Tumblr media
summary: bi-han comes home wounded, trying his best to keep it from you warnings: mention of blood/laceration, stitching notes: i can only think of writing for bi-han rn 😭
Tumblr media
You knew that Bi-han was hot-headed, ironically. You knew that he liked to fight and even though he would most likely win, he would still have battle scars.
It was something you expected, but never looked forward to. Bi-han has a problem being vulnerable and asking for help, so whenever he would get injured in battle he would do his best to hide it from you. Sometimes he'd get away with it and you'd eventually find out after the fact, but sometimes he's a bad liar.
It was the middle of the night when Bi-han stumbled into the temple, his brothers at his side. "Please brother, let us-" Tomas began before Bi-han shut him down. "I can deal with my own wounds." He beckons as he pushes them off and begins walking to your bedroom, holding a hand at his side. "He will be fine Tomas, the pain of us helping him would cause more damage than the wound itself." Kuai Liang reassures his younger brother as they turn and return to their own rooms to rest.
A small groan falls from Bi-han's lips as he rips the mask off his face, his teeth grinding together. He swiftly opened the door of your shared bedroom, trying his best to not wake you. As he quietly shuts the door, he turns back to see you sleeping peacefully on your side of the bed. A sigh of relief fell from his mouth at the sight of you, just knowing you were safe was enough to put him at ease.
His eyes darted to the bathroom, thinking that he could make his way there and clean up, while being quiet enough to not wake you. Bi-han would be lying if he said it wasn't difficult with the large wound at his side, but he would rather die than admit that. He took a breath before slowly beginning to walk towards the bathroom, a small wince caught in his teeth as his hand shot to his side.
As if you had super sonic hearing, you tossed in bed and turned your body to face him as your eyes slowly begin to open. Once you saw the shadowy figure in the dark, you quickly sat up. As you realized it was Bi-han, your heart began to relax for a moment. "I didn't think you were going to be so late." You whisper, still half asleep. "We ran into some trouble, it was a quick fight." He bluntly tells you, relieved you weren't able to see his wounded body in the dark. His relief is quickly gone when you reach over and turn on the soft light next to your bed. Your eyes instinctively shut as you held a hand over your eyes and try your best to focus on Bi-han. When your eyes adjust as best they could, you finally noticed the dark red on his blue uniform.
"What happened!?" You ask, now awake and pushing the covers off of your body.
Bi-han just groans before quickly walking into the bathroom. He tries to shut the door on you, but you quickly make your way into the bathroom.
"Are you okay?" You ask with your eyes glued on his wound. "I am fine." He hissed, keeping his gaze away from you. "Clearly not." You said, a bit of anger setting in.
You pushed him back and made him sit down on the edge of the tub. You turned to grab a small bit of bandages and stitching kits from under your counter. You crouched down next to him as he exhaled deeply. His hands reached down and tried to take the needles from you but you pulled your hands away from him.
"Stop." You began to open up the sewing kit. "I can dress my own wounds, go back to sleep." He tries to demand. You look up and give him a sour look before gripping his shirt. "Take it off." You demanded as you pulled up on the upper part of his uniform.
He reluctantly abides, knowing that you are too stubborn to let him do this on his own. Now with his skin exposed, you could see the wound in full. It was a large cut from his upper ribcage down to the side of his lower abdomen. "Bi-han." You breathe out as you touch the skin around the wound, feeling dried blood around it.
"You act as if I am fragile." He snarls, still looking away from you. "I know you are not fragile which is why this is a bit much, but I knw you will be fine." You nod before pouring a bit of alcohol on a rag before dressing his wound. The alcohol on the wound causes Bi-han to wince loudly as he tightly grabs hold of your leg as you stood next to him.
"Do not treat me like a child." He shakes his head, his eyes tightly pressed together. "I am not treating you like a child, I'm treating you like my husband. It is my job to worry about you, to want to help you." You explain, feeling his grip on your leg soften as he finally turns to look at you. "I know you do not want my help even when you need it, but I am always here to provide it. Because I wish for you to be safe and not in pain, just as I hope you'd like that for me." You hold his face in your hands as he looks up at you, his cold demeanor completely faded as soft eyes stare at yours.
"I would freeze the world over to keep you safe."
A soft smile goes across your lips before pressing a sweet kiss to his lips, pulling away and pressing your forehead to his.
Although you interpreted his saying as a metaphor, he meant every single word.

HEADKANONS MK1 | DARK!TRIO LIN KUEI |"-How would they react to the reader, on another man's lap? Do they have feelings for the reader."
TW: dark concept, yandere themes, violence, unhealthy jealousy, light smut, gn reader.
Tumblr media
✧ BI HAN ✧
Bi Han would enter without even seeing half of the scene, if you want to fuck like an animal you won't be in the same place as this man. He would feel betrayed and would quickly take you away from the random ninja you were flirting with and practically fuck him there, you would look at Bi Han in disbelief as he would quickly silence the man in front of you with an armbar. You cried, you knew the grandmaster's feelings but didn't want a relationship, Bi Han was like a platonic friend to you but he didn't really understand that, leading to the situation you were in now, sitting on Bi Han's lap while the man generated a small ice knife by placing it on the unconscious ninja's neck and smiling coldly in the process.
"-Well, at least he's not dead...yet." -Bi Han spoke while placing small kisses on her neck. He wouldn't touch you there, but fury consumed the man, he would arrange a small favor for Sektor later that night, promising you that the ninja would not die, for being a Liu Kuei, and would get home safe and sound if you agreed to go out with the oldest. You innocent actually believed the empty promise. Sektor got rid of the man who was coldly killed by Bi Han, while the man angrily said that you were his alone. Well, you never heard from the man again and now you were in a "relationship" with the grand master.
✧ KUAI LIANG ✧
Disappointed and angry. Kuai fell in love with you in a short period of time, you filled his heart with hope and your light warmed him. He really blamed himself for not saying anything to you before that fateful scene. He would even get your attention and that of the man you practically mounted, you seemed indifferent asking him what he wanted. Liang would talk about how you were being a bitch in a fit of rage that would lead to the man you were kissing lashing out and being knocked down by the man with a simple punch. You stared in disbelief and he told you how different he thought you really were from other people, leaving you and the man there as Kuai Liang walked out of the bar, punching anything in front of him. He would try to make amends, if you accepted, he would give you his point, telling you how special you were and deserved better. If you believed Scorpio's talk, good for you, he would take the easy way out, break up with the man you were with and date you, trying to have a healthy, normal relationship. Or you could just ignore his feelings again and just find yourself in some lonely village, in a room with Kuai in front of you, looking at his small body sitting uncomfortably in a hard, disgusting chair. "-I'll make sure you only smell like me from today (Y/N.)" - Kuai said as he took off his shirt and threw it somewhere.
✧ TOMAS VRBADA ✧
Sad and confused, but with a lot of fury. He will see the scene by chance, the poor guy was just looking for you for training for the next mission the two of you were doing together, until he saw you practically taking off your clothes and kissing an unknown ninja. He really didn't want to believe it. He loved you, he knew you and him were never anything more, but he considered you two practically boyfriends. He would practically cry there, but with one caveat, the anger would consume him. Smoke would go after the man, taking you off of him and repeatedly punching the stranger, your screams were nothing more than something distant to Tomas, who only stopped until he saw the man passed out and disfigured. He would come towards you bloodied saying he didn't understand why you didn't choose him, Tomas looked deep into your eyes while crying saying he always loved you and you never realized. You were in shock, the man reeked of blood and tears were streaming from his now dilated, terrifyingly blue eyes. You hugged him thinking about what you should do with that practically dead man there, while Vrbada cried in his lap. He would stay with you too. He would fuck you hard and mark you all over. In front of the injured man who was groaning in pain on the couch, you would just let Tomas continue his touches while looking at your own reflection in the wall mirror. When Tomas finished, he promised you that he would take care of the man and told you to wait for your new "boyfriend" in his car. You learned that unexpectedly the man you liked was found dead in a ditch the next day. And now Tomas and you were dating. "-I'll never let you go, you love me, right (Y/N)?" -Tomas spoke with a psychotic look, squeezing your hand tightly.

This my first time ever requesting anything on this site, so please bear with me 💀 I have a request for any of the Mortal Kombat 1 characters (preferably Lin Kuei and/or earthrealmers) with a special other that ats like either Deadpool or Wolverine? I've been hyperfixated on both, and would interested to see how you portray it!! Thanks 💚💚 (also, love your content btw.)
A/N: yes absolutely yes! I act like Deadpool a lot so this is gonna be fun for me😂😂 Also reader with be based off of both Wolverine and Deadpool🤣🤣😂😂 Brought to you by: Ashes by Nathan Sharp
Tumblr media
Bi Han
-> When he first met you, which was a mission to bring you back alive, your first words to him were “come at me daddy” as you pulled out a pistol
-> Confused the man right then and there, making him freeze
-> Answered back with “what the fuck is wrong with you?”
-> As you pulled the trigger, Bi Han straight up froze it with a wall of ice
-> Of course, after you shot, you came running up with your claws unsheathed, stabbing right through the ice almost hitting him
-> “There’s a lot of things wrong with me! Where should I begin? I got tortured… A LOT. Oh I was basically a lab rat for a guy, may he rest in peace, that shot me up full of drugs to stop my cancer and now I can self heal which means I can’t die which means I’m forced to live the rest of my life knowing someone took my humanity away.”
-> Bi Han is just fighting you with his mouth wide open
-> He has no idea what to even say to you
-> “Come on bub, I’m not gonna waste my time fighting you. After all I just told you I can’t die.”
-> “Can you… suffer from other things?”
-> You answered with “yes but I grow anything back that gets cut off”
-> You pulled out a katana as he came to strike down on you with an ice blade
-> There is a lot of back forth… mostly you just trauma dumping on him
-> Bi Han is just thinking to himself “I swear to the Elder gods if she doesn’t shut up I’m gonna kill her- Crap.”
-> The fight ends with him plunging an ice blade through your chest and up making you fall to your knees, pinning you there
-> “Oh I’m not new to this. I like where this is going”
-> Bi Han just crossed his arms in front of him, standing proud as a fiery portal opened up
-> “Oh great thanks dude now I’m apparently going to hell.”
-> You tried to cut the ice with adamantium claws, still stuck in your chest considering how fucking cold it was
Kuai Liang
-> Met you on accident… really! On accident!
-> He had been walking through town when he saw you flip a 6 foot dude onto his back while the rest of the bar was going wild
-> He saw your steel like claws, cutting through everything in its path
-> He HAD to meet you
-> But you were gone as soon as he went to track you
-> “Not my first time being stalked but I will say, you my friend are terrible at it.” You answered sitting on the balcony above his head jumping for him
-> He pulled out his weapon, lighting it on fire as he swung towards you, pulling onto the rope that was holding it
-> You backflipped over his head, making his back get turned to you
-> “Ooh… kinky. Not my first rodeo with that though.”
-> Just stopped in his tracks as he turned to fight you, confusing the hell outta him
-> “I You are very strange”
-> “Eh. I’ve heard that one a few times.”
-> “From who may I ask?”
-> You showed him your bloody claws that had been retracted back into your skin previously
-> You lunged at him, making him roll to the side
-> “Oh come on I hate it when the fun is-“
-> He had cut you, seeing your blood light aflame as it spew from your arm
-> But instantly, it healed, sending Kuai into a state of worry
-> You still felt the skin slowly close
-> You did have no intention to fight or kill him
-> You were mad your sleeve had been cut
-> “Oh come on this was my favorite one!”
-> Your mood changed instantly, seeming to forget he was there as you pulled off the sleeve
-> “I uh… I apologize. It wasn’t my intention to attack you. I wanted to-“
-> “No need to apologize, I just fight everyone I come across. After all I don’t know if you were trying to kill me there. Speaking of which how in gods name did you light that on fire? I’ve been trying for years and never understood.”
-> He put away his weapons upon hearing you start to ramble about random things
-> That fight ended but he asked you to accompany him to his home base
-> And of course… you agreed. Why not have fun all the time since you can live forever?
Tomas Vrbada
-> Weirdest place he met you?
-> At Johnnys house where you had been training him in weapon combat
-> Tomas had an immediate liking to you
-> You were even stronger than Raiden, who had been there with Kung Lao
-> He was entranced by your adamantium claws, your precise aim when it came to guns, and your incredible healing
-> Not gonna lie, when he first trained with you, he was so scared when he cut you deep on your arm
-> You being chill about it and going on about your day like it was nothing freaked him out
-> “You can heal yourself?”
-> “Umm… yeah? Thought Mr Playboy Billionaire would’ve told you that.”
-> “Johnny is-“
-> “Unreliable? Difficult? Stubborn? Ignoring all my advice? Yep that’s the Johnny Cage I’ve always known.”
-> You walked off with no worry, just cleaning your katanas with a soft cloth as you went to sit down next to a small pool of water
-> It took him some time, but Tomas eventually found out who you were
-> Surprise surprise, Tomas found out you’re the legend herself, the great and mighty Wolverine
-> Johnny told him that they wouldn’t allow a female to play a dominant role even though he fought against it, making some male actor the lead and changing some of the story
-> All this time thought you were maybe Wolverine’s daughter
-> But… your personality was more like Wade’s, a friend of Johnny’s who played your other “crude” half Deadpool that was actually really you as well
-> You could be two different people, and he liked that
-> So you were real, and Tomas wanted to always have his eyes on the legend herself
-> Soon enough, about some months later and after visiting the Shirai Ryu enough times, you talked to him about your trauma
-> He told you he knew about it, but he’s not one to judge what you went through
-> After all, he lost family too
-> Secretly wants to find out what exactly you can live through
All Brothers
-> Tomas is protective of you, Bi Han wants to push you to your limits, and Kuai is the one who makes sure you do the right thing, even if you feel like a bad person
-> Tomas very much admires you and I’m sure he, Johnny, and Raiden have made a fan club about you
-> Bi Han is the one who punishes you for wrongdoings, even going as far as to hurt you to make you listen
-> Kuai Liang is the one who takes care of you on your rougher days
-> All three understand they have no place try and understand the torture and pain you went through
-> All three have thought about you fighting them in a 3v1
-> You become the most important person to them for various reasons
-> Bi Han makes you important by telling you and reminding you of all the things you’ve fought so far, how strong you are to still be alive
-> Tomas always has your back through anything, specially missions or when it’s just him and you
-> Kuai always reassures you that even if you’ve done some bad things in the past, that’s not what you always will be defined as
-> However, they know you’re technically immortal and that even if you are and they aren’t, they’ll still treat you like a normal person
-> If you ever have nightmares, each brother does a different thing depending on who’s around
-> If it’s just you and Bi Han alone, he’ll immediately come to find you if you’re having a panic attack or a flashback of awful things you’ve done and said before
-> He chills you down when you’re thrashing in your sleep and burning up
-> He knows you’re not a shitty person like everyone said you were, you’re just a broken “hero” who’s been screwed over so many times
-> If it’s you and Kuai, Kuai always stays nearby with anything you need and if you need alone time, he’s still around with food or comfort
-> Always enforces that you will always be a “hero” even if you don’t feel worthy
-> Is the one who will watch your “movies” with you
-> If it’s Tomas, he’s always by your side, never wavering or leaving
-> He’s the one who’s protecting you, making sure your bad days will be good ones in any way he can
-> He’s the one you talk about your past “transgressions” with
-> Tomas always has some sort comfort thing for you wether it be a blanket or a food you like
-> When they’re all there and you’re having a breakdown or nightmare, they’ll each find a spot to be near you with all three of them cuddled against you like you’re a child
-> You’re all snuggled together like a family even if you’re all different
-> They’ll all stay till you’re comfortable, focused, and ready to keep fighting ahead
A/N: as you can see, I’m very partial to Tomas I’m sorry🤣🤣🤣 Anyways I’m back from vacation now (my bf and I went on a trip)

This one's majorly because I want your funny take on it bc my mind can't decide LMAO. Could I request LKBS when their daughter or kid is being flirted with/asked out. I majorly think Bi-Han would tweak tf out but pretend he isn't buuut- I'm here for your take on it!
My bad for the wait anon. I've been sick for over a week and I was tryna wait for it to pass but it's still here sooo imma stop waiting and thug it out. My body hates me. I'm typing this on my phone and tumblr is so glitchy on here. Imma start biting my walls-
Tumblr media
Bi-Han is for sure tweaking on the inside
It's not even just the fact that his daughter is being flirted with. It's the fact that this is happening IN FRONT of him
That gif is what he wants to do
Now do I think Bi-Han is like "oh my little girl can NEVER date?
No.
Do I think that he thinks dating shouldn't be their priority?
Yes.
She should focus on other things he deems important before getting distracted and dating
Bi-Han would just be standing there like the Hash Slinging Slasher while this rando is flirting with his daughter
If she starts flirting back, which she probably would, I could legit see him walking over and making his presence known
The poor teenagers-
"Bàba this is Dylan" "Hi Mr-"
Bi-Han grabs his daughter by the top of the head and starts walking away
It doesn't hurt. He just has a very firm hold and is like "we're going this way"
The absolute audacity to flirt in front of him? What happened to respect? Decorum?
Back in his day, he would NEVER do such a thing in front of his father. And he let that bitch die.
"Hey! Why did you do that?" "That boy is no good for you" "You don't even know him!" "Look at his arms. They're skinny. He can't protect you. He'd be dead weight"
Wow. I always love our talks Bi-Han :D
Tumblr media
I don't think Kuai Liang would start tweaking, but I think he shares the same views as Bi-Han
There's just certain things he thinks is inappropriate to do in front of parents
And by "in front of parents" these two mean "in the same area". Doesn't matter if they're on the other side of the room
"Harumi, who is that boy?" "That's Dylan! Him and (name) are rather close" "Oh so she told you about Dylan but not me?
I don't think he necessarily wants to pull her away, but he would wanna make his presence known
Y'all know how some dads are with their daughters. She's his Princess and the thought of her growing up tugs at their heart
He wants to go over and stop the whole scene but Harumi tells him no
So instead he pretends he's not staring but definitely is
This mf has the most intense gaze as he's watching them. Harumi got a tight grip on him. She needs a damn leash
At some point his daughter and Dylan (idk why this name is sticking-) look over
He's just standing there... menacingly!
"Um, Dylan, I gotta go. I don't think my dad is happy"
Meanwhile "See what you did?" "I'm just standing here"
Exactly. You're just standing there and being a creeper
Tumblr media
If this mf dies in Khaos Reigns, y'all are never seeing me again
Moving on-
I'm not exactly sure how Tomas would react
On one hand, he's grown up with Kuai Liang and Bi-Han, so he probably shares some of the same ideas and mentality
On the other hand, I just don't see him having a strong reaction
He prefers if this wasn't happening in front of him, but he kinda knows that teens don't be thinking fr
One thing's for certain though, he better not see SHIT become physical over there
No shoulder touching, no hand touching, no kissing, no hugging for too long-
It's just a bit too much
Tries to act like he's doing other shit but his eyes keep darting
Like bitch you're never pretending to be counting leaves. Didn't think this through, did you?
I can imagine his daughter looking over and being like "Hey papa! What are you doing?
"Nothing. Me? Haha... just hanging around"
"Would you like to meet Dylan?" "Well if you insist"
Actually talks to Dylan
Yay!

MK1: Thantophobia (Prologue)
(Noun), The fear of losing someone you deeply love and cherish very much.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dark Bi Han x Fem Reader
Warning ⚠️: Mention of Suicide, Mild Yandere Behavior, Mention of Blood, Dark Themes.
I tried my best to start this lovely story off with a direct (over) foreshadowing prologue.
Tumblr media
Bi Han was beyond furious with his wife, how dare she went behind his back and tried to get away from him. Can’t she see that the world is dangerous and you need him just as much he needs you. Please don’t leave him all alone like how his brothers, his father and mother did.
“You are a vile human and monster! I’m glad to have aborted this child!” The woman yelled at her husband. Bi Han was beyond furious at how dare his wife killed his beloved unborn child. He showed nothing but love and affection for her.
He gave her everything she wanted and yet she still treated him like a monster. “My love you are not well. Why don’t you rest and take a nap.” He said as the woman threw a vase at his direction but he easily step out of the way. “Get the fuck away from me! I’m not your love or wife.” She said as she walk towards the door but was pulled back by Bi Han who clutched her wrist.
“Don’t touch me you fucking asshole! I would rather die than continue being your wife. You killed your own flesh and blood! If your mother was here she would be ashamed of you!” She said but earn a painful ass slap from Bi Han.
Bi Han was breathing heavily in frustration as he grabbed his wife by her hair and dragged her out as she yelled and tried to free herself. “Let go of me!! It hurts! Let go of me! Someone help me!” She yelled as she tried to free herself from Bi Han’s very painfully tight clutch on her hair.
Tears fell from her face as she saw the lifeless bodies of Kuai Liang and Tomas on the ground. Her only ticket way out of freedom was gone as they were killed by the man that she once loved and called “husband” as she tried to break free.
Bi Han slammed the door shut and lock it as he walked away to go massacre the Shirai Ryu as his traitors of his brother were dead and dealt with. The icy weather outside intensified into blizzards as this horrific demon was unleashed.
Bi Han would do anything for his wife, he would fight many wars for her and offer his enemies lifeless head to her. “I love you so much I will never let you go. We are meant to be together.”
“I hope in different timelines, I die because you don’t deserve love and happiness. You are just a fucking vile monster who consumes innocent lives. I would rather die than be your wife.” She said coldly before turning her back to him and walk into washroom to take care of business.
She means so much to him. He won’t hesitate sacrificed the world for her as he adores her and cherish her like a good husband he is. No one can take her away from him as he will never let her go. Not even his brothers can take her away from him, he was glad to have killed them
But his actions have consequences and life was unkind. He became a very broken man, as the old Bi Han had died along side with his wife that night. His beautiful wife had hang herself as she gracefully floated like an angel before him.
Filled in immense sorrow and despair, Bi Han allowed anger, sadness and pain into his heart which turn it into darkness and anger. Angry that life took his beautiful wife away from him.
He held his wife’s lifeless body as he rock her back and forth. Bi Han didn’t care much about his wife’s infidelity with another man. That poor bastard was killed by his own cold blood hands.
So from that day onward, Bi Han went on a brutal rampage murder by killing and torturing anyone who dares opposing the Lin Kuei and to avenge his wife and won’t rest until he has her.
Tumblr media
You gasped for loudly as the white curtains in your bedroom gently swayed from the night air breeze as you began to hyperventilate from the very horrific nightmare you just experienced.
“Keep it together (Y,N) it was just a nightmare.” You told yourself quietly as you got up from your bed and closed the window shut before wrapping your robe around your body and heading towards the kitchen to make tea.
It was the same nightmare you’ve been having for quite some time. A man in blue ninja clothes with a mask on was committing atrocities on innocent people. In the nightmare he claimed that his “wife” was taken from him. You shook your head in despair and laugh very anxiously.
“Maybe I’m losing my mind because there is no way something like that would exist. Probably I’ve been reading to much horror stories.” You mumbled as you prepared your tea with honey.
A knock was heard as you jump in surprise before fear began to settle in. Who would be knocking at your door at this time and why.
Being more awake and self aware, you grabbed a knife and silently made your way towards the door before peeking into the peek hole to see who is outside but sigh when you saw no one.
You cautiously open the door as you peek your head out to find a small box wrapped with a bow and note on it that was written nicely.
I want you to be mine, selfishly, thoughtlessly, mine. My darling, you will never be unloved by me you are too well tangled in my dark soul.
You stared at the note in shock and speechless as you were very flabbergasted. A chill feeling shivered down through your spine as suddenly everything became very quiet and a bit cold.
Snapping out from your thoughts, you quickly then close the front door and lock it tightly. You let out a shaky anxious breath as that horrible nightmare was still freshly implanted on your mind. It all felt so real and as a great sense of deja vu as if you seen this small box before.
You shook your head and decided to get back to bed and get some goodnight sleep. Maybe all this is from stress and anxiety. Yeah you are just imagining things as nothing like this can ever exist. Oh so you thought you wouldn’t.
Because somewhere in the universe or in a different timeline is a broken man who lost his beloved wife and he won’t hesitate to find her. Bi Han will conquer and burn any timeline to get her back even if he has to kill his other versions of him to get you back into his loving arms.
But for now you are going to give yourself a nice goodnight sleep because tomorrow is going to be a very busy day at the marketplace. Nothing can go wrong in my life right? Please tell me that everything is going to be ok and peaceful.
You just hope all this was just a big joke or prank by your two dear friends Raiden and Kung Lao. You have nothing to worry about right? Nothing at all so just rest peacefully.
Don’t let him get me please
Bi Han is coming
Tumblr media
Hope guys enjoy this prologue please don’t forget to message me if you need any help or have questions for me. Your guys opinions and feedback is very much appreciated and helpful.
Also, check out the oc story I made today. Sorry if both stories came out a bit cringe and bland. I tried my best but as long as you guys are happy then I’m happy. You all are my inspirations ❤️.
Please check out this oc story that I made. I’m very sorry if it came out to hard or cringe. But that’s ok because I was very honored to have made it for my bestie hermana @khaotic-kris.

During the Republican Era, Shen Zhiheng, a member of the Tianjin gentry who happened to be a vampire, offended the Japanese and became the target of an assassination attempt. He was saved by a blind young lady, Mi Lan, and his best friend Situ Weilian. When he went to repay Mi Lan for saving him, he discovered the terrible family situation that Mi Lan was in, and so began to pay more attention to her. Meanwhile, Shen Zhiheng’s plan to take revenge on Li Yingliang, the mastermind behind his assassination, fell short of success thanks to Li Yingliang’s Japanese superior, raising suspicions about his identity. Since then, Li Yingliang and the Japanese were in hot pursuit of Shen Zhiheng, determined to dig out the truth about his secret.
Please do not repost this anywhere else or retranslate it!

Tumblr media
Shen Zhiheng gave Situ Weilian a call, asking how much of the task he had completed. Situ Weilian’s voice was deep with sorrow.
“Don’t worry, I’ll definitely get it done,” he told him listlessly.
“What’s wrong with you?” Shen Zhiheng asked. “Are you sick?”
“No, I’ve fallen out of love,” he sniffed into the phone, as if he was so depressed he was about to cry. “Jingxue is ignoring me.”
The second Shen Zhiheng heard that, he hung up the phone, relieved. Jin Jingxue ignoring him was very normal. Although Shen Zhiheng cared for Situ Weilian, he had to admit that Situ Weilian was not worthy of the second young mistress of the Jin family.
While Situ Weilian was suffering a one-sided falling out of love and was in so much pain he wanted to die, Jin Jingxue knew absolutely nothing about his suffering.
These few days, she had only been busy with running to the hospital. About a week ago, she had found out that Li Yingliang had gotten injured and had been hospitalised, and she had immediately gone to visit him. The moment she entered the room, she had noticed how pale Li Yingliang was. The two corners of his lips were red and swollen, and his two lips had become a red circle.
“What happened to you?” she had walked to the front of the bed, asking directly, “What are your injuries? Are they bad?”
Li Yingliang had looked at her indifferently. “Thank you for your concern, Second Young Mistress. It’s nothing serious.” Then, he had paused, and had asked hesitantly, “Are you here for me? Or to see someone else?”
“Which friend of mine would come to this kind of crappy hospital when they’re sick? Of course I’m here for you.” She had carefully examined him, extending a sharp pointer towards him. “Why has your mouth become bigger?”
Li Yingliang had regained his indifferent expression. “It was held open.”
“Ah? Who held it open?”
“A bad person.”
Jin Jingxue had snickered. “I think you yourself are the bad person.” As soon as she said that, she had straightened her face, sitting down beside the bed.
“Liang-gege, tell me the truth,” she had said softly, “are you the target of an assassination attempt by some anti-Chinese traitor organisation? I told you already, don’t work for and with the Japanese. You’ll get labelled a Chinese traitor, and it’s not a given that you’ll gain any benefits out of it. And, it puts your life in danger.”
Li Yingliang had been particularly cold to her that day. Because his lips truly hurt, he could not put on a fake smile. “Can the Chinese promote me? Can they make me an official?”
“Why must you definitely become an official? Isn’t running a business the same? As long as you have money to spend.” She had held her very exquisite little head high, her freshly permed curls quivering. “Here, I can promise you that if you are willing to resign and return home, I’m willing to spend money and support you. It’s a good thing I’m younger than you, I’ll definitely live longer than you and I can support you until you’re old and see you off when you pass away, caring for you for an entire lifetime.”
Li Yingliang had looked at her, his voice even, “Second Young Mistress, you seem to have a misunderstanding about me.”
“What misunderstanding?”
“I’m a person, not a cat or a dog.”
Jin Jingxue had tilted her head, smiling. “Of course I know! You’re nowhere as cute as a little cat or dog.”
“Besides clothes and a roof, I also need to marry and settle down, and start a family of my own. Do you want to support my family as well?”
Jin Jingxue had sat in deep thought. Li Yingliang’s legs and left forearm had been in terrible pain, but even so, he had still wanted to kick Jin Jingxue out of the room. She always made him angry, and he had really been on the verge of getting annoyed to death by her.
At this moment, Jin Jingxue had spoken, “I can’t support your entire big family, so I’ve decided to forbid you from getting married. Just stay by my side obediently!”
Li Yingliang had smiled slightly, replying internally, “Fuck you!”
Jin Jingxue was convinced that Li Yingliang had been targeted by the anti-Chinese traitor organisations, so she did not dare make it public, only visiting him and bringing nourishing food with her when she did over the course of ten continuous days. On the eleventh day, Li Yingliang ignored the doctor’s attempts at stopping him, forcefully discharging himself from the hospital and sneakily hiding in Li Guisheng’s house to let his wounds recover. Jin Jingxue could not find him, and had no clue where he could be, and could not help but be worried. Naturally, she was not in the mood to entertain Situ Weilian. So, to put it in more detail, both she and Situ Weilian were now injured, they both held melancholy in their hearts.
As for Li Yingliang, although the saying goes “injured bones and tendons take a hundred days to heal”, after resting for a month, he removed the splint on his left forearm, and could already slowly stand up to walk. This time, he had lost a lot of blood and he had been severely injured. He was already an attractive young man [1] , and now he was even whiter. With his skin like ice and his bones like jade, together with the lack of any expression on his face, if anyone saw him at night, it would be quite frightening. This was especially given how he had slept too much the previous month, and now he frequently suffered from insomnia one month later. At night, he could not lie down and keep still, and would often drag his two hurting legs to pace around his room. With a white face, stiff legs, and a left forearm that was plastered close to his body, he would spend a good part of the day walking around the room stiffly.
To take care of him, Li Guisheng slept in the small cubicle beside his room. When he wanted to cut through the bedroom to leave the house to pee, he bumped into him the second he left the small cubicle. This gave him so much of a fright that his pee started trickling, almost releasing it all over the floor. He even came down with a low fever the next day, very nearly falling ill.
Fortunately, one and a half months later, Li Yingliang could move around freely. He packed up his things and left the Li residence, returning to his own home.
Li Yingliang felt that he had not recovered well from this injury.
He could not exert force using his left forearm, and although the two holes from the chopsticks in his thighs had already closed and healed, the scars they left behind often hurt. It was a pain that he could feel all the way to his bones. However, he did not hate Shen Zhiheng bitterly because of this; before bearing hate, he had more important things to do.
He held a few meetings with Yokoyama Akira, particularly to discuss Shen Zhiheng. Until now, he still dared to pat his chest and affirm that Li Guisheng had indeed killed Shen Zhiheng that night.
Yokoyama Akira thought for a long while, and finally said, “Your man killed Shen Zhiheng, and that night, Shen Zhiheng’s body disappeared. One month later, Shen Zhiheng reappeared looking normal. He was not a body double, and he treated you amicably and agreed to your invitation.”
“Sir, at that time, he did not look extremely normal, more like he had just recovered from a serious illness. But the next day, when he attended the dinner, he looked much better.”
Yokoyama Akira nodded, “Your man said that the night when they killed Shen Zhiheng, it had been incredibly difficult to kill him. Even when he had been shot in the head, he did not die, and had even retaliated and killed two people. So, your man had used a machine gun to shower him with bullets, and had even driven over him.”
“Yes, he had been completely crushed.”
“And when Shen Zhiheng attacked you, his skill was also… beyond what you could imagine? Is that the phrase?”
“Yes, that’s the phrase. Beyond what I could imagine. He grabbed my gun so quickly I could not see it clearly.”
Yokoyama Akira frowned. “How strange! Could it be that he’s a great master?”
“But Sir, looking at his actions and behaviour, does he seem like a great master?”
“No.”
Li Yingliang agreed.
Yokoyama Akira pondered, “If he doesn’t seem like a great master, then what does he seem like?”
Li Yingliang licked his lips, finding it difficult to say it out loud, “I feel that he… there’s something evil about him, like… a demon or a monster.”
 Yokoyama Akira blinked, looking at Li Yingliang. Li Yingliang was well aware that what he had just said did not make any sense, and felt uneasy. However, after blinking, Yokoyama Akira said, “If he’s really a demon or a monster,  then he’s even more valuable.”
Li Yingliang decided to change his tactics against the demon or monster Shen Zhiheng.
He wanted to meet Shen Zhiheng, but Shen Zhiheng was usually active in the concession zone, and the Japanese influence did not allow Li Yingliang to throw his weight around in the English and French concession zones. So, if Shen Zhiheng did not want to see him, there was no way for him to bring his subordinates to go up to his door.
However, Li Yingliang had both courage and smarts. He decided with resolve that he had to find Shen Zhiheng. Even if Shen Zhiheng morphed into a ground beetle [2] and crawled into the cracks in a wall, he would break off a tree branch and poke him out.
Previously, Li Yingliang never particularly paid much attention to Shen Zhiheng, until when he had decided to kill him and had asked Li Guisheng to follow him. Now, he started to research this person in earnest, and discovered that there were indeed many mysterious things about him.
Firstly, he had no wife. Even if he had no wife, that was not a big deal. But he did not go to the brothels, and neither did he like any dancing showgirls. He did not even have a servant girl staying at his house. In a nutshell, he was completely not interested in women. The only person who went to his house frequently was a little doctor called Situ Weilian. For a time, Li Yingliang had a suspicion that Shen Zhiheng preferred men instead, but upon further snooping, he discovered that there was no intimate relationship between him and Situ Weilian. Besides, Situ Weilian was currently openly pursuing Jin Jingxue; his taste was quite bad.
Secondly, he did not have any servants or attendants who stayed close to him. He kept a distance from everyone around him, apart from that Situ Weilian.
Thirdly, which was something someone had told him as a joke, was that Shen Zhiheng had quite a frightening hobby: he loved watering his flowers with human blood. He obtained his blood legally through Situ Weilian, buying it from Keats Hospital.
After hearing these three pieces of information, not only did Li Yingliang not smile, his heart even contracted in terror.
Besides these three pieces of information, everything about Shen Zhiheng was meritorious. For example, although he was wealthy, he was not proud at all. He always treated people affably, was both cultured and polite, and even enthusiastic about charity, often doing good deeds. He also treated his friends well; when General Mi’s daughter fell ill and had to stay in the hospital, there was no one available to take care of her, and he had gone to visit her daily, and Mrs. Mi was immensely grateful towards him.
Li Yingliang had forgotten about General Mi recently. It was only after hearing this that he remembered him. Thinking about General Mi, he then thought of Young Mistress Mi; he had seen Young Mistress Mi before! That night, he had happened to do a good deed, he had fetched Young Mistress Mi home from the street–
Li Yingliang suddenly felt that something was off: first, Shen Zhiheng’s corpse disappeared on the first night, and on the second night, not far from where Shen Zhiheng had been attacked, he had met Young Mistress Mi who was alone. And now, Shen Zhiheng, who distanced himself from women and who did not seem to be close friends with General Mi, visited Young Mistress Mi everyday. Why? Young Mistress Mi was still a child, Shen Zhiheng could not have fallen in love with her.
If it was not love, could it be that he owed her?
Li Yingliang was a man of action. After thinking so much that his brain was in a mess, he decided to personally visit Shen Zhiheng. Yes, he had killed Shen Zhiheng once, but Shen Zhiheng had also killed him once, so following this line of thought, he felt that they were now even. That afternoon, he headed to Victoria Hospital, intending to catch hold of Shen Zhiheng.
That noon, the bright and sunny day suddenly became dark, and by afternoon, it was snowing heavily. It was terrible weather that could cause a person to freeze to death. Li Yingliang alighted from the car and raised his head. The skies were steel grey and the snow blew in the wind, hitting people square in the face. Fortunately, he was dressed in the most premium woollen coat from England, and it was of thick material. Wrapped around his neck was also a smooth mink fur collar, which helped block the snow and wind. Adjusting the brim of his top hat, his ears were a little frozen, but he did not complain. After all, this hat was enough to feed a normal family for half a year.
Without any warning, he was hit with an emotional lament: dressed in his thick woollen coat, he thought back to the cold and hungry days of his past. Now, he had been reborn as a human being, and even if he had to risk his life for the rest of his days, he had to hold on to the woollen coat and expensive top hat that he now wore.
Collecting his thoughts, he raised his head and looked at the entrance of the hospital. Before the hospital doors was a flight of high stone steps. He was sure that Shen Zhiheng was now in the hospital. Should he then go straight into the hospital to find him, or should he stand here and wait?
In any case, the one surnamed Shen could not escape from him today.
Right at that moment, he suddenly noticed someone standing on the stairs.
It was a girl, dressed in deep grey Western clothes, with a silver grey cloak wrapped around her. She was dressed completely in grey, and seemed to nearly become one with the grey stone steps. A pale white face faced outwards, and her eyelids were slightly lowered, filled with lofty indifference. Her cloak was a little askew, revealing a good part of her right forearm. She wore a small sheepskin glove on her right hand, which was grasping a thin black cane.
Li Yingliang’s first thought was that this girl looked very familiar. Then, he remembered – Young Mistress Mi!
Today’s Young Mistress Me looked much more presentable than the Young Mistress Mi he had seen that night. She was standing there, dressed neatly, could it be that she had fully recovered and was about to leave the hospital?
Li Yingliang thought, “Young Mistress Mi.”
These three words seemed as if they held a cryptic, hiding meaning, but he had yet to decipher what exactly it was. Walking towards the steps, he said merrily from a distance, “Young Mistress Mi? Is that Young Mistress Mi?”
Mi Lan raised her eyelids, turning to face his direction. That turn was extremely nimble, completely unlike a blind person. Li Yingliang continued to greet merrily, “When I saw you from a distance, I thought that it looked like you, but I didn’t dare to recognise you yet. It turns out that my eyesight is quite good, it really is the young mistress. Young Mistress, you must have definitely forgotten me already? I am–”
Mi Lan suddenly said, “Li-shushu?”
Li Yingliang was startled. “How did you know?”
Mi Lan remembered how he had extended a helping hand to her that night, and smiled at him, “I remember your voice.”
Li Yingliang was very surprised, and felt a little touched at the same time. He did not expect that he had left such a deep impression on her. “Why are you standing here alone? Are you ill?”
Mi Lan nodded. “I’m already better. I’m leaving the hospital today.”
 Li Yingliang went “oh”, and was just about to inquire more, when the doors of the hospital opened and a person walked out. That person was dressed sharply in a suit. He carried a small leather suitcase in each of his hands, and two bills hung from between his lips. He had used his shoulder to knock the doors open, and then squeezed his body out sideways.
Li Yingliang raised his head to look and was about to say something when Mi Lan turned her head and spoke first, “Mr. Shen, are the formalities completed?”
Shen Zhiheng could not open his mouth to speak, so he eyed Li Yingliang and went “mm”, going down the stairs.
Mi Lan nodded at Li Yingliang. “Li-shushu, thank you for bringing me home previously. I’m going now, farewell.”
Then, she stuck out her walking cane, leaving without any hesitation, her actions even faster than a normal person’s. While Li Yingliang was afraid that she would roll down from the stairs, he was also busy with looking at Shen Zhiheng. Shen Zhiheng stopped at a high point, lowering his head to look down at him. After looking for a moment, he suddenly extended his arms to him and passed him the suitcases.
Without knowing why, he received the suitcases in confusion. With his hands freed up, Shen Zhiheng stuffed the bills hanging from between his lips into his coat pocket, and then snatched the suitcases back from him.
Watching him going without saying a single word, Li Yingliang hurriedly said, “Mr. Shen, what a coincidence. We meet again.”
Shen Zhiheng asked him quite amicably, “Aren’t you afraid to see me?”
“Haha, Mr. Shen is joking. Of course I’m not afraid.”
“Then why are you trembling?”
“I’m cold.”
“Please take care of yourself, Chairman Li. I have other businesses to attend to and will take my leave first.”
He and Mi Lan walked towards the car. Seeing that matters were developing unfavourably, Li Yingliang chased after them, “Wait! Last time, I almost died at your hands. This time, I still dare to come to see you alone. This shows that I don’t mean any harm to you at all!”
Shen Zhiheng stopped in his steps, turning his head and smiling at him. “But I do.”
He continued walking forward, helping Mi Lan and her two suitcases into the car. Then, he closed the car door, turned around, and walked to Li Yingliang.
“From the start, we were supposed to stay out of each other’s way. From now on, we can continue staying out of each other’s way. But you’d better stop making trouble for me, or else–” He moved to his ear, lowering his voice, “I will eat you.”
Then, he could not help but inhale deeply, the scent of flesh filling his nostrils entirely. He realised that he was growing increasingly tempted by live people. This was not a good sign.
Li Yingliang stumbled a step back, “What do you mean? What do you want to do?”
Shen Zhiheng patted his shoulder. “Whatever you can think of, I’m capable of doing it.”
Turning around, he opened the car door and got into the car. Li Yingliang stared hard at the back of his car, until it disappeared in the wind and snow.
Sitting in the car, Mi Lan asked Shen Zhiheng, “Do you and Li-shushu have a grudge against each other?”
Shen Zhiheng held the steering wheel, trying to recognise the roads in the middle of the wind and snow. “Li-shushu? When did you get to know him?”
Mi Lan told him the truth, and Shen Zhiheng listened without making any comments. He only said, “We do have a grudge against each other. That night, the person who killed me was him.”
He thought that as a young lady, her reaction would be to advise him to have compassion and not keep seeking revenge against Li Yingliang. However, Mi Lan did not say anything. It appeared that to her, this topic had come to a conclusion.
Shen Zhiheng sent Mi Lan back to the Mi mansion.
When Mi Lan was about to die, Mrs. Mi kept screaming “Lan” and crying her eyes out, as if Lan was her precious darling. When Mi Lan gradually got better, that one remaining fleck of motherly love of Mrs. Mi’s became jealousy, because Shen Zhiheng went to visit Mi Lan everyday. This blind wretch that just could not die had actually gained the love and care of a man.
If the man who cared for her was a worthless poor young man, the most Mrs. Mi would have done was to ridicule her at home. However, that man was Shen Zhiheng. She had been beautiful during her youth, but now she was reduced to a grass widow. What right did the blind wretch have to get to meet a golden bachelor everyday? Where was the justice? The blind wretch was blind, but was Shen Zhiheng blind too?
Mrs. Mi was full of hate, but she did not know whom to hate. With a straight face, she grudgingly thanked Shen Zhiheng. Shen Zhiheng did not stay for long, leaving after he saw Mi Lan and her suitcases into the house. Seeing him go off like that, Mrs. Mi thought that he had seen her black face and had left in anger, and both anger and satisfaction filled her heart as she thought that she had ruined her daughter’s marriage fate. Turning around to look at Mi Lan, she realised that after falling sick and staying in the hospital for two months, she had actually become fatter, and she immediately sneered.
Mi Lan ignored her.
Mi Lan had originally always ignored her, and now that she had a powerful friend like Shen Zhiheng, she was even lazier to entertain her.
At noon the next day, a girl came to the Mi mansion.
The girl lived in a Western-style house at the corner of the street, and her father was the manager in a foreign company. She studied in a missionary school and always went to and from school everyday by herself. Everyone on the street knew her. She hesitantly knocked on the Mi family’s door, saying that they had formed a choir class, and that they wanted to organise a performance during Christmas and the New Year, but were lacking in people. As Mi Lan was close in age to them, she had come to ask Mi Lan if she was willing to join their group and practise singing with them every afternoon in the chapel.
As Mrs. Mi had yet to wake up, Mi Lan decided for herself, agreeing in a heartbeat. When Mrs. Mi woke up and heard that her daughter was going to sing songs with a group of female students, she laughed out loud, telling her daughter to “not make a fool of herself”.
Mi Lan lowered her head and said, “I have already promised her… I’ll go and try. If I can’t sing, I’ll come back.”
Mrs. Mi continued laughing raucously, as if she wanted to laugh out poison and spit it onto her daughter. Mi Lan ignored her, and when the afternoon came, she felt her way out of the door to wait for that girl, and really followed that girl and left.
That girl was Situ Zhenni’s classmate, and Situ Zhenni had been entrusted by Situ Weilian. Situ Weilian had fulfilled his task, making such a big round to create an opportunity for Mi Lan to leave the house everyday, allowing her to live peacefully in the church for a good part of the day.
The first day that Mi Lan went, she did not say anything after coming home. On the afternoon of the second day, she got ready much earlier than needed, and before she left, she heard her mother laugh, “This child is really so shameless. They’re taking pity on you because you’re blind and just casually invited you, but you’re still taking it so seriously, going day after day like it’s endless. The girls in that choir class are all neat and proper, but look at you, looking so terrible but still forcing your way in. They can’t kick you out openly, but they must be laughing at you in their hearts, and even laughing at me together with you as well.”
Hearing her mother say this, Mi Lan gritted her teeth. First, she stood ramrod straight without moving an inch, and waited until Mrs. Mi became bored out of her wits and shut her mouth. Then, she suddenly extended her hand and pushed the door open, striding out.
She trotted down the steps, and as she was not wearing a hat, her long hair and the corners of her coat floated out behind her in the wind. The old maid wanted to chase after her with her hat, but when she stepped out of the door, she saw that Mi Lan had already left the gates and was standing on the road. Her walking cane was clamped under her armpit and the snowflakes drifted directly into her widened, unblinking eyes.
The old maid did not want to get snowed on, and so she retreated back into the house.
Mi Lan did not know why she was so furious this time. Tripping over a stone, she whipped out her walking cane and turned around, yelling as she struck it.
A sharp pain coursed through her hand [3] as the tip of the walking cane struck the stone. Grasping her walking cane, she stood still, her frail chest moving up and down as she breathed heavily in the cold wind. Suddenly, she turned her face, hearing the sound of a car in the distance.
The car approached rapidly and braked to a halt before her. The door opened, and a familiar voice rang out, “Young Mistress Mi?”
She replied in her heart, “Li-shushu.”
Li Yingliang had realised that his approach to Shen Zhiheng was akin to biting off more than he could chew, and so he had changed his strategy again, and started to pester the people around him. The previous afternoon, he had gotten to know that Mi Lan would regularly go to sing at a choir class. He had personally come over today, lying in ambush near the Mi mansion, as he wanted to have a chance encounter with her. Little did he know that Mi Lan was unlike herself today. He had always thought that she was a poor little thing, and had never expected that she could also throw a temper tantrum.
Seeing her lose her temper, Li Yingliang got confused instead. “Did your mother beat you again?”
Mi Lan shook her head.
Li Yingliang sneezed in the cold wind, and then making up his mind, he dragged Mi Lan into the car.
After living for twenty-eight years, this was Li Yingliang’s first time inviting a person of the opposite sex to sit with him in a café.
He ordered a glass of juice for himself, and a plate of biscuits, a plate of sweets, and a mug of hot chocolate for Mi Lan. Mi Lan’s style and the impression that she gave others were a little similar to those of Shen Zhiheng. Her body fit the standard of a clothes rack; it was designed to display a full body of trim Western attire. It was very easy for someone dressed in grey woollen Western clothes from head to toe to resemble a grey mouse, but she looked nothing like it, thanks to her upright posture, her sharp and narrow shoulders, and her thin and defined waist. Facing Li Yingliang, she first smoothened her messy hair, then took out a handkerchief to aggressively wipe the snow and water from her face.
She busied herself, and Li Yingliang waited until she was done, before opening his mouth probingly, “Still angry?”
Mi Lan shook her head. “Not anymore.”
Li Yingliang pushed the mug of hot chocolate to her hand. “Drink something hot first. Where are you going? I’ll fetch you there later.”
“I’m going to the chapel.”
People in the area all knew where the chapel was, and so did Li Yingliang. “Oh, that’s very close by. Just one step of the gas and we’ll be there.”
Although Mi Lan knew that Li Yingliang was Shen Zhiheng’s enemy, she did not harbour any hate towards him personally. Li Yingliang’s murder of Shen Zhiheng had happened before she had saved him. The things that had happened before had nothing to do with her, because before, she had not gotten to know Shen Zhiheng yet. “Knowing” was a watershed, in that before it, Shen Zhiheng was a stranger, and his life or death had nothing to do with her. The Shen Zhiheng after the watershed was different; he had become a personal god who could make her smile when she simply thought of him.
“Did Li-shushu come to me for something?” she asked.
“I was passing by your house, and happened to run into you.”
Mi Lan remembered that the car had sped towards her from the middle of the road. It had not just passed by; it had been waiting there all along. Not long after she had walked out of the gates of her house, it had suddenly moved.
But she was too lazy to expose Li Yingliang’s lie, and so she continued to ask, “Does this have to do with Mr. Shen?”
Li Yingliang realised that this little girl was a little strange; it was as if there was nothing she did not know. It was no wonder that quite a few blind people were fortune tellers, he thought. Perhaps they really knew some secrets of heaven, and so had received divine punishment.
“You’re very clever,” he praised sincerely. “Then let me be honest. The day before yesterday, at the hospital entrance, Young Mistress Mi might have already heard it. There is a big misunderstanding between me and Mr. Shen. Now, I want to reconcile with him, but he’s not giving me any chance at all. So, I wonder if Young Mistress Mi can mediate and help me pass him a message. Of course, I won’t let you do it for nothing. Whether I succeed or not, I will repay you heavily in thanks.”
Mi Lan replied, “Sure.”
Li Yingliang paused, thinking he had heard wrongly. “You’re agreeing just like that?”
Mi Lan nodded. She wrapped her mug in her hands and started to drink the hot chocolate. Li Yingliang was still in disbelief. He smiled, speaking in a tone that sounded as if he were teasing a young child, “Then you must not lie to me!”
Mi Lan raised her head. “I’m not lying to you. But I must ask you a question now, and you cannot lie to me either.”
“Go ahead.”
“Am I ugly?”
The answer hung on Li Yingliang’s lips, but before he answered, he specifically took a long, careful look at her. As she was so serious, he wanted to answer her seriously as well.
“You’re not ugly, you’re very good-looking. Your eyebrows particularly look like my little sister’s. When I was young, I thought that my sister was a beauty, and that when she grew up, she would definitely be able to marry into a wealthy family to live a life of luxury, and no longer have to suffer and starve.”
“Then is she now married into a wealthy family?”
A sharp edge suddenly flashed through Li Yingliang’s eyes. “She died a long time ago.”
His cute and pitiful little sister, the one he was dependent on and her on him, had died a long time ago, while stupid and noisy Second Young Mistress Jin was still alive and full of vitality. So, he hated Jin Jingxue. If Mi Lan were also a pampered, healthy, and lively young mistress, he would also have hated her. He also knew that he was a vile person himself; he already had so much wealth and influence, he owned Western suits and sat in cars, and yet he was still so vile.
As for today’s meeting, since they both received sincere answers, both Li Yingliang and Mi Lan were quite satisfied.
Following that, Li Yingliang fetched Mi Lan to the chapel. Mi Lan sang for a whole afternoon, and then asked Situ Zhenni to pass a message to Situ Weilian, that she wanted to meet Shen Zhiheng.

The word used here is 小白脸子 (xiǎo bái liǎn zi), which literally means “little white/ pale face”. It figuratively refers to young, pretty men.
土鳖 (tǔ biē) is a kind of ground beetle, but the word is also used to scold people, similar to “hillbilly”.
More specifically, the area of the hand between the thumb and second finger. This is called 虎口 (hǔ kǒu), literally “tiger’s mouth”.

MOREEEEE i need more angsty subscorp au you just wrote. What would happen if hanzo finally realized kuai liang gone through many shitty things. i need more info about this au plssss
So, they meet again at the tournament when Kuai Liang goes to kill Hanzo for killing his brother (In this au Bi-Han didn't actually die, Hanzo just faked it so he could get the deal from Raiden without pissing off Quan Chi, but Bi-Han was still very injured so Kuai Liang doesn't know that)
The Cyber Lin Kuei don't intervene but at the last moment Kuai Liang recognizes who Hanzo is and stops, walking away instead. Hanzo is confused by this until he overhears Raiden calling Kuai Liang by name and is shocked.
Hanzo goes to confront Kuai Liang, finding him packing to go on the run.
Hanzo: Were you ever going to tell me?
Kuai Liang: Tell you what? And when, hm? It's not as though you've given me many chances to explain myself.
Hanzo winces
Hanzo: That you were Lin Kuei.
Kuai Liang freezes, shoulders dropping with a sigh
Kuai Liang: I honestly thought you knew. It's not as though I worked very hard to hide it.
Hanzo: I didn't know. Things would have been different, if I had known, I-
Kuai Liang, bitterly: Right, yes, you would have killed me on sight had you known I was just another piece of "Lin Kuei scum" how foolish of me to think otherwise
Hanzo: That's not-
Kuai Liang, exhausted and resigned: What do you want, Hanzo?
Hanzo: I know you. Lin Kuei or not, you don't spend seven months loving someone and not know who they are.
Kuai Liang: You don't know the first thing about me, that has become abundantly clear
Hanzo: Then why not kill me?
Kuai Liang:..........
Hanzo: I thought I'd lost you that night you disappeared because you were bored, because you didn't want me anymore. Is that true?
Kuai Liang: No
Hanzo: Was I a mission?
Kuai Liang: What? No! How can you-?
Hanzo: Then why did you leave?
Kuai Liang: I didn't have a choice! If I didn't go back, they would have tortured Bi-Han as punishment for my rebellion, and if they found out about you-
Kuai Liang cuts off, fear in his eyes.
Kuai Liang: I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye, I didn't- It wasn't safe.
Hanzo: Then why did you come back?
Kuai Liang:.......
Hanzo, softer: Why?
Kuai Liang: I thought I'd found a way out. A mission went bad, enough that they would think I was dead and I-.....I didn't-
Kuai Liang turns his gaze to the floor.
Kuai Liang: I wasn't thinking, I just....wanted to see you
Hanzo sucks in sharp breath, dread pooling in his stomach
Kuai Liang: It was stupid and it no longer matters
Hanzo: Of course it matters, why would-
Kuai Liang, shoving him and screaming: Because you didn't want me! You sent me away! I would have been happy just being at your side, just getting to see that you were loved and safe and happy. I wasn't trying to take you away from her, or- or intrude and impose, I just wanted to be near you
Hanzo tears up and stumbles backwards.
Kuai Liang, crying: You didn't lose me, you sent me away. There's a difference.
Hanzo: Kuai Liang, I-
Kuai Liang: But that wasn't enough for you, no, you had to murder my brother-!
Hanzo: Bi-Han is alive.
Kuai Liang:.....what?
Hanzo: I made a deal with Raiden and faked his death. He's in the Wu Shi's quarters so that he can heal. He's alive.
Kuai Liang stares at him for another moment, gaping wordlessly, before grabbing his bag and storming out of the room, leaving Hanzo on his own.

summary: bi han misses his brothers
warnings: child abuse (brief)
Tumblr media
Bi Han stared at the photo sitting in the desk drawer. He had meant to throw it away when he let his father die, but for some reason, some irrational part of his heart had wanted him to keep it. And so he did. But as he stared at it now, the photo crinkling in his frosted hands after his brothers had betrayed him, he wished he had thrown it away. It was an old photo of when he was younger that his mother had taken without him knowing. He had a stupidly soft smile on his face as he stared at Kuai Liang and Tomas practicing one of the basic stances. They were all so young back then. His parents had always stressed the importance of family, to stay connected, to always help each other out. So why hadn’t Kuai Liang and Tomas helped him? Why had they abandoned him?
The grandmaster couldn’t help it as he remembered meeting his brothers for the first time. How his father had finally opened the door to the room where his mother lay, a small bundle of cloth in her arms. He had walked over a little hurriedly, excited to see his mother again after so many hours of being apart from her, and Bi Han just stared at the small sleeping face of the baby in her arms. His mother spoke in a soft voice, not too loud or harsh, and had told him to meet his baby brother Kuai Liang. He was so delicate, soft, and weird looking. Bi Han pointed it out, and his father gave him a glare. His mother just laughed, saying that Bi Han had looked just as weird when he was born. That earned a pout from a younger Bi Han.
Then, his mother offered to let Bi Han hold Kuai Liang and gently transferred the baby in his arms. Just then, the baby opened up his eyes, dark and warm, and he reached out a hand toward his older brother. Bi Han raised up a finger, and Kuai Liang wrapped his tiny little fist around Bi Han’s thin finger, making what sounded like a gurgling sound. The memory would forever be imprinted onto him.
When they had gotten older, Kuai Liang just having finished his first day training, they both sat at the dinner table with their parents as his younger brother complained about being tired from training all day. Bi Han rolled his eyes and nearly elbowed him in the ribs to make him stop being so loud and to finish his food if it weren’t for his mother picking up some food from the plates in the middle and putting it into his bowl and telling him to eat more. Bi Han just thanked his mother quietly, eating the food she had placed in his bowl. Then, he glanced at Kuai Liang pouting and picking at the rice in his bowl, and Bi Han rolled his eyes and picked up some lamb from the dish in the middle with his chopsticks and placed it gently into Kuai Liang’s bowl.
He remembered when Kuai Liang had gotten in trouble, stole something from the kitchens for a midnight snack but had been too loud while sneaking back in and had found his father sliding open the door to their shared room and caught Kuai Liang eating the food. His father: so cruel and so cold to Bi Han and so kind and warm to Kuai Liang. Bi Han was always envious of how he was so cautious and caring to Kuai Liang but then demanding and harsh to him. And yet, at this moment, as his father stride toward Kuai Liang, disappointed and angry, Bi Han said he was the one who had snuck to the kitchens and stolen the food and given it to Kuai Liang. He remembered that night well, how the sticks had hurt more than usual, and only because Kuai Liang watched with wide fearful eyes, small tears in the corner, until their mother pulled the younger brother away.
Bi Han remembered meeting Tomas well. Huddling and shaking but still bearing his teeth like a feral animal as he hugged his mother’s dead and bleeding body. The Lin Kuei grandmaster had put on the mask of indifference, glancing at the Lin Kuei soldiers whose weapons still dripped with the blood of those on the ground. It was Kuai Liang, on his first patrol, who had reached his hand out first to the shaking boy, who was only maybe a year or two younger. He walked out to the boy slowly, extending the hand, and Tomas had stared at it and taken it, bringing him into the Lin Kuei family.
The boy was silent for the longest time and hugged his mother’s hunting knife in bed like the cuddliest toy, but Bi Han understood. If his mother had been torn away from him so violently in front of his eyes, he would hold onto every memento of her like it was a precious treasure. Tomas rarely ate for the months following that and stayed cooped up in the nursery most of the time. It was only when Bi Han had grown tired of the wasted food that he had brought Tomas’s meal personally and made sure that the boy ate all of it that Tomas finally came out of his shell.
Bi Han quickly learned that Tomas was not a hermit and was quite adventurous, loud, excitable. Kuai Liang and Tomas often clashed with their opinions, fighting and screaming at each other, but at the end of the day, they were now brothers and always made sure to protect and guide each other. With Bi Han, Tomas was quiet, respectful, but he would bring him food, always made sure to give him the last orange slice and or pile on food to his bowl of rice. Tomas was always observant and listened quite well. He probably heard how their father kept Bi Han in his office late at night to scold and berate him for each and every miniscule mistake.
And then when their mother had died so suddenly and quickly, healthy one moment and then sickly the next and then dead. Kuai Liang and Tomas had been there for Bi Han while he grieved. They were all close to their mother, but Bi Han had always had a special connection with their mother. Perhaps it was the bond of firstborn and mother because she always looked to Bi Han first to coddle and care for. Perhaps because she was much kinder than his father. Perhaps there was no special connection. But Bi Han loved her, and Kuai and Tomas had been there to help stitch his bleeding heart together.
They were brothers. There for each other from the heavens to the core of the earth. Through stormy nights and soaked uniforms to blistering days and sunburnt skin. From grief to happiness. For every meeting and mission. And then they had abandoned him because Liu Kang had told them to. That damned god. Keeping the Lin Kuei from progressing, keeping them hidden in the dark, keeping him from his brothers.
Bi Han will choose war because he will kill a god for his brothers.

Part two of Syzoth x Lin Kuei!Reader plz!! I know it didn't get as many hits as the others but lizard boi is so precious so I beg 🙏
NUWA’S RAZOR. (part two!) / SYZOTH X LIN KUEI! READER.
Tumblr media
a/n: i appreciate the interest billions! it’s never about the hits for me— but knowing it caught your interest means i’d write more 100 times over! thank you so much again for the ask; and as requested, a continuation!
Tumblr media
- You’d never truly questioned Bi-Han. He was your brother, your sibling; a part of you, a part you thought you could trust till your dying day. You’d had your arguments, of course. Which one of your siblings hadn’t you? But never too far, never longer than a week, never remembered after a month. But Father? The truth devastates you when you hear it from Kuai Liang’s lips; having returned from the mission Liu Kang had assigned your siblings with. Your own brother? Responsible for letting the man who raised you die? Your own brother? It’s the first time any of the Earthrealmers had ever seen such an expression on your face; pure and utter disbelief.
- The first person to find you when you escape to find some silent place that’ll allow you enough room to scream— is Syzoth. Not your brothers, not the Earthrealmers, but this odd Zaterran. Not quiet enough for your trained ears; even now, ringing with your own agony, you know he’s there the second he’s entered your own space.
“Leave.” It’s enough to make Syzoth flinch. You’d spare him an apology, but in your despair, all your sentiments have died with your father. Yet, despite your harshness, Syzoth continues approaching. Slowly— carefully. From the corner of your eye you can can see his hands, folded together before him. A sign of hesitation. When you look up at his face, red hot rage; the soft remorse of his features makes you stutter to a stop. “I’m sorry.” You don’t want his honesty. It’s blinding, too warm, and even as you turn your head away— you can still feel his eyes on the back of your head. “May I stay here, with you?” Your own brother. Allowed to die by your own brother. The boy who your father held in his own two hands. “Please.”
- There, in the silence, Syzoth remains with you. No closer, no further; he gifts you your space to mourn— and when you gaze back at him, finally, he’s there, looking over at you. Soft green eyes and a reassuring hand; held out for you, to pick you back onto your feet. No need to wipe a proud Lin Kuei’s tear, but not so proud as to not embrace him. A rush decision- parted before his arms can encircle your form, but a ‘Thank you’ in a way words won’t let you speak. The scent of you remaining there in his nose as you walk away. Back to your mission, back to him, but pausing to look back. Enough to tell him to join you. You'd made a promise to him after all. He'd get his vengeance; and maybe you could vent some of your rage at Shang Tsung as well.

MY, YOUR, OUR WEAKNESS
Tomas x Bi-Han x Kuai Liang
Tumblr media
~~~~~~~~~ฯ~~~~~~~~~~ฯ~~~~~~~~~~~ฯ~~~~~~~~~~ฯ~~
- She's gone.
- No! My mother can't be dead! She's too strong, powerful to…
- She's gone, Bi-Han!
- N-No… N-No, It can't be true…
- Bi-Han, son. You got to stay strong to…
- This is all your fault… - Moving away from his father's touch on his shoulder, the younger cryomancer froze the older one's feet before hurriedly walking away with watery eyes. - You let my mother die for this damn realm!
- Bi-Han!
- Stay away from me! Never put your hands on me again!
Tomas was passing through the corridor towards the practice room of Xiaoqing, the Lin Kuei's Elder Arcanist, when he heard screams and soon saw Bi-Han running out of the Grandmaster's office.
Worried, he decided to follow the young cryomancer into the bedroom.
- Brother, are you…
- Don't call me that! - Said coldly, despite his voice shaking from crying. - Y-You don't have that right.
- B-But I thought…
- I only have one brother! - Bi-Han almost shouted before looking at the Slavic. - A-And his name is Kuai Liang.
Just turning towards the bed, without having time to reach it, his knees got weak and the cryomancer succumbed to the pain.
Tomas, feeling pity - and something else - squeezing his heart, knelt down too and hugged him tightly from behind.
- I know how you're feeling... - Unable to contain his own tears, the younger wet the cryomancer's shoulder. - I know how deep is the pain you are feeling right now. I've felt it too... - Bi-Han just cried, Tomas whispered close to his ear in the hope of comforting him. - And it also hurts me to lose my second mother. - And how it hurt... - But this will pass, you will...
- F-Forget my mother like you did yours? This will never happen! - Bi-Han let go of Tomas' arms with renewed strength. Standing up as if he were possessed, shaking with rage. - All those… - Tomas had never seen him with so much hatred in his eyes. - All those responsible for her death...
- Bi-Han…
- Will pay! E-Everyone…  Everyone will pay.
…..
- Bi-Han, I did it! I finally managed to master Typhokinesis! - Tomas was smiling from ear to ear. He had waited for hours – at the entrance of the Lin Kuei's fortress – for the return of his older brother just to tell him the news. - Father said I can join you and Kuai Liang on the next mission.
- What? - Bi-Han sounded almost outraged, cursing under his breath. - What is that old fool thinking?
- Bi-Han... - Tomas followed behind the older and colder one, still yearning for kind words and maybe his touch... - A-Are you proud of me?
He craved love, any display of affection, from the cryomancer.
- Why should I be? - Not even bothering to look at the younger one, he quickened his pace. Too angry at the possibility of having to take someone as weak as Tomas on a mission.
- B-Because we are brothers.
- I only have one brother.
- B-But father said that…
- He's a senile old fool! - In the way that always took Tomas' breath away and made him shake like a scared child again, Bi-Han looked him in the eyes and stated in a firm voice. - I don't care at all about the things he says. You and I are not equal!
….
- Father is dead.
- Dead? What do you mean dead? H-He can’t be…
- He's dead, Kuai Liang!
- H-How did this happen?! You were with him, Bi-Han! H-How come you don’t…
- I tried to save him! - Seeing his younger brother's deplorable state, he decided to lie coldly, hoping to alleviate his pain. - But I couldn't... - The pain in Kuai Liang and Tomas' eyes was visible despite the tears, a pain that Bi-Han didn't share. - Everything happened so fast. When I got there it was already too late.
Kuai Liang started panting from crying, collapsing on the floor crying compulsively.
Tomas could barely stand in the late cryomancer's office, just watching Kuai Liang fall apart and controlling the growing willingness to do the same. Before he took the first step to console Kuai Liang, Bi-Han knelt down in front of his younger brother and hugged him.
- He's gone. But our life goes on, brother. - Bi-Han said calmly, stroking Kuai Liang's hair and holding him tighter. - I'll always be here for you. I will always be by your side. - The young pyromancer just cried, returning his older brother's hug and succumbing to the pain that consumed him. - Everything will be fine.
Bi-Han noticed when the typhomancer ran out of the office, but his priority was in his arms and he would not leave his blood brother to comfort the orphan.
Tomas was aware that for a long time Bi-Han only saw him as a burden and, not wanting to receive the older man's look of scepticism again, he ran to his own room and closed the door before throwing himself on the bed to burst into tears.
He couldn't believe that his father, Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, a man always so strong and powerful, could be dead.
- N-Not again. - He squeezed the pillow, already damp from crying. - N-Not a-again…
Unable to help it, his thoughts sailed through his deepest memories, returning to the pain he felt in his childhood when he lost his twin sister and biological mother, then the death of his adoptive mother who treated him like her own son until she died in combat when he was still a teenager…
Now another one, his father and Grandmaster, having just entered adulthood.
He could barely breathe and felt like he was going to pass out from so much pain and sadness.
"Why do I keep losing the ones I love?"
"Why?!"
- Tomas. - The youngest Lin Kuei sniffed deeply when he heard Bi-Han's voice followed by a few knocks on the door. - Tomas, are you okay?
"Am I?"
Tomas looked at the clock on the bedside table:
2:40 A.M.
"How can I be okay if 7 hours ago you said our father had died?"
- Tomas?
- I… I am.
- Good.
He left.
He didn't want to come in to see how I was...
He never hugged me...
He didn't look me in the eyes to see how much I lied and how much I needed him to hold me tight.
The thing that I appreciate the most about Story of Minglan is how pro-active its female characters are. It’s not just a show meant to highlight the exploitation and vulnerability of women in the context of the Song Dynasty society (although we certainly get to witness that); but one that lets their fierceness and determination and agency shine. It’s so remarkable that the majority of the plots in the show are centred around women and resolved by women. Even when it comes to the case of antagonists like Lin Qinshuang, Xiao Qin-shi, Old Madam Wang, the empress dowager etc, they are imposing figures with complex motivations that contribute to all the important developments. When little Minglan gets orphaned, it’s Hualan’s advice to Wang Ruofu that appeases the Wei family and Old Madam Sheng who steps up to take Minglan under her wing when her own father wouldn’t. When Molan has an affair, it’s up to Wang Ruofu and Old Madam Sheng to take the initiative to speak to the Liang family about a possible marriage. When Gu Tingye proposes marriage to Yu Yanhong, it’s her mother the one who needs to give the final approval and in the end cuts him off. When Qi Heng gets threatened, again it’s Princess Consort Yong pulling the strings. Consort Rong decides to murder the Yong Family (the family of the prince about to inherit the nation, mind you) to get revenge for the rape and death of her younger sister. Shulan’s divorce is negotiated by her own mother and grandmother, and not her father. When Auntie Kang is killed, it’s Old Madam Wang the one going to imperial palace to scheme against Tingye. Minglan gives up on ever expecting her father to give her justice so she steps up and takes extreme measures to get revenge for her mother’s death, and her contribution is what helps Yanran, Shulan, Kang Zhao’er, Zhang Guifen, and finally Old Madam when she gets poisoned. Even Concubine Wei, who always insisted on keeping a low profile, was ready to go to the Kaifeng Court to prove Xiao Die's innocence (so you see where Minglan gets it from). And Lady Bai was ready to divorce her husband and walk away with her children after finding out how she was used. Even that small moment of Mingyue asking to have her family’s slave contracts returned to them so she can escape being forced to become a concubine to a man she doesn’t like is so satisfying to see. It’s just so great to get a show like that that’s not just trying to make a point about the suffering of women, but actually lets its female characters be active participants in their own stories and take control of their lives instead of being subservient to male character, or reducing them to the role of the love interest or a passive sufferer.
The Ice Goddess and Her Icy Warrior Chapter 15.
A/N: I don’t know Cyrax’s real name, so I gave him a name! Motswane which means good. Also, I found this beautiful gif on pinterest.
“The reunion.”
Smoke and Cyrax were sparring together. Each was equal in their skill and might, but Smoke proved more fluid and speedy. With a precise move, Smoke struck Cyrax in the chest with a palm strike. Cyrax flew away from the ring. He rolled and fell face-first on the floor. He let out a pained groan.
Smoke smiled, proud of himself and his skills. He chuckled triumphantly as he stared at the fallen Cyrax.
Tomas placed his hands on his hips. “Hey, Cy,” Tomas called loudly. “Even after decades, you still didn’t lose it!”
Cyrax rose to his feet, wiped the dirt from his face, he chuckled, and walked to Tomas. Then both warriors bowed to each other.
“You too, Tomas,” Cyrax muttered his tone is soft.
A familiar, melodic voice called for these two. “Hello, Tomas and Motswane,” Selviya greeted with her sweet voice.
Smoke and Cyrax blushed at the sight of Selviya. She wears a light blue cropped Topshop denim jacket, a red blouse, a blue navy jean skirt, and blue high boots.
“Soo, Where have you been?” Cyrax prompted as he crossed his arms. “We didn’t see you this morning,”
Selviya chuckled as she awkwardly rubbed the back of her head with her hand. “Oh, I was on a mission to hunt down Kano,” she replied with a sweet voice.
Smoke and Cyrax were concerned, but from the look of it, Selviya managed to get out of it alive. “So, we take it that you succeeded?” Tomas inquired. He had a big grin on his face.
Selviya nodded her head as she smiled; this time she smiled devilishly, hinting that she had done something terrible to Kano. Both men gulped in concern. They pitied Kano.
“Umm, Selviya? What did you do?” Cyrax asked.
Selviya put her hand on her mouth. “Oh, nothing much,” she snickered.
Both men's interests were piqued. They wanted to know what Selviya did to that bastard Kano. In the meantime, they are waiting for Selviya to explain more.
Selviya sighted. “Well, He gave Kuai his scar,” She explained. “It’s only fair he has a scar of his own,”
This information astounded Tomas and Motswane. So it was Kano's fault that their friend's face was scarred. They complimented Selviya for her efforts in apprehending Kano and giving him a scar on his eye.
Tomas smiled as he crossed his arms once again. “If you ask me, He deserves worse,” Tomas declared.
Cyrax nodded his head, agreeing with the smoke. “Totally, that bastard deserves to die,” Cyrax announced. His tone is laced with disdain and disgust towards Kano.
Selviya chuckled again. "I really wanted him dead, but Sonya insisted I bring him alive," Selviya said in a neutral tone.
“So, how did you fight him? With Ice daggers or Kori swords?” Smoke inquired curiously.
Selviya smiled because both men were interested to know more about the incident. “I used my ice daggers,” She told them.
Cyrax smiled as he raised his eyebrow at Selviya. “You didn’t use a Kori sword like Kuai?” Cyrax asked, amused.
Selviya's smile disappeared as she tilted her head and furrowed her brows. “What’s a Kori Sword?” She asked.
Tomas and Cyrax looked at each other in confusion. Smoke was about to say something but Cyrax stopped him by a hand gesture.
“A Kori sword is a long and strong sword made of ice,” Cyrax explained. “It’s the most strong and recognizable weapon that cryomancers use,”
Selviya hummed in understanding. “I see.” She mumbled. “I don’t know how to make it."
Tomas smiled at her. “Andêl,” he called softly. “Why don’t you ask Kuai Liang to help you with that?”
Selviya gazed at Smoke, She smiled and nodded her head. “That’s a good idea!” She muttered.
In the meantime, Kuai Liang rummaged through his room, looking for something. Then an old and worn photo fell of a leathery bag he owned.
Kuai Liang picked it up from the floor and decided to study it. It was a photo of him, his brother, and his mother.
Kuai Liang smiled at it. He felt bittersweet but remembered he had a mother. She was a beautiful American-Chinese woman. He felt saddened by forgetting her name. How could he ever forget his mother's name? The reason he was brought to this universe A traitorous tear escaped his eye. He felt bad and ashamed. In all honesty, no one can blame him for that; Kuai Liang had been through a lot. He was brought into the Lin Kuei, a merciless clan of assassins and monsters. He was automated to be a Cyborg, then killed as a Cyborg by Queen Sindel, and then resurrected by Quan Chi and enslaved by him.
Sitting on his bed, Kuai Liang stared at the picture of his mother. He wondered if she was still alive. Has she forgotten that she has two sons? Has she moved on? And where is she now?
An urgent knock on the door brought Kuai Liang back to reality. Immediately, he turned to the door.
“Enter,” Kuai Liang ordered.
The door opened to reveal Selviya, his girlfriend, He looked at her, and she was gorgeous. She is wearing an elegant red cropped Topshop, a light denim jacket that adds an extravagant touch, and a navy jean skirt to match her blouse with blue high boots. She looks elegant and beautiful; Kuai Liang noted that.
Kuai Liang smirked as he walked towards her. “Hello, love,” he said with a charming tone. “You look gorgeous~"
Selviya chuckled as she pulled Kuai Liang to her.
“You look handsome yourself.” She muttered with a lovely tone.
Kuai Liang blushed. He felt the heat on his groin. He tried his hardest to snuff the desire inside of him and focus on the matter at hand: finding his mother.
“Thank you, Selviya.” Kuai Liang spoke in a soft tone.
Selviya noticed that Kuai Liang’s room was quite a mess. His drawers are left open, the shelves are disoriented and messy, and the papers are everywhere, just as other things are discarded on the floor carelessly. His room was like a teenager’s room; it was unordered and troubling. Selviya sighed in complete annoyance at him.
“You know, it’d not kill you to tidy your room,” Selviya muttered in annoyance.
Kuai Liang only rolled his eyes at her as he crossed his arms. He didn’t answer her at all, She got a point. His room is messy as never before.
She strolled to the mess. As she began to gather the papers and tidy them together, She glanced at his bed. She saw a lot of pictures lying there, but only one specific picture caught her eye. It was a photo of a beautiful Chinese woman hugging her two little boys. As Selviya was walking to see the picture, her gaze was fixed on it.
She held the photo with delicate hands as she examined it before her. Her crystal blue eyes were drinking in every detail. The woman in the photo was a beautiful young Chinese mom. She was hugging her two little boys. Her wide, gentle smile and her warm chocolate eyes are unique features of hers. Her posture was relaxed and happy. This photo reminded Selviya of the old family photos back in the 90s and 80s. She knew these little boys were Kuai Liang and Bi Han. They looked so innocent and cute. Who would have thought they’d turn into merciless assassins for Lin Kuei?
Finally, Selviya’s gaze left the photo, She handed Kuai Liang the photo, and she smiled at him. She didn’t say anything at all. Because she didn’t know what to say, Selviya inwardly cursed the Lin Kuei for what they did to Kuai Liang and Bi Han. They took these little innocent boys and turned them into monsters. Selviya was in deep thought; she wasn’t brought back to reality until Kuai Liang cleared his throat.
“Selviya,” He gently called her.
She looked at him and smiled. “Yes? Kuai Liang?”
Kuai Liang breathed deeply. “Selviya, I need your help to find my mother."
Somehow, Selviya wasn’t shocked at all, As If she knew he’d ask her something like this. Her smile widened, Her eyes sparkled as she nodded eagerly like an anime girl.
Kuai Liang blushed as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. He shot her an awkward smile. “In all honesty, I forgot my mother’s name,” Kuai Liang muttered. His tone was laced with embarrassment.
She grinned in an ornery way, She let out a cute chortle, and Kuai Liang chortled with her too. Thankfully, His blushing is reduced quickly.
She winked at him. “I’ll help. Just hand me the photo.” Selviya said reassuringly.
Kuai Liang handed her the photo. She glanced at her boyfriend as she took the photo of him.
Selviya delicately held the photo as she started to use her psychometry ability. Selviya opened her eyes. A brilliant blue light shone from her eyes as a radiating beacon in the night sky.
Kuai Liang was impressed by her powers. So, He nicknamed him ‘Star Babe’.
Moments passed. The brilliant blue light that shone from her eyes was gone now. With a confident smile, she handed him the photo and said,
“Mei Wang, She lives in NYC Chinatown,” Selviya revealed. She paused for a moment. “She owns a Chinese restaurant called Red Lotus."
Kuai Liang was gobsmacked. He couldn’t say anything because he was speechless. He finally spoke. “Wow.” He grinned at her.
Selviya smiled at him. “Let’s go find your mother.” She waved the keys in front of Kuai Liang’s face.
Before leaving. Selviya told Kuai Liang to change his clothing into something normal. like modern clothes. He begrudgingly nodded and changed his attire.
He is now wearing a blue navy t-shirt, black jeans, and sneakers. He looks like a normal man. not a Lin Kuei assassin. Selviya approved, and they are ready to go.
Selviya and Kuai Liang quickly strolled to Selviya’s car. She used her key to turn on the car, and they entered. Kuai Liang sat in the shotgun seat and Selviya in the driver seat. They quickly put on the belts, and they are ready to go.
Selviya quickly opened a portal to NYC with a quick wave of her crystal silvernium. Selviya quickly drove through it. A bright white light flashed brightly for a few milliseconds as they found themselves in NYC.
“Well, we reached our destination.” Selviya began. Her tone is laden with warmth and joy. “New York City!"
Kuai Liang was busy looking at the people. He was studying the city in front of him, The buildings, People, and everything. The city looks crowded, Busy, and Full of life. A lot of people—From different countries and races were walking to do their daily activities.
It was truly an amazing sight to see. He looked at Selviya and smiled. In the deep recesses of his heart, he wished he could have a normal life like them too: living in a society, walking to work, living in a neighbourhood. Maybe, in another life, Kuai Liang would be a different person, a normal one.
Kuai Liang didn’t notice Selviya lowering down her window. He was startled by the loud Chinese music and the deafening fireworks. He breathed calmly to steady his nerves.
Selviya chuckled at him as she flashed him an ornery grin and said, “Sorry about that."
He only smiled at her. “No problem,”
Chinatown was a bustling kaleidoscope of sights, sounds, and smells. The streets were lined with vibrant red lanterns. yellow and red banners that hung from the shops’ fronts.
The air was filled with enticing aromas of food, tea, goods, herbs, and spices that had been brought from China itself. The street was filled with people of all ages, cultures, and different backgrounds.
Selviya liked the city so much. She really wanted to enjoy her time here. But she had a mission, and she couldn’t delay it. The city was amazing, beautiful, and vibrant with life. It’s rich with history and what it has to offer tourists.
Selviya finally parked her car in front of a big Chinese restaurant. It has a big sign written in Chinese and English: ‘Welcome to Red Lotus Restaurant!'.
Kuai Liang looked at the sign. He studied the place with his eyes. It was a big, attention-grabbing place. He is proud of his mother for being successful. Then he looked at Selviya. “This is it.” He muttered softly.
Selviya nodded. They both entered the place. They were met with a tantalising scent of A Chinese incense. A female waitress rushed to welcome them and show them their booth.
In all honesty, the pair were tempted to forget their mission and enjoy a delicious meal of Chinese cuisine. But no. Their mission comes first.
Thankfully, the waitress found them a strategic booth in the restaurant. a corner where they can watch from a perfect angle.
Selviya glanced at the place, Examining it with her blue-crystal eyes. She smiled at the waitress, She raised her finger to order but Kuai Liang beat her to the punch and asked the waitress for two cups of tea only. She nodded and strolled to fetch their order. Inwardly, Selviya was not happy, She wanted to order dumplings but she brushed this off.
“Focus on the mission, Selviya,” Kuai Liang reminded her.
Selviya sighed annoyingly. “Okay, dear,” she mumbled.
Selviya wanted to argue, but the corner of her eye caught something. A beautiful Asian middle-aged woman She wore a red, elegant cheongsam. Her black, greying hair was neatly tied into a bun, ornamented with chopsticks. adding a touch of Chinese style to it. Her facial features were aging but beautiful nonetheless; her lips were adorned with red lipstick, and despite her age, she looked gorgeous.
Selviya blinked thrice at this. She knew this was Mei Wang, Kuai Liang’s mother. She quickly nudged Kuai Liang with her finger, and she whispered to him to look at the middle-aged woman with the red cheongsam. Kuai Liang nodded. There was a silent understanding between the two. They kept looking at the elegant woman with the red cheongsam.
She walked with such grace and elegance that befitting of an owner of this fine establishment. Her steps were light and quiet, just like those of a lioness.
Upon hearing her speak to one of the waitresses, Kuai Liang recognised her voice and her sweet and gentle tone. That was indeed his mother. Time was cruel to her. Despite what his father did to his poor mother, she was still strong, willing to fight and move on.
Kuai Liang felt a stab of guilt, The same questions echoed through him, Will she remember him? Will she recognise him? Did.. She moves on?
Selviya got to her feet. She flashed him an ornery grin. Much to Kuai Liang’s chagrin, she quickly walked towards the woman with the red cheongsam. She smiled at her and greeted her in Chinese.
“Nǐhǎo!” Selviya greeted her. She quickly bowed to her. It was an Asian greeting.
Behind Selviya, Kuai Liang grumbled as he joined his girlfriend’s side and smiled at his mother. He greeted her too, and he hoped beyond hope that his mother would recognise him.
The woman with the red cheongsam smiled, She greeted them too. “Nǐhǎo,” she kept smiling at them.
She paused as she studied the couple's faces. One looks familiar to her, while the other isn’t.
With an unexpected move, She cupped Kuai Liang’s chin as she smiled at him. He yelped at this, But he was happy. This meant she recognised him, She gently traced the scar on his eye with her index finger, Just like a mother comforting her child.
Her smile widened. “Wǒ de háizi,” she whispered to him, trying her hardest not to cry.
She gently held his hands. She squeezed them as she felt him, making sure that this was real. not just another dream.
Then they embraced each other in a deep and tight hug. Finally, a mother and her child are reunited after decades of being apart.
“Wǒ de mǔqīn,” Kuai Liang whispered. Tears welled up in his eyes.
“Wǒ de hàizi,”she repeated as she hugged him tightly. Tears welled up in her eyes too.
Selviya smiled at this sight. She felt her heart melt at this view. As she started to wipe her tears at this.
Mei and her son, Kuai Liang, finally broke the huge “My baby,” Mei began. “I missed you so much." Her tone is sweet and accented with a Chinese accent.
Kuai Liang smiled as he wiped his tears. “Me too, Mother,"
Mei pulled Selviya and Kuai Liang to a closer booth. They sat down, and Mei motioned for the waitress to bring menus for them.
The waitress quickly obeyed her orders and brought 3 menus.
“I want you to tell me everything. But first of all, Where’s Bi Han?” His mother asked. Her tone is warm and melodic.
“He is fine. Mother.” Kuai Liang replied softly.
Mei looked at Selviya and smiled at her. “I’m happy my son found a girlfriend,” she giggled.
This made Kuai Liang and Selviya blush. They chuckled too.
Mei breathed calmly. “I’m glad that we found each other, Kuai, You have no idea what I have been through,” She paused for long moments and continued: “The things your father did before he kidnapped you and your brother, the efforts I made to even find one clue where you two were,”
A tear rolled down Mei's cheek. She smiled brightly. Because she lived to see her son again. She was able to find her sons before she died, which was her only wish. And it came true.
The trio started to talk with each other. Kuai Liang started to tell his mother about his life in the Lin Kuei, The first day their father brought them, He didn’t forget and never did, It was the day his life turned for the worse.
He kept telling his mother other things. He even told her how he met Selviya, his girlfriend. And so on. Oh and his mother has been missing out so much. She had alot to catch up on!
Translation: 👇🏻
Nǐhǎo: Hello (or Hi) It’s a greeting.
Wǒ de hàizi: My Child
Wǒ de mǔqīn: My Mother.
no closer could i be to god (or why he would do what he's done)
hi everyone! i have been thinking a lot about bi-han's traumas with the lin kuei (and his father, more specifically) and wanted to write something about it. i literally took most of this out of my ass, so it's not canon compliant at all lmao. the title is from hozier's "de selby (part 1)", which was my soundtrack while writing this. hope you enjoy this angst train!
watching the snow is always a soothing experience. to bi-han, at least.
him, kuai liang and tomas have set camp in the middle of a forest, a few miles away from the ying fortress. the undercover part of the mission requires extreme carefulness, resulting in no light or heat sources of any kind, especially during nighttime. sitting in between the trees at the early hours of the morning, it’s bi-han’s turn to guard his brothers’ sleep. he knows both of them don’t mind the cold – especially kuai liang -, but bi-han can’t help but smirk at the thought that he’s the one awake when it starts to snow.
he doesn’t mind it. he did, once – but now, bi-han can’t tell how much of him is organic and how much of him is just ice in a human form. his powers are such a fundamental part of himself and how he interacts with the world around him, that remembering how things were before them just feels uncomfortable and incomplete. he recalls the nights spent under heavy snowstorms, blinded and hindered by the sheer force of it. he recalls seeing the look on his mother’s face once his father began his training – well, the cryomancer training at least.
he does not remember this first lin kuei training, a distant and foggy memory he often recalls solely due to his mother’s accounts. bi-han does not remember being anything before he became a fighter. his first memories are mostly training ones, and thinking about them is often unpleasant. remembering his weakness is not the type of reminiscing he enjoys; dwelling on past mistakes does him no good when he can’t become better from them. there is nothing else to improve by thinking about his childhood, so he doesn’t.
he does remember his first cryomancer training. he had just turned 16 and his father had just returned from a mission. he remembers the look on the old man’s face once he entered their home, after the usual medical check-up and mission report. his father was equal parts terrifying and severe – and seeing the almost malicious look in his eyes is something that stills haunts bi-han, as much as he tries to evade the memory. he knew what turning 16 meant; he always knew, he was being trained for this exact moment all his life. bi-han had never been anything but resigned and reliable, both to his father and to the lin kuei. he knew it would happen eventually – and would gladly die in the middle of the storm if it meant honoring both his family and his clan.
without a word, his father guided him to the backdoor of the house, opening it. the exit led to a forest, much like the one bi-han sits now. and, without a thought, bi-han left the warmth and walked aimlessly for five days in the middle of a snowstorm.
he remembers every single second of those days. he recalls the feeling of hopelessness that arose once he realized he could no longer find his house. he recalls the excruciating pain in every inch of his body, both from hypothermia and from the walk. he remembers the delirious visions he endured, the wolf he had to kill in order to eat and survive. the rules were clear: no fire, no shelter. meat was eaten raw and bloody and warmth was not an option, not even from the skin and fur he removed from the animal. he remembers the sound of the wind, the cracking of the trees. he recalls the wetness of his pants and shoes, buried so deep in the snow he could barely feel them after a couple of hours.
he recalls collapsing after the third day, feeling every single snowflake that covered his skin before passing out.
his body was found on the fifth day, under a thick layer of snow. he woke up three days later, in one of the rooms on the medical pavilion of the lin kuei temple. his mother sat by his bed, a thick coat covering her frame. bi-han didn’t understand at first – the place felt incredibly warm, almost uncomfortably hot; she would have no reason to wear such a garment indoors. and then he realized the heavy condensed puffs of air that left his mouth with every breath, along with the delicate ice formations that covered almost every single part of the room, from the bedframe to the walls. worse, he could somehow feel every single part of that ice, almost as if they were extensions of his own body. he realized he could move them, if he focused for long enough, stretching up to the ceiling or recoiling to just the bedframe. it felt wonky, like a broken member – he could feel it, but controlling and moving felt painful.
this memory in particular amuses him. it not only shows him the obvious – he has drastically improved his skills since then, becoming the cryomancer the clan needed -, but the fact that he survived all that time in the cold with no aid or protection showed him how strong he actually was. it showed him that, even in the most adverse situations, fighting against mother nature itself, bi-han could and would rise victorious, no matter the cost. mastering ice was a natural, almost logical consequence of his existence; bi-han does not dwell on subjectivities or emotion and prides himself in his practicality and logic. his ego is often fed by the fact that he knows he’s good in every single thing he does – and that very few, almost none carry the same strength, resilience and greatness as he does.
bi-han is aware, however, that his father would never be satisfied. in his eyes, bi-han was not and would never be enough – and bi-han knew that. he was acutely aware of the critical stare the man always sported and the disdain in his voice every time he interacted with bi-han. being the eldest son taught him that praise and affection were achieved through servitude and resignation; and even when he worked his hardest and pushed past every single limit, the praise he craved deep down was still uncertain. even in death, bi-han knows every single situation his father would’ve criticized his choices, down to the exact words he would’ve used. always the same tone, always the same phrases.
in the years preceding the old man’s death, bi-han became aware of the patterns. he always knew them, at least subconsciously, but they only became notable once he actively looked for it. bi-han knew how and what and when he would say something, almost like a script from a play. it became predictable and, therefore, able to be used as leverage. bi-han couldn’t openly confront his father, he was still grandmaster of the lin kuei after all. but he could make sure the man ate his words every time he opened his mouth – and that felt enough of a victory as he could achieve at the time.
he does not dwell on their last conversation. he does not feel guilty for their last encounter.
he does feel guilty for not seeing his mother in her last moments, however. the news of her passing was delivered to him upon return from a mission, along with kuai liang. even then, bi-han knew he could and would not grieve her as she deserved – the clan needed a strong figure to support his father and kuai liang and tomas needed someone to lean on. he knew he would never be able to properly express how important she had always been during his upbringing and how much of her heart he still carries to this day. every single memory he has of her is crystalized in time inside his mind, secretly treasured like a hidden chest of precious jewelry.
kuai liang is terribly like her, in the best and worst ways possible. he has the strong sense of justice and rebellion that she did – a fierce and strong warrior, capable of the most amazing accomplishments he’s ever heard of. his mother was fire itself: bright and brilliant and terribly passional. unchecked, his mother could devour entire villages all by herself. as much as mastering ice was his own nature, mastering fire was kuai liang’s. as much as becoming grandmaster was his destiny, becoming the lin kuei’s general was kuai liang’s.
bi-han notices the sky beginning to brighten. if they lifted camp now, they would probably arrive at ying fortress before dawn.
duty called – and, once again, the lin kuei rose to the challenge.
at least, for now.
Can you write about the female reader teasing Smoke while cuddling? 😁
A/N: I’m collecting all the Mortal Kombat fans like Pokemon cards now and I couldn’t be more prouder
Warnigns: GN!Reader gets kidnapped + blood warning + The Lin Kuei brothers fight each other + fluffy content at the end
Smoke x GN!Reader
“This is the dumbest idea we’ve ever had.” Bi Han growled
Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, and Bi Han walked around the underground grave, looking around as the other Lin Kuei foot soldiers started building a camp to stay in. They weren’t leaving this place anytime soon.
“Well they’re our bargaining chip so they’ll come soon.”
“My brothers are not idiots.”
“Yet I know one of them is going to slip up.”
Shang Tsung and Quan Chi left, Bi Han staring at the cage Quan Chi built to keep you contained. You had two guards always watching, your leg tied by a chain so you wouldn’t even think of escape, frozen extra solid by Bi Han’s ice. He scowled at you, noticing your dirty and poor living condition. You still had open wounds all over you, pathetically covered in pieces of cloth, staining them to the point you could see the blood underneath.
“You are a pathetic excuse of a Lin Kuei soldier. I know they’ll come for you, Tomas always does.”
Some time earlier…
“I can’t climb that. What do you expect me to do? Have Kuai pull me up with ropes? Have Tomas carry me?”
You remember the scowl on Bi Han’s face, much like the one he gave you now. He hated you, you always knew that. You just never expected he’d hurt his brothers the worst way possible.
“Don’t you fucking dare!” Tomas shouted as he lunged at Quan Chi
Kuai Liang and Bi Han were fighting Shang Tsung, both trying to incapacitate him so they could bring him back to Liu Kang.
“Then why don’t I do this?” Quan Chi replied darkly
Quan Chi’s dark magic opened up under the ground, four ropes of it grabbing your arms and legs, holding you down to the ground. You struggled, but Quan Chi had strong mental power and hold of dark magic.
“This is pitiful.”
One flick of his hand and Kuai Liang and Bi Han got sent into the wall while Tomas was grabbed by one more of the dark magic ropes. He tried stabbing it, smoking away, nothing worked. Quan Chi tied down Bi Han and Kuai Liang on their knees in front of Shang Tsung, being held back by animated corpses.
“Work with me, and I can make the Lin Kuei great and feared again.”
You saw Bi Han’s eyes scan around at each of you in the room, resting them on you as you were helplessly tied down by the magic.
“Bi Han I swear on the Elder Gods if you do this-“
“And what if I did?”
“You wouldn’t hurt us, we’re your brothers, and Y/n is practically like our family too.”
“She’s family Bi Han! Don’t destroy what Father worked so hard-“
“Father was an old man who lost his mind, and I’m glad I left him to die. Now, I’m going to make sure both of you are without the distraction once more.”
Bi Han was let go, standing up as he walked over to you and crouched in front of you.
“You have no place in our family, even if you care about Tomas. You are nothing, and you always will be.”
He kicked your face, feeling the actual strength he’d been holding back from you in practice. It was painful, painful as hell. He kicked you once more, blood falling from your mouth and your eyes almost shut, but you could see his eyes staring at you with years of hatred. He was going to make everyone suffer his wrath, even his own family.
“You mother fucker!”
Quan Chi’s grip on Tomas loosened as he sent a smoke bomb out. Through the thick fog you could see Tomas move to help Kuai Liang up, starting to make his way to you.
“Get her out of here and into the tomb. She’s more valuable alive.”
Tomas and Kuai were fighting Bi Han as Shang Tsung and Quan Chi dragged your body down the cold stone hallway, as you could only watch as the room became smaller and smaller the more you got dragged away.
“You are a shame on the name of the Lin Kuei! Both of you! I am your Grandmaster and you listen to me!”
“I’m not listening to your shit anymore Bi Han! I’m going to end your reign of terror right now. Give her back now!”
“Tomas were outnumbered.”
Animated corpses crawled from under the ground, slowly going to surround both Tomas and Kuai, moving them to the edge of the stone balcony. Tomas could only fight in fear as he watched you get dragged away.
Now…
“Oh I’m going to get out of here Bi Han and when I do, I’m going to make sure you suffer for what you did to your brothers.”
“Ha! Not by the grace of the Elder Gods you won’t. You have no chance of even making it out of this room alive. You’d be dead before you could even think of fighting back.”
You wanted to curse him out, call him a bastard, but you knew words weren’t going to do anything now. You could see his smug expression while he crossed his arms, staring down at you like a dog in the streets.
“It’s been five days, I doubt they’ll be coming for you.”
Five days… this had been hell on Earth for you. Little did you know, somebody was making his way inside. Eventually, Bi Han followed Shang Tsung and left you alone with two foot soldiers. Even if you tried to escape now, the chain on your ankle would stop you. Your body felt weak, feeling faint at the loss of blood that seeped into the dirt you sat on. So, you closed your eyes, praying someone would save you as you fell to the ground.
“Hey! Y/n! Tomas over here!” You heard
Your hearing was starting to sound like you were going underwater, the pain slowly drifting away and you felt lighter, feeling calm as your eyes remained closed.
“No no no no! Y/n! Wake up!”
Through the darkness and light feeling, you could feel someone holding you, putting your body against their chest as they stood and picked you up, walking fast as more voices began to speak.
“Liu Kang!”
“Time to go! Right now!”
You felt the person holding you tightly, their grip never letting go as you felt warmth start to touch your skin. You still felt faint, but the warmth was brining back the sounds you could hear. After some time, you opened your eyes, staring at a white ceiling as you felt your body stiffen up while you tried to sit up. Your vision was blurry, slowly becoming clear as you blinked. You looked down, Tomas’ head laid on top of your hand, feeling the fact he was holding it too. He seemed tired. Had he been looking for you? As if he could hear your thoughts, he looked up, eyes red and puffy from crying. He jumped into you, hugging you like his life depended on it.
“You’re okay. Thank the Elder Gods.”
His grip tightened, holding on to you like it would be his last. Tomas pulled back a little, staring into your eyes as he brushed a strand of hair out of your eyes, tucking it behind your ear. For the first time since you’ve met him, you could finally see his smile. You could see him, the real Tomas, who wasn’t hiding anything from you. You put a hand on his cheek, seeing all the worry and hurt in his eyes. He loved you, more than you could ever know.
“I’m okay Tomas. I’m okay.”
“Good. Cause your dumbass had me worried!”
“Eh?! What does that mean?”
“You are such a dumbass for getting caught.”
“And you’re an even bigger dumbass for letting me get caught.”
You booped his nose, something you often did as kids whenever you teased each other. It was an old habit that even now, as a young man, Tomas still loved.
“But seriously… did Shang Tsung do anything to you?”
“No… I didn’t really see him. It was mostly Bi Han that was around.”
Tomas frowned, moving to sit next to you as he helped you lean against the wall on your medical bed. His silver hair was a mess, having been fluffed up by smothering you. Your hand reached up, trailing along the side of his face, admiring the small scars on his face while you fixed his hair.
“There. Now you look cute.”
“Hm I think I’m always cute… according to you at least.”
“Oh you are so getting when I’m better.”
You leaned against him, head leaning against his shoulder. Your hand drifted, grabbing his hand in yours.
“I promise to never do anything like that again.”
He turned his head, staring at you with his silver-blue eyes, a smile on his face.
“And I promise that while I’m around, nothing is going to happen to you my love.”
A/N: I feel like I did TERRIBLE on this but I’m glad I could do your request☺️ I like writing for everyone!
The Story of Minglan
Are these two lowlifes serious?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know that China and Chinese dramas are big on filial piety, but come on now. There has to be a point where even Confucianism says it's OK to boot out toxic relatives on their asses when they literally come for your life and livelihood.
***
That's right, Minglan, get up and walk away from this bullshit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is no need to even give them the time of day.
***
Fuck off.
Tumblr media
Also, if your rapist, human-trafficking shitbag sons get beheaded? It will be no great loss for humanity.
Unfortunately, Gu Tingye will eventually save them, or if he absolutely refuses, the Emperor will do it himself because he will not be able to stand having his favourite subject's name sullied. Endless hate.
***
LMAO, your wife is pissed off.
Tumblr media
Get your shitty relatives under control.
***
Wait. Are Xiaotao and Shitou a thing?
Tumblr media
Is that something that a thing that happened and I slept on it?
***
Again, I have to reiterate how lucky Minglan is to have married Gu Tingye, who is a man with a brain and a spine, and above all, is madly in love with her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He will always shield her and stand up for her, which is what the losers Qi Heng, He Hongwen and Liang Han would never have done.
Also, fuck Qi Heng yet again. This is all his shitty doing. He has done so much damage to her reputation! She is married and his garbage is still following her. She's just lucky that she is now out of his reach and he and his shitty wife can no longer touch her.
***
LMAO, I love them 🤣🤣
Tumblr media Tumblr media
***
Don't you just love it when people who deserve no respect crow about not getting the respect they think they're due 🙄
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bitch, you just tried to blackmail her and then dragged up her past to have him divorce her. Fuck you.
***
My guy, your cousins are rapists and traffickers preying on the powerless.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If the Emperor was to execute them this instant and you didn't lift a finger to help them? You would still be right. Scumbags deserve to die. There are at least two rapes that they committed and blamed you for that we have been made aware of since this show started, in addition to other obscenities.
Let them die. Let them all die and start the family over from scratch with Minglan.
***
Fuck you.
Tumblr media
You did not hesitate one second to throw Minglan to the wolves. You must have known her shitty in-laws would do nothing good with the information you gave them, and yet you still went there and told them anyway. You and Qi Heng deserve each other. Go forth and have a miserable existence together!
***
Snatch him back? LMAO, you never had him to begin with!
Tumblr media
Also, let me just LMAO here over the fact that there are apparently multiple women out there fighting over Qi Heng's loser ass.
***
Lady, quit while you're ahead.
Tumblr media
Your time is over.
***
Jesus Christ, his back 😵
Tumblr media
And he still grieves for his pos father. It's only a pity they did not let him see him on his deathbed so that he could spit on him before he shuffles off to the underworld.
***
At least you still remember that he saved your worthless hide.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Go fuck yourself and maybe reconnect to reality while you're at it.
***
Oh, ffs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I thought Tingwei was going to be a good guy because he did not take part in setting Tingye up, but it seems like he is also a weak-minded imbecile and a rapist. Any man having sex with slaves and trafficked women is a rapist, no ifs or buts about it. Fuck him. He can get beheaded right along with his shitty cousins.
This entire family is just pure crap from top to bottom. The only one resembling a decent human is Gu Tingye and even that is only because he took after his mother and was raised by his mother's people.
***
Aww, poor baby, he was instigated into taking two concubines 🙄
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's not like he could, you know, just not stick his stinky dick into every woman he can.
The prince and the assassin-1
(this is inspired by the 'the first initiate' fanfiction by @laismoura-art the founder of subscorprumi who's a good author and artist on Tumbler)
It was a beautiful winter morning in the shirai ryu plus there being a day off in the clan from training for the weekend made it better.
But the most special part is cuddling with your loved one on the bed feeling the warmth and comfort that makes you feel safe in their arms as that is what hanzo hisashi felt.
Hanzo shirai hasashi was cuddling with his husband kuai Liang shirai hasashi and his wife harumi shirai hasashi on their shared bed asleep, their naked bodies were covered with a blanket, their arms around each other cuddling in the cold morning.
Hanzo woke up his brown eyes looking at his husband and turned around to see his wife he smiled at them both. 'how did I get so lucky' hanzo thought. He got out of bed and carefully slipped out of their arms "time to go for patrol even if it's my day off" Hanzo mumbled to himself as he decided to get himself ready.
He wore his black lin kuei uniform with his short black hair neatly combed and his katana strapped behind his back he went to the town market with a list of groceries in his hand.
He walked around with a neutral smile on his face and looked around "looks like no lin kuei are here" hanzo mumbled to himself as he was patrolling around the market "are they on a day off too?" Hanzo asked himself.
After getting most of the items in the town market hanzo decided to take a short cut from an alleyway he ran into the alley way with groceries in his hand and accidentally bumped into someone Hanzo fell on the ground and looked up to see lin kuei soldiers staring down at him "oh fuck" hanzo mumbled 'harumi and kuai are going to kill me if I die' hanzo thought.
Meanwhile back at the shirai ryu compound kuai Liang was outside waiting for hanzo so they could eat something together with their wife "where is he?" Kuai mumbled harumi came outside with a tray full of food "he's not here?" Harumi asked worried "i don't know where Hanzo is he's usually not late for breakfast" kuai said worried "don't worry kuai he's going to come back safe he's our husband after all besides what danger is going to stop him" harumi said.
'well this is great' hanzo thought he was slammed against a wall by the lin kuei warrior "sorry dude but i am not single i have a husband and wife waiting for me and if I don't come home injured they'll kill you" hanzo said to the lin kuei soldier "shut up kid!" Another lin kuei soldier said "how about you shut up Greg!! Wearing those light up shoes during an assassin attempt are you a kid or something!? No wonder you never got a raise and your wife left your broke ass" Hanzo said Greg then went away crying.
The lin kuei Ninja slammed hanzo hard against the wall "you made Greg cry you are going to pay" the lin kuei Ninja said to hanzo.
"leave the kid alone!" A shout came from out of the alleyway they looked to see a girl but she was wearing a cloak so her features couldn't be seen well "and who are you to tell us what to do!" Another lin kuei Ninja said to the unknown person "let's just say your going to regret it" the unknown girl said with her hand on her hip "get her!!" The Lin kuei Ninja said.
Four of the lin kuei Ninja rushed towards the unknown girl to attack her but the girl took out six daggers and threw it at their chests the daggers ripped through their chests causing their blood to spill out as the soldiers were dead on the floor.
Two of those soldiers ran to the unknown girl in an attempt to attack her "attacking someone head on without a plan?" The girl asked dumbfounded "you know what.." the unknown girl said she took out two small paper balls in her hands and dashed towards the two soldiers before the soldiers tried to take down the girl she front flipped ahead throwing the paper balls on their heads.
She landed ahead of them as the balls exploded causing their bodies to burn "nice but was the explosion necessary?" Hanzo asked the girl "in order for them not to be alive then yes" the girl said "damn" hanzo said "now let's handle the big guy" the unknown girl said.
Suddenly one soldier came from behind the girl but she threw a kunai at the soldiers head before they could reach her causing the soldier to die "no!! You are going to pay!!" The lin kuei soldier shouted.
The lin kuei soldier dropped hanzo and angrily ran to the unknown girl as ice started to appear out of their hands "ice huh" the girl said the lin kuei soldier created a weak ice blast but the girl disappeared into red flames.
The lin kuei soldier looked around trying to find the girl only for them to be kicked from behind the lin kuei soldier fell down as the girl was standing on top of him "well that was easy" Hatsune said as she took out a kunai and it lit up on black flames and she stabbed it on the the lin kuei soldier head causing their body then disintegrated.
The girl sighed "well that turned out well" the girl mumbled "thanks" the girl looked at Hanzo who had stood up "even tho i could have taken care of this on my own but thanks" hanzo said to the girl "anytime that's what friends do right?" The girl asked hanzo causing him to be confused "can't believe it has been two years short stack" the girl said removing her hood away completely revealing herself in front of him.
The girl had dark brown hair in pigtails in the front and let down at the back with pale skin and demonic red eyes she wore red and white robes with black boots.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hanzo was shocked looking at the woman infront of him "Hatsune" hanzo breathed out "nice to see you again my lord" Hatsune said with a smirk "what are you doing here?" Hanzo asked a bit scared "nothing just wanted to catch up with an old friend" Hatsune said putting her sword back.
"Hatsune it's really great to see you-" "oh cut the bullshit Hanzo" Hatsune said looking at Hanzo with anger on her face "your still mad at me" Hanzo said to Hatsune "of course I am still mad you left me in that hellish home to suffer!!" Hatsune said to hanzo "i am sorry Hatsune but i couldn't take you with me if I did netherrealm would have caused a war with earth realm after realised their prince and assassin are missing!!" Hanzo said to Hatsune"I understand but you could have atleast wrote me a letter" Hatsune said looking away from him.
"awe come on red panda you still mad?" Hanzo asked Hatsune who ignored him "come on don't ignore me" Hanzo said to Hatsune but she still didn't look at him "look i am sorry I left you alone alright? So please forgive me I'll do anything!!" Wait Hanzo-" "see it's not that bad" hanzo said taking the sunflower only for a net to appear from beneath causing hanzo to get trapped.
As thung couldn't get worse the alarm rang "i told you so!!" Hatsune shouted at the trapped hanzo the alarm stopped ringing suddenly causing Hatsune to be confused "why did it stop?" Hatsune asked herself.
Hatsune turned around to see thorn rose arrows shot swiftly towards her Hatsune then created a dark red aura around her hands as the flower arrows life got sucked out in the thin air the red aura disappeared from her hands Hanzo was shocked "how did you do that?" Hanzo asked Hatsune from the trap "can't tell you " Hatsune said to hanzo "damn" hanzo said.
"hanzo!? Are you okay!?" Harumi rushed to the backyard hearing her husband's voice only to see hanzo getting out of the trap as an unknown girl in front of him helped him out "god short stack you should really concentration on your surroundings" Hatsune said to hanzo "sorry Hatsune-" "Hanzo" Hanzo looked at harumi "oh harumi!! Hatsune this is my wife Harumi, harumi this is my friend Hatsune" hanzo said to harumi "it's nice to meet you" Hatsune said to harumi bowing in respect then stood up.
