International students in Toronto will be adversely affected by an impending federal rule that will limit them to working 24 hours a week off-campus when school is in session, students and advocates say. Immigration Minister Marc Miller said last spring the new rules would take effect in September, however a spokesperson for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada said in an email that the federal department is still working toward implementing the regulatory changes this fall. They could not provide a more specific timeline.  Miller previously said the 24-hour cap will ensure international students can focus on their studies, while having the option to work. "Students who want to come here have to realize that they can only work 24 hours in order to offset some of their costs or bring the material resources themselves when they come here," Miller said on April 29.

But I have somehow found myself starting a Masters, so the cafe and study session energy has returned in full force.

Crane Wives concert was rad as hell btw. Hit after hit all night, and I'm not just talking about the music. Like, immediately so many more people than I thought there would be (hype!!), insanely good Grian cosplayer, life series merch here and there, literally the coolest and most fashionable people all throughout the crowd, lots of queer vibes, people bringing their plushies along, beautiful opening act, two people fainted(?) (not rad), I briefly made accidental eye contact with literally one of the most attractive people I've ever seen (and they were masked too, extra rad), silly fun crowd/band interactions, band promises to come back to Toronto sometime in the future (let's gooo!!!!), the very last three songs were the ones I was most excited to hear live so it was insane hype one after the other right at the end for me, and then finally the whole crowd singing Chappell Roan on the way out. Just pristine vibes the whole experience from start to finish.
