Currently Watching: My husband and I are caught up on Abbot Elementary so we've switched over to Creature Commandos right now!

need kurama to be gay yearning and staying up way too late doing homework bc he spent too much time with hiei (knew he was managing his time badly but decided it was totally worth the lack of sleep so he could have fun with his crush. he can allow himself a normal teenager moment sometimes).

and in his sleepy delirious gay longing he becomes fixated on hiei taking his last name once theyre together. and cant get it out of his head. so he allows himself another stereotypical teenager moment and writes "hiei minamino" and their names together surrounded by a bunch of hearts over and over in his notebook. before he proceeds to pass out on his desk. with said notebook with obvious gay writings still open.

luckily for him, hiei didnt show back up in the middle of the night and see it.

but- his mom wakes up in the middle of the night, and decides to go check on him since she knows he was staying up late working by the time she went to bed. and when she finds her poor son has overworked himself and fell asleep on his desk (again), of COURSE shes going to come over to usher him to bed. and when the desk light is perfectly illuminating his notebook covered in hearts right beside his head, its hard to not take notice of it, or that it clearly reveals her son has a crush on his little friend he spends so much time with

𝙂𝙃𝙊𝙎𝙏 𝙎𝙐𝙍𝙀𝙇𝙔 𝙏𝙃𝙊𝙐𝙂𝙃𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘽𝙇𝙊𝙉𝘿𝙀 𝙒𝙊𝙐𝙇𝘿 𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙋 𝙃𝙄𝙈. he awaits the others protests that will tell him to stop, telling him to get off the man and leave him alone. but it never comes. instead the mask is tilting, body language that of a puppy and not so much a murderous serial killer. he really wasn't going to stop him ? maybe kura was more fucked up than he'd given him credit for. the mask lowers to peer down at the man underneath him. straddling his victim was always far easier, made it personal despite the fact that he didn't know this man. only that he was a regular at the bar he too spent most nights. the guy had done virtually no wrongdoing as far as he was aware but it's not about that. he isn't some sort of vigilante hero. the man whimpers, blood making his face unrecognizable.

❛ w - what the f - fuck ?! d - don't . . . don't let him - ❜ the man thought that kurama may be a savior but clearly that had backfired. little did the victim know that ghost hated this blonde's guts. most days at least. not that he needed kurama permission to do anything, getting it in this context does intrigue him. the blunt end of the knife hits the man's temple hard in attempt to get him to shut up and he does. flipping the knife in his hand he digs it into the side of his neck, ending his life in a swift motion. but it's not perfect. gurgling fills the alleyway and so badly ghost wants to lift his head to see if kurama is watching or if he's finally realized what he'd asked for. dying eyes glare daggers at the white plastic before rolling back into his head. silence. using gloved fingers he cleans the buck one - twenty and slides it into a holster. the voice changer finally crackles.

i already love yusuke's actor

i'm sad koenma isn't a baby, but maybe we'll get a snippet of him being a toddler before shifting into an adult

a MUCH more serious tone than i was hoping for

the demon that attacks yusuke is scary as heck

did they just show the dark tournament island? they did oh yes they did

kurama looks as pretty as ever, as gay as ever, and i dont mind the wig, i said it, i like it even

hiei fucking around with stabbing cars??? okay okay, im here for it

kuwabara's energy sword!!!

the fight scenes look badass, there's definitely a lot of effort being put into them

kurama's handstand spin thing is just what i want for him, like, yes baby you do that

karasu and bui being in it so early on??? along with toguro??

speaking of - elder and younger toguro both look so so much better than i thought they would

i dont know what to do with the four of them fighting toguro together - seems odd but hopefully in the context of the show it makes sense

live action bui is totally giving off shredder vibes and im not mad at that

the focus of the trailer is mainly the action which does make me a little nervous because so much of the magic of yu yu hakusho happens outside of the battles and the characters interacting.

i do wonder with the inclusion of the toguro brothers if theyre skipping over the saint beasts arc to get to the yukina arc which would be a good place to end the season, though including bui? and karasu? i think they're trying to make hiei and kurama's battles more personal.

crossing my fingers we get another trailer that shows more than just the action (even though the action does look amazing and the cgi is solid).

ANYWAYS. it looks awesome. i think it's going to be a very fun adaptation~

ok ok im envisioning casino upgrades for the dgp trio as:

ace: counting cards - white suit with black and red art nouveau motif accents. initial form features the red suits in diamond chestplate and heart sword. in revolved form features the black suits in club boots and spade staff. may come with a little crown.

neon: roulette - gold suit with black and red concentric paneling. circular chestplate with the wheel motif. weapon is a staff with the wheelhead on top, which she spins to charge her finisher. makes a piano slide noise during transformation.

keiwa: bingo - silver with black grid pattern. chestplate is bingo grid, which charges with placements as he does more damage until he gets bingo (finisher charge). weapon is bingo gatlinger with ball projectiles.
