I was thinking. I was thinking what it would be like if you confessed to Levi. Because like...my bro will literally PANIC. I mean sure. He's a pretty man. Girl's are always clinging onto him. Love confessions are a daily thing. Random sappy letters or gifts left on his desk from people he doesn't even know. But then it's you. Nuh uh. Nope. Because you're so perfect to him right? You're pretty and smart and confident and you're so fun to be around but he's so fucking grumpy. Why on earth would you like him? He's just glad he exists in the same world you do, damn he's fucking grateful. And you're even friends with him, you spend so much time with him what else would he want from you right? He wants many many many things from you but he will not think about that.

Imagine you liking him. No? What? But then you're in his office and you're telling him you have something important to tell him but then you start saying things that he literally cannot comprehend why would you like him what do you mean you like him you're insane you're confused what the hell are you talking about? Levi would straight up go “No, you don’t.” with the deadest expression when you finally tell him you like him. He panics okay. DEADASS. There’s no other way to say it. He’s like all cool and calm and composed and he’s staring at you with blank gray eyes and inside he’s like wtfwtwfwtfdoirunawayiwannarunawaywhatdoidoineedfoureyestodealwiththiswtf Avoids you for the rest of the day…or life. You will have to go to the most insane extent to get him to speak to you again (With a little bullying from Hange) and talk about it. Because he’ll refuse to talk about it and pretend it never happened. When you do confront him to talk about it and like clear things though, he’s like…’’Okay’’. Absolute dumbfuck. (He will never never never ever directly admit his feelings for you, BUT you'll know it's a yes because he will slowly, carefully, cautiously slid his fingers between yours and squeeze your hand. Just. ever. so. slightly.)

Some thoughts on Levi WHB

Notes: my brain farted and just thought of these randomly. Also it’s my first time making a post like this🎉.

Warnings: a little suggestive but no smut.

- [ ] Have you ever been told as a kid that “they’re just mean to you bc they like you”. Yeah that’s him a nutshell classic tsundere moment 🤦🏽‍♀️

- [ ] Acts like he doesn’t like you and will insult you bc in reality a part of him dies if you’re not paying attention to him

- [ ] “ why are they asking another demon for help and not me?” “They aren’t paying attention to me how can I get them to focus on me ? Ahhh yes *insert insult here* “

- [ ] Cannot stand the fact if you’re upset about something that has nothing to do with him. All of those emotions should be caused by him

- [ ] He likes it rough but doesn’t like to initiate. Must be the reason for all that pent up animosity. The same way Lucifer will do anything for some tears Levi will say/do whatever so that you’ll slap him. He can’t help that it gets him hard 🤷🏽‍♀️. You would think he’s the embodiment of wrath but no it’s probably trauma related.

- [ ] Focusing back on MC he cares for them I wanna say the exact amount as the others do. The way he shows that is by nagging you incessantly.

- [ ] “Look both ways before you cross the street idiot” but then holds your hand as you both cross the street

- [ ] Will grab your jaw and tell you to stop grinding your teeth which is a habit you picked up from Satan making him seethe all over

- [ ] Is very weak to soft touches. I think Levi is so touchstarved and traumatized hes comfortable with touches. But if you just caress his face or run your fingers through his hair he’ll short circuit

- [ ] Wants to hate it bc new and uncomfortable but on the other hand it’s soft and he feels warm and then he hates it bc youre ruining the untouchable perfect image he worked so hard for 😭

- [ ] Eventually he’ll melt with your subtle touches but only in his office/bedroom away from others bc only he can receive this from you and only you can see him like this

- levi likes the rain, it brings him peace. he hates standing it it though, he'd rather watch it fall from inside.

- levi kinda has a sweet tooth, he didn't have many treats as a kid so when he finally got access to sweet foods he fell in love with them.

- levi prefers cats over dogs.

- when levi was younger and got into fights he usually went days or weeks without medical care. which ended up in him having some long lasting problems.

- levi had trouble reading and writing when he was apart of the Survey Corps, underground was terrible and didn't have many opportunities to get an education. so he taught himself but he still struggled.

- levi loves breakfast foods, he's a sucker for eggs.

- levi takes cold showers.

- levi isn't sure how to deal with children under 13. he knows what it's like to be a rebellious teen but with toddlers or pre-teens; it's a bit complicated.

- levi is a terrible sweet talker, he'd rather use his actions to sway someone than his words.

This should all be taken with a grain of salt due to translation inaccuracies, but from what I can gather from the latest Q and A, all it says about Hange is that they are estranged from their family, she has some skill in housework but doesn't like to do it, and is the type to fly off somewhere then come home unexpectedly (akin to Eren apparently?).

Soooo basically all stuff we already learned from the character interview from years ago 🙄😒😮‍💨

Edit: Guess it also states in a character blurb that Hange is kind, beautiful, smart, stylish, and gets v embarrassed when being complimented. We been knew but still 😌

so I've noticed the main thing that draws me to people is how much they make me feel safe.

that's why I'm attracted to characters like Simon, Levi, Gojo, Nanami, Erwin etc.

I come from a place that never felt like home to me. I've always been on edge and anxious my whole life, always in a defensive mode and ready for something horrible to happen.

that's why I built a home, somewhere safe in my mind where I can seek refuge and relax.

these characters help me escape from everything happening around me and unwind in their arms as they hold me through the pain and turmoil.

and they are a source of strength and courage to me, guiding me on the path to better myself, be stronger and more confident even while doing the smallest tasks.

they have helped me through really tough times in my life and helped me take further steps towards being the person I've always wanted to be. and I've come so far thanks to them.

so because of that, they always have a special place in my heart. they make me feel safe. they are my home.

I just found a Reddit comment stating that after a lot of characters in AOT died, they are treated like an afterthought as if they weren’t important or never existed.

And you know what?.. THEY ARE RIGHT!!

(I don’t wanna quote the comment word from word so I’ll just sum it up)

Levi’s old squad are never brought up by either Eren or Levi again after S3.

Miche alongside his squad are never mentioned again and the cast themselves never learned what really happened to the former.

Moblit wasn’t even mentioned once by Hange during their tough times as commander; but at least they have Onyankopon, right?

Bertholdt grew from background character to major threat and then reduced to a forgotten token for Armin to get Annie in the end.

Freckled Ymir? Forget about her, it was all about the founder Ymir from that point on.

Porco and Colt both died at the same time and only briefly mourned then left unsaid at the same time.

The only ones I can think of that are still remembered at least were Marco, mainly by Jean, Reiner and Annie. Sasha, because they wouldn’t stop rubbing it in our faces that she died. And Eren, due to main character bias.

I was ranting to my friends (not anime watchers) about Levi and one of my friends got annoyed and was like, "WHY ARE YOU SO OBSESSED WITH HIM, WHAT DOES HE EVEN HAVE?!" So I was like, "YES BECAUSE WHAT DOES HE NOT HAVE?!"

AND MY OTHER FRIEND JUST CASUALLY PIPES IN LIKE

"A leg. Two fingers. An eye. Height."

"Oh don't forget, youth. Dudes like 40 years old."

"He doesn't have a mom either. Didn't he lose his best friend too? His whole squad :0"

i’m several years late to this, but i finally finished attack on titan.

this show was everything to me when i was 16-18. levihan was my life, as witnessed by this blog. i found comfort in them, during a time in my life when i desperately needed that comfort. so when hange died…i felt like something was lost. the peace and comfort i looked for in levihan was gone, replaced by grief and anger. so i stopped watching it, stopped thinking about it.

but can you ever really stop thinking about something so important to you?

over the last three years, levihan has come back to me many times. in thoughts, in feelings. and every time, there was grief, but there was denial. i refused to truly process that hange was gone. so i refused to finish the show.

but i’m 21 now, and even as i’ve gotten older, levihan is still so important to me. i don’t think i’ve ever felt so strongly about a ship before. so, about a week ago, i made a decision: i was going to finish the show. i needed to see it through, needed to process the grief, and see it for what it was.

now here i am, crying harder than i have in years, because i got the closure i needed. i had convinced myself that levi’s life is a tragedy, that hange dying was the last straw and they should have killed him too because what’s left? and in finishing the show, i was proved so, so wrong.

this screenshot is so hauntingly beautiful. this scene was so hauntingly beautiful. levi seeing his fallen comrades, getting to tell them, “this is what we did with the hearts you gave.” the first time we see levi, he’s telling a soldier, “i won’t let your death be in vain.” and here he is now, several years later. and none of their deaths were in vain. levi took every death he experienced, both impersonal and earth shattering, and he turned that grief into strength, and now he can rest. he can let go. he can cry, can be weak, can let others take care of things.

he lost hange. he lost erwin. he lost kenny, petra, eld, gunther, oluo, farlan, isabel, kuchel.

but he has a life ahead of him. their hearts are in his heart, and as long as his heart beats, they won’t truly be gone.

i am devastated.

but i also think this was the most beautiful ending levi could’ve gotten.

No joke now, Raphael has the best reason to hate Beelzebub. That man tries to eat him whenever they meet! I’d be scared too! But I find it so funny cuz- the other seraphim’s are like

its 1am and i have no life. heres another drdt post. it's about ace and levi now.

levi and ace. levi served as the one person ace considered to be a friend in the killing game, whereas levi could never understand ace no matter how hard he tried and found himself getting frustrated.

these two never got their proper goodbye - the last thing pretty much that levi will remember ace saying to him is how he should kill himself (or something close to that). he's too busy being full of holes like a bloody sponge to hear ace yelling at arturo to save levi. teruko ruined their last goodbye with her arrogance. which is a bold statement but like. girl. it would've taken you literally a few steps out of the way ��� this is NOT your main character moment!!!

ace's execution just served to prove how deep rooted his fear was, to the point where it could be considered pathetic maybe. even knowing it was prolonging the possible death of his friend, ace was still so scared to die, scared enough to risk anyone's life. he did it with arei, and was prepared to get everyone killed to win the class trial, and even while levi was bleeding out, ace still fought for his own life. he was telling monotv to 'get it over with quickly', but he then did the exact opposite. ace couldn't live up to the bravery he had to try and conjure up out of nowhere. the fact that he even tried in the first place, for levi, amazes me, since he's been so mortified by the idea of dying throughout this whole game.

i wonder how levi will be when he wakes up. he risked his own life for someone else despite having no empathy for others. does he really have no empathy for others? he seemed upset about never understanding ace, no matter what, but was that just about his death or about the missed opportunity? i can't say for certain whether levi really viewed ace as just that 'distant stranger' he described people as (because im sleepy), but either way.. no more husbands!!! :)

(scuttles back to my little corner and starts ugly crying)

People may relate to and find comfort in a character for a plethora of reasons that they don't necessarily feel comfortable sharing.

Just because you perceive their fondness for a character as shallow is your own opinion. I've seen so much negativity directed at Levi fans and self shippers recently, which is a real shame when for some of us the tag is a safe little space for us to enjoy our fics and headcanons. I see a lot of content I don't like or agree with related to characters I'm a fan of, but I just leave people well alone to enjoy what they enjoy. I don't know, maybe that comes with age and maturity.

People (commonly anons) may assume self shippers only like a character like Levi as an example because we see him as a sex object. Which is entirely false for so many reasons and not true for many of us. I couldn't tell you how much money and time I've invested into the AOT franchise over the past 14 years. I've also never seen so much love and appreciation for a character as I have within the Levi fanbase and particularly from self shippers.

Just because I (or someone) may write 18+ content doesn't mean that's all they associate with a character. Personally, I just enjoy writing it, and I want to create something for others to enjoy and visualise. It's statistically proven that women, for example, may find reading more stimulating compared to visual p×rnography. I started writing for myself as a creative outlet and was thrilled to see people enjoying it. Even if Levi or any character is just an object for someone to sexualise, who cares? He's fictional.

On a personal note, I had a very lonely and abusive childhood. For the longest time, many fandoms and characters have been a source of comfort and escape for me. I very quickly relate to many characters who have experienced hardship and pain. But I've been fortunate enough to come through the other end and build a life for myself. It just so happens that my writing strengths are of a more mature content. But it doesn't take away from my love and appreciation of complex characters. You can't assume you know everything about a person based on this small segment of their lives on a blog or social media platform. Judging people who self ship, especially some of us more placid ones that people want to attack, belittle and slut shame is just getting a bit stale.

Enjoy your characters and your ships, and heck, keep coming at us with your false assumptions because it isn't going to stop us, and you're only making yourselves look petty, cruel, and immature. You don't know a single thing about why people choose the characters that they do to enjoy.

And to all of the self shippers, keep posting your fantastic content. Your fics, your bots, your artwork. Keep enjoying what makes you happy. There's so many more of us who want to be supportive and create safe spaces and communities than there are negative individuals.

- a lot of people sometimes like to dumb levi's character down to "humanity's strongest soldier who doesn't feel love for others" when his whole character is about him making decisions he thinks is right because of the people he loves, he's lost so much yet he never though to go against anything he stood for.

- he lost erwin, hange, isabel, kenny, his mother, furlan and so many others yet in the end he stays the same old levi.

- obviously he doesn't want people to die but living in a world that he's living in, it's not uncommon. he may not grieve outwardly but it's definitely there.
