Gravity Falls Doodles
young Stans, mistery twins and some weird shit.
showing some more of my Gravity Falls sketches because I have a LOT of stuff about the twins
some of the drawings have doodles from some of my friends (i like it when they leave drawings in my notebook, I rarely erase them because I leave them as a souvenir)
I really love Relativity AU and the young Stan and Ford, so I usually draw them on my sketchbook :3c
Moving on from the drafts a bit, I'm watching the movie Labyrinth where David Bowie plays Jareth, the goblin king. I thought a lot about my Bill Cipher design and thought about taking elements and the story to create an AU, because since I'm going to take the reference costume, why not the story too?
Well, here's the first sketch of Bill!! (they/them)
I also saved some pictures of potential characters that I can draw inspiration from some pre-existing ones. I have plans for these pals....

In My Sister’s Place (Part 1 of 2)
Based on this request: Is it possible for me to ask for a Jareth fic? Reader is Sarah and Toby’s older sister (she was on a date that ended badly so that’s why she wasn’t the one babysitting that night) and insists on running the labyrinth in Sarah’s place. Jareth agrees. You can decide if reader chooses to leave or to stay once she’s done running the labyrinth.
Here you are, lovely! *Familiar Characters are NEVER mine!*
Fandom: Labyrinth
Warnings: Mentions of bad dates, poor step-parenting, and the beginning events of the movie. This is part 1 of 2 as it was getting too long for only one part!
Pairings/Characters: Eventual!Jareth the Goblin King x fem!reader, Sarah , Toby
You let out a sigh as you opened the front door. You could hear Merlin barking from the shed. Your stepmother must have made Sarah put him there. Heaven forbid anything make her gleaming-white floors dirty. Maybe that wasn't fair. You were in a bad mood after all. Your date had been awful.
From a young age, you'd dreamed of the kind of partner you'd read about in story books. The type of men that were in the plays your late mother had acted in. A hero. A knight. A king. A lover. Needless to say, your standards were probably too high but you were determined to get as close to that kind of man that you could. That lead to many uninteresting dates. Not that they were all "bad" people, per say. They just weren't what you were looking for.
You were pulled from your pity party by the sound of crying. Clearly, your dad and stepmother had made Sarah babysit again. Now you felt bad. Sarah shouldn't be responsible for an infant and if you hadn't gone out on what turned out to be a horrible date, she wouldn't be.
"Sarah? Everything okay?" you called out as you made your way up the stairs. Instead of an answer, you were greeted with more crying. You weren't surprised. Sarah was never any good at calming Toby. When you reached the landing, you found Sarah leaving the room Toby slept in. Before you could greet her, you heard her say, "I wish the goblins really would come and take you away." With that, she closed to the door to head back to her own room.
"Sarah!" you cried as Toby's own crying suddenly stopped. Sarah met your gaze for a moment in confusion. You both ran, nearly knocking each other down, and opened the door again only to find Toby missing from his crib. "Sarah, what have you done?" you whispered as lightening flashed once more. You approached the crib slowly. Definitely no Toby.
Before you could speak again, you heard what sounded like giggles and small feet running. Toby couldn't pull himself out of the crib so it wasn't him. And if it wasn't Toby, who was it? You jumped when you heard something smack against the window. Sarah's gaze kept darting around the room, but yours was drawn to the white owl at the window, trying desperately to get in.
Another strike of lightening and a gust of wind made you jump. The window practically flew open and the owl darted in, flying into both your and Sarah's faces. Sarah let out a scream as the owl backed off. The next thing you knew, standing where the owl had been, was…well, he looked like a man, but you knew he was something more. You knew exactly who he was, but it was Sarah who voiced your thoughts.
"You're him, aren't you? You're the Goblin King." You stared, drawn into the beauty that stood before you. You really needed to snap out of it. He had your brother and you needed to protect Toby and Sarah. "Please. I want my brother back. Where is he?"
"You know very well where he is," the Goblin King responded, his voice sending shivers through you. "Please, bring him back," you managed to say. His eyes shifted to you and he regarded you closely for a moment. "What's said is said."
"But I didn't mean it!" Sarah protested. "Oh you didn't?" he asked, taunting the younger girl. "Please, bring Toby back," you finally spoke up and that was when the Goblin King's eyes met yours. In an instant you saw a dozen emotions pass over his face. "There is only one way to bring the baby back. She," he stated, pointing to Sarah, "Must run my labyrinth."
"I'll do it," you declared, "If the stories are true, then surely you can bend the labyrinth to your will and make it difficult for me." He arched a brow before looking between you and Sarah for a moment. He moved behind you and pointed out. "Do you know what that is?" he asked. Before your eyes, the night outside your window changed into something else. Something that should have been terrifying but instead filled you with excitement.
"The castle beyond the Goblin City," you replied. The Goblin King nodded and you felt him move closer to you. "You have thirteen hours to best my labyrinth. Should you win, I will let you and the baby go. If you lose, Toby shall remain here, as a goblin." You nodded.
"Turn back, Y/N. Before it's too late," he told you as he backed away. "I can't," you whispered and glanced at him over your shoulder. He frowned a bit. "You cannot win." You smiled. "I have to try." His tall form began to fade away. "Wait! What is your name?" you asked, earning a surprised look from the king that quickly became a smirk. "Best my labyrinth and I may tell you." You huffed as he disappeared. With a sigh, you began the long trek to the castle.
(a/n: I hope you like it! Part 2 will be posted after the 2nd part of “Deduce Me”)

Hey,
Could you do a meta on the similarities between Labyrinth (1986) and the Shadow and Bone Trilogy? I read through that one scene (Alina and Darkling Interactions on your blog) between Alina and the Darkling after her and Mal get captured and Alina has to bargain for his life and they speak about fairness and the way the public views them both (Chapter 21 of the first book, I believe). I vaguely remembered this type of conversation from another piece of media, and saw in your tags that you attributed it to Labyrinth. Honestly wondering how much the movie influenced the trilogy, as I feel like Alina was supposed to be a Sarah Williams type of character but got her character development strangled by the narrative. Honestly wondering if this makes Mal Toby (romance aside), because Alina fought hard for this man and chose him over the ‘glamorous’ life she could have lived with the guy with powers (Darkling/Jareth). Genya might be Hoggle (works for the bad guy before becoming loyal to the protagonist). Maybe this is all a stretch?
Sorry if this is weirdly formatted. Thank you so much!
No anon! Why?!
I've watched Labyrinth once, and didn't enjoy it, so I was considering passing this on someone else, but since you've delved into details, I just HAD TO rewatch it, because I can't stand not knowing what's going on! So, I'll type as a watch and this will get veeeeeery long.
First of all- I hate those ugly-ass puppets and scenes. I find them creepy, and not in the good way. I totally don't get the ?US? obsession with them, and yes- I've hated Sesame Street, when it got imported here, and I've always hated Czech attempts at copying such production (Táhni, Františku z Fanfárie a Jůheláci taky, když už jsme u toho.).
I feel like Labyrinth is one of those movies, where fanon became widely-accepted canon, because I just can't see plenty of stuff allegedly present.
Alina and Sarah certainly have two things in common- they live in their own version of the world, and they're unbearably immature spoiled brats, even though you'd expect more from them their age considered. Yet somehow, Sarah's so unreasonably whiny, she almost makes me love Alina. Perhaps if we'd age her up a little and gave her potentially world-saving powers, she could've taken the S02show!psycho's place. They seem more alike than the book girl.
I mean... I don't like children, and I wouldn't be such a bitch to a ?one? year old...
The baby was a spoiled child and wanted everything for himself…
The baby can barely stand and certainly doesn't seem able to talk. It doesn't have mental capacity to imagine "everything", sure as hell not want it.
…and the young girl was practically a slave.
Sorry, but a scene earlier I saw her room. I watch her father respect her privacy. Her evil step mother being nothing but polite and non-threatening. I come from a loving family, and I've been keeping eye on my eight-years-younger brother since he was born. To an extent- yes, but they just want her to make sure he doesn't burn down the house on accident or something. He's even fed for fuck's sake! That's hardly slavery. And no, she doesn't get a pass as a moody teenager. This is a spoiled brat behaviour.
Sarah's straight up lying to make herself the victim. That's very Alina. Or more precisely- it's very Alina's new mommy Ol' Bags, but then again it's been said before Alina would grow into Baghra in time.
Goblin King, Goblin King, wherever you may be… …take this child of mine far away from me!
We have a better Czech ballad about children-stealing demon punishing short-tempered mother:
"Pojď si proň, ty Polednice, pojď, vem si ho, zlostníka!“ – A hle, tu kdos u světnice dvéře zlehka odmyká.
Kytice- Polednice (Karel Jaromír Erben)
“Come and get him, noon witch, come take him! I can bear no more!” And look, someone’s outside – a thumb is stealthily working the lock at the door.
A Bouquet: of Czech Folktales (transl. by Marcela Malek Sulak)
I went through it quickly, and the translation doesn't look bad, so it's available on libgen if you're interested.
Alina had her immortality and complementary powers, but what does Jareth see in Sarah is beyond me.
Sarah says she wants her brother back, but honestly- it sounds more like she doesn't want to get in trouble because of him. I don't know if it's only the acting, or if it's intentionally portrayed so, but she doesn't look like someone, who just realized they care about someone else.
It might be the whiny undertone in her voice. Irritating, if anything.
Yeah, a pissing puppet is exactly what I needed to see...
Genya is certainly prettier than Hoggle.
And doesn't piss in public.
The walls of the Labyrinth look like Terezín before reconstruction.
Sarah gets an advice and doesn't bother to delve into it. Another tiny similarity with Alina. Except Alina had her half-a-thought of doubt, and her advisor is a malevolent cunt with her own interests. The freaky worm seemed genuine in its desire to help.
Obligatory song and dancing. *shoot me, please*
The only way out of here is to try one of these doors. One of them leads to the castle at the centre of the labyrinth. And the other one leads to… …certain death.
Please, pick the death one...
"Helping hands"... every creep's wet dream...
Yeah, the evil hot accent isn't enough to make me like this villain. Fucking 80s...
Those depressive warning faces are probably the only thing I might even ~like~.
Okay, NOW he was hot.
Jareth and Sarah have the fairness conversation, when he shortens her time to punish her for her defiance. Aleksander and Alina's take place, when he wants her to face consequences of her own actions and accept responsibility. He's the wronged one there, because she didn't consider anyone or anything, when she chose to trust Baghra and ran off.
Sarah gets Hoggle to follow her by stealing his stuff. She gets the doorknockers to let her in by tricking the mumbling one into taking the unpleasant ring back into his mouth and doesn't even try to pull it out again, or knock without it attached. She's rather cruel in her thoughtlessness, isn't she?
Aleksander never shames Genya for wanting to be Alina's friend. He never blackmails her to help him. She's the one, who provokes his rightful wrath for no good reason.
I think Jareth might be what LB (sometimes) wants us to see in Aleksander. Except it's hardly what she shows by his actions, only what her characters describe.
Another difference- Aleksander doesn't only want Alina, he needs her for his plan to save his people. Jareth merely has the worst possible taste in women.
Okay, the dog making hoof-clopping noises also isn't the worst idea.
I'm kinda sorry Aleksander never tried to poison/drug Alina. That might be fun. Even the collaring couldn't really make her compliant, so he's technically nicer even in this aspect. I can see antis claiming he tried to woo her by showing her the splendor of Little Palace and giving her the centre role in Winter Fete, but the former wasn't different from Grisha in officer training, the later was the Crown's doing. He's even said to despise such events.
Sarah is a modern teenager. Alina's considered adult in her world. I got to the ball scene, where it's painfully obvious Sarah is a child in adult's clothes and make-up. I'm a bit surprised she was played by an actual teenager.
Alina starts off willing to do anything for Malyen, and ends up becoming just what he wants. Sarah starts off selfishly bullying a baby, only to turn 180° as soon as he's stolen, so excuse I'm not persuaded she means it. She doesn't manage it in next hour and half.
~ I have to face him alone. - But why? ~ Because that's the way it's done.
The logic is very Alina, but she never insists on facing the Darkling alone, except that one time she attempts murder/suicide.
Oh no, Aleksander would never wear something this teAsticleless
And no, I truly don't mean the colour.
I ask for so little. Just let me rule you… …and you can have everything that you want. Just fear me, love me, do as I say… and I will be your slave.
Again, that's no Aleksander at all. He didn't want to rule Alina, he wanted to rule alongside her. He only tried to force her once she endangered his plans for his country and people.
He never promised her everything she's want, because the only thing she seems to want is to be left alone to live in obscurity with no expectations placed on her.
He doesn't want her to fear him and she never does. He doesn't even crave people's fear. He uses it as a tool, when there's no better option.
He doesn't mind Alina defying him, finds it attractive actually, as long as it doesn't ruin- once again- his plans for Ravka and Grisha protection.
The slave line actually reminds me of much better representation of book!Aleksander- I Wanna Be Your Slave by Måneskin.
I was pretty sure I've seen Cinema Therapy episode on Labyrinth I deeply agreed with, but can't find it, so... :(

i wish the goblin king would take you away
lil ficlet of young maddie and baby buck and jareth the goblin king. un edited. might add more to it later.
She hadn’t meant to, was the thing.
Or she had, but not in a real way. She was angry and frustrated and he kept crying and she knew, she did know, that it wasn’t his fault that Daniel had died. But Daniel had still died.
And he wouldn’t stop crying.
And she was trying, she was, she’d fed him and changed him and he was still crying.
So she’d said it, because she was angry and frustrated and the girl who had stolen her best friend because they had the same name had lent her a book and —
She hadn’t thought something would actually happen.
But there standing in the middle of the nursery was a man. Or not a man. But an adult, at least. Or adult sized and shaped.
And he’d taken her brother.
She screamed at him, she flailed, she kicked him. “Give him back give him back give him back!” and when she’d finally cried herself out he’d gathered her close.
“You lot are getting younger and younger, I rather expected it to go the other way,” he says, softly enough that she doesn’t think she’s supposed to hear.
“Please,” she says, voice still thick with tears, “he’s my brother. He’s the only brother I have, now, and I love him. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it, I love him, please let me have him.”
“Just a child yourself, really,” he says, and then he tips her face up towards his with long fingers that look like bones out of the corner of her eyes but look normal when they’re in front of her. He dabs at her cheek with a handkerchief. And she’s had that done to her before, and it’s always rough and it hurts, but this doesn’t. It’s soft as a kitten. “Where are your parents, child?”
“M’not telling you that,” she says, but the truth is she doesn’t know. They just said they were heading out and she thought a babysitter would show up for Evan but no one did and she realized they must’ve forgotten to call one and —
“My dear,” he chuckles and lightning cracks, “I am Jareth, King of the Goblins, don’t try to keep secrets from me.”
She scowls at him and pushes away, standing up. “And I’m Maddie Buckley and I want my brother back!”
He stays seated and rests his chin in his hand. His other hand suddenly holds three glittering globes, and they begin to rotate and spin. “I can give you anything you want, are you sure that’s what you most desire?”
And, well, no. It’s not. So she puts her hands on her hips and says. “I want both my brothers back!” Because that’s what she most wants. Anything else is stupid.
The balls break in a shatter of glitter and she covers her eyes and when she uncovers her eyes he’s not there anymore.
She hears “far too young” float in through the open window, and when she spins around there’s movement in the crib and —
She sticks her hand through the bars, since that’s faster then trying to get the chair to get in the top, and her little brother wraps his hand around her finger and it’s just the one little brother but that’s fine — well it’s not fine, she wished but —
It’s better than nothing.
And when she pulls him out of the crib, because he’s definitely sleeping in her room tonight, just in case, she notices that he’s got a bit of glitter stuck to his face, by his eye and on his eyebrow, and when she tries to use a washcloth to get it to go away it doesn’t, it sticks stubbornly.
She hopes their parents don’t get upset at her about it, but she gives up and carries him to her room, and makes a pillow barrier and puts her chair under the door and locks the window and sleeps.
And when she wakes up the glitter is gone, but it’s left behind a mark.
Neither of their parents notice.
By the time she’s eighteen, she’s sure the whole thing was a stress dream she had, brought on by the lightning and the crying, and it’s not like they have any photos of Evan when he was born to see him without the fairy kiss above his eye.
#9-1-1 fanfic#maddie & buck#jareth the goblin king#is really not interested in nine year olds#i imagine evan had already been placed with a fae family who was sad to say goodbye to him#and gave him a kiss of luck#which he carries with him

Jareth x Sarah - How It's Worse Than the Age Gap.
Now, from what I can tell, no sane person in the Tumblr Labyrinth fandom ships Jareth x Sarah. Most people who do ship it are either insanely out of the loop, or are middle-aged women who think David Bowie is hot (who could blame them.) It's not something I see that's a problem often. Because as we all grew older, we gained this thing called hindsight. And we were able to realize that, hey, maybe an immortal fae king chasing after a 16-year-old girl is... a bit creepy! This is completely valid, and I agree!
But I often think about how it's a common experience to only be hit with that realization when entering adulthood or teenage years. Why didn't we realize it sooner? And I think I have the answer.
It was about Sarah's desire for Jareth. Not Jareth's desire for Sarah. And it always has been.
Which is why people still actively pushing the ship is not only weird, but it completely negates the entire purpose of Sarah going into Jareth's labyrinth to find her baby brother! And erases all of the character growth she endured!
Now, in order to explain this, we need to take a more allegorical approach to "Labyrinth" as a whole. More specifically, "Labyrinth" as an allegory for growing up, Sarah's transition from girlhood to womanhood. Of course, many people have pointed out the allegories within the film, but we really need to dig in deep here.
"Labyrinth" is a coming-of-age film for Sarah (and, arguably, Jareth, but this isn't about him), she starts the movie as a spoiled, unlikable brat who has to leave behind her selfishness to save someone she loves. She loves all these little insignificant things at the beginning of the film, perhaps more than her brother from an audience's perspective! One look around her bedroom shows that, despite her being a teenage girl, she's stuck in her childhood.
When she wishes Toby away, she has to leave that behind. Because the labyrinth is an unforgiving place and nothing is fair, and Sarah is used to getting what she wants. Who's the person standing most in her way? Jareth. He's older, he's sexy, he's dangerous, he's charming, and he looks like the rockstars Sarah loves. He even looks like the man her mother seems to have run off with, based on the photos in her room! (I have some theories about him too but no matter.) All these factors lead to Sarah being attracted to Jareth. Because, well, what nerdy teenage girl wouldn't be!
Except, Jareth's entire purpose is to keep Sarah from reaching her goal, getting her brother back. His purpose is to, in essence, allow her to give into what she wants, to remain a kid forever. To play with her toys and costumes and "forget about the baby", if you will. At the end of the film, he practically asks for her entire livelihood and says he's asking for little because he's done so much to keep her happy. And while that may be true, he has done a lot, happiness isn't what she needs to grow or what she needs to get her brother back, so she rejects him.
Jareth is the physical embodiment of Sarah's dreams, and that is intentional! Again, going back to the allegory sense, I believe that Jareth is representative of that urge to remain young. Which is why Sarah's rejection of his advances is so crucial, and why her attraction to him is important to her character's growth.
By rejecting Jareth, Sarah is allowing herself to grow up, because she's rejecting her childish, selfish, stubborn ways.
Feeling drawn to Jareth shows Sarah being drawn to the simplicity of childhood. Yet she's growing up against her will, because it's something we all go through, and perhaps this could be represented in Toby being taken by the goblins. And when she says that Jareth has no power over her, that's when she comes to terms with growing up and becoming a woman. It's something we all do. Her past has no power over her.
And with Jareth representative of these things, it dampens how weird that age gap feels. It never focuses on Jareth's attraction to Sarah, because the character growth he experienced would have happened whether or not he loved her romantically, and he objectively is not the protagonist, we aren't supposed to like him. But if Sarah had no feelings for Jareth, she might not have ever changed. And she is also the protagonist, she's supposed to be somewhat likable by the end of the film. By not paying much attention to the adult's attraction to the minor, "Labyrinth" deals with a situation such as this one... very well, in my opinion. Even if maybe the adult never should've reciprocated in the first place.
...All of this is why I find it more weird than others when I see ship content of these two, I think, even with Sarah aged up as an adult. By creating a universe where Sarah never went after Toby or stayed with Jareth, one is... practically killing all her growth throughout the movie. Allowing her to remain selfish and ignorant. Which would be letting Jareth "win" in a sense. Hence why Jareth x Sarah is worse than just the age gap.

Trust Me | Four |
Jareth/Goblin King x F! Reader
Summary : As Sarah's next door neighbour, you're often Mrs Williams' last resort as a babysitter. Sarah had never liked this, but she can be extremely unreliable at times. One stormy night, Sarah grows frustrated with her baby brother and babysitter, resulting in saying a phrase that she later wants to take back. Now, you are stuck in The Goblin Kings realm with little hope to returning home again, unless Sarah can reach the castle and defeat Jareth in time.
How much time had passed?
You continued to wander through the castle. Every room you entered posed no trick, no game. You were growing restless and tired of rousing suspicion, but you couldn't help but feel that Jareth was guiding you into a false sense of security.
Though, you tried to remain optimistic and to continue trusting him. If that's what it took to properly navigate the castle and find Tobey, then that's exactly what you forced yourself to do.
The sound of music became louder and louder, until eventually you entered what appeared to be a Throne Room.
It was large, and there were various shaped Goblins in every inch of the room. You peered around nervously, realising that they hadn't yet noticed your presence. Or, if they had, they didn't seem to care much.
A catchy drum beat made the Goblins dance freely, a blessing in disguise as you began slowly backing out of the room. Surely you weren't supposed to be here, and you had taken a wrong turn at some point? You wanted to trust that Jareth was leading you to the correct place, but he left no clues or physical guidance, only tricks and traps to trip you up if you took a wrong turn.
Then, just as you vanished from sight, your eyes caught sight of the colours red and white. You paused, fingers gripping the doorframe as recognition flashed in your eyes.
It was Tobey.
You gasped loudly, relief flooding through you. He was in the very centre of all the Goblins, sitting on the floor and looking very unsettled. He rubbed his eyes furiously, indicating that he wanted to sleep, but the ruckus caused by the Goblins was preventing him from doing so.
You didn't want to be seen by these Goblin creatures, but you couldn't just leave Tobey to suffer like this. As his babysitter, it was your duty to care and protect him while he was under your watch. You'd already failed to protect him from being snatched by The Goblin King, and you refused to fail in this very moment.
With no other choice, you began walking quickly into the room. The music scratched to a stop, and all the Goblins suddenly turned to face you. They seemed to ponder over your appearance, and then as if they shared a single mind, they launched into action and began charging at you with their small might.
You squealed as they started to tug and pull and push at your legs, arms and clothing. You fought to remain upright while they fought to drag you down. You twirled and twisted in their harsh grabs. Weirdly enough, their actions reminded you somewhat of young children trying to gain their mother's attention.
Tobey was abandoned in the middle of the room. He seemed to recognise you though, because from his position he made a grabbing gesture. You blinked through teary eyes at the distress on his little face, now seeing the dried tear streaks on his cheeks.
How long had he cried and wailed without comfort? How could The Goblin King leave him in the company of these Goblins?
You forcefully yanked your arm back and began pushing your way through the swarm, determined to get to Tobey as quick as you possibly could. The Goblins grabbed hold of your legs, attempting to seize you in place. But you were taller, and somewhat stronger. You broke your legs free and, slowly, step by step, you drew closer to the distressed baby.
Finally, you were just in front of Tobey. He reached up and you leaned down, gently lifting him from his underarms and protectively cradling him into your arms. Your fingers traced his face and head, checking for any injuries that he may have sustained while you were apart. But he was fine, safe and back in your arms.
Then, deliberate slow claps sounded from behind you.
You turned around, trying your hardest to ignore the Goblins that continued to cling on to your lower body. You were sure that if they could jump, they'd try and knock Tobey from your arms. You were thankful that they hadn't made any attempts to do that.
Jareth was sitting leisurely on his throne, his leg crossed over the other. His smile grew when your eyes landed on him.
How long had he been sitting there, watching you? He couldn't have been there the entire time, you would have surely noticed him when you first arrived. Then again, you were so focused on Tobey that it was entirely possible.
Jareth slowly moved his cloak to the side, revealing Tobey sitting beside him. You looked down in your arms, now realising that the baby you had been holding was actually a Goblin, and it was dressed in the same clothes as Tobey. You gasped and let go, as if the Goblin had somehow burned you.
You stared accusingly at Jareth, feeling tricked yet again. There was no way that you had mistaken a Goblin for Tobey, this was most definitely a trick that he had played on you. You felt foolish that you had readily fell for it. You questioned that your desperation might have clouded your judgement of reality, but that surely couldn't have been the cause.
"You trusted me," Jareth said.
You nodded slowly. "I did," you confirmed.
But, now that you had made it to where Tobey was, what was to happen next? You hadn't taken into account that Jareth would physically withhold Tobey from you. Surely this is what you deserved after navigating through those tricks of his? Or, was the game not fully over yet, and this was simply another challenge for you to figure out?
Jareth stood from his throne and sauntered over to you. The Goblins dispersed from around you, leaving room for Jareth to make way. He gently grabbed your hands and somehow guided you into a spin. You closed your eyes, the motion making you dizzy, and then he stopped, holding you so your back was pressed into his chest. His arms rested over your chest, holding you securely in place. If you tried to move, he would have the advantage of keeping you still. Trapped.
Jareth leaned down, his lips brushing against your ear. You shuddered at his breath, a tint of red rushing to your cheeks at the close proximity.
"You remind me of the babe."
You blinked dumbly at the statement. "What babe?" You asked.
Jareth then spun you around again, so you were now facing him. His face was inches from your own, his nose practically touching yours. You stared, mesmerised into his deep coloured eyes, as if he was now hypnotising you.
"The babe with the power."
He let go of your hands, and you automatically placed them against his chest. Jareth secured you in place with his hands on your waist. Again, you were trapped.
"What power?" You asked.
Jareth leaned in closer, his lips practically touching yours. "The power of voodoo."
You felt a strange sensation within you. His fingers dug into your hips, causing you to gasp lightly at the sudden pain. Jareth smirked at this, that evil, sadistic smirk that you desperately wanted to wipe form his face.
"Who do?"
"You do."
"Do what?"
"Remind me of the babe."
Something within you clicked. You blinked rapidly, and just before Jareth could press his lips fully against your own, you jolted back out of his grasp. He frowned at your movement, disappointment flashing across his face, but he soon recovered and regained his cool composure.
Again, you were reminded that Jareth did not take lightly to rejection.
The Goblins reached up and seized you again, holding you steady as Jareth approached Tobey, who had been sitting quietly on the throne throughout the entire encounter. Jareth reached down and scooped Tobey up, now using his finger to tickle under Tobey's chin.
"I saw my baby, crying hard as babe could cry, what could I do?"
Jareth's words had a lyrical sense to them, making you dizzy as he spoke. He turned to face you, his smirk returning at the rooted confusion on your face. You tugged at your arms and legs, trying to break free from the Goblins, but they had a tight hold on you and seemed to be keeping you in place through someone's order. Jareth's order.
"My baby's love had gone, and left my baby blue, nobody knew."
Then, as if enchanted, the Goblins croaked out at the same time: "what kind of magic spell to use?"
"Slime and snails!" One called from your right. You pulled at your arm, but the Goblin only held you tighter. "Or puppy dog tails!" You cringed at the idea of poor animals being used as some sort of spell; it was completely cruel, but you wouldn't put it past Jareth to be cruel. "Thunder or lightning!"
Jareth eyed you from across the room, then looked down at Tobey. Then, he grinned. "And baby said—" Jareth tossed Tobey into the air, practically throwing him at you.
"Tobey!" you yelled and jolted forwards to catch him, arms outstretched. But, as Tobey fell and landed in your arms, you squirmed in horror as a Goblin appeared there instead. You immediately let go, eyes flashing in betrayal at Jareth, while he merely smirked in satisfaction, revealing Tobey still in his own arms, safe.
You huffed, but had no time to process as the Goblins continued to swarm. You felt yourself be pushed around as Jareth started to dance with Tobey in his arms, making the baby laugh and giggle from the exciting movement.
"Dance, magic dance! Put that baby's spell on me," Jareth's eyes flickered to you as the Goblins continued to repeat phrases from his words. "Jump, magic jump! Put that magic jump on me."
A Goblin managed to pull you down. You gasped as your knees hit the floor. The Goblins grabbed your face, prodding and squeezing your cheeks, tugging at your hair.
"Slap that baby, make him free!"
You cringed at the Goblin's touches. You tried to move your face away, tried to lift your body up again, but they had you trapped in a kneeling position on the floor. You continued to struggle and fight against them, but the more you struggled, the worse they became.
"I saw my baby, trying hard as babe could try, what could I do?" Jareth gestured to you on the floor, frowning at the obvious distress on your face. "My baby's fun had gone, and left my baby blue, nobody knew!"
The Goblins were extremely loud as they chanted a repeated "what kind of magic spell to use?"
You stared up at Jareth as he continued with the various magic spells. Slime and snails, puppy dog tails, thunder and lightning... and through each word that he spoke, you could see his eyes constantly flickering back to you. It felt as though he was genuinely trying to help you, offer out a hand of support.
Was he trying to help you escape the Goblins? But surely he could just tell them to stop?
You thought harder. Trust me.
You blinked in realisation. Trust me.
Jareth wanted you to willingly trust him. Even now, as he flaunted Tobey in front of you, teasing you with lyrical words and had you trapped on the floor by Goblins, he still wanted you to trust him. But how could you show that you were trying to do so?
Then, resolved with an idea, you stopped struggling. The Goblins noticed this and ceased their tugging and pulling. You breathed a sigh of relief, then looked up at Jareth from your kneeling position on the floor. He had placed Tobey on the throne behind him, and your eyes softened as you noticed he had fallen asleep. All that dancing had worn him out.
Jareth reached his hand out to you. "You remind me of the babe."
You slowly placed your hand into his own, feeling a rush of warmth fill your chest as Jareth guided you to your feet. "What babe?"
Jareth smirked, pulling you close. "The babe with the power."
He leaned down, his nose touching yours.
"What power?"
"The power of voodoo."
Your eyes fell half lidded. "Who do?"
Jareth's arms encircled your waist, holding you trapped against his body. Though, this time you didn't feel trapped. Which was strange, because you knew he'd be angry if you rejected him again; but what would happen if you accepted him?
"You do."
"Do what?" You asked, breathless and weak.
Jareth's eyes sparkled. "Remind me of the babe."
And then, his lips pressed against yours, and suddenly your mind went completely blank. You melted into his touch, your surroundings fading away from your mind. The Goblins no longer existed in that very moment, because all that was real was Jareth's lips against your own.

Labyrinth is a somewhat unusual kids movie, and not just because it's one of very few movies I saw as a kid where I actually related to a female protagonist.
It's probably not a surprise that young Mac liked a story about a fantasy loving kid who goes on adventure and collects friends along the way. And doesn't have a romance plot (despite the movie being a sexual awakening to at least some other viewers).
But there are two things that make Labyrinth different--one of which seems clearly intended, one of which probably wasn't.
The intended difference: Sarah doesn't have to give up her love of fantasy or the friends she made in the goblin kingdom. She can become more grown up without abandoning who she is. It looks like it's going to go with the usual give up fantasy to grow up ending, but then her friends start appearing in her mirror and she is allowed to need them. Allowed keep them. Allowed to stay who she is. Having a fantasy life is not incompatible with growing up.
She doesn't actually need to put away her childish things and start dating. She can accept her little brother (and presumably go on to have a better relationship with her dad and step mom) without becoming who her step mom thinks she should be.
(Both the adults and the child protagonists being, in some ways, wrong is nice, too. Sure, Sarah's wrong for treating her step mom like "a wicked stepmother in a fairy story." But said step mom's dialogue makes it clear that she's not really engaging with actual Sarah, either.)
Which brings us to the probably unintended difference: it's entirely possible to read Sarah as some flavor of aro/ace. She's not dating, despite being of an age where her step mom thinks she should be. And while her fantasies include things like "goblin king fell in love with girl," she doesn't really respond to her situation as if that means something outside of being part of fairy stories. Members of the audience may have reacted to Jareth's tight pants, but Sarah...doesn't. There's a moment where she seems intrigued by his magic, but, even in the dream sequence, she never really seems drawn to him. Like, the magic keeps putting him in her path until she dances with him, but that's not the same thing.
And, again, we don't get an ending where she gives up on fantasy and discovers boys. She gets to keep her fantasy and her friends.
Do I think they were trying to make a protagonist who can be read as aro/ace? No. Do I think she can also be read as just a normal teenage girl who isn't ready for that kind of thing yet? Of course. But she can be read as aro/ace and that's...really damn unusual for a story about a teenage girl.
(And, yes, I think Sarah grew up to be a successful fantasy writer, is the cool aunt to Toby's kids, and Hoggle and Ludo and the rest still visit her from time to time.)

Fan Dragon Month Mini Series: The Labyrinth
Day Fifteen: Jareth The Goblin King
Male Imperial - Shadow Rare
XXX Buttercup
Clouded/Edged/Glimmer
Lore Under Cut!
Jareth has been around for a long, long time. His parents were among the first Imperials to leave The Sunbeam Ruins after the creation of the Pearlcatchers, leaving with a small band of dragons who planned on pledging their allegiance to The Shadowbinder instead. Jareth was a strange child from the start, and the rest of the colony could feel it. Rumors circulated that though he was born with Shadow magic within, his shining golden scales were a sign he was a vessel for The Lightweaver, sent to spy on them and punish them for their betrayal. His parents loved him still, and raised him with the best of intentions, but died tragically young in an event long-lost to history.
Now thoroughly outcasted by his birth clan, Jareth wandered the Wispwillow Grove for what felt like ages; until he found It. It was a strange little mushroom, but unlike the seemingly millions of others around It, It was pitch black, darker than any shadow he’d ever seen. When he poked it with his talon, It shrunk back immediately, a bubble popping on its surface with an almost wistful sigh. Jareth had heard of Familiars before, but had never had one of his own, and thus decided that this must be the same thing. Over the next few days, Jareth would return to It, feeding It scraps of meat and bone to gain It’s trust, and this seemed to work. It began to morph into a small creature and follow Jareth around, finally giving him the companionship he so desperately longed for. And so, It became the first goblin.

After an hour of heeding through the dark forest, Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli arrived at one of the many doors of the dead leading to Jareth's kingdom of caverns inside the Misty Mountains.
They dismounted their horses and slowly walked up to the dark entrance with vigilance. Legolas eyed the markings that surrounded the stone doorway and then read the eerie translation aloud.
"The way is shut. It was made by those who are dead."
"Legolas, Jareth's kingdom is miles long. Did Thranduil reveal his location?" Aragon quietly asked.
"No...but this is the right way. I can feel him."
Just then, a low deathly howl arose from within the blackness and a foul gust of smokey wind rushed at them, startling their horses off into the forest.
"Percy!" Legolas called.
"Let them go. They will stay near and wait." Aragorn claimed. "The dead know we are here and I do not fear death."
Aragorn marched off through the black hole in the mountainside and then Legolas quickly followed as Gimli stood frozen for a moment, staring at the gateway to hell.
"Speak for yourself." Gimli muttered as he then reluctantly went in after them.
Once inside, Aragorn lit a torch and studied the narrow cave like passageways, in which one was filled with mounds of skulls.
"I knew it to be true, but have not witnessed it with my own eyes." Legolas softly spoke as he gazed around with a ghastly expression.
'What is it Legolas?" Gimli inquired from behind him, readily holding his axe.
Legolas then began the tale of Jareth's rise to the goblin King as they crept along.
"Jareth. He executed them all. Armies of men, his two older brothers and father included, King Jasper. The mountain was his and he was ruthless just like Jareth, but Jareth was by far more cruel and wanted this kingdom for himself. He barricaded them all inside and released a deadly poison that filled and burned their lungs. Their cries could be heard from Rivendell, carried in the wind as far as Mirkwood and this mountain soon became their tomb. Jareth then took his unrightful place as King and created the Goblin city. Jasper was an extremely powerful warlock, as were his army, but even they could not fight the air they breathed, for they only had moments of it left."
"They are still here." Legolas continued as his eyes locked on to something in the distance. "Full of vengeance and hate, and they do not want us here."
"Legolas, what do you see?" Gimli whispered.
"I see shapes of men and I hear their wailing voices. The dead are following, and they have been summoned."
"Keep moving. We have a long ways to go...and don't look down." Aragorn commanded...but of course, Gimli halted and looked down after he heard the crunching beneath his feet.
As the fog like smoke on the ground cleared in random spots, he could see that they were walking over the dead.
"Gimli, keep going. We have no choice." Legolas ordered.
"Yes we do. We can leave."
Legolas side eyed the dwarf and trekked on. Gimli huffed and swiftly tailed the Prince, for he would never leave his great elven friend, or even the King of Mirkwood.
Legolas called to his father as they carried on through the path of dismantled skeletons.
"Adar...are you there?"
"Legolas! I am here. Where are you now?"
"We are inside the mountain, on the South end, West side near the high pass. It may be some time before we can get to you. Are you safe? Where are you?"
"I am working my way through the old deserted dungeons which places me further North. Jareth has alerted his goblin guard of my escape and it will not be long before they trace my scent."
"Yes, the mountain is aware of our presence as well which is delaying us. Keep moving quickly. We will locate you."
"Legolas...beware of King Jasper, for you are in the deathly hollows. He will show himself and will not let you pass. He is more deadly now than he ever was for he loathes the living."
"Legolas?" Aragorn curiously asked.
"Father is a mile North in the dungeon tunnels. He also warns of Jasper's deadly wrath of the living. It will not be easy to pass through into the black heart of Goblin Town."
"I could not agree more." Gimli quipped as he stared behind the Prince.
Ghostly hands rose up out of the foggy layer beneath the three warriors and began circling around all of them in a taunting manner. Legolas respectfully tried not to touch them while Aragorn calmly moved about, watching the hands creepily caress his body as Gimli tried blowing them away with an annoyed attitude.
"Over here!" Aragorn shouted as he found a clear exit, which unknowingly led them right up to Jasper's front porch.
"Uhh, I think we took a wrong turn." Gimli announced with a fretful tone as their eyes all wandered around the massive ruins.
"There is no other way at this point." Aragorn explained.
"The way is shut remember? And I don't see a welcome mat beneath those steps. I have a really bad feeling about this." Gimli concluded.
"You and me both." Legolas concurred.
An eerie howl made it's way up the mammoth sized abyss in the ground that most likely led straight to hell. An ominous green fog began to arise from it and then Aragorn sensed a presence. As he whipped around, there, at the foot of the way, stood the apparition of King Jasper....
Charles headed to Claude's room after learning she had given birth, but as he arrived, the halls were occupied with his father's men, coming and going from the room. He then rushed off in worry to see what was happening. Upon his arrival, he was immediately stopped by the guards.
"What is going on?? Where is my sister??"
"She has been moved to another room. This room has been ceased by the orders of Lord Narcisse to be searched."
"Searched?? Searched for what??"
"I am not with authority to relay that information."
"But I am his son!"
"That you may be, but I was given orders of strict confidentiality with no exceptions."
"Well, I am an exception. Isn't that right??" Charles deviously smiled as he magically forced the powerless guard to allow him entry. He had to see what all the fuss was about.
"Yes my Lord Charles. You may enter."
Charles entered the room and began to look around at the disarray left behind from the rummaging. Something caught his eye on the desk. A doll like object made out of hay from the stables which gave off the distinct scent of Arion, Narcisse's now dead horse. The other was a black leather book, bound by simple twine. Charles was just about to open it out of sheer curiosity.
"I'll take that!" Narcisse snapped as he yanked the book from his son's hands. "What are you doing in here? Better yet, how did you get in here?"
Charles tried to speak but all that came out was a bunch of stuttering.
"As I suspected. You used your magic on my men, didn't you?"
"Y..yes but.."
"But nothing. You know of my rules. Your magic is only to be used when necessary and being a stickybeak is of no necessity. What happened to your charm? Did I not teach you well?"
'My apologies Narcisse. I was looking for Claude and I just wanted to see why her room was being searched."
"It is being searched for the same reason your mother's is. The use of black magic is not permitted in my realm and yet it has been displayed on more than one occasion, with the intent to kill." Narcisse explained as he picked up the little hay figure, gazing at it with sad eyes.
"This...this is how you think my mother...killed Arion?"
"I do..and she's done much more with this book you almost stupidly opened. It is bound for a reason. Your mother stole it from Jo's room."
"The why, if I may ask, are these in my sister's room? and why would Jo have a book of black magic here if it is not permitted?"
"The book was Jo's mother's. She was trying to keep it out of the wrong hands. Mind you, that if in the right hands, it can be used for good, just as that other book.."
"What other book?"
"That's not of any importance to you. Now, as far as Claude, she is suspected of assisting your mother with these evil tasks, which explains why she has the objects among her possessions. I feel Catherine had her take them and continue what she could not after she had been imprisoned. Claude's diary was confiscated as well, so only time will tell."
"Narcisse...if Claude was involved...w..what are you going to..do? She..she just had a child..."
"Contrary to what Claude thinks of me, I am not a monster. If she is indeed guilty of these crimes, she will be banished from here when she is well enough."
"And my mother?"
Bash then swiftly interrupted, carrying something of importance.
"Lord Narcisse, this was found in the fireplace in Catherine's room."
He handed Stephane a half burnt similar doll. Narcisse's eyes darkened in fury as he smelled his own scent on it.
"Well, to answer your question Charles, Catherine deserves a far worse punishment than your sister. What that is, has yet to be determined. Bash, has Jo's previous chambers been searched as well for the items I described, specifically....a letter or...letters?"
"It has. Three of the four items were located and placed in your office for safe keeping for the Queen."
"Very well. Carry on with your duties. None of this is to be mentioned to Catherine when you look in on her."
"Narcisse...answer me. You're not going to hurt my mother are you?? I know she has done bad things and we certainly do not see eye to eye but..."
"It is not my intentions to harm the woman that gave me such a wonderful gift. If it were not for you, she would have been disposed of some time ago, but with that said, this investigation has only begun. Her future actions as well depend on her fate. No one, not even her, is immune to my wrath of harming those I love."
Narcisse then left with the spell book and dolls, leaving Charles in a worried state, and headed straight to his office to see what three objects were found...hoping one to be Thranduil's letter.
What he found were the exact three items you described to him. The dreamcatcher, a record and...a letter, but not the letter he was hoping to find. This was one you had written to Thranduil, which meant Thranduil's letter to you was a ticking time bomb waiting to be stepped on and so was Catherine with her knowledge of it. Charles was his only leverage in finding it and keeping her quiet instead of doing what he wanted to do... dispose of her in the black sea.
You sat with Lola, Leean and Haldir in the dining hall eating some lunch since you didn't eat in Narcisse's room that morning. Haldir rarely spoke and when he did, it was to Lola or Leean. He wouldn't even make eye contact with you. You couldn't believe how truly upset he was and worried you may have pushed him too far this time.
It was too much, Haldir ignoring you, so you called out to Garrett in your mind and told him you were coming early and he had better show up.
"Lola..I'm going out for a ride. I need some air and I haven't rode Stygian in awhile. He deserves my attention after he rode all the way back here to alert Narcisse of the trouble on Lestat's mountain."
Haldir stopped mid chew and his eyes raised to you.
"What?" you flatly asked.
He then swallowed and sat back. "You are going out by yourself after Harker was just here?"
"Yes...I am. I'm not going near the dark forest and I will not leave the grounds. I'm sick and freaking tired of living in fear. My powers are back and I am going to take control of my life. I am going to be the warrior Thranduil helped me to be. I'm done playing nice. I found out a long time ago that it's more fun to be the wicked witch than the helpless Queen. You have a problem with that?"
"N...no...I just..."
"Well then, I'll be back...when I get back."
You gave Leean a kiss, took your hair out of it's bun and shook it about, then swirled around and marched out.
Haldir had a bad feeling of where you were going, so he went to find Narcisse. He didn't care how tough you thought you were, Haldir didn't trust Garrett one single bit.
You got to the stables and stroked Stygian's long snout, who in turn bobbed his head and made a soft huff, telling you he was very happy to see you.
"Would you like to go for a ride my friend?"
The stallion swiftly bobbed his head multiple times and scuffed his foot in anticipation.
You saddled up the sleek and lustrous black beauty and climbed up, then off you went, trotting out to the open lands behind the castle. If Harker was still around, you would surely see him coming.
After about twenty minutes, you were near Narcisse's villa, so you stopped there and dismounted, giving the horse a drink of the water you brought.
A breeze of air rushed over you, filled of maple syrup. Your lips pursed in anger and you whirled around, giving Garrett a hefty shove.
"You!!!" you snapped.
'Whoa, hey, what the hell Josephine??? I came like you asked."
"Don't what the hell me Garrett Lee. You know what the hell!"
"This wouldn't have anything to do with...your steamy dream would it?" he grinned.
"Oh you son of a..."
"Hey now! No need for name calling. I cannot help what you dream...and I can't help seeing it either...we share each other's blood remember? Not even your shield can keep me out...And you little one, by the way, invited me into your mind once upon a time. You know the saying, don't ever invite a vampire into your home....well in this case, mind...same thing."
"I'll show you little!"
You rushed at him again and he chuckled, grabbing your wrists and pulling you against him.
"Face it little one...you want me." he smugly said with a curled smirk.
'Aaarrgh!!! Let me go you big jerk or I'll...!" you huffed as you peered up into his dazzling blue eyes from the sunlight.
Garrett flung his fingers out and held them there. "Or you'll what?? Do to me what your eyes are screaming to do? Funny how your words don't match the desire I smell. You are turned the fuck on right now, and frankly, so am I. Little firecracker."
'God damn it Garrett, did you do it???? Don't lie to me. Did you enter my dreams like you did once before and make me do that??"
He folded his arms over his chest stared straight down at you.
"You did it. You pulled me into your dream. I had absolutely nothing to do with it...well I mean I did, after you sucked me in. I mean, it wasn't like I wasn't going to participate."
You began to tremble because you knew he was telling the truth. Tears began to burn your eyes as you looked away from him.
"This is bullshit..." you muttered.
"Why? because you acted out how you really feel? because you TOLD me how you really feel? I didn't make you do or say any of it Josephine. I'm not that monster anymore and you know it. In fact, you're the only one who believes that and I would never do anything to jeopardize the progress I have made with you. Not ever."
"Is that so? because correct me if I'm wrong, but you fucked Raven."
'And you told me you forgave me and yet here you are, throwing it in my face. I regret that with every ounce of my being and you know it. Fuck Josephine, what are you so afraid of???"
"You damn it. I didn't ask for this and I don't want it!! I am not supposed to feel this way. I can't feel this way!"
He walked up to you with a serious expression. "But you do. You felt it in the forest yesterday and you felt it when you tried to save me from Amara...and from Julian..and you felt in when you kissed me in Amara's little game....and you felt it in your dream...and you feel it right fucking now."
Your eyes slowly met his and fixated there as you stood in silence.
He then placed his cool hand on your cheek. "I know you will always love Thranduil. I'm not trying to take that away from you because I know that I never could...and even if I could, I would never do it. You and I have come so far Josephine and god help me, I fell in love with you...and I know that you're scared and you feel guilty, I get it. I really do...I'm fucking scared too. That's why I keep running away from you...because I know I'll never mean anything to you like he did. You're the only person that's ever given a shit about me. Even when I was alive, no one did."
He removed his hand from your face and folded his arms again, lowering his head and looking away.
"Garrett....you are alive. Your heart may not beat, but I still hear it...in your words, in your actions...in the way you look at me....in the way you're hurting right now. I'''I'm so sorry I lashed out at you. I mean, I knew it...I knew in my own heart that you didn't force that dream on me and it scared the hell out of me."
"You didn't seem scared. In fact, you didn't seem scared one single bit." he said with an almost grin and devious eyes.
"You're impossible, you know that! IMPOSSIBLE!" you sarcastically chuckled and threw your hands up, shaking your head. "You know, I used to never be able to get you to talk, about anything, especially your feelings and now you don't shut up about them."
"Do you want me to shut up?"
"I can't believe I'm going to say this but....Yes. I want you to shut the hell up ....and kiss me already."
"I'll shut up any day for that my little one."
He placed his hands on each side of your face and slowly lowered his mouth to yours, stopping just before he touched them.
"I don't want you to say anything. Just let me say something ok?"
"O..ok..."
"I love you Josephine, always." he whispered.
You swear your heart stopped for a moment, and then you just pushed up on your tippy toes and kissed him fully and deeply. Your tongues softly united in each kiss that began again after one ended.
"Jo???"
Haldir's voice questioned in a sour tone from behind you. You gasped as your feet snapped flat on the ground. There sat both the befuddled Marchwarden and Stephane on their horses. Narcisse stared at you while Haldir glowered at Garrett with his bow drawn at him. You never even heard them ride up and surprisingly, neither did Garrett.
"I...I...umm..."
You looked back up at Garrett and mouthed to him as you squeezed his hand..."Go..."
Your hair and dress blew back as he vanished in the air and then you turned to the elf and warlock with a look that could kill.
As King Jasper's ghost stood before Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli, he spoke.
"The dead do not suffer the living to pass."
"You will suffer me." Aragorn affirmed.
Jasper released a sinister laugh as his skeletal face formed through his decayed skin.
Out of the green gas like fog that crawled up from the black abyss in the ground, there arose an army of the dead that circled around the three warriors.
"The way is shut. Now you must die." the late warlock King attested as he walked towards them.
Legolas quickly drew his bow and shot an arrow straight between his eyes, which went clean through his skull as if it were dust.
Jasper continued walking, unphased and unthreatened by their presence as the dead began to close in on them.
Aragorn raised his sword as Jasper charged at him with his. The dead King's transparent sword clashed with Aragorn's, incredulously surprising Jasper.
"That blade was broken!" Jasper contested.
"It has been remade." the ranger confirmed as he held it to the dead man's throat and then shoved him back.
"Fight for us and regain your mountain. What say you?"
Jasper began to wickedly laugh again as he and his legion began to back away, obviously intimidated by the powerful ranger of the North who held the only sword that could destroy him.
"What say you?!!! You have my word. I will release you from your living deaths!!"
The vast army and the nefarious warlock lord all dissolved into thin air and merely moments later, the ground began to atrociously shake. Within seconds, the walls began to crumble and millions of skulls came gushing out almost faster than Aragorn could shout..."RUN!! NOW!!"
The skeletal remains began to consume the three combatants and Legolas was sucked under the raging skull pit.
"Legolas!!" Aragorn shouted as he frantically fought against what felt like falling bricks...and then he found the Elvenprince's hand and pulled him up.
"Hi té!!!" (Over here) a woman's voice shouted. There stood Tauriel in an opening to the outside that would soon be caved in.
Aragorn led the way with Legolas in fast pursuit, making sure that Gimli was pushed out before the falling boulders could crush them.
The trio bolted out the exit, smothered in a cloud of smoke to see Tauriel awaiting them with their horses.
"Tauriel! You should not have come!" Legolas scolded her.
"Yes she should have." Gimli quipped. "Or we would be buried in a pile of rubble, eventually becoming one of the skull family....and she found our horses."
Tauriel grinned at Legolas. "You are welcome."
"I did not thank you. I ordered you not to follow."
"Legolas Greenleaf, you do not order me to do anything. Gimli is right. I showed you the way out or all of you would be trapped inside right now."
"Thank you Tauriel." Gimli smiled, giving her a wink.
"Yes, thank you Tauriel. Legolas is just a bit discombobulated right now." Aragorn said as he gave the Prince a look of disbelief to his attitude.
"I have the phial of starlight. We would have gotten out." Legolas scowled and marched off to his horse.
As he stood there drinking from his canteen, for some reason he heard your voice inside his head calling his name.
"Josie??" he whispered as his eyes darted all around.
You rode back to the castle with Narcisse and Haldir trailing behind you, for you wanted to get away from them both. You couldn't believe Haldir tattled on you and brought Stephane to find you like you were some child.
A strange feeling came over you, something you couldn't place. Yoour intuition maybe? but you felt...afraid....for...Legolas.
"Legolas?" you said in your head with confusion, wondering why you suddenly thought of him. Was he in trouble?
"Josie??" you then heard inside your head.
You were startled so bad that you gasped and fell from your horse, landing with a thud right on your back.
"Jo!!" Haldir shouted and leaped from his horse, rushing to your side.
Narcisse raced to your side as well.
"Jo! Speak to me. Are you alright??"
You laid there in shock for a moment, trying to take in the air that was knocked clean from your lungs, then you found it.
"Legolas???!" you belted out in a heavy breath as you sat up.
Haldir's eyes widened and he began to look all around for his godson.
"Jo...why are you calling to Legolas?? He is not here. Did you hit your head my lady?" Haldir asked in great concern.
"I....I heard him!! In my head...he...he said my name..."
You sprung up to your feet and spun all around, looking for him. "Legolas??? Where are you??"
There was nothing but silence now. "Legolas!!" you called again, and again... all was silent.
"This...makes no sense! I know what I heard!"
"Jo, come on, let's get you back to the castle. Haldir is right, you may have hit your head."
"Do not handle me Narcisse!" you snapped and pushed his hand away from your arm. "I did not hit my head. I heard him!"
You climbed back on your horse and galloped off with the two of them chasing after you.
All the way back to the castle, you kept saying his name in your head, but you never heard him again.
Once inside, you went and got Leean, then headed off with Lola to her room, for you didn't want to talk to anyone for at least a few hours, especially Haldir and Stephane.
You laid on the sofa with her, just staring at the ceiling, wondering what the hell just happened. How was it possible? To hear him in that way? You knew you were not imagining it because you felt him before you fell. This was only ever possible with Thranduil.
"Josie...would you like a cup of hot chamomile tea to relax you?"
You sat up and laid your sleeping bay girl in her crib and then teared up. Chamomile tea made you think of your dad and you needed him so bad right now, but he was god knows where and not in his right mind.
Lola handed you the tea. "Here...drink this. Be careful, it's ho...."
You already sipped it and surely burnt your tongue. In anger, you lashed out.
"Vampires, warlocks and elves, oh my fucking god!"
You then began to sob and curled up on the couch. Lola got a blanket and covered you. "Rest my lady. I will be here when you wake."
Lola sat down beside you and stroked your hair as you cried yourself to sleep.
"Thranduil...." you whimpered before everything went black.
The fucked up random dreams came again. You saw Matthew once more. This time he was holding Leean as a baby, at least you believed it was her. If it wasn't, who was it? Were you seeing the future of his and Leean's child? Could an elf carry a vampire's baby??
He was lightly bouncing her, singing a song...and then he saw you.
"Josephine. There's something you should know. You will walk among us one day. I've seen it...."
The next thing you knew, Garrett walked in and stood beside you, smiling as he took your hand......

The Playdate ⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡
A collaboration with @the-angelbun-returns! Please go follow them! They wrote the story and I made the drawing! (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
It was a curious sight, two men most would classify as irredeemable monsters, two young children whose lives were fundamentally changed, two different stories acting as perfect mirrors of each other. Yet here they were. The Goblin King and the Radio Demon chatting like old friends, their little loves wondering through the rose garden Jareth had specifically sat aside for this playdate. It was a rare moment of true peace for Percy, after all mister Alastor was so strict with who his son could be with, plus it had been such a long time since Percy felt the sun against their porcelain skin.
Thankfully Maya was a lovely host, eager to show her newest friend around the castle. The two kids talked and talked, sharing stories back and forth as they walked hand in hand. Maya always somehow bringing up her husband every few minutes, but Percy didn’t mind, they knew that feeling of overwhelming love all too well. It was strange for both children to have a friend around their age, neither of them were complaining though!
The day wore on in a blur of smiles and laughter, the couples so caught up in their own conversations no one noticed the sun setting until the sky was a deep orange. No one really complained through, as the day had been so much fun it hardly mattered that it was late…

Originally I wanted to wait until Summer to post this, but I learned that before David Bowie was decided to be Jareth the Goblin King in the Labyrinth movie, they had considered other famous singers like Michael Jackson and Prince.
So I made a kinda playlist based off of the songs they made before the movie (1986 and before).
Here's Bowies original movie soundtrack
Underground
Magic Dance
Chilly Down
As The World Falls Down
Within You
And here's my weird idea, I tried picking them based on similar meanings, but idk.
Michael Jackson
P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)
Thriller
Somebody’s Watching Me
Cinderella Stay A While
The Lady in My Life
Prince
When Doves Cry
Let’s Go Crazy
Jungle Love
Purple Rain
Take Me with U

Hey Oz,
Labyrinth programming a thing? One of my alters is the same age as Sarah from the movie, 16- striking resemblance to her. I havent spoke to her in a bit, it feels like she was "moved away" (feels like my inner world can move like a Rubik's cube, almost)
She lives in a huge library of maze that looks a lot like the last part in the film when she's trying to find Toby her little brother. Just like that but mixed with a library.
I looked through your tags and couldn't find anything related, if you know about roles/characters there could be if it exists I would be incredibly appreciative. (I'm in my 30s and the Labyrinth has been one of my favourite films since childhood).
Thank you
Yes, the movie Labyrinth has been used as a programming script.
Jareth–He will be a deep level alter. “The King” or “The Goblin King”.
Sarah Williams–She will be in a mid level and can ‘float’ from the top level to mid level.
Toby Williams-Will be where programming occurs internally. As a young part he will have a lot of system information.
Hoggle–Top level misinformation alter.
Ludo–System protector
Sir Didymus and Ambrosius–A yin and yang combination.
The Worm–(and his wife) They know the way through labyrinths and are kind.
The Wise Man–He will be deep inside the system.
The Four Guards–Alph, Ralph, Jim, and Tim.–They are two sets of identical twins. They will guard doors, and other passageways.
The Door Knockers–One door will lead to a safe place, the other door will not when these knockers are on internal doors.
The Fire Gang–internal spies, and messengers found on all levels.
The Junk Lady–Can be an introject of a female abuser.
The Goblin Corps–will guard smaller doors, punish alters who don’t follow the expectations of the system, and will cause issues if the system breached by a credible source.

I think Lloyd the hottest villain I’ve ever seen in my life… and I’m only 20
Well…you have lived but a short life. I don’t know I think Ransom Drysdale is pretty hot, too. Bryce Langley was hot, and then he had to turn into the biggest ass of all. Also, I am inclined to think Eric Killmonger is BEAUTIFUL!
You know who my absolute villainous crush is though? Like honestly, the villain that made me feel things, when I was way too young to be feeling them. And even though as an adult I understand the odd undertones in the movie, and I still don’t care it’s a perfect movie, and I will randomly bring it up whenever possible, because again it’s a perfect movie? They had NO reason to make this villain this damn sexual. I watch the movie as an adult and I’m like…you couldn’t have shot that scene differently?? I will forever be a fan of ALL of this man’s work because of THIS movie. One of the greatest movies of ALL time and I dare someone to fight me on this. I have this movie on DVD, Blu-ray, and VHS. I have the soundtrack on cassette, CD, and vinyl….without further adieu my favorite villain of ALL time Jareth the Goblin King
You remind me of the babe!
But yeah…Lloyd is pretty fucking hot. But I’m also afraid he’ll put me in a cage and only bring me out to lick the blood off him…sooooooo make of that what you will. Ransom at least would just use you relentlessly until you’re passed out, and then snort a line off your ass.
