Pelipper mail! Two packages appear! One is wrapped in a thick pink ribbon and has a tag reading "To: Roxie" in neat, angular handwriting. The second is smaller and sports wrapping paper patterned with Galarian Weezings and a tag reading "Roxie" in light, flowing handwriting.

The first box contains multiple objects. The first is a choker in dark purple and yellow, studded with paler purple spikes like the bumps around a Toxtricity's wrists. The next is a small plush toy Toxel, the electricity on its head being made of a shiny material the crinkles when rubbed and the rest being deceptively soft to the touch for its looks. The box also contains a mixed bundle of fresh berries- multiple Shuca berries, Pecha berries, and Cherri berries tied together with their own pink ribbon. At the very bottom of the box is a plastic sleeve containing what seems to be a piece of cardboard. Removing it from the protective sleeve reveals a fairly convincing mock league card- it uses a picture of Roxie onstage at her tour's Ballonlea performance, lit up by spotlights and belting lyrics. It sports the Galar league's poison type style border, a large number "157" in the corner, and an iridescent foil finish. On the back of the card are small graphics portraying the team of pokemon she listed to Bede earlier- Amoonguss, Garbodor, Seviper, Drapion, Crobat, and Scolipede- as well as a large picture of a Toxic Badge. At the top is a small blurb: "Roxie, esteemed Gym Leader of Virbank City Gym in Unova. A poison type trainer, fierce battler, and interregionally renowned musician." It seems Bede hasn't exactly gotten the hang of the flowery and sensationalized descriptions on official league cards. On top of the box is a card, sporting Bede's signature. The lines are straight and neat, although it looks like they've been erased and redone multiple times in an attempt to make them perfect. The card reads "I seem to remember you expressing a desire for a 'cool custom card' in the past. I expect this will suffice, but if not, I've no doubt that you'll find the other gifts suitable in their own right~"

the second box is much smaller, and only contains one item: A pair of large earrings. they depict two Koffings made out of polymer clay dangling from silver chains. The earrings come with a note in flowy cursive: "Ms. Roxie, I was delighted to hear that Bede had decided to invite you over for our Delibird Day festivities. I meant to bring up the idea to him myself, you know, but he set his mind on it before I even had the chance to. I do appreciate you offering that boy your friendship... I like to think you've got him slipping out of his Torkoal shell more and more by the day. Enclosed you'll find some of my old earrings. now, I hope you don't mind getting some old woman's hand-me-downs, but I think they've about run their course with me, and they just cried out to me that they'd like to be with you. I do hope that they'll serve you well, and that you'll continue being so refreshingly, unapologetically 'you' in the new year to come. The world needs more trainers like you... and not just poison type trainers made my job so much more interesting, hm-hm! Best regards, Ms. Opal"

(*A wide grin adorns Roxie's face as they accept the two packages and excitedly plop onto the floor to open them, much like a kid on Delibird Day morning. She chooses to open the package wrapped in a pink ribbon first, undoing the mentioned ribbon, and practically tearing off the lid.*)

(*Roxie's grin widens even further, if that's even possible, eyes lighting up as he picks up the first item. She admires the Toxtricity inspired choker for several heartbeats before immediately clasping it around her neck, continuing on with the gift-opening seconds after.*)

(*They grab the Toxel plush, giving it an experimental squeeze. Once deemed soft and squishy enough, Roxie sets it on their lap to observe her going for the bundle of berries still inside the box. Although she'll likely give the rest to her Pokémon, she can't help but take one for herself and shove it in her mouth.*)

(*While chewing the sweet Pecha berry, Roxie almost misses the last item sitting on the bottom of the gift box. With a quick wipe of their hands on her pants, she gently picks up the protected cardboard. Their brow furrows slightly in confusion, only for them to immediately raise in surprise as soon as the mock league card is revealed. An excited gasp leaves his lips, bringing it closer to their face to admire it. Roxie's fingernail, painted with chipped purple, traces the front of the card as she takes in every detail. Once done, she flips it around to reveal even more. Assuming the small paragraph to be written by Bede himself, Roxie feels her chest swell with warmth.*)

(*Blue eyes drift back to the discarded lid, discovering that there's a card attached to it that she should probably read. An affectionate chuckle leaves their lips, setting the card down a bit nicer than before.*)

(*Now time for the second, smaller box. Roxie doesn't waste much time opening it of course, revealing a pair of Koffing shaped earrings... In true Roxie fashion, he's taking the earrings he already had in out of her ears and putting in her new pair. After admiring themself in the nearest reflective surface, they turn their attention to the note that had come with the earrings.*)

(*Whilst reading the flowy writing, Roxie's wide smile fades into something softer... Her fingers grip the note a little tighter as they feel their face getting hot with flattery and appreciation. And if her eyes got a bit misty, well that's something she'll keep to herself. With only a few breaths to let the nice words of both Bede and Opal sink in, she launches themself from the floor to begin writing thank you notes.*)

i think about this every day of my life.

LEO/NEED-

Most of Leo/need's partners are simply companions- Ichika and Shiho know a bit of battling, and Honami has been gettng better at it, but they're really just in it for the friends! Saki does love watching Pokemon Contests though (especially her brother's :)) Also lore wise I think they have encountered Jirachi before. (It fits so well... starry wishes...)

Ichika- she inhereted the family Maractus after taking such good care of it as a kid. Maractus loves to dance along while Ichi is practicing rhythm guitar! Almost like a spiky metronome haha. I can also see her with a Furrett, but I don't have a reasoning other than vibes.

Saki- her partner all through childhood is a yellow Minior! A fragile yet beautiful star glowing through the night :) Minior doesn't battle but it is a good friend!!!! I also think Saki would really like Pancham for some reason. All of her pokemon have nicknames, and now all of Leo/need's do to.

Honami- I don't know what to tell you Appletun was literally made for this girl. It follows her around to her housekeeping jobs and helps make really sweet apple dishes! There was also a Grookey she encountered often in elementary school but never had the courage to catch. The pair reunited a bit after the formation of Leo/need, and officially became part of the team! Grookey quickly evolved into Rillaboom (she really likes playing drums with Hona). Honami's mother has a Blissey, who sometimes goes with Honami to housekeeping jobs as well! (Blissey really likes Kanade)

Shiho- her first Pokemon was a Toxel that she absolutely adores. Toxel evolved into a Low-Key Toxtricity around middle school! People are a bit intimidated by him, but it's mostly just a front. Toxicity is a very protective Pokemon and the strongest battler in Leo/need. She also has a Bunneary that is very near and dear to her. Pampered little princess. Nobody at school knows Bunneary exists. She also takes care of the family Kantonian Vulpix, the little sister of Shizuku's Alolan one!

MORE MORE JUMP

Pokemon Performers! Probably more of the Kalosian variety than Hoenn/Sinnoh, focused on the true performance of it over any sort of battling. Similar to the main story, in which Haruka, Airi, and Shizuku are all popular but disillusioned celebrities who meet Minori, a hopeful fan who dreams of being an idol, too. They reignite their dreams through the Power of Friendship.

Minori- her first partner was an Eevee! The two of them would watch Haruka's performances and try and replicate them constantly. Eevee doesn't ever want to evolve and Minori completely supports that. Just because Eevee is a normal type first evolution doesn't mean it can't pack a punch! She also has a very very energetic Yamper. It's more of a family pet than a true partner pokemon, but she loves it just the same! I also think Minori would have a Tatsugiri but I cannot figure out lore reasoning why. I think she just would.

Haruka- Haruka is SOOOO Prinplup coded like I do not know what else to say. Piplup was her starter that she absolutely ADORED. Thinks it's the cutest thing ever. Prinplup was there for her during her lowest moments and has always been a responsible, guiding light. Haruka has since also caught an Eiscue.

Airi- Personally, I choose to believe allergies do not exist in the Pokemon world because it would be heartbreaking to not be able to pet all of them (all of them). Also so Airi can have a Skitty!!! Skitty is a spunky thing that has great performance chemistry with Airi! They were popular on variety shows since Skitty is so dang cute. Ever since joining MMJ, Airi has been working with Skitty on learning to battle (for real, not scripted like the past).

Shizuku- Her family had an Alolan Vulpix that became her partner at a young age. The agency made her evolve it into a Ninetales "to better fit her image", even though Ninetales wasn't quite ready to do so. Still, Ninetales is really happy to be around Shizuku and often helps make sure she doesn't get lost. Shizuku loves pokemon a whole ton, but was only allowed to have one partner with her old group. After becoming part of MMJ, she catches a Slowpoke because she thinks its really cute. (Airi finds this fitting.) She's also caught a Feebas that evolved into Milotic!

VIVID BAD SQUAD

VBS are all battle trainers! Singing is still all their main passion, but hey! Why not have some pokemon battles there too? Vivid Street has a huge music and battle culture because of it. Since a lot of VBS's story centers on partnership, they each only have one main partner pokemon, but still work best within a team setting. They often do double battles!

Kohane- MORPEKO. SHE IS MORPEKO. innocent yet menacing hampster creatures.... there is nothing else more to say here. It is correct. (Count Pearl is her dad's Ekans who Kohane loves very much and everyone else is terrified by, btw)

An- she would do well with a Luxio! An would absolutely be an electric type trainer, and Luxio just seems like a good fit :) She grew up with Shinx, a gift from her father, and he evolved into a Luxio sometime around middle school? Luxio's the type to get An out of her own head when she starts feeling insecure about her own abilities. Also An puts little star clips on him during performances.

Akito- he chose Scorbunny as his starter, and the two loved playing soccer together! Scorbunny really loves being on the stage, even if it wasn't the best performer at first. Scorbunny has always stuck by Akito's side, no matter what. Scorbunny evolved into Raboot a bit before VBS formed, but after meeting Toya. It then evolved into Cinderace during the (equivalent) events of Burn my Soul!

Toya- he was raised alongside a supportive yet quiet Riolu. Since the Riolu line is able to read emotion, Riolu was often the one to realize Toya's own feelings before he could. Riolu, with Tsukasa's help, was the one to push Toya to leave classical music behind. Since meeting Akito, Riolu has evolved into a formidable Lucario. (It's a secret, but Souma has been trying to track down a Lucarionite for him...)

WONDERLANDS X SHOWTIME

Wondershow are all Pokemon Performers! Tsukasa started because he saw how much they made Saki smile (even though he could never get past the appeals round, he kept trying). Emu loves the energy, and since her family sponsored most competitions, she could compete often! Her style is very. wonderhoy. Nene wanted to be a performer, but after an embarrassing mistake in her childhood, gave up on that dream. Rui was banned from most competitions for "too dangerous of combinations" so often performed on streets (this doesn't go well). The four end up banding together to perform as a unit!

Tsukasa- It's a bit of an unconventional take, but- Ampharos! Tsukasa has always been a guiding light to those around him, so why not the Light Pokemon herself? Ampharos is equally confident and dramatic as her partner. They make a good team. Despite all his pegasus-ness, he does not actually have a Ponyta or Rapidash. He does like them a lot, though.

Emu- she sooooo has a Tinkaton. Small pink thing massive hammer complete life satisfaction. I'm also giving her a Stufful because I love Bewear and I love Emu, and because pink thing that is a menace.

Nene- her starter pokemon was a Popplio! Popplio is a lot more outgoing than Nene and tries his best to get Nene more comfortable in social situations. Popplio evolved into Brionne a bit before the fated show, but after her and Rui drifted apart. Brionne then evolved into Primarina after the Little Mermaid show. Instead of Robonene, Rui had created Magearna for Nene. Magearna acts as Nene's own personal protector, which she finds very sweet. She tries not to think about the implications of Rui creating an actual living pokemon in his garage for her.

Rui- his partner has always been a Rotom- a mischievous little thing! Rotom helps out with Rui's inventions, and is a great help for shows. It was really just them two for a very long time- though Rui absolutely adores everything there is about Pokemon, he doesn't really think any wild pokemon would really want to be his partner (other than Rotom). Rui does end up befreinding and eventually catching the lonely Gengar haunting the Wonder Stage. (Emu adores Gengar btw). He's also taken a liking to the back alley Sprigatito...

NIGHTCORD AT 25:00

Nightcord is still just Nightcord here! Mafuyu is still expected by her mother to be a human doctor, but deep down she really wants to be a Pokemon nurse, even if she doesn't quite realize it herself. K is still a musician with pokemon to support her, Ena is still a struggling artist who now has a partner by her side, and Mizuki is still Mizuki! They don't perform or battle.

Kanade- She has an Audino that helps take care of her! Audino is incredibly patient and makes sure Kanade is eating and resting (decently) enough, and sometimes helps compose or inspire melodies. I also think her mother had a Shaymin, who she inherited upon her passing.

Mafuyu- Mafuyu didn't have a pokemon partner growing up ("too much of a distraction from your studies!", "pokemon battling isn't a real profession, it's much better for you to be a doctor", the likes). However, since meeting n25, she's secretly gained a Galarian Cursola, a Froslass, a Trevenant, and a Hisuian Zoroark. She is an absolutely terrifying battle opponent. (Later on, Kanade gives her a Happiny egg from Honami's Blissey, totally not sparking some sort of nurse-aspiring reaciton...)

Ena- SMEARGLE. NORMAL TYPE ARTIST POKEMON. Smeargle definitely paints right alongside Ena! Smeargle is super sassy and an absolute pain to deal with. They get along quite well. Having each other inspires the other to keep painting, keep going, keep getting better. They respect each other a great deal.

Mizuki- their first Pokemon was an Eevee, a gift from Yuuki! They loved brushing it's fur and making it all soft and fluffy. Eevee chose to evolve into a Sylveon during Mizuki's second year of middle school. Around their first year of middle school, Mizuki encountered a male Raltz, who later evolved into a Kirlia. Everyone expects Kirlia to evolve into a Gallade one day, but he secretly dreams of becoming a Gardevoir. One day....

VIRTUAL SINGERS

Miku- Pikachu on account of the mascot, Arceus on account of the versatility and legendary status, and Porygon on account of the computer!

Len and Rin- Plusle Minun! I've drawn this.

Luka- Honestly, I can so see her with a Togekiss. She has such fairy type trainer vibes.

MEIKO- Houndoom! Specifically one that mega evolves.

KAITO- Vanilluxe. easy choice.

i had a punkrockchaiflower pokemon au started on my first account {rest in piece, fallen ✊🏽} and in bitterness of starting school again in two days and having to constantly remake this account, here’s stuff that never got to see the light of tumblr’s cursed day✨

Miguel has a Scolipede he trained from a Venipede and encountered MissingNo

MissingNo is responsible for the death of Miguel’s first pokemon, which was also a Scolipede he had grown up with and raised {the one he has now was born from an egg of the original Scolipede}

Lyla was a human with a Rotom and Beeheeyem but also died due to electric shock

Miguel turned her into an AI and she has no idea she was ever alive

Hobie has a High-Key Toxtricity and Obstagoon along side a Purrloin and whenever he was asked about it all he responded with was “never let them know your next move” and then he disappears

Gwen’s Larvitar used to belong to her Peter but after he died she got ownership of it {yes i chose Larvitar for the reason your thinking, eheheh}

Pavitr’s Comfey made all of his friends flower lei’s a little bit after she met them and they all responded by giving her a flower in return

Every time the group sees a herd of Deerling passing by they point at it and say “Miles, look! it’s you”

Miles is not amused and threatens to put Joltik in Hobie’s bonnet every single time {hobie points it out the most}

Pavitr is physically the strongest in the group and has a habit of picking up his friends when he hugs them

Especially Miles, he’ll rush at him if they’ve been separated {they were apart for five minutes to buy supplies} and spin him around in a hug before clinging to him for a few minutes

Gwen and Hobie are smitten each time it happens and take pictures

parasect- looks like the giant mushroom buildings in newtopia, and it fits amphibia’s enviornment

Damn, why I haven't posted this earlier...

Anyhoo, last summer I designed a Fakémon based on ma boi 9-Volt inspired by 'Turning Video Game Characters into Pokémon' series by Truegreen7 on yt and recently it got featured in a video by UmbreonLibris '58 artists make Pokémon from the same prompt'

The name took a while to figure out but I love how multi-layered it ended up being (the 'original' Japanese name is Funyaboruto, combination of fun, fuwafuwa (onomatopoeia for a soft light fluffy thing), nya (Japanese 'meow' equivalent), bolt and the romanization of the Japanese pronunciation of 9-Volt's name (Nainboruto))

The shiny is based on 9-Volt's pal, 18-Volt, of course!

I'm also planning on making some additional artwork of Flurizzkit attacking with its 'yo-yo' stones and skating around on its hover board tail... And I've already done concept sketches for a counterpart mon based on Fronk with a fun additional symbiosis & fusing gimmick

If you haven't noticed, I took some inspiration from some of my fav Electric types (Shinx and Alolan Raichu) for this design (and Ampharos' glowing orb tail, I guess) I have a soft spot for Fakémon referencing official Pokes, I don't think it's entirely lazy, more like people mirroring real life species and convergent evolution

Flurizzkit's signature ability Bolt Beats works somewhat similar to Toxtricity's Punk Rock (boost to sound-based moves and immunity to any sound moves from opponents) except the boost multiplier is 2x (like Adaptability)

Because I'm clearly so very normal about the Cosplay Pikachu I've also decided to drag them into Pokemon Horizons and make my Horizon's S/I also very normal about them.

But in order to do that I had to think of backstories, personalities, professions, and character details about all of them. Because I'm so normal. About them. So here's all that.

Rock Star

Lead singer of an all Electric type rock band known as as The Asteroids, originally from Galar. The band consists of her, Toxtricity High-Key and Low-Key on Guitar and Bass respectively, Electivier on Keyboard/Synth, and Alex the human on Drums. Alex is also their manager and stage hand, he is not any of the band member's trainer. The band is currently looking for a Pokemon drummer. None of the band members have nicknames, though for some reason Kantonese fans commonly call Pikachu "Comet".

Belle

Also know as Lady Pikablue, Belle serves as the Master of Kalos' Battle Chateau and one of if not it's strongest residing Pokemon. Lady Pikablue may appear frail and sweet, but she is rather the force to be reckoned with. She is famous for her regal battling style and careful movements, she's never once torn a dress or even so much as lost her hat during a battle. Her calm gracious exterior has earned her many suitors, but she has famously turned them all down cold.

Pop Star

Previously a member of the idol group Chuu <3, Chu-Chu has sense started a solo career out of her home region of Hoenn. It's unclear if she simply had a falling out with her previous group or just got tired of sharing the spot light, but sense taking center stage Chu-Chu has been The Poke Idol of the moment, selling out venues and winning contests, all without a trainer at her side. She's still rather new on the idol scene, but it doesn't seem her fame will be petering out anytime soon.

PhD

In Kanto there is a famous Doctor who's work and study far exceeds what many other professionals would see as possible. Despite her Brutal honestly and Antisocial tendencies, this doctor has cracked case after case of medical mystery. This famously brilliant professor... Is a Pikachu?! Professor Pikachu is a hit Medical Drama television show staring famous Pikachu Actress, Terry Volt! Catch it live, New Episodes Wednesday night at 7pm!

Libre

Pika Libre appeared at the Battle Dome just a year after it's construction in the Alola region and challenged the Masked Royal directly in the middle of an on going match, and sense then has returned regularly to battle and climb the ranks to face the Masked Royal for the championship again and again. She's become a fan favorite amongst the locals, earning a larger, more dedicated crowed then any other challenger. She's best known for her extra flair and showmanship. No one knows where she goes when the match ends.

Please tell me about the deltarune pokemon au. I wanna know about the teams

apologies this took me a bit to put together, i have had a Night LOL

this started as just a thing i like to do for a lot of fandoms where i make a handful of pokemon teams for characters, but it’s kind of expanded into its own concept in my head now X) i’ve been watching a lot of pchal’s videos lately and so my image for a full project with this au would likely be a romhack but i doubt it’ll ever actually get made lmao

basically, you play as kris still in it. they’re beginning their journey as a pokemon trainer a couple years after their brother asriel left on his own. almost all of their party will depend on what the player catches, but they have a starter honedge (can fully evolve it) that you cannot remove from the party. honedge is a fun choice to me because it doubles as both the knife they have in the light world and their weapon being a sword in the dark world.

susie, ralsei, noelle, and berdly are rivals. the latter two are more of the professors assistant (professor is alphys probably) type rivals, though- berdly in particular would focus on filling up his pokédex and would brag about all the pokemon he’s caught. susie is your traditional asshole rival and ralsei your friendly one. the idea i have for noelle is that she is like… a walking glitch cause, lmao. i always loved watching pokemon glitch compilations when i was little and think its a really fun idea for her. it could start with small things- like, a scene in the school where the curtains turn black when she enters and go back to normal when she leaves, up until she starts getting some REALLY weird shit like the bad egg in her party. unsure what exactly the climax would be for that but i think it’ll be really fun to mess with haha

i think that each chapters main boss would be leaders of their own evil team. i could see it like… king leader of team spade and queen leader of team cyber, maybe? rouxls could be a team spade admin (and maybe lancer i initially didn’t think of that but the idea of there being a like 8 year old as an evil team admin makes me lose it) and swatch & tasque manager as team cyber admins. unfortunately being rouxls brained means i’ve thought quite a bit for him in this au lmao, i think it’d be funny if he was a former member of basically every evil team imaginable but just kept getting kicked out for being incompetent 😭

as for the teams, i currently have

kris with their starter honedge

susie with a final team of hydreigon, hydrapple, druddigon, tyrantrum, scrafty, and toxtricity. all funny lizards, lol. in particular, hydreigon was chosen for a few reasons- one, i’m biased because the deino line is one of my favorites, but also because the progression of deino and zweilous having their eyes covered, the whole ravenously hungry thing, and all that fit susie very well imo. hydrapple was also chosen specifically because of the whole apple thing she has with kris.

ralsei has an umbreon, absol, altaria, cacturne, comfey, and zoroark. i initially wanted to give him a mono dark team but felt altaria and comfey fit him better than my previous picks. umbreon is a cute dark type with a fluffy prevo, absol is a fluffy dark type and i feel that its whole omen of disaster thing fits nicely with ralsei delivering the prophecy, altaria is fluffy + the whole soothing song thing fits well with ralsei’s pacify spell, cacturne looks like his hat lol, comfey is a healer and has the flowers thing like that one fuckass fangamer shirt i think about constantly, and zoroark is fluffy and ralsei himself has his whole mimicry thing going on.

noelle has an alolan ninetales, sawsbuck winter form, venusaur, azumarill, kabutops, and mew. alolan ninetales was chosen because she needs at least one ice type lmao, sawsbuck because Winter Deer, venusaur because a lot of glitch Pokémon will default to using bulbasaur’s sprite due to it being first in the dex, azumarill both because of the transgender marill glitch and the pikablu rumors pre gsc, and kabutops because one of the sprites that missingno can use in gen 1 is a fossil resembling it, and mew because Mew Under The Truck. i really want her team to be mostly themed around glitch/playground runor stuff but i'm a bit worried that these picks aren’t that recognizable/don’t make as much sense for her because of that 😅

rouxls has a leavanny, vivillon (polar), frosmoth, larvesta, dunsparce, and orthworm. leavanny has the Sewing/Caretaker thing as well as being an early bug evo, vivillon polar form in particular looks like him and is an early bug (easy to get), frosmoth is shiny and is a friendship evo meaning it doesn’t take much effort to evolve, larvesta is little worm, dunsparce is worm adjacent and has the whole “useless silly thing” going on as well, and orthworm is big silly worm. i tried to only chose evolutions that wouldn’t require a lot of effort, which is why larvesta and dunsparce are both unevolved. additionally, i didn’t actually realize this til i was sharing the team with gummy and it pointed it out, but he has a couple friendship evos, which is just always fun when evil team members have those lol.

lancer has a gastly, spheal, voltorb, gible, galarian darumaka, and munchlax. silly and round….

the rest i don’t have full teams for yet, but have some sort of idea for

i want king to have a mono dark team, particularly of more imposing pokemon. i currently have him down with a pangoro, obstagoon, and tyranitar. i really want to give him a guzzlord but im unsure how to be able to justify him having an ultra beast in universe haha. maybe the fountains could be like ultra wormholes and each main boss could have one?

queen has an electivire because. wires lol. and also a tsareena because queen pokemon + kick attack + i like it a lot that’s always been one of my favs lol

swatch has a smeargle, staraptor, porygon 2, indeedee, and spritzee (thank you jay for helping me with the last one lol). i still feel like im struggling a bit to find a real direction for their team though :p

i think it would be funny if tasque manager had a team full of luxray but im unsure how much im willing to commit to it lol

in theory i want berdly to be a bird trainer, but he could also fit well with other pokemon like alakazam for his smart boy gimmick. unsure what direction to go for him as well

ah, also! i think it would be very funny if jevil, spamton, and any other secret bosses had their own weird mechanics for fights, but im unsure exactly what. my first thought was jevil’s fight locking you into hardcore nuzlocke rules and spamton trying to steal your pokemon throughout the fight but the first feels a bit too morbid and the second im unsure how that would actually work so XD will probably go for something different there lol. also reminds me, i think it would be fun for the shopkeepers to still be shopkeepers, and each sell different items like tms or held items used for competitive play!

Piers x Guitarist Reader

You were catching one of Piers' shows in Spikemuth, having a killer time. His music was just the crunchiest punk rock music in the Galar region and seeing his show in person is the highlight of your year! But when performing on stage, someone threw something at his Toxtricity, rendering them unconscious. The show stopped! Piers took a five minute break to see what they could do while someone got the pokemon to the nearest pokemon center. He came back with an electric guitar, got to his mic and asked the entire audience, "Yo anybody know how to play this?" Your friends started screaming your name, pushing you to the front while hollering your name. Piers noticed you and let security pass you through the fence and onto the stage.

Piers gives you a look, taking note of appearance. Dressed in gothic emo black and white, spiked ears and black lipstick, he saw you. "Do you know how to play?" before pointing the mic back to you. "Dude, I know all of your songs!" You exclaim back as you wear the strap of the electric guitar before tuning it. Piers' eyes widen, the corners of his lips twitching to a near smile before calling to the stage crew to come and get you a mic as well. "Well, what are you waiting for?!" he yells at you and to the crowd. "Play for us!" You start off the intro with one of his songs, "Demented Paranoia," the opening riff excites the whole crowd and Piers gets ready to sing, belting his heart out. It had been a while since he had an musician on stage, usually sticking with his team of Pokemon to be band members. He'd rather work with pleasing Pokemon than a group of members who couldn't agree with his music. But you? You knew every chord, every progression, every riff and even solo to his songs! Hell, you even could sing! You weren't some lightness to his dark side, you were the male Morticia Adams to his Gomez Adams. Piers knew better than to fall for a fan but he's completely enchanted by you. At the end of the concert, he demands the audience to clap for you, to which they cheer. With the concert looking like it's wrapping up, you were about to give Piers the guitar back and climb down the stage but with a beckon of his hand, he gestures for you to follow him backstage. "Hey listen," he says in a much cooler tone, away from the audience. "You did good out there kid. You saved my skin out there, coming on stage. You want to go for drinks sometime?" You were just about to answer him but the two of you hear the audience outside, demanding an encore. You take a swig of water and smile back at him, "How about after this last song?" He smirks and nods, taking you back to the stage, readying yourselves to rock everyone's world.
