I like Nepeta's perspective here, that a timeline is made of 'what lets you exist'. She's saying, I think, that timelines are made out of reality - out of the firmament that distinguishes the multiverse from the Furthest Ring.

Her imagery suggests that she understands at least the basics of her world's deeper mechanics, despite not actually using this knowledge during her time on-panel. I would have liked to learn more about her perspective, but we're almost out of time. From where we're sitting, Nepeta's already dead.

I think Nepeta is simply a victim of Homestuck's enormous character roster. Ever since Hivebent started, it's become increasingly obvious that there are some 'important' trolls, and some less important ones. This isn't a bad thing - it's just how fiction works, and it would be borderline impossible to juggle rich, satisfying, 8000-page arcs for sixteen primary characters, no matter how quickly you're putting up panels.

Nepeta simply isn't a protagonist. She's a total sweetheart, but in the end, she didn't make the cut.

A/N: this is such a good fic imo with an amazing lackluster ending, cause i'm real like that. I’m just getting my mojo back. I could have made this more happy but i’ve got the angst bug, hope you don't mind anon. also its not proofread, thats for nerds.

Johnny Cage knew how dangerous this was. Knew how quickly one fight in the battle to protect Earthrealm could kill someone. So when you joined the team he never even kept you on his radar. He didn’t consider you his type enough to even bother flirting when he knew it was only a matter of time until this battle took either one of you. 

You had seen the way he flirted with damn near every female who crossed his path, even when they were trying to kill him. It bothered you sometimes, the way he barely even looked in your direction, as if you were invisible. You even went to Kenshi about it, asking if you had done something to offend Johnny but even Kenshi didn’t have any clue what was going on with him. You carried on with training, occasionally going on missions with the other protectors of earthrealm. It eventually became second nature to fight, getting used to being ambushed by Shao Kahn’s warriors. You managed to be friends with Johnny eventually, never quite understanding why he never flirted with you but sometimes liking that he didn’t. 

You managed to survive every mission, sometimes with injury sometimes not. You eventually got used to the everyday pain of  being a protector. The stabs, the cauterizations, the stitches. So it was a surprise when one day you almost didn’t make it. It was just another mission, nothing extreme. Nothing you and the others couldn't handle. In Fact it was one that all of you should've gotten out of without a single scratch. You somehow ended up with numerous deadly wounds and no back up besides Johnny. 

You had never been on his radar.. ever. Years of knowing you and he just never truly noticed you. Sure he knew you very well, you were friends. He would even say the two of you were close. Yet he had never noticed you in the way he did every other woman. So why does he feel this way now? After he's watched you come to the brink of death at the hands of Mileena, does he decide he's got a crush on you? It's all panic from the moment you call his name in anguish as Mileena bit a chunk out of your side. All your other injuries were superficial things he could patch up for now and have the medics fix completely when you got back to the others. Now you had organs showing and he didn't know what to do. 

He's just a movie star, he never should've been involved in any of this and right now it shows. Nothing but dread fills his body as he watches Mileena run off. He assumed she thought you'd be dead soon. Yet, he ran to you, adrenaline flowing so hard it might as well have been going into his soul. He barely ever paid attention when one of the others attempted to teach him basic medical procedures, he didn't need to know he was always with someone who did and now you were going to suffer the consequences. He did the best he could, practically ripping his shirt off and wrapping it around the wound, ignoring your screams as he tightened it as hard as he could.

In this moment he was glad for all the grueling workouts he had gone through, all the extra training Kenshi and Raiden made him go through. Comms were down meaning Johnny would have to carry you back to base. He could only hope someone would be there, that he could make it in time. You were unconscious blood soaking his skin even through the shirt wrapped around your wounds. He was keeping pressure on the bite the best he could as he ran for the base. You had traveled so far and with comms down he couldn't even be sure any of the medics would be ready for you. 

He didn't think you could hear him as he prayed to any god that would listen. As he asked why now. Why would he love you so much now as he runs with you dying in his arms. He also didn't think those prayers would work, that he would make it to base. 

He stayed by your side hoping you would wake up, that you would heal. There was none of Raiden's magic to help you, the god had gone on his own mission. The medics had done everything and now it was just a big game of waiting to see what would happen. So he waited. 

It was almost two months before you woke up from the coma, he honestly didn't expect you to wake up. Raiden had come back and healed what he could yet you stayed unconscious. During those two months Johnny stayed at your bedside, telling you what was happening around base and how the war was going. 

You woke up slowly, not shocked to see Johnny half asleep in the chair beside your bed. 

“Did you mean it?” you asked, slowly turning towards him. 

He startled awake, nearly falling out of the chair and causing you to giggle. A shock of pain ran through your side and you winced, gently grabbing it.

“Careful, it's gonna be sore for a while, Mileena got a pretty good bite out of you”  he says after he recovers, coming to stand beside you “Did I mean what?”

“Everything you’ve been saying. It's gotta be multiple times a day you say you wish you could take my spot…..that you love me” you explain, twiddling with the blanket that had been draped over you, barely even making eye contact with him. 

He nearly chokes on air, his entire face going red. “You heard all of that?” 

“Every bit of it.” you smile softly, looking up at him. “Did you mean it?”

He sighs, scooting closer and holding your hand “Every bit of it” he says, smiling and kissing your hand.

Again it takes alot to get him pissed if he realizes he getting to that level of anger he'll excuse himself take some breaths smoke like 3 cigars to get his composure together and then he'll address the problem

He's usually just passive aggressive and says some really petty shit

Now he's a silent crier with the occasional sniffer. He's stroke his beard and rub his face with a groan. He hide his face and just silently sit there until he gets his composure. He aslo does breathing exercises to calm him down

When he's pissed of he'll get really quiet and shit himself off. He does the "im fine" and if you keep prodding at him he'll blow up in a yelling fit.

Hes a angry crier like full blow screaming crying punching things. Hes a whole hurricane when he's MAD

Now he will never lay a finger on anyone he loves if your in the middle of an argument and he starts forming tears he'll storm off and find something to punch. He keeps a punching bag around so that he doesn't have to hurt himself on anything. he wont punch the walls because he'd be the one fixing it.

He one time got so pissed he dissapeard and ghost found him curled up by a tree that had obviously taken a beating. his knuckles will be bleeding and bruised. He'll be a sobbing mess hyperventilating, hiccuping, coughing ghost would have to calm him down and try to get him leveled

Hes the screamer type crier he'll be holding something just wailing. If you ask him whats wrong he will just pull you in a hug and just let it loose.

(Alright so in the comics he was in a abusive household where his dad would beat his mom and he would terrorize him with new foreign animals and he witnessed his dad murder a woman at a concert and he just told him to laugh it off. He was captured and tortured to near death being buried with his comrad so he has MAJOR PTSD from it so this kind of falls into the senario)

He tries HARD to not loose his composure in fear that he will be like his dad and loose his shit

Hes goes quiet and shuts himself off. Like price he'll excuse himself and get his composure together. He raises his voice and will warn you that you're pissing him off and to stop immediately. If you don't stop he'll tell you "that's enough!" And storm off

His whole aura will change and you can feel the anger radiate off of him. He's the type to go "its fine don't worry about it" if you ask before storming off to somewhere quiet

so theres this trauma response where if someone you know where to get hurt or something just makes you snap you start laughing i feel like ghost has that especially in the comics he has a ptsd attack and just starts laughing

When he has an attack he'l start with a chuckle and then it just mores into a sick laugh and itll just turn into him full blown sobbing and laughing at the same time

He's also a silent crier so if he's severly overstimulated he'l lie down and his eyes will start becoming waterfalls. No sniffles he just stares while his eyes soak the floor

He RANTS when he's pissed the fuck off. He will call you out in your bullshit and roast the fuck outta you. he does the hand clap, waves his hands in the air everything. He's a bery level headed person but if you say something that pushes that button right be ready for a blow up

He doesnt get violent whats so ever unless the person provokes it. His dad (price lol) taught him to not start a fight but finish it and he damn well finish one.

He super sarcastic when he's irritated and is passive aggressive

When he cries he has tears streaming down his face and he does the quiet sobs that will turn into hiccups and him rubbing his eyes constantly

He doesnt cry that much (except for weddings hes a sucker for them) and he usually doesnt show anyone that he's crying (except for the weddings 😂)

Metroid dread has consumed my life for the past 2 days. Its now one of my favourite games ever made. There's a few problems with it mainly the world not being as memorable and easy to navigate as tallon IV in metroid prime but it doesn't matter given how amazing the game is.

I could rant about it for ages but I'll just talk about my 3 favourite things. Massive spoilers for merroid dread.

1. Whoever came up with the idea of letting Samus smack the shit out of your enemies and parrying them didn't get paid enough. Once you learn how to parry basic enemies basically become energy and missile dispensaries. Its so satisfying to parry something especially emmi's since its so hard to parry them. Its also extremely cathartic to parry a boss and start a cutscene where you can just pump missiles into them. Which conveniently leads into.

2. Spectacle. Most bossfights are so cool especially when you parry them and get a bunch of free shots in as samus in the curscene that plays does a bunch of cool flips or rides a massive monster and holds her blaster to their forehead to pump endless missiles into them while they writhe around trying to toss her off. The only thing that could make it better is if the music was more hype like metal gear rising revengeance (which is another game I have to get around to)

And how could I not mention the final bossfight too. The fight with Ravenbeak is so damn cool with it being like a dance with samus and him doing cool flips around each other. He summons black holes and stars and the climax as.... this actually goes with point 3 as well so we'll get to that.

3. Samus is portrayed so well in this game and conveys so much personality even though she says like one sentence in chozo near the middle of the game and at the end of the game she starts screaming madly.

When she meets kraid she is so clearly sick of him that as soon as he roars she shoots him in the mouth. Basically just saying "let's get this over with"

Her conversation with the friendly chozo in the middle of the game as we get a hell of a lore dump and the only words she says in the entire game being "don't worry I'll finish it" pretty sure i paraphrased that but it conveys so much. By having no other words in the game spoken by samus it gives these words so much power. She is legitimately concerned for this chozo and when he is killed she is genuinely sad but it has to wait. Because she has a job to do....and an annoying enemy to kill. (Seriously those chozo bots that jump you are so annoying. )

There's so much more I could say about her characterization in the game and that one scene alone but I wanna talk about the final fight again.

My jaw dropped when she was nearly dead as Ravenbeak choked the life out of her and then she just started screaming like a mad woman and drained the power from the flying fortress making it crash down onto the ground as she beat him up and continued to scream. It was so badass and yet so funny and I was just saying holy shit the entire time. Peak character.

And then the final bit against raven beak where he gets infected with the x parasite. And samus has her new metroid suit which looks freaky and organic and thats the point. She was pushed to this point and now she's basically an energy vampire. Also nothing quite like obliterating your foe with a massive fucking laser to the face.

Of course the cool escape sequence where I barely got back to my ship on time with like 10 seconds to spare. (BTW samus keeps hitting the self destruct button every planet has for some reason. Isnt this like the 6th planet she's destroyed? Why do they keep having to be destroyed and by what?)

Samus gets control of her metroid powers again before escaping and this actually brings me to a point i like about the game. It doesn't reveal there was actually more metroids because they're the series namesake. They stay extinct. All except for samus. And its revealed that metroid means ultimate warrior in chozo. So samus is the metroid now in all meanings of the word. She had metroid dna and is the ultimate warrior of the chozo. Taking the name if the franchise for herself. So next time your grandma sees you playing metroid and points to samus saying "that man's metroid isn't he?" She's half right now.

Anyway my three simple points ballooned way out of my control. Go play metroid dread. Go play every metroid game you can. Which isn't much if you only have a switch but the two metroid games it has are peak.

10:36 A.M. Aaron Davis's Funeral - Miles' POV ________________________________________________________________

"Thank you for coming." Miles watched as his mom quietly whispered her thanks to the numerous family members approaching them with their kind words and back pats. He forced a smile as a woman he didn't even know cupped his face in her hands, her condolences barely audible over the loud murmurs of the rest of the funeral crowd. The cold Brooklyn breeze sent shivers down his spine, his thin suit coat doing little to prevent the goosebumps from rapidly spreading across his skin.

It was a gloomy day, dark clouds on the horizon blocking the sun, the inevitable chance of pouring rainfall growing closer and closer as the wind pushed the overcast towards the funeral service. It had been exactly one week and two days since his Uncle Aaron's sudden death. The cops, well Miles' dad Jeff, had done a good job covering up his uncle's involvement in the collider sequence that generated the tens of tiny earthquakes, shaking New York to its core and leading to thousands worth of property damage. It was as if the Prowler had never existed. They said that his uncle died during one of the earthquakes, trapped under the rubble while trying to help evacuate a neighborhood but Miles knew better.

He knew the truth. He knew that his uncle wasn't a good guy. He knew that he'd been working with Kingpin. He knew about the Sinister Six. But worse than all the rest, he knew that it was his fault his uncle was dead. Because if he hadn't been bit by that damn spider, Aaron Davis would still be alive.

"Dear friends and family, we gather here today in grief and love to remember the life of Aaron Davis and to support one another during this difficult time. As we come together, let us take a moment to offer a prayer of comfort, healing, and strength..."

It was starting. Miles quickly took a seat next to his mom who was silently dabbing the corner of her eye with a small, white napkin. She put her hand on top of Miles' squeezing gently and shooting him a slight smile before they both turned their heads to look back over at his father, who was approaching the podium to give his farewell speech. Miles watched as his father pulled out what looked like a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket, looked at it for a moment, and then shoved it back in with a sigh. He placed his hands on both sides of the microphone, eliciting a small, high-pitched screech, evoking subtle winces among the crowd.

His dad cleared his throat, and began to speak, his voice wavering slightly with every change in tone. It was hard for him, probably harder than it was for Miles. Miles couldn't help but feel a little proud of his dad for being able to stand up there and talk about the man that they'd lost, because he knew that if he himself tried to go up there, he'd break down and never be able to build himself back up again.

"Aaron was my baby brother. But more than that, he was my best friend." His dad chuckled slightly, memories flooding his mind as he continued, "I remember when we were young, how the two of us would go out causing trouble like we were invincible. Like nothing could break us..."

As Miles's focus slowly wavered, he felt his father's voice becoming more and more muffled. Miles' mind was overwhelmed by unwelcome thoughts, flooding his senses and making his swallowing sharper and his eyes heavier. If I hadn't been bit...would he still be here today? He closed his eyes quickly, to prevent himself from breaking down right there, swallowing back his tears before opening them again and looking back at his father. If I hadn't been followed...would he have survived?

If I'd shook him off my path that day, he would've never realized that I was going to Aunt May's house. And he wouldn't have caught me. And I wouldn't have taken my mask off. And he wouldn't have been shot.

Miles heard clapping and opened his eyes again, forcing a smile onto his face and clapping along with everyone else while his dad sat down in the seat next to him. Another person went up to the stand, someone Miles didn't know. As the person began to talk, Miles felt his mind wandering again, back to those horrible, horrible thoughts. But there was a hint of truth behind them, wasn't there? If I hadn't-

He felt a tingling sensation in his body, the hairs on his arms standing up and a weird, almost nauseating feeling entering the front of his forehead. His spider-sense. It was detecting something.

It makes you giggle but it also makes it hard to walk.

• he blushes really easy, so when you come up behind him while he’s in the kitchen and kiss his cheek, his whole face turns a bright red.

•He doesn’t want you to feel wierd about Haley or anything they had in the past. He offered to cut contact with her completely but farmer was obvs like “um no bae thats ur friend i dont want u to isolate urself.” He doesn’t say anything else and simply kisses you all over your face because he was so scared that you wouldn’t trust him around her, but that’s still his best friend. Yours and Haley’s relationship is a teeny bit rocky though.

• When you first got married he was a god aweful cook. You came home multiple times to the house smelling like burnt something and all the windows open to try and air it out. Your husband was sat at your kitchen table, head in his hands, absolutely defeated because he almost burned your house down and died over an omelette. Part Five . Ending

W! Violence

Summary: reader has been trying to escape the trials since she arrived. One night she stumbles along a house that is out of the way . It is occupied by Leland Coyle and he makes a deal with her: keep his house clean with dinner every night and you can stay here.

The ending to my little story. If you read along i hope you enjoyed ♥️

In the morning Coyle woke up first like he always did to see you asleep cuddled up with him, dammit this leaving everyday is pissing him off, leaving you all alone like this.. And last night.. Finally he knew why you had a sudden mood change. You wanted to leave, even if you said you did not want to , he knew you did. You missed the sun, the fresh air… the clouds. The man groaned as he got up and out of the old bed feeling heavy and not up for the day, hopefully it would be over soon so he could get back to you.. Just to do it all again tomorrow.

A bit later you wake up to an empty house, a dark fake sky, and the smell of death lingering all around you. Another day in this place, the never ending trial. Slowly you get up rudding an eye wondering how Coyle is doing, you just wanted him here everyday with you to keep you safe, watch movies with him and ask him to help you sew. With a sigh you dragged yourself downstairs skipping breakfast but still filled out the note asking for basic supplies and pulling in the basket from the previous note, you spent the day sewing some placemats for the table when a knock at the door scared you right to your bones.

Should you?! Who could it be? Why would someone be here?! You were scared, Coyle was not here. “Regent 47? Its Easterman i'd like to talk !” yelled the voice on the other side of the door. “Uhm..” your heart was beating in your chest now ringing in your ears making it hard to think. With caution you got up from the table to go open the door slowly to see Easterman and two large men behind him. He smiled waving and you just stared at this nicely dressed man. “There you are! We were worried about you, thought you were dead! “ beamed the man “ quite the little home you have here, “ You just started, unable to say anything at all. What could he possibly want? “Uhm..” the man held his hand up stopping you. “No need for an explanation, ive been observing you these past few days, are you alright? You have looked so sad lately” your eyes grew big . of course he had been watching .. cameras were everywhere…”y-yes… i .. just miss the sun i guess… Easterman i ..” he placed his hand on the door scarring you. “I'm sure you do Regent. Thats why im here, i have a proposition for you: come live with me, outside these trials, a nice big clean house, all the yard you could want to sit in the sun, you could be my little housekeeper instead of that damn Primes” a .. a way out but.. “What about Coyle? What will he do?” you asked him , trying to push the door back onto Easterman to close it but his grip was too firm. “He will be all alone again ….” the look on Eastermans face changed from happy to a little angry, his brow furrowed and he looked to be grinding his teeth a bit. “Hes a Prime , they dont have feelings Regent 47, who cares? Come live with me. I promise the nights with me will be so much better than that night with that damn cop” you stepped back letting go of the door allowing Easterman and his men to let themselves into the little house you made into a home. “You.. you saw…” you were speechless right now.. Why..how.. “Saw you riding his dick like you loved it? Many times.. Fucking slut im not asking again.” “please..get out.. Im going to ask you to leave.. “ Eastermans men grabbed you, bringing you to him, knocking over the little table in the process. “Oh Regent, this house was never yours, its mine. Everything in here is .. mine. And i'm going to make sure you understand that.” before you could say anything you were knocked out and taken out of the house.

Meanwhile, Coyles day was anything but exciting, he wanted to be with you dammit. On the way home Coyle was thinking of something, anything he could do to make you happy, maybe he could try to make dinner? Clean something? The man puffed heavily into his smoke feeling more and more irritated. “Hm? Whys the door open?” Coyle asked as the house got closer into view. He rushed up the steps looking all around. “Sweetness? “ he asked, going in to see the table flipped over and the sewing machine stabbing a needle into the table over and over. “Not like her to leave this on.” he was growing uneasy and worried. Coyle made his way back to the table flipping it back over seeing everything on the ground spread out. His head shot back up to the open door when he realized. “Sweetness…. Oh fuck.”

You woke up to a bright light shining on you and a headache. The room you were in was not the house.. It looked like a circus with mannequins everywhere. You tried to get up but the chain around your neck was making it difficult. The chain was attached to the floor and your hands were zip tied. “Look whos awake!!” yelled an excited voice. The man came into view and you shrunk into the dirty wall screaming for your life. It was Barbi , how?! Why?! “So ya think ya can just say no to the boss eh?” he stomped over kicking you in the stomach onto your back so he could stand over you . “lucky for me he said I could do whatever I wanted to ya! I hope ya like my friend here, “ he waved his shotgun around . “cuz its going inside ya!” he laughed as he continued to beat on you while laughing. Coyle was checking everywhere he could around the trials for you, you had to be somewhere, where were you?! He was growing panicked and not thinking clearly, Gooseberry found Coyle yelling and swearing up the black walls and rushed over to shake him. “Coyle! Easy! Ya lookin for your girl right?” the man turned to the woman pulling his sunglasses off “where.. Where is she Gooseberry” the woman pouted as she pointed to the tall building on their right. “Shes in there Coyle, but I cannot go with you” she told him, a little sad. Coyle took off for the building busting the door open to see a long hallway, your screams filled his ears making him shake in his boots. “Sweetness” he ran all the way down the hallway to see Barbi pulling at your pants trying to get them off you , he shoved the man off you taking his electric prod out to defend you. Your eyes were half swollen but you knew it was Coyle, the man shocked Barbi and brought his attention back to you to see you being lifted up by the Skinnerman so he could spray psychosis into your face. He ran away soon after and you started screaming as loud as you could, feeling its effect take over. Barbi was getting up and Coyle needed to find a way to free you , just as the man was about to grab Coyle a stun was sent his way hitting his back stopping the man in his tracks. Coyle quickly grabbed hold of you pulling you over his shoulder. “Where the fuck am i suppose to go” Coyle asked the two regents, you were a shaking heaving mess right now, bleeding, battered, bruised. “The way you came in, we have been doing some snooping, follow the twisted trees there's a gate, take the car outside, we rigged it, should work” Joy told the man as she pulled her stun out as well. “Please go, “ Mika said looking at Coyle, “we will be fine” Coyle handed the man his electric prod and held onto you with both hands as he rushed out of the room leaving the two regents alone with the Primes.

The car was right where they said it was and it was already on, quickly Coyle got in setting you in the passenger side , he sped off leaving the trials behind as he followed the trees, trying his best to doge garbage and what not, a gate was coming into view now. “Sweetness hold onto me” he told you. You felt all around whimpering, everything hurt, you could half see and wanted everything to just end. Your hands locked around Coyles arm as he drove through the gate hitting some security guards and broke through a double door. Both of you gasped and you had closed your eyes when it happened. The car evened out and Coyle slowly went down to a steady speed. “Sweetness… sweetness look..” Coyle said , shaking his arm around. You peaked feeling a harsh ray in your eye. “Ah.. ugn..” lifting your hand you realized it was the sun, the sky was visible… the clouds.. The air in your face.. The fresh air. You were out… you made it… you both did. Coyle placed his hand on your lap while he drove, taking one final look in the rearview mirror.

Little drabble to close out the story

*you and Coyle had settled into a tiny house a few states over. As soon as Coyle figured out where he was he decided to get great distance between him and the trials.

*a few days you were living in the car or sneaking into Hotels. Coyle had to bandage you up and keep you calm and quiet. The psychosis was gone but you were still very jittery and scared of everything around you.

*he requested help from the state and was given special treatment for his time in the service and how broken you were. You were unable to work because of the trauma .

*Coyle built the house ok the country side away from everyone and everything. No neighbors, no city, just acres of land the state owned .

*he set the house up just like the one in the trials for you so you would feel a sense of familiarity. He also set up a fence around the house

*you had gotten better but still were very anxious at times, always checking around your home. Leaving little night lights on at night and following Coyle around if you felt extra scared

* every morning, evening, and before you went to bed Coyle would check the perimeter outside the house. Every single day. He never found anything or anyone but that did not stop him from checking .

*Every monday the state would drop off supplies at the door from the mail. All you had to do was fill out the flyers they gave you and send em out every friday in the mailbox. It brought a sense of calmness to you , and it reminded you of the trial house

*the backyard was full of flowers, vegetable gardens and a little pond that ducks liked to swim in. You loved sitting outside during the day just staring at the yard and the sky

*Everynight after Coyle was done checking things you would both snuggle in the bed watching a tape .

What would Homesick react if Y/n is a total psycho, who has no whims killing or letting some people die? Like somehow someway, they got attached to Wally and saw him as a good friend, and because they only care about his well-being and starvation, and didn't care about some other people's lives, they lured people into the woods as Wally's food. If You actively lures people into the woods and Wally found out, he'd be HORRIFIED, I think, he'd be scared of you, HELL he's already scared of himself!

Not only are you luring people in, but you're making HIM kill them, wiping the blood clean off of your hands, even worse if he knew you're doing this because you don't care about other people's well being but him, this is like a reverse Yandere type of thing!

that sort of betrayal would crush him so hard, he loves you, but DAMN, what a way to make him go through a spiral!

Now kidnapping is another thing, as mentionned before, he'd rather YOU kill them yourself rather than having him do it, mind you, releasing Hunter to do the job is PAINFUL, it tugs at his stitches and stretches his felt in a matter of minutes!

And if he DOES release him, he could also hurt YOU, you do not want to come across him while he's eating someone, that guy is FERALLLLL

But seeing someone tied up, maybe with a bag over their head-

(and that's being merciful, because they don't have the pain and fear of seeing a monster like him in front of their own eyes)

-begging for mercy, especially if the victim doesn't have a bag and staring back at him crying, squirming and struggling to break free, would be devastating, he already has a hard time looking at them through Hunter's eyes when they get captured, but here that person can't even defend themselves to even TRY to escape!

Why would you make him go through such a painful process?

Now let's say you DO bring a dead person over to him, he'd be terrified still, because that means you also have the capability of hurting innocents without any remorse...-

(also depends how long the person has been dead for, the longer it is, the less energy they have, bringing a carcass thats been sitting there for over months would be absolutely useless, reminder the way food works for hunter is different from how reagular puppets work, and even then, the way food works for puppets is different from how it works from humans! Atleast in my headcanons on puppet anatomy)

-he'd still eat them though, because he would not want the person's death to go in vain, and he'd be on board with suffering less because of the side effects of starvation-

Obviously he would plead with you to not do it again, not to care for that type of stuff for him

today has mostly been about companions and gosh i love each and every one of them. i've officially recruited the whole team and spent a bit of time with all of them.

before i got to taash, i did some stuff with davrin, and had a little emotional moment over a gameplay mechanic because it hurt to use neve's ability while she wasnt with me :(

i wouldnt have been surprised if it was unavailable until she returned, so while this is probably just a matter of keeping the gameplay straightforward and not locking out a quest until later, it felt like it meant she was still with us in spirit T_T i can be sentimental sometimes

have been rotating davrin in my mind a bit because he was initially pushed aside for the immediate all hell breaks loose of minrathous vs. treviso. he's a bit reserved so i realized it takes some intentional thought to understand him more and made myself emotional about the fact that he lost two fellow wardens he could call friends, who he was working closely with while they trained the griffons, and he doesn't let himself react to that at all. he says it himself in a conversation after: being a warden means death happens. he had urgent things to attend to, he never let himself experience the grief for more than a second :( and in a metaphorical sense, he has kind of adopted an orphan. the people who were caring for assan are dead and now he has this responsibility on his shoulders unexpectedly. he doesn't feel like he's good at this, he didn't ask to do this, but he cares about the griffons sooo much and its his duty to protect them ough... i also LOVE his reasoning for the wood carvings... making accurate portrayals of monsters to teach future generations, thats so fuckin good

this dialogue is amazing, especially with my rook's backstory:

from the bits and pieces ive heard about taash, i assumed they/them pronouns but that hasn't come up at all so i'm not entirely sure what to use atm! i did later on get that one bit of dialogue from taash's mom about how taash "acts like a man sometimes" so maybe it's being built up and we'll talk about it later? i think i'll use they/them until i know what the deal is

so, isabela is looking amazing and i was delighted to see her. completely decked out in gold and with a kickass hat, as she should be <3

then neve returned and she was fairly understanding, all things considered ;w; she's a bit distant with me and doesn't wanna talk about it for now but shes baaack

loved this hehe taash and emmrich have hilarious banter; took them back to the necropolis for some side quests and it was so funny. one of the first ones i got was taash telling emmrich not to do "weird stuff" with their body if they died and that rook would get their body sdfgmf

im also loving emmrich and bellara's relationship. how excited she was to meet him, how he's insisting she doesnt need to be formal with him, how theyre talking shop together, and emmrich is looking out for her, making sure she's resting.... blessed

another i liked a lot, less for being funny, more for what it says about taash and the brutal venatori lore. damn dude

as per my usual tendencies, i've been doing everything except the main quest. spent a bit of time in the catacombs and in rivain, exploring, looting, doing side quests. i love it uvu just experiencing these new places and being a completionist about it. returned to dock town to see how messed up it is, and it was definitely hard to see the shadow dragons' base torn apart and splattered with blood. the mood on the street is rough, for real. i'm glad i took neve and davrin, feel like they were the best for it, neve because this is her home and i want to provide whatever support i can with her, and davrin because there was blight to deal with. i just love how impactful it can be to take certain companions on certain quests. i always take the ones who are closest to either the location or what we're doing even if it isnt required (like taking bellara on emmrich's recruitment since she's the one who got in contact)

did taash's first personal quest with feeding the birds, it was fantastic. love learning more about my companions. the bit about being multicultural really resonated as well. being a qunari rook in general here adds a lot, but especially with my own added backstory

had to stop and eat, then nap lmao but im meeting morrigan next, then i'm eager to see more of the anderfels (plus thats where all the next tough bosses are >:3 im comin for them)

Thats a wonderful question, and while i will get into the simmilarities to why they are simmilar, a were-bat is actually much more reliated to a werewolf, hence the were prefix.

I did try to delve into the bat as much as possible, so example with the ears he cant handle loud high pitched sounds

Or he cant handle very stront scents

Which is all amplified when he is in 'mikebat form' (not actually what he calls it)

As well into the bat hibernation periods

Though he is simmilar to vampires in the eating portion. While they feed on humans blood he eats their flesh, simmilar enough.

He has an almost vampire like appearance

Howdy, two things for this ask. Number one, adore your art. Kinda feels like a proper HD remaster of the Sprunki sprites with the strong edge shading, all around shape of the bodies, the arms are well input, and you translated the expressions damn near perfectly. Dead Tunner's face looks like he's actually dead or heavily disoriented, and not like he's mildly confused. Keep it up, and if I could, I'd commission you.

He's a full blown cowboy, and the strongest of the group. Because he has many guns, and he can shoot them with damn near perfect accuracy.

He's the reason why Mr. Sun (A major antagonist) is dead. Sun killed the cattle at his ranch, Tunner stayed up to see who did, Mr. Sun came again, tried killing Tunner, Tunner showed Mr. Sun his 2nd amendment rights, and now Mr. Sun is dead.

So I finally got my life together enough to continue my C3 watch... I'm still at 33, I've made more progress on C1 recently. Finally the combination of finding Mini Metro and actually logging onto Tumblr on the web made the barrier of watching Those Episodes bearable.

Spoilers for ep 33 and minor vibe spoilers for episodes in the future that I'm not sure of but its all stuff I absorbed via osmosis and fandom.

It's been almost a full year since these episodes came out and I was mindlessly scrolling Tumblr during my 10am linguistics lecture and stumbled upon everyone panicking because of the lack of diamonds for the amount of people who died. Anyway.

The anxiety of not quite remembering exactly I learned happened is not doing me any favors, but good god, I can really only handle some of this stuff not watching live.
