Stinger🧫🦠

Yozuke’s quirk is similar to a scorpion in functionality. The tip of his tail has a retractable stinger and it has a potent venom. Yozuke’s venom has only gotten stronger with age but as of current it causes paralysis, vertigo, and muscle pain, it then attacks the nervous and respiratory system causing spasms and eventual death if untreated. The downside is Yozuke’s venom is essential for his body to survive so loosing too much results in death. This is because his liver and kidneys are much stronger than the average person constantly filtering his own venom in his body, thus when there’s nothing to filter it causes these organs to shut down. Because of his highly powerful filtering organs most poisons, drugs, alcohol don’t affect him. His quirk is also registered, and his venom is traceable. So essentially if he stings someone his venom is traceable to him and he can face legal action. Yozuke’s tail is also extremely bright, making stirikes easier to predict.

Due to Yozuke being a chemist he’s created his own sort’ve ‘anti venom’ for himself. However all this does is makes his venom untraceable and prevent death as he doesn’t actually want the burden of taking a life on his shoulders. He has some morals.

Yozuke’s life was fairly normal as a baby and small child, he was an absolute mama’s boy and simply just never really cared for his dad- though when he was seven he went to the hospital with his parents and his mom just never came home after that night. Not actually understanding the permanence or concept of death being so young he was confused and angry and made a habit of acting out throwing temper tantrums, arguing, or just being a cheeky shit (drawing on the walls breaking cups etc) he’d start to somewhat mellow out, but had no interest in making friends. Like his dad Yozuke was incredibly smart and found school far too easy, so he’d skip grades but never found it challenging still. Life felt stale to him at such a young age, stagnant and boring. Then he found chemistry, a subject he actually had to study, he found interesting, he loved to learn about. He made his own formulas and loved to experiment, even with his newfound passion he still didn’t have an interest in people or being social in general. When he was 11 Zee finally told him the full story with his mom and how she died of ||cancer.|| Yozuke was not pleased- he blamed his dad, the surgeon, because he should’ve seen signs, he should’ve been able to help, and she died because he didn’t. Similar to when he was young child he started acting out again until he got what he wanted, not living with his dad anymore. His dad let him move into his grandpa’s, where he mainly got to be left alone to his devices. Some time later he found out his dad went wishing but never paid it much of a thought more focused on school and chemistry. Months later when his dad was found he never bothered visiting him in the hospital. When Yozuke finished highschool he wanted to take a gap year and focus on his studies, but he wanted the space to do so, at his grandpa’s he was only limited to his room. Knowing how much of a pushover his dad is he was able to talk his way into getting his own space, a small cheap apartment but more room than previous, so he set up his own little lab. Yozuke found himself growing frustrated, chemicals he wanted were either illegal, over the counter, or nobody would sell it to a 13 year old. With someone online contacts and messaging he found some word about some sort’ve group dedicated to the demise or heroes or something of the sort, Yozuke didn’t care about heroes or villains, but he saw it as a chance to get the chemicals he wanted. They provide him what he wants, he can make them whatever lethal concoctions, and keep the rest for himself to experiment with. It seemed like a fair deal in his head, so long as he wasn’t actually involved with harming anyone by his own actual hand. He wanted to keep everything very lowkey, afterall. He just wants this as a temporary gig, a means to an end to reach his personal goals.

Marcus was adopted by his parents when he was just a baby. He doesn’t know anything about his birth parents but he didn’t care to find them either, he accepted his life for what it was and his adoptive parents always kept things open for him if he ever did want to know more.

When he was younger he remembers living in Hartley Avenue at first, he remembered his dad working from home and people came and went all day long. He didn’t know what exactly his dad did because he was too little but as he got older he understood more. He admired him for the work his did, the help he gave people and knew as he got older it would be something he wanted to pursue.

As his dads business grew and became more successful they moved out of Hartley and into Horwick. He remembers his dad wanting to separate his home and work life more so he could be here for his family.

Growing up Marcus was a good kid, he always worked hard in school and kept his head down. What he didn’t expect was for Adriana Martinez to make him fell head over heals in love with her. They were high school sweethearts their entire senior year and broke up when Ana wanted to leave Hidehill to travel.
