“The clouds roiled and groaned as if in pain, like they were giving birth to some new horror, and the man in the hat laughed and laughed, as though nothing at all mattered and soon, nothing ever would.” 📖✨📖✨📖 The fourth and final instalment of the Diviners quartet, The King of Crows by Libba Bray, was everything I wanted it to be! I loved how this series ended, and in such a powerful way, although it feels so bittersweet after going through so much with these characters. I loved how Bray managed to tie in so many of the loose threads into such a complex and emotional ending. I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book with all the twists and turns, and I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen to the Diviners and their powers. Bray’s writing style is as lyrical, elegant and evocative as ever, and it was a joy to fly through these pages. It made the happenings of the book so much more impactful due to how said events were written. I don’t want to talk too much about this book or the events that it contains because it is book 4, but wow did this series capture my heart and my imagination. I couldn’t imagine a better way for this quarter to end.
