So I made a second licofait kid, Licorice Syrup

I’m gonna be honest, I kind of forgot that she’s not just me making a second licofait kid and is instead Red Licorice’s replacement, but whatever. She does still replace Red Licorice I guess

So basically, Licorice Syrup here is a magician who uses sing based magic. I’m not entirely sure what her actual magic is, whether it’s necromancy or something different. I just knew how she’d use her magic and thought I’d figure it out along the way

Personality wise she reminds me of Trixie from MLP. She’s kind of a showboat and she acts incredibly confident. However her insecure side shows with enough pressure on her, and she’s not that much different from her dad in that sense

In my head, if she had a human name it’d be like, Sirena. Which I did pull from Venture Bros and I know isn’t a real name, but her powers remind me of sirens so I thought it fit. I suppose Serena works just as well, with it being like “serenade”

Also with the thing about sirens, I imagine her to be dating a mermaid, since I feel like that fits. Not sure how it happened but she is. Her girlfriend’s probably not another fankid, but rather someone else entirely

…*sigh* I’m sorry, this isn’t that good. Admittedly, she’s kind of been a thing I do in spare time over different intervals, and most of that time was yesterday when I was waiting for the volunteer event to start and waiting in line to pick up our stuff, so I wasn’t 100% focused on her. And so she’s a bit lacking in areas. This will also be relevant in the design section

Anyways, so her name comes from black licorice syrup. Which admittedly I wasn’t entirely sure was a thing but apparently it is. I came up with the name because licorice, and because Parfait has syrup in her pop star look (even if it’s not in her natural look), and ice cream (and I think parfaits) can have syrup in them

Originally her name was Black Syrup, which on one hand I still kind of like, but on the other, I realized after finishing her that I had recently come up with a new character called Dark Syrup, and the names are really similar so I changed her to Licorice Syrup since that’s still what she is

But yeah anyways, this is a picture of licorice syrup I found online

So I originally drew her in a rough sketch, just doing her hair, but as I recall the hair color itself didn’t look right, so I scrapped her at the time to come back to another day, which I eventually did. All I could really remember about what I wanted is that she’d have a similar color scheme to Licorice

Admittedly her final design may be a bit too plain. I tried to mitigate that with the light blue at the bottoms and with the skull pin, but she still might look too plain. But ah well

Speaking of the pin, I put that there to spruce up her head a bit, but then I forgot that she wears a hood, so I don’t really know how it works

I’m also not sure how I ended up with blue as her accent/secondary color, but I did. I guess it works with sirens and mermaids? It’s also why I made her eyes blue. I color picked them from Parfait’s pop star look, even though I know those are colored contacts, because they were nice and bright

I do wonder if I should have made her eyes a different color though, so that they can be an extra pop of color

Her hair was originally going to be all black, but I wanted to spruce it up a bit by having the ends white. The idea is that her hair is yogurt covered in licorice syrup. One of the main things I tried to do with Licorice Syrup even just starting out was that I wanted her hair and hair color to make sense, instead of just going from black to white for no particular reason like with Red Licorice, and I like to think I accomplished that

Overall while I recognize she may not be the best, I do still think overall I like what I did, and I hope you guys like her too

I joined soulmate sweepstakes and I'm allergic to shutting up so uh. post for the worldbuilding I did for Sugar, Spice, is Everything Nice?, a fic set in wild life where a wildcard goes Just a Little Bit wrong and now the lifers find themselves in a candyland, yk how it is!!

alrighty so I won't mention the player changes again since they're already in the fic itself!! however we still have mob and block replacements. not all mobs n blocks ever got a candy replacement, and a bunch were never mentioned in the story, whoops.

please note that I copylasted this directly from my notes, typos n grammar errors might be present :P

for mobs:

zombies: similar texture to gummy bears. have a 10% chance to spawn with a sharpened candy cane

skeletons: made from white chocolate, hollow on the inside. easy to defeat with a few good punches. bows replaced by gummy strings to attack players

bogged: similar to normal skeletons, though their white chocolate looks a bit greener (mint). chocolate appears cracked in some areas, yet they're not easier to take down than normal skeletons

creepers: made of popping candy. hard to knock down, when touched with bare hands it leaves a tingling sensation. has a small chance of exploding.

spiders: bursting bugs shaped like spiders. gummy-ish at first, but filled with strawberry syrup.

endermen: made of strings of licorice, hard to knock down. they can't teleport anymore, but instead they have very long limbs that are very good at holding people down. they can also run away very easily due to their flexibility

creaking: their skin is chocolate bark, their eyes are hard orange candies. extremely fragile, yet they somehow don't die unless their hearts (a block of pure chocolate with orange shavings) are broken

breeze: marshmallows. wind charges are mini marshmallows tossed at the player. breezes, while still hostile, are way less threatening

blazes: while not spawned, they're molten/burnt marshmallows, and they attack with burning hot molten marshmallows.

wolves: cotton candy.

sheep: their cotton is replaced with whipped cream, their bodies are made from chocolate.

bees: hard honey candy.

horses: hard sour candy.

cows: their white parts are made out of foam, their dark spots are made out of gummy.

chickens: they're made out of white chocolate, but they're not solid. their feathers consist of white chocolate shavings, and two punches can turn a chicken into crumbles.

that's because Dick doesn't like candy. he likes ice cream.

and this is ALL historically accurate, by the way. in all his letters back home, he rates towns they go to by how readily available ice cream is. he says it in his memoir. the guy just likes ice cream. he's so cute.

that being said. he likes ice creams that have like. bits in them. he loves cookies and cream. he loves rockie road. double dutch. cookie dough. chocolate chip. he LOVES that shit.

and on halloween he goes HAM on the toppings. M&Ms. Reese's Pieces. Biscoff cookies. that chocolate syrup that hardens into a shell. but his absolute favorite. are those brownie bits with mixed nuts. especially when warm. ooey-gooey and so chocolatey. he loves those.

The original Pumpkin Cream from the ‘prime’ universe I developed when I first adopted him from my pal Raven (@the-wereraven), or how I like to call it: The Pumpkin Cream from the world where everything is BASED /injoke.

The Pumpkin Cream who, after failing the final test at the Paladin Academy and being shadowed by his half-brother Madeleine, leaves the Crème Republic in search to find his own propose. He becomes a P.E teacher in the prestigious Parfaedia Institute at the magic city of the same name, and that’s where he meets with a certain necromancer... He also has a great connection to animals, being able to communicate with them; his main companion is a large cake fox chimera called Syrup who is with Pumpkin in almost every universe!

A well-known Pumpkin Cream some had become quite familiar with, the Pumpkin from the ‘Custard Guard’ universe!

One of the main reasons he left the Crème Republic in the prime universe was because there was nothing he was attached to there, especially with the bad memories it brought him after the Academy fiasco… But, what if a certain consul came around to change that after confessing his feelings to Pumpkin? As the personal guard of the Clotted Cream Cookie, he makes sure the consul is never harmed on his watch.

After failing in the Paladin Academy, he decides to embrace the sea cookie-half of himself; probably because his father lived long enough to show him the wonders of the ocean, and becomes a hunter of the Lower City to help everyone he can from sea monsters; being trained by head hunter Tilapia Cookie and on some occasions, Rehrücken Cookie (An ex-head huntress and his grandmother).

This one is a tricky Pumpkin Cream to talk about, but I still consider him part of the main Pumpkinverse so I’ll do my best. To start, the AU this Pumpkin is in doesn’t belong to me- It belongs to my pal Raven; here’s the blog for it if you wanna learn more @hells-oven-au.

In short, he's dead and became a demon; he is a menace, he curses and smokes and overall is the most different from the other Pumpkin's in the Pumpkinverse-Holds a great resentment towards Clotted Cream because he thinks he was the cause of his dead... But, is that really the case?

The Deity of worship: Corruptive Darkness cookie/ Darkness

Darkness is a malicious entity made up of only the worst and impure ingredients including blood of a demonic witch and burnt licorice ooze. All evil is created by this entity, from the strawberry jam sword to even the corruption of White Lily cookie. All beings or items made by him are doomed to serve or suffer under his control. He feeds off the pain and agony. And any life he gets close to will perish to the point even Millennial tree cookie can't heal it. Many legendaries fear this entity due to his actions and his ability to end them almost immediately. Currently, he is in a weakened form, his original having been destroyed by the legendary "Blessed Life Powder cookie". The Cult is currently working to fulling return his physical form.

The Priestess: Cranberry syrup cookie

This cookie is the youngest among her consul members but is praised in her twisted, sadistic ways of sacrifice to the entity of worship. From twisting limbs to the point they break and rip off to dissecting someone's organs while they are alive, the amount of blood she spit is in almost impossible numbers.

The Alchemist/ Scientist: Arsenic Cookie

This cookie lived in the cult longer than most. While, not the first in his family, he is the most deadly and manipulative towards his workers and victims alike. All experimentation he has done was for the utter fun of watching his victims in agony. The age, strength or innocence never mattered in his eyes. All of them are just extendable to the point they expire. Even then, he just continues to have their bodies broken and rebaked into more experiments.

The Sacrificer: Wilted blackthorn cookie

The most emotionally and physically tame of the three but also has the highest body count. They have murdered so many, not only have they lost most empathy and sympathy for most, but they are forever stained in the blood they killed. Not much is known of them. . .
