I think I broke my ex-wife's heart. I'm not sure. She never told me.

We started growing apart near the end of our relationship. I had realized I was gay, but hadn't told her yet. I think she could tell, though. It weighed on my mind.

When I told her, she didn't really say anything. She just... nodded. We hugged. I told her I really did love her, just- not in the way I needed to.

Once my son was born, and the divorce was finalized, we separated. I haven't seen her since. It was our agreement.

My ex-husband... well, I don't know if he had a heart to break. So I can't really speak to that.

A few years ago, the answer to this would have been 'absolutely not. hate is too strong of a word to use.'

Yes.

Many things.

But- I don't think I would go back and change anything, if I could.

I mean- I have pretty much everything I could ever have wanted. I don't want to risk losing it. If my choices lead me to have what I have now, then they were the right choices. Even if other people don't think so.

... I wish I had more pictures of my mother, though. That's a big regret that I think I would change. I have pictures of her, but they're not- her, if that makes sense. You don't get her personality through them, she's always just... an accessory, usually to my father.

I wish I had more of her.

My ex-wife and I- while our divorce was processing, we could go to other partners. We agreed on it, together.

(adding onto my last ask) do you think this should apply to paldea, where the gym challenge is actually a core part of the school system, and ‘becoming champion’ isn’t really a thing. they just get the champion title and can brag about it. geeta is the only one who takes on challengers

Paldea, I think, works a little differently.

I've been back and forth a few times, with business regarding my farm, and it's a lovely region. I like how the gyms are done. Far less publicised.

I do take a small issue with the gym in Levincia- It seems like you have no choice but to be broadcast when battling it.

Other than Levincia, I think the way they do it in Paldea is pretty good. No majorly televised battles, the Elite Four and Champion challenges are done in a small building, between only the trainers and the challengers. Multiple champions is also great! It means that responsibility isn't solely placed on one person, never mind on a child.

I think Paldea is taking steps in the right direction, in terms of gym battles.

not being able to challenge gyms until a certain age is actually a pretty good idea. what age do you think people should be before they can challenge gyms??

Challenging gyms, I think should wait until at LEAST 16.

Kids can battle each other all they want, in private. Gym battles are televised, they're seen by thousands, there's thousands IN the stadium. That's not the environment a child should be in.

Becoming Champion? Have to be at least 18. Especially if you're going to be taking on other responsibilities, like publicity, sponsorship- that's a job. It shouldn't be a child.

It's highly controlled and edited. It's nothing to base your expectations or opinions on.

Did you know that during his entire gym challenge and his whole career as champion, Leon has NEVER lost a battle? It's honestly pretty damn impressive

He seems like a talented trainer, from what I've seen.

That must be an immense amount of pressure though, surely?
