Hello, World of Pokemon and World of Humans!
We're the World-Savers' Council of the World of Pokemon! We're a group of teams who've all saved our world, and are doing our best to help others! And just goof off sometimes.
I'm Lidequir, she/her! I'm the human hero of the Meteor Crisis, and I love jokes and puns.
-Lidequir
I'm Acacia, he/him. I'm a Meganium, and I'm Lidequir's partner. Together, we're Team Seedlings. We also have Temsik the Absol as part of our team, though they're not one for social media. I'm an avid gardener, and have published multiple books, including A Comprehensive Guide to Items.
-Acacia
Hello. I'm Apoyime, he/him. Sceptile, human hero of the Time Crisis.
-Apoyime
Hi. I'm Pahelia, she/her, Empoleon. I'm Apoyime's partner on Team Sunset. We both trained at the Wigglytuff, and it was a great place to be! Mostly. Please don't get mad at us if we take a while to answer mail, we get a lot of it.
-Pahelia
Hey, I'm Ayueg, he/him, Combusken. I'm the human hero of the Stone Crisis, though Leviene's the real hero here. Harm them and you'll reget it.
-Ayueg
Hihihi! I'm Leviene! They/them! I'm a Mewleef, a Mew and Bayleef hybrid! I'm with Ayueg on Team Travelers! We're the coolest, we've helped map out a lot of the world! And we've saved the world, too!
-Leviene
If you're wondering about the heroes of the Desperation Crisis, they're over on @teamgardeners. They're still a part of the WSC, they just made a blog before us!
Looking forward to meeting you all!
-Lidequir
Hello! Bench here again! With the recent rise of more PMD blogs on rotomblr, I've decided to bring the rest of my PMD protagonists here!

Examine! The falling star.
Tumblr media
You never would have joked about the cause of the natural disasters being in space if you knew how terrifying that could be.
The falling star blotted out most of the sky, it was almost all you could see. It was easily continent-sized, if not even bigger. If it hit the planet, nobody would survive.
Rayquaza’s beam was impacting the falling star, yet it didn’t seem to be doing much other than slowing it down.
“Take charge of your destiny,” the sky god had said to you before attacking the falling star. What would be left to have destiny about if this world were to be destroyed.
Yet, slowly but surely, you could see cracks beginning to spread across the falling star. It was beginning to fragment.
The cracks grew, even as the falling star grew closer and closer. You couldn’t breathe, and not just because of the high altitude.
Then, with a mighty explosion, Rayquaza’s beam tore through the falling star.
The last thing you felt before falling unconscious was pure relief that the world would be safe.

(@ask-world-savers-council) Lidequir: "Hey there!" The Wartortle said, waving. "What's this place? Don't remember much of my time in the human world, but I like it wasn't like this. Did some sort of kerFLUFFle happen?"
Wanda tilted her head, "I don't know what you mean, the only big change in the world happened around a century ago when mystery dungeons started appearing, but they're only in parts of the world where civilization is more spread out," explained Wanda, clearly not sure what the wartortle meant...

I just realized that I never told anyone about the "fugitives of fate" I keep singing about in these songs, so I'll do that now!
//OOC: Major PMD Rescue Team spoilers below!
Team Seedlings, the Fugitives of Fate
Long ago in my world, about 36 years ago, humans weren't nearly as revered as they are today! Very few Pokemon knew about them at all!
There was one legend on the Air Continent about them, though, the Legend of Ninetales.
It said that, in another world, there was a human and a Gardevoir, who were friends. One day, though, they met a Ninetales, and the human yanked the Ninetales' tail. The Ninetales tried to curse the human, but the Gardevoir took the blow instead. And instead of helping their friend, the human ran away.
The legend says that the Ninetales brought the human and the Gardevoir to my world, and the human took the form of a Pokemon.
And another human came to my world, soon after, named Lidequir. She was found by a Chikorita named Acacia, and together they made a rescue team, Team Seedlings.
They went on many journeys together, but the world was in danger. Natural disasters kept happening on the Air Continent, threatening many Pokemon.
One day, rumors started spreading that the human from the Ninetales legend was behind the disasters. And a Gengar accused Lidequir of being the human from the legend.
Team Seedlings was chased across the continent, running away from everyone they knew. They met an Absol named Temsik, who joined them, but other than that, they were all alone.
They fled through fiery mountains and icy forests, before being cornered by Team ACT at Mount Freeze, at the edge of the Air Continent.
But just as Team ACT was about to strike the final blow on Lidequir, Ninetales appeared, and stopped them. She said that Lidequir was not the human from the legend.
Ever since, Lidequir and Acacia have been called the "fugitives of fate", since during their fleeing they were seen in the eyes of many as criminals because of the Ninetales legend. "Criminals of legend" became "fugitives of fate".
Team Seedlings would go on to resuce Team ACT themselves from Groudon, and battle Rayquaza atop Sky Tower to save the world from a falling star.
Lots of songs about them use the "fugitives of fate" theming, reminding us to never forget what they had gone through.

Have a snippet of my upcoming PMD oneshot, Oddity Cave:
“Apparently this dungeon appeared just recently,” Acacia said, trotting forwards towards the mystery dungeon. “What’s so odd about it to call it something like ‘Oddity Cave’?” Lidequir asked, following her partner. “I heard from Team Blast that strange rings sometimes appear here, and you can see weird stuff happening through them,” Acacia answered, swaying his leaf to the side. “They apparently look a lot like an experimental thing from the Mist Continent, called a ‘magnagate’.”

(From @humanandpokemonworlds)
Acacia held the Sky Melodica in his vines, mentally preparing himself. One of the Seven Treasure Instruments, gifted to him and Lidequir by Rayquaza after they had saved their world 35 years ago. A tiny piano imbued with the very power of the sky.
He had spent decades learning how to play it, and now it was time to play his favorite tune in front of dozens of humans.
He released the Melodica from his vines, and it floated in the air.
And then, he began to play. A piece of music, created in his and Lidequir’s honor. A piece that represented the sorrow, yet hope the two of them felt in their darkest hour.
Its title was Run Away, Fugitives.

(@worldsaverscouncil) Hey there! Never heard of someone becoming a Pokemon while still in the human world!
Now, I gotta ask, did you hear any sort of voice calling for assistance while you were unconscious? -Lidequir
No? It just sorta. Happened. Y'know? I just hit "install" and bonk, naptime, no voices

(@worldsaverscouncil) It sounds like you have been through a lot. No matter what, though, don't lose sight of yourself. Defy the legends, take back your fate.
You can make it through this.
-Lidequir
Oh- thank you, Lidequir, for the kind words.
Sometimes I really don't enjoy having a rotom-phone. Things like this make it feel a bit better :)
Taking back my fate, huh... never thought of it like that before.

“Yep. Humans normally don’t exist here,” Jasper said, trotting out of a bit of shade and into the sunshine. “The only ones here were summoned, like you.”
“We know that humans exist thanks to them. Long, long ago, the first human was summoned to this world, and we learned of the existence of the human world from them,” Jasper said, basking in the sunlight. “Not including you, there have been four known humans summoned here. Lidequir, Hero of Sky, Apoyime, Hero of Time, Gen, Hero of Hope, and Ayueg, Hero of Life.”
“Each of them, alongside a partner, saved our world. And…if what you say is true,” Jasper looked up at Mari. “You were probably summoned here to save our world, too.”
Tumblr media
"WORLD . . . ?" IF IT WEREN'T FOR HER GROWLING STOMACH, she would have asked the shaymin to elaborate right then and there. Far off seemed like a pretty accurate way to describe her situation, but a whole different world? Is that even possible? . . . Then again, was becoming this thing possible? The riolu is left to stew in thought as Jasper briefly leaves to fetch a basket full of berries. Some of them looked vaguely familiar . . . others, not so much. Mari simply picked whichever one looked the most appealing to her first; a round and red berry with distinguishable pink stripes. It smelled sweet, and the surface is rough and tough like a cantaloupe's. Pressing her thumbs into it, Mari strains, eyes filling with determination. It takes some applied strength, but at last, the fruit cracks open, revealing its soft insides. It seems even in this body, she's retained some of her natural strength. "You said 'human world,' do you mean to say my kind don't exist here?" Then, perhaps, if she was in another world entirely, her family was likely back home, right?
She didn't know for sure. Until now, she'd thought this was all a dream. "If that's the case, how do you guys know we exist?" And then, Mari takes a bite of the Custap Berry flesh. It's incredibly tender and juicy, and the sweetness explodes in her mouth. She finds herself chewing it and eating it slower than she normally did, just to savor the flavor.

PMD Protags, Partners, and their Greatest Fears
Warning: Contains spoilers for every PMD game besides Adventure Squad under the cut!
The PMD protag teams have gone through a lot of trauma, so I decided to write what my headcanons for their greatest fears are after the events of the games.
Lidequir (Rescue Team protag) - Legendaries
Every legend she met on her journey had tried to kill her. Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Groudon, Rayquaza...even before, in her past life, the fight against Origin Dialga was a battle to the death on her side. These powerful Pokemon have done nothing but harm her, and honestly, she’d be happy never meeting one again, even if Virizion and Keldeo are nice.
Acacia (Rescue Team partner) - Stronger People
Chased to the ends of the continent by the rescue team he used to look up to, the strongest rescue team on the continent, Acacia now feels terrified of strong people he isn’t already close to. If he starts losing in a battle, even a friendly one, he’s going to start feeling scared for his well-being. What if they turn against him, like Team ACT did?
Apoyime (Explorers protag) - Dark Skies
The future of darkness was a terrible place, where the skies were always dark, and there’s little light to be found. As a grass-type who relied on light, that was already terrifying enough, but the terrors he faced there, not knowing who he could trust, not knowing if he’d ever see the sun again, it stuck with him. Every time the sun dips below the horizon, and the skies grow dark, it reminds him of that terrible, terrible place.
Pahelia (Explorers partner) - Betrayal
She looked up to The Great Dusknoir, she really, really did. He was so kind and caring, and he seemed like such a great person...only to kidnap her and Apoyime, and attempt to kill them. What if other people she trusted did the same? Chatot? Wigglytuff? Apoyime?
Gen (Dewott) (Gates protag) - Ice
Almost all of his most terrifying memories involve ice. Everything that happened during the second visit of the Glacier Palace, so hard to breathe with the sheer negativity of the place, even with his human soul. To say nothing of his encounter with Kyurem out in the desert, watching Hydreigon be shattered right in front of his eyes, and then himself subsequently being beaten to near death by the empty dragon of ice. Winter would never be the same for him again.
Vernir (Gates partner) - Helplessness
He couldn’t do anything. Kyurem was killing his best friend, and he couldn’t do anything. He could only plead for the dragon to stop, plead with all his heart. And then he couldn’t do anything again, in the Bittercold’s realm, he made it so far, but it was too much, he couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t help Gen, just like back in the desert. Why couldn’t he help?
Apoyime (Super protag) - Father Figures
The first friendly face he met in this world, who took him in, and gave him a home, who helped guide him...and who stabbed him in the back. Anyone trying to be a dad to Ayueg is going to earn his ire, while he feels terrified at the back of his mind. Never again.
Leviene (Super partner) - Being Too Late
They spent too long in the Voidlands. Their village, and everyone in it, turned to stone. Even their pops. They were too late. It was their fault. They weren’t fast enough. If they were too late again, for other people they care about...they didn’t want to think about that.

"That it for this meeting?" a Wartortle asked, looking around at the seven others in the Squirtle-themed building they were in."
"Unless anyone has any other leads, probably," a Servine said, glancing over at his Dewott partner.
"Really was hoping this'd be the one," the Dewott said, looking down.
"We all did," a Meganium said, putting a vine the Dewott's back.
"You're sure this one wasn't a human? They really seemed genuine!" a Bayleef asked.
A Sceptile shook his head, and a Combusken sighed. "No, just another imitator," the Combusken said.
"They're so persistent..." an Empoleon groaned. "Will these imitators ever give up?"
Seems like these Pokemon are deep in discussion.
Want to ask them some questions?

“Connections,” Apoyime signed. “The bond between a human and a Pokemon far outshines any other force in the universe. Lidequir, one of the Heroes of Sky, defied reality itself in order to remain here in this world, and Vernir, one of the Heroes of Hope, rewrote the laws of reality to reunite with his partner.”
“Alone, both humans and Pokemon aren’t too special,” Apoyime signed. “But when we’re together, we can do anything.”
Fascinating.
So, being human had its social advantages- but could also put one at a disadvantage if you weren't convincing. Just like anything else.
"Heh, I think they'd be less eager to know about human gossip if they were actually human... but who knows. Are there any recently you know of that weren't just pulling a stunt for clout?"
It's solidly a part of his vocabulary now.
"And what exactly do we... do? Why keep pulling humans in to solve problems?"

Ursa (to Saltriv): your leaf looks very pretty! Why is it red, though?
"It became like this when I transitioned to being nonbinary!" Saltriv said, waving their leaf. "My species have sexual dimorphism, at least when fully evolved, but I guess Chikoritas have a bit of that, too!"
"Oh! I think it's also the time of year to celebrate that kind of stuff, so I'm also asexual! And demiromantic!" the Chikorita proclaimed.
"I'm aromantic and asexual!" Burhalla said, striking a pose.
"A-and, um...I'm aroace, t-too," Gen added.

Species Names and Special Names
In the PMD series, besides the protagonists, there’s a grand total of four characters who go by non-species names. The Rescue Team partner, the Explorers partner, the Super partner, and one random Ludicolo.
Non-species names seem really rare in the PMD world, at least during the time of the canon games, and I have Thoughts about why that might be.
-
Almost every Pokemon in the PMD world has two names, their species name, which should be self-explanatory, and their "special name", a human-like name, though often the special names are odd-sounding compared to human names, like “Saltriv” and “Pahelia”.
Special names are granted to a Pokemon by their primary caregiver(s), though if the Pokemon in question does not have any caregivers, or those caregivers don't care for the Pokemon, they may end up not having a special name. The Gates partner is one such example, lacking a special name until being given one by the Gates protagonist.
Special names are, well, special. They’re something for a Pokemon to call themselves as, something to designate them as their own person, something to give them a sense of self.
Special names are highly personal, and it's tradition for special names to only be used with family and close friends, as a sign of how much you trust each other.
However, there are always Pokemon who go against tradition, and go by their special name in public.
35 years ago, at the beginning of Rescue Team DX, one such Pokemon, a Chikorita who openly went by his special name, Acacia, met a human-turned-Pokemon, Lidequir, and together, they saved the world.
They quickly gained fame, and soon, many Pokemon, wanting to be like Acacia and Lidequir, cast aside tradition, and started going openly by their special names.
Historians call this movement the Acacia movement, named after the Pokemon who started it all.
Several years later, during the events of Explorers of Sky, another Pokemon, Pahelia, inspired by Acacia to go by her own special name, met a human-turned-Treecko, Apoyime, and they also saved the world, only causing the Acacia movement to grow in popularity. Similar booms of Pokemon going by their special names happened following the events of Gates to Infinity and Super Mystery Dungeon.
Today, 35 years later, many Pokemon go by their special names openly, while many also don't. At this point, it is purely a matter of preference.
However, some Pokemon insist that tradition must be upheld, and resent the Acacia movement, some even trying to enforce only species names in public.
