Miss Meadows Addams
In my opinion, Miss Meadows' movie reminds me a bit of the Addams family. Mary Meadows doesn't have that dark appearance at first glance, but her attitude of not being afraid, not being fazed by death, being a monster but in a good way, attracting the sheriff to her "vision" of the world… even her protection of the children reminds me of the importance of the family for the Addams

Character Profile - Cousin Itt
Cousin Itt was created for the 1960s TV show, so I don’t have a quote from Charles Addams saying what he should be like. He was fashioned after two drawings of a man completely covered in/made out of hair and wearing sunglasses:
In his first TV appearance, he was a little person wearing a suit and gloves, who simply had a tremendous amount of hair. You could clearly see his legs, arms, and hands. Here he is performing a magic act for the family:
That first costume was made using real human hair, but since everyone everywhere smoked all the time back in the 60s, the costume was later changed to synthetic hair to be less of a fire hazard. They also added more hair, glasses, and sometimes a hat. This became the iconic look of Cousin Itt.
He was played by Felix Silla (above right), who at 3’11” tall was the perfect height to wear the costume. While he performed Itt’s actions, they did not use his voice. Itt’s signature meeping sounds were created by the show’s sound engineer, Tony Magro. His way of speaking was replicated in various ways in every later incarnation, even when he was voiced by a celebrity. In the 2019 and 2021 3D animated films, his voice was provided by Snoop Dogg, but it sounds like it was played backwards and the pitch was raised and possibly sped up. Despite his speech being indecipherable, the members of the Addams family can all understand Itt perfectly.
In the sitcom, Itt will ring the doorbell when he arrives at the house, but if they take too long to let him in, he’ll climb up the walls and enter the house through a window or the chimney. Itt doesn’t live in the house, but he has a guest room built to his dimensions. The others have to stoop to fit inside of it. It’s played for comedic effect, but it’s kind of wonderful that there’s at least one place where other people have to deal with everything being built for his size, rather than the other way around.
The plots for Cousin Itt’s appearances in the sitcom centered around him finding a job or, at one point, losing his hair. In the 1991 film, he falls in love with Margaret Alford, the wife of Tully Alford, who was scamming the family. This sort of establishes Itt as a ladies’ man, which carries over into the 90s animated series and the 3D animated films. Though in the 1993 movie, he’s happily married to Margaret and they have a hairy little child together named What.
Cousin Itt has not yet appeared in the Netflix show Wednesday, though an ancestor of his has. In the seventh episode, Fester, Thing, and Wednesday break into a safe behind a painting of Ignatius ”Iggy” Itt. The way that Fester refers to him makes it clear that this is not the Itt that they both know today, but a different, earlier relative. In addition to that, the dates under the painting are from 200 years ago, and we can assume that Cousin Itt is not over 200 years old. Though it is hard to tell with this family.
Will Cousin Itt make an appearance in Wednesday? It’s unlikely to happen in season 2 unless it’s a surprise. None of the guest stars listed are under four feet tall. There is the possibility that one of the new actors with an unnamed role could be the voice actor for Itt, and a little person would be hired to do the body work, but it’s far more likely that they would hire someone famous for the role.
We are already meeting Grandmama in season 2, and there will be some amount of plot happening in the Addams family mansion, so we can’t completely rule out the possibility of Itt making an appearance. However, they may also wait until a third season to introduce him, and hire someone like Warwick Davis to play him. Right now, only those involved in the show know for certain.

The Addams are supportive of anyone, even if you're not as dark or scary as them. Cousin Itt's wife, Margaret, is like your typical suburban housewife. She wears pastels, is very feminine, and she dresses up as a fairy princess for Halloween. And none of them want to change her. She's family and that's all that matters

TEA SET PLACED BETWEEN THEM; the finest china the family owned, filled with – Earl Grey. She had asked for it, not belladonna or foxglove, but this. Only had it in the house because Cousin Itt and his wife had been visiting not too long ago and Margaret seemed to prefer this too. And Addams were known for their hospitality – a tradition going back decades and generations. Couldn’t ruin their good name by not offering the stranger a hot drink of their choice. Especially after the mess the children had made.
“ – I’m afraid I haven’t even asked your name yet.” The spell book Pugsley and Wednesday must have grabbed from Mama’s private bookshelf was placed on the table as well; one page marked – one page he had glimpsed at when he had picked it up from the chalk circle the children had drawn in the adjacent parlor. Not a demon they had wanted to summon. A goddess of death and destruction. Oh, this had to be Wednesday’s idea; always had so wonderfully creative and complex ideas. Clever child. Effigy of her mother. | @ventureheart LIKED.

Hii! I dont know if anyones asked before, but, which of the Addams are each of the turtles based of?
Me and a friend watched the Addams for the first time because of your AU and were not really understanding anything jjsjdk /nm
-adam :]
I think I've mentioned it, but It doesn't hurt to say it again! No worries at all <3
Leo: Morticia and Fester! Morticia in how he carries himself (both are very flowy and wispy, I guess is the way I'd describe it) and Fester in the stalkerish tendencies he has.
Mikey: pugsley ALL THE WAY. Loves demolition, completely feral, etc etc? Match made in HEAVEN. Also Debbie, the main villain in Family Values!!!! Idk, he loves spending just like her and would definitely burn down a house over a malibu barbie.
Donnie: probs has the least direction, he had very minor inspiration of Fester bc of his science-y kinda nature that he has sometimes (at least, like, beakers in his room in the 1991 movie, I think?)
Raph: was inspired by Lurch, their butler, and the comic series/1964 sitcom Wednesday (she had a doll she carried around all the time)!
April: visually, by Wednesday in the recent animated movies (I detest them with my whole being but the noose braids look cool so). Insperation personality wise is also Wednesday but in the older movies bc of her really flat way of speaking and like. Her saying kinda shocking/out of pocket things?
Usagi: inspired by Morticia in a way (his body shape, mostly LMAOOOO) but also by Margaret (married Cousin Itt in the 1991 movie) slightly! Just by how she 'married into' the family and her generally kinda nervous demeanor.
Splinter and BM were inspired by Gomez and Morticia respectively. BM was also inspired by Debbie, for the. Murder and love of all pretty/expensive things, lol!

"Wednesday had to admit, you did well. Meeting everyone, remembering names, remembering to compliment them as only an Addams would. Surprisingly, you got along well with cousin Itt and Margaret. Well, more so Margaret, she was an Addams by, marriage instead of blood, much like yo-
Damn, Wednesday! Planning the wedding to Birdy already. She better let Thing be the Flower Girl!
Wednesday Friday "Simp" Addams, she can deny her feelings but she can't deny her DNA. Thing would be the best Flower Girl, it's what he deserves 👋💐

You're a dumbass (that was aggressive) if you think the Addams family is the only set of odd people in their world. The Addams Family tv show was a big deal because they were the Outlier in Our world for the portrayal of modern families and how they function. The fact that the show portrayed a happy husband and wife, a wife who runs the family and house is more dominant, siblings who got along and tried to kill each other, parents who actually loved their children, and a group of people who weren't afraid to talk about death and the macabre were all out of place back in the 60s because at the time all the things on television were parents who hated each other, hated their children, and were far too... sanitized
Now i won't speak to the show specifically because I've never had the opportunity to watch it in full however, The Addams Family movies also show at Fester's birthday that there is plenty of non-Addams outcasts in the world [Morticia and her sister Ophelia (whose mentioned in the show and maybe shown?) aren't originally Addams they're Frumps, Flora and Fauna Amor, Lurch - whose their butler not an Addams] And people who spend time with them that aren't outcasts. Including people who marry into outcast families [Margaret Alford, Debbie Jellinsky and the possibility of Joel Glicker, although that never actually went anywhere given he and Wednesday were like 12]
Use cognitive thinking skills for 2 seconds, the Addams Family are fucking wierd. But in 1964 when the show came out there was 3,273,978,338 people in the world, when the Addams Family movies came out there were 5,414,289,444 and 5,581,597,546 respectively. And when Wednesday came out there are ~8,003,311,800ish people in the world. The idea that only 7 to 9 people, depending on the series, in the world
[Beginning with the 1964 television series, the Addams Family consists of Gomez and Morticia Addams, their children Wednesday and Pugsley, close family members Uncle Fester and Grandmama, their butler Lurch, and Pugsley's pet octopus, Aristotle. The dimly seen Thing (later a disembodied hand) was introduced in 1954, and Gomez's Cousin Itt and Morticia's pet lion Kitty Kat in 1964. Pubert Addams, Wednesday and Pugsley's infant brother, was introduced in the 1993 film Addams Family Values.] who are outcasted and off and wierd and odd is an impossible idea.
Nevermore is kinda Harry Potter-Monster High-Charles Xaviers School for Gifted Children ish, but the idea that there wouldn't be a safe school for odd children (Vampires? Werewolves?) to go safely away from humans and other normies is kind of a... bad thought. Especially in an age now where we are constantly asking for safe spaces to be built because other people are jackasses.

Oh also more things about this au:
I’ve decided there will be characters from other adaptations in this, so Aunt Ophelia is there and she still looks like Carolyn Jones and you can pry her from my cold dead hands
Enid Sinclair is also there, as are Cousin Itt and Margaret Alford
Again it’s not all angst! Pugsley and Wednesday get stuff to do that’s actually fun!!
Pugsley specifically bc nobody uses him in any new stuff and I think that’s criminal
He gets some very cool new friends and spends a lot of time just chilling with Grandmamma and Ophelia
Idk if I’m gonna have Pubert in it bc I have no idea what to do with them
Wednesday on the other hand is getting a love interest (Enid)
I wanted it to be Lucas but I weighed the pros and cons and I think Enid is better for this ver of Wednesday than Lucas
Also there’s no other Wednesday characters, just Enid and maybe Yoko
Morticia does NOT like her
After Debbie she doesn’t trust blondes
Grandmamma is just chilling, casting her curses and trying to help her grandkids with their stuff
Same with Thing
Oh and in this au he has a box like in the sitcom cause I think that gag is fantastic
Uhh that’s all the fun stuff I can think of
THASTS REALLY COOL ACTUALLY
i haven't watched wednesday but. can morticia get over her blondie trauma to be friends with enid. adhd daughter in law and autism mother in law.

I’m going to put all the crazy bullshit that occurs in this episode under the cut bc I have a feeling my special interest is going to make this a long one. @lucimiir
So it’s the story of how Gomez and Morticia met and got together in their twenties, but for various reasons (one of which will be revealed below) the producers didn’t want to pull a Wednesday and just cast younger actors that looked similar
So, of course, they just put Carolyn Jones and John Astin in different outfits! A classic move tbh
John Astin is wearing two (or sometimes more) sweaters and argyle socks to signify that he is Young Now, and he looks about two decades older
Meanwhile, Carolyn Jones gets two new outfits, because young Morticia (who, inexplicably, has the exact same outfit and hairstyle as little Wednesday) isn’t the only character she plays in this episode
That’s right, Morticia’s Romance features my personal favorite supporting character in the whole show: Morticia’s sister Ophelia, whom I can only describe as a bardcore flower child manic pixie dream girl. I wish I was creative enough to make this up
Anyway, yeah, they dressed Carolyn Jones in a white dress and ballet shoes, a blonde wig and a flower crown, THEN they dressed her up as Wednesday, and occasionally used movie magic to make the two sisters interact. Liv and Maddie who
Also, not only does Morticia have a sister, but she’s somehow considered the plain one compared to Ophelia? She’s definitely the least favorite child, seeing as their mom is just incredibly mean to Tish the whole episode
Oh yeah, their mom is played by Margaret Hamilton, whom you may know as THE WICKED FUCKING WITCH OF THE WEST.
That’s why I think they couldn't get younger actors for Morticia and Gomez. They blew their casting budget on a star
Anyway the premise of the whole episode is that young Gomez is supposed to marry Ophelia instead of Morticia, because she’s older and supposedly more desirable even though they’re the same actress
(Pre-Morticia, btw, Gomez is a sickly young lad who’s described as “a weak, sniveling coward” several times and wears the worst ugliest socks I’ve ever seen)
Anyway, he obviously falls head over heels for Morticia, and is actually kinda mean to Ophelia because he can’t work up the guts to just say he likes Morticia better
They agree that they’re madly in love but since Morticia’s a really devoted sister she doesn’t wanna steal Ophelia’s fiancé. So Gomez asks Cousin Itt what to do
Cousin Itt tells Gomez to kill himself. I am not joking, nor is Cousin Itt
He decides to go through with it and Tish decides to join him. The only reason they don’t both die is because Thing steals the guns. Thing has the only brain cells in this entire fucking family and he doesn’t even have a head
Anyway Fester gets involved and introduces Ophelia to Cousin Itt, who is a playboy if you didn’t know. This comes back later
They actually make it to the altar, but at the last second Gomez mans up (because he’s not wearing those ugly ass socks) and says he won’t marry Ophelia
Ophelia is completely fine with this, so she just leaves with Cousin Itt in her arms. See I told you it would come back later
Anyway Morticia (now wearing her normal dress and hair) takes her sister’s place and marries Gomez and it’s so cute and I can’t deal with them and every time I watch it I go crazy. Yeah
On a not-silly side note here, the way young Gomez and Morticia develop as characters is so cool and so important to their future personalities IMO!
Gomez goes from “weak, sniveling coward” who refuses to take risks to the boisterous, loving, joyful madman we all know through his love for Morticia! He chose to change for the better because he just loved her too much to be a man who would let her go
And Morticia’s protectiveness of her own family is shown early on in her devotion to Ophelia! Not to mention her pride in how cool her new Addams family is stems from her hot mess of a biological family
So they found their best selves through each other <3 god a sitcom from the 1960s shouldn’t make me want to eat this much glass
Ok that’s enough analysis for now. Back to the sillies
First off, it’s revealed that, underneath all the hair, Cousin Itt has roots. It’s just roots in there. Simultaneously the vaguest and most disturbing thing they could’ve said ever, I love it
Ophelia’s things are that she loves flowers, medieval literature (specifically Don Quixote which is incredibly fitting because he’s Like That) and water! She apparently just loves to jump into bodies of water. Because her name is Ophelia. Do you get it do you get the shake spear reference
Oh and also, Morticia’s maiden name is Frump. Morticia Frump. Ophelia Frump. The mom’s name is Hester Frump. And Fester is Morticia’s uncle, so his name could very well be Fester Frump
Gomez and Morticia’s mothers are both in the episode, but neither of their fathers are there. Morticia mentions her father and implies that he and her mother had a happy marriage, so I’m going to assume he’s not there because he’s dead. One more thing to add to the list of Things Morticia Will For Sure Mention In Therapy One Day
Last thing is that the framing sequence of this episode is Gomez and Morticia telling the story to their kids. After the kids go to bed, Gomez asks Morticia to “go upstairs and enjoy the thunderstorm together.” It’s subtle enough for 1960s television but just barely
She says no because she wants to work on her painting, and he immediately switches gears and starts oohing and aahing over said painting. Hey did you know that I love them more than life itself
It’s very late so I will be scheduling this post for a time when I know I will be awake. Thank you for listening to me infodump on the most bizarre Addams Family lore I know. It will happen again
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Morticia’s Romance is one of the wildest things ever to hit sitcom television

I firmly believe that Enid will probably be totally chill about all things Addams. At first, she'll probably be a bit apprehensive but will soon be very:
Wednesday *obviously digging up a grave*
Enid: "...what you doing there?"
Wednesday: "Uncle Fester's birthday present is going to be grandmother's teeth glued into a necklace"
Enid: "Oh...cool! I'll go get the glue and OH! Let's put GLITTER in the roots!"
I'm also thinking she'll be very much like Margaret in this scene:
(For those that don't know Margaret, she ends up getting with Cousin Itt and they eventually have a baby together.) But I'm thinking of this scene when they all decide to play "Wake the Dead" and Margaret is like a little alarmed by the game but is like, okay cool I'll still play! And you see her in the background digging up a grave like it's no big deal.
I hold firmly to this until the show crushes all of my Enid headcanons and I spiral into madness

Morticia Addams Family
Mother and elder sister of Morticia Addams.
OPHELIA: Whereas her sister likes to cut the blossoms from flowers, Ophelia prefers the withered blooms. She'll often carry a bouquet of daisies. She cultivates flowers both in her garden and on her head!
HESTER: Granny Frump favors Ophelia over Morticia. She brews trouble and potions. She tried to arrange a marriage between Gomez and Ophelia, but Ophelia ran off with Cousin Itt instead.
Shared 5/22/2022 Sims 4 GALLERY LINK
Love this pair. I’m more connected to the 1960s TV show versions for both Hester and Ophelia Frump. Not only are they more fitting as Addams characters, but the mother is played by the wonderful actress, Margaret Hamilton, and Ophelia is playfully portrayed by Carolyn Jones!

My childhood in some TV show:
1) Murder She Wrote (1984 - 1996)
Murder, She Wrote is an American crime drama television series starring Angela Lansbury (born October 16, 1925) as mystery writer and amateur detective Jessica Fletcher. Moving into television in 1984, she achieved worldwide fame as fictional writer and sleuth Jessica Fletcher in the American whodunit series Murder, She Wrote, which ran for twelve seasons until 1996, becoming one of the longest-running and most popular detective drama series in television history.
The show revolves around the day-to-day life of Jessica Fletcher, (formerly MacGill), a widowed and retired English teacher, who becomes a successful mystery writer. Despite fame and fortune, Jessica remains a resident of Cabot Cove, a small coastal community in Maine, and maintains her links with all of her old friends, never letting her success go to her head.
Jessica invariably proves more perceptive than the official investigators of a case, who are almost always willing to arrest the most likely suspect. By carefully piecing the clues together and asking astute questions, she always manages to trap the real murderer.
Jessica's relationship with law enforcement officials varies from place to place. Both sheriffs of Cabot Cove resign themselves to having her meddle in their cases. However, most detectives and police officers do not want her anywhere near their crime scenes, until her accurate deductions convince them to listen to her. Some are happy to have her assistance from the start, often because they are fans of her books. With time, she makes friends in many police departments across the U.S., as well as with a British police officer attached to Scotland Yard. At the start of season eight, more of the stories were set in New York City with Jessica moving into an apartment there part-time in order to teach criminology.
2) Columbo (1968 - 2003)
Columbo is an American crime drama television series starring Peter Falk as Columbo, a homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. Columbo is a shrewd but inelegant blue-collar homicide detective whose trademarks include his rumpled beige raincoat, unassuming demeanor, cigar, old Peugeot 403 car, unseen wife (whom he mentions frequently), and often leaving a room only to return with the catchphrase "Just one more thing." Columbo and his wife own also a Basset Hound named Dog.
Peter Falk (September 16, 1927 – June 23, 2011) was an American actor and comedian, known for his role as Lieutenant Columbo in the long-running television series Columbo (1968–2003), for which he won four Primetime Emmy Awards (1972, 1975, 1976, 1990) and a Golden Globe Award (1973).
The recurring plot's homicide suspects are often affluent members of high society; this has led some to see class conflict as an element of each story, however the show's creators have stated that setting the program in the world of the wealthy and powerful was to create a fish out of water feeling, not to make a social or political point. Suspects carefully cover their tracks and are initially dismissive of Columbo's circumstantial speech and apparent ineptitude. They become increasingly unsettled as his pestering behavior teases out incriminating evidence. His relentless approach often leads to self-incrimination or outright confession.
3) The Munsters (1964 - 1966)
The Munsters is an American sitcom depicting the home life of a family of benign monsters. The series starred Fred Gwynne as Frankenstein's monster and head-of-the-household Herman Munster; Yvonne De Carlo as his wife Lily Munster; Al Lewis as Lily's father, Grandpa, the somewhat over-the-hill vampire Count Dracula who longs for the "good old days" in Transylvania; Beverley Owen (later replaced by Pat Priest) as their teenage niece Marilyn Munster, who was attractive by conventional standards but the "ugly duckling" of the family; and Butch Patrick as their werewolfish son Eddie Munster. The series was a satire of both traditional monster movies and the wholesome family fare of the era. It ran concurrently with the similarly macabre-themed The Addams Family (which aired on ABC).
4) Zorro (1957 - 1959)
Armando Joseph Catalano (January 14, 1924 – April 30, 1989), better known as Guy Williams, was an Italo-American actor and former fashion model. Among his most notable achievements were TV serie Zorro (1957), in which he played the title chatacter: the noble hildago Don Diego de la Vega, who became the masked vigilante Zorro.
Don Diego de la Vega is a young man who is the only son of Don Alejandro de la Vega (George J. Lewis), the richest landowner in California, while Diego's mother is dead. Diego learned his swordsmanship while at university in Madrid, and created his masked alter ego after he was unexpectedly summoned home by his father because California had fallen into the hands of the greedy and cruel local Comandante, Capitán Enrique Sánchez Monasterio (Britt Lomond).
Just before reaching California, Diego learns of the tyranny of Captain Monastario, and realizes that his father, Don Alejandro, summoned him to help fight this injustice. Although he won medals for his fencing back in Spain, Diego decides that his best course of action is to conceal his ability with a sword, and to affect the demeanor of a milquetoast intellectual rather than a decisive man of action. His alter ego, Zorro operates primarily at night, taking the direct action that Diego cannot. This deception does not always sit well with Diego, especially as it affects his relationship with his disappointed father. In reality, Diego relies heavily on his wits, both with and without the mask on. Later in the series, Diego emerges as a respected figure in his own right, a clever thinker and loyal friend who just happens to be hopeless at swordplay.
He is typically portrayed as a dashing masked vigilante who defends the commoners and indigenous peoples of California against corrupt and tyrannical officials and other villains, helped by his mute servant Bernardo, played by Gene Sheldon (born Eugene Hume, February 1, 1908 – May 1, 1982), an American actor, mime artist, and musician.
The character's visual motif is typically a black costume with a black flowing Spanish cape or cloak, a black flat-brimmed hat known as sombrero cordobés, and a black sackcloth mask that covers the top half of his head. In Disney's Zorro television series the horse gets the name Tornado, which has been kept in many later adaptations. In most versions, Zorro keeps Tornado in a secret cave, connected to his hacienda with a system of secret passages and tunnels.
5) Addams Family (1964 - 1966)
The Addams Family is a close-knit extended family with decidedly macabre interests and supernatural abilities, though no explanation for their powers is explicitly given in the series. The wealthy, endlessly enthusiastic Gomez Addams (John Astin) is madly in love with his refined wife, Morticia (Carolyn Jones). Along with their daughter Wednesday (Lisa Loring), their son Pugsley (Ken Weatherwax), Uncle Fester (Jackie Coogan), and Grandmama (Blossom Rock), they reside at 0001 Cemetery Lane in an ornate, gloomy, Second Empire-style mansion, which is portrayed by the house at 21 Chester Place in Los Angeles.
The family is attended by their servants: towering butler Lurch (Ted Cassidy); and Thing (also Cassidy), a disembodied hand that appears from within wooden boxes and other places. Other relatives who made recurring appearances included Cousin Itt (Felix Silla), Morticia's older sister Ophelia (also portrayed by Jones), and Morticia's mother Grandma Frump (Margaret Hamilton).
Question: how old am I?
Little clue: my birth year is one of the dates above.

Which monsterfucker’s wedding would you want to attend? How would you imagine their wedding?
Oh I love this ask. This is a wonderful question. I have three.
Okay one, I'd love to attend Elisa and Goliath's wedding. I know I'd cry. I can see it being set on a full moon, on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea. Maybe there's fireflies, they know some sorcerers, get some magelights up in there. (Bronx carries the rings.) You ever see Quest for Camelot? That dress Kayley wears at the end?
Yeah, that's how I imagine Elisa's dress. Something long and drapey and medieval, no veil, just a flower crown. Maybe Goliath would wear some leather pants, maybe not. Afterwards he'd probably scoop her up and fly off into the moonlit sea. Idk. Everyone else probably moves on to a nearby castle's mess hall and drinks the night away.
Next would be Margaret and Cousin Itt's, because an Addams' wedding? I would pay to be there. I can't even imagine what the venue would be. A rotting mansion? An abandoned castle? A cathedral decorated by vivisected inquisitors of centuries passed? Who knows, Satan probably got an invite. And Bigfoot. Also someone definitely got murdered on the dance floor.
Finally, the number one monster fucker wedding I would like to attend is Anima's from FFX. What would the wedding look like? Not important, because I'm crashing it. If there is a window anywhere I am ramming my ass through it at mach speed to save that woman from an unhappy marriage to a FUCKING TREE COWARD and future, shitty ass son.
