It's usually seen in the "let's bomb them into surrendering" solutions, but it works here too. Like. This shit did not work on Germans during WW2. It did not work on the Vietnamese during the Vietnam War. Why the fuck would it work now?! All it does is play right into the hands of fucking Hamas, because the more brutal Israel is, the more desperate Palestinians will be to get rid of its rule, by any means necessary! That's warfare morale 101! Like, make no mistake, when I ranted earlier about pro-Palestine people cheering on war crimes, the bulk of my ire was directed at people abroad who have no skin in the game and for whom the whole thing is nothing but a moral stance to take. For Palestianians... I wouldn't AGREE with them supporting Hamas, but I would maybe kinda get it? At minimum, I wouldn't dare judge anyone actually involved in the situation for that. I mean, I am not stuck in a city that is constantly bombarded, with no water or food. I don't know what I'd do or think in that situation.

I also am lol and I do not think I would ever be able to make it a fanfic so glad for the opportunity to daydream in public - I anyhow was going to make a post to address all you guys' reply lol. So lets make a little list of thoughts

A lot of my canon divergence fantasies for Theon are victory fantasies, as point-missing as that is, fantasies where he's succesful and loved lol. So the majority of the ironborn including Harlaws and Greyjoys are positively surprised and delighted with this incredibly wild success story. I feel like they would be, it is objectively politically expedient and militarly impressive. Particularly the Harlaws even would be glad as it puts them in a position to negotiate a land concession from the North rather than whatever Balon's plan was... but overall it's just A Win For Theon, politically. May or may not start to feel a little hollow when the morality of what he did catches up to him

Some drawbacks: he may be under lots of pressure to kill one of them given he has two, which he would definitely need to spin this giving-one-to-Alannys-as-spoils-of-war carefully to avoid. Can he? Canon Theon is not this master manipulator lol but they are his hostages. There may be more physical fighting in the battle planning room lol but he's keeping them. Another is that this really seals his claim I feel - it may not be enough for Balon to officially claim him as heir but he would imho win the kingsmoot and he would be at strong risk of being killed by Euron.

This means Asha is just... physically emitting steam all through this. Is she able to swallow her pride and offer him an alliance the way she does with Victarion? Good question. It's more humiliating and personal. He comes and he wins what she's been working on all these years and he dazzles mom when she's been the one bearing that grief and emotional difficulty all these years... this girl is SNAPPING. Interestingly, something Theon probably is not quite able to grasp is that the Harlaws are Asha's supporters and so in this universe he gave her an advantage through giving them a hostage. Could be a fun fic by people who can plot.

An interlude to say I genuinely didnt vote anything in that poll bc I genuinely have no preference/opinion. The nature of Bran's disability is such I don't know which of the two Theon would think is the strongest political threat to keep closer, and the nature of Pyke is that idk whether Theon would think Harlaw or Pyke is the safer place. I also can be convinced by both arguments on which is the most interesting - I liked alley and wexpyke's arguments for Rickon, that he's more mouldable (the idea of Alannys starting to call him Rodrik :///) and unlikely to reveal unpleasant truths (lmao alley I am not picturing Bran telling Alannys about Theon's warcrimes and banging Kyra in Ned's bed. Though probably the worst thing he could reveal in Theon's eyes is how genuinely he was friends with Robb). On the other hand I am sensitive to your argument of Bran being specifically Cat's favorite (and Cat is still alive and might well live, too) and I had considered already the fact he's almost 10 too. Plus cola-fiend gave me the image of him being cooped up in Rodrik's library potentially finding out about important prophecy stuff and ahhhh love it. Though I would also love for him to potentially interact with Euron. I also loved the idea of the hostage being Beth after the noose thing - maybe a version where instead of all this plot happening, he decides to go home when Asha tells him lol. But it's a darker different idea

Now, Alannys's Opinion. Eeeeh good question. It is something I struggle a bit to imagine. I mean how mentally present is she, how much she's able to find out about how Theon's hostage situation went before he leaves for some other war crimes... But overall I imagine for her too it grows hollow. For one thing she would start missing Theon and feeling bitter about this replacement and taking it out on the boy in question I think - it is unavoidable that he can only really stay with her a little while. I think she would be hungry for stories about Theon's years that she missed but get upset about them and not believe them often. I think with Rickon she may genuinely throw herself into raising him whenever she has the lucidity for it and liking how fierce he is and forget she's not actually her little pet project she can send to raid on the Stony Shore in 10 years. Overall the fact these kids are probably getting traded back soon-ish would be hard for her to deal both in term of attachment and of revenge. I think with Bran there's a degree to which she would enjoy to make him her little page boy and have him read to her and like hold her yarn or whatever it is she's able to do to spend her time but find she doesn't really feel satisfaction in it, Theon is weird and cagey about this feelings about having been subservient to the Starks so she doesn't really now how much of this is payback and Bran is sweet and mellow and serious and does not give satisfaction at all. I can see her too both having episodes of calling them Rodrik or Maron or mistaking them for her previous wards and (esp with Bran) or thinking she had a child post-rebellion and somehow forgot. Just very weird for everyone

Satire only works if people are in on the joke. If people didn’t know that Israel were predisposed to indiscriminate bombings of civilians back in 2014 when the article was written then it wouldn’t be funny and the joke would fall flat. It would help raise awareness of the problem and maybe encourage people to ask about the history of the situation.

It’s included in this post to silence anyone claiming this started on October 7th 2023. The world should have acted back in 2014 when this last escalated. But no one cared, no one cares about Muslims and everyone writes them off as terrorists after 9/11, defaulting to being in the wrong. The thing that has changed is the war in Ukraine and smart phones because now we get live views of atrocities and it makes it harder to hide crimes.

I’ve spent the last 18 months laughing at the Russian propaganda they have put out to justify their invasion and genocide of Ukraine and now I’m seeing Israel put out those same lies, the same accusations and the same justifications for the systematic destruction of a people. And I know Israel are lying because unlike Ukraine who brought in international investigators to document Russian war crimes, the Israelis refuse any outside intervention. Any suggestion of outside intervention is met with accusations of antisemitism. These are not the actions of people obeying the Geneva Conventions, these are the actions of war criminals covering their tracks and they’re hiding behind their religion too, putting innocent people at risk.

The longer the west let’s Israel get away with warcrimes unchallenged, the more people will be radicalised and recruited by terrorist organisations. Those terrorists are going to attack the countries who support Israel endangering more innocent people. Also, the biggest argument people have for supporting countries like Russia, China and North Korea is that they are standing up to the west who commit war crimes without repercussions or investigations, not investigating Israel and holding them accountable legitimises support for those expansionist countries.

Sorry, I’ve gone off into a rant but I want to get this out because it’s the most I can do to try and help fix this mess.

I finished Steven Universe and movie (but not the SU future yet which I feel is much needed to wrap up emotional loose ends). okay here’s where i say some stuff about how it felt and people get very angry right?

The queer readings are obvious: subtext, text, let’s sing whole songs about it. Not just gender and sex but ways of life, ways of belief and body positivity.

I can see some interesting takes on caste systems* and assigned social roles. Gem on Gem eugenics, Gem on Gem biological weapons/warcrimes.

*this would be coming from my own knowledge of the invisible systemic caste system of the UK: wealth, occupation, family history, business ties, alumni ties. World history and friends from caste/status by birth countries.

TL;DR for the next part: The diamonds and gem worlds are too flat to read them as commentary on anything substantial. Diamond discourse would have to make a bunch of suppositions by placing complex human history on a sketchy outline.

The space hitler/space british empire take? Not supported by the flimsy amount of exposition given. I have watched and read so much sci fi: 30 years of cramming whatever stories in whatever format into this thirsty brain... and hot take coming up: this cartoon is fantasy. The gems are wizards/magic creatures not metaphors for the english. Using the world colony and empire isn’t enough.  TO BE CLEAR: I consume regular criticism of empire: the real life ones... and a whole bunch of metaphorical ones. Avatar the last airbender has a decent surface critique of recent colonisation. Watership Down has some interesting points if we’re sticking to cartoons. (Please let’s not stick to cartoons)

I got the impression that earth was an anomaly for a colony in having sapient lifeforms and the Gems simply weren’t prepared for the possibility of other sentient life (the probability of life being out there is high, the probability of it being intelligent and remotely on our level is not great). They were also biased to think we were just animals given our state of tech upon discovery and comparatively short lifespan. If it was stated that they’ve destroyed other sentient beings’ planets it didn’t register in my dazed watchthrough of a lot of gem history condensed into about a total of 30 minutes combined exposition.

I’m unable to map the history of my country’s colonising (which started with our own brothers) on this cartoon story where 6000 years is a few days to these Gem aliens. I’m afraid the diamonds seemed too alien, 2 dimensional and unrelatable to project human motives onto them. The three diamonds read more like management AI that got a few feelings than sentient beings. Maybe it’s different when you’re not binge watching and have time to dissect the details?

I also felt like the diamonds ‘as family’ felt too cartoony to be commentary on family dynamics: not when there are multiple family-like units explored in depth elsewhere.

Are the pearls slaves? if they are, it’s written with lower than house elf levels of nuance.

My main take is that this show is about queerness and it’s good at that. It made an effort at racial/ethnic inclusion and a basic understanding of gem castes. Extrapolating to a human level beyond the basic “everyone deserves a chance to choose their own life”, well this is the wrong story for that. The worldbuilding is a framework to examine gender, love and personality. If you want to analyse power dynamics on the galactic level, uh... even the muslim ripoff shroom-trip that is Dune does it better.

i am a huge sucker for angry, twisted, mutually angry relationships, and this has everything that i want: they're forced to work together towards a mutual goal for the man they both love while he sleeps, and they're angry, and jealous, and both awful people in their own rights. i love it

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

i like seeing the multitude of ways that people fill the 9 years that bb was asleep with the two of them, and how they explore how they worked with each other and maybe started relying on each other more than they wanted to. but most importantly, i love the deceit and the knowledge that ocelot was still lying to him the entire time with the full intention of just dropping him like a rock for bb once he needs to, like ocelot always does.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

i've read a few fic where ocelot really does switch allegiances and falls truly in love with kaz, and betrays bb for kaz and v. i can't jive with that. i'm far too dedicated to ocelot's single-minded obsession with bb to let him ever fully change his allegiances. only work up some lovely lovely regret and conflicted feelings.

what made me ship it is just all of their AMAZING interactions in peace walker. the relationship between the two of them just progressed in such a weird, but also weirdly natural way, and i can absolutely believe in their comradarie and affection

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

i love how these two get along together like an oil fire. they drive each other to new heights, and new ideas, but also enable each others' worst tendencies. in the peace walker tapes, you can really see how well they feed into each others' self-involved echo chambers, and convince each other that the things that they're doing are not only good, but GREAT ideas. i wholly believe that bb would not have become who he was without kaz egging him on, both feeding his grandiose view of himself and his world-view. plus of course i adore how it all falls apart in the end and the end their lives as bitter enemies. perfection

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

i always really really hate when people flatten kaz down to some sort of... battered housewife and bb into a manipulative, abusive husband. because bb was physically stronger and so came out on top of their fights, that must mean that kaz must be reduced to a quavering waif who doesn't understand that he's actually being abused and that's just... missing the mark on their relationship in so many different ways and i fucking hate it.

SNAKEMERYL -

1. Why don’t you ship it?

I like thinking that they briefly got together after Shadow Moses, but obviously they didn't canonically work out. I'm going to say I don't ship it, just because I like working within those confines. i like thinking that they stayed together for a few months, but due to just... their mutual bad coping and disinterest in talking about their problems, Snake didn't have enough support to not fall back into his drinking and closing himself off, and Meryl got frustrated both with Snake not meeting any of her standards in a 'never meet your heroes' sort of way, and way too cooped up and lonely because she wasn't ready to wallow and write off her whole life.

2. What would have made you like it

i kind of like it just the way it is, honestly? like, i really like that they didn't work out, and that the spark that they had during Shadow Moses was based more on danger and adrenaline than actual compatibility. If anything i think i would have liked to just see a little bit more of what their time together in Alaska post MGS1 was like before Meryl left

3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

i really like all of the interactions between the two of them, both in mgs1 and mgs4. also i just adore Meryl in general. she's perfect.

1. Why don’t you ship it?

this is a really hard one. like... I DO ship it, but... I'm going to say no, just because i only like it under VERY specific circumstances and i very rarely see it done in a way that i like. i'm incredibly picky when it comes to vkaz

2. What would have made you like it

it's one of those ships that i theoretically go ham for, and when it IS done right it hurts in the best possible way. i think... i can never get into it when it gets TOO tender, and they actually fall for each other, or become...healthy, in any way? Like, v and kaz don't communicate. basically at all. throughout all of mgsv, we only see kaz fluctuate wildly between codependently thinking that v is the only person he can trust, the one who can fix everything, the reason he's been putting himself through so much hell for the last decade... and then being vicious and vindictive when v doesn't meet the standards that he's worked up in his mind over that long period. and v, lacking any and all of the charisma that bb had, completely fails to meet kaz at any point. his reactions tend to be anywhere between confused, hurt, or upset but patient, but never... connecting. they have none of the spark, romantic or destructive, that bbkaz had. they are two husks of people who used to exist, but don't any longer (in v's case much more literally so), clinging to each other because of a sunken cost fallacy and because they're all that the other has. but there's no point in mgsv where they actually seem to connect in nearly the same capacity as just bb and kaz ranting excitedly about international politics and their plans for the future. it's tragic, it's empty, and when people explore it like that, i love it. basically... for having chosen to say i don't ship it, i sure do have a LOT to say about it

3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

i've seen a few fanworks that depict them in the absolute perfect way, and when it threads that needle, it becomes one of my favorite things. it's potentially the most poetic and painful pairing in the series and the people who can make it work KILL IT.

1. What made you ship it?

as opposed to all of the others, which i enjoy for their unhealthiness and tragedy, snake and otacon are perfect for each other and do an amazing job at learning and growing and healing together and it's absolutely one of my favorite pairings ever. the both of them had hard lives, and had made bad choices, and were having a lot of trouble connecting to other human beings in different ways. But they do such a good job of like... not perfectly, not without difficulties, but very realistically helping each other to become better and happier people

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

watching their relationship develop between mgs1, mgs2, and mgs4 is so good. watching them become more comfortable as partners, and then become the person that the other understands more than anyone else, is just so heartwarming to watch.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

the next person who depicts otacon as a perpetually sobbing but also tender and understanding uwu softboi who needs big strong david to hug him and solve every problem for him gets both a kick in the teeth and a full transcript of every time that otacon has been kind of a sarcastic or passive agressive dick

I know a Crunk ton of Lore, and I have some pretty strong opinions about in game events, and Lore Characters. if you are an Alliance player, this rant, is not for you. if you are a Horde Member, who likes Thrall, and the current state of Alliance Boot licking, this Rant is not for you. save yourself the pain, read something that will give you happy thoughts! go Read Ms. Roux’s new book, she is a wonderful writer. I support there being Writers who are good at what they do. if you want something a little more informed Lore wise, by all means go pick up a Kristy Golden book, I recommend Arthas or Warcrimes! both Excellent reads! Lore lovely, and thick with understanding of the world. Horde and alliance friendly! 

Now, for those of you who are My Loyalist Brothers and Sisters! Please, join me! let me know what you think about My thoughts! do you feel the same? if not, then why? what am I missing? what do you think the ending should look like? I am just fed up, with being told I do not exist.  I am fed up with the Alliance! I am fed up with the Horde leaders who should not be in power to begin with. I am sick to death of people who do not know the Lore having their say about what happens. 

I am sick to death of the Hypocrisy of the Alliance, of their Self Righteous Arrogant demented thoughts on what is right and wrong, and their trying to impose it on other races and cultures! I am tired of their Xenophobic bigotry, and their ham handed claim to being the “Good guys” which is utter nonsense. 

I am sick to death of Thrall, who abandoned the Horde, leading the Horde, and being put in power, or putting in power, the leaders of the Faction he abandond to Garrosh. I am sick of Alliance Members being put in charge of the Horde Quests, like Valeera Sanguinar, or Baine Bloodhoof, or Thrall. Because, let’s face it, these people are Alliance Members. 

I am sick of Leaders who have done eff all to help their people or heal the wounds their people have suffered under Alliance hands. Like Lortharmar, and Talanji, and Gaeyra! 

I am sick to death of Calia Menethil who may as well be Alliance, and Lillian Voss who was never a Forsaken to begin with. Both of whom Refused any responsibility for their people, and Fellow undead, until it suited them to do so. Calia was capable of treating with the Alliance on her people’s behalf, she could have come forward at any moment before, as the living heir to Lordaron and told Anduin, or Varrian to leave Lordaron to those who belonged there, the Forsaken. to let them alone, or invite them back into the Alliance. She does none of this! instead she starts an insurrection on a field that is supposed to be peaceful, and gets people Killed, who were innocent of crimes, she basically forced upon them.  Voss, she wanted nothing to do with the Forsaken, wanted not to be a part of the Horde, did not want to Serve Sylvanas, and basically tells everyone to leave her alone to kill Scarlet Crusaders. Which we do. She becomes Neutral in WoD, and can be conscripted by Horde or, wait for it, Alliance! Basically an Alliance Member. So, how is she leading the Forsaken?  Neither of these women should be in charge of the Forsaken, even if Sylvanas never returns! 

I am pretty much done, with all of it. there needs to be some serious fixes to the way things are going. Sylvanas was right, the Horde is nothing! because it pretty much does not exist with the Roster we have going for the leaders here. I want my warchief back. I am not foolish enough to think that is possible, however. I want Sylvanas in charge of the Forsaken as she always has been, not that I think that will be a thing. So maybe, there is a third option! Maybe, there is a way to go to a totally new side, and have Sylvanas be it’s leader. it could be done! 

I am not foolish enough to think Blizzard will listen to my ramblings. I do not think I have a snowballs chance in hell, of ever getting them to listen. I think though, this will probably be my last Horrah. I think this will be the Last expansion I play in, since they have forced me into a corner, where the Game, and it’s Lore is no longer fun for me. There is new stuff I Like, but none of it has to do with my Faction or my supposed leaders. none of it has anything to do with my character as she has been. it all has to do with the Shadowlands, and when they go away, I am concerned that my joy for the game will go with them. 

“No. Nathanos is not tied to Sylvanas, and no, they really have not been trying to please anyone but alliance Sympathizers. Not that I have seen at least. If there is more, in the Shadowlands, to prove we are about to get something wonderful in the story, then great! At this point, I do not think there is any appeasing the Majority of Forsaken players, who want Sylvanas back. None of those I know Like Calia, or Lillian, at this point, they are all of the Forsaken I know, and including myself angry about how the story has played out, and the Forced take over of the Forsaken and indeed of the Horde by the Alliance and those who would be friends to the Alliance. when you talk about the "Faction" of blight Loving Forsaken, you are talking about the Majority. When you are talking about the Traitors, you are talking about 1 in 100 maybe, because I have not come across these Alliance loving Forsaken in my 16 years of playing WoW. I am pretty ticked there is no mention of the Loyalists, as we still exist. We did not just go away, and we are not about to stop following Sylvanas. Those Forsaken who ran to the Alliance Side in Before the Storm, they were Traitors, and those who returned immediately as instructed before this meeting, they lived. Calia's Presence got those all who did not make it back in time Killed. The Sister of her Abuser on the Field shows just how dumb Anduin is. She should have been in the chapel and stayed there if she wanted to come. Traitors deserve a Traitor's Death. Like Saurfang and the Forsaken who died before him, they owed their Loyalty to Sylvanas. the Forsaken more so, because they were given the choice to follow her, return to undeath, or go about their merry way, so long as they did not directly appose Sylvanas and the Forsaken. Lillian Voss, was one such undead, who was raised, who went her own way. she did not swear Fealty to Sylvanas, and she continued to live in undeath unscathed by Sylvanas. Derrick Proudmoore, was a weapon, against the Alliance, who are our enemies. Who committed more atrocities, than Garrosh and Sylvanas combined. Teldrassil was deserved. Baine, who owed his loyalty to his warchief and his people, Killed Horde members to free the weapon, and give it to the enemy. Sylvanas did not kill or oust any Horde member, In fact she was more inclusive in her decision making than Thrall even was. Saurfang not only defects to the Alliance, he murders Horde Members in Swamp of Sorrow, and Causes insurrection against his Warchief, who he owed his Allegiance to. Any of those who Followed the Quest line know, that as Loyalists, Sylvanas has no dastardly plan. She tells you to go along, to stay out of it, that what ever happens happens, she at one point wants you to let Baine go, as part of her plan. She never mentions burning thunder Bluff, Thrall is the one who suggests this. She never says she is going to Execute Baine, though she should, she never says that is what she is doing. In fact, Thrall and Saurfang murder more Horde members when they Free Baine, who is blatantly a Traitor. Baine who hands a weapon back to our enemy, the same exact enemy who murders the King of our new Allies, the Father of Talanji, in his home. He had not attacked the Alliance, he was not a part of the Horde at the time, and Jaina and Genn break into his Castle and murder him along with many of his people. Sylvanas makes a deal with one of the Ruling houses of Kultiras, She makes a Deal, instead of bust up into the Alliance aligned Capital City of Kultiras and Murder Kathrine Proudmoore. Who at this point, is an Alliance Supporter. Jaina Proudmoore is an Alliance Supporter, and She becomes Lord Admiral. Then, the Dark Lady sends us to Azshara. We both Free and kill Nzoth because of the Dark Lady. Nathanos Delivers the Blade that is used to weaken Nzoth. She is Directly responsible for Nzoth's downfall. Lortharmar, pissy that he mussed his hair on the way down, not only decides to turn traitor, but then Works with and Befriends, the woman who Murdered his people in Dalaran with her own hands, who kicked families from their thousands of year old home, imprisoned them, or killed them, if they refused to leave their homes. She flat out tries to Execute Romath, Lortharmars closest friend, and then she murders the King of our new Allies, and the Father of Talanji, but Lortharmar sides with her. Baine Sides with her. Saurfang sides with the Alliance. Traitors, ALL. We are expected to Just, accept the Alliance puppets as leaders? The Traitors, who ousted the woman who was responsible for our Survival on the broken shore, for our survival on Dark Shore, as we followed Saurfang's plan. She was the reason for our Survival in Icecrown, through the pit of Sauron and the Halls of reflection. She is responsible for weakening Arthas, and his death. she is Responsible for being the first on the shore to fight against Garrosh forces in Siege of Org. She won the Battle of Androhal, and the Fight for Gilneas! Maybe sometimes using questionable tactics, but she won them for the Horde. she Fought on the front lines in all of these! at the Broken shore, who was first to touch down for the Horde? Who was it who used her most Precious Resource to pull all the Horde out, and Save their lives as we were clearly about to fall? Who was the one, who sailed our Ship, the only one, back to Org, Herself? the ship, You the player wake up on, the only one in the Harbor? Sylvanas, saved our lives, time and time again. Through the expansions, she has fought on the front lines. She is the single most effective Military tactician the Horde, or Alliance has ever seen, and has personally saved the lives of ALL of these Traitors, and they still, chose to help our Hated enemy, the Alliance. The Self Righteous Alliance, who do not even know the Significance of the phrase, Loktar Ogar! Who disrespect the Mak'gora. Who think they have the moratorium on honor, on Loyalty, on the freedom of choice.   They presume to dictate what the Horde should and should not do. What Resources the Horde is aloud to have. Where the Horde is aloud to go. Who the Horde can Allie with. None of that is up to the Alliance. They do not have the moral high ground. Sylvanas won the Mak'gora. Saurfang said of Garrosh, that he would see him forgiven, if he won a Mak'gora against Saurfang. Sylvanas won! Even though Saurfang cheats. She wins. She is Still Warchief! Traitors. Then what happens? The Alliance is let into Orgrimar! by who? by the very people who owe the MOST to Sylvanas, those who she rules over and cares for the most, the ones, who's lives she saved, the ones who she gave a home to! the ones who she fought to get Justice for. the ones she saved from Garrosh war machine, that would have seen them spent to the Last. The Forsaken betray their Queen, and let the Traitors and Alliance into Orgrimar. The Horde Loses the War, because of Traitors, and Deus ex Machina. By Plot armor, and Stupidity on the part of the other Horde "Leaders". Traitors. I am a Loyalist, obviously. I followed Sylvanas away, when the Alliance entered the City, and now, I have been told, I do not exist. That I am not a Loyalist, that all of them were murdered by Thrall, or imprisoned. Thrall says this himself. Thrall who would have died on the broken shore, if not for Sylvanas. Nathanos, owes his very Sanity to the Dark Lady, and if he does turn on her, there is no saving this story. That means, that I am the Most Loyal, that my fellow Loyalists, who Still would serve the Dark Lady given the Chance, really Are, the MOST Loyal. She was right, the Horde is nothing, not anymore. The only Leaders at this point I do not actively hate, or I do not think are Traitors, are Kiro, and Gazlow. That makes me absolutely Sick. Talanji has forgiven the Traitors? who sided with the Alliance, who Murdered her Father? Great. The Horde is nothing. none of them would know what Honor was if it bet them in the face. there has been no concession made to those who like Nathanos. there has been no attempt thus far to try and bring the Loyalists back into the fold. Or Punish us! Either way, it tells me they think I do not exist. The Champion of Azeroth, does not exist. Along with all my Brothers and Sisters, who are STILL Loyal. So, please, do not try to tell me, that they want to show or serve all sides a decent answer. Because My side has not even been considered in the story thus far. It is an impossible task to please everyone. I do not want to be Alliance, The war is not over for me, as with Most Veterans of war. There is no healing to be done for my character, and her story, because the Alliance has not payed for their hand in so many Atrocities. No one has been put on Trial, on the Alliance Side, and All of them are guilty at this point. They are Hypocrites all of them.  Baine deserved punished for his Betrayal, Thrall, and Lortharmar, and the rest, with him. At the very least, they should no longer be aloud to serve as leaders of their Races. They should not be representing the Horde in ANY capacity. They do not belong ruling over the Horde on a Counsel. At the Very Least! I think Baine Deserves execution for his hand in all this. Thrall, does not belong in the Horde anymore. He abandoned the Horde to the hands of Garrosh, and he put Gallywix in power over the player Character after you free him from Gallywix and the Alliance, and help Aggra. The Alliance who fired on a ship, because they did not want there to be witnesses to their capture of Thrall. Who fired on a Ship, full of the LAST of the Kezzan Goblins. Genocide, right? and Gallywix, tries to enslave all of us, and only is fought off by the player, and Thrall, and Thrall puts him in charge of the Goblins. Thanks Thrall, you absolute Jerk. Like I said, zero room for the Alliance to be the Moral police here. I realize this rant has kind of gone on, but it has been building for a long while. There has been a Grievous Wrong done to my faction, to my favorite Lore character, to My Warchief, and to my player Agency. I am still hoping Blizz fixes this. If not, this will be the last time I play a WoW expansion. I am not apposed to a good wrap up to the story, so do not get me wrong. I am not apposed even to Sylvanas Death, but it better be well done.  If Tyrande runs up at the last moment and Kills Sylvanas, or we are forced to kill her, or Thrall steps in again! I will not be forgiving. Nathanos betraying her, not going to have me forgive anyone either. I honestly do not know what the answer is here. I have my ideas on how I would like the Shadowlands to end. both with Sylvanas living, and with her Dying. So there is a chance! there is a chance they can pull it out of the fire, but it is a Slim one. I will say this, the new Alliance leaders, gives me hope there could be new leaders for the Horde! Leaders who are not wrapped up in 16 years of blood. I Like Shandris! I Liked the Gnome you get to play through BFA with, Steelspark? she was awesome! Keshan?! great! Flynn, Great! Lorna Crowly, and Taelia Fordragon! Great! now just do this for the Horde. Kiro and Gazlow! Wonderful! Nisha! she is awesome. Lady Liadrin, I might be ok with her taking over for Lortharmar, maybe. But the thing people are mostly mad about is that Russia got kicked within months of invading Ukraine but Israel has been let to participate. I get that it is a bit different because if Russia would take part it would feel bad for the Ukrainian people and Palestine isn't in Europe nor Eurovision however Israel isn't in Europe either, it's in Asia and similar to Russia it is invading another country. The matter is of course about supporting Palestine but it is also about that Eurovision is being a bit contradictory.

Also, I heard from someone who used to work at Eurovision in the Norwegian department and she said that the reason Russia got kicked was because many other countries threatened to not participate if Russia would and since Eurovision doesn't want to go in loss they kicked Russia, so they don't actually care about what we think they care about.

It also seems pretty heartless to let a country's government celebrate by performing and maybe winning one of the most important music competitions of Europe while also commiting genocide and warcrimes.

I'm sorry for being like this but honestly I'm getting pretty irritated seeing all the people trying to boycott Eurovision and all the ban posts even under other participants' posts/Eurovision's posts about other participants. I already talked in an earlier post about how this is unfair to all the others and the staging and such, but hear this.

I see Alot. of people just wildly calling ESC genocide supporters and all that, and it pisses me off. No, of course ESC is not a war supporter. What the jingle bells. That's literally just randomly labeling someone as something.

Eurovision is literally an European singing show. It's about music, and unity, Europe (and Australia!) coming together and having a good time and being multicultural in music- hall, the sole purpose with which Eurovision was made was literally to unite Europe. And now all I see is people saying 'exclude this country or I'm boycotting' honestly you are missing the point.

Once again just to be clear I'd like to add that I am of course no war supporter, but I am an Eurovision music show supporter.

For starters, Rage Against the Machine, Sublime, and NWA are definitely mainstream bands. Everyone knows Bulls on Parade; at least one if not several Sublime songs (can't really listen to a "rock" radio station without hearing them); and "Fuck the Police" (not calling NWA punk, but I am saying their rhetoric of "can we stop being killed by police for no reason" is ya know, pertinent).

You say these things would be "unthinkable" and "unconscionable" 40 years ago, and yet? We celebrate pride month/hold pride parades because a black trans woman threw a brick at a cop st Stonewall in 1969 (almost 60 years ago) to kick off the Stonewall Riot. We know of trans people from ALL THROUGHOUT history from all cultures. So sure, mainstream support of those ideas might've been unconscionable, but they were, and always have been, existent. Also, no one is saying that a 5 year old should be on hormones??? and if they do they're a fucking weirdo and shouldn't be a parent, that's not a controversial statement, but rhetoric around not assigning and forcing strict gender roles on children has been around since at least 1983, as evidenced by this bit in Monty Python and the Meaning of Life (even if read as a satire of the rhetoric, the rhetoric must still have been present in order to be satired). these are by no means new concepts.

Also if you read that article about the Irish teaching being fired simply "for not using the correct pronouns" you'd know it was more than that, and he was endangering the safety of the students; he wasn't arrested for "not using the correct pronouns" but for going against a court order to stay away from the school.

And sure, I'll admit, totalitarian yes, maybe not entirely fascist (but, let's be honest here, how much of a difference is there?)

I will counter your point here by saying those things, in and of themselves, are good things. However, people, especially on the right, have become overzealous of these items. Loving your country is fine; loving your country and refusing to acknowledge or downright denying its shortcomings and the harm it has caused is nationalism (which is dangerous). There are literally people who say the US committing warcrimes in other nations is a good thing (no matter who authorized said warcrimes (looking at you Mr Obama) ), and that is an issue. Religious faith is fine, until you start proselytizing across the world and trying to impose your religion on others against their will, doubly so for religion tied into government. Desire to protect children is good, until you are requesting to see children's genitalia (as some Republicans have proposed) in order to let them participate in sports or use the bathroom of their choice. Vigilance/protection from outside attacks is fine, until you are provoking others to attack by meddling in their, or wrongly presuming someone is being hostile (case of Ahmaud Arbery, man was jogging through a neighborhood and was hunted and killed by racists who thought he was there to cause harm, only on the basis of him be a black man). The only lenses being changed are those on the right, who see these items and say "nothing wrong here," because their lens is being changed to fall in line with fascism. Anarchists have been calling these things out since at least the 1980's.

Fox news is one of the biggest right wing media channels in the country. There is also Breitbart, Prague U, and hell, even in places like Seattle there are institutions not entirely or wholly left wing, hell Seattle Pacific University is currently getting sued because of anti gay hiring practices. I am aware you are not an American, and may not be informed/aware of these, so no harm no foul here. I will agree with your sentiment on the status quo, but again distinguish between the left and liberals. Liberals are the ones who base their identity on victimhood and supposed moral superiority usually derived from said victimhood, but again are capable and often do shit just as heinous as anyone else, and have their seemingly "revolutionary" positions be the status quo, at least in many areas.
