I headcanon all of the Angels in hazbin hotel to have different wings and characteristics based on different birds. Like I have so many thoughts on the angels it's not even funny. I also have a few on halos.
Lucifer: I like the idea of all of the seraphim being the same type of bird being a dove but I like to imagine that Lucifers wings changed after he fell to duck wings even if they do not look like them they have the same shape and capabilities of them, as his wings seem much bigger than the other seraphim though I don't think we've seen sera or Emilys wings at full size. It's also why his wings are two different colors, he also absolutely quacks.
Emily and Sera: both have dove wings, they are seen as authority figures in heaven so there wings indicate there purity and elegance. Though I was thinking of giving them swan wings (I'm not sure yet), Emily also coos and vocalizes more than sera
Adam: he's heavens golden goose, he's loud and angry like one and I can image him honking. His wings are very large and beautiful, and I can see him being very possessive over his exorcists due to the first two lady's in his life leaving him. He absolutely makes the exorcists preen his wings.
Vaggie and lute: putting these two together because there the same species. All exorcists have falcon wings. The exorcists are heavens army they need to be fast and deadly. Compered to the other angels in heaven exorcists have very dark wings with lighter insides similar to the falcon. Never race an exorcist you will lose. Exorcists all preen each others wings as they are all part of the same flock, after vaggie was left in hell she greatly missed having someone preen her wings but after what lute did to her she absolutely hates people touching her wings. All exorcists use falcon calls to communicate with each other.
Winners: most winners have extremely small wings from what we saw in the show, I like to imagine the bigger the wings the more important the role of the winner is like St Peter's wings where very big compared to that of Molly's. The most common wings you would see in winners are pigeon, hummingbird, seagull and Robin.
Redeemed sinners: the only redeemed sinner so far is sir pentious and from the looks of it he doesn't have any wings, so I'm assuming that sinners don't get wings when they go to heaven.
Halo headcanons
Halos indicate your rank in heaven, the more spikes or accessories indicate more power, sera being the most powerful/influencal angel we've seen so far has an extremely large and beautiful Halo.
Tumblr media
Next is Emily, but due to her having a lower status her Halo is smaller ( I also think the eye appearing when she's angry is cool)
Tumblr media
Next would be Adam with his bright gold halo and single Spike, his is interesting because despite him technically being a winner his status as the first man boosts his power. His halo also has the power to communicate with all the other exorcists like we see lute do in the last episode when she picks it up.
Tumblr media
Then we have the exorcists, their halos are completely black which is very interesting as all other angel species so far have bright halos, maybe it represents the violence their capable of? Idk they also have the same spike as Adam Maybe that's how he can communicate with them. My theory on the exorcists is that there heaven born so would rank higher that the winners it just makes more sense and it would be the opposite of the sinners where hell born are ranked under them.
Tumblr media
Lastly would be the winners, sinners turned winners and the cherubs as the all have the same halo being a single ring. Everything in the show so far has indicated the winners being the weakest in heaven this could change but so far this is my ranking.

Hello! I saw your requests were open and was wondering if you could write a Morpheus x mortal!reader where he has a crush on her and Idk maybe they’re friends or something and he sees her kissing another guy at a party and gets jeaulous.
Or… maybe a Morpheus x Johanna’s apprentice!reader where they have to go on kind of a mission together to help/save Johanna and they end up falling in love?
Couldn’t choose between the two tbh 😅 Any of them would be fine. If its okay for you, ofc!
🫀REQUESTS ARE OPEN🫀
[TW: religious themes, demons, swear words] Sandman-inspired playlist
"I'm looking for Johanna Constantine," stated the stranger standing at your threshold. He was dressed in all black with pasty white skin that made him look either emaciated or vampire-like. Either way, it was a very uncommon taste but you didn't expect anything else from your boss's acquaintances.
"You and me both, man," you answered as you leaned against the doorframe. "She was supposed to go to some town outside of London, look at a girl and come back. Maybe do an exorcism but she sounded convinced it wouldn't be needed."
"When was that?"
"Like two days ago?" you said with a shrug. Most of the time, Johanna was stuck in a cycle of disappearing and showing up shortly after without even a scratch.
The stranger leaned in. His dark eyebrows furrowed only furthering his intimidating appearance. "And you haven't thought of finding her?" he asked in an unnerved voice.
"Of course I did!" you exclaimed while throwing your hands in the air. The last thing you wanted or needed was a random man suggesting you were irresponsible. "Who do you have me for, raven boy? The only thing stopping me from going after her is herself. Have you ever seen Johanna angry? No? I have and now I don't watch scary movies with my light on because I know there are worse things."
"Where is Johanna?" The man was growing impatient and angry. Whatever he needed her for, it was something that clearly couldn't wait.
The stranger's irritation was, truthfully, an expression of your own worries and desperation - lead-like dread had been sitting in your abdomen for the entire day. Perhaps it was time to brave through your fear of Johanna's anger and show some agency. "She's supposed to be in Dover, like 2 hours from here. I'll grab my keys and we can go."
But Morpheus grabbed the sleeve of your jacket before you could walk away. You were about to scold him, tell him that he's being very forward to a person he had only just met, but suddenly you weren't in your small apartment in London. In the distance, you heard sea waves crashing against cliffs and a flock of seagulls screaming over the shore: undoubtedly, you had found yourself in Dover.
"Come," he called out behind you. Judging by his aloofness, he must have often just reappeared wherever he wanted.
Turning around towards Morpheus, you saw a brick mansion with thick ivy covering its walls. The windows were either too dirty to see through them or the architect was strangely fond of opaque glass. The paint was chipping off the wooden door, silently suggesting that no one had taken care of the house in a long while. A murder of crows seemed to have taken over the mansion - a row of black birds sat along the ledge, staring at the two unwelcome guests. They seemed to grow irritated as their loud caws did not scare you off from their den.
"Creepy old house," you slowly said to yourself as you took in the disturbing sight. "That's definitely on my jeepers-creepers bingo."
"Did Johanna employ you as a jest?" His tendency to speak in a quite monotone voice made it difficult for you to decide whether it was a genuine question or an attempt at being mean.
"I hope not. I tend to have a very limited repertoire of cynicism and self-deprecation."
Suddenly, a muffled scream reached your ears. Among the crashing waves and seagulls it would have been impossible to hear it had you been standing even a few meters farther from the house. The crows also contributed to the general disruption. Wickedness, quite curiously, came with a drop of genius.
"Basement. Of course," you said in a low voice while slightly nodding to yourself. "Let's go."
Entering the cellar, your nostrils were instantaneously filled with the putrid smell of mould and rotting blood. The floor was covered in something wet and you were suddenly grateful for the lack of light in the concrete corridors - it was better to naively assume it was just water from faulty, old plumbing. Your heart was thundering in your chest as you followed Morpheus and his strides towards the screams and rattling of chains that only grew louder with each of your rushed steps.
With trembling hands, you pushed open the door at the end of the dark corridor. Sure enough, on the other side, you found the source of the blood-chilling screams. Across the concrete room was a man dressed in a cassock, who was speaking in a language you had never heard before. Was he... praying? High above his head levitated Johanna's body with limbs stretched out so much they threatened to completely dismember her at any second. She must have been screaming for hours on end as her voice became raspy. So far, both of them seemed to be unaware of your presence.
"A satanic priest. Because there wasn't anything more cliche," you whispered.
Morpheus was about to take a step towards the possessed man and suffering Johanna but you grabbed his arm. He looked at you with nothing short of annoyance - you were, clearly, treading on thin ice.
"You may be an expert on pulling Houdini-worth tricks but this is my field of expertise. Like it or not, I need you to trust me with your life for the next bit," you spoke quietly. Every now and then you'd look towards the horrifying sight on the other side of the room to make sure that you still had the element of surprise.
Rummaging through the pockets of your jacket, you pulled out two containers and shoved them in Dream's chest. With vivid unsureness, he took them from you. "Holy water and blessed salt," you explained. "Throw it at him or around him. It won't kill the demon but will surely weaken it. I'll do the talking."
Having said those words, Morpheus left your side to march towards the possessed priest. You took in a deep, slow breath to try and calm yourself. As an apprentice, you knew that the day of your trial was coming sooner or later but you never thought that the life of someone you cared about would be part of it. A grim duty fell on you - there was no one else who could help Johanna before she dies from the ritual she was currently undergoing. Whatever happens now, was to forever remain your sole responsibility.
Johanna had made you practise the exorcism prayer so many times you learned it barely a few weeks into your apprenticeship. It was just a strange skill at the time but now, when her life and well-being were in your hands only, it was akin to a superpower. Having taken in another deep breath, you began reciting the formula as fast as you could while maintaining the necessary clarity of speech.
The demon was no longer oblivious to your pesky presence but Morpheus did an excellent job at keeping it distracted enough to not go after you or poor Johanna. Considering how much of the blessed salt and holy water actually ended up on the possessed man, Dream had an exceptional aim. A blood-chilling scream resounded once more but this time it didn't belong to Johanna: it was the demon, crying out at the pain of being torn out of a corporeal form. His agony could partially be accredited to the sole fact that he was going to be banished to Hell, a place even demons feared and disliked.
Once the demon was exiled from this realm, Johanna's body hit the concrete floor of the basement with a muffled thud. Then, a groan left her mouth and you sighed in relief. Even if her bones were shattered, she was alive. Wasting no time, you run towards her to help her get up.
Straining to stand up, Johanna groaned out: "Well, that was really fucking fast."
"Yeah, I had my Eminem phase in middle school," you answered dismissively as you put her arm around your neck for better support.
"What took you so long?"
"I didn't actually think you were in trouble, Johanna. He brought me here because he wants something from you." Only when you motioned your head towards the black-haired man did she notice him. She let out an irritated sigh but it was quiet enough that only you heard it.
After a few limping steps, Johanna was well enough to walk on her own or at least she claimed so. She crossed her arms on her chest as she approached Morpheus, whose expression remained ever so unreadable. Apparently, an exorcism wasn't enough to elicit emotion from him. Johanna gave you a meaningful stare and you knew it was time for you to go and irritate the crows outside with your unwelcome presence.
Long minutes went by when you were staring at the sea and cliffs in the distance, listening to the shrieking and cawing of the black birds over your head. What was taking them so long? Among the noise, you heard someone's footsteps behind you: it was Morpheus but curiously, he came alone.
"Where's Johanna?" you asked.
"There were affairs she needed to see through before leaving," he answered while approaching you. Barely a meter or two away from you, he just stopped. Morpheus simply stood there, the sea breeze tugging at his dishevelled hair. He stared at you with flustering intensity as if he was trying to look through you and inspect the particles of your very soul.
After a while, his silent gawking became so uncomfortable you couldn't ignore it any longer. "Okay, what is it?"
"You are an absolutely aggravating creature," Morpheus stated while still looking at you with that stern, cold stare. His voice was so low, slightly raspy, that you felt it down to the marrow of your bones. "But I can not bring myself to hate you."
A playful smile crept unto your face. Maybe the raven guy wasn't the killjoy he introduced himself as. "Funnily enough, I was about to say the same thing. This whole 'woe me' brooding thing you have going on is infuriating. But it's also giving me very un-churchy thoughts."
Suddenly, something about his expression changed: a glint of mischief glistened in his blue eyes and one corner of his mouth pulled up ever so slightly. "Would you like to hear mine?"
You were about to answer him something equally suggestive when Johanna made her presence known: "Get a fucking room you two!"

Another classic sonic tribute game idea!
What if I make another classic sonic game that is tribute to the classic sonic series and it takes place after classic sonic the hedgehog and the evil shadow king. And it’s the first ever 3D Classic Sonic Game
Once again an inspiration to kirby and the name of the game is…
Classic Sonic The Hedgehog And The Long Lost Abandoned City
Story: After the events of classic sonic the hedgehog and the evil shadow king classic sonic is walking around green hill zone and was stretching and then he decided to go for a run as he runs around green hill zone and then suddenly when the sky is covered in dark grey clouds classic sonic suddenly stops and when he looks up he sees a star shaped vortex for a second he looks curious but as things started sucking up to the vortex classic sonic was shocked and then he starts dashing away from the vortex he was super fast as some rocks and the palm trees in green hill is being sucked up as then the screen changes to classic miles tails prower using his two tails to get away from the vortex but gets sucked up as well then switched back to classic sonic still dashing away until a big rock hits classic sonic as then he was then sucked up to the vortex within it classic sonic was floating around the strange space then he became unconscious then the screen turns black for a couple of seconds then the screen then turns to classic sonic washed ashore then when he wakes up he finds himself in a beach but then he started to explore a bit and heads inside a rainforest when he exits the beach then when he then gets through the rainforest when he got out of the forest he then sees a long lost abandoned city he felt surprised but then explores the long lost abandoned city then when he gets inside an abandoned building he looks around then hears a noise from behind a abandoned vending machine as then three wolfs suddenly jumped from behind the vending machine and they charged at classic sonic but classic sonic gets prepared and he spin dashes at the three wolves then they are gone like smoke then classic sonic now knows there’s enemies around. When classic sonic exits then building he explores the long lost abandoned city more then he discovers an incomplete golden gate bridge and classic looks up noticing the other half is pointing up he then takes a spin dash as the first half then falls down to the other half as the bridge is completely then for a second after classic sonic look at the radio and welcome to the new world starts playing then classic sonic was enjoying the song then speeds thur the Golden Gate Bridge as the song goes on then when the song plays he takes a run through the abandoned road then stops for a family of ducks to cross, then two wolfs stare at classic sonic running through the road, then when he spots a long road across the water he takes a good run through the road as seagulls fly in the background as he dashes through the road the game title pops up as then when the song is over classic sonic was still running on the road now at the end of long road across the water and is now in a roadway where trees are he then suddenly hears noises and then he stops for a moment and takes a look around he can see smoke coming from over that hill as classic sonic dashes again to investigate then when he stops he spots a village being destroyed he looks around and then he felt shocked when he sees wolves and big cats and every wild beast called the savage beast crew chasing villagers then being captured by crows and other birds with cages then a pack of wolves spots a little turquoise hair colored human fairy girl then chases the fairy then the fairy girl was cornered being scared as the wolfs surrounded the fairy then a flock of crows carry a cage before dropping it on her as she cried out for help as classic sonic feels super shocked then angry as he goes again a pack of wolfs then when he defeats them he spin jumps at the cage and it breaks as the crows fly away as the fairy girl is free! She thanked him for rescuing her as she explains what’s going on that a evil skeleton empire name king timber is the leader of a group called the wild savage crew destroyed many of the peoples houses and captured them all! They are not real animals they all have red glowing eyes that were created by timber’s dark magic that’s why they are all bad.
Then classic sonic points his thumb at his chest as she said if he is gonna help he nods yes as she is glad for him to help and she will help as well since she is a powerful fairy. She then ask you must be classic sonic the hedgehog right? She then introduces herself her name is princess molly and she shakes his hand as then a warp starts appears before they go on the ride suddenly an explanation mark appears as he then notices classic tails running to him as they both high five as she ask is that your friend from your dimension? Well hello she gladly waved you must’ve came from his dimension too right? Classic Tails nods yes then she then ask you must be classic miles tails prower right? I’m princess molly as she explains the same stuff to him as they both agree to help then she asked were two a team before then they nod yes she then said were gonna be a great squad the three of us! As then they are all ready to go stop the evil king as they hop on the warp star and the warp star takes off as their journey begins.

However 2 cameo stuff will appear from kirby the invincibility candy and the warp star. And there will be a health bar on the bottom left so when you take damage and classic sonic loses rings when you take damage again the health bar will go lower down and when the health bar is empty classic sonic death animation would be just like kirby death animations. He takes damage during the game except in the final battle phase 3 classic hyper sonic won’t take any damage and the rings won’t count down.
However in the end of world 7 after the 7th boss defeated king timber will suddenly appear right behind classic sonic, classic tails and princess molly as he gets the cage and capture princess molly classic sonic then about to save her but he flys up and classic sonic and classic tails were both shocked as then classic tails has an idea and he brings out the tornado and classic sonic was surprised as they both get on and they head after king timber and they saw king timber’s palace mount magma and there is his home base lab discovera as they both head to the palace to save princess molly
For the final level after the second phase classic sonic, classic tails and princess molly sees idf-88 melting as the tentacles still attack but they dodge every one of them but then a tentacle grabs princess molly and absorbs her inside the light blue goo that turns into a floating bubble classic sonic and classic tails tries to save her but the bubble gots away up to the sky as they both are determined to save her as they head up to the tallest building and to the helicopter pad and when they got to the helicopter pad they saw the floating bubble now transforming into the ultimate god queen timberella now that the other half princess molly is absorbed with idf 88 classic sonic knows what to do as he transforms into his hyper form to save princess molly and save the new world as the final battle begins as classic tails watches where the final battle begins with classic hyper sonic vs queen timberella.
And after the final phase princess molly is unconscious inside queen timberella’s stomach as classic hyper sonic pulls her out then princess molly wakes up as then she sees classic sonic and classic tails as she is happy to see them again as then queen timberella gets angry as she’s all melty as she flies up and opens up the vortex with her triden as things started rumbling and shaking as everything is floating as princess molly says such amazing power! Whatever it’s happening it is definitely not good…as classic sonic was shocked and princess molly looks to him and said what’s wrong? As the screen turns to his dimension at the other side of the portal as princess molly said off screen woah it’s that…your home dimension?! Is that your home green hill?! Queen Timberella wants your dimension to collide with this dimension!!! We gotta stop her but how….as they all looked around as the tornado landed behind them as they look at the tornado as they all nod to each other then screen turns black for a second then turns to classic sonic turning into his hyper form once again as classic tails gets the tornado and princess molly joins the tornado as they all fly super fast due to princess molly’s powers as then when they reach to queen timberella she gets furious as she releases two giant boulders as classic hyper sonic spin dashes right through them breaking them as she then gets very mad as she releases a big giant one as she pushes with all her might as classic hyper sonic pushes too their first attempt failed as they fall back a little but princess molly uses more her powers as the tornado and classic hyper sonic pushes together this time the giant boulder breakers as classic hyper sonic spin dashes through Queen Timberella as she screams in pain then exploded meaning she’s defeated for good as then classic sonic is back to his normal form as the three are unconscious as the tornado went ahead of them back to his dimension as they all head back to classic sonic’s dimension as the screen turns white for a couple of seconds.
For the ending the screen turns to classic sonic unconscious still but wakes up and finds a big giant purple vortex as it’s still sucking up everything in green hill as the three were shocked as princess molly says that’s green hill?! As then she looks at the vortex for a second and then she said I have to put things back to normal!! As she glows and she heads to the vortex and she said I have to place everything back….even if it takes all the power I got and she draws on all of her powers to close the dimensional rift and she tearfully says thank you for everything before the portal closes completely as the screen turns white for a second then to classic sonic and classic tails looking at green hill and everything is back to normal and all the palm trees are back to where they are and all the rocks and flowers and everything in green hill as they look for princess molly as classic sonic has his eyes closed and head down as he misses princess molly then suddenly when he looks at the phantom ruby it opens up a portal and then princess molly waves hi and she’s back as classic sonic and classic tails were happy as she brings them both in for a hug as the screen turns white for a couple of seconds then the screen goes to the three all happy as then princess molly then shows them that all the people and the village is saved and the portal closes and classic sonic gets the phantom ruby and puts it back but then princess molly says that she decides to stay in classic sonic’s dimension because she never had a home in her dimension and she just visited the village as they are both happy for that and they look at each other for a second then back to her as they nod yes and that makes her so happy as they all share another group hug meaning the end of the game.
The credit shows pictures of classic knuckles, classic amy, classic ray and classic mighty all happy to see classic sonic and classic tails as they all got to a group hug then the second picture shows classic sonic and classic tails meeting them to princess molly then the third picture shows classic sonic, classic tails, classic knuckles, classic amy, classic ray, classic mighty and princess molly visiting the rainbow castle where princess rainbow hugs classic sonic as she is happy to see him the next picture shows king sun having princess molly to be part of the family where princess molly is happy for that and the rest of the pictures show they are all having fun like snowboarding in ice cap zone, looking at the stars in starlight zone, having fun at casino night zone, etc.
And the last picture shows classic sonic, classic tails, classic knuckles, classic amy, classic ray, classic mighty, king sun, queen moon, prince andy, princess sally, princess rainbow and princess molly all taking a big selfie together.
It’s an inspiration of kirby and the forgotten land.
The music in kirby games and many other of my fandom games for example will be
Kirby And The Mysterious Vortex from Kirby And The Forgotten Land for the intro
Welcome To The New World! from Kirby And The Forgotten Land for the intro song
Welcome To The New World! Full from Kirby And The Forgotten Land for the ending song and credits
Running Through The New World from Kirby And The Forgotten Land for the arrival point and world 1 music
Two Planets Approach The Roche Limit from Kirby And The Forgotten Land for the phase 3 final battle
And more
And for the post credit shows classic sonic taking a selfie with classic tails and princess twinkle waving goodbye and the bottom of the picture says thanks for playing.
Hope you all like my idea bye bye!

A "Perfect" Vacation Ch 40
Prim paled in terror as she saw the same giant monsters that helped destroy her school in the first place re-emerge from the darkness. Not only that, but she saw the demon boy that she had HOPED been recaptured was glaring down at her...and his collar was no where to he seen.
"Hello Prim. Remember ME?!" Jett yelled out, bolts of electricity shooting around him, striking the metal that held up the spotlights. Getting scared, Prim screeched at the top of her lungs "GUARDS!! GUARDS!!" Causing the hordes of guards to appear and try to shoot Jett. The blue haired teen. Jett however just gives a smirk as his eyes give a faint glow, electricity flowing through him. "Catch me if you can." He cackled before running at breakneck speed, towards Prim and doing a full 80 laps around her and the guards before shooting off into the island.
Once the whiplash of Jett's Speed vanished, Prim and the guards looked down...only to realize they were in their underwear. Embarrassed at the display, Prim grabbed a nearby tablecloth and wrapped it around her like a makeshift towel. The angered woman turned to the guards (who were also in their underwear) "DON'T JUST STAND THERE!!! GO AFTER HIM!! AND GET THEM!!" She screamed, wildly gesturing to both Jett escaping, and the looming Maestros and Negabosses.
Half of the semi-naked guards ran off to find Jett, while the other half stayed behind to fight the Negabosses. Lance turned to the Negabosses "You heard her, she wants a fight. Who are we to deny her that right." He said, his eyes giving a glow. The guards began shooting, but Purrla just simply stopped time, and the bullets floated in their place, much to Prim's horror. Anjellica also had a say in the chaos as she dove into the sea from a nearby balcony.
When she DID reappear again, she was accompanied by a horde of very angry sea creatures. "ATTACK!!!!" She shouted, causing the sealife to take action. Prim ducked and weaved as she struggled to avoid the wrath of the water, but that thought was thrown out the window as she was attacked left and right by crabs, jellyfish, squids, and even a very pod of dolphins. Meanwhile, the guards were dealing with a angry flock of seagulls who took to flying down and messing with their weaponry.
While the chaos of the sea was distracting Prim, Thea turned to see Aria, Lora and Skarlett with the antidote, pouring it into the fog machines to make it look like nothing happened yet. "Hurry up!" Lora whispered, heaving the liquidfied cure up to Aria and Skarlett. "We're moving as fast as we can!" She whispered back, pouring in the antidote.
Meanwhile with Prim, she screamed into her walkie talkie "ATTENTION ALL PERSONNEL, COMMENCE OPERATION FLYBISCUS!! REPEAT!! COMMENCE OPERATION FLYBISCUS!!" The sounds of planes were heard as crop dusters were seen flying over the hotel, much to Thea's horror. The sea attack had abruptly stopped as Anjellica was distracted by the planes, allowing the guards to get the upper hand. Prim then grabbed Thea by the head again, and this time she pulled her on stage.
"YOU. SING. NOW." She threatened, now holding up a syringe in her hand. Petrified, Thea began singing as the fog machines turned on. Prim smiled as she watched the fog envelope the crowd, before she hears a call from her Walkie Talkie "MA'AM! MA'AM! SOMETHING IS WRONG!!" A pilot yelled. Prim was suspicious, until she caught a whiff of the smoke...
And was horrified as it smelled like a tropical paradise.
Jett Skarlett and Maxie belong to @jettthespeeddemon
Lora Jade belongs to @alex-frostwalker
Aria belongs to @shadowqueen402

Brief Conversation with the Caribbean Sea - Frank Báez - Dominican Republic
Translator: Giselle Rodríguez Cid (Spanish)
Let me start by saying that the other day I met the Mediterranean Sea and it was a bit like meeting a forgotten actor.
I walked along the boardwalk hearing its waves that sounded like the cough of an asthmatic Joe Pesci.
Although more than a forgotten actor the sea reminded me of the mummies that they exhibit in the Cairo Museum.
Nothing to do with you, Caribbean Sea, this afternoon you have so much vigor that it looks like you're coming from the gym.
I do not know if I prefer you when you lie down calm as a lion in the middle of the meadow.
Or when you get angry and roar and you try to sodomize the coast in the manner of Marlon Brando
in The Last Tango in Paris. The pelicans and the seagulls they run off your fingers when
you try to catch them, it's as if you want to get out of your seabed, but your chains hold you
so hard that all you can do is shout and rant. Tell the me truth, aren't you bothered by
the cruise ships filled with the elderly and all that crap we throw at you? We have poisoned you, contaminated you.
Last year your coasts had so much seaweed it seemed that on our beaches a tourist
gave you syphilis. I told myself this looks ugly. And I wondered if this was not the end.
But instead of sending a tsunami and taking your revenge on our cities and erasing Miami from the map,
you went back to grazing your flock of waves in peace and harmony throughout the coast.
What else can I tell you? You are the sea Of my childhood, I've spent my life deciphering your words.
We both have aged, but despite the passage of time I keep coming to this reef
to talk to you with the same innocence as when I was a kid and walking around
your beaches I picked up a conch and I put it against my ear and you you spoke to me for the first time.

NO HARM NO FOUL
Idiomatic Meaning: Although a breach of some code or law may have occurred there is no need for punishment, apology or retribution if no actual damage occurred; If there was no bad outcome to an action, then there’s no need to be angry or upset about it.
Literal Meaning: The two negatives indicate that no one or no thing was hurt and no wrong was done. However “foul” is a homophone of “fowl”, meaning “bird”. In that case, if one only hears the phrase, one might think it meant there were no birds around when harm was not done.
Usage: Informal and formal spoken and written general American and British English. Often used in response to someone’s apology to indicate acceptance.
Origin: Mid-20th Century, American English or 16th century British English – This expression most likely comes from basketball. If a player breaks a rule but the action does not affect the outcome of the game, then the referee should not call a “foul” against that player. The expression first appeared in a 1956 newspaper sports column.  Within 10 years, the expression had taken on metaphoric meaning and applied to many other legal situations.  There is some contention that the idiom is much older going back to 16th century England and civil law which stated that there must be fault in order to collect damages if there is a civil wrong or hurt done to someone. Without injury caused by a fault there could no damages awarded.
Why is this funny? In the photo, we see a small flock of seagulls possible getting ready to attack a family or a group of friends sitting around a picnic table, about to have a meal. Perhaps the birds are only interested in the food. But anyone who has seen the Hitchcock movie, “The Birds” will immediately think that the birds might attack them. One of the picnickers asks the others if they think the birds will attack them. Someone responds, saying that it is possible but after the birds leave they, the people, will be safe. In other words, no one will get hurt if there are no birds, or fowl, around. Thus, “no harm, no foul”!
Sample Sentence: “Sorry for bumping into you.” “That’s OK, no harm, no foul.”

Sneezing fit – tests nasal septum
The word Gesundheit was first used in English in 1914. It became popular in the United States due to the many German immigrants who moved there. Many Americans may not be aware that Gesundheit is a German word, or even what it means.
Contrary ro popular belief, I experience sneezing fits

My child has encountered seagulls for the first time.
We went to the park, and given that we can’t socialise with people it’s just the two of us. We tried the slide but it was too new, tried the playground but the tan bark looked too delicious, so we just sat on the grass and watched the birds.
Little Honey Bee does not walk yet, but she does scoot along the ground on her butt and so he does this along the grass until she’s about a meter away and attracts the attention of some seagulls who were clearly hoping for a meal.
This makes Honey Bee very excited and she shows this excitement by grabbing baby handfuls of grass and throwing them around her head.
This looks quite a lot like people throwing food for the bird, so the seagulls go absolutely nuts of course and suddenly there is a flock of 30 swarming just a few feet from my child, who is now having the time of her life summoning angry white birds.

Could you (if you want to) make more bird!ereh?
Hey ♥️
mORE??
lord.
(more) bird! eren headcanons
Tumblr media
warnings; a mention of sex. but pure crack overall
a/n; why the fuck do you all want more of these 😟 should i be flattered or scared for y’all
Tumblr media
he becomes a yandere as a bird. like a literal yandere. he doesn’t leave you the fuck alone.
and he won’t hesitate to hurt those who lay a finger on you.
he’s watching you every moment of the day. eating? give him a piece, he’s down by your foot. showering? he’s by the window.
and it’s not illegal. why? because he’s a bird and is therefore immune to the law.
like i said in the last post, he will literally start screaming if you’re having sex with someone and he knows. but he’s secretly aroused by it. maybe he’s an exhibitionist. we don’t know
let’s say you’re having a beach day with your s/o and you two kiss. well eren knows how to summon a flock of seagulls.
you’re unsuspecting at first. then comes a flock of about 20 angry seagulls, all particularly bloodthirsty that day.
your s/o winds up in the hospital. the doctors thought it was a stabbing but you had to explain what the fuck happened.
eventually you adopt him as a pet because he won’t stop following around you everywhere.
well he looks nice on your shoulder at least? he’s just a big angry crow on your shoulder giving a death glare to anyone who locks eyes with you.
fun fact: crows can actually talk. eren only knows “micro dick” and “fuck you”

Tears of pain streamed down your face–the blood, sweat, and dirt sticking on your skin like glue. The atmosphere was thick and the air in your lungs was scarce as you tried your best to move through the debris. The smell of smoke carried throughout the air as screams of terror from innocent men, women, and children traveled through the once peaceful district.
The ground beneath you shook that made the core of the earth tremble in fear. Each step from the monstrous creatures made a spark of fear ignite inside of you. Fighting the creatures that kept you caged years ago was nothing compared to the trepidation you felt. Nausea formed in the pit of your stomach until you could feel the burning sensation eating away at the back of your throat. Despite knowing the area like the back of your hand, you had no idea where you should be  going. Your eyes constantly flickered through the fumes to find any escape route.
After the transformations of the new abnormals and Commander Pyxis's death, you were forced to transport yourself to the dock by foot, on the lookout for any injured civilians trying to find shelter, just like you. Keith Shadis, your instructor from your years in training, helped you and the rest of the Levi Squad fend off the creatures.
Seagulls let out their cries as they flocked towards the dock, each soaring away from the mess and the horizon. You refused to look behind you. A sigh of relief left your lips as the boat came into view. Finally, your shelter was near.
As you ran up the steps to reach the dock, familiar figures caught your eye as you gasped, waving your arm. “Jean!!”
The man who now had longer hair turned around in shock, his eyes widening at your form. “Y/N!”
A small sob wracked your body as you collapsed into his arms, finally giving up its last will to fight. His arms tightened around your weakened form as he held you close. Your frail body trembled in his grasp as your fingers curled against his once white shirt that was ripped in places, covered in the red substance of his blood and dirt from the chaos. You wheezed into his arms as you wracked your lungs for clear air to intake.
“H-He—”
Jean shushed you as he pushed your head into his chest as he held you close, closing his eyes as he heard your sobs of agony. He was in the dark just as much as you were. Even his comrades were clueless. Here they were, awaiting the departure of their ship as enormous creatures started their slow march to Paradis, their leader standing behind them with the cages of its ribs digging into the ground, resembling the structure of a dinosaur. This form sent him high above the air. Standing at 60 meters tall, this creature was superior to everyone else. The nape of its neck was all bone. Straight hair was covering the face of the holder, their head facing down. Steam emitted from the openings of bones, the fumes carrying through the air.
“What are we going to do, Jean?” you whispered, pulling away from his vice-like grip as you stared up at him, your lashes wet with your tears. “What about Eren?”
“I—” he choked up as he kept his eyes trained on the creatures in the far distance. He couldn’t answer you. He couldn’t lie either. Lying would give you false hope, and that was something he did not want to do. Honesty was one of Jean’s best qualities, and he knew that as well as you did. “— I don’t know what we’re going to do,” he whispered, looking down at you, the strands of his hair flowing in the hot air. “I don’t even know who Eren is anymore…”
You grew quiet as you dug your nails into the center of your palm, applying as much pressure as you could. The amount of pain you physically felt couldn’t compete with the pain that strangled your heart. You oh so desperately wanted to see the vast amounts of blue in his eyes, the small sparkle they had whenever he was looking at you. The way his lips quirked up when he laughed at your dumb jokes. His calloused hand with ridges and calluses that managed to fit against yours perfectly.
A hand placed on your shoulder kicked you out of your thoughts. A small hand gripped your muscle as a little sigh left your lips. “Y/N,” Mikasa started as she looked at you, her black orbs staring intently into yours. “We have to keep moving. If we stay here any longer, we’ll get crushed.”
You gulped as you saw Annie, Armin, Connie, and Jean, waiting for you and Mikasa to join aboard. “You have to trust Eren. After all, you love him, don’t you? So trust him,” she demanded, letting go of you as she placed a hand on your back, shoving you forward. “Don’t look back anymore. Only forward, Y/N.”
And she was right.
As everyone got settled on the ship, you walked over to the far end of the vessel. Your hands rested on the railing, fingers curling around the steel handling. Your eyelids fluttered shut as you tried your best to calm the frantic beating of your heart, inhaling as much air as you could before exhaling the stress. The smell of the saltwater filled you with a sense of uncertainty and fear. Your face felt clammy with your sweat and dried up blood stuck on your skin like glue. You desperately wanted to sleep and forget about the moments leading up to this hell hole.
A tear or two trailed down the side of your face, tracing the underline of your jaw before letting go of its hold and dripping onto your hand.
You longed to smile. You longed for laughter to erupt from the depths of your throat as you felt the wind carry through your hair, shivers running down your back. You longed to feel happy again. You longed for him.
Eren.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
It seemed like just yesterday you were admitted into the safety of Wall Rose, the only shelter you could obtain after the vicious attack on Wall Maria. You couldn’t find your parents anywhere in the foreign area. You assumed they either got eaten or had no other way to get into Wall Rose on the boats that carried countless of injured civilians. You decided on the latter, not wanting to think of the horrible fate your parents could have gone through.
You were just a mere, helpless ten year old, wandering the streets of the second wall. As you passed by some of the garrison soldiers, they muttered to themselves and called you a street rat. Your clothes looked more like worn-out rags, dirt splotches covering the once white material. Your feet felt heavier than you last remembered. You were always dragging your feet now, something your mother never failed to reprimand you of.
A bed.
What was that again? What did it feel like? Was it as warm as you remembered? Were the blankets still as comforting as they protected you from the harsh winters of hail and snow? Did it feel like your mother’s arms around you? Singing softly to you that everything was going to be okay?
Voices filled your ears as you turned around, noticing the commotion of a boy no older than you, yelling up at the superior officers. Your eyes widened as a hand was lifted in the air and came down to strike the boy across his face, sending him to the floor. Your eyes trained on a blond boy who came running in, standing in front of what you assumed was his friend in a protective stance, his smaller arms opening wide.
Their voices were inaudible to you. You could only see their angry expressions. Their eyebrows caved in, moving their hands as their mouths opened and closed frantically. A crowd of commoners gather by the stands to watch the scene at hand. The blond boy nodded his head eagerly, a forced smile on his round face as his sky blue eyes scanned the older men as they left.
Curiosity took over you as you continued to watch the boys interact. A girl with jet black long hair ran up to them, immediately checking up on the brunette boy. Must be their friend as well.
You quietly chewed on your bread as the brunette got off the floor, slapping the girl's hand, whose hand was near his head. He looked angry. He had a bruise forming on his left cheek, a small scratch on his forehead as he yelled at them, his little hand clenching into a fist. His turquoise eyes held so much sorrow and defeat. He stopped his yelling as he looked over his shoulder, his eyes locking with your orbs.
Your eyes widened as your cheeks heated up in embarrassment at being caught. Yet, the boy didn’t seem to break eye contact with you as he panted softly through his mouth, his shoulders heaving with every breath he took. You refused to look away as well, forming what some would have called a staring contest.
He growled before turning on his heel and made his way away from you. His friends behind him called out his name. You didn’t quite catch what they were saying. It looked like he was stomping with each step he took to get away from the area.
He didn’t look familiar at all. Maybe he was from the other districts? But perhaps you could have seen him before.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
The past two years were the hardest to endure if you had to be honest with yourself. Living on the streets was one thing, but making it without parents? Without your role models, you felt relatively small. Yet, you overcame obstacles and took refuge in a shelter they had for kids just like you. You were hoping to see that boy again, maybe go up to him and become his friend. But after that show, you felt like he had no intention of doing the same with you.
Military sign-ups were yesterday. As soon as the head director told the district you resided in about sign-ups, you were first to enlist.
You and many other children your age stood in lines, some facing each other, some with their backs turned to others. You stood up straight, keeping your shoulders back as you stared forward. Deep down, you hoped for the instructor to pass by you.
Luck was on your side as he walked past you. Even his presence was enough to make you cringe in your shoes. His boots hit against the dirt, the small particles crunching underneath his steps.
You could feel yourself grow small when he lifted one boy, headbutted him, and dropped him to the floor. Another boy did the salute wrong and ended up getting his temples rubbed hard with the instructor's knuckles. One girl was brave enough to be eating a potato and even had the audacity and ‘share half’ with him, but kept the more significant piece for herself in reality. She ended up having to run until she passed out.
In front of you was a brunette boy, his hard eyes trained on the spot above your shoulder. Your eyes lit up faintly at the sight of him. The view was quickly disturbed as the instructor stood in front of him.
“...Eren Jaeger!”
Eren, huh? That’s a nice name.
“Shinganshina District!”
Weren’t they hit hardest? Was the rest of his family okay?
“Kill them all!!”
He’s got drive. Kill them all? Sounds almost impossible at this rate. Maybe he’s an optimistic one.
Now you stood outside, in your ordinary clothes of black pants that were a bit too big and a white loose long sleeve with the sleeves scrunched up to your elbows. You watched as the girl continued her laps. ‘Potato Girl’ is what the rest of your class called her, although Sasha Blouse was her actual name. Your elbows touched the worn-out wood of the patio, and you were surprised that you haden’t received any splinters.
It was hot. Even from under the shade, you could feel the sun beating down on you. Thankfully, training was shortly cut after a few minutes of hand to hand combat. You were paired up with one of the boys, Armin Arlert. He was sweet, almost too precious to be here in the military. He was an easy opponent to go against. You took him out in less than eight minutes. You felt bad for him after.
“She’s still running, huh?”
You hummed in response as you looked over your shoulder. Your orbs locked with bright water eyes, the boy in front of you looking down at you from his height. He wore an olive green loose fitted shirt, a small dip by his collarbones with strings attached to either side, almost in a cross-stitch fashion. His shirt was tucked into the brown pants that seemed to fit him well with matching color shoes. “Yeah, she still is.”
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
“Eren Jaeger!”
A proud moment for the said boy. The brunette walked up and stood in line beside his female comrade, Annie Leonhart. Having placed fifth in the top ten of his class was an accomplishment. Not only was he getting closer to fulfill his dreams of becoming a member of the Survey Corps, but he was also getting closer to being outside. To see what the books always stated. The books that Armin made him swear that he wouldn’t tell a soul.
Was it vast amounts of salt that it was endless? Ice that seemed never to melt? Huge marks of land that grew beneath the earth and wouldn’t move in their lifetime? The greenery, was it as beautiful as the drawings?
He couldn’t help but let those thoughts swarm his mind as he stayed still, not paying attention. His eyes trained on the lit-up torches, their flames dancing with their embers popping off, and the wind immediately blowing them out. Each crack of the orange flames kept his attention away from the graduation at hand.
“Christa Lenz!”
At the name of the petite blonde, Eren blinked in shock. Christa? She made it? Was she the last one? Who else made it? God, he was so invested in his thoughts that he didn’t hear who made it past Jean, who was ranked sixth in the 104th cadet corp.
“These are the top of your class!”
With a turn of their heel, each newly graduated soldiers faced the rest of their class, each letting out a cry in unison as they saluted. His heart was racing. He could burst. A newfound look was glinting in his eyes as the fire’s light reflected off of his orbs. His blood was pumping as he itched to be able to choose his regiment finally. He waited for this moment since his father told him about the people who risk their lives for humanity.
He was ready.
A face in the crowd caught his attention. He could see a face with a bright smile from the corner of his eye, like a light shined on them and singled them out. He looked over and made eye contact with you. You greeted him. Out of everyone, you chose to look his way. He caught sight of your lips moving before you shot him a thumbs up.
‘I’m proud.’
His lips curled up in a faint smile as he mouthed something back to you, enjoying the way your smile seemed to brighten and the way you looked back down at your feet. He felt his cheeks warm up in the slightest as he felt more relaxed than he was before.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
No, no, no, this wasn’t supposed to happen. They were out of the oven and ready to face anything. Titans weren’t supposed to infiltrate Wall Rose. The Colossal Titan shouldn’t have reappeared again. He should have been gone! What was worse was that he shouldn’t even have this type of power. The one thing he despised most in this world, and he was now one of them.
A monster.
Everyone now targeted him. Everyone now hated him. Everyone wanted him dead.
“Eren isn’t a monster!”
Why did you defend him? Didn’t you think he was a monster as well?
“He can save us!”
A hero? Is that what you thought about him?
He was shocked by the number of screams and shouts in the courtroom that day. The Garrison wanted nothing to do with him. The Military Police wanted to use his body for science. The Survey Corps wanted to use his newfound ability to take back the land that the Titans took from them.
Out of all the screams there, yours was the only one he could hear. Your tearful expression gave him a pain he didn’t want ever to feel again. Your fingers curled around the iron railings that separated you from him. Your body racked with each shout of his name, begging for them to let him go. Weren’t you scared of him? He almost killed Mikasa. He could quickly lose control and possibly kill you. Just thinking about that outcome sent shivers down his spine.
In his cell, it was dark and smelled a bit off. The guards watching him didn’t spare him another glance, making snide comments about him. No matter how many times Eren begged, they refused to listen.
The sound of footsteps caught his attention as the voice of a female filled his ears.
“I’m here on visit! Captain Levi and Squad Leader Hanji permitted me too!”
Y/N? You came to visit him?
“Why would you visit him, huh?”
“Because I want to, sir! So please, if you excuse us!”
He could hear the faint sounds of curse words from his cell and the shoes' soles hitting the damp floor as their footsteps decreased in noise.
He was still confused deep down. Why did you come?
“Eren?”
“Y-Y/N.”
You walked closer to his cell, the flames of the torches illuminating your way as your face shone through the darkness, your smile never faltering.
“Why did you come..?”
“I wanted to visit you, Eren. Especially after the trial,” you whispered and wrapped your fingers around the iron bars. “Mikasa and Armin are worried sick about you. But I wanted to come and see you myself. Luckily I got permission from our superiors.”
Eren gaped at you. His mouth parted as the insides felt incredibly dry all of a sudden. He moved his hand and felt a weight resting on his wrists. The chains' heavy metal kept him restrained, keeping him from doing something that could get him killed.
“Why would you want to see a monster like me?” he growled and leaned forward, gritting his teeth to the point where there was a small ache in his gums.
“A monster?” you whispered, your eyes glazing with confusion. “Is that what you think of yourself as?”
There was a moment of silence before you continued. “I don’t think you’re a monster, Eren. You’re far from a monster. That’s out of the question. You saved us in Trost! A monster could never do that!”
“Yeah, but—”
“No,” you interrupted, shaking your head. “A monster kills and creates fear in others. I’m not scared of you. You don’t scare me. You give me hope, Eren. You’re our savior, or at least my savior.”
Eren could feel his heart flutter at your statement. Is that what you thought of him? As your savior? Was that too much to consider? No. It wasn’t.
He licked his lower lip and looked up, locking eyes with your own. He could feel a new set of tears form slowly as he blinked away quickly. He opened his mouth, speaking with determination and courage. “Y/N, I'll be your savior.“
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
These were the days Eren enjoyed the most. The times where he was finally let out of his cell and able to wander around, of course, with an officer or a comrade with him.
As soon as he stepped out into the outside, he immediately let out a sigh of relief as the fresh air filled his lungs. A pleased hum rumbled in his chest as he opened his eyes. As he waited by the doors, he watched the leaves of the tree sway in the breeze. It brought a small smile to his face, knowing that he was still alive.
Today, Eren had some plans. He wanted to lounge around in the grass as he stared up at the sky, and wanted to go into the districts. He was more cautious about the latter, not wanting anyone to yell at him for any past actions or the fact he was a Titan.
“Eren!”
He looked over his shoulder and smiled, waving slightly. “Hey! Are you coming with me?”
With a skip to your step, you nodded as you approached him. “That I am! Captain Levi thought it would be good to let me come instead of someone else! Or him, I should say, but he said he had business to take care of with Commander Erwin!”
“Oh? I wonder what it is. Must be something important.”
You hummed in response as you started to walk with him. “What did you want to do?”
He looked down at you before training his eyes back forward. “Just want to enjoy the day.”
And that he did.
The trip to the districts deep in Wall Rose went well, minus the small groups of people calling him out and saying he was a monster. That part wasn’t fun. Who knew you knew how to cuss someone out.
You guys didn’t buy much, only the things that would help get you through the day. Some small snacks that Eren remembered eating as a child. It brought some memories to him, something he thought he had forgotten as the years went by.
On the other hand, you talked for most of the trip, not that he was complaining, of course. He loved to hear you talk. If anything, he would rather hear your voice the rest of his life than his other comrades. Your voice soothed him. Like you were the medicine to heal his aching wounds that needed to be fixed.
You both lay quietly in an open field of grass, the Survey Corps headquarters in view. Your fingers picked at the soft blades of green, mindlessly running through the patches of dirt.
You quietly stared up at the sky, humming softly. Eren matched your position as he quietly listened to the humming you produced. Both of you had taken your shoes off, your feet sore from the walking you did through town today. He wiggled his toes in the tall blades, letting out a sigh of content.
Eren took a glance at you before looking back up at the sky then did a double-take. Your eyes were closed, eyelashes resting against the upper swell of your cheeks. Your chest shifted up and down slowly, your hands resting by your sides. The rays of the sunlight shone against your complexion, your hair sprawled underneath your head in a way that made you look ethereal. An angel. An angel in this hell.
He preferred seeing you like this instead of covered in blood and tears. Your black long sleeved shirt hugged your curves. Your light brown ankle-length skirt somehow brought out an angelic yet simplistic look on you. Eren felt his cheeks heat up as he scooted over slowly, his hand brushing against yours.
You opened your eyes, making eye contact with his orbs. Your neck heated up, the warmth radiating to your face. Oh, he was so close.
Small puffs of air exerted from your lips as you glanced at his lips before looking into his eyes.
Eren gulped lowly before slowly leaning in. You mimicked his movement as your lips met in a sweet kiss, both of your eyes closed, ignoring the rest of the world as you only focused on the person beside you. You laced your fingers with his, feeling his calloused palm rub against yours.

The 57th expedition was a disaster. Too many casualties, too many to be counted, and too many unnamed soldiers.
The Survey Corps were dealing with so much already. Not only was the mission a failure, the Military Police was requesting Eren’s presence. For what? To dissect him and experiment on his titan capabilities.
Even during the escort by Annie, his friends, including you, were there. Commander Erwin Smith came up with the conclusion that the identity of the female titan was none other than Annie Leonhart. Of course, Eren was in utter shock. How could someone he has known for three years be the ultimate traitor? It just didn’t make sense.
And as always, the Commander’s suspicions were correct. In the flesh, the female titan appeared, and Eren had no choice but to stay behind as you and Mikasa tried pursuing her. With the help of Jean and Armin, he was able to transform fully.
He still couldn’t come to terms with it. Here she was, a full-blown murderer standing in front of him. He had no choice but to defeat her right now. As always, Eren doubted his abilities until he froze, noticing you on the floor, passed out as Jean quickly lifted you. That’s where he lost it. Streaks of orange covered his body as he let red hot anger take over his senses.
That was the last thing he remembered before he fluttered his eyes open, his brown tresses swaying slightly from the open-air that flowed in from the window. His turquoise eyes studied the ceiling before he slowly turned his head to the side, noticing your figure standing by the opening.
“Y/N?”
At the sound of his voice, he watched you whip your head around as a sigh of relief exerted from your lips. “You’re awake, thank goodness.” A small, sad smile graces your features as you walk over to him, bandages reaching from your shoulder to your forearm. Eren took notice as his lips turned down, sitting up from his previous position.
“You’re hurt.”
“Yeah.” You averted your eyes and sat by the foot of his bed. “It’s okay, though. I’m fine. What about you? How are you feeling?”
“I’m…” he trailed off and brought a hand to his bronze cup, curling his fingers around the metal, grunting softly. “I’m fine. Where is everyone else?”
You reached for his hand, lacing your fingers with his as you squeezed gently. “Mikasa was just here. Armin and Jean got called in before her.”
“What do they need you for?”
“I don’t know.” You sighed softly, brushing his hair out of his face. “I haven’t got called in yet. I’m not sure if I will.”
“That was her..? What happened?”
You stayed silent as you looked down at your lap. “She’s frozen.”
“Frozen? What do you mean?”
“She’s in a crystal. We can’t break through, no matter how hard we try. She’s underground. Hanji is there right now with Captain Levi.”
“She got away?”
“...yes.”

Traitors. Enemies of humanity. Murders. Warriors.
His friends in training, his comrades, his motivators.
They were not who they said they were.
Reiner and Bertolt, the Armored and Colossal Titan.
It happened way too fast. The Beast titan came running in and destroying Wall Rose. His friends getting stuck at Utgard Castle with all the superior officers dead. Ymir was their only source of protection as she used her titan capabilities that no one knew about, not even Christa. With the help of the Survey Corp, everyone was able to reach safety.
Or so they thought.
Eren thought Reiner wanted to have a simple conversation with him.
“I’m the Armored Titan. Bertolt here is the Colossal.”
What kind of sick joke was that?
Eren tried laughing it off but felt sick to his stomach. Something was telling him that he was dead serious. “Come on, cut the crap. That’s not even funny. Let’s just get back.”
There was yelling on Reiner’s end as he removed his makeshift cast, dropping it on the wall. Bertolt yelled for his blonde friend to stop, asking if it was the right time now. Mikasa charged at them as she slashed Reiner’s arm and stabbed Bertolt through his neck.
“Mikasa!!” you yelled in anger as you ran towards them with Hanji and Armin on your tail.
Too quick. In a flash, the two boys Eren thought he knew were in the flesh of their titan forms. Having to fight not only Annie but Reiner as well was making Eren doubt those around him. How many other traitors were there? Were you one?
No. You weren’t. Eren trusted you with his life. He trusted your word no matter what.
Their former comrades kidnapped Ymir and Eren. Getting them back would have to be the most challenging mission you will have to accomplish.
It was brutal fighting against Reiner. He was throwing titans everywhere, with Bertolt clinging onto him with dear life. Mikasa was with Eren. She was injured but would be alright. A sudden strike of lightning sent all of the Titans in the direction of the one that ate Hannes. It was like a change of time, a shift of reality as the two managed to escape from the hell they had to witness, once again.
As everyone gathered up on the wall, you rushed towards Eren, tears welling up in your eyes. “Eren!”
The brunette boy turns around as his eyes soften, bracing for impact as your body collides with his. His arms wrap around your shaking body, burying his head in the crook of your neck. Small sobs escaped your lips as you tried quieting yourself down. “I’m not leaving you, Y/N,” Eren whispers into your ear, placing a gentle kiss on the crown of your head.
You still didn’t lose any hope. You were an angel in this world, always giving him the reassurance he needed.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
Every time Eren closed his eyes, he relived life through his father’s view. He could hear the screams and shouts as he begged the royal family to end this nightmare.
Frieda, the rightful owner of the Founding Titan, went against Grisha, Eren’s father. He could see the blood splattering against the crystal walls. He could feel the bodies smashing against his hands. Each ghost-like touch sent shivers down his spine.
“Stop this!! Why won’t you?!”
Eren’s eyes fluttered open, his orbs adjusting to the brightness of the sun. Where was he?
A hand running through his hair broke him out of his train of thought. Finger pads rubbed his scalp softly, a humming melody filling his ears. “You’re awake.”
“Huh?” He looked up at you, bringing a hand up to his eyes and rubbed them softly, wiping off the remnants of sleep. “How long was I out for?”
“Maybe an hour or so,” you replied, flipping the next page in your book as you took in every word the paper had to offer. “You look...very tired, though.”
“I feel drained,” Eren confessed as he relished the way your fingers soothe him. “It’s hard for me to get complete rest without seeing them.”
“Them?” you asked, puzzled by his word choice. “Who are they?”
“The royal family,” he muttered and closed his eyes only to reopen them once more. “How my dad murdered them only for power. They wouldn’t listen to him. He kept saying they should stop this, that they could end it.”
“What else happened?”
“They refused. The girl...Frieda was her name, I think. She was Historia’s half-sister. She fought my dad instead of fixing anything, and in return, he ate her. Then later that day, he came by and picked me up, taking me to a forest. He told me I could end it, saying I have to reach the basement. And he injected me with fluid, and I ended up eating him.”
You stayed silent as you listened to him speak. You knew some things went on in Eren’s head, but you weren’t expecting something like this.
“Do you—“ you paused before continuing, “—wish he didn’t do that?”
“I don’t know,” he whispered, clenching his fists as he stared up in the blue sky, watching birds fly off into freedom. “Things would have been way different if he hadn’t. Trost would have never been repaired.”
“Well...” you trailed off and grabbed his face in your hand, forcing him to face you. “If things weren’t the way they were, everything would be off. Trost would have been different...maybe the situation with Annie would have been different. Reiner and Bertolt..we would have never found out who they were. Be proud of who you are, Eren. Cause, in the end, you’re the only one who can save us,” you whisper, stroking his cheek with the pad of your thumb. “You’re our savior.”
He doesn’t respond, only closes his eyes and feels the feathery touch of your lips brushing against his. He leaned up slightly, wrapping his arm around your waist to bring you close to him, rubbing small circles on your back. Eren could feel your lips tug up somewhat in a small smile as your fingers curled around the material of his olive green shirt.

The Beast Titan arrived with its minion in a line. The Armored Titan and the Colossal Titan were suspected to make an entry somehow.
Armin was put in charge of finding them. There was an open cavity in the wall as Reiner emerged from the inside, killing the soldier who found him in the process.
A shrill scream filled the air as Levi made his way down the wall at top speed, stabbing the blond male right through the neck. Reiner’s eyes rolled back before coming back to normal position.
Smoke covered the area as a shadow came to position. The soldiers drew back as they watched the Armored Titan lying on the floor.
“Blades ready!!” The commander’s voice rang through the air, each soldier listening to his command.
This was the mission that they would take back to Wall Maria, where Eren could finally reach the basement in his home, where everything started.
Two squads were separated. One would be joining Captain Levi to fight against the Beast Titan. The other would be dealing with Reiner and the possible appearance of the Colossal titan.
“We need a plan!” you yelled over the commotion of Eren fighting against the Armored. “There has to be a way we can defeat Reiner using our thunder spears!” You looked over your shoulder and moved out of the way, a boulder landing where you were just at.
Before anything could happen, it got worse. A barrel was sent above the air, which only meant one thing.
“Everyone, get on Eren!” Armin yelled as everyone kept a firm grip on Eren’s long locks as he ran away from the vicinity.
Eren growled as he hid behind a home, far away from both titans.
“We still need that plan! Before we know it, he can kill us all right here if he wants too!” Connie cries out, looking over his shoulder constantly at the 60-meter creature of pure flesh.
Jean took command. You were to run beside Mikasa and get the back of the knees while Connie and Sasha would aim for the corner of his lips, allowing access for you to come up as fast as you could and throw the spear into his mouth that would hit the back of his throat.
Of course, Eren went head-on and latched himself onto the Colossal’s foot that only sent him flying and collided with the top of the wall, temporarily paralyzing him.
“I’ll go after Eren! I know a way we can defeat Bertolt! Trust me!” Armin yells, his eyes frantically searching over everyone. “You can do this! Belief in yourself!” And with that, Armin made a detour around both titans and on top of the wall where Eren was currently at.
It didn’t go as planned. Sasha had missed her target on his lip. Your eyes widened as it began to explode. “Sasha!” you yelled, pushing her out of harm’s way.
A cry of pain emitted from your lips as the explosions caught half of your body. You already knew burns would take its place as your figure shot backward, colliding with a house and fell. A crack was heard underneath as your leg was bent in a way it shouldn’t have.
Eren was stuck. He couldn’t move his body no matter how hard he tried. His eyes were open as he groaned inside the body's heat, desperately trying to move an arm or anything. He had to move.
He probably looked pathetic. A pathetic excuse of a savior for those around him. He couldn’t even control the limp body. He could feel his eyes roll back into his skull. What were you doing? Were you safe? Were you disappointed?
He missed you already. He missed your bright smile that could make him feel better in an instant.
He hated them. He hates them. Traitors. He wished they weren’t real. Because of them, his mother was dead, his father as well. If only they hadn’t come and destroyed everything, maybe everything would be better.
“Eren!”
Armin? He came? How did he make it past Reiner and Bertolt?
“I know a way we can defeat Bertolt! But you have to trust me!”
Trust was a big word. But Eren trusted him. He trusted Armin’s every word.
If only he knew the actual outcome, he would have never agreed to this. Here Eren was, in front of the hole of Wall Maria as he sealed it, concentrating at the task at hand while Armin was being burned alive on his own free will.
Why would he sacrifice himself like that? Didn’t he want to see the outside?
Course he did. Armin was a genius. He knew what he had to do to take both traitors down.
It seemed to happen in slow motion but happened so quickly. Eren was able to harden up and shield a barrier in Wall Maria and sliced Bertolt out of the nape.
A man with blonde hair and a beard was tied up to what seemed like a new breed of a titan. His arms were chopped off as steam emitted from his wounds. Was this the Beast Titan?
“You’re a victim of your father.”
Dad? No. Who was he? He didn’t know this man at all. How did he know about his dad? Were they old friends from years ago? Was he a coworker?
None of that mattered.
The fight over the serum was the biggest thing that day. Eren yelled and got in his captain’s face, begging for him to pick Armin instead of the commander. Levi had no choice but to kick him out of his way, which caused Mikasa to attack and almost kill him.
Levi was right. They were letting their emotions get the best of them. He knew his decision off the bat.
From afar, the scouts could hear Bertolt’s screams at the top of his lungs, begging for another chance, begging for the trust that he had lost.
Now that everything seemed to be okay, the soldiers were resting on top of the wall, each checking up on their injuries or catching up with a friend.
You laid limply as your eyes were shut, burn marks, and bruises forming on your face's right side. Your leg wasn’t properly put back in place, but Hanji moved it into a correct position while you were unconscious, even if broken. A green cape was draped over your chest. Your once white pants were littered with your blood and debris.
You’ve been unconscious for a while now, and you didn’t show any signs of waking up soon, but your chest's steady movement brought relief to your comrades.
Eren was beside you, his hand holding your left hand as he squeezed gently, watching any expressions you could make. A bandage covered your head that reached below your ear. How could this happen? You were safe one minute and then injured the next. He was supposed to protect you. He was supposed to be your hero. Your savior.
Armin had woken up slowly as his friends bombarded him, Levi standing behind the both of them. The shorter male forced the brunette to tell him what happened. When he wasn’t pleased, he kicked Eren in his back, enough to hurt him.
“I said everything, you brat.”
“You guys talk...loud…” You groaned in pain, moving your head as your eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the blue sky above you. Eren gasped as he quickly crawled over to you, not that far to begin with.
“You’re awake!”
“Please, Eren, don’t scream so loud,” you whisper, a small smile curling at your lips. “But yeah, I’m awake.”
Eren teared up as he grabbed your hand, bringing it to his chest. “I thought I lost you.”
“Come on, don’t be silly. You can’t get rid of me that easily.”
He looked away as he felt the warmth of your hand radiating into his enclosed one. All of his worries could be forgotten now. You were still here, breathing in front of him. You were alive. You weren’t dead.
“We still have to go to the basement, Eren,” Mikasa reminded him, placing a hand on his shoulder. The brunette shook his head stubbornly.
“I can’t. Not without Y/N.”
Mikasa opened her mouth but then closed, glancing over to her superior, who was unamused. All of this work, just for him to say no.
“Listen, Jaeger. We have to go whether you like it or not. We came all this way for that basement. We are going.”
“B-But Captain—“
“Eren,” you whispered, and weakly lifted a hand, cradling the side of his face in a gentle hold. It took all of your might to lift a limb. “Go.”
“I can’t go without y—“
“Go, Eren. You have to. This was what everything was for, right?” you said softly, squeezing his cheek gently. “I’ll be here waiting for you. When you get back, you can tell me everything.”

Fall turned to Winter. Winter turned to Spring. The snow melted off the ground as a new season of life began. Citizens were now allowed to move back into Wall Maria, the titans eradicated during the harsh winters. With the help of Eren’s hardening skills, they could make a gadget that allows them to smash a titan’s nape open without losing any more soldiers.
A year from where they were, the Scouts ventured off into the open area once more, a sense of relief flooding each of them, as no titans were in sight except for one.
Eren placed his hand on it. His comrades were wary of his actions.
“This one was sent to Paradis. This means it’s a fellow patriot,” he whispered, as his longer hair swayed in the wind. He pulled away from the creature as he walked back to his horse. “We should be getting closer now.”
Red hot sand floated into the air as the horses ran across, itching to reach their destination. You were beside Eren. Your injuries healed miraculously;  the only reminder was a slash across your right cheek. There was a small frown on your lips as you kept your eyes forward.
Sometimes he wondered how you were still here. Not in that way, but by his side after all this time. Was he indeed the savior you thought of him as?
“This is it,” Eren whispered as they rode past a grey cement wall, at least 25 meters high. “I remember this from my old man’s memories. On the other side, that should be it.”
As in his father’s memories, it was true. The horses slowed to a stop at the sand base, each soldier in awe as they stared at the waters.
Bluer than the sky, the ocean rippled as waves crashed against the shore. The sun’s rays reflected off of the waters as the smell of salt filled their noses. This was it. This was the moment.
Your eyes widened with shock, your mouth utterly open as you stared in wonder. You lost the ability to speak. The air felt weird; you weren’t used to being in the open like this. You felt like a baby deer, being let out into the wild for the first time without its mother.
A choked noise left your throat as you looked over at Eren, who didn’t look amused at all. He was frowning, his eyebrows furrowed as he stared ahead. To you, it didn’t look like he was happy.
It was like every soldier suddenly turned to little kids. Sasha, Connie, and Jean immediately ran into the water, boots off and pants rolled up to their knees. The trio splashed water into each other’s eyes, pushing each other and even drinking it, to which Jean yelled out about how salty it was.
You let out a shriek as you jumped up, the cold waters hitting your shins. The feeling of it splattering on you was something you didn’t expect. You let out a laugh as you kicked at the water, throwing your arms up in happiness.
You remember the endless nights where Eren would recall random memories from his father. You still couldn’t get the thought of a delicious cold treat called ice cream out of your head. Just the way he described it made you crave it.
This one was the most significant memory Eren had ever told you. Vast amounts of sea creatures living in the salty oceans, trinkets, and jewels buried deep in the depths of darkness. The dullness on his voice whenever he spoke broke your heart. Where was the loud boy you knew three years ago?
“Y/N! Look!” Armin called out as he ran over to you, holding something in his enclosed hands. “I found a shell! Not just any! A conch!”
“Ooo.” You looked over as his hands opened, revealing a blue china like shell, the ridges at the top shining with the soft light of the sun beating down on everyone. “That’s pretty! Have you shown Eren yet?”
“I haven’t! Hey Eren! Look!” he yelled as he followed you to where your boyfriend was at. He stood there, unfazed as the water crashed against his shins in slow waves. His long-sleeve was rolled up to his elbows, his neck craned as he stared at the sky. The cries of the seagulls flying up above started to make Eren grow anxious.
He despised them. He hated how they could grow a pair of wings and fly free from any worries that humans have. They had their freedoms; Eren didn’t. The brunette shifter took a step forward, kicking the water as he stopped moving, lowering his head as his bangs covered his eyes.
“Eren?” you asked softly as you placed a hand on his shoulder, immediately recoiling as you felt how tense he was. “What’s wrong? Aren’t you happy to see the ocean?”
“Yeah,” he whispered as he looked ahead yet again, his turquoise eyes looking over the horizon as if he was searching for something. “Just on the other side...”
“What did you say?” you ask, taking a small step back.
“On the other side...are our real enemies.” He lifted his hand slowly, sticking his index finger out. “If we cross this ocean, and kill our enemies, will we finally be free?”
He couldn’t stop. He had come this far; he had to keep on pushing forward. He knew the outcome. He knew he had to keep on fighting. Eren knew what he had to do, the mission. The task his dad told him to do before his son ate him. Deep down, he knew it wouldn’t end well. But if it meant freedom for you and his friends, he would do it.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
Eren’s demeanor changed drastically as he witnessed his friend enjoying the outside world firsthand. All of them were dressed up in fancy clothing to blend in with the citizens outside Paradis. The Scouts managed to infiltrate Marley with no problems at all.
Eren watched you from his peripheral vision, a small smile curling on his lips at the reaction of ice cream hitting your lips for the first time. A squeal emitted from your cold mouth as you gasped in excitement, holding the treat to his lips. “You have to try some! It’s so good!!”
“I bet it is,” he hummed as he took his top hat off, placing it against his chest as he leaned against the railings.
“What’s wrong? You don’t seem excited about being here.”
“I’ve seen it all already from my dad’s memories. It’s cool to see it first hand, but the excitement of living the moment is gone.”
You move over beside him, your shoulders touching as you lick the white goodness off the cone, humming softly. “What else do you know about?”
He stayed silent as he listened to the kids' constant cries behind him, parents yelling at them to calm down. “Not much,” There is much. “It’s pretty boring,” It's life or death. “Nothing too big to know about,” It’s big, and it's coming soon. You have to be ready.
You pout as you grab his hand, squeezing it gently, tracing his knuckles with the pad of your thumb, enjoying the ridges of his skin underneath yours. “Sounds pretty boring. Your dad must have been a lame man.”
“Yeah, that’s one way to put it,” he hummed as he wrapped an arm around your waist, bringing you close to his side as his lips pressed gently on your temple.
The meeting didn’t go well. A representative spoke to all of you about Historia, the rightful queen now sitting on the throne. As soon as she was brought up, you noticed Eren stand up and walk out of the meeting. You frown as you watch the door swing shut, Eren’s footsteps retracting as he walks down the hall.
Eren ventured outside of the place, his veins filling with dread and agony. He hated it. He hated that this place will be covered in red, dirt, and bones in a couple of months. Debris upon debris resting on innocent citizens, the stomping of giant creatures marching across the earth.
He knew this had to be done. There was no other option. He had to do it. He had to end them.
He walked with a stern look in his eyes. His hands shoved in the front pocket of his coat. His body had changed over the years. Now he was 19 years old, and his hair reached the top of his shoulder. He’s gotten taller as his shoulders broadened. He was different from who he used to be. He doesn’t have much longer, and everyone knews it. Eren only had four years of life left until he passed on, giving his power to the next successor of the Attack Titan and the Founding Titan.
He heard adults yelling at children who stole, begging for anyone to stop them. Eren would do it, but stopped himself in mid-motion. He could help them all he wanted now, but he couldn’t help them later. It was useless. In time, they would be nothing but blood and a pile of rotten bodies.
He walked down the streets of the town, taking in each random detail they had to offer. The houses looked nice for now. The ground was more gravel than cement. He’s not a fan of gravel floors. Stands were put up for random things, which was cool for the owners. He wondered how much time they all have.
Day turned into night as Eren made his way back to his friends, entering a tent that a family was friendly enough to let them stay for a bit. He found it amusing that they were all able to get along quite well.
He couldn’t remember how it happened. One minute they were all fine, laughing and smiling. Then the next, the conversation fell dark to the point that Eren walked himself out again, a single tear trailing down his face.
He couldn’t stare at their faces, knowing the outcome. Whenever he stared at the young boy from earlier, he saw dirt. How futile it was to try and help him when the boy was going to die soon.
You too, he couldn’t stand to see your smiling face, unaware of the destruction he was going to cause. Your laugh only tightened the strings around his dull heart.
“Eren?” you called out, emerging out from the tent. “What happened?”
“Huh?” He lifted a hand and wiped his tears with the pad of his finger. “Nothing. I just wanted to come outside. I needed a break from that.”
“Are you okay? You’ve been acting strange ever since we got here. What’s going on?” You walked over to him, your bare feet hitting the ground as you stopped beside him, grabbing his hand.
He stayed silent as he stared at the night sky, his eyes reflecting the moon’s light as it brightened your path. Mountains were in the distance. You could make out their silhouette from where you stood. There was a chilly breeze that made goosebumps form on your arm. The trees surrounding the area created a barrier from the outside world, the leaves falling from the branches as they swayed with the swishes of air. Eren let out a puff of air, the fumes blending in.
He had been more distant. He knew that  he had. He needed to keep it this way. He was going to ask you, and he knew your response. Yet, he needed to hear it up close. Maybe you could change his mind. Possibly, there would be a look in your eyes that will make up his mind. He didn’t want to kill innocent civilians. He wanted to get away from this mess and live the rest of his life that he has left. Yet, his calling of freedom was knocking at his door, and could only wait for so much longer.
“Something will happen, Y/N,” Eren whispered into the cold air, turning on his heel to face you. “I don’t want it to.”
“What do you mean something is going to happen? Is it something with your father’s memories?” you asked, placing a hand on his arm.
“No, it’s not. It’s me. They are my memories. It can’t be stopped.”
“What are you talking about, Eren? You aren’t making sense.”
“Y/N,” he said and looked down at you. His eyes were sad. They held a thousand mysteries, puzzles that were begging to be put together for someone to understand the story behind it genuinely. “What am I to you..?”
“Huh?” you searched his eyes, only getting the sense of defeat and sorrow. His eyes weren’t bright anymore. They’re not as bright as they used to be. His drive was still there, but not the same. He didn’t show it anymore to anyone. He became reserved as he refused to tell anyone but yourself or maybe Armin. That was it.
“What am I to you, Y/N?”
“You’re my boyfriend,” you finally answered him, your mouth going dry. “Why are you asking me that question, Eren..?”
“Of course..” he muttered, ignoring your question as he grabbed both of your hands in his, holding them to his chest. “Do you trust me?”
“You didn’t an-”
“Do you trust me,” he demanded, his own eyes welling up with tears. “Do you?”
“Course I do,” you breathed out, your voice cracking as your tone pitched up. “Why wouldn’t I..?”
“I just needed to hear you say that. Promise me, that even after, you’ll still put your faith in me.”
“I- I promise, Eren. B-But, what is going to happen? Will you be okay? Will we be okay…?”
“Don’t ask such silly questions,” he muttered and brought you closer to him, enveloping you in his warmth. “I have something I want to show you. I saw it when I went out earlier.”
And with that, he did. Hand in hand as he walked you to a secluded area. A blanket was spread out in front of a pond. He led you to it as you both laid down on it, star gazing as he let you ramble about mindless things, pointing up at the constellations. The nagging voice in the back of his head kept reminding him of his plan, but he had better things to focus on.
You.
Laying here with you reminded him of the first time you ventured into town with him, the moment he knew he wanted you by his side out of everyone. Now, at 19, you had matured a lot since then. Your skirt hugged your curves as your jacket clung onto you in the cold. The moon illuminated your complexion but mostly brought out your award-winning smile. He couldn’t help but let out a hum as he leaned over you, bringing a hand to cradle your face, lowering his head as his lips captured yours in a sweet kiss.
The evening was spent with breathless words of love and sweet confessions between the both of you. One final moment of tranquility and serenity for him, for you. One last kiss, one last touch, one last gasp of the others name. One last time, before he leaves.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
Eren’s eyes opened slowly as he took in his surroundings. His eyes drooped as he watched the houses below burn up and explode from the fires. In front of him were massive creatures, marching slowly to their destination.
How long had it been since he was dreaming?
Where was everyone?
Where were you? God, were you safe? Were you on high ground? Please be safe, please, please.
Ever since he got into his form, his eyes fluttered shut as he went into a slumber like a mode as his memories played like a movie that he had no control of. He remembers how he first got into this mess, his training years. Those years inspired him to do better, to be better than the rest. To show everyone that his goal of eradicating the titans will come true.
Trost showed him that not everyone would be on his side. That some could turn on you quickly at any sign of danger. You had to be ready for people to switch sides regarding the situation.
Not everyone was who they say they are. Reiner, Annie, Bertolt. The warriors that caused Eren’s story to have a beginning. The ones who started this cursed cycle of death upon death.
Eren slowly lifted his head, his long brown hair covering his whole face. He could feel the marks ingraining into his skin, how he hated them.
He heard children screaming from below before there was silence, signifying their death. He internally hated himself for what had happened, for the monster he had become. If his father stopped it back then when the Colossal and the Armored first broke down Wall Maria, would this have happened? Was there a sign he didn’t notice? Were there warnings that he could have taken notice of the future? What was out there?
He knew he only had little time left on this earth, four years to be exact. He wanted to spend it in peace with you. In a small place away from all this mess, away from everyone. He only wanted you.
You.
The blood sticking to your face made you feel disgusted. Your lungs ached as all you inhaled was the fumes of the smoke. You desperately needed food and water, but those weren’t on your priority list. You fluttered your eyes open and blinked in surprise.
The sky was no longer an ashy grey but was replaced with the night time sky, thousands of stars twinkling in the heavens as white streaks mixed with greens and purple were painted across. Your eyes followed it until it stopped at a beacon of light, the branches shooting out from above that made it look like a tree with the bottom symbolizing the roots.
In front of the beacon, a person stood there with their back facing you. Curiosity got the best of you as you stepped forward, taking notice of the sand underneath your barefoot. You wiggled your toes as you ventured forward, wary of who it was. “Hello..?”
The person lifted their head but didn’t dare to look behind their shoulder. You observed their movements as their long hair swayed with no breeze around. They wore a jacket with a hood that went to the curve of their behind, matching brown pants. They looked stiff, were they okay?
“Y/N...”
You tensed up at the voice, a choked noise leaving your mouth as you stumbled forward, using your hands to catch yourself on the floor as you fell to your knees. “You—”
Eren turned around, a small smile playing on his lips. “You’re safe..”
“But- How?! I saw you from the sky and you—”
He shook his head as he walked over to you, kneeling in front of you. A strand fell in front of his face as he lifted a hand, cupping your cheek. His thumb reached out as he stroked the swell gently, taking notice of the scraps and dried up blood on your features. “...I’m sorry.”
“W-why, are you sorry..?” you ask softly, leaning into his touch. This was what you wanted. You wanted him again to be here with you. “You’re here, aren’t you?”
“I’m not here. I’m communicating with you through this,” he motions with his hand to the tree-like beacon of light. “This is what I’m able to connect with all Eldians. Subjects of Ymir, you’re all connected to this. You, Jean, Mikasa, Armin, and everyone else.”
Your eyes widened at the news, looking over his shoulder. You took in the blinding colors of white and light blue. It was beautiful, almost too beautiful. It swirled as the colors contrast yet complement each other. It was like it was drawing you closer and closer.
“Then...where am I?”
“Don’t worry about that. I need you to listen to me, my love,” he said seriously as he suddenly held your face in his hands. His face was so much closer to yours. “I don’t have much longer, and you know that.”
“Course I know that.” You placed your hands to rest over his, curling your fingers around it. “Why would you bring that up..?”
“Do you trust me?”
“Course I do,” you breathed out. “I always have, I always will.” This time, you said it with confidence. You replayed the memories of him asking you weird questions from that night that seemed so long ago. “I put my faith into you, Eren..”
He stared down at you with sad eyes as he leaned down, pressing a kiss to your forehead, lingering his lips there and not caring of the salty taste of sweat and the horrid smell of dirt. “Promise me that you’ll stay safe no matter what. nd when the time comes, you know what to do.”
“I promise you, Eren.”
“And when the time comes, you’ll do it.”
“T-Time..? What else is coming?! Eren, what aren’t you telling me?!”
“I can’t,” he said as he stood up, bringing you with him. “There isn’t enough time for me to say it.”
“Yes, there is!” you cried out as you curled your fingers around his jacket. “There’s always time! Why are you leaving me in the dark?! I thought you trusted me?!”
“I do trust you! I can’t tell you! You have to keep trusting me!” he snapped and suddenly held you close to his chest, his arms wrapped around your protectively. “No one else but you. I promise it’ll be okay.”
A choked sob left your mouth as you snapped your eyes open, gasping for air as you looked around suddenly. The murky sky was back, the smoke of fire mixing within the clouds. Your hands clawed at your throat, scratching and feeling for anything out of the ordinary. “What happened?!” you cried out as you fell back on your ass, feeling the ship’s deck underneath. “Where did you go?!”
“Y/N!” Jean yelled as he comes into your hindsight, shaking you with his hands. “Snap out of it!! We can’t lose you here! What’s going on?!”
“E-Eren,” you whispered and look up at him with wide eyes, tears flowing freely. “I s-saw Eren..”
“You saw Eren..? How did you see him?”
“I don’t know,” you choked up and brought a hand to your head, panting softly. “I opened my eyes, and I was in this place, it was dark with the night sky. There was a beacon of light, i-it looked like tree branches, and Eren was standing in front of it! He kept saying I had to trust him over and over and told me it would be okay, and... I had to do it when the time came to it.”
“Did you ask what he meant?”
“He kept saying there wasn’t time. He wouldn’t answer me. He held me close, and I opened my eyes and now... I’m somehow back here again.”
You were glad Jean didn’t look down at you like you were crazy. He nodded slowly as he looked above, yelling out words to someone you didn’t know. You didn’t bother to listen to him. You were still confused about how Eren managed to pop right in and out as nothing happened.
“I’ll be back, okay?” Jean muttered as he walked off quickly to whoever needs him.
You brought a hand to your face, tracing the outline of your scar. “Eren..where are you..?” you whispered as you shut your eyes, desperately trying to go back to the place you were just at. “Come on!” you yelled in frustration as you tried again.
‘It won’t work. Only I can do it.’
You froze as you looked around quickly, no sight of anyone near you. Everyone was at the head of the ship. “Huh?”
‘I can bring you, Y/N. Wishing yourself there won’t happen.’
You let out a small sigh as you rubbed your temple in a circle. “I’m going crazy, I guess. Eren isn’t even here..”
‘I am. I’m only speaking to you.’
“Where are you then..?”
‘I’m nowhere near you. You guys are safe, but not forever.’
“What did you mean when you said, I have to do it. What are you talking about, Eren?”
‘Like I said, I can’t tell you,” his voice rang through your head, almost leaving an aching feeling in your heart.
“Is there time…?” you asked softly, bringing your hands to your chest. You wanted him to say yes, there was time and that this hell was a dream. You wanted to wake up in his arms, in his cell that he was kept in even after all these years.
You wanted to see him smile. You wanted to see him run around with your children with the amount of years he has left. You want to hear his melodic laugh again. You want to see his ears go red when he tells a small white lie to protect himself for whatever reasons.
You want time to reverse itself.
‘There isn’t enough time, my love. I love you. You better remember that. Don’t be afraid about it. Nothing will happen to you nor anyone else. I’m protecting you. Just remember, trust me.’
“Eren.” you whimpered and looked up at the sky, a tear falling off the curve of your face. “I love you, Eren. I promise. I’ll do it. I trust you. I fucking trust you! You hear me?!” you sob out as you placed a hand to your heart, the silver band resting on your left hand shining from the sun's rays. You trusted him. You put your faith in him.
Now it was time for you to stay true to your word.

Note
I just came across that photo of jensen's eye (that misha tweeted) again and I need to vent a little because it is thee cockles thing (among others) that drives me crazy
I mean at first glance it seems innocent but then you notice the details, like really notice them:
1. misha saying jensen was shirtless (which wouldn't be as incriminating on its own)
2. the photo is taken with flash because the room is clearly pitch-black
you know just...two bros chilling in the dark, shirtless cuz they are [gets attacked by a flock of angry seagulls]
(always love a vintage episode of killingthatmannatural)
3. misha posted this late in the night, when the rest of the cast was hanging out together
4. iirc, j*red texted misha to 'don't be gay (...) and come hang out/wrestle'

He waits for her to break the spell
Prompt: Dates | AO3 link here | Connect with me on Twitter. (Belated) Happy SS Month everyone! 🌸🍅🥗 @ssskmonth
A/N: Almost 3,000 words so this is quite lengthy as well. 😅
Waves break against the cobblestones on the shore. Sasuke picks apart the shiny seaglasses with his eyes as they glint against the fading rays of the sun. His legs alternately swing with her on the seawall as they silently watch the small fishing boats dock at a nearby port. A flock of seagulls fly above them, calling it a day and coming home.
He waits for her to break the spell.
They’ve been here before, and several times the gaps were filled in with laughters, awkward conversations, and hushed confessions. He grew up with her, their houses on the same block, same primary schools, same favorite parks, but he never talked to her. But he knew her name, and she knew his. They knew each other’s families. It was one of those instances when you just saw a steady familiar face as you go through the motions of life.
He took a month’s worth of leave after the unfortunate car crash, and he settled back in quite all right, much better than his older brother who remained catatonic and would never truly grieve until his adulthood. The first week after, she followed him home, a few meters trailing behind him but close enough that he was always in her line of sight. He didn’t mind; after all, their houses were on the same block.
Then one day, she pulled his drifting mind to safety when he almost walked into an open manhole. The distances between them shortened in the following weeks until she walked beside him, even with no conversation.
She brought him here on the eve of his parents’ first death anniversary. They raced against the looming cumulonimbus with their rickety bikes after she ambushed him in front of the school gates after class. And he followed her, even when she said nothing, even when there was a storm coming.
When they arrived at the dock, the fishers were hurriedly tethering their boats to the steel posts, knowing the possibility that they will be strung away but trusting the hold the rope has, nonetheless.
It was a big storm and large drops were starting to pour down, but she stood on the edge of the seawall with arms stretched out to her side, her rose hair in disarray around her face, her eyes closed to welcome the fall of the rain. And just as the usual, he followed her, his body straining to keep upright against the gusts. He remembered feeling the rain come down like pellets, and he was sure he winced in pain. For the first seconds of that moment, he regretted coming along with her. Insane, irrational, dangerous – two teenagers soaking up the storm. But he felt it welling soon enough, the emotion he spent twelve months bottling up. It began to rack up slowly, accompanying his deep breath, and following his exhale, continuous sobs lost in the whistle of the gale.
He waits for her to break the spell.
The place has become solace for him. His signal was sometimes a pebble thrown at his window at four in the morning. Huddled up in a blanket he bunched in his bag pack, they sipped hot chocolate from the same thermos, their legs brushing against each other as they waited for the sun to rise.
“I want to be in the same class as you,” Sakura said, the blanket completely covering her head except her eyes, and he couldn’t tell whether it was a joke.
“That’s very clingy of you.” He tried to lighten it.
“And beat you in recitations and assignments and grades.”
“Clingy.” He repeated.
She loosened the blanket from her head and stuck out her tongue at him. “So what?”
So what, indeed. He only realized this as he fell into a deep sleep after they went home – they missed the sunrise, and that was their first conversation.
Sometimes the signals were just a wave – after classes at the gates – and they would bike to the seawall, just in time for the sunset. He cannot exactly pinpoint the exact date he gave her a mixtape, but the following afternoon, she brought a portable cd player and they listened to it with an earphone each on their ears.
And he doesn’t know why or what it was that triggered him, but he held her pinky finger with the long earphone wire in between. His memory was of her laughing, removing her finger momentarily from his touch and engulfing his entire hand with hers. It was warm and rough against the surface of the seawall.
He waits for her to break the spell.
They ditched prom, she dressed in an emerald dress that matched the intensity of her gaze, in two-inch heels, and messy bun of pink curls, and he in a classic black tuxedo set handed down to him by a cousin in the next city over. They would have won prom king and queen, but they traded the first dance with the meandering waltz through the busy streets in his motorcycle.
It caught him offguard, the way she looked ethereal without the distraction of a busy port or its harsh blinding lights. She was in company with the murmur of the waves and the soft echoes of a bustling city at night and his silent presence. They stood on the seawall, hand in hand, and her head was at a perfect height to lay on his shoulders thanks to her heels. She did the gesture while humming a song by The Cure. It was on her mixtape, but the title escaped him.
“Why don’t we dance, Sasuke?” She lifted her head and twirled around on the precarious ledge, her trust solely on his grip on her wrist.
“You told me you didn’t want to dance.” He pulled her in closer and placed both of her arms around his neck while his hands went to her waist.
“I want the stars as our audience,” she chided as they swayed side to side to an invisible beat. She started to sing in an offkey manner, and she laughed in between words when Sasuke didn’t bother to hide his regrets.
We’re never done with killing time, can I kill it with you
Till our veins run red and blue…
We come around here all the time
Got a lot to not do, let me kill it with you
She laughed harder when he joined her, his deep, sultry voice accompanying hers in a disconcerted rendition of the song.
You pick me up and take me home again
Head out the window again
We’re hollow like the bottles that we drain
You drape your wrist over the steering wheel, pulses can drive from here
We might be hollow, but we’re brave
“And I like you.” He reached through the small gap between their faces and captured her lips in a kiss. Soft, plump, cold. And she opened her mouth in response, welcoming his tongue with a smoldering warmth. They found their way to his empty house, his older brother a shell of pill-induced sleep, and they fell on his bed skin to skin, teeth to teeth, bones to bones. Her dress and heels on his floor and her rose strands on his pillow, fanned out and clenched through his fingers.
He waits for her to break the spell.
She was moving away. She told him this a month before graduation. Medicine in her dream school. He congratulated her with a sincere smile. He even tucked stray hair behind her ear, and she smiled back just as brightly.
Two days before her departure, they met here again at the peak of the port’s busiest harvest season. She cut her hair and dyed it black. For a change, she said.
“Why don’t you come with me?” she asked unprompted. Before this, she gave him a box of memorabilia, of things she wanted to leave behind with him.
Things she wanted to do away with. Things she doesn’t want with her.
Sasuke smirked. He put his hands inside his jacket’s pockets, afraid of holding her hands. “Why don’t you stay here with me?”
“You’re right. That was a selfish question.” She waved her hands in front of her as if to dissipate the weird atmosphere. Then, she looked at him with those piercing jade eyes. “But I wish you would, get out of this city, see the rest of the world blah blah, you know the script.”
This isn’t a miserable town when you are here, Sakura.
“Leave the grief behind,” she finished.
The doubts crept in. “So it was pity after all.”
That hit her bad, and her face contorted into a series of emotions, too fleeting for him to name everything at once. But she never got full on angry with him. The most argument they had was a cold shoulder that lasted for a month. “I was just offering you a chance to start over.”
“As if I cannot start over on my own,” he supplied.
“In this place?”
“This is my home, Sakura.”
“This isn’t mine,” she replied. “I can’t stay here. You know my dreams.”
He knew them all too well. He saw the pamphlets and brochures of the university stacked on her desk, and the map of the world gobsmacked on the wall of her room with pins on specific places and post-its of attractions. It didn’t escape him that there was no pin for their city or a post-it with his name. It was a hovering observation that haunted his head for years, and that eventually, he would have to decide.
But the world was too big for him, too expansive that he was afraid of the grief he would have unlocked at every place he stepped in. Sasuke smacked his lips together and nodded. “Keep in touch, will you?”
His hands fumbled with a box inside his pocket. I can’t follow you everywhere, Sakura.
“At least don’t remember what I felt as mere pity.”
It was a desolate moment, their seemingly absent outburst of emotions contrasted by yells of traders in the small impromptu market that assembled on the dock. She nodded, both knowing that it was an empty promise. She proceeded to stood on tiptoes, and he met her movement with an embrace as their lips touched for what felt like was a final kiss under the searing sun.
He waits for her to break the spell.
The waves come after midnight, Sasuke noticed. Sporadic sleepless nights comes in twos or threes or sevens, and he would glance at his weather application on his phone, swiping until he finds her city and wonders what she’s up to.
The text found him at his third cup of coffee before sunrise.
“It’s a great day to be out and about, sun will be shining today!”
Her city was in the middle of a hurricane path.
But she wasn’t. She was in front of his doorstep several years after she went away. Rose hair, emerald eyes, and a smile that he constantly chased in his dreams. She was back for the summer only, a quick break, a breather in her other words.
His caffeine-induced soul followed her footsteps out of his house and through the grocery aisles. He doesn’t engage her in conversation, but she has her hand in his, twirling now and then, euphoric to be in his orbit for a moment.
And he lost control of the script he prepared in his mind and the list of reasons why he shouldn’t be meeting her again because he, too, was euphoric to revolve around her again.
To refamiliarize all of her contours, to explore the new dips and marks that carved her skin, to taste the places she went to, to get a glimpse of her new batch of memories, to fill his senses with her being.
He parked his car beside the seawall one night, and Sakura waved him over, two bottles of beer already drained beside her.
“I heard Itachi got married.”
Sasuke halved his bottle before replying. “Izumi. Gentle but firm, dependable also. They liked the mountains more than the sea so they’re on the other side of the city.” He paused and drank the other half in one gulp. “How was….the world?”
“Shitty.” Sakura laughed. Spite, remorse, regret. “Med school is all right, aced it, like how you aced your law school.” A proud smile right there, and he caught that she implied she was keeping tabs on him even though there were no letters and calls, only sparse texts in few and between of the usual how are you and the default reply of I’m okay. “The rounds are what’s bad, like I’m always giving away a part of myself every time I treat. I have self-awareness and I’m empathetic, but I can only give away so much. There’s nothing I can take in return anyway. And life is moving too fast. Someone’s getting married, someone’s having a kid, and I’m stuck in scut duty with 72-hour shifts and I come home to no one.”
“And you feel lonely.” Sasuke summed it up for her.
“I wish I believed you when you told me this was my home.”
She swooped in into his space to place her lips on his mouth, and he allowed her to fill him in. He lost all reasoning when she appeared in his doorstep at the beginning of this season, and he will again lose all reasoning when it was time for her to go back. So he savored all what she could give.
Even if she was oblivious that he has given all of him, for her to take and not return. Like a boat capsizing in the middle of the storm and following the waves down to the bottom.
He waits for her to break the spell.
He waits for her to break the spell. Stars dots the transitioning purple sky, and the seaglass now glints against the moonshine. She pushes the stop button of the cd player even though it was no longer functioning, and they don’t have earphones on.
“I’m getting married.”
He knows even before she uttered the words from her own lips. He saw the band on her finger when she drifted through the grocery aisles with a silver-haired man a day ago. He twirled her in between shelves regardless of the bemused faces of onlookers, and he made her laugh out loud to the extent that she clutched at her sides.
And Sasuke wished he didn’t hear her laughter through his rushing thoughts.
“Congratulations,” he simply says.
“It just happened. He’s actually a schoolmate of ours, but he moved out to the next state for senior high. Kakashi? Does the name ring a bell?” Her face is animated when she says his name. “We met in the hospital. Turns out he’s a resident there too.”
God forbid he remembers him. All his memories conjure is this seawall and her face, her rose hair, and her emerald eyes. Sasuke doesn’t know what to reply.
She sighs. “You know what I’m trying to say. We’ve always been two halves of each other.”
He doesn’t want to reply. He wants to ask a hundred questions instead. What things remind her of him? Does any sea, dock, or fishing boat transport her to memories with him? Does she see his face in the middle of grocery aisles? Did she ever love him? Did she ever have regrets? Would they have ended up together if he followed her? Did he fight for her enough to want her to stay?
“Just a minute,” he says, but it’s almost a plea. “Just a minute more.”
And she holds on to his hand and intertwines her fingers with his against the rough surface of the seawall. She scoots closer and lays her head on his shoulder, a bit broader than what she might remember, and he hopes to gods that she is memorizing his scent just as he is memorizing the curve of her head on his neck and the feel of her now long rose strands against his cheeks.
“I love you.” Sasuke doesn’t expect a reply, and even if she does answer back, he knows all too well that they don’t have the same gravity as his.
“I love you,” she whispers in his ear.
Not a minute later she stands up, dispelling the spell that hovered between them, walking towards a place he cannot follow no matter how he wishes. And he sits on top of the seawall an hour longer, alone with the shore, the stars, and the silent dock.
He pulls out the velvet box from his pocket and stares at the ring that should have been on her finger. He closes it and flings it to the sea.
What is wrong with me that I made a fluff prompt angst? Anyway, please listen to 400 lux and Hard Feelings by Lorde for full effects. Thanks for reading!

The Battalion and the Night Terrors begin making their way across the ocean.

Final Awakening: Road Trip of Doom Part 2
The Night Terrors’ bus flies through the sky, high above the clouds. Having been made by Zim with Irken technology, it is much faster than most human-made vehicles. The inside is more comfortable too- or it would be, under other circumstances.
“Would you move over?” Devi snaps, shoving D-boy.
“Don’t touch me, rabbit!” Eff barks at Nailbunny.
“Watch your elbows,” Gaz growls at Tenna.
“You all reek of sweat,” Reverend Meat grumbles.
With the Battalion and Night Terrors crammed into the van, it’s gotten to be a tight fit. Zim and Shmee are only ones free of the squabbling, as they’re sitting in the two front seats.
“Somebody’s gonna die on this trip,” Johnny grumbles.
“Is that a threat?” Nailbunny asks.
           “More like a premonition.”
“Well, let’s make sure that doesn’t happen,” Dib says, “it should only be a few hours. Right, Zim?”
“Exactly,” he agrees, “we’ve already reached the ocean.”
“Really?” Squee smiles and looks out the window. Far down below, he can see the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. “Cool! Zim, can you take us closer?”
“Not a chance,” Zim grunts, “why are you so excited? You’ve travelled through space. What’s so special about a bunch of water?”
“Cool things are still cool,” Squee insists.
“Keep your eyes open, Squee,” Shmee orders, “you never know what the Nightmare might throw at us.”
“What do you mean?” Tak asks.
“It won’t be long before the Nightmare figures out we’re onto it,” he explains, turning his seat to face everyone else. “Right now, it’s nesting and it requires quite a bit of energy and time to extract itself from its nest, after which, reality will reset as it escapes back into its dimension. We won’t notice this happening- it won’t affect us at all- but we won’t be able to stop it.”
“Isn’t that why we’re going over there though?” Dib asks, “to make it leave its nest?”
“Yes, of course,” Shmee nods, “but wouldn’t it be much more satisfying to be there for it?”
           “Yeah,” Tenna cheers.
“So how do we make sure it doesn’t extract itself before we get there?” Johnny asks.
“Nothing we can do about that,” Shmee replies, “like I said, that takes a lot of energy and time. We should make it there before that happens. However, it will throw everything it can at us to slow us down.”
           “Like what?” Pepito asks.
           “Anything.”
“Like an angry cat or a fat lady that blocks the whole hallway,” Devi muses.
           “Huh?” Johnny questions.
           “Just from my own experience.”
“Exactly,” Shmee agrees as he turns back towards the front of the bus. “So be ready for anything.”
All of a sudden, a large flock of seagulls flies into the bus. Everyone screams with surprise as some splat against the windshield while others flutter around the sides, blocking all of the windows and slapping against the walls.
“Hang on!” Zim barks and nosedives out of the horde. Once free, he levels the van out again and uses the windshield wipers to swab off the birds.
“Woo, that surprised me,” Squee sighs.
“Was that because of the Nightmare?” Tenna asks.
           “Most likely,” Shmee grunts.
“It was a flock of birds,” Tak points out, “Zim probably just accidentally flew into them.”
“Zim’s flying is impeccable,” Zim argues, “I didn’t accidentally do anything. Those birds came out of nowhere.”            “Just pay better attention,” she demands, “if I was flying-.”
“If I WaS fLyInG,” Zim retorts mockingly.
“I’m a far better pilot than you.”
           “Are not!”
           “Are too!”
The others groan with annoyance as the two bicker. Then something bangs into the underside of the van, making everyone cry out as it knocks them to the left.
“What the hell was that?” D-boy questions.
“Hang on,” Zim orders and flips a couple of switches on the dashboard. A small screen comes up, displaying a view of the underside. At first, all that can be seen is the ocean. Then a dolphin leaps up and slams into them.
“What the fuck!” Devi cries as the van rocks around.
“Hold tight!” Zim demands and flies faster. Through the back window, they see a couple more dolphins try to hit them.
“This is getting stupid,” Dib remarks.
“Watch out!” Shmee exclaims as he points through the windshield. A blue whale rises out of the water just ahead of them, its giant body blocking their trajectory.
Zim hits the brake and spins the steering wheel, trying to go around it. But as the whale falls back to the water, its fin slams into the bus. Everyone screams as the vehicle tumbles down and crashes into the ocean.
“Everyone okay?” Zim asks as he lifts himself off the dashboard. Behind him, everyone else groans in response as they lift themselves up off the floor, a little battered and dizzy, but otherwise unharmed.
“What’s the damage?” Shmee asks as he looks outside.
The van is floating on the water and the engine has died. Zim tries to restart it but it sputters in defiance.
“I’m gonna have to go out and check the engine,” he says.
“You can’t,” Dib argues, “the water will burn you if you fall.”
“You think I don’t know that,” Zim snaps.
“I’ll check it,” he insists, “I know enough about Irken tech.”
“I’ll spot you,” Pepito adds as he stands up.
“One of you guys should go with them too,” Shmee orders, pointing at Reverend Meat, Sickness, Eff, and D-boy.
“Fine,” Reverend Meat nods. “D-boy, you go.”
“Why me?” he whines, “Eff should go.”
“Nuh uh. You go,” Eff argues.
“I’ll go,” Sickness snaps, “buncha babies.
Dib opens the driver side window and he, Pepito, and Sickness climb out onto the roof. Everyone else watches through the windshield as Dib crawls over to the front. Balancing on the bumper, he pops the hood and looks inside.
“There’s no damage,” he observes, “but the inside is flooded. The water is probably keeping the engine from starting.”
“So what do we do?” Pepito asks.
Dib rubs his head, unable to answer.
“Is there a way we can power the thrusters?” Squee suggests, “we can turn the van into a speedboat instead of a ship until we get to dry land.”
“Good idea,” Zim comments and grabs a radio from his PAK. “Gir, come to Zim.”
“What’s the plan?” Dib asks as he closes the hood.
“With Gir, I will be able to power the thrusters, like Squee said,” Zim replies, “everyone, get back inside. We will have to wait for him.”
Dib, Pepito, and Sickness get ready to clamber back through the window when something starts banging against the side of the van, rocking it.
“Whoa, hey!” Pepito and Dib cry out as they all struggle to hang on.
“What the fuck is that?” Sickness barks.
Everyone tries to look through the windows as they’re knocked back and forth.
“It’s fish!” Gaz explains as she catches a glimpse of schools of fish slamming into the right side of the van.
“Knock it off!” Sickness shouts at the water.
Pepito powers an energy blast in his hand and throws it into the water, scaring the fish off. Everyone sighs with relief as the rocking stops.
Dib slips his legs through the window. But when he’s about halfway through, the fish come back with a vengeance and slam hard into the van. Dib loses his balance as it rocks and falls into the water.
           “Dib!” Zim exclaims.
“Oh no!” Pepito gasps and dives in after him. Everyone stares after them anxiously.
They both emerge quickly, gasping for air, but then immediately get pulled down again.
“Hey!” Sickness barks and jumps after them. Under the water, she sees the school of fish swarming Dib and Pepito, pulling them down. Then Pepito blasts them away. He summons his wings and flies him and Dib back to the surface, grabbing Sickness along the way. Everyone in the van sighs with relief as he flies them out of the water.
           “Nice one,” Sickness comments.
“I know,” Pepito replies. He carries them back to the van and they all quickly get back inside, closing the window after them.
“Are there any towels?” Dib asks as he shivers in his soaked clothes.
“Actually, there are,” Reverend Meat replies as he lifts one of the seat cushions, revealing a hidden compartment. He grabs three towels and tosses them to Dib, Pepito, and Sickness.
“Good thing we brought extra clothes too,” Pepito adds as he opens his bag. The three of them quickly change, bundling their wet clothes in the towels.
           “Now what?” Sickness asks.
“We wait for Gir,” Zim replies.
“Hopefully a whale doesn’t eat us or something,” Tenna remarks.
“You just had to say that,” Squee whimpers, fearfully looking out the windows.
Thankfully, they don’t have to wait long until Gir flies up to the windshield, along with Minimoose and Mimi.
“About time,” Zim grunts as he lets them in through his window.
“Masta!” Gir cheers, hugging Zim’s head.
“Mimi?” Tak questions. “Why are you here? I didn’t call you.”
“I saw the defective SIR unit leave,” Mimi replies, “and suspected my master would require my assistance as well.”
“Hm. Well, good work,” she replies, patting her robot on the head.
“The more power the better,” Zim says. He removes a panel off the dashboard and takes out a couple of wires, which he plugs into the heads of Gir and Mimi. “There. That should supply us with plenty of power for the thrusters. Hang on.”
Zim presses the engine button and Gir giggles as he and Mimi start vibrating. Zim activates the thrusters and the van propels through the water.
“We’re on our way again,” he announces.
Everyone sits down, tenser than before, as they continue their journey across the ocean.
