I knew for Martyn that I wanted to feature his backpack in the illustration, since it's a very unique part of his skin - this big challenge that presented was making sure he was still recognizable and interesting, and that the clothes and styling were clear, while being in a back-facing pose. I think the jumping pose and over-the-shoulder head turn added fun dynamic movement to it that helped a lot!

This is so sweet oh my gosh?? Yes that's me!!

The project is a personal art zine I did called LifeStyle: A Life Series Fashion Zine, and as of now we're up to six posted so far of the eighteen illustrations (Cleo, Grian, Scar, Mumbo, Scott, and Gem). I try to post one every other day or every two days!

i believe their user is @/artbysconnor! i just found their account maybe 15 minutes ago? I LOVE THEIR ART. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. they have a super cool project going where they're releasing a life series member a day wearing an outfit from a specific high-end fashion brand and four have been released thus far- I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE THE REST!! amazing account, go check them out and follow them if you're not following them already!! <3

I know this is super random, but it's been on my mind and I must release it to the ether....

Haley Dunphy from Modern Family deserved better. Dylan did, too but for sure Haley. It's not even that they end up together, struggling with twins, it's that at one point the show set them up to move forward towards these great futures, separately, and then the show just forgot about Haley and her ambitions and moved her backwards for the sake of...I don't know, giving her her mother's life? It's so dumb. Haley, baby, I'm so sorry!

Tym razem mała wymiana. Ja byłem odpowiedzialny za tekst a @moshruu za "średnio mądrą i dobrą" grafikę. Jak ktoś chce fizyczną kopię to niech mi blikiem przeleje na znaczek i wyśle adres na mess.

We're officially halfway there!

Tango was a difficult one to do, and I actually went back and redid the lighting and shading on this piece multiple times. I'm still not sure if I'm happy with the way I rendered his jacket and vest, but I decided to practice a very important thing in art and decide that done is better than perfect, and that it would be okay.

I also knew from the start I wanted to use Valentino as his brand, and I also wanted to make sure to include a big bag of some kind as a reference to his redstone box in Hermitcraft. I like the idea of him running around with a big tote bag, pulling out random redstone bits from it while he works like an engineering Mary Poppins.

‘High Fashion’ (2008 - 2018) photo series and book by Patel Jaszczuk @pawel_jaszczuk Work on ‘High Fashion’ began in 2008 as a black-and-white photo zine titled Salaryman, the Japanese word for “businessman” that avoids all pretension to tell us what this line of work is really about: money. Jaszczuk is unsure as to why he started snapping these pictures, only that one night, as he cycled aimlessly around the city, he found the scenes compelling in some strange way. “I think it was simply curiosity, it was something I had never seen before,” he explains. “The contrast between this beautiful man wearing a suit, looking really sophisticated and chic, laying down on the street, on the asphalt.” Jaszczuk echoes the importance their uniforms – synonymous with power, status, enforcement, conformity and community – have in constructing the identities of these strangers, alluding to the book’s tongue-in-cheek title. “It looks like a high fashion [shoot], but it’s deeper,” he says. “It’s metaphorically called High Fashion because it’s the highest possible [in terms of] moral standing.” A push and pull between power and commerce, his muses play on the codes of his first photography gigs, glossy editorials now subverted with stiff and awkwardly outstretched limbs. Rather than engage in selling this lifestyle, his participants reveal parts of themselves in a way that’s entirely accidental, that they might hide if they knew what was really going on. - 10magazine.com
