Everything was ready, the dress, hair, make-up, the bouquet... then Stephanie brought out a little box "Jay asked to wear it" her heart skipped a beat at the surprise from the groom she had already told Jason she didn't want any surprises or she would cry. The little black velvet box with a pearly bow and a note in Jason's shaky handwriting "I know you asked for no surprises, but I couldn't resist the idea of seeing you walk in with this, little crow" she read the note "He's trying to kill me!" she complained, "You haven't even opened it yet!" Steph said when she saw her with tears in her eyes.

In the box was a small, familiar silver 5-cent coin with a string, the metal shimmering prominently in the box "5 cents?" Steph was the first to speak, but just as she was about to continue Cassandra, Jason's sister, nudged her when she noticed the young woman's expression.

That night her words replayed in Jason's mind, two days before his wedding to the woman of his life, his best friend, the familiar weight of the coin in his hand. He wanted to give this symbol of their love back to her, but how?

“Why do you want that coin so badly? It's only five cents, Jason!" Dick complained again about the coin, but continued to help his brother find the coin that had fallen out of his jacket pocket "I told you, it's important! Now move your ass!" Jason said, irritated and growing impatient with the coin's disappearance. "I can't believe you're making me look for a coin at 3 in the morning, Todd!" "You know normal people have wedding rings, not coins" Tim teased "It's not a wedding ring, asshole" Jason retorted, and the three vigilantes continued to search for the coin for another hour in the Bat-cave that night after the patrol.

Since that day Jason preferred to keep the coin in a safe place near his bed where there would be no risk of losing it, that coin never left its safe place near Jason, the material proof of sentimental value.

Jason was polishing the coin to give it a shine, his mind wandering back to the day he received that simple "raven treasure".

"You saved me there, thank you so much" she looked beautiful and wet from the rain, her smile small but her eyes sparkling with joy, the same sparkle she had when she poured out her knowledge of animals or her love of wolves and crows, animals that fascinated her and she fascinated him, Jason kept every detail in his memory "you're welcome, little crow".

When she handed him that 5-cent coin, the meaning was clear between them, there was no doubt that the feeling was not reciprocated. The light weight of the coin's metal was comfortable with the weight and emotional value it carried - it would never be just five cents. The love he felt for his best friend was multiplied and it wasn't long before he asked her out on a date, a truly romantic date where there were no loopholes for being mistaken for "just friends". The small token gave Jason the freedom to take the lead and demonstrate that he wanted something serious with her, the love of his life.

They had been dating for two years and Jason wasted no time in proposing to her straight away, he was sure of what he wanted, that he wanted her as his wife.

Jason drilled a hole in the coin and attached a chain to make it a pendant so that there would be no risk of it getting lost and he could wear it whenever he wanted. He wanted to give it as a wedding present, but the idea of seeing her in white on such an important day and wearing something he'd made especially for her was too good to pass up. He asked his sister Cassandra and Stephanie to deliver it to her before the ceremony.

It was better than any dream or imagination to see her dressed as a bride, she looked so beautiful her smile was the most beautiful he had ever seen, he thought he would be ready for this moment he longed to make her his wife, living next to her was the greatest achievement.

The wolf and the raven who had once been friends would now be one, a new story would begin and a new cycle was to come. To show that material value is nothing compared to sentimental value, a gesture that changed a story. Have you ever given someone 5 cents today?

FUN FACT: Letora is half Brazilian and her full name is Sara Letora Oliveira Utagawa.

i am admittedly super oblivious to va liv and i did think twice about including them on the wheel considering their vtuber situation because atp i am not quite sure what namco is going to do with their situation in 876 and if they will become 'characters' and if their vtuber activities were in universe or like real, there is kind of a blurry line. idk but i think their designs are cool so here they are. her hair is quite inaccurate lol but i like her design
