Why became vegan?

Well.. I watched a documentary called Earthlings. The documentary changed my life.

Cowspiracy and Okja.. showed the fear.. the pain.. the terror.. the mistreatment.. and the abuse innocent animals suffer at our hands. And I realized was directly participating in their killing by consuming their flesh(first flesh awareness). I was paying for that grave injustice.

I later realized it's not just the meat industry that is abhorrent. The egg and dairy industries also cause immense suffering and death.

I have always taught my kids to love and respect animals (in another moment I will talk about my vegan children).. but at that point I realised I couldn’t possibly love animals and eat them simultaneously. It made no sense!

Found it so hard to give up cheese.

My sister took me back to his house afterwards and made me try vegan cheese. I did not find it as nice, but i was so motivated i wanted to really try and make an effort.

Veganism is not a lifestyle, not another diet. Veganism is what we do when we agree that harming the animals unnecessarily is wrong.

I feel strong, healthy and light. But most of all, I do not feel guilty for making harm to animals, planet Earth and myself. I feel that I'm somehow trying to make everything better.

Today my family don't eat or use anything of animal origin.

No fish too?

Ein Letztes Mal durch die Nacht, Vergangenes mit anderen Augen sehen.

-Zügel locker lassen und den Sprung vom hohen Ross des Stolzes ins Ungewisse wagen. In dem Wissen, dass die Landung hart wird.

-Einsehen worin man sich selbst enttäuscht und dem eigenen Ego den Kampf ansagen, welches einen so oft verleitete, Einem die Beine brach. Kurz vor dem Ziel.

-Die Vergangenheit und Zukunft nicht mitspielen zu lassen, sondern stattdessen die Gegenwart zu ändern um wieder Sonne abzubekommen.

-Vergessen wie es war zu lieben was einen zerstört und anzufangen, zu erkennen was man braucht nicht was man ‚Will!‘.

-Wege zu gehen die einem unbeschreitlich scheinen und am Ziel die Augen nach vorne zu richten statt zurück.

All dies sind Dinge die ich nie tat, nie eingesehen habe oder als Hürden garnicht erkannte.

Dinge von denen ich glaubte sie zu wissen, verinnerlicht zu haben durch tausend Narben.

Narben von denen ich glaubte sie würden den Nutzen haben mich zu beschützen.

Doch wovor ?

Schutz davor Dinge hinter sich zu lassen die einen runterziehen ?

Schutz davor zu erkennen was das Richtige für einen selbst ist, aus Angst jemand anderem zu schaden ?

Einsicht ist der erste weg zur Besserung doch was danach folgt müssen wir entscheiden.

Für uns selbst.

Erkenntnisse zu missachten ist die höchste Form wissen zu entgehen, wissen welches uns bewahrt, vor Fehlern die wir schon einmal begingen.

Zu verinnerlichen wo man sich selbst belügt und diese Sachen grundlegend zu ändern ist nicht leicht aber auch nicht unmöglich.

Oft ist es nur ein Wort, ein Schritt, eine Tat.

Zu reflektieren hilft oft zu erkennen wie man sich selbst manipuliert, sich selbst in Schutz nimmt vor schmerzhaften Erinnerungen die einem Angst einjagen, jedoch genau aus diesem Grund schmerzhaft sind weil wir noch nicht damit abgeschlossen haben.

Zu wissen wo man sich selbst belügt tut weh, doch noch mehr wird es wehtun wenn man es immer wiederholt. Sich selbst einredet ,das wird schon‘.

Zu erkennen dass, da wo eine Sache verkehrt lief wahrscheinlich noch mehr Dinge sind an denen man arbeiten muss ist nicht schön, doch noch viel hässlicher ist es zu ignorieren was man weiß ohne etwas dagegen zu tun.

Ein Haus nieder brennen zu lassen in dem sich etwas befindet das man liebt.

Vor Wut dinge kurz und klein schlagen die einem viel bedeuteten wegen eines kleinen Fehlers, den man vielleicht selbst beging.

Nichts zu sagen obwohl es nötig ist genau wie sprechen wenn es nicht sein sollte.

Sein selbst gehen zu lassen im Tausch gegen Drogen und Rausch.
