Eliot Spencer, “Hitter” of Leverage Consulting and Associates:
Some stuff about him:
Eliot is the team’s highly skilled martial artist, weapons expert, and self-described “retrieval specialist”. A former black ops soldier, his role in cons is often to play supporting roles while protecting the team, often leading him into hand-to-hand combat that draws on his considerable fighting skills. Eliot was once a hitman for crime financier Damien Moreau, and he is well known as a legendary hired gun, assassin and bodyguard before he switched careers and went into business as a thief. Despite being a skilled marksman, Elliot has an intense dislike for firearms, and uses them only when no other options are available to him. While merely presumed as the muscleman, he demonstrates a subtle intelligence in conversation, often taking advantage of the underestimations of others and later in the series performing as a grifter along with Sophie. In contrast to the other characters, Eliot prefers to keep his romantic life private, as well as much of his background, which includes some very dark deeds of which he refuses to speak. Over the course of the series, he displays extraordinary talent for singing and cooking, and later takes charge of the kitchen of the microbrewery in Portland where the team has set up headquarters, despite clashes with Hardison on the subject of food. By the time “Leverage: Redemption” comes around, Eliot has spent his spare time working with veterans and giving them jobs with his food truck chain, Brick & Basil. His food trucks also serve as mobile command centers for the team’s jobs.
How he is like me:
We both have stuff in our past that we regret. We just keep moving forward. Also, he’s found a constructive outlet for certain things like, I imagine, anger. I find things like listening to music calm me down. Though I try to move forward from things I regret by not thinking about them.

Avoid thinking about it at all
You reflect on how you could have handled the situation differently, but also don’t allow yourself to wallow in your mistakes
It it’s important to look back on certain situations in order to prevent ourselves form making the same mistakes again (going into the cycle or spiral of negativity)
          “you feel guilty, you want others to feel guilty so you act out, making yourself feel more guilty, etc”
Elliot develops a hobby in cooking, and seems to enjoy sharing the food he cooks with others.
When we find something “constructive” it means we find something that distracts us, keeps us busy, and makes us useful in some area of life
          Cooking becomes Elliot’s hobby, and eventually he opens a food truck as a job
Going on walks with Smokey is a hobby that distracts you from your main hobby
          Sometimes we can get bored or annoyed with the things that we enjoy and we need to take a break from them so it’s important to find other things that we enjoy as a “distraction hobby”
Elliot’s job history seems to be pretty hands on and “aggressive”, but his personality seems to be calm and laid back
          This is a good example of when our job can be something that we are good at but it’s not the thing that we want to do all the time
Having other preferred activities outside of fanfictions and the internet can help you be more productive with fan fictions.  
Even though fan fictions bring you a sense of purpose that makes you feel good, it’s important to be able to have other areas of interest to take a break. 
This type of break allows you time to return to your fan fictions feeling refreshed that you had a break and can think more clearly about them.

The Leverage/911 crossover that lives in my head has Eliot undercover at the 118.
The team is up in the loft between calls, trading stories and getting to know the new guy. Chimney starts telling this crazy story about an explosion in a high rise that they responded to years ago and it slowly starts to dawn on Eliot that he’s talking about when Hardison blew up Leverage Consulting & Associates.
It dawns on Hardison, too.
He’s been listening in to this whole conversation over the coms and is like, “No, no, no, no.”
“Not cool, Eliot,” he says loud in Eliot’s ear. “It’s too soon. My offices, gone. It’s too soon, man. Tell them it’s-“
“Shut up,” Eliot growls, seemingly to Chimney seeing how no one can hear the hacker in his ear. He grabs his phone, shakes it at them like he’s got a call, and says, “Sorry, I gotta-“
Then walks away, muttering just loud enough that everybody definitely heard, “Damn it, Hardison.”

5: RELATIONSHIPS (who is important to your OC? do they have a partner? do they have a best friend? are they close to their family?)
her partner is our lovely, occasionally prickly but always caring, ginoza! for now, i think she and gino already liked each other for a long time, but (probably) didn't get together until after his demotion. they've always cared a lot about each other, even when dating wasn't an option.
she's really close to her brother. she looked up to kogami a lot when they were younger and she misses hanging out with him now. (she sees him much less frequently!) for a long time, her brother was the most important person to her and because she knew how seriously he took his work, she was willing to abandon her career to help him after his demotion.
she still keeps in touch with her celebrity colleagues! they like to check in on her. rather than a best friend, she has a core group of friends with them.

ooooo, i'm not sure! she loves glamorous things, so maybe a beautiful pair of heels. her favorite color is purple! 💜

she looks like a cool beauty to strangers, but she's actually quite exuberant. she loves laughing! she loves teasing people. she's also pretty level-headed.
buuuut sometimes she acts spoiled and impatient. and more than once, she's had to grit her teeth and flash a fake smile when she's obviously annoyed. idk, i think a lot of traits are both negative and positive. she's sometimes naive, sometimes stubborn.
she cares a lot about people. she hates it when people abuse their power, she hates bullies, and she's not afraid to show those people their place. i'd say she's naturally charming (which she partially owes to her pretty face, for sure), so she's the type to gracefully diss a person and leave them dazed. 🤣 when she's with gino, though, she sticks to him like a koala. she LOVES being extra affectionate with him. she's also a master at using puppy dog eyes (🥺) to get what she wants (e.g. cuddles)

she loved attention and using her imagination, so imagine one-girl plays that she subjected her family to sit through. she also preferred playing calmly indoors (like drawing), but would be dragged out to play by her brother.
9: FUTURE (does your OC have a goal they're working towards? what will your OC look like when they get older? do you have a planned ending for their story?)
this, i haven't fully hashed out yet! i think by the time she steps down as an inspector, she's built enough clout to be invited as an occasional consultant on cases. even though it's been years, she also still has a good public image so she wants to leverage that somehow. i think as long as she's still helping people, she'll be happy.
every now and then, she thinks about acting though, but mostly as a fond memory. those days are long gone.

The relationship between Elon Musk and the European Union deteriorated further on Monday, with the bloc launching a formal investigation into the way X has been run since the billionaire took over last year.
Senior officials from the European Commission said they were concerned about a range of new features that have been added to X under Musk, as well as the way violent content related to the Hamas attack on Israel was allowed to spread without consistently being labeled with a graphic content warning.
EU officials also said they would be investigating whether users on the platform are being misled about the trustworthiness of people who pay for blue checkmarks—a feature that was previously reserved for verified users such as celebrities, public figures, or journalists. Since Musk’s takeover, the platform has allocated blue checks to paying subscribers, a feature that researchers say has been leveraged to spread scams and disinformation.
Another focus for the investigation is whether Community Notes—X’s crowdsourced fact-check program—can work in languages other than English or intervene fast enough during elections.
Other concerns raised by the EU include the way users can notify X when they have seen illegal content and whether the platform is too focused on the English language in its content moderation operations. X has more than 2,000 English-speaking moderators, but only one Dutch-speaking moderator and one Polish moderator, according to a tally the company released last month.
With the investigation, X becomes the first major platform to face a formal probe for violating rules included in the European Union’s new Digital Services Act, which has the power to tell tech companies to change the way they operate or fine them up to 6 percent of their global revenue. “Today’s opening of formal proceedings against X makes it clear that, with the DSA, the time of big online platforms behaving like they are ‘too big to care’ has come to an end,” said Thierry Breton, the EU’s internal markets commissioner. An in-depth investigation will now take place.
“X remains committed to complying with the Digital Services Act,” company spokesperson Joe Benarroch told WIRED, adding that the platform is cooperating with regulators. “It is important that this process remains free of political influence and follows the law.”
The investigation is the beginning of a process where officials will carry out interviews and gather more evidence. “We take any breach of our rules very seriously. And the evidence we currently have is enough to formally open a proceeding against X,” said Margrethe Vestager, executive vice president for digital affairs in Europe.
The announcement follows an initial EU investigation that was opened against X in October, also citing concern that graphic illegal content and disinformation linked to Hamas’ attack on Israel was able to spread widely. Israeli fact-checking groups say they have been worried about content on X since the Hamas attack on October 7. “X significantly contributed and enabled the spread of graphic, offensive, and false information in and about Israel,” says Edan Ring, VP of community affairs at the Israeli Internet Association. “Our experiences … have revealed a concerning lack of urgency and effectiveness in X's response.”
Back in October, Musk clashed publicly with Breton. In a series of posts on X, Musk accused Breton of carrying out backroom dealing, prompting Breton to use his account to promote X competitor BlueSky. “The EU's relationship with X has been rocky ever since Musk took over,” says Mathias Vermeulen, director of Brussels-based data rights consultancy AWO. “Whereas Musk had told Breton back in May 2022 that the DSA is ‘exactly aligned with my thinking,’ it is clear that the EU doesn't exactly agree with that statement anymore.”
There is no deadline for when the EU investigation has to conclude.

The Leverage team goes to Kentucky to help the heartbroken horse trainer who has lost everything. The horse trainer's daughter is initially hostile towards Eliot as the two were together in the past. The team's scheme almost gets derailed by the appearance of Jim Sterling, Nate's former co-worker and long-time nemesis, who attempts to ruin the entire plan.
