So I'm back currently and have started to post once again over on Berry Storytelling Guild. My Blossom 100bc will also be continueing over there. It's actually already ready for gen 2 in game. Hart Legacy Recap - Gen 3, Part 5 (LAST ONE I PROMISE)

The pregnancy was blessedly uncomplicated, and before they knew it, Holly and Kellan were welcoming their baby daughter, Rose Hart, into the world.

They took to parenting like a fish to water, especially Kellan, who decided to leave his job and become a stay-at-home father- Holly had always been the primary breadwinner anyway.

Meanwhile, Holly went back to work (and got a gig in an apartment for the first time, which totally broke the career for this save. thanks sims functional game fr), Guidry befriended the cat, and they attended a family pool party for the summer solstice, where Kellan quickly bonded with his new niece Marina.

Everything was going well- right up until Kellan got up one too many times in the night to shush Rose and didn't make it back to bed, instead passing out on the floor in front of the fire and ultimately overheating to death.

Holly was- understandably- distraught by the loss. Guidry and his friend Bonehilda were quick to step up with the housework, and auncle Luke volunteered childcare for a while, to allow Holly to come to terms with it.

Slowly, and with the help of her extensive support system, Holly was slowly able to return to her normal life. And, at Luke's suggestion, she adopted a puppy to keep the now-elderly Pickles company, a bernese mountain dog whom she named Tiny.

Isla Paradiso Lag Fix

Hey Guys, so since I did a challenge that uses Isla Paradiso (Life is a Pickle) I thought i should do a courtesy post about how to fix lag issues in Isla.  Below is a post that I found which helped my game out tremendously.  If you delete out these lots (they cause glitches for townies and random sims and in turn makes the world lag) you should have either minimal or no lag.  I’ve tested this and it did work for me.  I did 5 generations of a legacy challenge in Isla without any issues.

If you’re going to do my Life is a Pickle Challenge, this is probably necessary for Generation 1.

Considering the fact you'd been actively trying for a baby, he'd probably keep track of your cycle. He's surprisingly meticulous when he gets out of his himbo zone.

Deduces you're pregnant before you even figure it out.

Herlock is absolutely over the moon. He loves being a dad, he's such a soft boy, can't wait to have another child in the house.

Iris is so excited to finally be someone's big sister.

Herlock tries his best to indulge your every whim and craving, as ridiculous as he may find them. Catch him trying to come up with a dessert recipe that somehow incorporates pickles. Not that he can judge, mind you. This man eats soap.

Reluctantly agrees to undertake less dangerous exploits for the time being. No explosions, no drinking random concoctions, no running headfirst into active crime scenes.

He will try to science his way into helping you. Waltzes into your room with a vial filled with some suspicious-looking liquid claiming he invented a cure for your morning sickness. He most certainly did not. You know better than to drink it.

Turns into a Ryunosuke-like shopaholic somewhere along the way. He comes home with a ton of new toys and baby clothes he picked up at his local pawnbroker's a few times a week. You don't need most of the stuff. He mopes around after you make him return the third crib he bought.

Will massage any part of you, anytime, anywhere. Not quite proper, but you're too sore and swollen to care.

His name suggestions are ridiculous. More than a few are some variations of his name. You and Iris just sigh, looking through your book of baby names.

The first time he feels the baby kick, he almost collapses on the spot. He may have raised a child before, but his fatherly obligations started after the child was born. In theory, he knows what does and should happen, but that doesn't make him any less fascinated by seeing your body change and the life inside of you acting, well, alive. It's hard to tell who's more mesmerized by feeling the kicks, Herlock or Iris.

Seeing the movement probably creeps him out a bit, but he'd never admit it.

He's still a needy boy desperate for your attention. Herlock's just casually gonna curl up next to you, maybe lay down with his head on your stomach, and just demand to hear some praise. Tell him how well he's taking care of you and how much you liked that gherkin doughnut recipe, even though it was inedible.

In spite of that, he's surprisingly selfless. He knows he can't be the centre of everyone's attention anymore, at least not for the next few years. Somehow gets over it. Takes a lot of caramel bars.

Life is a Pickle Challenge

Hey guys!  So this is the challenge I’ve been working on putting together :D  It encompasses all the things I wanted to do in the Sims 3 but never really get around to.  I’m sharing in case you guys want to play :)  I’d love some feedback and to see you all’s stories! <3 Enjoy!

Rules:

The founder of your legacy can be whatever you like, berry or vanilla, male or female.  The only requirement is that their last name is pickle related (hence the name of the challenge :D )

Lifespan should be set to normal

You can live in whatever town you want, unless specified in the generation rules.

No cheats are allowed with the exception of the freerealestate cheat for the founder's house.

Unless stated in the generation rules, you can do whatever you want for the spouses.

If the traits needed for the next generation are not available during toddler and child stages, use "Testing Cheat Enabled" to go into CAS and change the heir personality once they are a young adult.

Unless stated in the generation rules, you are not required to complete the lifetime wish of your Sim.

Each heir must have the founder's last name and something green. It can be a feature (hair, eyes), makeup, or clothing.
