Most kudos
(Schitt’s Creek) From Humble Beginnings again lol. These are actually like all the same over and over, so I’m gonna do the runners up if they’re repeats.
Runner-up: (9-1-1: Lone Star) Struck Down (carlos/tk, T) - The upside to getting punched so hard he got knocked on his ass is that TK gets to come home early to Carlos. But there’s also a downside: He has to come home early to Carlos....A 4x15 missing scene
Least kudos
Runner-up: (Schitt’s Creek) tender love and care (alexis/twyla, G) - When Twyla is sick, it's Alexis's turn to take care of her girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Rose Apothecary is struggling to stay afloat, and David Rose will do almost anything to keep it alive a bit longer, even if that involves spending time each week among splashing, screaming children.
~ ~ ~
A story about the journey of healing and finding solace in others as much as in oneself.
Least comments
(Schitt’s Creek) Runner-up: How I Missed You (david/patrick, T) - Patrick buys something that reminds him of David when Patrick's gone for a week, and David takes notice.

Least bookmarks
Runner-up (Schitt’s Creek) Conference Companions (patrick & ronnie & ray) - After a tedious morning of driving, Ronnie arrives at the hotel. She steps through the automatic doors into the lobby and heads toward the check-in counter, ready to fully enjoy her long weekend. That’s when she sees them. She slides her sunglasses down her nose to be sure her mind isn’t playing tricks on her. “Oh fuck no."
. . .OR
Ronnie's conference plans are promptly derailed when she discovers Ray and Patrick are there, too.
Most words
Undertow of course, but runner-up: (Schitt’s Creek) Spirit of the Season (david/patrick, T) - Patrick just got a big promotion at work. With the holidays fast approaching, he has no time to shop for presents for his big, extended family. Enter personal shopper David, whose style is impeccable but so different from Patrick's own. David works tirelessly to find thoughtful gifts for everyone in Patrick's family, and soon, Patrick finds himself wondering if David is the one thing he's been missing all along.
Least words
(9-1-1: Lone Star) when i first laid my eyes on you (carlos/tk, G) - “You’re such a liar. You couldn’t get out of there fast enough.”“Why do you think I ran?”

Reagan Review
Our theater isn't getting 1992. Our theater didn't get Young Woman and the Sea or The American Society of Magical Negroes either, despite the fact that all 3 movies we had posters for the longest time. AND YET WE GOT REAGAN. FUCK.
So if I haven't made clear hundred of times over, I'm not a conservative. In any sense of the word. I hate most of the Republican party, I think that most of their ideals are either stupid or incredibly dangerous (most both!). And I think it all started with Reagan. I hate "Reagan-nomics", I believe that he had Alzheimer's while in office, and I believe some of the most harmful American ideologies originate from him. So, no, I wasn't looking forward to this movie. I was just hoping it was funny bad.
What's The Movie About?
It's a biopic, about guess who. Reagan from the Exorcist. What? No, Buggnutz, Ronald Reagan! The 40th US President!
What I Like.
This movie is good actually. WHAT?! Yeah, I know. I'm shocked too. For starters, the story is actually told in a way that makes sense unlike several other biopics I watched this year. The set-up is pretty cool, basically an ex-KGB guy is telling a rising star in new Russian government about the fall of Communism. That's a pretty cool angle to take a Reagan biopic, and it's presented incredibly well. Not just in comparison to One Love and The Dark One, but just in general. It's pretty quickly paced, there's lots of cool sizzle reels of various world events happening as well as fun cinematography to keep things visually interesting. You're mostly just shocked that it makes sense, right? Yeah kinda. There's also some crazy shots I wasn't expecting, like Reagan foreseeing the nuclear apocalypse. Or kid Reagan's slow-motion baptism by Kevin Sorbo. Acting it pretty good as well, I admire the kid playing teenage Reagan. He was pretty good at the role. The story is a little batshit, but I still liked it. Dude, they claim that Reagan could see the future because he was a lifeguard. How can you not laugh at this? Plus he get a prophecy for his priest that he's gonna president. You're making that up. NOPE IT'S IN THE MOVIE. And it's pretty well made. Not just in the cinematography, acting, and pacing. The effects aren't too bad (except for the greenscreen. The greenscreen is god awful. I've seen a more real child grave in cartoons.) and the directing id pretty solid. True, there are some moments where they are clearly covering up something, the actor they have play Jimmy Carter not looking anything like the real Jimmy, but they do it in a way that gives the movie style.
What I Didn't Like.
So this movie is ridiculous. It does make it a fun watch, but unfortunately this is the dangerous kind of ridiculous, one that certain people are going to take way to seriously. Also, like the titular character, it's 90% full of shit. 90%? Mmm 95%. They completely gloss over certain more distasteful parts of presidency (AIDS Crisis, anyone?) and they make some questionable changes to events that happened. They claim the LBJ only won in a landslide against Reagan because he bribed the electorates. The worst case in my opinion is Nancy Reagan. Nancy Reagan in the movie is just a stick to prop up Ronnie. There's only the briefest mention of her "War on Drugs" and there's no mention of her involvement in the AIDS crisis. Neither do they mention she had the lead singer of the Sex Pistols killed! Roan that's from a NOFX song, not reality. Whatever. At least sometimes the questionable choices lead to funny moments, like Ronnie admitting to Nancy that he's "Damaged Goods" because he was divorced. Also all the accents are absurd and at one point pretty racist! And Dennis Quaid looks more like Nixon than Reagan most of the time.
Final Summation.
So yes, Reagan is good. Don't watch it. God Roan, can't you watch one movie without getting political? Hey, I think it is completely fair to talk about politics, considering the subject material. But my bigger problem is actually about the information presented about Ronnie. It's absolutely not a fair look at the guy's life. Which, honestly, I'd be okay with if it weren't for the fact that he's like the second face of a dangerous political group that is currently trying to strip everyone of their rights. Trump *vomits* is using old clips of Reagan in his campaign ads. It's a clip that they recreate in the movie. I just think that anyone who is genuinely looking for information of Reagan will be severely misinformed. So how about this instead: Only watch the movie is you are already 100% on who you're gonna vote for in November/are pretty much a member of one political party. People dead set in there opinions are either gonna like it because they agree with everything the movie says and this is just a well made movie about one of their political heroes, or they'll think it's so absurd that they can't take it seriously and will just enjoy a well presented movie.
[EDIT: Wait Dennis, am I in the 20% of critics who like the movie, or the 90% who just attacked it?]

Law & Order Special Victims Unit Season 24 Ep. 5 "Breakwater"
The team is asked for help by a young man who suspects his boss of preying on his sister. Velasco attempts to persuade a hesitant witness to testify in court.
If you want to watch the series for yourself, stop reading! This post contains spoilers to the storyline.
A group of swimmers are attempting to become lifeguards. The head coach is flirting with an employee's sister. It appears that the CPR training dummy is missing, so he requests Martina to act as the dummy for everyone to demonstrate their CPR skills. Later, the boss asks Martina to come in for a moment and close the door. He informs her that her times are borderline and that she will have another opportunity next week. He suggests that her brother is too lenient with her. He places his hands on her and instructs her to move her hips. She departs feeling upset, and Diego punches the head coach.
At home, Martina inquires about Diego's behaviour. She is concerned that the coach will not allow her to pass now. The mother interjects and advises that Diego should not be drinking. Despite her yelling at him in both English and Spanish, he leaves.
Rollins and Fin have a conversation about her plans and how she needs to own her trauma. However, they are interrupted by Benson, who says that the 1-1 called and needs help. Diego has been arrested for drunken behaviour and claims that the boss raped him.
The following morning, he is sober and released. He informs Rollins and Fin that Grecko interfered with Martina. Martina arrives, and Diego begins shouting. Rollins goes to interrogate Martina. Fin reassures Diego that if something did happen, it does not make him any less of a man. Diego and Martina were both told they didn't qualify for something after being called into the office. Martina asks why her brother is present, and Diego reveals that he was raped by Grecko.
Grecko forced Diego onto a desk and raped him. Following the incident, Grecko received all the posts and all the OT, and Diego never reported any further incidents. It was not necessary to change the original text as it already meets the desired characteristics. Fin believes that Diego's claim that Grecko is into guys, but there is no evidence to support this. Velasco is hesitant to investigate, but Benson suggests being direct with Grecko.
Grecko denies all allegations and claims that Diego is a good kid. However, this year, Diego seems to be picking fights and may be using steroids. Fin argues that Diego's muscles are like armor. Benson asks Grecko about Martina, to which he responds that he offered to train her. If they need further information, they can ask his assistant, who is currently with Diego on the beach.
Grecko concludes that the situation makes no sense. According to Ronny, Diego has changed significantly since last year and he is unsure of what is happening. It is possible that Diego is not sober, and Velasco suspects that the kid may be lying. Muncy suggests that this could be Diego's way of coping. Diego was forced to swim too far out to sober up and began to drown. The lifeguard was taking too long to help, so Velasco jumped in to save him.
Unfortunately, Diego did not survive. Fin feels terrible for Velasco, and Rollins suspects that Diego was intentionally sent out too far. Benson instructs them to find Grecko's other victims.
Diego's mother is extremely upset. Diego enjoyed being in the water, especially after his father passed away. Martina sends her away and claims that Diego confided in her about what Grecko did, but promised not to tell his mother. The police agree not to inform Diego's mother.
Another girl spoke to the police. Diego was her first love. She believes that Diego saw Grecko as a father figure. Grecko raped her, and that is why she ended her relationship with Diego. Diego refused to touch her after the incident. She is surprised that Grecko could also be involved in abusing men. Grecko trained Daniella privately and raped her in his office. She reported the incident, but did not receive a response. Grecko was subsequently arrested and claims to have no knowledge of Daniella.
Grecko was granted ROR at arraignment. Carisi informed Benson that the Mayor wants the case to be resolved. A city supervisor requested that they not tarnish the reputation of a respected city official. Carisi mentioned that the accused woman is responsible for bail reform.
The rape kit results indicate that Grecko raped Daniella. However, Daniella did not appear at the grand jury. Rollins attempted to contact her and ultimately decided to send Muncy and Velasco. Daniella claims that her father is on parole and will be incarcerated if she testifies, so she feels compelled to protect him.
Benson discovers that Grecko was hiring unqualified lifeguards, which leads to the realization that the rape case should not be dropped. The police uncover several drowning that occurred while Grecko's lifeguards were on duty, resulting in his being charged with manslaughter.
During the investigation into Diego's death, the police questioned the lifeguard who was on duty at the time. He eventually admitted that Grecko had changed several scores, and he did not report it because he wanted to keep his job. As a result of this new information, Carisi believes that there is enough evidence to charge Grecko with Murder 2.
The trial begins, and a public health official who investigates drownings testifies. It is revealed that several drownings involved lifeguards hired by Grecko. During the cross-examination, she acknowledges that they did not investigate the competence of the lifeguards. Another expert witness testifies that the drownings were a result of the lifeguards' incompetence.
The head lifeguard testifies that Grecko altered the scores. Carisi has him read the original times for the lifeguards who failed to rescue the drowning victims. Grecko forced unqualified individuals to either have sex with him or pay him in exchange for qualifications. Additionally, there is a recording of Grecko admitting to this.
The defence attorney emphasises the witness's delayed testimony.
Rollins believes that the attorney's argument is influencing the jury. Carisi asks Rollins if she would like to be a jury consultant, but she declines, citing the risk of being shot. Perhaps fin should consider becoming a therapist after retiring. Carisi will be late tomorrow due to Grecko's testimony.
Grecko claims to be a man of integrity, despite his "consensual" encounters with his employees. He took the stand.
On the cross he claims that any lifeguard can lose a swimmer and it's a tragedy. He also says his budget is being cut and every year it gets worse. People who have no business being in the water every year and his lifeguards have to risk their lives. He claims Carisi doesn't know what it's like to hold people's lives in your hands. He's the only barrier and most drownings are due to low IQ and lack of common sense. He claims Diego was a drunk who turned up with a hangover. He claims he didn't want Diego dead, but the beach was his responsibility because he was the boss and his lifeguards know it. His head lifeguard leaves.
Benson tells Velasco to talk to the lifeguard who saw Diego drown. The lifeguard says his lawyer told him not to talk. He says he is here to support Grecko. He says he didn't know Diego was going under. He says Grecko told him not to help Diego no matter what. Velasco asks what Grecko has on him. He has pictures of them having sex and has threatened to show them to everyone. Grecko has all the power, Velasco says, take it back.
Carisi tells Grecko it's over. His political power won't survive this revelation. Grecko agrees to plead guilty to 10 counts of manslaughter.
Benson encourages Velasco. He did everything right and it's not his fault that Diego died. He and Muncy go to the memorial.

Day 11 - Manuel Antonio Chill Day
As it was good old St Valentine’s Day I thought it best not to push Georgie aside and focus on keeping the blog completely up to date, however I now have to wrack my brains to remember what we actually did so I might keep this one shorter and sweeter than usual to give me half a chance of catching up on what we did today!
We started off the day with a little bit of a lie in, followed by a bit of breakfast, fresh fruit and yoghurt for G, a nutrigrain bar and yoghurt for me (the food of kings!) we slapped on some suncream, our swimmers and made for the beach on the good old trusty bus now that we knew where the stops are and which side of the road to be on for the right direction! The bus stop has to be one of the most scenic I’ve seen with a good solid jungle back drop, a bench wouldn’t go a miss though! It was quite a busy bus with people going to work, to the beach and about their day to day business. Just over 10 minutes later we were at the beach front where there was plenty of hustle and bustle and people selling their wears. We’re talking everything from parasailing to horse riding, jet skiing, coconuts, hair weaving and something of interest to us - a couple of loungers and a big old parasol!
We were pounced on as soon as we hopped off the bus and offered the comfort and shade for $10, which seemed a reasonable price but like any shopping you don’t just purchase the first thing you see! (Unless you’re a guy so G dragged me off down the beach to see what else was on offer!) After finding a slightly quieter spot we were once again approached but this time for the offer of $18!! We politely declined saying we had a much better deal along the beach and would you believe it, he dropped the price almost instantly! It was a lovely spot, with the tide starting to go out and the sun beating down on us. Finally a chance to lay out a towel and just chi…. Oh wait G’s already in the sea and waving me over. Don’t get me wrong I love the water, but I’d only recently creamed up and got comfy on the sun bed! The sea was like a tepid bath, but the currents were stronger than any I’ve felt before. There were several lifeguards on the beach and one on a jet-ski doing the rounds telling people where to swim and where to avoid due to the rip tides. The terrain below foot was a bit bumpy and rocky in places, that mixed with the pull and push of the waves made for tricky entry and exit, but hilarious viewing as several people went arse over tit in the water!
After a bit of a splash about it was time to chill on the beds in the comfort of the shade. Where I nodded off thinking I’d be safe from the sun, but the tinge of pink I returned to would suggest otherwise! The beach was awash with action (and crabs!) with more locals flogging jewellery, snow cones and massages! They must have seen us from a mile away, a pair of young(ish) lovers just waiting for a couples massage. After a quick foot freebie we succumbed to an all over body massage followed by some chiropractor type moves which I’m going to go out on a limb and and say they haven’t had training to perform. But as I’m still able to type this with out any bones sticking out, it’s all good! There was a bit more a miscommunication on the amount to pay, or maybe that’s how they get you?! We thought they agreed 3,000 Colones each but it turns out the cost was 30,000 for both. We settled on 20,000 which is still pretty expensive for a beach massage, but as it was Valentine’s Day…!
Despite the lounger man providing us with a menu, we were already set for lunch in the form of some nice bread, crisps, cream cheese, cucumber and tomatoes (I’m sure you can guess who had which!) as Craigo has always taught me the importance of hydration I did also nip to the shop for a couple of ice teas and ice creams! It was a lovely way to spend the day, but as 3pm rolled round it was time for us to depart and catch the bus back to Planet B! We had a table booked at 5pm at Ronny’s, a Lonely Planet (shock) recommendation, particularly good for sunsets. A little more expensive than your average restaurant in these parts, but G bloody loves a sunset and as it was V day, all other reasoning goes out the window. We got ready and were out the door in good time with an Uber booked to take us the 4km journey or so. G did suggest walking but the final 1km is up a HUGE hill and I hadn’t dressed to the 9s (more like 6s at best) to rock up all sweaty! I’m surprised any Uber takes people up the hill as road was in awful condition! I’ve been to Grand Canyon and the holes were smaller there! We arrived at 5pm and it was fairly quiet, but it was clear to see why it was a hot spot (quite literally) for the sun set. The restaurant overlooked land below and the sea in the distance, we were so high up it took a while to realise the tiny little toy like boats were actually just normal boats! We were shown to a table right on the edge of the restaurant where behind us several people stood to take photos with one Yank claiming ‘we had the best seat in the house!’ Well that’s what you get for booking in advance Willie Nelson!
We started off with a couple of cocktails and dived straight in to mains (the portions here are Whitehouse-Esque) so you only really need 2 courses! We both had a lovely cut of steak, G with mushroom sauce whilst I went for the ever classic peppercorn. Each came with 2 sides, but bizarrely fries were not one of them. So it was mash and black beans for me and salad and rice for G. It was all extremely tasty and pretty reasonable for the quality and view. As the cocktails went down quicker than me on a Tarzan swing, we also got a bottle of house white, which is an abomination in G’s eyes to compliment steak, but she wanted to share something and I don’t care much for red unless we’re talking strawberry. The mains and alcohol were all delicious, but the dessert was next level. I’ve been waiting a long time to try some chocolate cake as Costa Rica is renowned for its quality coco beans and my goodness, this did not disappoint. I’m not usually one to get excited about food, but I could have gone Bruce Bogtrotter on this bad boy, it was bloody scrumptious!
There was a dessert called the Banana Bonanza, where the lights go down and there’s singing and fire! It sort of reminded me of TGI’s meets Nanny Liz doing the the Christmas Pud! It was a perfect way to spend a few hours, watching the sunset, enjoying some great food and drink and of course with great company. I’m not saying G didn’t want to leave, but she almost treated us to a second bottle of wine… Until we worked out what we’d spent so far! Plus we had some booze back at our accommodation so we hopped in another Uber and went back to play some cards with a couple of cheap and cheerful bevvies. Not a bad way to spend St V day!
G’s Highlight - Sunset dinner!

Lifeguard Veronica
Today is just another normal day at the Riverdale community pool and it's Wednesday, the hot lifeguard works on Wednesday's. Her name is Veronica Lodge, but it's not like I spied on her or anything… well maybe. But in a totally non-stalker way, just admiring from afar. She just moved here at the beginning of summer and school starts next week, I still haven't talked to her…
It all started when Kevin dragged me here at the beginning of summer because he had a thing for the boy lifeguard. His face dropped when his pool boy toy wasn't there, instead a hot raven haired girl sat perched in the high white chair. She gave me a once over one time and Kevin still talks about it. He keeps pushing me to talk to her, saying something about "no woman looks at another like that and isn't even the slightest bit gay." Hopefully he can keep it on the DL today and not draw her attention to me. But knowing Kevin that most likely won't happen. We walked through the metal gate with a clank, the pool only opened an hour ago but it was already packed. The high nineties heat in Riverdale was uncommon even for early August. There was only one spot open and it just so happened to be right by the lifeguard chair, Kevin nudged my arm as we walked and I just rolled my eyes setting my bag on the chair.
Kevin and I were having light conversation when I took a quick glance over at the hottie in the red suit but she was already looking over at us. I had taken off my sunglasses a little bit ago so I couldn't hide the obvious stare. She gave me a light smile and then turned back to fully face the pool. I turned to Kevin but he was freaking out before I could say anything. "You have to talk to her," he immediately said. I laughed shaking my head, "Honey you've been drooling over her all summer. Go talk to her!" He tried to get me to stand up but I refused. "Kev, she's working! I'll wait until she's on break," that was a lie but I needed out of this situation. Hottie like her plus bland human like me, they don't match up. "B, I know you and you one hundred percent will not talk to her," he looked at me accusingly. "If you don't talk to her by the end of today I'm going to make you watch The Notebook five times in a row and pay for Pop's for a week." I groaned, he knew how much I hated that movie, so I nodded signaling it was a deal. The sun was slowly setting and I grew more anxious by the second, I had to talk to her but like how?! She's this tan raven haired goddess, while I'm just plain old Elizabeth "Betty" Cooper, girl next door, perfect student. She's a mystery that I want to uncover, both metaphorically and physically. People are starting to get out of the pool as it closes in less than an hour, I waited until everyone was out and Veronica slowly got down from the chair. I looked over at Kevin once more for reassurance and he smiled shooing me off. I took a deep breath and met her at the chair as she turned around, she gasped slightly.
“H-hi,” wow B great start! Act like you sort of know how to communicate with other people.
The corners of her mouth quickly form in a smirk, she pulled her black thick framed sunglasses to the top of her head. “Hi,” her voice was smooth and low, sort of calming.
I took a moment to realize I was supposed to respond, I stuck my hand out, “I’m Betty Cooper.” I said with a smile, she looked at my hand then back to my eyes and smiled fully.
“Veronica Lodge,” she took my hand and did something unexpected, she intertwined our hands and started to walk in a different direction. I glanced over at Kevin with wide eyes, he was mouthing ‘get it’ packing up our things.
I turned back to look at her and see where she could possibly be dragging me to and realize it's the lifeguard lounge. For never saying a word to me she's a pretty bold person, taking control, it was kinda hot. We went inside the shack-type-building and she turned around with a joyful grin.
“I'm not a crazy person and won't hurt you, I just wanted to talk in private,” she gestured to the table and we both took a seat. I could finally get a good look at her and damn was she beautiful, a small smile formed on my face and her’s shortly followed. “So tell me about yourself Betty,” she put extra emphasis on my name and casually propped her hand under her chin.
“Um,” I rubbed my palms together feeling the light scabs brush, “there isn't much to tell. I’m about to start my junior year at Riverdale High and I’m the head of the school paper.”
She looked at me in disbelief, “A pretty girl like you has to have a story.” My eyes widened and a blush quickly formed, her smirk reappeared and you can tell she knows she has me wrapped around her little finger.
I had to think of a quick flirty response, “I’d have to say the same about you,” soild response B. She raised her eyebrows at my response and let out a light laugh.
“We’d need a couple hours to tell my story,” she said with a laugh. I smiled at her and stood up offering my hand, she looked at me oddly.
“Let’s go to Pop’s, I want to hear the story of how a beautiful girl like you ended up in this dinky town.” She stood and grabbed her bag pulling her shorts on, we walked out and I grabbed my bag along the way.
As we walked into Pop’s still holding hands, I lead her to a back booth and let go of her hand to let her sit across from me. She set her arms on the table and looks at me with her head set at an angle. I rose a brow at her, she raised her eyebrows back continuing to look at me intently. A few moments later she started to tell me her story and I shared mine as well, leaving out the Polly drama because quite frankly I didn’t know anything on the matter. We laughed and talked for a few hours, it was dark and we both realized what time it was.
“It’s already nine at night, where did the time go,” I looked at her in disbelief when she said the time. It was really that late? “I can take you home if you want or we can go on an adventure,” she had a mischievous grin on her face.
“Depends, how legal is this adventure,” I asked with my brows raised.
“Borderline illegal, but don’t worry pretty, you’d look good in orange,” she laughed while I looked at her with a jokingly hurt face.
“I’m not the type of person to go out of my comfort zone, but for you I will,” I looked right into her soft brown eyes as I said it. She only nodded with a light smile and stood taking my hand and pulling me out of the diner. We continued walking and I was getting anxious, what if she was leading me to some trap and has been playing me the whole time. My stomach churned at the thought.
I tried to get my mind off the bad thoughts and realized we stopped walking. I look to see that we’re back at the pool. “Umm Veronica, what are we doing here,” she looked over at me then proceeded to open the locked gate gesturing me to go in. I walked in with caution and looked back to make sure she was still with me, she was. She walked around me and turned on the pool lights starting to take off her clothes. “What are you doing,” I asked with slight panic, I’m pretty sure she saw me staring at her ass while she pulled down her shorts.
“We’re going for a swim Ms. Cooper,” she said glancing at me then pulling off her shirt. I processed everything for a second and suddenly Veronica was standing in front of me. “Would you like some help,” she asked tugging on the end of my shirt. I looked at her hands then back to her eyes, she started to pull it up slowly and I just let it happen. Next she unbuttoned my shorts but I pulled those lower than my hips and let them drop. She did a once over, very, very slowly, I felt very exposed in that moment and also very comfortable.
She grabbed my hand and lead me to the steps of the pool, she stepped in first and watched as I came in closely behind. I went underwater first, it was too chilly not to and she then followed. We swam around for a little while, but I could feel the tension growing. Steam started coming off the top of the pool and I knew this was it, something was bound to happen. Veronica had her eyes and nose out of the water and was looking at me with dark eyes. I wanted her to make the first move, take over and she did just that.
Slowly she inched towards me, it felt like eons until she was right in front of me. She stood fully and I realized how much taller I was compared to her. Water dripping off the tip of her nose, droplets stuck to her skin and eyelashes, she looked absolutely stunning. Our faces came closer together until she just couldn’t bare it and took my face into her hands smashing our lips together in perfect matrimony. Her lips were soft and moved gently against mine, they were timid at first then became more rough. I had my hands on her waist pulling her in, her hands in my hair pulling at the blond strands. Exchanging tongue and soft moans of pleasure we both pulled away for air.
“Wow,” was all I could muster up and she looked at me with that smug smile. I knew it, from this point on it would be the two of us. Together.

A Change of Heart Part 2–Matt Brody
Part 1
Wattpad request by psych0bxtch
Matt's POV
When I heard the flatline, my stomach dropped. The only thing I could hear other than the worst sound in the world was Summer sobbing violently as Mitch tried to keep her from collapsing to the floor.
"No," she kept sobbing. "She can't be. . . Please tell me she isn't. . . Mitch. . . She's my baby sister. . . Please."
"Keep trying," I said under my breath when I finally found my voice. Everyone looked at me as I cleared my throat and took a step towards the ambulance.
"Keep trying," I said louder as they slowly started to unhook Y/N's lifeless body from their machines. "You can't give up on her. She's. . . We need her."
I ignored Summer's questioning look and instead, my eyes glanced towards Y/N. Suddenly, my view of Y/N in the back of an ambulance changed to the last time we were alone together in the South Lifeguard Tower. I couldn't decide if I was more haunted by her laying there unmoving or the look in her eyes when I rejected her.
"I need her," I mumbled. I glanced over at Summer to see her tears slowly stopping.
"Matt?" She said under her breath.
We broke our eye contact when we heard them charging the defibrillator. I held my breath as we all waited to hear the heart monitor start beeping. As we impatiently waited, Summer walked over to me, but I didn't look away from the EMTs working on Y/N.
"What did you mean when you said you need her?" She asked, her voice barely a whisper. "Be very careful with your next words, Matt."
"I can't imagine my life without her," I blurted out. I kept my eyes on Y/N and the EMTs as I continued, "I hate that us almost losing her is what made me realize it."
"No," Summer cut me off, making me finally look at her. "You aren't doing this. Y/N is an amazing girl and you broke her. You broke her, Matt. She finally got the courage to tell you how she felt and you shot her down. Are you telling me that all this time. . . Or are you just suddenly realizing it because we might. . . No. My sister deserves better. Y/N deserves a guy who knows he wants to be with her. Not some Olympic Asshole who picks and chooses when he gets a girl."
I opened my mouth to respond but was interrupted when we heard a beautiful beep. You could hear us all sucking in a synced breath when we recognized the sound. We turned around and saw the EMTs letting out relieved sighs.
"She's back," an EMT said as he glanced over at us. "We got her back."
"Alert the surgical team at the nearest hospital," the other EMT started giving instructions. "We need to get her into surgery as soon as we get there."
The EMTs started talking indistinctly as they hooked her up to more machines. I jumped when they slammed the door shut and the ambulance sped off. I turned to say something to Summer but she was already jogging towards her car. CJ and Stephanie sent me matching glares before following Summer. Ronnie cleared his throat, awkwardly avoiding eye contact with me.
"We're going to the hospital," Mitch said with not even an ounce of emotion in his voice. "Want a ride?"
We rode to the hospital in silence. I watched the buildings zoom by, the anger in Summer's voice repeating over and over again. The glare she gave me sent chills down my spine just thinking about it.
She was right. Y/N is too good for me.
As we sat in the waiting room, I thought back to our conversation in the South Lifeguard Tower. The longer I thought about it, the more I realized I never shot her down. I didn't say anything to her. She assumed I didn't have feelings for her because I didn't say anything. I didn't say anything because I was too shocked.
I looked up and noticed Summer watching me with tears streaming down her face. She had numerous reasons to be pissed at me but the real reason was because of the conversation in the South Lifeguard Tower. I stood up, nervously wiping my hands on my shorts as I walked over to her.
"Don't," she said, her voice getting caught in her throat. "I don't care how guilty you feel about shooting my sister down. I have more important things to think about. Like how Y/N is fighting for her life on a surgery table right now."
"Summer," I stuttered. "Please just. . ."
"Stop!" She yelled, quickly standing up. "My sister is dying, Matt. I don't give a shit that you feel guilty for turning her down. You have no idea how much you hurt her."
"I didn't. . ." I stuttered.
"Of course not," she scoffed. "She took two weeks off from work. Want to know what she did during that time? She spent the entire two weeks crying her eyes out. She was embarrassed, defeated, humiliated, and felt like she couldn't face you. Here's the real kicker; she came back for you!"
"What do you mean?" I asked under my breath.
"You were losing it, Matt," she sighed. "We could all see it."
I looked behind her to see everyone else watching us with the same look on their faces. When I made eye contact with Mitch, he shook his head and looked around the waiting room.
"Summer," I said, my voice breaking as I turned back towards her.
"Enough," she said through her teeth. "Y/N doesn't deserve you, Matt Brody. She deserves better."
* * * * *
An hour later, we still hadn't heard anything from the doctors working to save Y/N's life. We sat in the waiting room of the ER, all of us on edge. Whenever someone walked through a door, we all jumped.
"For Ms. Y/N Quinn?"
We all jumped up, slightly surprising the doctor when he saw how many of us were there. He looked around, trying to figure out which one of us he needed to address first.
"I'm her sister," Summer said shakily as she took a step towards him. "Is she. . . Did she. . . Please tell me she's okay."
"Your sister is one hell of a fighter," the doctor smiled sweetly at her.
"She's okay?" Summer said with nothing but hope in her voice.
"For the most part," he said slowly.
"What does that mean?" Ronnie asked.
"Well," the doctor said, slightly clearing his throat. "As you know, they were able to restart her heart in the back of the ambulance but her vitals were too low when she got to the hospital. As we took her into an exam room, she stopped breathing again. After a few tests, we discovered that it wasn't just the drowning that almost killed her."
"What was it?" Summer asked, slightly taking a step closer to the doctor.
"A bullet."
My breath got stuck in my throat. I looked over at Summer to see her covering her mouth, trying to stop the sob.
"When the hell was she shot?" CJ asked under her breath.
"Underwater," Mitch mumbled to himself. We turned around to see him thinking about something.
"Mitch?" Summer said under her breath.
"Before I jumped in after her, I thought I heard something strange. If I hadn't hesitated. . . I'm so sorry, Summer. I heard the gunshot and that's what made me jump in after her. I should've done that sooner. I'm so sorry."
"This isn't your fault," she said gently. My heart dropped into my stomach when Summer glanced over at me.
"How is she?" Mitch asked.
"We got the bullet out," the doctor continued, "and stopped the bleeding, but she still lost a lot of blood during the surgery. I'm afraid she's slipped into a coma."
"When is she going to wake up?" Summer asked almost instantly.
"We can't be entirely sure," he sighed. "She could be asleep for a few more hours or a few more days. When a patient loses a lot of blood, their mind tends to shut off until that blood is reproduced. But I can assure you that we are doing everything we can to make her feel comfortable until she does. I can take you to see her, Ms. Quinn."
When the rest of us took a few steps closer to Summer and the doctor, he stopped us. "I'm sorry," he said, clearing his throat, "but only family can go into the ICU."
Even though we didn't like it, we sat back down. I intertwined my fingers, struggling to calm my nerves. The next few days were never-ending. While the others went home, I stayed sitting in the uncomfortable ER waiting room chair.
"Matt."
I jumped when I felt someone kick my foot. I looked up to see Mitch standing above me with his arms folded. He sighed as he slightly shook his head.
"Go home."
"I'm good," I said, clearing my throat.
"No, you're not," he sighed. "You haven't slept, you've barely eaten, and you look like shit. Not to mention that you reek."
"I'm not leaving," I said sleepily.
"Matt," he sighed again as he sat next to me. "I know you feel guilty for what happened to Y/N, but the boat fire had nothing to do with you. If anyone is to blame, it's me. I was the one who didn't jump in after her soon enough. I keep hearing that damn underwater gunshot. It replays in my mind and my dreams. This was my responsibility. All of your safety falls on me. I failed Y/N. And Summer."
I suddenly realized how much this has been weighing down on him. His shoulders were tense, his back was hunched, and his eyes were heavy.
"Mitch," I said, making him look at me, "Y/N wouldn't blame you for anything that's happened. You jumped in, you found her, you brought her back to the boat. You saved her, Mitch. All I did was break her heart."
"About that," Mitch said, clearing his throat to cover his laugh. "What the hell, man? She told you how she felt, you shut her down, then she gets hurt and that makes you suddenly have feelings for her?"
"First of all," I sighed, "I didn't shoot her down. I didn't respond right away and she took that as me not having feelings for her. Second, I didn't say anything about "suddenly" having feelings for her."
"Hold on," he said, more anger in his voice. "After all the shit that's gone down, you actually have feelings for her?"
When he looked at me, he saw my answer clearly written on my face. He scoffed as he looked away, slightly shaking his head. When he looked back at me, I felt like a kid about to get scolded by my father.
"Please tell me you realize how much of an asshole you are," he scoffed.
"Mitch," I stuttered.
"Y/N is an amazing girl. You'd be lucky to have someone like her interested in you. Honestly, you don't deserve her anymore. Hell, you didn't deserve her when she told you how she felt. And if you walk into that hospital room and confess to having feelings for her all along. . ."
He didn't finish his threat. Instead, he stood up and wiped his hands on his pants. He was about to walk away but stopped. He didn't bother to turn around as he spoke up.
"By the way," he said through his teeth, "She's awake."
I watched Mitch leave before slowly standing up. I made my way down the hallway, my nerves jumping all over the place the closer I got to her. I hesitated outside her room, continually wiping my sweaty hands on my pants. Whenever I reached for the door handle, I never made it all the way to it. As I tried to reach for the handle again, the door swung open.
"Matt," Summer gasped. She looked over her shoulder before quickly closing the door. "I don't think you should be here."
"Summer, please," I stuttered. "I just want to. . ."
"You've done enough."
* * * * *
After Summer stopped me from going into Y/N's room, I was even more determined to talk to her. I waited for Summer to leave before sneaking back down the hallway. I ducked into Y/N's room, my breath getting caught in my throat when I turned and saw Y/N asleep in the hospital bed.
I felt numb as I walked over and sat next to her. I hesitated to grab her hand because I didn't want to wake her up. Instead, I sat back in the uncomfortable chair and thought about the last conversation Y/N and I had.
~•~
"Your sister is looking for you," I said. I got concerned when I noticed her still facing away from me. I slowly walked over and grabbed the gauze that was frozen in her hand.
"You okay?"
"I'm fine," she said, not at all convincingly.
"Y/N," I elongated. "You sure you're okay?"
"I'm fine," she said again, sounding less convincing than before.
"I'm in love with you."
I heard her suck in a breath the same time I sucked in one of my own. My mind instantly started going 100 miles an hour.
She was in love with me? Since when? Does everyone know? How could I not know?
"What?" I asked under my breath for clarity. I wanted, no needed to make sure I heard her right.
"Never mind," she stuttered. My heart sank when she started to leave the shack.
"Y/N," I said, trying to get her to look at me. My shoulders slightly sank when she remained facing the door. "What did you say?"
"Just forget it," she said quickly.
Right as she was about to leave, I quickly grabbed her hand and slowly turned her towards me. I tried to get her to look up at me but she kept her stare to the ground.
"Y/N?" I whispered. "Did you mean it? Are you really. . ."
"Yes," she forced out. When she finally looked up at me, her eyes sank. My heart clenched when I saw her struggling to hold back embarrassed tears.
"Y/N," I stuttered, "I'm not. . . It's not that . . . I'm sorry."
She roughly pulled her hand out of mine and cleared her throat like she was trying to get rid of a lump.
"Okay," she whispered.
"Y/N," I sighed.
"It's fine," she said before I could get a chance to explain what was going through my head. It wasn't that I didn't have feelings for her. The truth was, I wasn't sure how I felt about Y/N Quinn.
"I should umm. . . You're taking over, right? You're on the next shift? Okay, I'm gonna go then. Bye, Matt."
"Y/N," I said, trying to get her to stay and hear me out. "Please let's. . ."
I physically jumped when the South Lifeguard tower door shut between us. I sat on one of the extra chairs, my mind not stopping. I ran my fingers through my hair as Y/N's defeated and embarrassed look on her face was stuck in my head.
"I don't know how I feel about you," I mumbled to myself. "But I know I don't want to lose you."
~•~
I've always felt this pull towards Y/N. I just thought it was friendship. That is until she told me how she felt for me. I looked over at her, the guilt suffocating me.
"You don't get it," I whispered, shaking my head and looking away from her. "You left before I could explain. I wasn't stuttering that I didn't have feelings for you. I was stuttering that I wasn't sure. I know that's not better but. . ."
"Matt?"
My head snapped up when I heard my name weakly said. I was met with Y/N's Y/E/C eyes. I smiled as I scooted closer to her.
"Hi," I whispered.
"What are you doing here?"
"I had to see you," I started to ramble. "Look, I know things have been weird between us and I hate it. I absolutely hate this tension between us, Y/N. When you were gone, those were the worst two weeks of my life. I was miserable. I wanted to call you but Summer kept telling me to leave you alone."
"She what?" She asked softly but I kept talking.
"And then when you came back? I didn't know what to do or say. Whatever I rehearsed, didn't seem good enough. Then the boat fire. . . You were underwater for four and a half minutes. Mitch gave you CPR for the whole five-minute boat ride back to shore. The EMTs took over for three minutes before they hooked you up to the defibrillator. One minute and forty-two seconds later, you flatlined. That was the longest minute and forty-two seconds of my life."
"Matt," she said weakly, trying to interrupt me again.
"When you told me how you felt," I continued, "I didn't respond but not because I didn't have a response for you. It was because I was evaluating."
"Evaluating," she repeated. "Matt, what does that mean? Evaluating what?"
"Us," I said before I could stop myself. "I mean evaluating who you are to me. We've been good friends since you started at Baywatch, but I've always thought our relationship was stronger than just a simple friendship. And it wasn't until you left those two weeks that I realized it was a lot deeper than a simple friendship."
"What are you trying to say?" She asked hesitantly.
"I'm saying I have feelings for you," I said quickly. I watched as her eyes widened. She was studying me hard, probably trying to decide if I was being honest with her.
To help reassure her, I continued. "Y/N, I'm not just saying I have feelings for you because I almost lost you. I'm saying it because I didn't realize how I felt for you. I had a general idea but I wasn't sure exactly. I know this doesn't make much sense, but it's the truth. I care about you, Y/N, a lot. I'm sorry it took almost losing you for me to wake up and realize that I've loved you all this time."
I held my breath, waiting for her reaction. When her eyes filled with tears, I couldn't tell if they were happy tears or angry tears. The silence ate away at me, almost as much as the guilt.
"Please say something," I whispered. My breath got caught in my throat when she slowly smiled.
"Come here," she whispered.
I scooted the chair closer to Y/N's bed and grabbed her hand. I leaned down and pressed my lips to hers. The second our lips touched, we instantly started moving them in sync.
Every feeling I've felt since her confession intensified as we finally kissed. It was like everything we've been holding back, burst. Without breaking the kiss, I stood up and carefully crawled onto her bed until I was hovering over her. The kiss got heated as Y/N reached up, grabbed my shirt, and pulled me closer to her.
She moaned when I used the hand that wasn't holding me up to gently rub her hip. I smirked against her lips as I slowly slid that hand up her body. She gasped, breaking the kiss when I found and squeezed her boob. That surprised gasp turned into a painful one.
"Shit," I gasped, moving my weight off of her. "I'm so sorry, Y/N. I should've. . . You've been shot and I. . . I'm sorry. For everything. I never should've. . ."
"Matt," she whispered, cutting me off as she reached up and gently cupped my cheek in her hand. "It's okay."
"No," I stuttered. "It's not okay, Y/N. None of it is. I want to make it up to you. I need to make it up to you."
"Then take me on a date," she said so simply.
"What?"
"Take me on a date," she repeated.
I smiled, feeling like a giddy idiot as I laid down next to her. I let out a satisfied sigh as she immediately cuddled into my chest.
"As soon as you get out of here," I whispered, "I'm taking you on that date."

ZANE PHILLIPS, CISMALE, HE/HIM ✦ SEBASTIAN CAMPBELL the TWENTY-EIGHT year old has been in Hidehill for HIS WHOLE LIFE (ON AND OFF) and was a STRANGER to Ronnie Nilsson, the most recent shadow of Hidehill. Whispers on the streets are that the LIFEGUARD AT ROYAL POOLS who lives in HIDE SQUARE are said to be EASY GOING and RECKLESS but I guess we’ll find out for ourselves.
STATISTICS.
NAME: Sebastian Lucas Campbell (usually goes by Bash or Seb, but Sebastian works, too!)
AGE: 28 years old
BIRTHDAY: July 30th
ZODIAC CHART: Leo
GENDER & PRONOUNS: Cismale, he/him
FACE CLAIM: Zane Phillips
FAMILY: Sloane Campbell (twin sister), Jordan & Vivian Hayes (cousins)
OCCUPATION: Lifeguard at Royal Pools & drummer for Sour Breakpoint
PLACE OF BIRTH: Hidehill, Nashville
CURRENT RESIDENCE: Hide Square
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Bisexual
HEIGHT: 5′11″ (180 cm)
BACKGROUND. (trigger warnings: stalker, drugs (just mentions of them))
Sebastian was born and raised in Hidehill till the age fifteen, when his father forced the family to move to Las Vegas to seek a better career opportunity. Although he did not want to move, Sebastian didn’t complain. He had been pretty much a model teenager who sought to please his father. Surely, it made it difficult to leave friends and and his significant other behind, but deep down he knew he had no choice. His father was always strict.
He adapted quite well to his new life in Las Vegas, although he didn’t necessarily enjoy it at first. He did really well at school, participated in extracurriculars, and made new friends. His dad wanted him to stay in Las Vegas for college, and so he did.
At nineteen, he accidentally found out about his father’s shady business in Vegas (without his father knowing) and to say that turned Sebastian’s life upside down would be an understatement. As a result, he started to rebel, partying way more, experimenting with drugs and alcohol here and there, and getting into all sorts of trouble. Just like that, the once compliant, model son, turned into a rebellious troublemaker. Of course, Sebastian’s father did not like that, and in an attempt to exert some control over his son, he threatened to cut him off completely and even threatened him with Sloane, unbeknownst to his sister, of course.
After college, Sebastian’s dad practically demanded he work with him, introducing him to the business he’s apart of. So, he was forced to help his dad, starting off with tasks and jobs that seem pretty innocent. Except Sebastian already knew the real nature of the job. It made him sick to his stomach. His rebellious streak didn’t end, except he became more careful and secretive about it.
Eventually, his dad introduced him to the more shady part of the business and that’s when, a year into it, Sebastian couldn’t handle it anymore and decided to leave Las Vegas behind, threatening his father to expose his shit the way he had threatened him a few years back with everything.
With that, he moved back to Hidehill at twenty-three, where Sloane was bouncing in and out. He’s always been close to his twin sister, but by this point, she was his only real family and he wanted to be somewhere close to where she was, his protective instincts always there, but kicking in even more because of her stalker and when she was arrested.
He recently joined Sour Breakpoint as their drummer!
PERSONALITY.
Sebastian is a dirtbag. He lives his life day by day, not the type to think ahead or pre-plan. He’s very self-indulgent and impulsive when it comes to his bad habits. Because of his father, he’s grown to be a cynical man and trusts a very small number of people, but he can also very protective over certain people. He can very sarcastic and vain at times and the type to dismiss issues instead of dealing with them, opting to cross a bridge whenever he gets there. He doesn’t like to think about that period of his life when he helped his father with the shady business despite the guilt that boils in him about it. He’s very much a flirt and an easy going guy, sleeps around quite a lot and prefers that over relationships, which tend to end because of his commitment issues. Sloane is the most important person to him, hurt her and he’ll ruin your life.
WANTED CONNECTIONS.
Best friend/ride-or-die
Close friends
Childhood friend(s): basically before he left Hidehill the first time. Could’ve kept in touch during the time he was away or not.
Good influence on him
He’s a bad influence on them
Someone he likes to annoy for the fun of it
Someone he bickers with frequently
Exes: basically 1) his ex when he was fifteen before he left Hidehill 2) two exes in the last six years. Definitely short term. He’s not a commitment person so that could’ve caused issues and ultimately the break ups. But we can definitely discuss and brainstorm together!

Flirtationship
Protective over them
Someone who just doesn’t like him

🌹
thank you kind anon 😭 I'll give a random excerpt from the next chapter of Come Over Here and Overwhelm Me titled "karaoke by the sea"
Including their instructor — Maverick.
Ronnie looked back over at Penny, who’s eyes were solely focused on her ex-lover. She had to choke back a laugh when the older woman bit her lip as she continued to stare.
“Do you want me to take a picture, Penny?” Ronnie asked with a chuckle.
Penny finally pried her eyes away with an embarrassed smile and a point of her finger. “You — stop.”
Jake jogged over once he noticed Ronnie sitting at the picnic table, a tube of sunscreen in his hand. Ronnie couldn’t help the grin that overtook her face as he waved at her. Jake was just as shirtless as the rest of them. Well-built muscles rippling like he was a Baywatch lifeguard. Sunglasses pulled over his eyes. She could practically see him running in slow motion. Ronnie nearly wanted to laugh at the absurdity of it — but the urge quickly died away the closer he got. His chin was still bruised a light shade of purple, his bottom lip scabbed over black in a thick line.
“Oh, who needs a picture now?” Penny grumbled just as Jake got to the table.
I'll take more 🌹s if people want to send them in!

170 - To the Family and Friends
Love the winner, hate the win. Welcome to Night Vale.
I start today with sad news. I must inform you of the passing of Intern Victor. To the friends and family of Intern Victor, we extend our condolences. Oh, that reminds me. Our intern program has a new open spot available. Hours are flexible, as is time itself. You must be fluent in at least three languages, although one of those can be your own dream language, and another can be a future language that doesn’t yet exist. This is an entry level position. All applicants must have 30 years experience in the field of community radio, and have been the managing director of at least 2 radio stations, or equivalent unregistered stations broadcasting coded messages to our brave spies in the field. This is a non-paying position, but we do give you 4 credits to the institutions of your choice. Please apply in person by groveling before the Station Management door and crying: “Choose me! Choose me!” as their tendrils draw you slowly toward them. I look forward to meeting whoever is hired. Always so fun when we get a new intern.
And now for a look at the day’s news. The Night Vale Medical Association has ordered a review of the management of Night Vale Asylum, after a number of irregularities have cropped up involving a transdimensional missing plane and a pilot who could control people’s thoughts. “Honestly, we had a lot of cases like that back in the 60’s,” said Lonnie Chapman, chairman of the Medical Association. “Mental institutions used to be cruel places, where the fragile rift between dimensions was regularly breached and telekinetic powers were exploited. And people were treated as less than people, for the simple crime of having an illness that could not be found in the blood or the bile.” Lonnie settled back into the sagging comfort of his old arm chair, sighed and rubbed his forehead. “We endeavour to help, not to other,” he whispered. “It should be common sense, this kindness. Why is kindness not common sense?” He said this last so quietly that no one heard him. Dust motes circled tirelessly in the afternoon sun through the window. The Night Vale Medical Association is looking to shut down the outdated asylum and replace it with a brand new state of the art treatment center, located near Grove Park. More on this story as the story has more to it.
I guess I should get into a little more detail about how Intern Victor died, since some of you might be curious. You know, I think the story starts back in my very first days as host of this radio station. After the previous host, Leonard Burton, after – umm… ehhhh.. Once I took over as host of this radio station, Victor was one of my first interns. Eager and earnest and always helpful. He was first in the station in the morning and last one out at night. His research was impeccable.
“That’s not true,” he would say every time I said something that wasn’t true. “That’s not true either,” he would say. He would say stuff like that a lot. He was very diligent. It kind of felt like we were starting this great adventure in radio broadcasting together. I thought that some day after I… after… ehhhhh.. ummm… once I was no longer host of this radio station, perhaps Victor would be the one to take over. “Some day, Victor,” I would murmur in the quietest hours of the night shift, “Some day maybe you will be where I am now.” “Maybe, Cecil,” he would say back into the intercom from the producer’s booth, “But for now, please stop murmuring that into the mic. We’re live right now. Then one day he told me he was leaving. That he appreciated all the time he had spent as an intern, that he had learned a lot, but that he felt his place in the world was not with radio after all. [sputters] “Not with radio?!” I sputtered. I simply did not understand the concept. “If there is not community radio, then what is there? What is there besides that? Will someone tell me what else there is?” “Thank you for our time together,” he said gently, and then he left. It would be the last time I saw him for many years.
And now a word from our sponsors. Today’s sponsor is White Claw’s new line of non-alcoholic alcoholic Seltzer beverages. Listen, everyone loves a good carbonated beverage. On a hot day, out at the beach, or not at the beach, the two places it is possible to be. It’s great to just pop one of those bad boys open and really let that water with bubbles rip on your gullet. But not everyone likes to drink alcohol, for a variety of reasons that are never ever your business. Just don’t ask or bring it up. It’s so easy to not do that. That’s why White Claw is proud to announce the newest version of our alcoholic Seltzer beverage, now without alcohol! It’s everything you loved about Seltzer water, but for the first time, you don’t have to get intoxicated. Flavors include blackberry, wild nettle, wet stone, and one we’re just calling “Tumbleweed Crush”. Even we aren’t completely clear on what that one tastes like, but hey, it’s water and it’ll make you burp without making you drunk. White Claw’s new line of non-alcoholic alcoholic Seltzer beverages. Available wherever you buy your alcoholic Seltzer beverages. This has been a word from our sponsors.
I didn’t finish with the story of how Intern Victor died, I guess. Ummm, let me quickly wrap that up. So, a few years after he left, he came back again. He was older than me now with salt and pepper hair and a stiffness to his walk. When he had left, he had been several years younger than me, but time changes us all, I suppose. “Cecil! I didn’t know if you’d still be here,” he said. I bristled at this, hearing a perceived implication that I should have gone on to something larger, that by staying put I had allowed him to be pull ahead of me in some intangible way. So I responded with manic friendliness to compensate. “Still here!” I shouted. “Great to see ya, buddy wo-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-how! What have you been up to?” He told me that he had left Night Vale, gotten an apartment just outside of somewhere called Fresno, that it was difficult at first, and that he felt lonely much of the time. But that he had slowly made friends, so many friends, and had found a job that became a career that became part of his life. He worked with teenagers who were going through a tough time, seeing them through to better times. He was very well liked for what he did, and he was very good at it. “But I’ve decided to retire,” he said. “I’m getting up in the years, you know? But wow, you don’t look like you’ve aged a day.” “I haven’t,” I said. He was so much older than me then. I wondered where the years had gone and what I might have accomplished, if I had aged as well. He had retired to Night Vale to be with his family and friends and the people who knew and loved him best, and relax into the soft years of his latter life. So that… wait. Well, that’s not how he died, but I have to get to this next report. I’ll finish it in a second.
And now traffic. There was a song once sung by sailors of an island in the west, where the sun would shine forever and not a minute less. They say that on that island a sailor could find their rest, finally let slip shut their eyelids on that island in the west. But I’ve been searching, and been searching all my life, as though some cruel test, and have never found my way to that island in the west. There was a song once sung by sailors and I believed it, I confess. A foul lie I still believe in, my sweet island in the west. This has been traffic.
Intern Victor lived in Night Vale for many years more. He was active in charities and volunteer groups, continuing to offer counseling to students at the local high school. He lived in the Hefty Sycamore Trailer Park, watering a garden of flowers that he kept in pots around his trailer. It seemed that Victor was even more busy in retirement than he had been in his long career. Returning to his community seemed to invigorate him. He helped Carlos with experiments at the labs, donning goggles and lab coats and writing down numbers with hearts around them, all of that science stuff. Carlos said he was surprisingly good at it for someone without training. He worked with Dana at City Hall, creating the No More Pit initiative, which strove to keep one teen a year from entering that pit on Clement Street and disappearing forever. Now, the initiative was unsuccessful and the pit continues to devour but they, it was the attempt that matters. He acted as a volunteer lifeguard at the Waterfront Recreation Area, at which he saved a record five people in one day from drowning! A truly astounding record when you consider that there is no water at the Waterfront Recreation Area, Night Vale having an entirely arid climate.
Yes, Intern Victor was accomplished and well liked. He would have made a fine host at this radio station some day, but he never showed much interest, which is a pity. Because after I… After, well… Who will take up that mantle? Not Victor, not anymore. Well, I guess I still haven’t told the story of how he died.
Uh, let me do that just After the weather.
[A List for Spring” by Joseph Fink https://josephfink.bandcamp.com/]
Victor was in bed. The curatin over the window shifted slightly in the breeze, so the sun flickered in the room, shadow and bright, like a message from the world outside that he would never live to understand. His breath felt like a finite quantity, slowly drawn out of his chest. He knew that the last of it was coming soon. He wanted to use the drags of his breath for words that would sum up his life, but he couldn’t think of any. He could only think of “I am tired”. He could only think of “Thank you for being here.” He could only think of “I wish I had more time”, although eh didn’t know what he would have done with that time if he had any.
Around his bed were the people who had known him throughout his life. There was his sister Carly, and his brother Herman, and his aunt Ronnie, ancient and brittle but apparently destined to outlive him. There was his friend from college, Norm, whose hands shook as he looked into Victor’s eyes. There was former mayor Dana and her brother, leaning into each other in sorrow, keeping each other upright as a family creature of grief. There was Carlos in an understated lab coat, frowning. There was nothing more scientific than death, and yet Carlos hated the fact of it. And he wrestled with the contradiction within himself. Some natural processes feel unnatural, no matter how many times they occur to us, they are a surprise that our whole life spends telegraphing.
In the corner was Rosario, one of the teenagers Victor had worked with back in Fresno, who had eventually moved to Night Vale after getting lost in the shelves of a strange antique shop and waking up in the vacant lot out back of the Ralphs. She was middle-aged now, her face glistened with tears. “Everything I am is because of you,” she said. Victor snorted. “Don’t blame me,” he said with one of those last precious breaths. And she grinned despite herself. “You were the first person that cared about who I was,” she said. “I’ll never forget you.” “Already I’m in past tense,” he said, but he grabbed her hand and clasped it in a fervent silent thank you. Because she was testament that he had been useful, and there was nothing more important in a human life than to be useful to other people.
I was there too, and I stepped forward. “You were the best intern I ever had,” I said. “I know,” he said, and he winked.
It can be… strange when we first meet someone when they are young and just started out, and are in the entry positions in the career they want, to realize they have the potential for an entire life. Victor ended up a great man. A man with deep roots in the community. A man who went from 10 years younger than me to several decades older than me. And I… well, I still think of him as an intern, and I suppose I always will, but his potential was realized upon the lives of everyone in that room, and many other lives still.
A strong breeze came through the window and the flickering of light increased, as though that incoherent messenger was getting more frantic to be understood. Victor knew that his finite breaths had reached their last few. And he did not use them to say anything at all. He smiled, and met each of our eyes, and then… And then after…
To the family and friends of Intern Victor. To the family. To our families, blood or chosen. They are the net on which we can fall again and again. To the friends, to our friends. The people who make life worth living. Who help us when we need help. Who we help when we need to help.
Intern Victor was a good intern. He was a good person. He is gone. We are here. Let’s make ourselves useful. To all families. To all friends.
Stay tuned next for a tall glass of water greedily, drunk by a person who did not realize they were thirsty until the liquid hit their lips.
Good night, Night Vale, Good night.
Today’s proverb: Earth is technically a sandwich, where the upper bread is stars and the lower bread is stars and the filling is rock and lava and a few incidental humans.

On to a not so serious Zac Efron movie that I watched the same week as Extremely Wicked ... I watched Baywatch and I don’t care what anyone says about this movie as it was hella fun! I did really enjoy it as it was like I went in with no expectations but what I got was actually an interesting plot and some good humour.
I have to say it was a really awesome movie and I wasn’t expecting the whole plot with them trying to bring down a drug dealer played by Priyanka Chopra (aka the new Mrs Nick Jonas) and she was quite good in the role.
I liked seeing before that the whole trials to become a lifeguard on the beach which Brody had to do for community service after messing up so he didn’t want to participate in the whole charade as he knew he was on either way. It was funny when he did go against Mitch though lol.
I loved Zac Efron in it! He was so hilarious!!! and he had those abs of steel <3
Mitch used a Roman Candle to take down Leeds in the end! That had to hurt is an understatement lol. It was crazy like the flare in the face in Dead Calm which I also recently watched.
There was so much humour in the movie too especially when Mitch kept calling Brody things that weren’t his name like High School Musical lol. I still never saw them even though I was in high school when they were out. I feel like I should have, I watched Camp Rock. Also One Direction and other boy bands etc lol.
But there was a lot of other humour too like getting junk stuck in a chair like Ronnie did and his dance lol. Ronnie looked like a bigger and less attractive version of Cole Sprouse.
It was quite hilarious a lot of the time. As well as being quite exciting which I didn’t expect tbh.
The Rock was good in it too and the rest of the cast.
I liked how original Mitch aka The Hoff was at the end and on the keyring and was like “why did you steal the name Mitch?” which I thought too, I was like if he plays Mitch then who will Hoff play in cameo?
Pamela Anderson had a super slo-mo cameo too which was funny but was still called Casey Jean aka CJ like there was also a CJ in it.
I don’t think I saw the original one as I was too young or maybe saw bits I think on TV, I vaguely remember seeing bits. I did think about trying to watch it a few years ago but there’s a lot lol. I never knew they solved crimes but that’s pretty cool. I just thought they did their lifeguarding and that was it.
I found a comparison video on YouTube of the characters - some look similar and others not so much. I think Pamela Anderson was prettier as CJ, the new one was pretty but not as pretty as Pamela. Summer looked nearly identical.
I wonder if they will make a sequel, it says on Screenrant they said they were but now they are making a reboot of the show so it might not happen now and The Rock is busy, awww. It sounded like the sequel would have been interesting too.
Zac Efron <3

Naughty November Tweetfics Day 7
Collected Tweetfics from day 7 of my Naughty November project. Themes were:
Blowjobs - Tits - Monster Girls
Check me out on Twitter to request prompts of your own: @spectre058
Liara's mouth slid sensuously down my shaft, tongue running over my head, washing it clean as she sucked me hard again. Running my hand over her ass, I scooped a little of the cum running down her slit onto my finger. It would make excellent lube as I teased her ass.
"You might be miss super spy." Bonnie teased, lifting and pushing her tits together, "but Ronnie loves to cum on these way more than your mosquito bites."
"Pahleeeese…" Kim stretched, showing off her more modest but deeply toned body, "he knows quality beats quantity any day."
You'd be lying if you said being the only guy in the whole world to get a regular titfuck didn't give you an ego boost.
Only problem was you couldn't tell anybody!
Looking at your dick poking out between those super tits, you figure the price is worth it.
Even with the bars between them, the Brute had more than enough cock for Kelly-O87 to choke herself on it. He might be the one imprisoned, but she was the one on her knees. Eyes starting to water and drool dribbling all over her tits, she told herself it was 'interrogation prep'
Pulling back, MJ coughed, snorted her nose clear, and looked up at Bruce past the sloppy mess she'd made of his cock. Grinning, she pursed her lips and almost delicately blew a series of bubbles from his head down to the base before licking them up on her return trip.
It was clear the surfers were tackling the biggest waves in hopes you'd save them. Guess the word had gotten out about this beach having a sexy shark girl lifeguard.
At least this latest one had decent dick. Mounting him in the surf, you make some waves of your own.
"Come on, Dick." Selina put a little extra spice on Nightwing's name, drawing a finger down her chest. It got stuck in the ring pull of her zipper, exposing another few inches of cleavage. "Can't we work out some kind of 'work release program?' I promise I'll be a good girl."
Running fingers through the cum coating her tits, Darcy sucked them clean with evident delight. "Damn… do all Asgardians taste this good? Or is it just you?"
Stroking himself hard again, Thor blushed. "I am most pleased thou enoyeth my taste. Would thou like a second round?"
"Surely yours aren't as well-endowed as Najma."
"Maybe not in the chest." Weiss could admit the obvious. At least, when she knew she had a counter. Pulling Chrom's cock out, she added. "But, I taught her everything she knows about sucking dick. But not everything I know."
"That's it. Howl for me, wolf girl!" Danielle Moonstar thought the leash and collar might've been a bit much, but Wolfsbane'd insisted, and she had to admit, they gave her great leverage as she sank the strap on deeper. Besides, she'd always wanted a pet.
It wasn't easy to perform a quality blow job with the chain of her nipple clamps looped over the Orc's massive cock, but as Jaina felt the heavy load splashing her face, mixing with the makeup she knew she'd ruined in her efforts, she was confident she'd proved her oral skills.
"So, how about it?" Cass leaned forward, letting the trader get a real good look down her shirt. She'd unbottoned it even more than usual especially for this negotiation. "Cut another 12% off the top for your favorite caravan driver?"
She got 15%.
Worked every time.
Lucoa's tits were almost as big as your head, and they swallowed your cock completely. The only clue you even still had one was the waves of pleasure coming faster and faster as she bounced them along your shaft. Even your eruption barely produced more than a puddle between them.
Under the truce agreement, the Inquistor was required to provide regular tributes of cum, each collected by a Desire Demon. How the collection was handled though was left vague. Using the demon's horns as handles for a face fuck proved more than sufficient for both of them.
They might not be big enough to eclipse your entire cock, but Daenerys more than made up for her tits size with her enthusiasm. Working the base and shaft between her modest mounds, she slobbered all over your head, both lubing her lower efforts and driving you wild!
It was for charity. The more people donated, the more Power Girl stripped off, the more she stripped off, the more people donated. Pretty soon, her tightly controlled and rehearsed strip tease couldn't keep up with the stream. Laughing, she just ripped her top off entirely.
"It's just a question, Sugar. Who's are better?"
Sweat rolled down the back of Gambit's neck. Storm, Jean and Rogue stood topless before him, all doing their best to display to their best advantage. And he was to judge them?
Storm snickered. "This is taking to long. Smother him!"
It'd been too long since Xenerah had gotten a facefucking from her lord and his divinely powerful cock. Seated on his throne, one hand on her head, he drove into her throat with a selfish disregard for her welfare. She squirmed, desperate to touch herself and ordered not to.
Being Queen usually meant not having time to truly indulge in what she wanted. So when Chrysalis asked for Shining Armor to fuck her, it wasn't the slow, sensual fucking the knight preferred, it was fast and rough, a quick hammering to relieve stress before getting back to work.
"I win again." Bruce laid his cards on the table, not bothering to hide his satisfaction. Swearing, Dinah unhooked her bra, joining Zatanna, Jessica and Mari's.
"How?" She demanded. "How're you good at this too?"
"I didn't keep my fortune through my business savvy alone."
"You ever wonder why we're here?" Johnny watched the ceiling fan slowly circle.
At the edge of her bed, lips tight around the base of his cock, Sue just gurgled something and sucked a little harder.
He watched the fan turn another circle. "Yeah. Me neither."
This was taking too long, and her jaw was getting sore. Switching tactics, Kelly stopped her oral assault to focus instead on a center mass attack, using her cum covered tits to stroke the Brute's massive cock. She'd drain him before interrogation, or pass out trying!
