((Sorry I still haven’t been around. To be honest, none of the rp partners I’m really comfortable/at home around are active here anymore and it’s been a big deterrant, especially since I’ve had a horrible summer(well, year) and have been hyperfocused on other things anyway.

That isn’t meant to be an affront to the people still here, I just am very...it’s hard for me to be comfortable around people, is all. It doesn’t mean I dislike you, but it does make writing with you a little difficult if I don’t feel enough at ease around you. I apologize.

Hopefully I’ll get to a place where I can come back again. I’ll try and get back into the habit of checking my dash here, at least.))

This blog isn’t dead! I’ve just been having a really rough year...again. Eesh.

I’ve at least moved back home with mom and my dad is sober and out of rehab, which is good news. I’m currently in therapy once a week and trying to get my medication adjusted to treat some really awful insomnia.

Anyway, the askbox is empty, but it is open! Feel free to send in questions or what have you. I’ll try and put some things in there myself to get things moving again.

Besides the answer to the above question, you don’t take things to heart too much, which I admire since I do that all the time. It’s great you can brush things off and move on to other good things without getting too caught up in being upset

First game night. Absolutely one of the best nights I’ve ever had. Hilarious. Can’t wait to do it again. The fact that we named the killer Asher was AMAZING

Hello if it’s not clear from what I’ve been saying then idk how to help you. The sheer vastness of content for all the rp you could ever want is right there man. So much opportunity! All the little details and plots too!! Bonus, you get a friend that will give you head pats- no, wait. those are mine. But still, good fren! *pats their head* A lot of friENDSHIP can fit in here

How Others Should Approach Them

You could toss them some memes. Pretty sure they crave them lol ( Not like they don’t post about it ). And as a multi I am well aware of the specifying muse deal but I don’t think they mind so much that they won’t answer. You’ll just get whatever they roll lol BUT definitely specify muse if you can bc like I said, as a multi, it’s just better that way especially with the number of muses they have. OR you could do the big brain move and IM them “Hey I wanna write with you but I have no idea where to start with your muses. Do you have a preference?” and you guys can talk about who would mesh well together and then you can send memes or write a starter or even get a starter! Pretty sure it’s the same for anyone.

Funny note on that one tho. I think they approached me ooc by just sending my a post in IMs. I don’t even remember what it was or why they sent it. I was wildly confused but ya know. Gotta start somewhere lol Point is, you’ll be fine approaching them however you do. Just don’t ghost.

Other Roleplayers I’d Recommend To Them

You could write with the Teares’ siblings ( in the verse where they are related at least. Haven’t talked about if that’ll be a main thing or not ), baby sis @the-wonderland-jinx and Aeron’s twin @faultycode. The other muses on there are also great.

@klavz​ is a great Klaus imo. The dialogue is so on point. Like I could actually hear Klaus saying those things. Whether you feel the same is up to you but... definitely give ‘em a chance.

There are others but it’s more of a general ‘I like them’ rather than having specific reasons you’d mesh well with / be interested in them.

That thing where Aeron drops into Wonderland and runs into Soulless!Asher is still in my drafts if you still want that to be a thing. So not all things were lost! lol

But getting back to the question, outside of those sort of things, and being more specific than just everything... T.he G.ood P.lace plot seems good. Pretending these people got into ‘heaven’ when they’re actually in a special hell that tortures them psychologically by picking a set of people that would eternally torture each other bc their personalities and behaviors clash perfectly. Asher ( or all your deadly sin demons really ) would definitely get a kick out of that I bet. Especially on Aeron. Ooo and Oliver.

A muse I want to introduce to them

Max. He’s a muse that’s gonna be on my other multi. He’s a soft boi like Oliver but not as fragile. Very friendly, and actually not human! He’s a changeling that ended up being raised human. Still working on him but I feel like he is basically the peak of my creativity lmao

I mean I know we mentioned it but Post!Oliver and Tancred would be cool. And I say Post! bc I’m pretty sure Tancred would stay the heck away from him otherwise lol

So uh...while this iteration of my dinky blog isn’t three years old, I have been lurking around this site in total (for RP) for three years now, as of...technically yesterday, eh heh. And good golly there has been a LOTTA growth since then. My muses and I have come a looong way, in regards to writing, editing, and getting to know so many people over the course of three years. Some have come and gone, and some have stayed...though few since those beginning days when Sylvie had NO idea what they were doing, ha!

     And though I’ve only recently gone through my second revamp, there’s still a gaggle a’y’all that have stuck around. Some even from those very beginning days. So, I’d like to take a minute to just...gush about some of ya, cuz you’ve made being in this community fun, welcoming, and honestly like a second family to us. Askblog Tips From A Veteran

Want to make an askblog? Great! Here’s some quick tips from me- someone who’s been doing them for a long time.

It’s not a competition- This is a passion project. Don’t worry about being the most popular or widespread. Worry about having fun telling your story and playing with your characters. It’s okay to want some validation and attention- just don’t let that be your primary focus. And definitely don’t make being the most popular or first choice of other people your main priority, or you will never be happy.

You can send yourself asks! If you’re having trouble getting attention or people aren’t asking about the things you really wanna focus on, it’s okay to send yourself a couple of anons so that you can make some content. Sending yourself story or character focused questions is NOT bad form, it’s especially encouraged if you’ve hit a quiet period or are a new blog. It will help other people know what to ask about!

Any art or no art, it’s all fine- If your art is traditional and uploaded by cellphone camera that’s fine. If your art is digital that’s fine. If your blog has almost NO art and is mostly writing focused? That’s also fine. Like I said- this is for fun, and you should run your askblog in the way that is most fun for you.

Communicate with other muns- This applies mostly to ooc interactions with other people. If somebody upsets you or makes you uncomfortable, please be honest with them and bring it up in private. Vaguing doesn’t help anybody, and sometimes people don’t know they’ve done anything wrong. Please be clear and honest as much as you can, and also be kind as much as you can.

Change is fine- If you want to change the way you draw, add or remove muses from your blog, etc, that’s fine. Try to communicate about it ahead of time so your followers know what’s going on, and try not to do things TOO much on a whim- but at the end of the day it’s your blog. Do what is most comfortable and fun for you as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone

Tag stuff- You don’t need fancy tags,  but having a simple tag for ic vs ooc and for each muse so people can find specific content is a  good idea. It also makes organization and archiving much easier.

That’s about it. None of this is the be-all-end-all of advice, but it does give some tips that have been helpful for me in the past. Happy blogging!

update from lief

Hi everyone,

This is kind of a heavy update, but I just want to let you all know my activity may be less consistent for the forseeable future.

My mom and I got fed up with my dad’s binge drinking and moved out today in the middle of one of his boozings. It’s...I’m honestly relieved? I feel guilty about that, but really I’m just. So glad to finally be away from him.

It’s really hard on my mom emotionally though, and it will take us both some time to get used to living on the basement floor of my aunt and uncle’s home. Theres plenty enough space to get by, but it’s still so different from what we’re used to.

Our pets are safe and with us as well, and I’ll be drawing whenever I Feel up to it, but there will certainly NOT be a schedule for a while as I adjust to my new living situation. Thanks for your understanding.

since I’m rambling anyway, askblog advice:

It’s totally okay to send yourself anons. Have something you wanna expand on or talk about with your muses but people aren’t asking about it? send it to yourself on anon. A lot of times people won’t know what direction you want to take things and may not think to ask about the subjects you really want to talk about.

It’s not attention seeking and it’s not silly. Especially if you’re having a dry spell without much interaction or traffic. Sometimes sending yourself an ask or two can be a catalyst that gets other people asking questions and offering commentary. It’s okay to indulge yourself a little.

sorry I haven’t been around, folks! I was in a rough home situation for a while, my dad went to rehab(he is fighting alcoholism) and my mom and I lived with my aunt while he was gone. We just returned hom a couple of weeks ago, and dad is in sort of a halfway house sort of deal to continue treatment, but is in town now.

since I’m back home, I’m under less stress and have more time to myself again since I’m not sharing space as much. I’ll try and get back on track here! The askbox is empty, so feel free to send in questions.

Update from Lief!

I’m settling in nicely in my new home. Dad’s...still on his bullshit, but he seems to be at least TRYING to make it longer between drinking binges, so that’s something I guess?

I have a bed now- it’s a double size air mattress, but that’s plenty enough, and i picked up some more clothes and my bedroom fan at the house today. 

It’s been busier, though. I have a 13yo cousin who wants me to spend some time with him pretty often and I don’t mind that, but it does mean I’m online less. Still, I’m getting worn out so I’ll probably ask him that we start doing more lowkey just hanging out in each other’s presence stuff!

Askbox is open still, but just a reminder I may be less consistent in answer timing for a while! Thanks for all the encouragement and patience while my family goes through this.

Hey, happy new year!

I’m still mostly on hiatus, but I’m popping in to say I’m working towards getting back to the blog. I don’t know how SOON I’ll be back, but I am planning a return.

I got reports back from my psych testing recently with more details and updated diagnoses, so I’m hoping that this knowledge and the report will help both me and my providers in moving forward with treating my mental illness this year- particularly my very severe ptsd.

I still have a lot weighing on my mind as far as my life in general, so I don’t know that I’ll be super consistent here once I do return. But I want to brush up/tweak character designs and get moving here again nonetheless.

If you’re more interested in seeing more mario content from me that isn’t related to this blog, follow my sideblog for mario stuff, @axemranger. I’m trying to start posting there more.

Even if I never get super into askblogging here again, there’s still a lot of love in me for the mario series, particularly paper mario, so I want to continue making content, and I’m trying to work toward that via my sideblog.

I also have a twitter that uses the same name as my main blog here on tumblr- it’s where I’m MOST active as far as social media right now, so if you just want to get in touch or shoot the breeze following me there is your best bet. I’m trying to be a little more active on tumblr gradually as well.
