We got our peach tree "Faye" because it reminded me of growing up on our peach orchard. 8 weeks before my father passed he came to stay with us & told my husband to prune our peach tree Faye back quite a bit...we cut it pretty short and now "Faye" is stronger than she has ever been! A visit at Tate Modern | Photographes may fool you. But believe me there is nothing quite casual about this walk on the millenium bridge yesterday. Every step is a small victory for David, and for me. A win over a declining sense of balance, the stigma of dementia, and the associated erosion of self belief. Each step represents a leap of faith into the unknown, only holding on the trust David has in me and the journey still to unfold. Be it the next, minute, hour, day ... Going to the museum is therefore far from just a visit to learn about the work of a acclaimed artist or another. It is both a struggle and a delight.
