I have something to add to the Helaena is secretly team black discourse. With no hate to the actors because that's odd, I don't think Helaena would've been better off with Rhaenyra and Daemon. If she was Daemon's kid, then he won't like her. She wouldn't claim a dragon until she reaches Westeros, and he'd view her as odd with her premonitions being the same nonsense his brother falls to and wouldn't understand her dragonbond. He simply wouldn't like her. And as much as I love Rhaenyra, I don't think she'd be able to handle a daughter like Helaena. She's not like Alicent, who is affectionate at times and downright apologetic in her compassion to her children. Rhaenyra would gaslight Helaena into thinking her dreams are simply a gut feeling and hug her to end their interactions. That's hyperbole.

But I don't think Rhaenyra's parenting would be good with Helaena and who she is. Also, not one of those Dragonstone kids would match Helaena energy. Maybe Rhaena, at best. The only benefit I'd see with Helaena being team black is the fact that she'd be surrounded by girls her own age.

Outside of that, it's not working well. I think the greens for all that they are allow her to be herself, and even if they don't understand her, they don't impose themselves to get her to mesh within the family dynamic. They let her be for the most part outside of marrying Aegon. Hell, she might've been married off if she was a team black child or engaged of one of the boys.

What I need everyone to understand is that while Belle is “not like other girls” it’s because she’s a little weirdo with a hyperfixation/special interest for medicine and surgery in the 1800s (due to her own life threatening health condition might I add) and it’s not because she is a pick me.

Weirdly enough it doesn’t take that much to make her laugh. The only real requirement is that she likes you. Or at least tolerates you. Her grandpa was very much a dad-joke at every opportunity kind of guy and so the bar was low for August growing up in terms of humor. Her like normal laugh is just a regular like. Haha. But if you really get her going she has what I love to describe as the dad-laugh where it’s like. Straight from the gut. You know what I’m talking about she’d have that I can not see her giggling kicking her feet no she’s like full on 50 year old man wheezing

A few, yeah! She’s got a t-shirt she got from her grandpa when she was 6. He got it for her from a fishing trip—she was supposed to go with him but she freaked out about leaving the city last minute and so he ended up getting her a souvenir. It’s got the words EAT. SLEEP. FISH written on it with a badly drawn cartoon salmon in the middle, and he bought it a million sizes too big for little August so that she’d grow into it. She hated it growing up but ever since he passed she wears it pretty often—mainly as a pajama shirt.

She also has a bracelet that her brother Harry made for her before she left for the valley. It’s one of those yarn bracelets you’d make at camp in like an hour. When he found out August was leaving he freaked out and was like. Man I gotta give her something so she doesn’t forget me ever! So August wears it all the time 24/7 and shows it off like it’s the most expensive piece of jewelry she owns. “Oh this old thing? Ha—it’s a Harry Callihan original. One of a kind, actually. Maybe I can convince him to make you one but I don’t know he only makes stuff for the coolest people he knows.” Like she’s so annoying about it

Oh yes. Ohhhhhhhh yes. August transitioned between emo and punk on a day to day basis when she was in school. Her hair? Dyed and bleached and shaved off to SHIT by her own hands. The amount of eyeliner that’s been rubbed into this poor girl’s eye like it’s a miracle she isn’t blind. She was so obnoxious about it too like fully telling people who could and could not be emo and/or punk. She took the gatekeep in gaslight gatekeep girlboss too far I fear. She’s grown out of those subcultures in the sense of like. Not directly interacting with either scene as much anymore. But they’re still very core to her being and she has no shame or internal cringe about any of it :) one day I’ll draw some of her kid looks I need everyone to see my visions for her

Aight so I recently started watching Lego Ninjago: Dragons Rising (since i was and still am a pretty big fan of Ninjago already) and lemme just say, this shit is HILARIOUS! Idk what it is, the comedy is so perfect and spot on! I remember the original being funny but not THIS funny. It might be the writing of the dialogue i think?

Also the animation improvement is CRAZY AWESOME to see. I love seeing animation improve over time and this is an amazing example. Ima probably make art of WyldFyre cause she’s my favourite
