i hope everyone who preaches about how the only way to enjoy fandom spaces (especially in this fandom) is by strictly abiding by canon interpretations and thinks everyone else is ruining fandom spaces remembers that uwu baby cutesy dream is not in fact fanon but very much so how dream is canonically portrayed so if you want to stick strictly to canon and villainize fanon you’re gonna have to make that guy fucking insufferable and infantilized to hell and back sorry. it’s canon and if you do anything else you don’t actually deserve to be in the fandom that’s just how it works i guess

Shout-out to Sebastian Stan's face for not only being unrealistically, ridiculously beautiful and pretty, but also being award-winningly good at emoting, like that's a five star face right there ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm honestly baffled that people haven't figured this out already.
I matched with a cute girl on Hinge and I'm honestly wondering whether or not I should just unmatch with her because she rambled on about "trying to figure out a (former university) professor's Harry Potter house" for about fifteen straight minutes.
I had to hold myself back from mentioning how the HP franchise is little more than bottom-of-the-barrel nostalgia cringe at this point, and how people who are genuinely still into it (even a little) should probably reconsider all the trans people who get indirectly hurt by this.
I haven't purchased a HP item in close to a decade - I use the books I already had as doorstops or to prop a laptop up for meetings nowadays.
There is NO "death of the author" with JK Rowling - she controls and continues to profit from her IP, and uses that money to fund hate groups.

There are several countries that, when people say they are from them, it's like an immediate pounding on my panic button. I'm well aware that basically no one I know in real life, or online for that matter, gives a shit when I get hysterical about any political problems, let alone ones that occur outside of the United States, but as someone found out tonight, yeah, saying you're Venezuelan is a sucker punch to that panic button.

Hey now. That was the Oregon Highway Department, not the US Forest Service. Let’s give credit where it’s due, people.

Apollo's perception of Lester changing over the course of the series drives me absolutely nuts because it's one of the most emotionally impactful arcs in his character.
He see's Lester as a prison sentence initially. He's the husk that Zeus made of Apollo when he stripped him of his immortality, his domains, and his memory. Not a single thing about the mortal body he's placed in was his choice and he resents it. Apollo even refers to Lester as a distinctly separate entity at times. There is a clear disconnect between what he views as himself and his punishment, and the only times he acknowledges it as his identity is to be self-deprecating or dismissive.
Then halfway through his arc, at the lowest points in the narrative where he's lost nearly all of his abilities, he spirals into self doubt. Maybe this was all he really was. Maybe without the support of his powers and domains, this was all there is to Phoebus Apollo. He's accepting Lester's negative traits as apart of himself, vocalizing his fear of being useless and unworthy of godhood to the readers. While the first portion of the series developed Apollo's character in terms of him accepting responsibility, The Burning Maze is when Apollo's most significant internal changes take place.
He stops lying constantly in his narration by this point, and we get to see how he actually feels about himself and others. What he was hiding from the readers - most notably, was his feelings of inadequacy.
But by the end of the series, once he's rightfully Apollo again, he admits to us that it doesn't feel right. He suddenly realizes that he does miss being Lester; that the godly form he's wearing doesn't fit like he once thought it did. Despite the trauma surrounding his trials, being Lester was the first time Apollo was able to be authentically himself without fear of needing to put on a mask. He was braver, kinder, and more beloved when he wasn't putting distance between himself and others.
Because that's the person he wants to be.
That's the real him, Lester Papadopoulos.

im sorry to be such a lame bitch but that AI generated photo of inho and gihun kissing pisses me off so bad😭 like why has everybody abandoned their anti-AI stance all of a sudden???
i understand the magnetism of old man yaoi, but there are so many amazing artists in this fandom- we do not need to resort to such crude, harmful measures to obtain content!!!!

Well, yeah, some applications that would benefit society-at-large are immediately apparent. I could end terrorism too.
But I can see this, very quickly, turning into a "I would use this ring out of a desire to do good, but through me it would work great evil" kind of a situation. What's to stop me from picking out the hottest guy I have met and forcing him to fall in love with me? Is he a Christian? He is now. Or if I suspect someone of a crime and they decide they must've done it and go confess? What if I was wrong?
Too much potential for abuse. It'd be one of those Death Note situations where you start out with such tiny little steps that are only kinda-sorta bad, but they have such good outcomes and before you know it you've killed people and you don't even remember all their names... Only winning move is not to play at all.
And dreams isn't necessarily useless. I can see that being just as dangerous as thought-control if you're good at it. You could pull Inception-style corporate espionage heists with no physical evidence. Give somebody nightmares. Make them dream of hating someone so much that they soon start hating them IRL. Or make them fall in love with someone you picked out for them.
Controlling dreams is basically the same as thought control, but limited to when the person is asleep. The effects would be harder to control and take longer to kick in, but it would also be more subtle and probably harder to detect.
You discover that you have control over a certain thing, as determined by spinning this wheel. We're talking full-on magical girl/superhero/supervillain/your label of choice control.
