please. Sam?"
 Sam eased his tongue from your mouth. "Are you ready for us, Y/N?" You nodded. Sam kissed the corner of your mouth before he lifted you up to face Dean. Dean took you in his arms and leaned back far enough to expose your ass to Sam. Sam gathered some of your juices to use as lube then slipped a fingertip into your hole. He gave you time to adjust before pushing it in deeper. You started rolling your hips, and Sam put a second finger inside you. The angle was perfect for your clit to rub against Dean. Sam scissored his fingers back-and-forth.  Then, when he added a third,  you came again clenching around both of them.
Sam pulled his fingers from inside you and placed his cock against your entrance. He pushed in slowly, just the tip. It burned, and he waited. Sam kept completely still. "Are  you okay, Y/N?"
You had closed your eyes when he first entered you. You kept them closed and put your hand over his where it was resting on your waist. "Yes. Give me more, Sam." He did as you asked and started to move. The burn gave way to pleasure.  Both of them were holding you and moving inside you. When Dean pulled back, Sam pushed in. Your orgasm was building. You felt so full. Sam was filling your virgin hole; Dean's mouth was on yours. Sam played with your nipples just the way you liked. He could read you so well.
Dean's mouth was hot; he tasted like whiskey and mint. You felt like you were splitting open, impaled on two enormous cocks. Another orgasm was building. Both of them were calling out your name. You came screaming; they shattered you completely. Dean came soon after you. His dick throbbed, and he released his load into you. You melted into his arms. With just a few more thrusts, Sam spurted his hot come into you.
Sam pulled out and lay back on the bed; Dean guided your body down to the mattress. You turned in toward Sam and put your head on his shoulder. He nuzzled against you and kissed your forehead. Behind you, Dean kissed your shoulder. He put his arm over your waist bringing you close. You could feel the entire length of his warm body. "Sleep, Princess." That's exactly what you did between the two men who hadn't made you choose.
Chapter 5
Both Cassandra and Beetlejuice called after the dark-haired girl, but she had already shut the door with a forceful yank. Causing mischief was something Lydia had perfected from spending a lot of time with Beetlejuice, and while she didn’t want to admit it, she was sort of glad her roommate had brought him back. Life without her undead companion was almost getting too normal for her liking.
She knew that this day was already turning out to be a lot to handle for Cassandra, but Lydia tried not to beat herself up about how everyone had been introduced. Nothing ever went according to plan in the Deetz/Maitland household, so it was just as well that the day had already erupted into total chaos. Still, Lydia hoped that her roommate would roll with the punches and make it through the weekend relativity unscathed.
After Lydia shut the door, Beetlejuice’s demeanor changed almost instantly. He leaned casually on the end of Cassandra’s wooden bed frame, his eyes scanning her, an impish glint in his eye. His green hair was now mixed with pale yellow and light pink colorations.
“So....does your hair always do that…?” Cassandra asked awkwardly, attempting to make some semblance of a conversation. The air in the room was still unbelievably tense, even after Lydia had properly introduced the two of them. A smug look flashed across the demon’s face.
“My hair’s sorta like a mood ring,” he said matter-of-factly, picking at the dead skin around his fingernails, “This shade of yellow means that I’m curious about ya. Pretty cool, huh?” He secretly wanted to impress her, and he thought the nonchalant act would do just the trick.
“And what does pink mean?” Cassandra asked, enthralled by the swirl of hues that now adorned his head.
“That I think you’re hot, babes,” he said, raising an eyebrow. He gave her another once over as Cassandra held back an uncomfortable laugh, taken aback at how forward he was.
“Oh, I’m sure you say that to all the girls you manhandle after they unwittingly unleash you into the mortal realm,” she said casually, doing her best to hide her discomfort with him. She did not take getting hit on well by living men, let alone men that had been dead for probably decades. Beetlejuice raised his eyebrows, wrongly suspecting that she was flirting back.
“What, are ya talking about that kiss?” he said innocently, his stocky frame inching closer to her, “Look, new girl, that was just a gesture of appreciation. You should be flattered.” Cassandra rolled her eyes, frustrated with the demon’s lack of self-awareness.
“Okay, first off, my name is Cassandra,” she said childishly, “Second, I’m not flattered by you fucking with me. The last hour of my life has been insane, and I really don’t need your help making it any crazier.” Beetlejuice felt the venom in her tone, but soldiered on until she cracked. Breathers like her always did, and he knew she was just putting on a front to seem tougher than she really was.
“Listen, babes, you gotta relax a little. Take a walk on the undead side,” he purred, “Why don’t I show ya—?” He stopped her pacing and grabbed her waist. Cassandra let out a small yelp of anger, pushing him away and plopping onto the bed. The comforter was now decidedly dirtier since the demon had laid on it, but she didn’t care. Hot tears of infuriation filled her eyes.
“Look, the last thing I want to do is get down and dirty with some dead guy that just appeared in my room and has been messing with me from the second I got here,” she said, in a quiet but sharp tone, “So please, for the love of all that is good and decent, could you, just, leave?” Instantly the pink and yellow swirls in his hair were mixed with a deep red and blue. Beetlejuice stared angrily at the floor, not used to being shot down so pointedly. This kind of rejection brought up emotions he wasn’t quite keen on revisiting, but he was too prideful to admit he had gone too far.
“Fine,” he muttered, not bothering to make eye contact with the already irked woman, “You’re not my type anyways, sweetheart. Guess I didn’t know Lydia had such a stuck up, goody-two-shoes breather for a roommate. See ya around, new girl.” With that he vanished from the room, a tiny *pop* emanating from the spot where he stood.
Cassandra let out another angry cry, overwhelmed with the day’s events. She understood where Lydia coming from, leaving the two of them together to get better acquainted. After all she was right: Cassandra was the one that stupidly summoned him. But it clearly didn’t occur to her that Beetlejuice would go back to his old self faster than lightning, making Cassandra incredibly uneasy in the process. A few moments later, a soft knock on the door broke her out of her emotional spiraling.
“Cassandra? It’s Barbara,” the blonde woman said softly, a tiny crack between the door and its frame forming, “Everything okay?” Cassandra quickly wiped away a small tear and cleared her throat.
“Uh, yeah, yeah everything is fine,” she said unconvincingly. Barbara took that as an invitation to open up the door fully and enter the guest room, Adam following quietly behind her. “I just, uh, met another dead person in this house. The guy who looks homeless and smells like a sewer.”
“Beetlejuice,” the couple deadpanned in tandem. Adam groaned in slight frustration, rubbing the back of his neck at the thought of the raucous demon back in his former home.
“Of course, of course he would be back here,” he said as Barbara rubbed his shoulders, attempting to relax him, “After we had just cleaned up from his last mess...did Lydia summon him?” Adam’s expression softened when he saw the guilt on Cassandra’s face. She had just met these people and had now accidentally freed an entity they clearly didn’t have much fondness for.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t—” Cassandra let a few frustrated tears fall from her eyes, not able to even look up at the couple. Barbara sat down next to her on the bed, placing her hand on top of Cassandra’s. The living woman felt no sensation of being touched, but appreciated the gesture of comfort.
“It’s okay, honey,” Barbara said genuinely, her kind face illuminating the gloomy air in the room, “We aren’t upset with you, right Adam?” The woman nudged her husband quite forcefully, catching him slightly off-guard.
“No, no of course not,” Adam added, chuckling slightly, “It’s just, Beetlejuice can sometimes be...well, a handful.”
“Really?” Cassandra sniffed, drying her tears, “I hadn’t noticed.” The three of them cracked small smiles, slightly easing the disquieting air that hung in the room, “Is he always such a dick?” Barbara and Adam looked at each other, silently confirming the living woman’s question. Cassandra sighed. Not two hours into being in this house, and she had met three dead people and had already pissed off the most irritating of them all.
The Maitlands were at least acting civil towards her, even treating her with kindness. But there was something about Beetlejuice that made Cassandra’s temperature rise. The condescending smirk, the overzealous grabbiness, the complete unawareness of social cues...it all added up to a huge pain in the ass that she was going to have to deal with for the entire weekend.
‘You have to be nice,’ Cassandra thought, ‘For Lydia. He’s best friends with Lydia, and you need to be nice. Just for the weekend. And then you’ll never have to see that creep again.’ “Try and stick it out, just for a few days,” Barbara said sweetly, “He really isn’t that bad when you get to know him.” Adam smiled unconvincingly, doing nothing to quell Cassandra’s discomfort.
“Yeah, I’m sure you’re right,” she said, smiling as genuinely as she could muster, “I still have a little more settling in to do, but I’ll see you guys downstairs soon, okay?” The two ghosts nodded and disappeared in a flash, leaving the living woman alone once again. Cassandra closed her eyes yet again, finding it easier to process the events that had transpired since she had entered the house. She just had to accept that this was what Lydia’s world was like, even though she had no idea it existed.
She couldn’t blame Lydia for not telling her all these years, but she was still shocked to know that her best friend and roommate had successfully kept this from her for so long. A wave of emotions crashed down on her: hurt, anger, confusion, curiosity, excitement even. How was she supposed to make it through the rest of this trip without feeling like a mental patient? She felt a tightness in her chest, a telltale sign her anxiety had taken hold of her psyche.
Beetlejuice materialized in the room only seconds after the Maitlands vanished, watching her intently. Now he was intentionally making his presence unknown so he could further survey the damage without causing another scene. His hair was now a swirl of purple and red, creating a sea of maroon locks that adorned his head. He watched as Cassandra steadied her breathing and closed her eyes, attempting to gain her composure. She let a few stress-induced tears escape from her eyes but quickly brushed them away, as she shook her head and moved to unzip her duffel bag. Beetlejuice felt a twinge of guilt, a blue streak reappearing in his hair. He hadn’t met anyone new since he infiltrated the Maitlands’ home all those years ago, and the prospect of fresh meat to torment was too difficult to pass up. He feared he had gone too far, but those thoughts were replaced by annoyance and disdain.
‘Who does this breather think she is?’ he thought angrily, stewing in the corner of the room, still eyeing Cassandra as she methodically placed her clothes in an empty dresser, ‘Since when did Lydia get a new best friend? And how could that best friend possibly be a bigger mess than I am?!’
In all of his years as a bio-exorcist, Beetlejuice had never been turned down by a human so abruptly. Well, other than Lydia of course, but that was a different situation entirely. When it came to consenting adult breathers, Beetlejuice had them on their backs in no time. At their core, he knew that they loved the idea of breaking the rules, and getting pleasured by a demon was about the most sinful thing imaginable.
But this one? This trembling, crying, self-conscious mess that stood before him? She had made it very clear she wanted nothing to do with him, try as he might to be as friendly as he possibly could with her, though his definition of friendly was certainly more abrasive and forward than the average person’s, living or dead.
And the thought that this was the person Lydia was now spending all of her time with and not goofing off with him? Well, that only damaged Beetlejuice’s bruised ego even more. What made her so goddamn special?
Beetlejuice could feel himself growing more and more contemptuous towards Cassandra, but decided to at least attempt to be civil towards her, for Lydia’s sake. He was her best friend after all, and he wasn’t going to let this annoying breather change that over the course of one weekend.
Of course, that didn’t mean he couldn’t have a little fun when Lyds wasn’t around...
