I’m working full time, which is awesome, but has caused a big shift in how much time I have at home and how I spend it. The household, large and small, is making shifts as well to make sure tasks get done. Like laundry! Days like today and yesterday - cold, precipitation-filled, with little to go so out of doors - see a group effort in terms of keeping the dirty-to-clean laundry production line moving through our apartment-size washer/dryer unit. It is so awesome not being the only one doing laundry for multiple people! However, when tasks are shifting and some folks are inexperienced, mistakes get made. This mistake used to be my treasured plus size black wool tights. So SOFT, and so warm, and perfect for the dresses I am always wearing when it is a sub-zero New England day. And someone helpfully put them through the washer and dryer. To felt, wool needs these three elements: Heat, moisture, and agitation. The natural kinks of the strands of wool, with their microscopic scaled surfaces, interlock and cling more tightly together. A thicker, sturdier fabric is created. We purchased - Youngest insists “rescued” - this #succulent from #cvs for like $3 right after #christmas , and I stuck it on the kitchen windowsill, not really expecting it to make it for long. Instead, it has not only grown, but there are new little spikes #leaves in the middle! Two are big enough to be visible, but there are two others down deep in the center. As for the handless Playskool dude? Well, all our kitchen windowsill plants have little figurine friends. #LifeInBlisstopia
