Hey uh, what drawing apps do you use/recommend?

I mostly use photoshop and sometimes krita

As far as recomendations go, I don't really like recomending programs since it really does depend on what you are going to use (pc, laptop, android tablet, ipad, you name it) and how you feel about it

But just to list some programs I know about/ have used at some point:

Clip Studio Paint, Infinite Painter, Autodesk, Fire Alpaca, Paint tool Sai (I dont know if this keeps existing) and Aggie/Magma I guess

(i dont have an ipad and I only know of Procreate for it)

I'm gonna go in a bit of a ramble so I'm gonna leave that under the cut

Like I said I dont really like recomending programs because what works for some people might not work for others

For example Clip Studio Paint is an amazing program with a lot of tools that'll make your life easier, it works for pc, for android tablets, and I think for ipad too. it has an animation feature, the tools it has for comics/manga are amazing, and theres a whole asset store for brushes and whatnot with free stuff you can get! A lot of friends have move from photoshop to csp, most of my supervisors use that, and it called me like a siren call. but I cant use it. idk what is it, but i just cant get used to it, I've tried it in 3 different times for a couple of months and it never clicked with my brain. so I don't use it

I have an android tablet that I bought so I could draw digitally without being chained to my desk but I rarely draw there because I dont like the way it feels, but I use Infinite Painter and is a very compleate program there are tools under a paywall but is very cheap to buy

Autodesk, Fire Alpaca and Sai were some of the programs I used when I started digitally, I used to jump from one to the other to see what felt better (I ended up using photoshop) Autodesk and Fire Alpaca are free (as far as I know/remember) and Sai you do have to buy it but is a one purchase for life kind of thing (as far as I know)

Aggie/Magma is a browser based program, I don't really like it lmao, it lags a lot for me and my pc fans go like crazy whenever I open it, but I know people who use it as their default and I've seen people do very cool things in a shared canvas.

Same way, many people find photoshop very daunting or confusing or restricting while is my favorite thing and I feel like fish in water there. So it depends on your preferences!

My best recomendation is to jump from one place to the other, use those free programs and use up the free trails of the paid ones (and pirate photoshop) see what feels right to you!

And remember this very important bit of information:

Programs are just a tool. The tool does not make the artist.

Sure the wrong tool can mess you up, but that's why is important to experiment and find what works for you. But using fancy or pricy programs are not gonna make you a better artist, after all, there's people who do realistic portraits on ms paint

Hello grizz!! Your world-building and storytelling really inspire me in riptide, and as an aspiring dm I have but one question!!

How did you prompt the players to write their pc's backstories at the very beginning? Since they're all super interconnected with locations and actual people from their backstories, were those connections planned from the very beginning and did the players know about it??

I guess my point is that I want to write a campaign that has similarly linked characters, but I don't know how I should go about it. Write a story first and blend PC backstories into it, or make players write backstories and write the story around that?

(I'm not sure if this is like secret dm and player behind the curtain info that you can't share and in case it is that's fine, thank you for still taking the time to read this haha :]!! )

There isnt a right way, but I think after you DM for a while, youll learn what works for you and your table.

You can have your players make their characters, and then build a world around them, or you can build a world and then have your players make characters in the world. Regardless, I recommend making your players build their characters together or at least have a session 0 where everyone agrees on what they want out of the game and other table rules. It helps so that you dont have characters who dont get along, which can end up in players not having fun. You can also look up character building questionnaires to send to your players, that will help them flesh out the characters, and give you stuff you can use in the game. Important family member NPCs for example, or greatest fears for another.

In Riptide I didnt have a world built when we started, so there wasnt a story there. The concept of pirates vs navy isn’t original, it was just a starting point and gave the world a cohesive theme. I built small adventures and conflicts, and how the players reacted in character was how the story was told. Now, however, theres a lot more fleshed out, which means the world is going to change, whether they have a hand in it or not, and the story will be the characters perspective and lives throughout the ever changing world. The heaviest theme of the story right now is choice. Whose ideals will win? Whose choices will be remembered?

Id really suggest having a concept and an overarching plot at least so that you can integrate your players into it quicker and easier. An overarching plot might look like world alternating NPC motivations, like coming up with an antagonists plan long before the players are introduced, and have that plan effect the players directly, no matter what their backstory is.

For example, if you had a world that was in endless war fought by orphans raised to be genetic super soldiers, your players would have a jumping off point to write their characters. Your first few sessions might be exploring the live of these young soldiers, and then you throw the ultra plot twist at them like all of a sudden the world powers declare peace as long as all the super soldiers are eradicated, and then what was going to be a campaign of fighting war for the world or something, is now a campaign about being on the run from the world that created the characters. Not saying this idea is good, its just a silly idea to give quick example.

I have an alter ego for when im in cowede is the fucking best mood. an alter ego that ironically was inspired (and adapted to my vision) of some stuff X did. that alter ego is catichi. catichi is factually a brat, they are so adorable the universe will bend to his will and nobody could ever told him no, so pervy that he will fuck at lightspeed while making the lewdest sounds and faces ever known to man said universe while they bent. he knows it, and he LOVES it. and through him i'm loving it too. basically if i play catichi ? i'm having a total blast, buuuut i'm also probably going to stress overthinking and worry i make it a bad experience for my partner because of what X had on me. so i decide "fuck it, you know what ? this statue quo sucks, ima let out the catichi" coincidently at that time pen decided after realizing that yes, novelai cost money, thers other solution but they even require a veeeery good pc and time to learn how to do it, or have veeeery... subpar quality (or that one thing that @makoto-naegi-stud-and-friends found that i cant quite remember, i'll let you tell them you stud) so they decided to create @filthypen ! and their blog ? pretty damn great! super lewd, stll have stuff to learn but its a fun read and cool funny kinks, we also started rping and while we dont get eye to eye on writing style yet because of a core difference in our writing style, the rp is fun! + it feels like i can teach someone some stuff i learned in my relatively long career of shit smutt writing. so i decided to adopt the catichi persona with them, cos it makes me feel good. aaaand thinking that this status quo suck, i decided to also take that persona with X. trying to share positivity. result ? constant super cold response from X i try to engage in some stuff, give them stuff to say but they dont, which being in my boots is reading like "i dont care that youre having fun, stop doing that, and get back to being the one who does tremendous effort". oh thank you! i was convinced the other day the quality was awful so that's nice to hear.

i don't know how to do it on a mac as i use a PC but it's very easy. hit the windows button + g and a control panel of sorts will pop up onto your screen. if i can recall correctly the first time you do this quite a lot pops open, most of which you can close as you don't need them. the only one you need open is the capture tab - at the very top of your screen you'll have menu bar. hit capture on that, turn everything else off and pin the capture menu so you can click off and it'll stay - if you don't pin it it'll vanish if you click anywhere else on your screen! once it's pinned just open up what you want to record and hit the record button on the pinned capture tab. my recordings save directly into videos > captures and i believe that was automatic but if you can't find your recording hit windows + g again and then a 'see my captures' will open up on the capture tab. just click that. terrible picture below im sorry but you can’t use gyazo if the top menu bar is open annoyingly. ive circled what you want to click to open the capture tab and then you can see it there on the left. it’s movable so you can drag it to wherever suits you:

you're going to get the best results quality wise if you record directly from streaming sites like netflix/prime/paramount etc which you can do if you're on firefox. no black screens!! i hop on to my mum's accounts bcus i dont subscribe to everything so that's always my first port of call, to check if it's on a streaming site i can access. if i can't it works well on ahem other more free streaming sites (i can share my go to one but off anon) but just make sure you find a link with 1080p! and that's it! hope that helps <3

this is an older ask thats been sitting in my inbox but i wanna use it as my opportunity to talk about benny while im still fnvposting bc BOY do i have thoughts about benny and BOY do i have a story for you guys

so as i briefly mentioned before, i had decided to do the yes man route before i even played the game bc i just wanted to play for him at first lol. i didnt know how closely tied yes man was to benny before meeting him- my main 2 goals were "get that bastard who shot me" and "find my robot boyfriend" lmao

when i got to the strip and confronted benny, he convinced me to go up to the presidential suite and told me he'd meet me there- ofc this was a trap, but with a good speech check (like i said, a good speech check makes for some of my favorite moments in the game) i managed to convince him to let me go . i dont even remember what i said (i think it was something like "if you let me go i won't follow you") but i remember he was like ".....i cant believe im actually letting you live" and in that moment i was like Ohh im in this fuckers head now

since then ive been imagining this semi-homoerotic rivalry between us, a la tom and jerry or cooper and propeller knight lmao. he skipped town immediately made a run for the fort (obviously. him letting me live didnt mean he was done trying to take over vegas) and i ran after him bc. well i needed that chip too lmao . when i got to the fort i found him captured by the legion, and i finally had the opportunity to talk to him at length.

after learning his backstory and motivations, i realized, i dont actually hate benny nearly as much as i thought i did? like he's an asshole for sure, and he will always be the guy who shot me in the head lol but like, he wasnt like... evil yknow. i realized i saw a lot of myself in him- he's just one guy who took a look at the world and realized he didnt like any of it, and wanted to change it... but he's also only one guy. it felt like we started out in the same position, and he lost his way at some point. he kinda epitomized my own (in-character) fear that whatever i did with new vegas after taking over wouldn't be the right decisions to make. and god i felt bad for him

so i tried to let him go. twice lol . i went out of my way to find a stealth boy for him like he asked, but he was a stupid asshole and activated it immediately when i gave it to him and then we both died dfkghk so i did the bunker mission and went back to caesar and he was like "ok you can choose how benny dies" and i asked if he could be let go and he was like "haha youre funny. choose something or we're crucifying him" and i was like Okay Okay Sorry

if im being completely honest i felt bad for benny like this. i'd usurped his plans embarrassingly easily, and now he's tied up and on death row because of it. we'd had our exchanges in who had the upper hand, but i didnt wanna just kill him like this, it didn't feel fair. so i told him to fight me in the arena, and he was like. amused by the idea? and we got our stupid machetes from the legion and fought and it was clumsy and messy bc im not good with melee and he's just an npc but there was something kinda perfect and human about it

and then i got the final blow on him. and my game froze. it froze so bad i had to force shut down my pc . the next day i turned it on and guess whose copy of fnv was completely busted! like loading any save or starting a new game would immediately crash the game kind of busted. and then i went to open yes man and SOMEHOW his data was entirely wiped . and i was CRUSHED because that's!!! that's the reason i started playing fnv to begin with!! i put a month of play time into him!! i'd maxed out my relationship with him!! i didnt know if i could even get that progress back!! but i had to go to work and i couldnt stick around to find out!

so i spent ALL day on friday anxious and sad and worried i wouldnt be able to fix things. it took me all weekend but i did eventually get everything fixed (extra special thank u to yes man's dev for helping me w him). but i swear to god i was convinced this was all somehow benny's doing. the game had frozen on a frame of benny mid-machete chest stab, and it was the last thing i saw before all of this happened. after our extended cat and mouse game, after all this back and forth, it felt like he was fucking me over one last time from beyond the grave and beyond even the limitations of the game. i took his life, he took my yes man. like seriously yes man was literally the only other program that was affected by the crash, it FELT targeted lmao

when i got the game working again, i had to replay the sequence where i killed benny and it didnt crash when i killed him this time. actually seeing him fall to the ground dead was oddly both cathartic and painful. i took his belongings (which felt kinda disrespectful but im sure he'd have wanted me to lol) and i left the fort wearing his suit. i gave yes man his gun (maria, which i love that he named, the loser)

i dont think benny was Right (though i dont think anyone in this game is meant to be entirely Right lol) but i also think he had the right idea going in. he's equal parts inspiring and a cautionary tale and i hate him just as much as i love him. he might be my favorite character in this game. i'll miss you, you asshole

Someone asked what the silliest thing I've done with technology is, and while not the silliest, i do have a silly story from only a few weeks ago.

See, I had finally gotten time to sit down and hack/homebrew my 3DS (NEW Nintendo 2DS XL for me but thats unimportant, the process is the same) [Also if you have a 2ds/3ds def do it super easy theres a clear concise step by step guide takes like 30 minutes] and was looking for things to do with it.

Well, since the SD card is very hard to get to on some models, several community members suggested installing a well known utility that allows for file transfers between a PC and your 3ds without needing to remove the card. Just direct connection (a legitimate, fully functional FTP server for those curious).

So I set it up, happily transfer some screenshots of my Nintendogs to my PC to share with friends, and go on about my life.

Days later, I am applying for jobs again (eternal torture) when I realize that the computer I'm using doesnt have the lastest version of my resume. No big deal, my laptop 2 feet away does, I'll just move it over.

There are many simple, fast, sane ways to do this. I own unimaginable numbers of USB drives, external hard drives, and generally useful storage media. I could have used a cloud file storage service (though I refuse to out of spite, long story), or just emailed it to myself.

But I remember. There's a File Share server on my 3ds. Wouldnt it be funny if...

So yeah I spent an extra 30 minutes setting up an FTP client on not one but 2 machines, and sending my resume to my 3ds and then downloading it from there to the other pc. The resume is still there.

I dont know if there's a PDF reader for 3ds. If there isn't I might look at making one just b/c asking if I can show someone my resume then whipping out my DS might be the best career move I can make.

Tho i DID have a funny thought about movie vanessa being a robot akin to charlie bot and then dropped it when I remembered the part shes hospitalised gjfjjf . And like IDK if that was the case in games. It cld make her make sense as an afton who is a robot. anyway back to the OG diagrams, you can see i only have 2 envy cards that i use, despite me having that sin the most (along with greed). whats not in this document is my beloved Luke 21 B-day SSR, my strongest card TO DATE. STILL. its somehow way stronger than any other UR so theres not really a need for envy cards all that much =w=bb

Aside from levi, the only other guy who's card i use more than not is simeon. I think thats because 2 of his UR's (the ones i still use) go al the way back to when i first started. so, early ur's, very well leveled from the start, and i just kept using em.

you'll see that i have more cards of Levi that i use than that there are actual sins. this is because im a sucker for him and want his pretty cards to be leveled. maybe they have an outfit, maybe its a UR+ that i want to replace a UR, something like that.

also. yes i have a total of 75 cards, out of which only 27 i really use. sue me. i like collecting the pretty pictures.

I could make another infograb on whether or not ive read the devilgram but lemme tell you... those'll look very two-sided. literally every Levi & Belphegor cards'll be there and MAYBE 2 other singulair cards from the beginning days.

i think it'd be fun to keep track of how strong each card is but that is WAY too much to do without automisation. none of this is linked to my actual game im putting it all in by hand. so imagine having to change it any time a card levels up.... PAIN.

Its been awhile since I’ve dreamt anything but i did so just now ( literally went straight here to write out my dream b4 i forget everything)

I don’t remember much of the start but what i do remember is that the setting is a theater, Stray kids was performing or one of the performers at least. After the show i kinda left with the crowd but for some reason i decided to go back inside the theater. My brother was there too

When i went back inside, i was looking for my brother? And for some reason i went on stage to lookfor him maybe. I found him but i also spotted skz members and i was shooketh (even in dream world) some were on stage (dont ask me who, its so hard to remember dreams) and some where off stage, lingering somewhere around the seats/audience area.

I was able to talk to the skz members on stage and after that when I looked around i saw my bro w the rest of skz around him off stage so i went to him to basically freak put about meeting skz. They p much laughed at me for that reaction. My bro was sitting down so when i went up to him i had my head bowed over then i started punching him.

Details get blurry again but we, my bro- skz- and i, went back on stage to take some pics and then play some games and i think dance around???

Dayum i remember feeling so happy that i wanted to dream journal all that I can remember from this but the longer i stay awake the less i remember :/ anyway!

I just remember the impression that i did something w my brother and it impressed skz so they joined us. And then my bro and i played some game that i will now call wobble wobble ( this probs stuck w me cuz the night b4, my friend was telling me to get this pc game called wobble life or something so my brain got stuck w it) where we’re facing each other and 1 person has to mimic the others dance to the beat of “wobble wobble and shake a little” like we gotta say that phrase.

When it was just us two, it was my bro making up the moves and then i had to follow. After a bit skz joined us and lined up behind my bro. If i got the move right whoever was in front of me would go back in line and the next one would make up a dance . If i didnt get the move right, i keep going w that same person(i didnt have my own line behind me since all the kids went behind my brother) until i got it right.

Tbh this was the main reason for this dream journal. I wanted to remember this game lol. But also for some reason i had this thought when i woke up that i wanted to.. document? Share? Idk. But what i thought was “wow, so stray kids and my brother are my happiness…” and really thinking about it now despite literally just waking up to write this all out. That thought holds quite some truth to it. How long it remains the truth is a mystery but for now, yes. Lmao

“Wait, seriously? You want to work here? But--but I thought you were from out of town?”

Jun’s eyes light up with excitement; fingertips crushing the resume you passed to him moments prior. “Um, well, there was a change of plans… and I’d really like to work somewhere where I have a friend! If you guys are still hiring, that is...” You reply back meekly.

It’d taken you all morning to write up a resume, blushing a little when you realize most of your income had been from camming. It’d also made you pause for a moment when you realized that it meant Jun would also know your real name too; as well as everyone who came through the diner and all of your coworkers.

“Yeah, of course! I, um, just give me a second to pass this to my manager, okay? I’ll be sure to put in a good word!” Jun shoots you a wink before he turns to leave.

You take the opportunity to sit down at a nearby booth, fishing for your phone to text Seungcheol.

‘I think I might be getting the job!!’

cheollie ✨: oh? Not that I doubted you, but is it confirmed already?

‘Mm… Jun is trying to put in a word for me! But I’m confident!’

You hear someone call your name hesitantly, only to find Jun standing a few feet away looking at you sheepishly. “Um, sorry, your name’s on the resume so I figured…”

“Oh! Yeah, it’s fine!” You awkwardly giggle. “I figured writing ‘Cherry’ as my name wouldn’t be too smart when you need to cross-reference my ID if I get the job.” Jun laughs as he takes the seat across from you in the booth, papers in hand.

“Well, I convinced my manager to let me interview you. Told him that if we’d be workin’ together that I’d want to scope you out for myself! He bought it, can you believe it!?” Grinning, he sets your crumpled resume down next to a small stack of papers. “I don’t doubt you’d pull your weight around here but I do have to ask… Why here of all places? I thought your, uh, other job was enough? Or I guess I assumed...” You bite your lip, flip-flopping on whether or not you wanted to let him know exactly what happened that led to your sudden decision.

“Um… There were just some big life changes I had to make on the fly and I’ll be living around here now! I’m trying out some new things… I also figured if I worked with you, then you’d know my schedule the best too! And you seem like a really nice and cool guy.”

Jun nods, smiling back at you.

“You got that right!”

“You’re seriously going to start working there?” Jeongguk raises a brow, cables in hand as he sets up the extra PC in his streaming room. “And the guy working there knows you? That doesn’t bother you?”

Seungcheol laughs under his breath, ���Yeah and he knows me now too. And knows I’d kick his ass if he tried anything.” You pout from your place in the expensive gaming chair; eyes focused on Jeongguk who shimmies under the desk to start plugging in the cables.

“Well, yeah he does know me, but he’s also one of my regulars and knows the schedules I’ll need, so I think we can trust him!” They both nod and Seungcheol is quick to cross the small room until he’s right behind you.

“He seems like a nice guy though, I don’t think we have to worry.”

Jeongguk slides out from underneath the desk, dusting off his pants as he stands. “And if he does end up being a weirdo, there’s always a place for you at the roller rink!”

Seungcheol rolls his eyes, hands gripping onto the backrest of the chair.

“No.”

“Hey guys, welcome back to Golden Closet Gaming! I’m JK, your regular host! Today, we have a suuuper special guest! Why don’t you introduce yourself, pretty lady~”

You take a deep breath as you lean in close to the mic; somewhat nervous and a little out of your usual element. “Hi everyone~ I’m Cherry! Some of you may know me from, um, the other side of the streaming-sphere but I’m joining my friend today in hopes of boosting our channels together and having a ‘lil bit of fun!!”

Seungcheol sits at the side as he watches the two of you; a small smile painted on his lips at the way the two of you seem to fall into your characters easily despite the somewhat different platforms and influx of different viewers.

The sound of donations and comments pour in a lot quicker than Jeongguk, himself, is used to; eyes wide and eyebrows raised as he pauses to watch them flood the screen.

Jeongguk laughs, still in disbelief as the donations continue to pour in from a combination of your viewers and his. He always made a decent amount from his viewers but he couldn’t deny the pull you had from your viewers as well. “Wow, um okay, my donations are adding up a lot quicker than they usually do. That’s… Hey, whaddya say to streaming with me regularly?” He jokes. 

A shy laugh bubbles up your throat; ears and cheeks burning hot at the idea. You had never collabed with any other streamer before and despite your initial hesitance and unsureness, you too, were shocked to find how well the two of you were doing without your usual content.

“Erm, I’m not very good at gaming though… I don’t think your viewers would like it very much...”

“On second thought, let’s let this be a special occasion, huh? Maybe collabs for the holiday, Cherry?” Jeongguk grumbles and Seungcheol has to bite his lip to keep in his laughs from his side of the small room. You start to feel more and more comfortable at the lighthearted atmosphere; tucking a stray hair behind your ear before you lean in towards the mic again.

“Ah! Speaking of, don’t forget to tune into my camshow tomorrow~! JK and I will be gaming on there as well but… with some added fun to match my channel~! 21 and over only~” You blink at the computer screen, still a little unused to the idea that you weren’t technically being filmed. Although, it was a nice change for once; not needing to be all done up for a show and simply just talking to your viewers and reading comments.

sleepy_wonu: is dom daddy gonna be on the show too?

“Dom daddy? Oh you mean Se---”

“Yes! Kind of!” You cut off, laughing nervously. Nobody knew Seungcheol’s name except for Jun and you were trying to keep as much of him private as possible, until he was ready. “In a sense, he’ll be there! You guys will just have to tune in to find out!”

Jeongguk laughs into his own mic, scooting in closer to his desk as he loads up the game.

“I think that’s enough chatting for now, huh? Let’s get started! Tonight we’ll be playing Phasmophobia! We’ll be playing something more lighthearted on Cherry’s channel, as she requested. So tonight we’ll be playing something I picked out. You ready, baby?”

Seungcheol narrows his eyes, quietly taking a sip of his water.

“Ready when you are!”

“I gotta say, sweetheart, for someone who doesn’t play video games too often, you’re not too bad.” Seungcheol comments, nodding his head in amazement as the three of you exit Jeongguk’s PC room. He’d had a hard time keeping in his laughs as he watched from the side and he had to admit, you were even cuter when you were outside of your usual element.

“I have to agree with hyung, but maybe it was also the adrenaline and screaming that kept you goin’.”

The two males share a laugh as you pout and plop down onto Jeongguk’s living room sofa. “Hey, how were the numbers for tonight, by the way?” You ask quietly.

“Honestly? I think we made almost triple of what my channel usually sees. I know I don’t really make a ton off of my streams since I don’t really do anything, like, crazy but shit… Even I’m shocked at how much we made.”

Seungcheol’s lip ease into a smirk; Jeongguk really had no idea how much the two of you had made off of a couple videos alone.

“We still have one more stream to do and then we can just pool up the money and split it down the middle!”  

Jeongguk nods, stretching as he sits himself down onto the other end of the sofa. “I’ll bring my spare PC stuff so we can set up a little early tomorrow, if that’s cool with you two? Maybe have some food before we get started too ‘cause god knows I’m gonna be starving.” You look to Seungcheol who nods and checks his phone for the time.

“Yeah, we need to set up the cameras and lighting a little differently too so we’ll probably start earlier. Just text me before you drive over so we know when to expect you.”

You yawn next to Jeongguk; adrenaline having worn off as the tiredness finally sets in. “It’s so weird, usually I’m only just starting my stream right around this time but I’m so exhausted now...” Seungcheol’s eyes from cute crescents as he smiles down at you, stepping closer as he goes in to smooth down your hair.

“You really were screaming a lot, to be fair. How about we head home and you can sleep in the car?”

“Okay~”

Seungcheol lets you sleep in on Saturday morning, watching as your chest rises and falls with soft breaths.

He takes a moment to think over the last few weeks of his life and he can’t help the disbelieving expression that crosses his features when he realizes just how much had changed over the course of just weeks.

When the two of you had met, he wasn’t expecting much. He expected the two of you to hang out for a few days before you went home and forgot he even existed outside of your camshows and the comments section. But now that so much had happened between the two of you, Seungcheol felt a deeper connection to you and felt the need to protect you even moreso than ever.

He sees you shift slightly, sleepy eyes blinking open as you peer up at him. “Good morning, sweetheart.”

“Mm… g’morning ‘cheol…”

You grimace sleepily at how hoarse your voice sounds, “Ew, I sound so… gross.”

Seungcheol moves to get out of bed, leaning in to kiss your forehead before he shuffles towards the bathroom. “I’m going to wash up but you can stay in bed if you like. I’ll make you some tea for your throat, okay? We have a long day ahead of us and I don’t think you wanna sound like that later tonight.”

Nodding sleepily, you lay back down as you yawn and let the sleep take over once again.

“Are you really sure ‘bout this?” Jeongguk takes a bite of his pizza as he watches Seungcheol pull the desk closer to the bed.

“What do you mean?” You ask; readjusting the light that was closest to the younger male. “Like, I dunno, I’ve never been on a cam show like this so… I mean do I have to do anything different?” You laugh lightly as you go in to pat Jeongguk on the shoulder.

“No, just be you. And we went over it already earlier, the only thing that’s different is going to be me! No weird tricks or anything, I promise.”

Seungcheol places another monitor on the tabletop, grunting as he goes. “Yeah, and in all honesty, I would hate to have to watch you get off, ‘Guk.”

“Oh shut up, hyung. You say that like I don’t know what you’re packin’ under those sweats. I think it’d only be fair! Just two bros getting to know each other.” Seungcheol pretends to gag just as you double over in laughter. “No, absolutely not, ‘Guk. And also, nobody told you to watch those videos!”

Jeongguk pauses, lips pressing into a firm line. “You right, you right…”

You leave to get changed just as Jeongguk starts to help Seungcheol set up the last few bits of equipment. He leans in close to the older male, eyes glancing around the space to make sure you were completely out of earshot. “Hey, hyung, honest question.”

“Sure.”

“Are you really okay with all this?” Confusion crosses Seungcheol’s features as he raises an eyebrow at the younger male. “What’s ‘this’ exactly, ‘Guk?”

So full disclosure, I have known of this project - just never anything about it specifically. @kisekisnow has taken the time to tell me about these things - but unfortunately I'm really dumb and don't remember (im sorry Yuki!) That being the case I did some digging - and here are my thoughts that no one actually asked for....

Please keep in mind these just my opinions and are based on what I can find on the wiki. If you have other thoughts, please share, cause I love talking about this stuff!

First, very confused about Carnelian. The wiki states that he is the father to all the boys in EROSION - however he and his wife only had two children, who are not in the band. Additionally, no where on his wiki does it mention that he is their father... but the manga on the youtube is about him? I'll need to watch this.

Second, so this wiki does not tell me what these boys are - and it's upsetting cause I want to know. Looking over Toxin, how does he an this Yoru have the same mom... and dad... but different last names? Speaking of Yoru - boy how you gonna be the foul mouth one then love hot chocolate. That's so cute.

Creha hands down is the most interesting. Like... bruh his lips and teeth are translucent!? And his saliva is a drug!? What even!? And he sings... like what? I need more information! Neight also is... interesting. I am always drawn to character (or people) who have Dissociative Identity Disorder - in my life I have done many research papers on this subject. However, with just the information on the wiki - I feel like that's just there so that he, like the other members, can be aggressive and foul. Like it's a trail they put on him just because, not necessarily because there was something deeper going on where he needed that coping mechanism. Again, it could just be this Wiki's lack of actual details.

Then there is Byakuya.... yeah... So looks wise - he is totally my type. Cute face, little crazy in the brain - Im there. But what is this all bout trying different medicine on himself? Is he a drug addict? Again, it feels like this is kind of out of the blue for a character trail - in a project about a band. Especially when the rest of his description talks about his knowledge of music and using is PC to make it.

Honestly, these characters are a little all over the place. It kind of feels like Reject was PUSHING for them to be 18+, and not just a regular kind like DL is. In DL we have character who had trauma - and behave the way they do because of it. Here it just kind of feels like - oh lets give one this like medical thing and another this venom and another DID - but with no reason as to why. Perhaps this has just not been explained yet in the drama CDs or the Manga or whatever - but it's a bit of a stretch for me story telling wise.

Overall, it feels messy to me? Maybe they will use this Young Blood Manga to fill in these hole for Carnelian Blood - but I doubt it. They seem to be from two totally different worlds. Again, it's not even mentioned that these guys are demons - the only indication that they are is that they appeared out of no where and their music is hypnotic.

And this idea that they all have the same dad - can be easily taken as like they were adopted like the Mukami were - BUT then why are they not mentioned at all on his wiki. Also, why do they all have such a wide range of feeling towards him. You have two that are like NO WAY - like they were traumatized by him. One that likes him, one (and only one?) that talks to him, and one that is like i dont trust this guy. Which makes me think that they were recently adopted...? I do not know.

If I had to assign them clans based on appearance; Toxin & Yoru (Bat), Creha (Snake), Neight (Wolf), and Byakuya (Eagle). Just a guess though - and Byakuya really doesn't feel like an Eagle to me, but we have no actual cannon idea of what the Adlers are even like sooooooooo...

We shall see where this goes. That is an interesting idea that Young Blood might play a part in Carnelian, and maybe I just don't see it cause I am not that knowledgeable in Carnelian.

OH! You mentioned another heroine - that make sense. I mean all Otome based games or settings has a protagonist for the listener/player. So it doesn't sound too far fetched. Not to mention, Yui isnt the first 'bride' to enter the Sakamaki mansion, so yeah that checks.

for this year ive gotten and gotten out of a shit ton of fandoms but they all fucking doused all their serotonin right into my heart  im so so so glad that i met so many amazing people on discord and tumblr and i cannot express how much i love you guys as well - Osu!
