If there’s one lesson I could list out of any other lessons I learnt for the past one year; is to stop seeking validation. All my life (as far as I remember) I was seeking validation and tbh, it’s whack. Yeap I’m so selective with who I choose to indulge myself with now. Ever since I’m determined to pick myself up from the rock bottom about a year ago, I didn’t look back. It’s the promise I made to myself. To never ever put myself in a position where I was a couple of months ago. Ever. Guess it’s right, you gotta hit rock bottom to rise from the ashes again. Picked myself up each day, slowly building my strength and confidence back, accepting all parts of me when I used to hate looking at myself in the mirror. Being kinder to myself starting last year is no doubt the most noble thing I’ve done to myself. I suck at something or fuck things up? It’s okay lesson learned let’s try again. You checked your eyeliner in the visor of your car one last time before closing it. The scar running through your left eyebrow used to glare at you every time you looked in the mirror but now you don't even notice it.

Your adorable 7 year old was bolting into the house before you even got a chance to tell her to not run. You smiled, shaking your head as you got out of your car. Closing the driver side door with your hip before walking into your new home.

It was perfect. The best balance of modern and homey. It was 100% your style and you couldn't help the wide smile across your face as you walked up the few steps to your new front door that Thea left wide open.

"Thea! You got to shut the door!" You yelled through the empty house. Your furniture hadn't been delivered yet but Thea insisted on staying the night in the new house.

You decided to rough it out with a blow up mattress and a lot of blankets on the floor until the next day. You were over staying at a hotel anyways. Your stuff was constantly covering the two beds and the floor, it was pretty embarrassing any time the housekeepers would come in and see their new boss be so messy.

"Sorry, mom!" She yelled as she ran to the backyard to the pool. Her bathing suit already on and a towel thrown over her shoulder.

"No running in the house!" You sighed as you heard the glass door slam shut. She was starting to get really good at not listening.

You stood in your new kitchen, hands on your hips as you looked at all the boxes sitting on the floor. This was going to take you forever to put away. You were already dreading having to bend over a million times to get stuff out of boxes. You should have paid someone to do this.

You sighed, bending over to pick up the box of glasses. Fuck bending over you were going to just put it on the counter to unload it.

"Wat are y'doing!" You heard him yell from behind you, rushing down the stairs to the kitchen. You hadn't even had the box lifted for 5 seconds before he caught you.

"I'm just putting it on the counter." You groaned when the box was taken from you. This shit was getting old already.

"Y'not allowed to lift over 15 pounds and y'do it anyways." He mumbled, irritated you weren't listening to the doctors.

"Just 'cause I'm pregnant doesn't mean I can't do stuff. Jesus, H. Calm down." You huffed, rolling your eyes as he sat the box down on the counter for you.

"Plus, that's not even 15 pounds!" You complained, hands flying in the air as you bitched about him constantly being overprotective.

"Want me t'go get the scale and prove to y'that it is?" He questioned, raising his eyebrows at you when he turned around.

Any argument you were ready to throw at him died the second the second you saw the paint across his face. You smiled brightly walking over to him.

"Got some on your face." You laughed trying to wipe away the semi wet paint off his forehead but ended up smudging it more. You tucked your lip between your teeth trying to suppress your smile.

"Yeh, well I was tryin' t'suprise ya but I can't leave y'alone fo' 10 minutes." He sighed, arms wrapping around you the best they could.

You quickly pulled away from him not wanting to get paint all over you. Nose wrinkling when he pulled you in tighter, swatting his chest.

"What's wrong, love? Scared 'f a little paint?" He smiled at you struggling to get away from him.

"Harry! I'm pregnant, leave me alone." You squirmed in his arms the closer his paint covered forehead got to yours.

"Oh, so now it's I'm pregnant but a second ago y'were yelling at me." He smiled wider the second your giggle left your lips.

You loved him so much.

"Duh, it's called hormones."

"Mhm" He hummed, giving you a kiss on the cheek.

"Besides, it's your fault I'm like this anyways." You finally broke free from his arms, turning away and heading towards the stairs. He was hot on your trail.

"It's not done! Y'can't see it yet!" He ran up the steps right behind you. You were just thankful you were still small enough to be able to run up the steps cause there was no way you weren't taking a peak at that room.

You threw open the door to the nursery, gasping the second you saw the bubblegum pink walls and dark hardwood floors. Your eyes filled with tears as you stepped further into the room, taking it all in.

"Thea said princesses have pink rooms. She helped pick out the color." He said leaning on the door frame nothing but smiles as he looked at you trying to contain all your emotions.

Which didn't happen because… hormones.

"I love it." You said with a sob, hands covering your mouth trying to stop being ridiculous but you couldn't help it.

"Awe, baby. It's okay to cry." He moved from the doorway, arm around your shoulder as you started to mentally plan where all the furniture would go.

"We've come a long way." He said, breaking you out of your thoughts and back to him.

"She better 'ave dried off." Harry sighed, turning his head to see Thea walk through the doorway.

"Thea, you got to dry off." Harry said sternly, he'd come a long way on the whole discipline thing but still had his moments when she could start fake crying and he'd break down.

He still hadn't eaten sushi.

You laughed when she ran over to hug you two. Both your pants now wet from where she laid up against.

"Okay, okay. Come on, time to help mom unpack the boxes." Harry said, taking her hand in his, trying to pull her out of the room before she touched any of the wet paint or got water all over the place.

"Dad, can we paint my room the same color?" She asked as they both walked out of the nursery and down the hallway.

"Only if y'promise to remember to dry off from now on. Momma can't slip right now or she'll hurt Baby Mia." You heard his retreating voice walk down the stairs and couldn't help the smile on your face.

You followed closely behind them. Closing the door with one last glance at the nursery. It'd been a long and tough road to getting yourself in a better place but as you heard them laughing downstairs together planning on where to put the things in your new home.

And you felt the new life you already loved so much kick in your stomach.

Hono - HA good luck trying to escape him if you’re bold enough to try and tickle him. Hono is actually pretty easy to sneak up on if you’re extra cautious, since he partially deaf in one ear he’s super vigilant nearly all the time so his guard is often up. Hono himself isn’t actually ticklish anymore, used to be when he was a kid, depending on who tries to tickle him he’ll either just stare with a ‘the fuck?’ look or chase them away angrily 

Taiho - His skin is pretty tough due to his quirk cannonball, so the only places he’s really ticklish are behind his ears or under his arms, try to tickle him anywhere else and he’ll sorta tense up for a moment before relaxing

Chikara - She says she’s not ticklisj, but she’s wrong. Very very wrong. It’s open game when it comes to tickling her, she’s ticklish pretty much everywhere. When she senses a tickle attack she gives a warning scowl and then flees 

Suru - Like Powerloader her ears and neck are sensitive, hence when she often wears a jumper over her work overalls and has her hair down to cover it, she’s smart like that but Hono always seems to catch her off guard when she thinks she’s safe.

10, Fears/Phobias 

Powerloader/Higari - Honestly not sure what he’d be afraid off but first thing that came to mind was seeing others he cares for get hurt. Powerloader is a rugged man, often giving close friends playful shoulder punches and playful teasing as his signs of affection, but I imagine if anything seriously bad happened to anyone he was close to (say like they ended up in hospital or something) he’d be devastated. I feel like a small part of him would feel especially protective of Ectoplasm and Haiya, he KNOWS they can care for themselves and the two are far from defenseless (Ectoplasm more then Haiya), but after being with Ectoplasm when he lost his legs and all through his recovery, I imagine he’s quite anxious about keeping loved ones safe. He doesn’t really talk about it since he thinks it’s a silly worry, but he can’t help it sometimes

Hono - Surprisingly he’s got quite a few fears despite the tough act he puts up. Ever since the explosion incident that caused his scar he can get startled at loud noises. When using his quirk he can at least prepare himself for the loud noise, if he doesn’t know when a loud noise is coming he can jump up and throw his arms up defensively. He’s also really scared of loosing anymore family, hence why he was quite blunt and rude when he first met Ectoplasm. Desite the act Hono does deeply miss his big brother Higari, but he’d never admit it. He totally didn’t nearly cry when he saw Powerloader on the news one time during a rescue mission in the city saying he’d been severely injured 

Taiho - Haircuts. He and Higari hate hate HATE going to the hairdressers. They have to get a lot of persuasion just to go for a light trim. Taiho hates hairdressers due to an incident that happened when he was six, he was in his fathers garage and had accidentally lent on some machinery that caused a part of his hair to fry off, so his parents took him to have his hair cut so that it wouldn’t be as obvious, but the whole experience was scarring for him. Anyone comes near him with hair scissors he’s backing up against a wall-

Chikara - She’s actually really scared of water. As a kid she used to go swimming in a spring with her parents, but the idea of swimming in the ocean, where there are predators bigger then there house?? No no no. No thanks. She’ll pass. If they ever go to a beach she’s usually sitting up on the sand or lightly paddling by the edge of the water - probably wouldn’t set foot on a beach for months if she saw Jaws or Sharknado 

Suru - To her siblings shock she has no fears, nothing seems to phase her, which everyone kinda finds funny in a way as she’s the youngest

13, What gets them flustered

Powerloader/Higari - I don’t imagine it’s easy to him flustered, unless you’re Ectoplasm of course. Powerloader is a rugged flirt and has zero shame, no problem getting his boyfriend all flustered, he’s a sneaky weasel. Ectoplasm flirts are usually very dorky, sweet and innocent, purely wholesome domestic stuff and it does make Powerloader a little giddy. However when Ectoplasm is the one giving out rugged flirts and shamelessly whispering stuff to Higari when he’ trying to work Powerloader is RED. Of course if he ever tells anyone this Ectoplasm acts as though he has no idea what Powerloader is on about, and everyone thinks Powerloader is just overreacting. A wink and a rare smirk from Ecto and Powerloader is going to be struggling to keep his focus on work.

Hono - Cliche to his grumpy character, but super sweet and domestic stuff with him makes his heart sour. Someone running their hands through his hair is one way to get him all grumpy and red, and it also luls him to sleep. Petnames also throw his off guard because he’s never had anyone outside of family call him by them. He gets angry flustered, shocker, so he often barks something rude when embarrassed and storms off with his hands in his pockets 

Taiho - Taiho does all the paperwork and stuff for the home with the business and that can get him pretty worn out, honestly a good hug and a kiss is enough to have him smiling till the end of the day. He’s a cuddly guy so he’s all for physical affection!

Chikara - Chikara herself is a pretty smug flirty bird, she’s got no issue flirting with people she likes (probably jokingly hit on Ectoplasm the first time they met to get on Powerloaders nerves, which worked. Powerloader was glued to Ecto for the rest of the visit-). If someone flirts back with her it’s rare she’ll get flustered by it. If someone is genuinely complimenting her with nothing but pure honesty, that gets her all starry eyed. Soft intimate moments is what she loves, she finds hand holding in particular very sweet 

Suru - Suru on the whole is pretty oblivious about love and such since she’s only really been focused on helping out with the family business, shes very passionate about inventing though so finding someone with the same love for creating as her gets her happy flustered

17, Regrets 

Powerloader/Higari - Again not really sure what regrets he’d have since he seems like the type of person to not open up easily, even with family and close friends. Perhaps he could feel some sort of guilt towards Ectoplasm’s injured legs? Thinking maybe if he had been there with him that day Ectoplasm wouldn’t have had to go through so much. And writting to his family, one of the factors with Powerloader and his families story is that Powerloader couldn’t write as often as he would have liked. Life in the city was busy, and it got busier when he helped Ectoplasm through his recovery, when he started teaching at UA and modifying hero suits, and more so when Haiya came into the picture. Now days he’s much better at keeping to a writing schedule, he sends a letter home to his family twice every month.

Hono - Regrets?? Hono? HA! He has none, duh, he’s got nothin’ to be regretful for. So what if he feels bad for the way he’s treated Powerloader?? So what if he feels so angry with himself because he doesn’t know how to say sorry?? So what if he feels like an idiot for ruining the families bond with him?? So what if he feels bad he didn’t tell Higari he loved him enough?? So what if he feels guilt for all the trouble he caused their family back when he was younger?? No regrets here. Nope.

Taiho/Chikara - they both share the same regret in letting Hono get to how he is today. They feel as though if they had spoken up in the past or had tried harder to get him and Higari to make up things between them wouldn’t be so tense.

Suru - She feels bad she couldn’t help out a lot back when things took a turn for the worst with their family. She wasn’t even born when their father passed away, and so tries to make up for that by dedicating her life to inventing/engineering in hopes she can help the family make money

Chapter two

For the next few days were hell for Anne. She couldn’t sleep at night because all she could see was her daughter’s dead body and when she did sleep, it was just for a few hours until it was morning and during that time Bucky never left her side even though she always told him that he didn’t need to “Sorry Doll, but someone needs to look after you.” Bucky always told her to go back to sleep but Anne would never listen and texted Jean to check on her daughter. It was not until the 5th day that Dr Cho came back to their floor, Anne and Bucky took a seat while Dr Cho opened the envelope. The first results were of her daughter and she was negative “Thank God” both Anne and Bucky said softly, then it was Bucky’s and he too was negative, “Well duh, I’m a super soldier” Bucky expressed as he gave Anne a smug looked, “Suck it Buck” Anne responded as she shook her head. While they were talking to each other, nobody noticed that Dr Cho went pale a bit and was almost in tears when she saw Anne’s results. When they did look at her again, with one look they both knew, “No, please no….” Anne uttered and almost collapsing to the floor, “I am so sorry, I wish it was an error” Bucky put his arms around her and she jumped away from his embrace. “What the fuck are you doing, I will not allow you to get it as well” before Bucky could utter a word, Dr Cho spoke up “ No need to worry, Dr Bruce Banner and I tested Steve’s and Bucky’s blood and it shows that viurs stays clear from them, so Bucky can you come over to my lab later so can extract some more of you blood so we can help the WHO with creating a vaccine for the virus.” Bucky assured Dr Cho that he would go to her lab in a few before she had to leave and after she did left, he carried Anne back to room and gave her some meds that Dr Cho left for her so she can get some rest and stayed with her until she was asleep and quickly went to the lab.

Steve and Bucky almost passed out due to trying to give all of their blood to help out, and especially to help out Anne, until Dr Cho and Pepper put their foot down saying “Being out cold like idiots will not help Anne or anyone else.” That knocked some sense back to Bucky as he made clear that he will be by Anne’s side until she gets better, and of course Anne was laughing hard when she saw Dr Cho and Pepper smacking Bucky’s and Steve’s heads with bats that Nat bought for them so they don’t hurt their hands.

Anne’s symptoms were not that bad, at first, then she started to feel weak and then she was starting to feel that she had a fever, cough, sore throat, headache, muscle pain and, sadly to Bucky, she lost the sense of taste but during all that, Bucky stayed with her and made sure that she will taken care of and even though she couldn’t taste his food, he made the best and he made sure that she ate everything that he made for her. On the 3rd night after her positive result, Anne and Bucky were watching some Disney movies when she got up suddenly “What’s wrong Doll?” Bucky stopped the movie and got out to check on her “ I….. I can’t breath….” but before she or he could do anything, she passed out and Bucky caught her in time and ran the elevator and told Friday to alert Dr Cho and Banner and he rushed to reach the lab and praying to God that she lives. 

“I hoped that she wouldn’t get this, we made sure to be prepared just in case” Dr Cho said and Bucky put Anne on the bed and Banner began to hook her up on the ventilator. “Please doc, tell me that you can save her, please” “Don’t worry Bucky, with your’s and Stevie’s blood, we were able to make some kind of a cure, we still not sure if will work but Anne did say that she would definitely like to receive it once it's ready.” “ And when will that be, please tell me that’s it's ready?” “Unfortunately it will take a little more time.” “ But she doesn't have a lot of time left, look at her.” he pointed at her in the bed “ I understand but we still need to make a little more adjustments and make some more trials before it's approved for humans.” “ Yeh, and by then she will be gone” and before anyone else said anything, Bucky left the lab, trying to hold his tears in. Dr Cho to Anne’s side and holds her hand, “I know you will pull out of it but you need to not give up now, you baby and Bucky are waiting for you to get better.” 

Bucky couldn’t sleep that night so he said a prayer and went back to the lab to be by Anne’s side and it was decided that Anne’s daughter Bianca won’t find out that her mom has Covid and that she is in a coma. So Bucky can take care of himself, Steve, Nat, and everyone else in the compound almost kick Bucky out of the lab so he could get some rest and to take care of himself so he won’t be in a bed next to Anne. Even though he would not admit it but he had a crush on Anne since the 1st day she came and what very nervous on tell her his feeling, but one night he swore that his she makes it, that he will tell her everything and make sure that she will know love and that Bianca will be in a loving house.
