OH MY GOD I DIDN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT THE POSSIBLE LANGUAGE BARRIER THAT MAKES THIS SO MUCH FUNNIER-

for the most part they stay hidden when it comes to fights since Their Reveal Needs To Be Cool If We Want To Impress Our Awesome Older Brother, but they're also still children ages 9 - 14/15. It's honestly pure luck and the fact the Bucci Gang were too busy fighting off La Squadra that they weren't found

but also

oh my god, when they eventually reveal themselves they can't even explain shit, that's going to be hysterical

none of them have any idea where these Literal Children came from and none of them recognise them, least of all Giorno, but for some reason they seem absolutely obsessed with him and there isn't much they can do on that front

maybe at some point the kids end up trying to explain, but it just raises....... questions

ie, all four of them show the star birthmarks on their necks, Giorno suddenly gets hit with the Weird Joestar Ability To Sense Other Joestars, and while it answered..... maybe two questions they had (being "how did they track us" and "why are they interested in Giorno") but in the process raised about 60 more, the most prominent being What The Fuck

obviously the kids can't explain it's a Joestar Genetic Thing, so now the whole Gang are starting to wonder What Exactly this perfect identical purple star mark could possibly mean while trying to fight off the Boss's personal guard. Giorno knows he's always had the mark ever since he was a kid and sure it was weird, but now he's starting to over think things and wonder "hey is this actually a birthmark..... or is it something else"

fun times all around and of course the kiddos are almost completely oblivious to this crisis they've incited because they're still super excited about being able to hang out with their brother

also, Polnareff 110% has a heart attack when he sees the kids. It's been years (I headcanon Pol got sent to Italy about the time where Jotaro went to Morioh) but he recognises them almost immediately and starts to wonder What The Fuck Is Going On Why Are My Nephews And Niece Here Does Jotaro Know Where They Are Why Does Jolyne Have A Stand Don't Worry Sweetie I'm Super Proud But Also What Do You Mean Someone Stabbed You With The Arrow-

at the very least, when it's all said and done he gets to serve as a translator and Actually Explain Things

he is not looking forward to the phone call with Jotaro about why his kids are halfway across the world

A small idea: AU where Gravity works against Pucci, and Rikiel is taken into the Joestar fold at some point, anywhere from before Stone Ocean starts to in its endgame. The rod boi deserves some love.

okay but what if I take it a step further and somehow, someway all three of the brothers manage to get found by Jotaro and Jolyne as kids. Like, purely through Gravity Bullshit and accidentally meeting them and slowly forging bonds

Ungalo and Jolyne bumped into each other at the movie theatre for a Disney movie and clicked immediately, practically giving the whole movie a hushed commentary and promised to meet later to do this again

during a trip to the hospital when Jolyne got really sick and (Jotaro's actually there this time) she ends up befriending the really anxious kid she shared a room with and decides she wants to be friends with him so her parents exchange information with his mom

Jotaro was nearby when Donatello gets arrested and ends up being called in as a witness to vouch for what he meant by "they fell from the sky." After the trial is over and he learns exactly why Donatello was there and pulls some strings with the SWF to make sure he gets put in a good home

Jotaro probably realises who they are pretty quick, but just because they're Dio's kids doesn't erase the fact they're Joestars. They didn't ask for their father to be who he was, and they're completely innocent

plus, Jolyne would never forgive him if he ever mistreated her favorite cousins

fast forward to 2001 and Giorno learns that not only does he have a very large extended family, but three younger half brothers as well

also I think it would be funny that when Jotaro sends Koichi to Italy, the Brando kids just...... follow him. They used their Stands to pull it off without anyone noticing and the whole time the Bucci Gang is doing their whole thing they're being followed by some barely teenagers (Donatello would be 15 and Rikiel and Ungalo would be 13/14) who are On A Mission

hell, who knows maybe they even get Jolyne (who's 9ish I think) in on it because she's basically their sister and she wants to meet their new older brother!!!

so from the top:

yes, Dio did in fact fuck a mer. I'm tempted to say that he didn't actually realise she was a mer at first, but given how good of a hunter he is that might not work. However, if/when he does find out he keeps her around because of the incentive of her luring more mers in. Again, who knows if that actually works, but Giorno's bio mom is killed shortly after he's born but before she is she ends up hiding him in the town of Naples amongst the humans to at least try and give him a shot at life

as for Dio's longevity, I was thinking that could be his side affect of getting stabbed with the arrow. Instead of getting any specific trait, his aging has kinda just....... slowed down to the point it's basically nonexistent. Maybe he got traits from a bowhead whale, which can live to 200 years, or for shits and giggles the ocean quahog, a clam, which can live to 500

and now for the meat of my thoughts for this: the Bucci Gang :)

SO, for the most part, I was thinking capo's are kinda like commanders. Like how Bucciarati still had a team before he became capo in canon, Bucciarati is still the captain of the ship before his impromptu promotion. The capo's are the ones that control and command an area of Passione's territory and all the ships who "operate" in that area. Bucciarati had been a captain for quite a while before he became capo, and honestly there had been talk of the man being promoted to capo for some time. Polpo's death and his promotion felt more like an inevitability then anything else, and was met with very little pushback

and Narancia is ABSOLUTELY their crow's nest guy. He's basically got a whole setup up there with pillows and snacks. And while I do adore the idea of giving him echo location, I was also thinking of giving him some i n s a n e l y good eye sight (and maybe his eyes look a little weird as a result :3). He doesn't even need to use a spyglass to look out

and with Fugo, absolutely 100% yes there, let's give him so many touch issues. Personally I vote for giving him some traits of a reef stonefish, aka the most venomous fish in the whole world. Maybe unlike the others Fugo is actually part mer instead of getting his stuff via the arrow, but it's pretty distant so he can't transform and just has some spines and discolouration on his skin.

I..... admittedly don't have too many thoughts for Bucciarati or Abbacchio. For Abba I'm SO tempted to give him some manta ray, if only for the vibes with Moody Blues and to possibly give him some little nubs on his head that he has to hide. Also it could be a funny excuse for why he's so tall. He was average height before he got stabbed, then when he did he grew a foot and a half

Mista though, that one I do have an idea for, and that's for him to be the resident Normie Guy. He's the only full blooded human on the team who managed to not get stabbed, and as such he's also the most at risk of drowning. Ofc, this also means he's the one that falls off the ship the most

the first cat was Mista's, her name is Canon, and he was absolutely ecstatic when he realised there would be More Cats. When they were born he named them each ofter different kinds of long ranged weaponry, but much to his frustration nobody could remember and they started calling them by numbers instead. To make things even worse, because four other people were calling them by said numbers, the kittens ended up learning that as their names instead

to try and make him feel not as bad, they call them as a group the Pistols, but the damage was already done 😔

just. The Joestar family are essentially literal legends. Jonathan used to be Dio's friend and companion, protecting his ship and crew by swimming alongside them until one day he was betrayed and his skeleton was then hung up like a skeleton and ever since the family has distanced themselves from humans, save for Speedwagon and Erina since they were Jonathan's close friends

now the whole series has been shoved to the water. Maybe George II was a half-human who just kept growing until he had to be moved to he water permanently, but fell in love with his childhood friend Elizabeth who would visit him and even bought a home on the seaside. Maybe one day she was followed and George was slaughtered, and while she was able to get revenge she was forced on the run to escape legal repercussions

now thanks to Erina and Speedwagon she lives on an island far by the coast and almost an hour away from anyone else where she does her best to teach and raise her son in peace. Being only 1/4 mer Joseph could probably pass as a human, albeit a pretty large one, but there are some traits he struggles to hide should any person try to get too close, like having slightly strange eyes and patches of scales and gills

Suzie was a mer who'd pass through at regular times in the year and she and Joseph slowly fell in love with each other. They'd go on long swims into the sunset and stare at all kinds of plant life. Joseph would bring Susie all kinds of Land Foods to share and he learns how to cook specifically so he can share it with her. Susie tells him all about her travels around the world and deep in the ocean and brings back souvenirs. It didn't surprise anyone when they announced their marriage and Joseph purchased a boat so he and Susie could travel together

Holly grew up in the ocean and on a boat. She would swim alongside her mother and father as they travelled, going where she pleases. Susie and Joseph weren't surprised when she fell in love with the musician who would always play his songs by the sea. When Jotaro is born, he has a sort of a split custody of sorts. For the school year he lives with his father on land and attends human classes, and then during the summer break and any other long breaks he travels the ocean with his mom and interacts with other mers

you forgot about Beach Boy, but even still although it's a fishing rod it still has some rather obvious Magic Things, like how the hook and line can go through solid objects and float around, plus the glowing line and bright colors. Your point still stands tho, since while the Emperor is weird looking it's not exactly Stand weird. The issues with the gun are only really obvious to people who are familiar with guns (see: Mista) and otherwise nobody would look twice

Hol Horse is a bit salty he can't do any of his cool tricks and mourns the loss, but it's a small price to pay. In the months spent undercover he has soooooo many ideas for new tricks to try out when things are safer

but also y e a h. I'm rotating Hol and his character growth since Stardust so hard in this AU and nobody can stop me. Just. Over the years him growing to love and value Polnareff and their love. How he doesn't need what they have but wants it, and when faced with the possibility of losing it he realizes he's willing to fight to keep it. That he's willing to throw it all away if it means there's even a chance Pol is still alive

but also on a much more humorous note, Hol Horse becomes Mista's weird Guncle. They bicker back and forth almost constantly and the Pistols are always pranking him, but at the same time if anything happened to the other they'd probably go on a warpath

I didn't know that existed but I think it's hilarious because it is the ultimate Sword VS Gun couple who also can't go five steps without something happening to them

you know what a power couple is? yeah they're the opposite of that. They're both complete disasters and no one's sure how they haven't accidentally died and/or killed each other yet, least of all them

also now I have the mental image of the two somehow managing to keep a good relationship for years and come Part 5 Hol Horse just shows up and fucking. Shoots Diavlo through the skull simply because Diavlo didn't know the gun was a Stand and didn't make King Crimson move

the mental image of the Echoes Acts being like a DIY In Progress Requiem Stand is fucking hysterical, I'm taking that idea for the future-

I'd imagine the Dice Backlash is only triggered if you interfere with the dice directly. Messing with nearby surfaces probably wouldn't count, but only to a certain degree. Like, let's say the dice is just about to roll to a stop and you mess with the surface. That would probably get you a penalty, but if the dice is still in the middle of bounding around it'll probably be fine

Requiem Stands are honestly a gamble. Definitely depends on what exactly the Requiem Stand does. For example, SCR might only be able to mildly affect it by making a person's Stand interfere with the dice results, but GER might be able to render the roll completely null. I don't think it would be able to change the roll, rather just making it completely useless in general. Diavlo could roll a Nat 20 only for GER to come in and make it worthless. As for the designs, I think it would just add to the dice instead of overwriting the old design

and YESSSSSS WITH THE POSSIBLE INTIMACY OF OTHERS. Because like. The dice are their fate. Their life, their future, everything rests in how those little things decide to roll. By trusting someone else with holding them, with rolling them, that's trusting them with everything. I'd imagine there would be some Fated Universal Thing preventing people for getting their dice rolled without their consent, probably the same thing that makes sure you can't loose your dice even if you don't want them. Maybe if the person the dice belong to doesn't want it to happen, the outcome of the roll will just do. Absolutely nothing

and ooooooooo that's a fun idea with Heaven's Door 👀👀👀 It gives Rohan an even better look at the person he's reading, and in a fight it gives him a better idea of where they fall short and he could beat them

oh are we doing fun au night? ok au where the land of jojo's bizarre universe is just like dnd for all the stats and mathy bits. Like they don't have the same races or class or magic or whatever, they all just have a page with all their stats and notable information and everyone has to roll dice for almost everything (except for this where you're so good at doing it there's virtually no way to mess it up, like ringing a doorbell or something) but anyway I just think it'd be funny that Jonathan rolls like a 19 on the killing blow for Dio but because it wasn't a perfect 20 he barely survives. Just a thought

basically the way the AU went was that at birth, every single person in the world has a special set of dice. It's impossible to steal, destroy or lose them, and any attempt to do so will backfire horribly on the person who tries. The stats and modifiers you mentioned are invisible to everyone except the person they belong to, and dice rolls happen whether the person wants it to or not, but most people prefer rolling the dice themselves for some semblance of control

so some possible thoughts:

what if Jonathan did roll a Nat 20 but because of Dio's new Vampiric Modifiers he managed to just barely survive

in turn, during the Stardust fight, Jotaro then manages to just barely defeat Dio as a bit of fun irony

Joseph's That Guy who seems to be perpetually cursed with shitty rolls EXCEPT for when it actually matters and he randomly starts getting back to back Nat 20s

Pucci is arguably even more of a fanatic this time because the Dice are essentially a "physical" manifestation of Fate
