GEMMA: So. Why are we here? DARREL: I know why I’m here. The question is, why are you here? GEMMA: Ah, c’mon man. Sulani. The cushiest and most exclusive resort on the whole island. Even more cushy and exclusive now that they’re filming Mad About Dodo. DARREL: Mad about what now? Mundanes still believe that they exist?

GEMMA: No, you doofus. Only the hottest reality tv show in the Simsverse. And Dodo Harper is the bachelor. DARREL: The twin of He Who Shall Not Be Named?

GEMMA: Now look around us. It’s a beautiful sunset. About to be a beautiful night. Why do you darken my day by bringing up that turd and his pro-vampire propaganda piece? Somewhere nearby, a loading screen blips, deposits a Sim on the nearby shore (he never even got peanuts on his ride). A Wildfang emerges.

LOU: Well, hey. Had no idea I’d be working with spellcaster royalty. If I’d known, I’d have taken a longer wolf bath before boarding the loading screen. DARREL: Great. My associate is a Wildfang. GEMMA: Darrel, be cool. Don’t mind my brother. He doesn’t actually hate werewolves. DARREL: I don’t. I’m wary of them. No offence. GEMMA: He just miscast a spell one day and his face has been frozen like that ever since. So sad.

DARREL: I did not miscast a spell. GEMMA: Whatever. I however am a werewolf ally. LOU: I can tell by the lack of tense moodlets on you. Awoo! DARREN: How does that even apply when you’re not transformed?

LOU: For you, baby? I can transform. GEMMA: Don’t bother. He’s engaged and not the slightest bit interested in that throuple update coming to base game. Though he supports it in principle. DARREN: Yeah. See this finger?

LOU: Bro. Wrong finger. And that was hurtful. DARREN: Ah plum. Look, I’m just juggling a lot at the moment with the wedding and an upcoming trial- GEMMA: He’s going to be a Master Caster… DARREN: And for all I know, you’re a decent enough guy. But when I was told that I’d be working with a werewolf, I was expecting someone with more of a… reputation for polish and professionalism. Someone from the Collective, maybe.

GEMMA: Guys, it will be fine. This big secret thing that you’re not telling me, that is. Maybe you can start over by trading hair care tips? Even though Darrel only has the second best ‘do of all the spellcasters. DARREN: Ember has to be using some kind of untamed magic. I just know it. Therefore it doesn’t count. LOU: Hey, your locks are truly luscious, man. Could totally smell the keratin the second I got off the loading screen. DARREN: Oh, really? Thank you. It’s my-

GEMMA: And it could be worse. At least you’re not working with Vladdy Daddy... [mimes the creep walk] All three laugh. 

Here, however, comes someone who is not laughing. In fact, had she French kissed a lemon beforehand, you would probably describe her expression as ‘joyous’ next to the one she’s currently wielding.

ROSAMUND: Pleased to see that you have already found each other. But why am I addressing a child? My directives were clear. This is a potential business meeting, not a summer camp.

GEMMA: Child? You know, gameplay mechanics allow me to do all the things that a young adult can do. Even perform caregiving duties on an infant, only I don’t get any parenting skill boost from it. Do you ever think about that? No, you only ever think about yourselves. LOU: That’s so unfair. GEMMA: [fake sniff] I know! ROSAMUND: We can discuss the rights of the disenfranchised Thriftea generation later. Shall we sojourn to somewhere more private? LOU: [to Gemma] Hey, she’s got that kind of knack where she phrases something like it’s a request. Only it’s anything but a request- TOGETHER: I stan.

ROSAMUND: So. Is there an adult present with whom I may converse?

DARREN: That would be me. And not simply by default, though I can understand you having that impression. ROSAMUND: Yes. You come highly recommended at least. Please. Have a seat.

GEMMA: So, Wildfang. What news of this gig? What do your wolf ears perceive? LOU: A Lord of the Swings reference. I dig it. GEMMA: Something about Mad About Dodo? LOU: Oh my Watcher, I am obsessed! When that hot mean girl type was all set to Black Widow challenge Vlad- GEMMA: Not all heroes wear capes! LOU: And then that sweet shy twink finally got to shoot his shot at the WowWow hut! GEMMA: Total OTPness! LOU: Oh, but then that one dude drowned.

GEMMA: Which at first I thought was funny because I was like ‘people, chill, there’s a spell for that dot com?’ But then I remembered that everyone on that show is a mundane, probably because "Mister Vampire War Crimes Apologist" wants to be able to torture all the truly helpless Sims without any pushback or accountability or something. LOU: Plum, I hate that dick.  GEMMA: So then I felt bad for thinking that it was funny? Since they don’t know what we know. And Dodo was crying over his tombstone and shit.

LOU: Yeah, that was rough but like, don’t feel bad. Our first reaction to anything ever is all down to social conditioning, you know? You reframed the situation in your own mind with hindsight and that’s what’s important. GEMMA: Thank you. LOU: I got you. Anyways. The tea is that her daughter’s on the show and she’s not happy. GEMMA: Oh my Watcher, I knew that she looked familiar! She has to be - TOGETHER: [scooby doo villain reveal tone] - Minty’s Mom!!! GEMMA: And Minty almost died too. No wonder Lady Muck-Muck here looks like she just stepped in a three hundred year old corpse. LOU: Yeah, I would be Blood Moon Rising level Furious if it was my pup. [whispers even quieter] But as well as ‘a’ mommy, she’s also Mommy, am I right? GEMMA: Totally Mommy. Though I’m still a teenager so I don’t have those moodlets about anyone above my age group yet. LOU: Don’t worry. I’ve got enough for the both of us.

ROSAMUND: Let neither of us disrespect the other by wasting their time. What do you know of untamed magic? DARREL: About five thousand simoleons worth more than what you’re currently offering. ROSAMUND: A risky venture and you must be compensated accordingly for your labour. Understood. DARREL: You’ve obviously done your research. You know then that we Charms are an old spellcaster family and we don’t need the money. And neither are we the types to dispense cheap party tricks for hire. [glances over at Gemma] Well, those of us who are of age anyway. I want to know that you’re serious about this. ROSAMUND: Oh, I most certainly am. And I can afford to be still more serious than five thousand additional simoleons. I can be very serious indeed. DARREL: Let’s discuss particulars then, yeah?

ROSAMUND: Yes, let’s. Mister Howl and Ms. Charm, downstairs you will find a bar, a dance floor and some credit in your names. LOU: [to Gemma] Don’t worry, I got you. ROSAMUND: You will also find a bartender under strict instructions not to serve alcohol to any minors, and to blacklist anyone who provides alcohol to said minors. LOU: Curses, foiled again!

i found some dead skin and started obsessively picking at it and hurt real bad cuz i ended up going into live skin and I'm insane so I'm going to make this abt cod ghosts. (cracks nuckles but I don't do it right and have to pull my finger to make it crack)

i think hesh has ocd (just like me fr). he fixates on smth and absolutely loses it if it goes awry. him going after Rorke was certainly a choice that he made and I think its bcs he fixated on it and will jump at the chance to scratch that itch (murder). I saw a hc somewhere that he was a nail biter and now takes care of them alot which I agree w ! but I also think he replaced it w other obsessions like scratching, picking etc or even the act of taking care of his nails is his new compulsion.

and it gets like dangerous. alot of the time its fine elias is just like " wow ❤️ my son is so driven and cool and parents my other son bcs aye man I got shit to do" but his compulsions get him hurt through self harm. I have a compulsion when I hit myself in the thigh repeatedly and I think he does stuff like that. he has like a wound where he nicked himself shaving one time and its always open bcs he cannot ignore the urge to pick it or he will die.

Hesh regularly gives himself pedicures as apart of the OCD+picking habit and has IMMACULATE hands which really pisses some people off because they can't make "Soft hands" jokes about the guy who regularly dips his toes into NML with no backup but his doggie and baby bro.

I'd imagine it's like on his chin somewhere and people think he's just scratching his face a lot (Dog behavior; Werewolf allegations.) but nah the mutton chops just hide the scab. (Logan regularly forces him to put a band-aid on it and Hesh picks it off.)

I think the website you used for IBWR was called Hiveworks but im not to sure how it works...

this is all from my perspective though, some stuff may not work for you, but hey - no knowledge is bad knowledge.

Hiveworks is a... Publisher! of sorts! Kind of. They're not like webtoons or Tapas when it comes to comic hosting, you have to be invited to Hiveworks (like me!) or apply to join them! :) They also have Hivemill which is a place where they sell merch for the comics. Either Hiveworks helped making the merch, or the artists themselves made the stuff and Hiveworks helps distribute it (I THINK, don't quote me on that. I haven't made or sold merch with them before. But it's what I understand. They have explained it to me, I'm just kinda dumb).

However! Comic control, of which Hiveworks uses to make the websites are free for anyone to use! :) So if you want your own website, go ahead and make one!

I'd still recommend you buy the URL you'll use in that case though. I pay a yearly fee on GoDaddy.com for mine. It's affordable and honestly worth it as a precaution, lest a dirtbag buy it just to ruin my day and give me distress for a year(s).

But my recommendation is that you mirror your comic in as many places as possible.

Now, my website has ads on it, so if you switch off ad-block when visiting IBWR, I can get ad rev from it! :D (thanks to Hiveworks, that is, they added the ad stuff on there. Idk how it works but it's nice passive income that I really need. It pays for my food).

That means I will prioritize the website over the secondary mirrored places. So that's the place I always link to first. So if people REALLY want to get the next page sooner, they can always check there first.

However, mirroring is great because it is very difficult to get people to read the story you've put so much love into. I want people to enjoy my story as much as I do. The more places you update it to, the more people will discover you.

I've noticed that people like to follow the artist/author on social media for update announcements and general news of what's going on for the comic - so know where your presence on socmed is at! If it's instagram, well, then prioritize instagram but don't forget bluesky or tumblr too! Just know where you're at.

BUT!! And I cannot stress (lol) this enough - but don't stress (lol) about it. which is easier said than done.

It can feel super overwhelming to constantly make each update of a page feel like a check list of "okay, posted announcement to insta, tumblr, twitter, I have scheduled a mirrored post to comicfury and tumblr, I have added all the links in the author section, uuuh, I gotta add a cropped panel sneak-peak in each and I gotta--" that shit gets tiring quick. Work smart not hard. I copy paste from a document and I print-screen crop a panel from my comic on my phone kind of flimsily and that works. Nobody cares if it's fancy. It's just extra energy on my part that I can't be arsed to worry about.

Like Webtoons require that you to always have a preview icon for each update. That's as complicated as I'm willing to get tbh. If it requires more than that from me I'm gonna hate it. But that's just me.

you want to be able to do something consistently.

Which brings me to..

MANAGEMENT

bro, it's a job. It takes work. Work is not always fun, but you gotta show up for it. you're the only worker here. If you don't show up, it doesn't get done.

And people are not going to read it until there's at least pages enough for them to catch on to a story. If you're here for recognition right away, stop. You'll hurt yourself. I know we live in a time of quick-positive feedback through likes and shares, etc. But that's just not reality most of the time when starting up.

So, you got to want to tell the story more than whatever you are expecting to get out of this.

Which will also help you with managing your feelings if your reader count grows or declines. Just remind yourself of why you even want to tell your stories. It's easier said than done, but I found it to be a helpful philosophy to try stick by.

Everything I gain from sharing my story is just a plus. Not the reason.

What I did, also, was to just post whenever I finished a page. I had no readers, only commitment to myself and the comic. That's it. You'll find it easier if you don't force yourself at first, at least I did. And then as you gain your own momentum and work-pace, you'll be able to be like "Oh yeah, sunday works for me. I'll aim for that." Aim for it, don't promise. But show up. You're not a machine, shit happens, life comes in. If you have a deadline that makes you feel guilty, you might start avoiding it etc. So maybe just cut yourself some slack and go "whenever I'm done with a page is a good day."

You are your own boss. You make your own rules.

Yes, there is an algorithm to it all - when's the best time to post, getting new readers through memes or what have you. You might discover that the best way for you to get readers is to make funny videoclips on instagram or tiktok - there is no wrong way.

However, it shouldn't feel like too much of a chore. You should enjoy it at least a little bit. Like, maybe you kinda like making goofy vids of your comic, or draw memes, whatever, right? But you should enjoy some of it. If you hate making vids, but you know it is a good pond to fish in.. well, like... I'm sorry but you're gonna get frustrated with it.

DRAWING COMICS

dawg I wish I had any better tips than... Fuck it, poke at it however you want.

I usually have ten pages flimsily sketched out with speech-dialogues so I know what's gonna happen in the next pages, so I can pace the scene somewhat.

I say that, like I'm some kinda professional, but I jump between pages. Whichever page seems a little more fun. Sometimes I stare myself blind on a page and gotta draw on something else.

Some pages are super well sketched, others are just bald stickfigures making faces at other bald stickfigures.

BACKGROUNDS

Get references. Either look at photographs or take the yourself. Start getting into looking at buildings in real life. I, myself, spend quite a lot of time looking at different windows and brick buildings going "Dang, so that's a widow huh? Architects sure just make windows like BAM ENJOY THIS ONE huh?"

Basically, start appreciating the world around you. There's art everywhere. Someone has put thought - however big or small - into that sidewalk.

Is it a shitty sidewalk? Well, that's really grounding isn't it? Someone, at some point, looked at this space, sighed and thought "fuck man I just wanna go home. That's good enough." and that really grounds you visually into that this world is a place where people have been before you.

Sometimes I get lazy and at the same time in a mood to challenge my memory, and I'll start inventing what the heck a building or street looks like. And you can probably easily tell in a page when I, too, am going "fuck man I just wanna get this page done with, that's good enough."

AND THAT'S FINE!!!

Not everything have to be an awestriking master page! Damn, the pressure I'd be under if that's the only thing I had to produce asdfghj! if anything, great pages look better because some pages are shite.

It's okay.

It doesn't have to be perfect every time. Learn what didn't work, what worked. Post it. Move on. You can't sit on this forever or the story will never be told. Just post it, it's fine.

THERE IS NO PERFECT TIME TO POST YOUR STORY.

Post it in chunks or page by page. It doesn't really matter - new readers are going to read it all in one sitting anyway.

Why I don’t: I don’t not like him, in any way honestly. I doubt we’d get along irl but as a character? I love him don’t change a thing.

Favorite episode (scene if movie): I genuinely cannot pick. Season one had a lot of good ones. Maybe, if I absolutely had to pick, gun to my head, it’d be one of the ones where he’s looping through time trying to fix things, where he realises he’s a huge fucking dork.

Favorite season/movie: Season 6 was a masterpiece, but I am also extremely fucking sad about the state he was in after being relocated and isolated :(

Some thoughts as my brain is not in a good place right now but it is creative under stress (all about characters).

I think the main problem I see with people criticizing 'The Syndicate' is that they cannot see it anything other than anarchy. They can't be extremist, they can't be hurt, they can't be anything other than anarchist and that bothers me very much. They are people who came together for one common goal. "Techno is working on his ways he deals with things, Phil is allowed to feel bad for L'manberg and pretty it up, Ranboo is allowed to be in Snowchester and be married to Tubbo and Niki is allowed to hate Wilbur and sympathize with other characters" and "they are all anarchists" should exist and are existing in the same plane so what the hell is wrong with the people who criticize. Dude you just have some fucked up idea of being an anarchist.

Why would people think Techno will harm Michael. I get all the anxiety from Tubbo, Ranboo an Phil's part but why would he do that? Techno is very clear about his ideals and he is one of the only few people who will talk. If Techno ever finds about Michael he will probably have a talk with Ranboo and sort it out. I dont think Techno interferes in any of the other characters personal life. He is not the one to make 'other's business is my business'. He runs on mutual respect and sees Tubbo in a good light too. Even if he denies it Ranboo has a special place in Techno's life. Michael has done nothing to Techno ever so i dont get it D:

You cannot say Philza is a bad father. Dude that character radiates care everywhere he goes. He reconciled with former L'manberg people. He blew up NLM but you gotta give him credit that he did/does care for people. (I am a firm believer that L'manberg getting blown up is a good thing). Phil being a neglectful father? Fuck you. How about Wilbur being high up is arse? Hmm hmm get me? He is cleaning up the L'manhole. Sometimes you just gotta consider that the child is a bit messed up you know.

Well regarding 'minor terrorism' by Technoblade. You guys attack him cuz he openly named it minor terrorism. How many times people have just griefed/ spolied stuff just for fun or leverage? Why only attack him?

I saw this argument on Youtube under Tommy's vod that 'he is fresh out of Exile and getting thrown into a war. He hasnt healed yet.' I am not found of exile and no one should go through similar stuff like that and I hated Dream did that to him but sure 'Techno was healed from his near execution'.

I am not sure how much this all made sense but these are my view points and I am happy to be corrected anytime. I would love to hear 'sensible' arguments. I'm just rambling :D

Bleach Sword Beasts Arc Recap: Episode 265

Good news, I have made it to the last episode of the interminable Sword Beasts Arc! Tune into this very important episode where, for like 3 seconds, Renji was the most powerful person in Soul Society!

After a quick cold open with all the zanpakutou spirits fighting some big bull guy I cannot be arsed to care about, we cut to Kazeshini fighting the lamest Sword Beast I have ever seen. He looks like Spider-Man lost his powers and decided to take up throwing cleavers instead. Behold:

His pants have cargo pockets. Anyway, before Kazeshini can actually defeat him, he spontaneously combusts. Hisagi is like “Well done, bro, you’re getting good at this!” and it’s like... Hisagi, you know your sword does not set things on fire, right? You do know what your sword does?

Anyway, Renji and Zabimaru show up, with Saru and Hebi arguing over which one of them is fatter again (does Renji have an eating disorder??? tbh this would be in character between his youthful food insecurity and all the gaslighting at Urahara Shoten polynya stop it, he does not!!!). Anyway, Renji and Shuuhei have a very manly conversation and walk off to do manly things, and Kazeshini confides in Zabimaru about the exploding Sword Beast.

Later on that night, Kazeshini and Zabimaru go to meet up with Hozukimaru and Ruri'iro Kujaku who are drinking together and complaining about the moon. I love these zanpakutou friendships so much, this is such a nice journey for everyone. Anyway, it seems that, after the loss of their masters, Sword Beasts eventually run out of reiatsu and go poof, except that there’s a Sword Beast running around accelerating this process by sucking them dry. I am kinda charmed by the zanpakutou treating this as their business and trying to take care of it without bothering their masters, even though this is foolishness.

Who cares about the plot, let’s talk about Girls’ Night Out!!

There is a touching moment where Nanao gives Katen Kyōkotsu a skewer, which distracted me for the rest of the scene because she’s wearing a mask how is she going to eat it?? (She picks it up, contemplates it, the scene cuts away. Well played, Bleach #265)

Oh, this is what it cut away to:

Wow. I am pretty sure I am already on the record as being strongly against shinigami gettin’ it on with their own zanpakutou, but, uh, this definitely happened, RIP to me.

Anyway, it ends the way you might expect:

Their zanpakutou excuse themselves saying the want to enjoy the night air together and it’s very clear that everyone is getting sentimental because they know they have to go back in their swords soon. We get a flash cut through the more serious zanpakutou contemplating their remaining corporeal existance-- Senbonzakura meditating in the dark, like you do, Sode no Shirayuki contemplating the moon, Hyourinmaru also contemplating the moon, they were really running low on ideas here... Suzumibachi! Oh, look, Suzumibachi exists! Anyway, she shows up to let Hyourinmaru know that Sadness Time is over, it’s time for fights, so let’s go!

We cut to the bad guy, Kirikaze chasing around some Sword Beasts. You can tell they were really scraping the bottom of the barrel on Sword Beast designs, it was definitely time to end this arc, check this guy out:

All the zanpakutou spirits show up to kick Kirikaze’s ass. It’s not clear how they know him, but it’s obvious that they do, which is kinda cool to me, I like the idea that zanpakutou have some knowledge of each other, even in their non-manifested state. It actually makes 0 sense whatsoever that the combined zanpakutou spirits of all the captains and lieutenants aren’t able to take out one feral dude, but maybe the zanpakutou spirits are under a form of gentai kaijou, where they are so bonded with their shinigami that they actually can’t access 100% of their power without them, wow, that would actually make this arc make slightly more sense, it can’t possibly be true.

Anyway, I am ruining a perfectly good fight scene. It’s not actually, these people are incompetent. Senbonzakura friendly-fires Hozukimaru just like he always does. Wabisuke gloats for so long over an opening that he gets backhanded without accomplishing anything. The only useful person in this fight is actually... Ruri'iro Kujaku? Yeah, that tracks.

This only works for about 3 seconds-- Kirikaze powers up and blows everyone away and then they stand around panting even though half of them haven’t actually done anything. I guess maybe they’re also weak because they are at the limits of their manifestation and need to go back into their swords soon? I don’t know! This episode explains none of this, I am just spitballin’ here!

It’s looking pretty dire and then the lieutenants show up!! Oh, this is so precious! Renji flashsteps in just in time to haul Zabimaru away from certain death! Kira casts a kidou, something none of the zanpakutou seem capable of doing! It’s super effective! The other shinigami just... give moral support, because like I said, that kidou was literally super effective.

Renji goes full-soccer coach and yells at everyone about not depending on their friends. I guess maybe it gave too big a morale bonus to everyone, because Kirikaze busts out of his kidou.

The zanpakutou spirits are running on empty at this point, so the ones whose soul reapers bothered to show up go back into their swords. They actually do a neat little thing where, like, when Rukia calls out her attack, they have Sode no Shirayuki’s voice superimposed over hers for the “dance” but then only Rukia’s for the “Sode no Shirayuki”. They do this for everyone, and it’s a nice touch. Classy.

I hope you’re sitting down for what happens next though: all the zanpakutou whose masters’ voice actors weren’t available for this episode (which includes seven captains and two other people with bankai, not counting Renji himself) deadass go into Renji. I guess it’s because he’s the only one with bankai? Maybe it’s because he’s tall and therefore has the most room? Actually, here’s the real reason: Shuuhei, Izuru, Momo, Rukia, Nanao or even Rangiku might hesitate while trying to figure out what to do with all that power, but Renji’s one braincell knew instantly what to do: make the most bitchin’ Hikotsu Taihou of all time.

For once, it actually worked!!! Wow! Extremely satisfying!

After this, they have this weird, introspective part with some avant garde camera work that makes it look like they’re putting on a production of Rent or something. Words cannot express how much I loved, so instead of trying to describe it, I’m going to abuse the number of pictures Tumblr lets you put in a post and make you look at all of it.

That’s right, my friend. It finally is.

 Dear Diary

After yesterdays events I felt like today was super mundane, but it was nice… To wrap up what happened yesterday, Dean and Harry  came to pick me up from the library, Charlotte was long gone by this pint her mum had come to pick her up an hour or two before I’d called Harry , but we’d made plans for her to come over to the flat on Friday. I’m going to cook us dinner, we’re going to do some studying then maybe watch a movie… 

Talking to Charlotte had really changed my outlook on life, I won’t pretend I’m going to be the mother Theresa right away, but I really want to change the way I look at things. If someone like Charlotte can go through so much, and come out the other side still smiling then why can’t I? 

I’m going to try at least,

Dinner went… Okay,

                      Eight hours ago

“So who is this chick?” Dean quizzed me as we walked through the supermarket looking for all the ingredients we needed to make nachos. “You’ve never mentioned her before,” 

“Yes I did,” 

“No, you didn’t,” He countered. 

“Yes. I. Did,”

“No. You. Did. Not,” Dean and I stood toe to toe, his jaw clenched and a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. 

“Harry,” I called not taking my eyes off Dean, “A ruling here.” 

“She did mention her,” Harry called tiredly. He’d been shopping with Dean and I for the last twenty minutes and this was the third argument we’d gotten into… None of them meant anything but they were annoying Harry none-the-less. “Sorry mate,” 

“Fine.” Dean’s eyes thinned into slits. “You win this one Y/L/N,” He turned to Harry  and threw a soft punch into his bicep, “Thanks for having my back bro…” 

“Hey, don’t punch him,” I punched Dean in the arm, He grabbed it his mouth opening in a pain-filled hiss. 

“Ouch,” He cried. “Why’d you do that…” 

“Well….” I stuttered lamely looking for an excuse, “Don’t punch people,” 

“But you punched me,” 

“It was a lesson,” 

“Enough now children,” Harry taunted stepping between us. “Let’s just finish the shopping and we can get home,” 

“Fine, you win this one Y/N,” Dean pulled up the list, 

“That’d be the second one I’ve won then Dean,” I smirked innocently. 

“Y/N,” Harry groaned, his hand flying to his forehead. 

“Y/N, I swear to -,” 

“Dean, please, just let it go.” Harry cried his hand still against his forehead. 

“Fine.” He huffed. "I’ll go grab the salsa, you two get the meat and vegetables.” He threw the list back into the basket and walked off. Harry  and I stood watching him for a second, 

“He’s a child,” I muttered, 

“You’re both children,” Harry quipped. “Is George coming over tonight?” Harry  inquired as we began to walk again, 

“No, just Charlotte,” I lent across him to pick up a white onion, “I haven’t seen George since the other night,” 

“You two have a fight?” I looked up at Harry as he fiddled with some garlic bulbs. 

“No,” 

“You two are just normally together,” I shrugged my shoulders, 

“I dunno what you want me to say?” I looked away from Harry. 

“Did something happen between you?” 

Now Y/N, think carefully is this a good time to divulge to Harry that you kissed George? 

“Well…” I trailed off, eyes squinting as I racked my brain for the best way to tell Harry, 

“Well, what?” 

“George and I may have … kissed,” I moved away from him walked down the end to grab some carrots. “Three times,” 

“Wow.” 

“Wow?” 

“I mean congratulations,” Harry sighed running a hand through his hair, “That’s great, exactly what you wanted isn’t it?” He walked towards me, “I mean you have feelings for him,” 

“Still so obvious?” Harry’s lips broke into a breathy smile. 

“You’re getting better at hiding it,” He shrugged his shoulders, “But you still give him the look,”

“And is it still as pathetic as ever?”

“Nothing you ever do will be pathetic Y/N, when are you going to accept that?” 

“I’m an idiot,”

“Oh?” 

“I told him I didn’t want anything more,” 

“Y/N,”

“Only because he said it was ‘just a kiss’ and that ‘friends kiss all the time,’… twice!” I cried. “God I’m so stupid,” 

“He said that?” Harry  questioned, “Like he really said that?” I nodded my head, “What a dick move,”

“I get why,” I walked away from Harry over to the other side of the displays, “I’m not like the girls he chases… I’m not blonde, skinny…. You know the spiel by now,”

“Y/N, you have got to have the thickest head ever,”

“Harry !”

“I mean it, who cares if you're not blonde, or you aren’t super thin… you’re a great person,” Harry leant on the display crossing his hands, “Remember when I told you that you were nothing like those girls? That you were smart, funny and you’re beautiful without even trying?” I nodded my head, “I meant it… MacKay is an idiot for saying that shit too you, and one day it’s going to bite him in the arse.” Harry shook his head, “You want to know what happened between Oliver and me?” 

“If you want to share it,”

“Oliver made a comment about -,”

“Got the salsa,” Dean cried as he rounded the corner, “And you two have not moved.” He looked between Harry and I, “I thought you wanted to get out of here as soon as possible, and yet here you are yapping away,” He shook his head, tone dripping with false disappointment. 

“Shut up Dean,” I groaned, “C’mon, let’s go,” 

Stupid Dean, he was just about to tell me. 

“Yes! Let’s go meet Charlotte,” Dean cried sarcastically pulling me under his arm, “And cannot wait to eat more of your food Y/N,” I gasped and pushed him away, 

“Hey!” I cried, “I’m a good cook,” 

“No, you’re not. You’re horrible.” 

“Am not,” 

“Are too,” 

“Harry ?”

“He’s right Y/N, you’re not the best cook…” Harry  trailed off as Dean threw his hands up victoriously, 

“Two to One,” He held up two fingers, dropping one quickly. “I’m catching you,” 

“You two ate my soup last week!”

“Toilet,” Dean shrugged, 

“What about the stir-fry dinner I left for you and the guys last when you were watching the football?” 

“Jordan and Henry may have thrown it off the balcony,” Harry  meekly replied, 

“But…” 

“Tonight should be fine though, how can you mess up nachos?” Dean chuckled. 

                                Six hours ago

“Nachos…” Harry mumbled as he pulled up one of the burnt corn-chips. “Look great,” 

“What’s that smell?” Charlotte asked from her spot across from me, “Is something burning?” 

“Something is burnt,” Dean chuckled, “How do you like your nachos Charlotte? Crispy? Or burnt?”

“Dean,” 

“Maybe we should just order pizza?” I sighed slouching in my chair. Somehow I’d let Dean distract me as I put the dish of nachos in the over to melt the cheese and the next thing I knew the flat was filled with smoke, “If Dean didn’t distract me none of this would have happened!” 

“Not my fault I’m so dashingly distracting,” 

“Shut up Dean,” I groaned. 

“Are you though?” Charlotte teased, “I mean, Y/N told me about Harry, but you were never mentioned,” 

“Oh,” Dean turned to look at me, “Is that so?”

“Mhhm,” Charlotte hummed, her hand reaching down to pat Bronte’s head, “All about his dreamy eyes, and how cute he looks in the morning,” 

“Charlotte!” I protested my head falling into my hands, “It wasn’t like that!” 

“Oh yeah?” Harry  laughed this time, “Then what was it like?” 

“I hate you all!” 

“I dunno, it seems like you find Harry to be … what was the word she used Charlotte,” I could hear the smirk in Dean’s voice, 

“I believe it was ‘adorable with a large dash of sexy,’… am I right Y/N,” 

“Oh my god,” I groaned banging my head gently on the table, “Kill me,” 

“But, if we killed you, you wouldn’t get to look at this adorable face,” Harry  taunted from his seat beside me, 

“I’m going to murder you, Harry,” 

“But then you wouldn’t see my beautiful face again,” 

                           Five hours ago

“More wine?” I asked getting up from the couch as the intro for the big bang theory started up again, 

“None for me… mum will kill me if I walk down hammered,” Charlotte replied turning back to her conversation with Dean. 

“Harry ?” 

“Yes, please,” He passed his glass over to me as I passed him, I glanced at the books Charlotte and I had pulled out with the intent to study only to have our attention dragged to Dean and Harry’s lively conversations about the big bang theory. Looking back at Charlotte and seeing how happily she and Dean were I couldn’t break them apart and ask her to study with me. “I’ll help you later tonight,” Harry  spoke lowly as he followed me into the kitchen, 

“Thanks,” I jumped up onto the bench and began picking at the cold, burnt nachos. “They’re getting along,” 

“Like a house on fire,” He agreed pulling the bottle towards us, “I never was a fan of red wine,” 

“Until,”

“Until I realised buying a shitty bottle of wine was cheaper than vodka,” He flashed me a toothy smile. “Then I became a big fan of red wine,” 

“I always thought it made me look sophisticated, drinking it.” 

“But do you feel sophisticated,” I reached out and grabbed the bottle from him, 

“Anytime we aren’t drinking from the bottle,” 

“So not a lot then?” He grinned. 

“Not a lot,” I confirmed with a giggle of my own. 

“About what George said to you,” 

“Can’t we just forget it, Harry?” 

“No, I want you to know that he’s a nitwit,” I passed the bottle over to Harry with a roll of my eyes. “I’m being serious,” 

“Harry … let’s just forget this. From this point on, I am swearing off guys. I’m going to go to class, hang out with Charlotte and you, and Blake and Henry, and study… that’s it… This George thing has been enough to send me mental,”

Another JoJo Mall Fanfic™ -- Hooters (Part 1)

Beware of spoilers! Specifically Part 5/Vento Aureo spoilers!

Risotto  drove  up  to  the  Hooters  side  of  the  mall  and  parked  his  car  in  the  handicapped  spot.

'It's  early  in  the  morning,  and  we're  only  gonna  take  about  30  minutes  to  do  the  interview..'

Melone  stepped  out  of  the  car  as  his  Capo  pondered  the  morality  of  the  situation.  He  fluffed  his  hair,  straightened  his  white  blouse,  made  a  few  faces  in  the  car's  window,  and  with  that  decided  he  was  ready.  He  asked  Risotto  if  he  was  also  ready  to  go,  but  the  Capo  seemed  to  be  lost  in  a  long  chain  of  possible  scenarios.  What  if  his  teammates  found  out?  Would  they  belittle  him?  Would  they  feel  guilty  because  of  it?  He  would  hate  it  to  see  the  guilt  on  their  faces.  Or  worse  yet,  what  if  the  Boss  had  found  out?  What  if  his  snitch  of  an  underling  Doppio  found  out  and  ratted  on  him?  He'd  have  his  head  on  the  Boss's  wall  for  sure,  another  example  of  what  not  to do  and  a  symbol  of  endless  shame  to  La  Squadra  di  Esecuzione.  God,  that  was  an  even  worse  thought  than  the  first  one.  

He  breathed  in, 'Fuck it,'  and  jumped  out  of  the  car  on  his  exhale,  startling  Melone.

"Jesus  fuck! Oh, sorry,  Capo."  

"It's  fine."

And  with  that,  they  strode  gallantly  across  the  parking  lot  to  their  (hopefully)  new  place  of  business.  Who  cared  if  the  Boss  wanted  their  heads  on  a  platter,  anyway?

'Remember,  be  confident.'

Risotto  misjudged  his  strength  and  ended  up  slamming  the  door  into  the  side  of  the  wall.  He  also  misjudged  the  volume  of  his  voice,  accidentally  shouting.

"HELLO!  I  AM  RISOTTO  NERO,  I  CALLED  ABOUT  THE  JOB  A  FEW  DAYS  AGO.  THANK  YOU  FOR  INVITING  ME  TODAY."

At  first,  the  two  Joestars  jumped  in  terror,  but  after  hearing  the  occasional  voicecracks  in  his  speech,  they  giggled  politely  and  invited  him  to  sit  down.  Risotto's  eyes  widened  in  embarrassment  and  he  quietly  sat  down.  Melone  followed  suit.  

"So,  Mr.  Nero  and  Mister...?"  Jonathan  quizzically  looked  at  Melone,  who  smiled.

'Just  Melone is  fine,  sir."  

"Okay,  Mr.  Melone!  Um,  shall  we  get  started  with  the  interview?"

He  looked  over  to  his  brother,  who  was  unabashedly  staring  up  at  the  giant  in  front  of  him.  Even  when  sitting,  he  still  towered  over  the  Joestars.  Even  though  he  was  thinking  the  same  as  Dio,  Jonathan  was  much  more  discreet  in  his  musings,  meaning  that  he  decided  to  ignore  the  elephant  in  the  room.

'I  didn't  think  anyone  could  get  any  bigger  than  the  Joestars.'

"SO,"  JoJo  declared  rather  loudly,  snapping  Dio  out  of  his  trance,  "Why would  you  like  to  work  for  our  mall,  gentlemen?"  

"Well,  our  Boss  decided  to  cut  some  of  our  pay  during  these  last  few  months,  and  since  we  cannot  really  afford  much  of  our  necessities  we  decided  to  get  a  second  job  to  compensate  for  our  lack  of  pay." Risotto  admitted.  Melone  nodded  in  agreement.

That  seemed  good  enough  for  Jonathan.

"Okay!  Next  question-"

"Wait."  Hissed  Dio,  "Why  do  you  want  to  work  for  US  specifically?"  His  brother  sighed.

'Can't  Dio  go  through  one  day  without  flattery?'

Melone  quickly  stepped  in,  "Because  you  two  gentlemen  sounded  quite  respectful  and  professional  over  the  phone,  and  from  my  experience,  that's  one  of  the  signs  of  a  great  boss,  and  an  extraordinary  businessman!  And  how  could  we  not  take  the  opportunity  to  work  with  such  amazing  managers?"

Risotto  smirked. 'Thank  God  he's  so  good  at  kissing  ass.'

Dio  seemed  satisfied  with  that  answer,  though  he  wasn't  letting  him  off  of  the  hook  just  yet.  Jonathan  anxiously  continued,  "Oh,  why  thank  you! Now,  shall we  move  on-"

"Tell  me,  Mr.  Melone,  is  kissing  arse  one  of  your  listed  skills?"  He  sneered.

"DIO!"

"Because  it  should  be.  You're  smart,  unlike  this  twit  here,"  he  pointed  to  his  brother. "Flattery  will  get  you  everywhere."

Melone  sheepishly  smiled  at  him,  regaining  his  composure.  At  least  the  worst  was  over.

"May  I  speak  now?"  Jonathan  looked  over  at  Dio.

"You  may."

"Right...So,  I  just  have  one  more  question  for  you  two!"

"JoJo,  don't  make  it  that  easy-"

"Quiet!  They  seem  like  wonderful  young  men,  I'm  sure  they'll  be  great!  Now,  last  question...What  are  your  schedules?  So  that  we  may  plan  accordingly!"

Dio  groaned  loudly,  his  brother  was  making  this  way  too  easy  for  them.  But  whatever,  they  needed  employees,  and  if  they  stepped  out  of  line  they  could  always  fire  them  without  remorse.  Well,  he  could.  Jonathan,  he  wasn't  so  sure  he was  capable  of  that.

"Great!  We'll  meet  you  here  on  March  thirteenth!  That's  the  grand  opening  of  the  mall,  so  we  might  need  you  here  a  bit  earlier.  Is  that  okay?"

"Yes,  that  works  perfectly.  Thank  you  so  much  for  this  opportunity,  sirs,"  said  Risotto.

"Thank  you  so  much  for  your  time!  Enjoy  the  rest  of  your  day,  sirs!"  Melone  added.

"Likewise,  Mr.  Melone!  Oh,  and  one  more  thing."  

"Yes?"

Diavolo  grimaced  as  yet  another  bill  was  presented  to  him.  He  was  a  powerful  stand  user,  yes,  and  an  equally  powerful  mafioso,  yet  not  even  he  was  safe  from  the  inevitability  of  paying  bills.  It  further  depressed  him  knowing  that  his  goons  out  there  weren't  bringing  in  enough  money  as  they  used  to,  and  what  made  it  worse  was  the  prediction  that  most  of  the  population  would  soon  stop  buying  altogether,  courtesy  of  those  damned  school  seminars.

'Goddamnit..'

He  punched  a  hole  in  the  wall,  allowing  him  to  cool  off  before  thinking  of  a  Plan  B.  He  could  always  take  up  a  second  job,  but  as  what?  He  certainly  couldn't  join  a  workforce  that  required background  checks,  he  couldn't  start  a  puppet  company  because  the  officials  would  eventually  find  out  during  inspections,  so  needless  to  say,  his  options  were  slim  to  none.

"Goddamnit.."  He  growled.  Swiveling  around  in  his  chair,  he  peered  outside  the  window  out  at  the  street.  Nothing  seemed  to  be  unusual,  just  the  same  boring  street  lights  and  payphones.

'Yes,  that's  it.  Just  focus  on  something  else  for  a  bit.'

He  then  noticed  that  there  was  a  building  painted  differently  than  the  others, 'Red's  a  nice  colour.'  And  the  streetlight  to  his  right  had  a  chunk  taken  out  of  it, 'I  wonder  how  that  happened.'  And  just  below  that  missing  chunk  was  a  pale  yellow  paper  advertising  a  new  mall -- wait,  a  new  mall?  He  pressed  his  face  against  the  window  to  get  a  closer  look.

"Joestar  Bros.  Mall.  Help  wanted.  Call  927..."

He  couldn't  make  out  the  rest  of  the  paper,  the  characters  were  too  low  for  him  to  see.  There  was  no  other  choice,  he  had  to  get  out  of  the  house.  Reluctantly,  he  trudged  out  of  the  door  and  into  the  street,  hastily  snatching  the  paper  and  stuffing  it  into  his  pocket.  Once  inside  the  confines  of  his  office  again,  he  scanned  the  advertisement.

"Call  927-867-5309..."  

He  punched  the  wall  again,  there's  no  other  option  right  now!  He  HAS  to  do  this,  who  knows  when  he'll  get  another  chance?  And  besides,  he  can  always  just  get  rid  of  the  owners  if  they  start  getting  too  nosy.  But  what  if  they're  notable  people?  

"FUCK!"  He  screamed,  kicking  his  chair  across  the  room.  He  heaved  heavily,  trying  in  vain  to  calm  down.

·         A night in for you two is like a date. It’s basically all he can manage.

·         He doesn’t really like to leave the Temple unless he has to. He hates interacting with new people, large crowds and prefers peace and quiet to loud and crowded places. So anywhere like the City for date night is not happening. He would try for you he really would. But it makes him uncomfortable. That’s why you tend to stay in.

·         He’d cook you something. He’s not the best but he does try. Before you two settle down and cuddle up on the couch.

·         He’s such an awkward cuddlier at first, like he has no idea what to do with his hands, or where to put them at first.

·         He’ll also run you a hot bath, pour you some wine and will literally let you talk about anything you want. It could be trashy work talk or about something he has no idea about; he’ll listen intently and will actually ask questions.

·         He’ll let you choose whatever movie you wanted to watch, when you’re cuddled up on the couch. Pop Culture is not something he’s well versed in, he’s never seen Star Wars or anything like that. He lies to Johnny when he says he’s no time for fantasy or fiction, he’s a soft spot for it… he just doesn’t want to admit it.

·         He’s totally into Game of Thrones. He attempts to ignore the mass amounts of sex and focuses more on the politics and plot lines.

·         Please don’t point to the Night King and be like “It’s you, but with horns, and evil… and dead” he is not going to be happy bunny about that.

·         Will also just like to sway around to music when its just the two of you.

·         He doesn’t drink a lot. So, you can’t even make a joke about him cracking open a cold one with Hanzo now. He does however, have the occasional glass of wine with you, whilst you both read and cuddle up together on the sofa.

·         If you paint or sew or do anything creative, he’ll literally be so intrigued with watching you do it. Will attempt to learn the skill, because a mans never too old to learn.

·         He’ll love to lounge with you and hold you close. You’re amazing and he loves every moment he gets to spend with you. His Clan are important to him and he knows it’s hard to juggle a relationship and that. But he appreciates your patience and loyalty to him and therefore them, so he makes up for his lapses in spending time with you with these nights in.

·         He gets a night in? Fuck yes. First thing he does, jumps in the shower, doesn’t fucking matter if you’re in there, he’s joining you. He needs to shower ASAP and get in his jim-jams, because he’s had a hard day okay? He’s bullshitting you, he spent most of it making paper planes and throwing them. But still, he’s had a hard day of putting up with Kano.

·         By Jim Jams, he means a pair of joggers and no shirt. Will literally lounge there in nothing else. He needs to answer the door, hope whoever’s knocking doesn’t mind seeing his nipples. Because he sure as hell doesn’t care. It’s not a bad sight for you at all, no complaints from you, since he’ll throw you the t-shirt he should be wearing.

·         Obviously after his accident, he’ll take the t-shirt and try and keep well covered up. You can occasionally convince him to return to his, night time, nip nops out time. With the promise of a massage or you batting your eyelashes asking for his shirt.

·         He doesn’t cook, he burns things, but he doesn’t cook. It’s just easier if you order in, you get to choose because he’ll literally eat anything. Wherever you decide to order from he’ll find something to eat from it.

·         Doesn’t drink a lot but does enjoy having a drink or two when he can relax. Will go through the recordings to see what TV he has to catch up on. Will get insulted and be betrayed, if he finds you’ve watched one your shows without him. The lies and deceit are tearing this relationship apart.

·         Will let you sit on his lap all night or lounge on him. He’ll let you basically use him as a human chair. As long as you’re close to him he doesn’t care.

·         His phone is getting muted. He’ll take a cute selfie with you, send it, and warn people you have his full attention. Will literally look at it when getting a call, watch it ring, and then just do nothing. It’s his me and your time, and nothing is going to ruin that.

·         He’ll pick a movie out for you both to watch. It’ll either end in you two making out during it and having to go finish it off in the bedroom. Or he will fall asleep and end up trapping you in a vice like grip. He’s a lazy little shit at times.

·         You’ve made a drinking game out of Johnny’s movies, you always end up absolutely smashed and singing Piano man at the top of your lungs. It’s fucking beautiful. The apartment block is alive with the sound of music.

·         Playing video games drunk. You know he’d troll on WOW or something.

·         Mario Kart when drunks. He’s the type of dick to always choose Rainbow road, whilst you’re arse over tit drunk. Fucking disaster boy.

·         Sometimes, especially after his accident, he can’t sleep so you’ll stay awake talking about absolute shit. Like if aliens exist, if you had to, which cryptid you’d rather fuck. Just absolute shit till 3 in the morning.

·         Times like this, you end up making like box cake mix and eating it whilst in your underwear. Because height of classiness.

·         You’ll also piss his neighbours off playing loud, obnoxious music till stupid O’clock. And dancing around like a bunch of idiots.

·         After his accident, he’ll still do this, it makes him feel normal being a bit of a cunt again to be fair. He’s a bit smug, because his neighbours dare not complain, because he you know, got burnt to a crisp. And don’t wanna tell you guys to turn it down. You party on, you funky little crispy man.

Scorpion/ Hanzo Hasashi;

·         Like Sub, nights in tend to be your date nights and become a default for you two spending time together. Except, he’s a much better cook and a little bit less awkward. He’s got some experience with dating. Not a lot but still more than his icy bro.

·         He’ll definitely cook for you, whatever you want, he will make you. You end up doing it together and bonding over it.

·         You’ll also take a nice warm bath together, both of you unwinding together and letting all the stress melt away with the steam. He’s a sucker for a bath bomb too. Just no glitter. He cannot cope with the glitter in his hair.

·         Speaking of hair, he has to brush his religiously or it will get tangled. And he has to wear it up most of the time, because it’s actually pretty long.

·         Is down for just talking and listening to music. Or maybe playing chess, he sometimes lets you win, but not always.

·         He’ll also take moments like this, to try and teach you a bit of Japanese if you’re willing to learn. Or he’ll teach you more about his culture. It’s a chance for you two to be intimate and close, so what better moment to share personal things.

·         He’ll also talk to you about the future more than the past. You’ll plan your life together, like what you want to call your kids, first, middle and second middle names. Also, where you’d ideally live.

·         He smiles a lot on these nights in, because its just the two of you and he loves it. He loves you.

·         Candle light. And Candle light only. Sure, there’s actual lights but it just seems more intimate and cooler with candles. Fucking wax everywhere though.

·         He’s more receptive of pop culture than Sub. Just don’t put on reality TV, he cannot fucking cope with that. He would be a massive fan of Star Wars. And you fucking know it. He loves that Space Bullshit that makes his life seem simple.

·         You’ll also be able to lounge on him, he loves it when your head is on his lap and he can play with your hair.

·         Nights in are rare and not something he’s overly fond of. He loves to be outside, doing things and pretty active. But, he doesn’t mind the occasional night in with you. Gotta relax the old bones, you know.

·         He’s got a fair amount of stories and he’s ready to share them with you. Sexual, none-sexual it doesn’t fucking matter. He’ll tell you anything and everything you wanna know. He’s lived a full life and has seen some shit.

·         He’s partial to a hard drink, like strong sipping whisky. So he’ll love to sip that whilst watching you, do your thing. Whatever it is, whether it be painting, sewing, reading or hell even writing smut. I say this to validate myself.

·         He doesn’t read, he doesn’t have the patience or time. Instead, he’d be down for playing a game of cards. Doesn’t matter if its strip poker or just poker. He is down for it.

·         If he’s still slumming it with the Black Dragon, you’ll get to do a lot more on your nights in, in comparison to if he’s in Outworld. If you’re in Outworld, there’s a chance Ermac may just float into the room. It’s weird, just don’t even ask.

·         In his Black Dragon days, he’d be down for watching a film, A western obviously. Just so he can tell you how accurate/inaccurate it is. Or how nobody actually talks like that, whilst talking exactly like that.

·         Will let you play dress up with his clothes. He thinks it’s cute and loves how everything hangs off you yet is tight in all the right places. Spot on.

·         If you’re in Outworld, he’ll take this opportunity to teach you to shoot, how to use explosives and how to come up with a bad ass sass.

As a Chimera, he’s gained some lizard perks even in his human form. For starters, his saliva is toxic and has lizard eyes. He also can shed his skin to heal certain wounds. In Chimera form, he’s covered in nigh-indestructible scales.

Rott was an orphan who was adopted by a mage named Zagreus Berzinsky. The man wanted to create mythical beast of yore by forcefully fusing children with all kinds of beasts. Rott was one of those children.

Rott was able to escape with a few kids. Eventually, they made their way to the Clocktower. While he himself never went to school, he 100% made sure his “younger siblings” are enrolled in the Clocktower. It’s for their safety.

His wish for the Grail is for an antidote for Chimeratization. Oh! And to kill off Zagreus too!

She makes those storm-threads with a small buckler-sized spinning wheel she bring along. It’s her mystic code and she’s very protective of it.

Cabik Pentel

The current patriarch of the Pentel Clan, a family of esoteric assassins/mercenary group.

Hardly ever emotes so it’s hard to tell what he’s thinking.

But he’s usually very honest and won’t sugar nor exaggerate his words.

The only reason he’s can understand other people (to a degree) is because his brother is such a good person.

Yeah, Cabik loves his brother very much. And as such, he loves his brother’s twin daughters. He’s somewhat of a cool uncle to them.
