We made these #waterbead #sensorybottles in #primary and #secondary #colors. The children loved the #vibrant colors and how the #waterbeads #interacted with the colors of the #lights. The children also loved #building with #transparent #colored #windowblocks. Some #sorted the gems by color or shape and #contained them in different #glowing #circles, others made patterns, and some #experimented with #stacking the different shapes into #talltowers. #lightcurriculum #themateriallife #earlylearning101

As #teachers we often need to think on our feet. The shared #lighttable was nowhere to be found with children arriving soon, so we improvised and decided to put #salt #gems and #stirers on #lazySusan's surrounded by #stringlights. Our younger group of children absolutely loved being able to #manipulate not only the salt, but the lazy Susan as well. There was a look of #wonderment when the first child #discovered that she could make it turn round and round 😃 #lightcurriculum #themateriallife #weteach #4groupsofchildren #earlylearning101
