I think it will be a lot easier to enjoy Fate again after FGO dies

Note
Reading this lostbelt, from Pepe's viewpoint and issues, and how he described the Crypters. It makes me uncomfortable that FGO is trying to validate privilege and trying to cast the victims of the privileged ones (PHH) as "bad" because they tell them to go fuck themselves and flipped the roles. Or are "good" because accept being destroyed (fucking erased) to validate the "better" (privileged) history. It felt like that from the beginning but Pepe's thoughts nailed this sickening feeling.
I was going to do my character meme answers, but so much THIS. I don't think Nasu thought over this pretty well (or he doesn't care because status quo-sticker), or he took so long his work isn't going to age well in the current context people are more aware than ever about this "competition" between humanity which is absolutely abhorrent and unjust. Even when presenting a side as "hopeless" for their growth, that sounds like you're making excuses to trample it for your benefit, like a typical privileged person would ignore those who rot on the sidewalk.
This is the funny thing. The entire situation as you point is like some of those pariahs said no more and decided to take over with the corpses of their oppressors. Panhistory to validate themselves created the Prunning Phenomena and can't take heat from the consequences of their very system generated? The rich side of this is that all those billions who disappeared actually to validate their existence in the first place set this system that originally walked on the corpses of many untold erased timelines. Because resources were limited (sounds familiar?) only a scant number of timelines could be kept. And this very cruel system was wished unconsciously by humanity itself. Nasu even compared what Humanity is doing to itself to what Goetia did in his booklet of Lostroom as if to frame what is the cause. Crypters, Lostbelts, the "God"? Thematically, they are victims and pariahs who got left behind. They aren't the "aggressors" that shot first. There’s a reason why the theme is revenge and payback of those who were down and stood again. Nasu’s not talking about Panhistory or Novum Chaldea.
Of course, is perfectly good and dandy to have Novum Chaldea look for the survival of them and their Panhistory, but it's not sitting well with me to take them as heroes at all, unlike Part 1. In part 1, the enemy had a problem with suffering, but the suffering caused by death and terminus, which was more a natural consequence of being human that could be delayed but is something nobody denies exists and must be accepted. It was a palatable approach of a Solomon who experienced a mortal life and the system Solomon left behind which took an exclusive "god" viewpoint unable to sympathize until he tasted mortality.
Part 2 meanwhile the core of the problem is that injustice and gap between loser and winners, and it seems to push for us to accept it can't be helped, humans are like this when is a dangerous complacent "Let the better ones eat you, pariah" sour aftertaste. It's also very dangerous because while there's no "pruning phenomena" in real life, there is across history the whole silencing the loser and oppressed by the winners, trying to wipe them out for their own glory and benefit. There's no point to wish fight fact or reform. Novum Chaldea being a passive tool to defend the way Panhistory has conducted itself with rare exceptional "no this waifu/this loli/cute animal" moments don't cut it for me to see them as good. It makes me feel dirty. They never made an effort to do anything but react too unless a said article to protect is at stake. It's increasingly hard to associate or sympathize with them over someone like Kirschtaria Wodime, whatever you think of his plan, he is the only one who made an effort to try to change the odds while embracing hope humanity inherent goodness will carry them out for a better future, better order, better results. While Chaldea's weak arguments against him could be summed up in Holmes' cynical view of how humanity won't change and will always be like that and suffer (which is again a reminder of "don't try to do anything, go with the flow" to suppress revolution and reformers). The arguments were so feeble that the one that stopped him isn't Chaldea, but Beryl's betrayal.
I understand fully the extraordinary context and circumstances of what happened, and what was lost, but those people who disappeared, they also wove a system that did the same to others. It's just an unfortunate plot to me. Nobody denies Kirschtaria was willing to accept the loss of Panhistory (even though if he could, he would have saved those people too) out his inability to save them with his limits, but N. Chaldea is perfectly willing to accept the loss of other lives too (although they also feel bad), are they less worthy? And while Kirschtaria’s passively accepted the loss of Panhistory (because none of the Crypters directly had to do with its blanching), Chaldea is actively now doing the Pruning System work in pulling the plug on others. Not just the Lostbelts but to restore Panhistory is accepting the way it works and how many it destroys. Instead of taking a bet to try something new, in the long run, maybe create something better. Both sides demand terrible sacrifices, but only one is coming with a solution to try and fix what is broken. The other side is just putting a band-aid and pretend is fine.  I don't know if Nasu is going to end it in a satisfying way. Because he's not one to overhaul this system and he maintained since FSN: "the seat of happiness are limited" as if was a natural and desirable message.
On the other hand, he did say that Kirschtaria's ideals are the most perfect even among "all legends of TM" and that his goal was objectively beneficial for humanity. Even one of the game options lets Guda comment that his idea is desirable, but... (doesn't want to forsake Panhistory... although Panhistory ironically has no problem to destroy and wreck other timelines to keep their flawed Consensus -> what isn't discussed, huh).
I think Nasu wanted to make this about survival instead of good vs evil, which was fine up until Kirschtaria came up with an idea of revision/reform the Human Order instead of proposing something based on survival of a lifestyle because he wanted to minimise the suffering. Which Chaldea poorly answered. At heart, by trying to smooth over humanity’s need to compete with each other by closing the gaps of how they started (and even them), wouldn’t that also affect the Pruning system which is based on this fierce competition of what is the best/ideal timeline consensus? Yes, of course, because that system reflects the present humanity mindset of competition to “survive” and divide themselves in winners and losers. In the long run, IMO, that would have been modified too. Kirschtaria doesn’t directly reference to it, but vaguely alludes to an answer humanity failed to reach which is linked to a lot of what’s happening too, including the “God.” Because Chaldea only had arguments for survival (to the point this is acknowledged by Kirschtaria’s description of what is defeat/victory for Chaldea and for Kirschtaria. To Chaldea, Kirschtaria says that their victory is survival, and to be defeated is to die; while Wodime’s defeat is that the Beast manifested and he couldn’t finish his plan). And business continues, as usual, I guess. It leaves a bitter taste when your supposed POV has no agency or drive to make any difference. It is frustrating!
I know I was harsh with this, and I also appreciate how Guda and Mash still try to help the people who they see in danger in front of them, but is frustrating because at the same time they are doing things to make themselves feel better knowing they are here to wipe them out. Like, you know, giving a starving orphan a candy to make then happy and go behind their back and pull out the resources of the orphanage they’re in to let them starve to use that money to buy yourself food, something like that. Even if you know they really need that money to not starve themselves for the possibility they can rebuild different orphanages, would you still consider characters who do that the same heroes as part 1? Hard to say, right?
“Far side is darker than Near side”, yes, but I think Nasu went a little too far. Because even if HF was dark, for example, I completely empathised with the difficult choices, while it’s harder now.

burdened by Knowledge in light of the lostbelts' premise of a multiverse and the solomon movie being released (and invading my thoughts Consequently) that things would have gone SO much better in the timeless temple if we had had river instead of gudao. like can you IMAGINE?? and if your herc was there too?? like 🪦. straight up just 💀. F in the CHAT there is no GOD the best timeline got steamrolled by a 2ft tall shrimp with better pr 🔥😭🔥
asjfkhKAJHKJDHFKHJ I'm so flattered????
I haven't seen the movie for GToT (the fact that the abbreviation for the movie looks like someone crying and shaking their fist is all the summary you need for that chapter) as it hasn't been released here in the US nor subtitled yet, but I remember it fully when I played the chapter in-game in 2019!
IT'S FUNNY YOU SAY THAT because I always theorized in my head if River was the protagonist Master for FGO and if I conducted things within my parameters for that, instead of how I wrote River's story for post-Part-1 for my Roleplay circles!
Heracles/Alcides is pretty versatile regardless of where I put her since she's a Heroic Spirit.
Disclaimer: I fucking love Grand Temple of Time. It is my favorite chapter and I love everything about how it is written and the characterization we get for Solomon/Romani, Goetia, Mash, and Ritsuka. This is just me playing around with how that story would go differently if my OCs were in place of Ritsuka.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(more text below)
So... without giving too much away!!! Uh, if River had been with Team Chaldea since the beginning, Goetia would have been incomplete and probably would have used Lev/Flauros or attempted every avenue throughout the Singularities to convince River to give up saving humanity. Also from the moment they met River would have had a weird attachment to Romani beyond just 'oh you're my acting director now through all this but we're also friends since we like the same stuff hahaha'.
....It's....! A sad but also interesting thing....!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...Also River's Berserk Button would get pressed with Mash's sacrifice because he would have basically adopted her as a little sister by this point. Even moreso when Romani sacrifices himself. So you have a master pyromancer recklessly throwing all hands with a mass of ancient demons. HAHAHAHAHHAHA.
Also having Heracles/Alcides (in-story everyone refers to her as Red Archer/Oeta until she reveals her identity in Babylonia) in the final fight in Solomon's Temple would have had to included intervention from one of the Argonauts or from Artemis (only Greek god available at that time) to kickstart her Spirit Origin and return her to Grand Berserker status, in which case oh man she would have wiped the DECK with Goetia.
For the DnD homebrew campaign I did on this last year, the last time she went Grand Berserker was to fight Actual Hera who had absorbed the whole Greek pantheon and then took over the FUCKING Mooncell. Alcides didn't have an immediate win then only because (and this was in roleplay verse) she contracted Goetia to herself and was passing a good portion of her mana through him to keep him existing and fighting at the same time (he didn't have the Incineration Ritual nor the Ars Paulina to give him energy).
Alcides could hold her own against Goetia, not to mention the narrative I've given there is that over time as a hero she lost her empathy to humanity and at the end of her life was a nihilistic and destructive demigod tyrant, so Alcides would be able to understand and potentially get through to Goetia.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now I think it's a stretch to say Alcides could have defeated Goetia (esp with Ars Paulina and the Incineration Ritual), but she could have held him/most of his aspects back for a GOOD amount of time without the other Heroic Spirits having to go as hard as they initially did, at least enough to spare Mash or clear the way for Romani sooner.
EXCEPT THAT'S A LIE! I LIED! ALCIDES HAS REINCARNATION PANDORA AHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!!

i was going through some files and stuff and found a profile and my room lines for an older david alt i wrote up around two years ago, and i read it over and decided that i still like it so i’m going to dump this here and run away
My Room Lines
1 There is only one, in this world or any other, who I truly serve. Oh, but don't take this to mean you don't have my full cooperation. Rather, it would be more suitable for you to treat me as I were a general in your army, or a military advisor, more than a Servant. I would be more useful to you this way, rather than a single individual solider.'
2 For you, the leader of your army, to be staying in your room, bored, while your troops go off to work and make war... Master, such situations never lead to anything good, you know? It's a terrible waste of valuable time. Come, now, let's be off. There is a great deal to be done.
3 This is quite the role reversal for me, actually. You're like me in life; the head of a great and powerful army, and me, a soldier in the midst of the battlefield that you survey. It seems I've taken the role of your Joab, in fact... perhaps in the end I'm really meant to serve much more than to lead.
4 I will serve you, of course, to the best of my abilities. But I have no intent to stay silent, or go along with it blindly, if you act incorrectly. ... Of course, I do not expect you to act flawlessly at all times, either-- in your position, one often has to make difficult choices. Just keep it in mind.
5 (Archer David) Yes, yes, I know that other me is here. Please, don't remind me. Honestly... what's he doing, that stupid old man? Running around in the body of our younger self... does he miss our youth so much he's trying to recreate it? Delusional old pervert, that's what he is... don't trust him, Master. That he is a useless, frivolous slacker makes him seem harmless, but he's much worse! He's cunning and duplicitous and-- why are you laughing?
6 (Sheba) Ah, this woman-- I know of her. As a fellow monarch like her, and her rival, I respect her. As Solomon's father, I am wary of her, and hope she did not lead his heart astray. There will be some time before I can accept her into the family. Though, that said, if this is any indication of his taste in women-- well, now! Not bad at all.
7 (Avicebron) A great poet and philosopher, and a wise man. But one whose soul was deeply troubled, and who struggles with actions that have soiled his hands. But I won't disrespect him with my pity. All I can say is that I understand. True wisdom, after all, brings the heart a great deal of trouble.
(Bonus: I wrote this profile way before Atlantis/Olympus happened so I guess these don’t really work now but)
8 (Solomon) ...  Master. For both our sakes. Please, do not urge me any more to talk to the boy. I realize you mean well, but nothing good will come of it. More than for myself, I've no doubt he'd rather I keep my distance. There is no room for me to interfere in his new life. -- And that's all I have to say on this topic.
9 (Goetia) So this is the... ah, creature? Who possessed my son's body and went around doing all sorts of undignified things in it to ruin his reputation... Hm? Why am I not angry over the attempted incineration of humanity? Well, I'm a little cross over that, but as long as he understands and takes responsibility for these actions, it's fine. It's not for me to judge him. But the other thing is just disrespectful and irresponsible! To mar Solomon's good name with actions he didn't even commit!
Likes Good food, good drink, and a warm, comfortable bed. Even though I am a spirit now who has no need of them, it's such simple, physical needs that are all I need to be satisfied. ... Oh, what other physical needs I enjoy? Haha! Now, that's something I'll tell you about when you're older.
Dislikes There once was a certain man who served me. A skilled and strong warrior whose resourcefulness and cunning I relied upon, and he, giving in to his bloodlust and self-interest, had betrayed me. You do not need to know the details, but I cannot and will never forgive him, and so, swear you one thing: that I will never act towards you as he did towards me.
Holy Grail I have no single wish, but I do have things I desire. None of these are things I would ever ask of the Grail, however. Many of these things are... just daydreams, and the rest are meaningless if I don't achieve them on my own.
Event I've heard that you've landed upon a rare opportunity; don't waste it. We must go see to it at once, Master.
Summon Ruler-Class Servant, David. I have answered your summons. Now, then, we have no time to waste. You have an important task ahead of you, and my intent is to ensure it comes to completion.
Bond
1 Hm. You're a fair bit more young than what I'd expected of the last remaining Master tasked with the world's salvation... I mean, in this era, it's unusual for people your age to take upon such heavily responsibilities, isn't it? Yes, you clearly require all the assistance I can provide.
2 You know, even if I was a king in life, you needn't treat me now as if that were still the case. After all, I have no country to rule over. Before I am a king and before I am a heroic spirit, I am a mere instrument of the Lord's will. And now, I fulfill my duty in this world by aiding in your cause.
3 You're like me, aren't you, Master? A young person, perfectly average, perfectly humble, thrust into the hands of destiny and put into an overwhelming role of massive responsibility. I said you're young, but truth is... I misjudged you. Whatever child you were once is gone. When I look at you, I see the eyes of a soldier, one worthy of being called a true warrior. How do you feel about it, I wonder? Are you angry? Sad? Frustrated? Does it pain you? I see you keep fighting, but is it with reluctance, or do you humbly accept that responsibility and put personal feelings aside, whatever they may be?
4 I apologize for my callous remarks earlier, Master. Oh, don't misunderstand me. I meant what I said. But I should not have been so callous and spoken so freely, and-- well, maybe I was really thinking of myself more than you. But what I said of you as a soldier and a warrior was the truth. You should take pride in your journey and all you've done to this point. As a Master, you have nothing but my respect and loyalty.
5 Master, do you know what makes a Ruler, in this system? Not simply a saint. An impartial, just person who can cast true judgment and perform their duty with no personal desires to get in the way. Don't you find it strange? To cast in this role a hedonistic king such as I, I who have fallen to my personal desires at the expense of my duty? And yet the generations after me, the world itself, all depict me as a righteous and pure man, an impartial judge. That is the man is who they all know me as. It's ironic. It's so ironic I don't know if to laugh or cry. But you know, I should like to do my best to be this sort of person, if I am to honor my descendants as they have honored me.
Profile
Default King David prefers to be summoned in the form of the young shepherd he was when he defeated Goliath, but here he's been summoned from the prime of his life the King of Israel. A great and powerful king who has brought about peace and prosperity through years of conquest and war, he has accomplished much within his reign.
Bond 1 Height & Weight: idk, taller than archer david, less twinky though, higher weight too Series: FGO original Source: The Bible Region: Israel Alignment: Lawful Neutral Gender: Male The skill 'Harp Of Healing' has been lost permanently in this form.
Bond 2
A brutal warrior and an eloquent poet. A just idealist, and a ruthless, coldblooded pragmatist. A dutiful king, devoted to God above all else, and yet a hedonist weak to material comforts and attractive women. A shrewd and cunning businessman who's always attentive to all goings-on around him, and an unfocused slacker who would happily spend all day up to afternoon lazing off in bed. Such is the sort King that the shepherd boy David became; a man full of many such contradictory traits coexisting within him. The earnest shepherd boy who defeated Goliath has since matured and wizened into an experienced warrior and become a true king, and with it, it seems as if his heart has hardened. His personality is aloof and distant, and rarely does he show anything of the carefree, friendly shepherd he prefers to be summoned as.
Bond 3
Among David's many actions as king, one of the most famous would be the incident of his adultery with Bathsheba, wife of Uriah of Hittite.
In order to cover up their affair and Bathsheba's resulting pregnancy, David attempted to persuade Uriah to lay with her again after returning from war. Upon failing, he would order his men to leave Uriah behind to be killed in the battlefield.
For this crime, David's family would have a divine curse placed upon it. Much of his later life would be marked by tragedy.
The child Bathsheba conceived from their affair died after only a few days, and his son Amnon would sexually assault his half-sister Tamar. In revenge, Tamar's full brother Absalom would conspire with his fellows to kill Amnon, and this act would have him be exiled by David in his grief.
He would return only to lead a rebellion and attempt to usurp the crown, which drove his father out with his armies for three years, and in the final battle to retake the throne, he was killed by Joab, the commander of David's army and his right hand man, against David's explicit orders to spare him.
Bond 4
The Lord's Anointed A
A form of Charisma that applies the skill of Divine Protection towards the leader's army and allies. The skill of Divine Protection has been lost to this David when he had a divine curse placed upon him, but in exchange the protection can be applied to all allies outside of his blood family.
Curse On The House Of David EX
A crystallization of the curse placed upon David's family line directly by God. An embodiment of the path of bloodshed that has led to much success and victory as a ruler, yet a great deal of personal loss. The Servant container allows him to re-purpose this curse into a lethal weapon; the amount of power it grants him correlates to the damage it also automatically inflicts upon him, though the limit is that it cannot exceed what he himself cannot survive and it will ensure to keep him alive.
David himself, for his part, does not consider the self-inflicted damage neither penance nor some form of terrible suffering; rather, he stoically accepts it as a natural, unavoidable consequence.
Bond 5
Sacrifice NP description, too lazy to copypaste
Interlude
It's impossible to get any true answers about his feelings on the best of times. He finds is as difficult to understand his own heart as he does the hearts of others, and any moment he allows himself to be truly open only ever comes on his own choice and his own terms, often with great reluctance even then. Any question of his feelings that he does not want to speak of will be met with a distant, emotionless non-answer through which only a little bit of the truth slips through the cracks.
But it perhaps speaks of a certain immaturity still remaining that he is quick to express his emotions very openly and loudly the moment he does choose to open up. In spite of how he looks, he's actually very earnest and sensitive, and cries easily when upset. He'll talk about his feelings very beautifully and poetically in the heat of the moment, and afterwards go right back to closing himself off completely again and pretend nothing happened.
This all makes him sound terribly troublesome, but he's a loyal, dedicated Servant to any Master he finds worthy. It's not difficult to win his appreciation and respect so long as the Master is genuine and does their best to be righteous-- it's his full trust that's another matter entirely.

Father of the Yun: Servant Profile (FGO x Final Rose)
The Father of the Yun is the semi-mythological figure credited with founding the Yun Clan. With countless deeds to his name and a legend that has endured for century after century, he is perhaps the most famous figure in the mythologies of all the clans. With the eventual rise of the Arendelle Empire, his fame only grows since he is considered to be a distant ancestor of the Imperial Main Line.
When summoned as a Servant, he can be called as a Lancer, Sabre, Assassin, or Rider (he rides on the back of his legendary giant wolf). However, he is most likely to be summoned as a Lancer since the majority of his legends are associated with his spear.
The Father of the Yun’s base stats are outstanding, as befits a legend said to have been undefeated in battle from the time he became a teenager to his eventual death.
Strength: A
Endurance: A++
Agility: A+
Mana: A
Luck: A
Noble Phantasm: EX
During his lifetime, the Father of the Yun was famed as an unmatched warrior, a peerless strategist, and a charismatic and visionary leader. It was said that the Yun never lost a battle in which he took part and that his mere arrival on the battlefield was often enough to make all but the most determined of their enemies flee.
Personal Skills:
Charisma: A. Having founded the Yun Clan and built the city of Oerba, the Father of the Yun was beloved by his people and greatly respected even by his enemies. In life, there was no leader more popular than him, and even in death he is the example that all of his descendants aspire to.
Battle Continuation: EX. The Father of the Yun never showed signs of fatigue or despair in battle, no matter how badly wounded he was. Even in his final battle in which he was already exhausted and mortally wounded, he continued to fight without flagging until his opponent was finally defeated. It is generally believed that as long as the enemy still stands before him, then the Father of the Yun will continue to fight at his full strength until his entire body is utterly destroyed.
Instinct: A. Unmatched natural talent combined with unbelievable hard work and decades of experience has given the Father of the Yun unparalleled instincts for combat. Even without knowing the exact nature of his enemy, he will instinctively tread the path to the victory. His opponents often felt as though he already knew what they were going to do even before they did.
Enhancer of Weapons. The Father of the Yun’s Semblance allowed him to massively enhance the effectiveness of any object in his possession. Blades were sharper, shields were stronger, and so on. As a result, any weapon in his possession is at least one rank more powerful than it would be on its own.
The Father of the Yun has access to three Noble Phantasms in his Lancer state. They are weapons befitting the founder of the Yun Clan, and each would be a priceless treasure in the hands of anyone else. Only he, by virtue of his position, has the honour of wielding all three:
The Eight-Fold Defence, The Great Walls of Oerba. His shield shares the same name as the city that he founded, and it is inextricably bound to that city’s legend as well. His shield starts off relatively weak, only capable of warding off attacks of C Rank and below. However, each time his shield is broken, it reforms stronger than before. After his shield is broken for the seventh time, it becomes a shield capable of withstanding even anti-World level attacks.
The Spear That Pierced the Heavens, Kain’s Lance. It was said that in the Father of the Yun’s hands, his spear could pierce even the clouds themselves. In his final battle, his spear was thrown with such power behind it that it resembled a pillar of light streaking down from the heavens to strike down the colossal Grimm that was his enemy. When used, his spear can unleash attacks ranging from anti-Unit to anti-Fortress and anti-Army depending on its use.
The Father of Heroes, the Glorious Future His Eyes Once Saw. In the vision he was given that eventually led him to Oerba, the Father of the Yun was shown a glimpse of the countless heroes that would spring from his bloodline. As the father of these great heroes, he has the ability to temporarily summon them to fight at his side for a short period of time as an army of legends, every one of them a hero almost without equal. In essence, he can call up the spirits of any Yun hero to aid him in battle. The more spirits he calls up and the stronger they are, the shorter the duration of their stay.
In at least one timeline, the Father of the Yun runs into Fujimaru’s group in the Solomon Singularity where the various Dianas proclaim that there’s no way they can lose now that their ‘grandpa’ has turned up to save the day.

Author’s Notes
There’s a reason the Yun revere their ancestors so much. Many of them were absolute badasses, and none more so than the original Yun himself. The other clans have similar figures (e.g., the First President of the Dia is the mythological original ruler of the Dia who first climbed to the top through a combination of intelligence, cunning, and sheer stubbornness), but the Father of the Yun is the most famous of them all. There is not a single Yun alive who has memorised the stories of his deeds, and it is customary before a big battle for Yun to go over their favourite stories as a way of motivating themselves and getting into the right frame of mind.
If you’re interested in my thoughts on writing and other topics, you can find those here.

Note
top 5 fgo events! (Including lostbelt and singularities)
Top 5 Main Story
SIN Lostbelt
Gen Urobutcher’s work as always win my heart
BUT WTF MUST FEELS HAPPENED?! IT’S NOT AS THOUGH LOSTBELT WHOLE STORY ITSELF IS BAD ENOUGHttt
Babylonia Singularity
Not going to lie, Caster Gilgamesh’s appearance was why this is second
His interaction with the Gudas made me laugh and shipped in particular for CasGil/Gudao. His interaction is also outright damn hilarious but I do like their frenemy relationship or still one-sided love from Ishtar’s part
Gilgamesh interaction with Kingu and especially about Enkidu is defintiely my most favorite since I fall in love with their friendship. And it broke my heart especially after the passing of Enkidu and him saving Kingu because losing his best friend once is already painful for anyone who has one you considered very close to even more than your family and anyone in the world
Merlin getting his ass kicked by Fou is outright hilarious, and I enjoyed his appearance when he helped the Gudas at the end to defeat Tiamat
Ana and Quetzalcoatl… Fuck my heart really broke for them especially Ana. Once given her identity revealed, it broke me especially facing Gorgon of what she will inevitably become. Quetz on the other hand tries to help Gorgon as being the best Onee-san and it didn’t really work out…
Eresh-chan where I’m really hoping she comes home in my Chaldea this year because her interaction is outright cute to the Gudas and specially despite her role as the antagonist, she loves and cares for humanity more than anyone
Lastly, no one actually bullied Romani this time round out of joke so much. Something that makes me really happy after the non-stop bullying from every fucking Singularity
Overall this singularity I’ll look forward to seeing it on anime soon, and eventually the rest of the singularity
Solomon Singularity
Needless to say, the conclusion for the first Arc will hit in the list
The fact every Servant that the Gudas meet will come to aid them knowing it’ll be death if they fail
Merlin’s confession that he’s Magi*Mari not only shocking but outright funny since it’s the relate example that your 2.5D waifu is probably an old dude behind the screen XD
Fou’s sacrifice to revive Mash… One of the heartbreaking scene at the end
But the one that hits the worst is Romani…. Him being Solomon, Marisbury’s Servant, the Grand Servant known as King of Mages… The man who spent his entire life worrying about the humanity’s end and feels helpless when he becomes human. Yet, he never regrets it because that was what he wants from the start, the one desire he finally is able to be selfish to say what he wants from his heart…
BRING BACK ROMANI 2K19!!!!
Camelot Singularity
My favorite is definitely how Gudas rebelled at the Lion King, their real answer to King Hassan about the whole situation in Camelot will does show their character development even if it’s reader-insert.
Da Vinci’s creation of the bumper mobile with Ozymandias’s pyramid XD
Bedivere’s heartbreaking scene where he cries alone from everything that has happened and his own fears ;~;
Nitocris initial appearance and her adorable Tsundere side to the Gudas after warming up to them XD
Lancelot and Lion King’s interaction. Despite she’s a divine goddess, at least I feel there’s her old humane self when interacting with her closest knight
Arash’s sacrifice…. Yeah, I feel so bad that I don’t want to level him up to become a suicide bomber from his NP OTL
Agravain… I want to see more of his appearance despite his personality and certain views… I feel complicated about him but I want to know more about his character and even his interaction with Gareth in particular
Definitely looking forward to Camelot anime movie when it’s out!
Shinjuku Singularity
Artoria Alter riding a bike wins!
But seriously the reason this is in is actually James himself. His entire apperance and role in the story just basically win my heart
Yan Qing too especially that one scene of cross-dressing to find out where he is among the mobs in disguise
Top 5 Events:
Fate/Zero Accel Event
Again, literally any Urobutcher’s work will hit my top list
Waver’s entire role and the finale with Iskandar… Yeah, fucking fate/zero feels all over again
And his interaction with his teacher especially wanting to save him because he failed once hurts too
But the fact he easily conned his teacher lessen the pain since it hurt my st
Despite the crazy price, Iskandar actually helping Kariya to save Sakura really wins me. Only the sad thing is because this is an alternate history…
Irisviel and Artoria’s interaction, their relationship in Fate/Zero speaks louder as Artoria really becomes her knight to protect Irisviel from harm until the end
Kerry and Irisviel’s interaction… At least a possible happy ending is finally formed for them despite they have a completely different relationship
Edmond Dantes Tower
I actually missed out this event… But why this is in the list it’s because I want to fucking play this event back once the rerun kicks in!
At least after reading Solomon Singularity where he appeared to aid Gudas… And of course with the pillars regretting how they fucked up by getting him as an ally to help the Gudas..
I seriously want to play the event… That’s it OTL
Da Vinci and 7 Counterfeit Heroic Spirits
The one event that’s basically one hell of a comedy fest XD
From Jeanne Alter counterfeiting Da Vinci’s stuff to summoning fake Servants to get Guda’s EX harem skills
Mama Emiya trying to escape but failed miserably!
The Fake Servant appearance where everyone guesses and tries to comprehend their role
FAKE SIEGFRIED, NUFF SAID! The Sumainai who actually don’t wants to be a sumanai downright hurt my stomach for a while
Best scene is still the crew breaking in to face Jeanne Alter, only to find her in questionable position with Fake Brynhildr. Gudas trying to get the Servants to fight only to remind by Mama Emiya that everyone lost their motivation thanks to that
Lastly the longest “…” scene with Jeanne Alter… Tsundere definitely cranks up high on her for this entire event XD
Little Santa Alter
The final Christmas that Romani appears TT_TT
The entire reason why this happens because of Jeanne Alter’s own plan and ended up backfiring her XD
But the Gudas actually coming up with this plan really does show further development in them after bonding all the Servants they had in Chaldea
Santa Island Mask, where no one knows it’s Amakusa Shiro but Lord Santam is where everyone obviously knows it’s Mama Emiya XD
Asterious, the cinnamon roll of fluff wish for happy days like this
Jack, Nursery and Jeanne Lily friendship development is definitely why this is in the list
And Jeanne Lily herself, her development from being a Santa claus to eventually being a proper Servant after finally being able to be selfish for what she wants
Almost Weekly Santa
The fact Artoria Alter drags the Guda with her is downright funny XD
Her beating nearly everyone before giving the present is amusing to see especially giving Emiya, David and Robin Eli-chan’s special Christmas concert
This event is why Alter version is the better Artoria since she actually pretended to lose so that Jack and Nursery are able to celebrate Christmas
Slippery Caesar getting away from conning other Servants, god fucking damn it!
Lastly Jeanne Alter and Artoria Alter bickering… Yep, they really get along well as the Gudas stated
But poor Pierre’s soul clones at the end on being Jeanne Alter’s partner in the game of monopoly

Now that I’ve played NA FGO for a bit, I’ve seen nice little tidbits of Gudao’s personality that otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten. I also read over all of the CCC event and I shall list some of my finds!
Prefer sleeping in Japanese-style rooms, on the floor with tatami mats. Presumably with a futon.
Is usually the straight-man between Mashu and Roman when Roman is being an idiot, and Mashu threatens to beat Roman up.
If you pick the silly options like I do, Gudao teaches Marie a new greeting: ‘Whassup’ and it gets infectious, and now everyone is saying it.
Gets goofy when Marie kisses him. FUCKING WEAK. He also freaks the fuck out when Passionlip kisses him on the cheek.
Thinks studying magecraft is uninteresting, and would prefer to go hear about some oil rig
Is a pervert, he points out that he can see BB’s panties, and points out the CCC order is shaped like a woman’s body
Is easily motivated by cuteness, even from the enemy
Thinks himself a little more highly after defeating Solomon
Is fast enough to dodge one slash from Suzuka
Can make good decisions on the fly
Is an awkward turtle, just nods when he doesn’t understand the whole thing.
Makes RPG games references. He shouts ‘GAWAIN HAS JOINED THE PARTY’ when he meets up with that solar powered pervert, same with Tristan.
Questions why the fuck BB is so annoying, putting this much effort on weird mechanics.
Easily empathizes with other people, seen when he sees the recordings of some of the employees when he was stuck in SE.RA.PH
Even though he is a perv, even Gawain is too much for him.
Can be really firm on his decisions.
Calls Demiya and Emiya, ‘EMIYA-Senpai’.
Likes his privacy
Will notice things that most people may miss, even if he doesn’t really know what he notices.
Is always the collateral damage
Dad friend(TM), will get embarrassed for his Servants’ actions.
Can be really blunt
Can only really be serious about revenge if it’s something rather... harmless. Like tickling.
Will also roast his servants sometimes. He tells Gawain that “he’d fight for the sake of abundant breasts”. Also comments on TamaCat’s stupidity.
Can shamelessly compliment strangers, mostly cute grills
Cares more about his servants than himself, even often telling them to rest even if they don’t seem to need it.
Will mourn a loss, but understands that he needs to continue on for the sake of a mission.
Is as perceptive, as he is dense.
If he can save his servant, he will take that option. However, if it comes down to it, he will give the command to kill his owns servants when they turn against him. He doesn’t like it much, but he had to put down EMIYA Alter in cold blood when he turned on him after Kiara further corrupts him.
Doesn’t have much respect for idiotic superiors once he’s made up his mind. He cuts off one of the superiors in one of Chaldea’s oil rigs when he suggested that they shouldn’t bother with Melt.
Appreciates the little, beautiful things in life. Like a sunset.
Apparently does not like older women who tries to solicit sex from him. ESPECIALLY Kiara,
Does get angry at Kiara’s reasons for becoming a BEAST.
Will honour a servant’s last wish, even if it means their death.
REALLY thinks BB is annoying. He tells her to go home when she shows up in chaldea.
This last point is probably the most important of all, but Gudao has actually died before. Though, in a separate timeline from this one. Gudao dies trying to protect Melt from Kiara, and it was worth it because Melt was able to warn herself from the past... and  he lives in the current time line.

Understanding Beast VII: Olgamarie’s and her family’s Sin in FGO
Note this is speculation meta which might or might not get jossed in the future, or change when I go through another branch. It's to explore what's said in the game, adaptation and other related (Nasu approved) material to speculate the themes of part 2. Working with contrasts with previous plot relevant Beasts, setting aside Tiamat animated parallel (which could get for Beast I in the future when Solomon temple is out as well), Goetia works the best because of the origins:
King Hassan (in disguise) warns in Babylonia through flowery language warns of two evils in particular. One is pity (or compassion), and another, the complementary one, shame (or regret). Beast VII sin hasn't been assigned, however it's very likely it'll be this one. I think I've covered up since the beginning of Lostbelt my suspicion Beast VII was the culprit because this sin was particularly fitting with Lostbelts and Crypters.
Beast I and Beast VII have some sort of connection, to each other. Holmes call Beast I attack the present from the past, while Beast VII from the future. It's the destruction of the past, the end of the future which somehow provokes this.
The Time Temple is compared by Da Vinci with Chaldeas, both as conceptual replicas of something on a smaller scale. Chaldeas is probably connected to Beast VII and the bleaching because it was made to observe the future, 100 years to be precise.
Now, talking about sins seems excessive, but I'm just using some contextual language since we speak of Beasts. Evils of Humanity. Beings who bear their fangs against the Human Order of the present to safeguard the Human Order. Well, of course, we're talking about the more plot-relevant ones and we can ignore Kiara or Kama for this lore definition. That's what I'm sticking with. Given that clarification, we should recap what was Beast I to understand why Animusphere are Beast VII and why Olga in particular, rather than her father (for now?).
Beast I was the consequence of a system designed to protect the Human Order and help humanity evolve. An observation system composed first of Solomon, who died, and then the 72 pillar demons. This birthed humanity incineration in their pride and anguish of humanity perceived meaningless and suffering. It was pity for that history of pain that led to extinguish it fire to use that energy and makeover the species (and the planet) from scratch. It was because they had the authority to do so. They were a system made to evolve humans, and one with human emotion and agency, unlike Solomon who could perform his duty because he had neither of those. Roman, the human born of Solomon's wish for a second life, countered such a statement denying the rights of such authority, returning Solomon's blessings to God, completing that task. Because he believed in many futures chosen by people themselves, and not chosen by him or his replacement. The reason why Goetia became Beast I and not Solomon was because Goetia had freedom to be angry and snap back, but Solomon admitted he didn’t have such freedom, so the potential of that evil was inherent in the system: an observation system to evolve humanity. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but perhaps it is when it demands it to have the reigns and control of it.
Back to Animuspheres. Why them? Creating Chaldea seems beneficial for humanity. Well, it is... but only if Chaldea is treated like was treated under Romani, Da Vinci and Gordolf: as a group that answers emergencies that endanger the present at the time rather than in potential for a future danger. Let’s remind what Olga said in Fuyuki:
(cutting because image heavy)
Tumblr media
On a first read, it sounds innocent, but actually, is a fairly arrogant claim. The speech beforehand should be revised (in particular with the recontextualization Mortalis Stella gives it having Emiya being angry with Olga and the Animuspheres):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basically, if Solomon and the 72 demon gods were Observers and Administrators to evolve Humanity (something Roman undid so humanity would be free to choose going their pace). Animuspheres fashioned themselves as Observers who ensure or validate Humanity future. The results of over 2000 years of experimentation. Now here’s the question, if Beast VII is the Beast made of this system, why was Olga, and not her father, the one who transformed? While in the past, I believed Marisbury would be Beast VII, I always have to wonder one thing: what could lead a man as self-assured and pragmatic to experience such shame and regret (if that was the Beast sin as I speculated) so I had to headcanon something like “whatever he saw in the future made him feel ashamed”, but thinking about it, he couldn’t be that for a similar reason Solomon wasn’t Beast I: he didn’t have the mindset for it (in Solomon’s case, it was because he had no freedom to choose to be angry - but this weakness also exists, even in Roman who dislikes watching and making people sad, he just diverted from his potential danger by his  personal journey as human). Marisbury’s simply someone who resolutely points a gun at himself and blows his brains out with a smile. He still could have been an evil of Humanity, like Solomon probably was (not the Servant record version), just unhatched because the sin assigned was never nurtured. His daughter on the other hand... Unlike her dad, Olgamarie accomplished nothing, she’s deemed as a failure, no matter how she tries, even less apt for Celestial Bodies Faculty than her father’s star pupil, Kirschtaria Wodime. She even clings to her ‘life’ in Fuyuki because of her regrets, expresses her cries for her own insignificance in her last moments unable to accept it’s over.
There surely are other factors, like humanity torturing her (Specimen E), her death, potentially being an artificial being, or family indoctrination. But it’s still Olgamarie’s choice and her flaws which led to this transformation. The emphasis made on Olgamarie’s choice was present in the Lostroom when Lev asks her what she’ll do and she doesn’t have an answer to him. Her only answer is in the game or in the storyline where she parrots they’ll protect the future:
Tumblr media
And now we’re back to Melty Blood: Backalley Nightmare. In that story, there's an argument of approaches to how to protect humanity. One is Sion, who abandons the big picture of 'preventing' a crisis and more 'do what little I can do' with the present. This is what Chaldea, the Chaldea after Olgamarie died led by Roman and his successors, has been doing, even in the Lostbelts. They try to protect what they could, and trust for the best. The other is Siamlin, who like Animuspheres did, is trying to observe the future and take measures to prevent it before it happens, no matter what she does, she justifies it as for the sake of the future.
Tumblr media
(and there's this warning right here).
Simultaneously there're two Olgamaries. A dead one, presumably from Siamlin’s timeline, is a child ghost with mysterious powers and says this: “The future will not change.” The other Olgamarie is actually from one of Atlas’ simulations but has become a real timeline (due to Ghost Olgamarie’s power). That Olgamarie meets Sion and has a change of heart. This is why I made emphasis on Olgamarie’s choice and agency earlier, because that Olgamarie takes FGO Olgamarie’s proud statements in the beginning about her and Animusphere’s mission and abandons it:
Our job to guarantee the future, but whose future do we guarantee? We say that we're going to ensure the future, but what kind of future do we think is good? We expanded on the land, we built cities, we crossed oceans, we travelled the skies, but for what purpose?
She concludes that, to change the future, working with the little things of the present should be more important. This speech she gives to Flauros before he detonates the bomb, and  it changes everything because no bomb goes off. Nobody died. Flauros changed his mind and agreed. While the ending is all poetic and symbolic. The result is Sion winning. And the materialization is what Olga (this Olgamarie) wants, same as Roman, a bright blue future which is the symbolism for “endless possibilities” (also mentioned and reminded in Lostroom by Lev to her). The future can change.
Well, I was lengthy, but I laid out something: Beast VII being Olgamarie, other than whatever tragic thing Nasu will toss to “soften” the blame, makes a lot of  sense if it’s the Beast of Shame/Regret who ends the present from the Future. Animusphere (or Animusphere experiment) connected to Chaldeas and filled to the brim with feelings of not being good enough, and who thought needed to ensure humanity’s future. However, I think the one who has to defeat Beast VII is Olgamarie herself too. Because there need to be clear that humanity doesn’t need anyone to validate the future for them and the approach to change what’s the come is more “focusing on what little you can do now” than “obtain a great power to change things” which is what Olgamarie concluded in that manga (ironically FGO Olga strongly preached for latter in her speech; it’s no surprise U Olga exists partly, IMO, due to this). It’s possible that the thematic resolution will be similar, give or add new themes with more packing punch and characters involved.
P.S. Moonlight Lostroom OVA and Mortalis Stella in particular make emphasis that Olgamarie has doubts about her mission, but it seems she sticks with it. But once again, it’s important that these got (belatedly) added to reflect the post Melty Blood manga retcons.

Solomon Singularity: Section 14~End
YAS, THE FINAL POST AND FINAL HALF AGAINST GOETIA!!! This has been long week of queue post on the final singularity... A painful and sad yet also the best ending no one could ever asked for the closure on the first half of the FGO main story... Let’s welcome and finish it to the end!
Tumblr media
Section 14
Running out of the throne back towards throne, Da Vinci urged us to get to the gate quickly before we disappeared into the light with the Singularity.
Tumblr media
Jeanne announcing to all Servants that we’ve won at last. Though it was a shame everyone left early... At least Gilgamesh still stick around. or giving the words to Jeanne we’ll take care of everything in our hands for humanity
Though.. At his final words, because Beast Class behave like a chain of reaction... The Final Evil supposedly Beast VII will show up eventually.
But... As we hurried... WHAT?! GOETIA IS STILL ALIVE?! And before us now in a human form... A final fight to end this came... With the pride at stake for humanity, own future and lives... We witness the final fight to return humanity back to normal!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With the final strike... Goetia vanished completely, complimenting human life may be short but it’s also fascinating to the end. As we tried to reach for the gate with pathway collapsing...
Tumblr media
Mash? Her hand stretched out to us as we finally reyshifted out of the temple!
Section 15
At somewhere in the void, Mash meets a strange being who grants her back to life. As her tasks has yet to be completed, a Beast introduced themselves... Cath Palug aka Fou, revealed himself to be the Beast Class known as Primate Murder.
At the price of bringing back Mash’s life, Fou will lose his own personality and will to become a normal animal instead. While Mash cried out to him, Fou congratulates Chaldea for defeating him with no blood needed to be shed...
Back with the familiar opening sequence... Mash.... She really did came back to life. Da Vinci greeting us as we returned Chaldea in peace! As she congratulates..... And avoiding the dead person... Looks like things will be busy for the coming EOR and future ahead
As the mission is to go outside... We finally the clear blue sky of our time, without Solomon’s band of rings to incinerate humanity. The first part of our journey has come to an end at last...!
Tumblr media
Though before it ends, Da Vinci remembers her conversation with Romani during America Singularity. Looks like Da Vinci knew all along about Romani’s trump card... And his own true identity. Romani also talked about his own past as King Solomon’s own personality... And how eventually Romani’s name came to be.... Knowing things will be in good hands, Romani entrusted the future of Chaldea and humanity into our hands
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Observation & Thoughts:
Other than the raids against those stupid pillars.. This is much easier when you really do bring Herc-chan for the final fight
Definitely proud and happy that no Command Seals were used to complete this final Singularity!
Pillars themselves:
Just bring your best and highest bond level and borrowed support to complete
Each of them are personally a big bitch, especially Halphas, who the fuck crits 24/7 for a pillar!
Preferably to deal with them each... Bring your best bond level Berserker, ST NP preferred, to one shot them
Raid wise after trying out.... I really lost motivation because unless this is Rashomon or so... My motivation went straight zero since I prefer not doing something like this for a main quest OTL But hey, drop rates are good since Barbatos still died and bullied the most till the very end!
Goetia: King of Demon Gods
Servant with skill seal fucking works! PLease do fucking bring them and NP charge/instant use so that he doesn’t nuke your whole team!
But this fight is the most scariest because Herc-chan was soloing during 3/4 of his HP
Nevertheless by his final guts from skill.... He deal the finishing blow onto him!
But yeah, Ozzy and Quetz or those with NP seal are more preferred in this fight
Goetia: King of Humans
If you can’t time when he decided to use his suicide attack... Stall long enough until he decided to use it!
I went with George, Kintoki, Waver support, Jeanne, Ozymandias and Herc-chan
And surprisingly... MVP is actually George he actually stalled until nearly half of his HP before dying
With Jeanne coming in though I didn’t use her NP, their defense is just practically there since it’s taking forever to Goetia to kill either one
His suicide attack was used on Turn 14 nearing to 99k HP left, so after killing them...
Ozzy and Herc-chan came out, with Ozzy dealing the final brave chain overkilled damage to him!
It varies on people again (which is fucking rng itself), so if you can get the timing to put up guts... Have him stalled long enough to kill only your first five Servants, leaving the last Servant to deal the killing blow
Now that this is over... Time to go back to grinding hell and interludes to complete before Moon Goddess rerun! :D
