I realize Pride Month is over but y'know what, I don't care. I made these and I think they're nifty so I'm showing them off.

Chainmail Pride Keychains! In all the flags I can figure out designs and have colors for! The weave used is Persian 6-in-1, because A: I like it, and B: it has just the right amount of flexibility to make a great fidget!

Rainbow, Nonbinary, Bi [I promise the pink and the purple look more different in person!] and Agender!

Aro, Genderfluid, Lesbian [as best I could do, again I promise the yellow and the orange look more different in person!], and Pan!

Trans, Disability [bc it's still pride fight me >w>] and Demi!

Ace and [my personal fav] the MLM flag [which don't have rings yet bc I ran out XD]

I love queer as a descriptor for myself because it really encapsulates everything. I’m queer in the way I relate to gender, I’m queer in the way I relate to and navigate sexual attraction/sex, I’m queer in how I experience romantic attraction and love. Nothing about me really fits what we are often told people are supposed to be. And isn’t that just so queer?

weirdly enough, the things that made me most grounded in the lesbian community weren't the amazing love or acceptance and friendships that I adore, but the awkward, hurtful parts of this whole experience. getting rejected. finding another lesbian annoying or frustrating to deal with. getting into fights. getting my heart stomped on by people who didn't care whether i lived or died. kissing a friend and instantly regretting it because you're way more better off as friends. having bad sex. doing an awful job giving head. complaining to my friends. ranting to my friends and having them relate. holding hands in public despite the fear of getting hatecrimed. getting kissed in public, in the dark with people watching and being terrified. getting my heart broken and rotting on the floor. not knowing what to do with my hands or my body or my fat mouth. it reminded me that at the end of the day lesbians aren't these faraway mystical creatures. they're real people with real experiences and lives, and everyone else is trying so hard to figure everything out.
