I like the ships a lot. It’s just fun and chaos. I can’t take it 100% seriously, though, and I wouldn’t say it is a pure crackship either. Maybe something weird in between. A very funny part is the irony of it. People hate Naomi/Raye, even though the worst thing Raye did is some sexist remarks. B is straight-up a murderer, yet he is somehow considered to be the better alternative.

I don’t ship them, and honestly, I have little to say about this ship since I’ve barely encountered any fan content for it. Maybe there are scenarios in which I would enjoy it? Idk. Maybe a Mello corruption arc, where he joins Light as Kira or something.

Hmm, I'm not into ridiculous crackship tbh, but lxsoichiro never fail to make me laugh a little. god, imagine light's reaction! it's just really funny, even though i tried to read a fic of them once but it makes me v uncomfy lmao. i just love the idea of dilf loving L having more chemistry with soichiro than my (arguably) 2nd fav ship, lightxnear. speaking of dilf lover, mello is canonically one of them and this one time he use a flirty tone on mogi makes me think they would be pretty funny too

If you haven’t been asked yet, what do you think of successor arc Mello x Light and/or Naomi x L?

Hi anon! I did answer for LightxMello and LxNaomi previously, and in both cases I said it's not that I have anything huge against them, but that neither one is really my personal taste. Naomi is just a character I enjoy more outside of shippy contexts; and though I could see Light and Mello as potentially interesting together if they were characterized really well and the scenario they met in made sense (meaning probably not the canon one), I usually just don't like the way their personalities bounce off each other in most of the shippy content I have seen for them thus far. I actually have way more interest in Light and Near as a potential thing, tbh! I thought their chemistry in the manga were very interesting and has curious potential for a deeper connection of some kind... Near talked more boldly and deeply to Light than most of the other characters ever did, and it was really interesting to me to see him cutting through all of Light's bullshitting like that. I have also come to realize that most DN ships are almost always ships I prefer exclusively in AUs as well, because the Kira case circumstances make it so hard for me to actually root for any of them hooking up and getting into relationships with each other for real. Especially when it comes to anything happening between Light and the Wammy's crew! I think their canon dynamics are really great already, and wouldn't want to change that, but it's always fun for me to imagine how they might interact more personally in divergent circumstances or AUs.
