The idea of being forced into a totalarian state by communism, its terrifying, but I really don't know where I stand, I took a quick quiz and it said I was a libleft (in the green) but as much as some people may hate me for saying this, some aspects of capitalism can be beneficial, e.g advancing technology, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the problem is that money is at the forefront of capitalists minds.
My personal beliefs is that we shouldn't have to pay for things that are basic human rights (food, water, warmth etc). we should definitely try to have more equity and equal money distribution, but if you want to save up for something that's fine. Just don't hog an extensive amount that you're never gonna use in your lifetime. I personally want to grow my own vegetables in my garden, free food! But also it would be a nice hobby too.
I don't want any trouble, I just wanted to get my feelings off my chest again.

-Leliana was a struggle because she’s progressive but rules with an iron fist. Same deal with Bhelen

the "perfect" apology as taught in a libleft social justice context is bullshit — it's an etiquette ritual designed to prove your loyalty to a community, and isn't any better than any other way to apologize.
it's also invoked in contexts where expecting it is deranged (i.e demanding someone profess full culpability and acknowledge harm without providing an explanation or trying to defend themself, immediately, the moment they've done something which might be wrong? is a cruel burden to place on someone's shoulders)
i cannot stand how much of a cultural expectation people place on it and how weird people get when the etiquette ritual is violated

Kinda adding on to the other anon talking about discussions of trans issues in school: I took a philosophy class in high school. One of the topics was identity & the self, and one of the examples my teacher used for this topic was trans identities. Problem was, the question he wanted us to answer was essentially: "This (probably cisgender) philosophy professor thinks that transitioning is similar to other changes in life, like moving countries, getting married, etc. However, this other (probably cisgender) philosophy professor thinks that that's not right because trans people say they always were their gender, whereas you don't say that you always were part of a country you moved to. Which one do you think is right?"
At the time, I'd realised I was trans a couple months prior, but I was very much closeted. And I remember feeling super uncomfortable with that question, but not really being able to articulate why. I remember struggling to answer it because of that, thinking about switching to another question, and ending up not studying that whatsoever. (My ADHD didn't help things, either.)
I went to a pretty progressive high school - it had tons of POC students, an environment club, and a QSA. And in this same philosophy class, we all took a political compass test, and nearly all of us got LibLeft. The issue is, there's still anti-trans bias in even the most progressive schools, it's just usually more indirect. But it still hurts.
But there's a good ending to this story, luckily! I'm now at university, and I decided to take a Gender Studies elective for fun. My professor was a 40yo trans man who was super chill and a great teacher, I seriously admire him. I wrote my final essay about biological essentialism & homo/transphobia, and I just found out that I got a 90/100 for it!
TL:DR: Listen to trans people when talking about the trans experience in education, for the sake of accuracy, and also for the sake of the awkward closeted trans kid sitting in the back of class!
the awkward closeted queer kid in the back of the class is something that i think all of us can relate to!
yeah, it blows my mind how some people are more willing to believe cis people on trans issues rather than trans people themselves. i think it’s because cis people sometimes say what the crowd wants to hear versus what is true.
and that class sounds awesome!

The Jregswap Explanation Post
Hello, it has come to my attention that a lot of people are finding out about this old Jreg AU called Jregswap. And, if you found out about it recently, you don't really have much to go off of for information of it's short lived existence, except for this post which I'm making because of said lack of information)
Before I say the rest I would like to give credit to the main artist of Jregswap, @snalz-artt . Not only did he create the art, without him some of the most important stuff wouldn't have been recovered.
The Jregswap Extremes:
Tumblr media
Here we have the first Reddit post about the concept, posted by the creator. It shows who the four main extremes would be switched with: Extremes who share many characteristics with them but also characteristics of the opposite quadrant. We have:
The Communo-Capitalist: A communist who believes in the creation of Anarcho-Capitalist Free Cities, where the top 1% would be culled regularly. (Based on this video)
The Homo-Fascist: A fascist who believes very strongly in LGBTQ+ rights. (A Centricide character)
The Anarcho-Fascist: An anarchist with extremely rightist views on cultural homogeny, race and identities in general. (A Centricide character but was also conceived in this video)
The Moneytaker: A radical capitalist who corrupts the state to bend to his will. (Based on this video)
Tumblr media
Here's the art of the Swapped Extremes. Again, all art drawn by the person I mentioned at the start.
Tumblr media
Here's some art featuring the leader of these extremes, Guevara Jreg. Snalz sent this to me when I asked him to help with this post.
Tumblr media
Here's a comic the Jregswap team made. A dub of it was also the first Jregswap video ever made so that's cool.
The Jregswap Centrists:
Tumblr media
The centrists in the order of this image are:
The Social Democrat, The Populist, The Centrist, The Neoliberal and The Moderate Conservative.
We never really got to many details on these guys, they seem self-explanatory enough I guess. They also seem to be the ideologies in the most moderate positions of each compass quadrant. Socdem libleft, Populist authleft, Neolib libright and Modcon authright.
None of these characters are based on Jreg characters, except for The Centrist who appeared in The Political Compass Rap at the end.
Tumblr media
Here's an image of Socdem buying a non-binary flag from Geuvara.
The Jregswap Wackies:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's the image the creator posted on Reddit explaining the wackies of this universe and the accompanying art.
Guntakers origin
Techprims origin
Ecofascist origin
Anarcho-Nazbol origin
Accelerationist origin (As a note, this idea was conceived before Accelerationism made an appearance in Centricide 8)
Tumblr media
Here's an image of this AU's Nazbol equivalent, The Bleeding Heart Libertarian. Bleeding Heart Libertarians are economically right but culturally left, this idea was conceived of before Jreg had a Pink Capitalist character.
The Jregswap Overtons:
Tumblr media
Here are the moderates, or as they were called in Jregswap, The Overtons!
The (Russian) Reactionary, The Classical Liberal, The Wobblie (Industrial Workers of the World) and the Democratic Confederalist.
Similar to the centrists we never got to much information on these guys, but they are all real movements so whatever.
Tumblr media
And here's Wobblie telling you to join a union.
The Jregswap Videos:
JREGSWAP - ''Homophobic Problems'' [Pilot Episode] https://web.archive.org/web/20200628100030/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRi4sjPDRKU&gl=US&hl=en
JREGSWAP: Know Your Ideologies
Sadly, these are all the videos ever made for Jregswap, though creating an entire alternate history scenario is pretty cool I'd say.
I would again like to thank Snalz, without him I wouldn't have a link to the second Jregswap video.

I found a post on the konosuba subreddit doing a political compass "meme" and trying to say I was libright, and Kazuma as libleft.
Like do you have any reading comprehension? Did you watch my actual show???
Same with people there shitting themselves at the mere notion that I might be not straight.
Like did you see my face when I had Darkness' boobs shoved in my face?
I try to not reveal too much about myself at any point, but oh boy did I fail there

young leftists who are antis confuse me. Like how can you consider yourself libleft and then be pro censorship😭
If you are in college I highly recommend taking a human sexuality class. Not only is it incredibly interesting and makes up for the lack of sex ed (in the US) in middle/high school, it also gives you the opportunity to consider both sides of sexual morality dilemmas, aided by copious research and studies.
TW for discussion of r/pe fantasies.
A study I often like to link is this one, that found 62% of women have had rape fantasies, with around 14% fantasizing about rape at least once a week (granted, this study was only on undergraduate female participants, statistics for older women could be different). If this is such a common occurrence, why are we so against the idea?
Here is a study which found that women who have rape fantasies are higher in self-esteem, have more frequent and broad fantasies, and have more positive attitudes towards sex than women who do not (most studies on rape fantasies are exclusively done w/cis female participants, sorry for so much gendered language. This data would likely apply similarly, if not even more so for afab LGBTQ folks and trans women as the queer community is generally more open to kink and/or abnormal sexuality).
There are countless more studies supporting the idea that people engaged in sexual fantasy and kink, including hard kink, tend to have more fulfilling sex lives as well as be more likely to advocate for their own sexual rights.
Anyway, my point is: the idea that "immoral" fantasies or kinks are inherently bad is made up by conservative christians, and furthermore, is not even supported by research. If you are a leftist, you have no business shaming proshippers or people who engage in kink.
p.s. human sexuality, especially abnormal sexuality, is one of my special interests and if anyone is interested in the topic i have tons of other related research i can link in dms or comments if you'd like it. :]

Dusk is Dawn for People On the Other Side of Earth
(@raylite is the main blog that I post on, for more lengthy and things directly related to my writings.)
(POV if this concerns you: I'm a libleft queer transhumanist, genderfluid/pangender. I want to see a world with no more wars, hate, violence, injustice, poverty, diseases, and death, and I believe it's possible to realize in our lifetime. No joking tbh)
Sometimes I feel lonely.
Everyone I met was boring in some way, bc they don't seem to care about the topics I ruminating day by day. They think I need to go outside, and, then? And try to forget these arguments about transhumanism and individuality.
To think about the uncertain future of humankind and life and death and existential loneliness is mind-burdening. I'm clear about this; everyone is fighting a battle that I'm not aware of. and I don't force others to think alike.
So this is why I took up writing as a great way to speak up my values and worries to potential like-minded people that I can probably befriend. I never mind to open up and to be straightforward; I do not fear judgements and denial. I'm afraid of indifference and prejudice and rejection.

While Chase Oliver wasn't really my preferred Libertarian candidate (I was rooting for Michael Rectenwald and Joshua Smith), it's ridiculously hilarious how the right is treating him (and libertarians in general) like he's Basically a Democrat™. It's literally just the right's version of "Libertarians are just conservatives who smoke weed."
I'll be honest, when I first started looking at Chase, it was almost all ironically. I see him as something akin to an opening act. Someone that's not terrifying to newcomers, can draw ire or admiration from the left and right, and maybe actually win this shit.
Dude's not my ideal candidate, but he's probably the most viable currently around, and I agree with most of his policy.
Sure, I'd prefer if his view on the LGBT was just "We literally could not give less of a shit" but any candidate that said that would be shooting themselves in the foot.
That said, I think there's probably gonna be an attempt at replacing the libertarian party now that they're swinging for libleft. But frankly, he's more like me in the sense that "anything which allows private citizens rights is inherently better than not" so I'm honestly just at an "I'm alright with this" type of voter. Certainly no worse than Biden, but not as much like Ron Paul as I'd like.
