-- ✦JEREMY ALLEN WHITE, CISMALE, HE/HIM ✦ ADRIAN PARRIS the THIRTY ONE year old has been in Hidehill for TWO YEARS and was a STRANGER to Carter Thompson, one of the shadows. Whispers on the streets are that the PARALEGAL/LAW STUDENT who lives in HADLEY PARK are said to be INSIGHTFUL and PARTICULAR but I guess we’ll find out for ourselves.
To tell the story of Adrian Parris, we have to start with the story of Timothy Beau Alexander. Timothy, or Beau, as he was more commonly called, spent his childhood the son of prominent political figure, a republican senator from Nevada, their home state. Beau and his three siblings enjoyed all the privleges of their fathers position, and the familial wealth inherited from the generations before him. They spent more time with nannies than their own parents, but in the eyes of the media they were that perfect all-American, catholic, republican, sinless family.
The Alexander children were all expected to follow in their father’s footsteps, at least the two sons were, but Beau was quick to see through the lies of his father, and his father’s entire moral compass. His rebellion started small enough, smoking pot and one-night stands, all easy enough to hide from the voters. Beau went to college, much to his father’s approval, on a pre-law track at a less-than Ivy League university after a Harvard deferral. It would be wise to assume his father knew of Beau’s rather… liberal.. tendencies, but he must’ve ignored them, hoping the allure of following the funding would sway his son towards the right. It never did.
In fact, Beau almost didn’t complete his college degree, after being derailed by a heart break, and turning to drugs to cope. He never made it into law school, and instead skated by on his trust fund, as his parents hoped they could at least pay him enough money to stay away from his father’s upcoming presidential campaign in 2016. That didn’t work. With not much else to live for at that moment, Beau redirected his life’s focus into derailing his father’s campaign in any way necessary. Intentionally being spotted leaving casinos with call girls, getting arrested for public intoxication, the occasional spontaneous protest at his father’s rallies. His father was quickly cut from the nomination pool, but two years later, Beau’s reputation continued, sullying his father’s image enough to leave him the blame for his father losing his representative seat.
That was the final straw for the Alexander’s, and in exchange for promising not to turn him in to the police and press charges for all the crimes they’d been aware of, Beau signed away his rights to his family name. From there, he joined another family, a crime family, one that promised to support Beau and his girlfriend, to protect them, in exchange for Beau picking up a few more responsibilities. The former casual drug dealer, was now in much deeper than he thought he’d be. Despite knowing that his current girlfriend was the love of his life, there had been many threats on both his life and hers, so he let her go. Not long after that, a deal gone bad had him in a cell at the LVPD, where he promised to tell-all in exchange for a trip to rehab and a new identity.
This is where we meet Adrian Parris, a man from California, moving to Hidehill for a “fresh start” (and certainly not to hide in a place frankly unreachable). Once “graduated” from rehab, he decided to return to all the things he’d planned for himself before the drugs entered his life. With no connections and a whole new backstory, he worked from the ground up to find himself finally achieving the goal of attending law school. Now, he spends most daylight hours in a library or a classroom, working as a paralegal to gain both the experience and rent money, or volunteering to pass out harm reduction kits to the nearby Nashville unhoused population.. In the brief moments he has time off, you might find him throwing a ball for his dog, Mr. Breakfast, at the beach, or writing in his journal (which he thought was the dumbest idea at the time, but has found truly does help maintain his sobriety).

✦ BOYD HOLBROOK, CIS MAN, HE/HIM ✦ BOONE KELLER the THIRTY SIX year old has been in Hidehill for HIS ENTIRE LIFE. Whispers on the streets are that the OWNER OF FAST GAS who lives in HORWICK are said to be PATERNAL and VOLATILE but I guess we’ll find out for ourselves. { CAMI, 30, AST, SHE/HER. }
———— ◽️ 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐒
government name. booker nelson keller
preferred name. boone
current age. thirty eight
birthdate. december 23rd
height. 6'2"
identity. cis male, he/him
sexuality. heterosexual
moral alignment. chaotic neutral
language(s) spoken. english
occupation. owner of fast gas
residence. inherited house in horwick
———— ◽️ 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐏
without having a hope in hell from the get go, boone was a raised in a household that always had some form of drugs or alcohol ( usually both ) at his parents' disposal at any given time. so he was exposed to these addictions at a very early age and would eventually follow the same path, but to a lesser degree.
as the apple of his parents' eye, for some reason, he could do no wrong. when, in fact, he did very wrong, at any given moment. boone was a labelled a problem child by his teachers. it started off with him being an annoying punk kid, disrupting class and clowning around with his friends. but as he got older, the problem grew with him.
fist fights were a common occurrence whenever he was in attendance at school. so if he didn't skip, he was sent home regularly. however, he never let his parents know the difference ( if they'd even notice anyway ) and he'd stay out on the streets all day -- drinking, smoking, wreaking havoc on the small town -- until school was let out and it'd be time for him to go home. as a result, he was held back a couple times in different grades.
eventually, boone would flip a final fuck you to the system and drop out of high school. who needs big brains?? certainly NOT him. instead of pursing a fruitful career like every other kid on the block, he acquired the necessary license to become a long haul driver because 1) he wanted to travel and 2) what else was he gonna do.
rootin great rapport via walkie talkie channels with all his trucker buds, tootin his loud ass horn down the highway at every little car that tried to cut him off, boone was content with this way of life. until he met some girl at some bar, somewhere along the way home. then he was apparently in love.
when word spread of this, he inherited ( rly was given ) a whole ass house in horwick from a relative. rumor has it some shady business was going on in there and so having boone and his aforementioned gf live there was all a cover up to keep the cops from sniffing around. but whatever the reason, he didn't care. he got a free home, away from his parents.
while boone wasn't exactly your all american, golden boy or best big brother, he felt guilty ditching his younger siblings, and made a point to keep his door open for them if they ever needed a place to crash. he wasn't the affectionate type by any means, but he tried to be a better influence than their parents ever were.
without ever having any real big bills to pay, thanks to the house, boone did well to save up a huge chunk of his earnings. so when his girlfriend ended up having a baby, he quit his long haul job and bought the gas station in hidehill. everybody needs gas, so he thought it was a great investment. big brains.
having owned fast gas for nearly a decade, he's been through all kinds of ups and downs. his girlfriend left him for an accountant and moved across the country with their kid, he lowkey became an alcoholic by trying to drink his sorrows away, and the gas station got robbed one night, which resulted in him almost getting shot for trying to fight off the assailant. safe to say now, he keeps a shotgun tucked away for future intimidation ( which he may or may not legally own ).
———— ◽️ 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒
he's lowkey insane. like homeboy has no qualms when it comes to protecting his territory and his people, and is no stranger to violence.
however crazy he may get, he has a soft spot for his family & employees. to make up for being so shitty when he was younger, boone does his best now to help out where he can and looks out for his own.
drives an old ford bronco, but also owns a loud af dirtbike that he rips around on at night to 'clear his head'.
checks in on his parents every so often bc as much as they tainted his childhood, they also showed him some sort of love in their own fucked up way.
still drinks almost every night, so he's always at a bar or lounge. would probably sing karaoke if he was drunk enough.
does a video call with his kid every day ( or every other day ) and faithfully pays out child support. while he misses his son, boone knows he's better off growing up away from hidehill.

✦ BENJAMIN WADSWORTH, GENDERQUEER, HE/THEY ✦ MICAH REALM the TWENTY FIVE year old has been in Hidehill for THEIR WHOLE LIFE and was a CLASSMATE to Lucas Johnson, the missing persons. Whispers on the streets are that the BOOK CLERK AT UNDERCOVER BOOKS who lives in HADLEY PARK are said to be INTUITIVE and NOSEY but I guess we’ll find out for ourselves.
Trigger Warning: Drug & Alcohol Abuse, physical abuse suggested
Meet: Micah Realm
Tell me are we posing, or are we juxtaposed?
full name: Micah Kian Realm nicknames: Realm (Micah has gone exclusively by Realm since high school with very few exceptions.)*** important note gender & pronouns: genderqueer & He/They age & date of birth: 25, April 4th 1998 where do they live: Hadley Park time living in Hidehill: His whole damn life occupation: Book Clerk at Undercover Books positive traits: Intuitive negative traits: Noseyface claim: Benjamin Wadsworth
background.
Call it a curse that nothing ever came easy to the Realm Brothers. Micah Realm being the youngest of the three never quite understood how at home all he wanted in the world was to disappear, while to the rest of the world he felt like a total ghost. It was like living in this limbo he could never get out of. The curse of being the youngest of three brothers in a small town. Micah was still small when his father abandoned them the first time. As far as his oldest brother was concerned, the man had fucked off after an argument with their mother but a much younger Micah felt as though he could never be certain of the truth. The feelings clearly wavering when a string of men started coming and leaving at what sometimes felt like all hours of the night. Most of them were unobservant to her three sons still living in the home, but every so often she’d catch a real nasty one who always seemed to feel like he had something to prove. Didn’t really matter. Even those types didn’t last.
Micah could remember the first time he made it home and their dad was back sitting in the same old arm chair he had before he’d left. A small part of him was hopeful that their random string of strangers had come to an end. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case. He’d always seemed to have a problem with liquor, but on the benders where he’d return home, he’d become someone Micah could barely recognize. After the first couple of times this had happened, his brothers would make a point of waiting out his stay as far from home as they could. Oftentimes spending time dragging Micah along to spend his time with crowds he barely felt he'd fit in with.
When his oldest brother eventually moved out, Micah wondered if he and his brother would be enough to survive their father’s gruesome returns home. He managed to distract himself most of the time with his writing. Something he’d picked up on the days where he decided to stay late in his English class. The days where all he wanted was to avoid having to go home if he feared his father might be there. Micah could remember being told by his English teacher to write what felt familiar. Something he knew. Something that interested him. A challenge for sure when he kept to himself as often as he did. Always wondering how he missed the social gene that seemed to envelop his older brothers. So instead he let himself become wrapped up in their lives. Found solace in the control it brought him to play make believe with the very real lives of his brothers friends.
He’d only had the idea in his head to start writing about them for a short time when his first chapter came to mind. A story about an incident he’d seen at one his brother’s band rehearsals. It really was all fun and games until someone gets hit in the face with a symbol. Something about some kid named Tommy going around telling people one of the groupies gave second rate hand jobs. A fascinating display and there was Micah writing down every last detail, every thought he had, and every word that was said throughout the experience penned. Being home never really felt like an option but prior to this, Micah was certain he would have rather bathed in ketchup than have to spend his evenings being ignored by a group of people who barely knew he existed. That night was the start of what he’s referred to as his chance at greatness. The beginning of his very first novel that he declared was going to be his ticket out of Hidehill.
After the incident, he started spending more and more time with his brother’s friends thinking himself incapable of making any of his own, until she came into his life. Emery had always been the kind of person, Micah never expected would be willing to look twice at him. Everything about her seemed too cool. Too far away from the limbo he'd grown so accustomed too. Even of the few relationships he had built over the course of the years, none of them really felt like his own. He was the younger brother. The side thought. Emery was the first person who saw him and made him feel like maybe perhaps, he really was person shaped. She was always so quick to share her music with him, and though it definitely took time, he eventually opened up to sharing his work with her as well. So to say it was a dream come true when they decided to take the next step and become physically intimate, despite their agreement that it didn't have to mean anything, would have been an understatement. And yet despite all the discussion they'd had Micah could have never prepared himself for how it would make him feel after. Or how much it would sting when so shortly after she entered her relationship with Axel. The very same Axel who would steal her away as though the whole thing had been nothing more than a dream.
In the years since Emery had left, Micah found himself returning to his mostly lonely writer esque ways. He kept an eye on her band, always quietly supporting her from the sideways, and hated the twist in his stomach that occurred when she was no longer on the bands posters. Despite this, his pride kept him from reaching out. Instead, in recent years, he's decided to take up an interest in the investigations happening around Hidehill. He can't feel like there's a story written into this somewhere and he's dedicated himself to finding out what it is.
Wanted Connections/Plots:
Family: As mentioned in the bio, Micah does have two older brothers. I would eventually love to try and get these filled. I will probably send in requests for them eventually but for now if you're interested come hit me up!
Trailer Mates: Try as he might, as much as I'm sure he'd love to be able to live alone, he definitely can't afford that. I'm also just a sucker for roommate plots. So come gimme a live in homie.
Book Club: Yes I'm aware this is a murder mystery RP. Yes I still want a soft wholesome little book club. SUE ME
Pen Pal: Gimme a cute lil pen pal relationship where maybe they send each other/ dish and share theories on the Shadow happenings in Hidehill.
More to come...

Meet Marlee
✦ BRITTANY O’GRADY, CIS FEMALE, SHE/HER ✦ MARLEE QUINN the TWENTY-SEVEN year old has been in Hidehill for NINE YEARS and was a FRIEND to Lucas Johnson, the missing persons. Whispers on the streets are that the 911 OPERATOR who lives in HIDE SQUARE are said to be ADAPTABLE and NOSY but I guess we’ll find out for ourselves. { MANDY, 36, PST, SHE/HER. }
full name: marlee grace quinn gender and pronouns: cisfemale she/her age and dob: 27 , June 2 1996 residence: hide square time living in hidehill: 9 years occupation: 911 dispatcher faceclaim: Brittany O'Grady positive attributes: adaptable, outgoing, observant negative attributes: nosy, untrusting, indecisive
BACKGROUND
Marlee had what she would describe as a fairly average childhood. Little hurts, the kind anyone and everyone experienced as they aged, graced her life in small waves; getting teased on the playground, that first friendship breakup, the first time a crush didn't like her back. Aside from those staples of youth, however, her existence blossomed in a bed of constant support from her parents. Her favorite book series as a child was called Nate the Great, featuring a child detective solving sometimes silly but always intriguing mysteries in his neighborhood. It became clear that Marlee loved a good mystery more than almost anything else in the world, gravitating towards all the Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Scooby Doo content she could get her hands on as a child. Her parents allowed the obsessive curiosity, if only because they thought it might feed into an interest in law or policing. They were fairly disappointed when it became clear that Marlee was a shipwreck when it came to deciding what she wanted to do with her life. There was too much to see, to explore, to ask questions about...how did one just toss their whole self into a finite commitment to one career path for the rest of their life?
When Marlee was 17 her curiosity took her into the attic of their Pennsylvania home. She'd been looking for some of her maternal grandmother's old clothes for a vintage party some friends were throwing. After two hours of rooting through dust covered boxes, she didn't find what she was looking for, but her life was forever changed by what she did find. A box full of newspaper clippings, documentations, a pocket watch and a pair of glasses, pictures of a man who looked to be in his late 20's, early 30's. A mystery...in her own home...in her families belongings. Marlee was immediately consumed, grabbing a photo and bringing it downstairs to show her mother...her mother who became tight lipped and somber. "That's your father's Dad...grandpa George." The family did not speak of her paternal grandparents. She'd inquired once as a child and all she'd been told was that Grandpa George had passed away when her father was only a year old. The box she'd discovered filled in more details to the vague story. This man she'd never met because the most fascinating person in the world...a man who'd gone to a small town in Tennessee for a business trip looking to potentially expand his business...and who had never returned. First missing, then a body found, one of many. Her family...of all families...restlessly tied to a horrific serial homicide.
Her parents didn't understand her intrigue. In fact they were increasingly uncomfortable every time Marlee brought it up. Even more so when she said she wanted to put college on hold and do some traveling...first stop a small town in Nashville. At 18 years old, made of nothing but youthful curiosity and impulses not yet able to be filtered through a fully formed frontal cortex, Marlee found herself in Hidehill. It was fascinating, the town seeming to be making toddling unsteady steps towards reclaiming a normal rhythm, but the scars of its past were there to see if you were looking for them. Marlee had only meant to stay for maybe a month; curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back. Instead she found herself falling in love with area, the rural farms mixed with a hint of city grit, the story of a city experiencing tragedy and trudging on. Marlee's parents tried to talk her out of it for a good six months, but lost the battle as she signed a lease for a cute little studio apartment in Hide Square, got herself a job as a 911 dispatcher. That was the career meant for her; so many mysteries, so many flashing moments of intrigue she got to partake in with faceless voices on the other line. For the first time in her life she felt content to be still, to settle just a little, ready to poke her nose about any little mysteries that might come her way.

an element of perfection in every action, the sound of familiar heels strutting down the hallway that insights fear, well-loved french cookbooks, hiding from her demons with every ounce of fight she can muster.
✦ WILLA FITZGARALD, CISFEMALE, SHE/HER ✦ LAUREL JONES the THIRTY-ONE year old has been in Hidehill for THREE WEEKS (SINCE RETURN). Whispers on the streets are that the CHEF AT VERDURE CAFE who lives in HOVE LAKE are said to be WELL-MANNERED and SANCTIMONIOUS but I guess we’ll find out for ourselves. WRITTEN BY MEL
TRIGGER WARNING: mental health, physical violence, death, cancer
⸻ 𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘
Laurel Lee Jones was born third in a family of four, her younger sister Heather Jones joining the family a couple of years later. While some might say that Laurel suffered from middle child syndrome, due to her constant need for perfection that manifested from a very early age, she would disagree. She had simply always been that way.
The Jones siblings barely had to lift a finger, thanks to the bricks and mortar of their lives born from the cases their father continued to win, a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. Their mother, a former hairdresser had always been present in her childrens day to day as long as Laurel had been alive.
Some might say that Laurel was an odd child, the kind who would rather make friends in books in opposition to speaking with actual people and who proclaimed she wouldn't speak for a year when she was seven. However, her mind was constantly turning. Even when she was silent.
She discovered food at the age of twelve, when her mother christened her a sous chef in the Jones family kitchen. From then on, it was a love affair for the ages. She would check out cookbooks alongside her mysteries and fantasy novels and she would experiment for the entire family. After some successes and some failures, her talent was undeniable.
School was never really a problem for Laurel. Not because she excelled in any particular academic subject (she was adequate, got by with a mixture of A's and B's), but because she found herself keeping her head down -- focused on getting out of Hidehill for what she believed was bigger things.
Laurel especially took notice of Heather, and the way she seemed to move about the world with such grace, one that she believe had skipped a generation and had been given to her sister in spades. Was she jealous? Maybe a little. Did she admire her? Most certainly.
While Laurel remembers her early life in bits and pieces, there is one particular day that will stick out to her for the rest of her life. She was seventeen, and while things had gone on as normal -- she had come home to her mother and father waiting in the living room with the rest of her siblings. Amanda Jones had cancer. And there wasn't very much time left.
Following her mother's passing, Laurel tried to swallow the agony as much as she could. Move forward, chase her dreams as her mother would have always wanted. While her grief did not show itself on the outside as much as some might normally deem socially acceptable (even if it is not one's place to define such a poignant emotion), on the inside, she had never felt so overwhelmed. Tired. Broken.
Laurel isn't soulless -- rather stoic would be the better term. She isn't quite sure why she is the way she is, but she certainly has no intention of changing it. She cares deeply for the people around her, especially her siblings, even if she can't always find the words.
Perhaps one of the crowned jewels of Laurel's life was when she was accepted to Le Cordon Bleu in the heart of Paris, one of the most well-recognized hubs for French cooking. She caught the attention of many of her professors and was offered a high-ranking position following her graduation. Of course she accepted, without a second thought. Even if after all she had been through, she probably should have had many.
The loss of her mother that she made no hesitation to avoid. The pressure and expectations that come with being in one of the elite chef academies in the world. This was just the tip of the iceberg.
When the murder spree began in Hidehill -- Laurel had wondered for a time if she should put her career in france on pause. Her family was in danger. Nothing was more important than family. However, with a certain amount of reassurance, especially from her brother Harrison, Laurel stayed put. Checked the news. Went about her routine.
Three months ago, everything came to a head after a critic spoke ill of her work. He was an asshole, sure. A known one, someone who tended to speak very ill of women cooking in fine dining. Either way, Laurel took his words to heart. In a fit of rage she ended up throwing a pan, one that nearly missed a busboy. She was fired immediately, as expected. The greatest of them are far from invincible.
She stayed in Paris during this time, ashamed of her action and with no intention of heading back home. However, she never expected to wake up to one specific headline: Harrison Jones found dead. Her older brother had not only been brutally murdered, but was being pegged a killer.
Laurel had held onto a property of hers, one she stayed in to visit family in Hove Lake. Thank god she had, because it allowed her to pack up her things and rush home to be with her siblings.
Even if she feels like she's still catching up with everything that's happened and is aware of the evidence presented against her brother, Laurel finds herself looking back on her life -- wondering where everything went wrong and if there was something she could have done to stop it. Something she could have done to save him.
Not only is she trying to catch up with everything that she has missed, but she still feels like she is trying to catch up to herself. She began seeking therapy after the incident in France, and is continuing to do so since her arrival in Hidehill.
Being back in the kitchen, this time in Hidehill at Verdure seems like an entirely different speed. It is comforting, the faces of Hidehill that she serves being nothing but warm and appreciative. In a way, it is allowing her to heal.
⸻ 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐒
A very buttoned-up, professional dresser. A common outfit formula is a button-down shirt, slack and a nice pair of heels. Despite the stench of Harlow Estates that comes with spending one's childhood there, she isn't drawn to labels and such, but owns clothing more so for its practicality.
She has kept what happened in France a secret from everyone, including her siblings. Her embarrassment seems to take precedent over telling the truth in that regard.
Some may consider her Hove Lake home rather quaint, with rustic furniture and a scenic overlook. However, it's no secret that Laurel has always preferred a simple, quiet life.
When it comes to her love life, Laurel is no stranger to no strings attached. It's easier that way, no one to burden. At least, that's what she believes.
MORE TO COME.

✦ CARLY ROSS the THIRTY TWO year old has been in Hidehill for HER ENTIRE LIFE. Whispers on the streets are that the THERAPIST who lives in HARTLEY AVENUE are said to be HARDWORKING, CARING and GUARDED but I guess we’ll find out for ourselves✦
tw: mentions of infidelity, parental death
Name: Carly Ross (She/her)
FC: Emmy Rossum
Age: 32 (She’s a libra, I can feel it in my bones)
Living in: Harley Avenue
Occupation: Therapist
Aesthetic-y things: “You’re on your own kid” by Taylor Swift || But also “August” by Taylor Swift ||Cigarettes in between therapy sessions || Messy Hair and Yesterdays make up || Late night work sessions with a bottle of wine || Infectious laughter || Do no harm but take no shit || Work hard play hard
Growing up: Carly had lived in hide hill her entire life. To her knowledge, she’s an only child, but how she grew up- one could never be too sure. She had a generally happy childhood growing up, until the age of ten. When it came to light that her father cheated on her mother, things started falling apart. The divorce was quick, her mother wasting no time. Young Carly was bouncing in between homes, watching her mother struggle to make bills while her father got to play house with a new family. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t too far into her teens did she start lashing out against him. Dad tried putting her through therapy- with terrible therapists that she despised. She instead started spending more time with Mom, when she wasn’t working and trying to contribute to the house.
College into adulthood: Carly left town briefly, on a fast track to a master’s degree in mental health. She loved living on a college campus, she loved having her own space, he own time, she could relax and learn the way she wanted to. She put everything into school, and busted her ass to get to where she is today. Her mom passed away before she could graduate, and dad did not dare to show his face.
Now: She’s back in Hidehill, working out of an office space she rents to provide therapy. She loves her job, will work with anyone who needs it, but has a soft spot for kids stuck in custody battles. She often partners with the local schools and hospitals when they need support. She lives with her Cat Rosco, who often comes to the office with her. Eventually she wants to open her own clinic. ✦ KATIE MCGRATH, CISFEMALE, SHE/HER ✦ REAGAN DUNNE the THIRTY-FIVE year old has been in Hidehill for TWO DAYS and was a STRANGER to Carter Thompson, one of the shadows. Whispers on the streets are that the LA VELA SECURITY who lives in HIDE SQUARE are said to be MOODY and RESOURCEFUL but I guess we’ll find out for ourselves.
FULL NAME: reagan claude dunne NICKNAMES: reagan, rea, rc AGE: 35 / february 13th, 1988 GENDER & PRONOUNS: cisfemale, she/her FACECLAIM: katie mcgrath HEIGHT: 5’5” SEXUALITY: bisexual OCCUPATION: security at la vela
( tw: infidelity )
reagan claude dunne, born february 13th, 1988, her mother was working as an escort before she finally came to the picture, as her father isn’t in it, a topic which she has prohibited a young reagan to ever talk about. maybe it was the very first thing that has caused the disconnect between the mother and daughter, feeling like her mother was walled up, that she didn’t know her. in return, reagan started to keep things to herself. this has caused a rift on her path, leading her to meet people that would do nothing good in her life. a bad apple is the simplest way that one could ever describe her at a young age, of course, she’d still be in school, but instead of doing the things kids her age usually does, exploring the world, learning, she was also out in the streets, lifting watches, wallets, you name it, it would disappear into thin air and into her pockets. she had learned all these to survive, to, in a way, lighten the burden of her mother providing for the both of them without her knowing, since she’d be working for someone older and would be having her share. the small petty crimes eventually get bigger as she gets older. reagan was a smart, young woman, with her potential wasted in the streets and not where she could be and deserved to be.
reagan slowly moved up to ranks, and she was earning way more than what would get her and her mother through the day, which did make her question her daughter at one point, but believed, trusted that it was clean money, that she was just good at her job, well, of course, reagan was, her mother just didn’t know the whole nature of it. it was where she also met the very person whom she thought was going to be by her side forever, someone she could consider her partner, not just with their work, but her life. they had recently become the brainpower of the whole operation, which reagan was the fence, shipping stolen goods, jewelries, fake artworks, you name it, who made sure things kept moving accordingly to how it should be, somehow the face of it all. everything was going the way reagan had envisioned for it to be, but all of it was just a nice thought, somewhat a dream.
when she was met the slap of reality out of nowhere.
one morning, the couple woke up with their door being kicked down by authorities who had been watching her for months, given how she had been the face, it was her name on the papers, her signatures, she had unknowingly let herself take the fall of it all, with who was supposedly the person she considered her partner washed their hands clean and claimed that they had no idea about the nature of reagan’s work, their work. she had not said a worth throughout, not even with a lawyer, and accepted the consequences. though, before she was sent to prison for her sentence, her mother met with her, and had revealed to her as to why she had never told her anything about her father. reagan was a product of infidelity, and that...she actually has a half-brother. brandon harris. the name lived in her head for years, her mind deadset on meeting him, perhaps the reason she had been released earlier due to good behavior.
it was that very knowledge that had caused for reagan to start cleaning her act up, it may be many years too late, but she wanted for her brother to meet her and not see the way she was before, but what she is trying to change into, for the better. to not be the selfish woman she once was, just live a life as normal as she could. though, would that be possible when she finds out that the town her brother lives in is far from normal itself?

Growing up Rory never got along with his parents. He despised his dad as he was an abusive ass towards his mother and him growing up.
His mum would never leave him and turned to drinking as a coping mechanism which left Rory to bring himself up.
His childhood home was in Hartley Avenue and he left the home when he finally hit 18, he couldn’t stand to be around them anymore and moved into a trailer on Hadley Park.
He had no plan on what he wanted to do so he got a job at Fast Gas as a cashier and never left.
In school he was best friends with Campbell Ford and Jordan Hayes.
In his high school years he cheated on his then girlfriend with Campbell’s girlfriend and the friendship group fell apart as well as his relationship too.
He didn’t really care that he lost everyone, he is an asshole who does what he wants, when he wants and doesn’t care who he hurts in the process.
Rory moved into his apartment in Hide Square once he saved up enough from his bartending job for the deposit
He owns a Hennessey Mammoth 1000 TRX in black

BIOGRAPHY
Zehra was born and raised in Hidehill. She was an only child to Hande and Ahmet, though her parents wanted more they knew financially they couldn’t support anymore children other than Zee.
She grew up in a large, close-nit family and was always very close with her cousins. She would often spend weekend sleeping at her grandparents house with all of her cousins and would often go on trips to zoo’s and parks.
Zehra discovered her love for singing after her Grandad bought her and her cousins a karaoke machine at Christmas for when they visited on the weekends. They realised she had a natural talent and though they couldn’t afford to put her into lessons they decided to buy her a karaoke machine for at home too and her parents have lots of home made videos of her singing her little heart out.
her grandad passed and she was absolutely devastated by this, she felt like she lost her best friend and for months she barely left her home. She wrote songs which even to this day she can’t read back.
A year after his passing she auditioned for the xfactor with four of her friends as a girl group nammed ‘Femme Fatale’. Her mum encouraged her and it the best thing that ever happened to her.
She gained this lifestyle she never thought she could have, she was able to give her parents and grandma a life they truly deserved and its all she could have ever asked for.
Femme Fatale consisted of 4 girls and went on to release 6 studio albums and achieve 5 number one singles.
Eventually one of the girls left due to differences (wc) and Zehra, Sasha and (tba) went on to continue as a trio before announcing their hiatus.

⸻ 𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘
Bohdi Sharma was born in London, England into a family of academics. It made sense that he was to follow in their footsteps, become another member of the pack.
His parents were lovely, all things considered. Unlike the experience of some who bare the title as a child of an academic, he never felt pressured to follow a path he did not want to.
Not only did he seem heavily inclined to follow his own destiny for he never once questioned it, but the academic gifts he possessed were marveled at by teachers and peers. He loved to learn, constantly looking for even more information to nurture his mind.
Not only was he admired by his teachers, but he was well loved by his peers. He played soccer in high school, even going as far as to become the captain of the team his senior year.
Upon his graduation, he was off to the states with every intention to become a lawyer. First undergrad, then law school. It was here that he settled down in Hidehill, Tennesee.
When Bohdi falls in love, he falls deeply. That's what happened when he fell for Valencia Gomez. She wasn't just perfect in his eyes, but she was perfect for him.
When he met her, he was a scared law student who was so riddled with uncertainty -- that he believed he could never give her what she deserved. A life. And yet, he was so blinded by love that he fell headfirst. Even so far as to getting down on one knee.
Bohdi was a good student, especially thriving in law school. He had a beautiful fiancée, a roof above his head and something he was passionate about. However, he would soon go on to sabatoge himself, just as he had always had a tendency to do.
Part of him knew what he was getting into, knowing that the woman he loved had a career in porn. However, his own mind had prayed on his downfall. His insecurities, many that came from being engaged so young manifested into believing that he would never be enough for her, that the other men were somehow better than him. And so, he left. She became a chapter closed, and it was all his fault.
Finishing law school became harder. His body felt heavy, but he soon became conditioned when it came to turning everything off. Soon, things didn't become so heavy anymore.
He had never been the kind of person who needed much, valuing efficiency over luxury. And so, he moved into a small place in Hide Square and gradually made it all his own.
He's been at Atwood Legal since graduation, something that causes people to wonder if he's under the family's thumb. Even so, having consistency in his life continues to keep him grounded.
To his friends, Bohdi is very happy and bubbly. However, deep down there is more going on than actually meets the eye. He doesn't always reveal these emotions out of fear of burdening the people that he cares for.
⸻ 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐒
Doesn't really know how to do casual. Mainly wears button up shirts and suit jackets.
Bohdi has started to wonder if being a defense attorney is worth it for him anymore, especially knowing that if Carter hadn't pled guilty, it could very well have been him fighting to get him off.
Keeps a lot of journals, each with distinctly neat handwriting.
Maintaining control in his life at times is more important than it should be. Sometimes, it's too a point that he's not even aware of just how much it matters to him.
He is unaware of what happened with Valencia after he left. Like, completely. She's only recently reentered his life, as he's been more or less avoiding her as she is a manifestation of his guilt.
more to come.

✦ MADELYN CLINE, CIS FEMALE, SHE/HER ✦ NATALIE ANDERSON the TWENTY FOUR year old has been in Hidehill for HER ENTIRE LIFE and was a FAMILY FRIEND to Carter Thompson, one of the shadows. Whispers on the streets are that the LIFEGUARD AT FIG BEACH who lives in HOVE LAKE are said to be AFFABLE and IMPULSIVE but I guess we’ll find out for ourselves.
BASICS
NAME: Natalie Veronica Anderson
AGE: Twenty Four
BIRTHDAY: 31st July
GENDER & PRONOUNS: Cis female/she and her
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
OCCUPATION: Lifeguard @ Fig Beach
BIOGRAPHY
the only daughter of a commercial fisherman and an in-home therapist, natalie grew up in hove lake. she'd always been a happy child and never went without — some would say she was spoiled, but she was taught how fortunate she was compared to the others around her.
she grew up around her mother's work, often seeing her patients or 'clients' as she would refer to them as, in the house, and would often spy on her sessions through a cracked door. it fascinated her that people thought her mother could fix their problems.
after the tragedies in the '70s, both of her parents became overly protective of natalie and for a lot of her life she was sheltered, not that she minded — because she didn't know any better. that was until she got to high school, and her strict curfew became a problem for her social life.
up until that point, she'd lived a relatively normal life, but the pressure to be someone to her teenage peers became overwhelming. she became the type of girl to sneak out of her room in the middle of the night, go to house parties, get roaring drunk and end up losing her virginity to an older guy in some dingy basement. it wasn't her proudest moment, but it kept her in the limelight.
after high school, she worked with her dad for awhile before becoming a lifeguard at fig beach. she couldn't think of a better job than sitting around all day on a beach in a swimsuit. six years later, she's still there and loving it.
her family were friends with the thompsons, and although natalie didn't know carter all too well, she never expected him to be accused of what he had been. even with his guilty plea, something didn't sit right with her.
natalie still lives at home with her parents and has a pet dog that is her pride and joy called pepper. despite her brief stint in high school, she hasn't really lived and you would often find her drifting through town with her head in a book or humming some show tune to herself, if not at sunbathing on beach or at the lake.
POTENTIAL CONNECTIONS
Best friend: Someone who Natalie has known most, if not all, of her life. The only person she really trusts.
Bad influence: Probably the person that introduced Natalie to the house party scene in high school. Maybe even helped her sneak out.
The V card: The older guy she lost her virginity to.

CONNECTIONS | PINTEREST
HISTORY
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Gabriel Castillo was supposed to be the solution to his parents' troubles; a partnership that had bred more from convenience and familial pressure than actual love. To no real shock, he was not the magic marital fix they had been looking for, but they had another child just to be sure.
Bound by some kind of unspoken duty to the family they had created, Luis and Amalia Castillo held it together as well as they could for the sake of the children. Amalia, a primary school teacher was the heart of the family while Luis, a labourer was the enforcer.
Early life for Gabriel wasn't a dream but it wasn't altogether terrible until the company his father worked for went under and he was made redundant. Work at the time was hard to come by and the dynamic shift of being the man of the house to relying on his wife to support them was difficult for Luis, and he found himself out more often at night, stumbling home late from bars, reeking of alcohol and cigarettes. Amalia remained stoic, putting up with more than any person should, turning a blind eye to his antics until one night she'd had enough and confronted him about his behaviour. In a drunken stupor, Luis struck her across the cheek in front of Gabriel. That was enough for her to pack her and the children up, leaving for anywhere that was far from him.
They came to settle in Hidehill; Amalia drawn to its small-town charm and sense of community. She got a part-time position as a substitute teacher at the primary school and Gabe was enrolled as a freshman at Hide High. Knowing that a single part-time wage wouldn't be enough to sustain them, he got an after school job as well as working at Ormond's on the weekends. He took it upon himself to assume the role of man of the house, and did his best to help provide for his Mom and sister.
Shortly after Gabriel turned 18, his father tried to reconnect with him for the first time to tell him he'd gotten sober, found work again and wanted to repair their relationship. Still holding onto to a lifetime's worth of boyhood resentment and chip still firmly placed on his shoulder, Gabe ignored him. Luis tried more times to make contact for a few years, but it wasn't until he informed his son that he had terminal cancer did Gabe take notice. Gabe was in the middle of a six-month intensive firefighting training course at the time, and his father passed away before he had a chance to schedule a time to (reluctantly) go and see him. He was notified a short time later that Luis had elected him to divide up the estate as next-of-kin. He was freshly 21 with the world at his fingertips, instead he used the money to buy his mother a house in Hove Lake; where she'd often expressed she'd love to retire to one day.
Shortly after he became a fully qualified firefighter, Gabriel was asked to transfer to a branch in Minnesota. At the insistence of his Mom he agreed to go, and spent six years there; returning every Christmas and birthday without fail. When Amalia became sick, he requested a transfer back to Hidehill and moved into the Hove Lake house to take care of her until she died three years ago.
HEADCANONS
Gabriel has always been naturally physically fit and was a gifted athlete in high school. In his senior year he was offered a sporting scholarship to go to a college out of state but he turned it down to stay with his family. Plus, he had no desire to go to college and study.
Gabriel is a vehement family man and has always wanted a family of his own, but it has just never worked out for him.
While he tries to stay measured as much as possible, Gabe has a very short fuse and has been known to engage in a fist fight or two.
