Like.........there’s just........I don’t know how to explain it, but I once saw it explained so well in a post. It was basically talking about Castlevania, and how in that show Dracula sees humanity’s folly and develops so much hatred he just goes straight to murder rage. And while in some ways I understand that, I understand even more deeply Trevor’s response to humanity’s fear and violence. He says that he knows they’re short-sighted, that maybe we all just don’t deserve saving...but that he’s going to do it anyway. Leonardo just so much gives me that energy of knowing there’s so much pain in the world, but all we can do is keep walking--keep trying, even if we have to claw our way forward. Because if you only see the awfulness in front of you, you forget the way that strangers make silly faces at babies to make them laugh on the train, how a friend will put everything down to race over to someone and comfort them with some ice cream--do anything they can to distract them from the hurt. How the sight of a child crying will prompt careful cooing from a stranger as to their bravery, an offering of cool water, the gentle placement of a bandaid. How a pair of teenagers will spot a lost child in milliseconds and help them seek out their parents protectively. There is so much wretchedness, but also so much beauty in it all, and the older I get the more I see myself wanting to believe in the latter. I want to be hopeful, and easily impressed, and full of love. To be bitter and jaded accomplishes nothing, and only becomes a worsening self-fulfilling prophecy. The more you seek negativity, the more you will find it; and worse, create it.

I also scream a little bit bc like. I’ve gone on and on about how Comte is very obviously in love with MC all the time, and sure that may be true. But...I really don’t think Leo is exempt from that either if I’m honest lmfao. Only because what does Leonardo do when it isn’t his route? He almost never shows up. Once in a while he might appear for a split second in a scene, but he almost never converses with MC beyond those short moments. While Comte is the one to pine openly, I’d wager Leo is the opposite. He pines in absolute silence, because he knows that if he gets any closer--he’s going to fall. He’s going to enjoy it too much, going to keep seeking out more before he can stop himself. And losing another person he loves...he just can’t do it anymore. In his first meeting story he talks about seeing MC’s eyes and feeling like he’d known them all his life, and even in his MS he speaks to just being completely fascinated by and enamored of her. She doesn’t hesitate, always does her best, meets people head-on and without much hesitation. After a lifetime of people that are probably just immediately interested in him for his talents, or always seeking out his company for the novelty, this is someone that doesn’t give a single fuck if he’s Leonardo da Vinci. Sure she’s aware, and sure she’s impressed to some extent, but her respect--her attraction and admiration--is something that has to be earned. 

There’s something so refreshing about how their love was written. Sure it’s the whole fake marriage to a real relationship, but it’s also a kind of subtle enemies to lovers pulled off masterfully. MC is 100% minding her own business, just wants to do what she must in order to get home, tries to focus on her work to keep from thinking about how much she misses her old life. She doesn’t rely on anyone, doesn’t talk about how hard it is or how scary it is or how confusing. And even Leonardo forgets in his curiosity, is just chillin and also just trying to do the bare minimum to keep from getting too attached--figures he can admire her from a distance. And then he sees her staring at the hourglass. And suddenly, he can’t just watch her do that herself. Just wait for the hard times to pass, just sit with her own loneliness--that hollowing silence. There’s something so moving about it because he reaches out precisely because he knows that feeling to his fucking marrow, and literally just cannot watch somebody else do that to themselves. Sure he’s been dealing with it for three hundred years, BUT THIS GOOD BABIE CHILD DOES NOT DESERVE THIS. SHE WORKS HARD AND DESERVES NICE THINGS!!!!!!!! And so he drives her crazy as he races ahead of her, intercepting any attempt for her to preserve that silence and hide. She doesn’t see any pattern to it, and that’s just how he likes it--he doesn’t want her to worry about the how or why. 

Like I fully remembering playing in Japanese and being like oh my fucking god this is hilarious, this man is just a wild fucker and I love this. I was enjoying myself, mostly laughing and shaking my head. But then it just gets so, so serious. I was having so much fun that I, like a fool, forgot the anime effect. If you’re having fun, it’s going to come crashing down without mercy soon enough. And it does. He helps a little girl without any hope play her violin again, and maybe I’m just too English major but I was fucking FLOORED when I realized I didn’t see that that was straight foreshadowing. That little girl without hope? That was MC (and by extension depending on how you play, us). Though the metaphor isn’t quite so easily mapped without a physical space, the connection is clear when you think about it. With his careful social awareness, he makes a place for MC to exist in the mansion so naturally--as though she was meant to be there from the start, crafts a positive impression of her presence with each of the residents. And he does it with zero expectation of anything in return; he’s just happy to see her not stressing herself out anymore or trying to do everything alone. MC doesn’t fall in love with him despite their differences, she falls in love with him because they are the same in a singular and all-encompassing way that matters; they both care about other people so deeply, to the point where they will forego any personal needs in order to make that person’s life easier. Whether it be muting their own hardship, or working to involve another person in a new space (or opening up to the point of self-destruction to keep a person from feeling alone), they go above and beyond what anybody asks of them--perhaps strong to the point of their own detriment, in some cases. 

It’s why I always laugh when he says to Sebastian “That cara mia, she has a good heart.” Of course she does, Leonardo; it certainly takes one to know one. 

And because I literally have no brain cells beyond being in fucking love with Leonardo THE LAKE SCENE IS AN AFFRONT TO MY DIGNITY AND SELF-CONTROL. HOW DARE YOU, SIGNORE. HOW DARE YOU ASK ME TO SIT THERE AND WATCH YOU OPEN YOUR HEART TO ME AND NOT BAWL MY EYES OUT AND TRY TO KISS YOU ALL AT THE SAME TIME. so, like with all my fics i kind of have a ‘read into it how you want’ thing going for it. whether or not kuroo actually has ‘romantic’ (i use that word loosely) feelings for the reader or whether he just enjoys fucking her because he’s in a position of power and she’s easily manipulated is left a little up to your interpretation and how you’d prefer to imagine it. however, having said that there are little hints throughout the fic that imply that there’s a little more depth to kuroo’s feelings. you’re not wrong with the whole ‘showing her off’ vibe at the party, and there’s mentions of confessions that kuroo gives while he’s fucking the reader - also the title of the fic, invidia, means envy in latin. so take that how you will 🤷‍♀️

and as far as how it all began, i like to think that it was kind of a slow build. again it’s implied that kuroo has met the reader (however briefly) a few times before - at games as nekoma’s manager, when she initially was introduced as his girlfriend and she has stayed over at their place in the past. it wasn’t so much a singular moment, but kuroo’s definitely been paying more attention to her than she realises.

Honestly again, it’s kind of left up to what you like to think would happen, but personally I think that the reader stays, because there’s no easy way to get out of that situation without raising suspicion - which means that she then has to spend the next week trying unwittingly playing cat and mouse with Kuroo who’s gonna use every damn opportunity he has to push your boundaries 👀

you literally have like a mental breakdown as you were back at your home 

that literally had everything you needed

even the fucking buy 6 get 1 free for the froyo you love to get 

now you have to start all over 

you’re freaking the fuck out 

and all of your friends tell you the same thing “retrace your steps and if you don’t find it, let the companies all know the situation” 

so that’s where you start 

you literally look through every nook and cranny as you retrace your steps 

the last stop is at the library

you’re literally crawling on top and below the table, searching for the wallet you lost 

Jinyoung’s working at the desk, as per usual 

he’s literally just watching you scramble around

not like that 

but like no one is really here and you’re moving around so quickly 

anyways 

after like 15 minutes of searching, you walk up to the desk 

you’ve literally been coming here for months and this is literally the first time you’ve walked up to the desk 

Jinyoung acts like he doesn’t see you heading his way, making it look like he’s invested in his book 

You: “ahem” 

he looks at you with his glasses on the bridge of his nose 

You: “has anyone brought up a wallet?” 

when you were here earlier, Jinyoung may or may not had noticed a little wallet falling out of your bag as you packed your things to leave 

Jinyoung: “I saw one earlier, but I’ll check if it’s still here” 

you just wait at the desk, tapping on it as Jinyoung goes through the lost and found bin 

he walks back up to the desk and gently places it down 

Jinyoung: “I’m not sure if it is yours, so you should check it—” 

you look overjoyed at the familiar patterned wallet 

You: “thank you, thank you, thank you—I owe you my life” 

you’ve grabbed ahold of his arms and your eyes sparkle at him like a savior 

he’s a bit flustered from your thanks and smiles at you, as you continue to ramble 

You: “you don’t understand, you literally saved from doing like 900 things to get all the stuff back; I will literally pay for your dinner or something. I literally am so grateful—” 

you cut yourself off, realizing what that sounded like 

You: “nevermind, cross that out, I’m so sorry, I’ll just leave or something before I look like an even bigger idiot—”

MASTERLIST // DARYL DIXON MASTERLIST

The rapid wind made your hair flow as you rode with Daryl on his bike, tapping a rhythm on his chest and probably annoying him in the process, but he showed no sign of stopping you. The group had settled into the prison not that long ago and were in desperate need of supplies especially baby formula. Judith had came into the world while Lori left it and it took a toll on everyone, some more than others. You were known to have a bubbly personality, someone always in high spirits, outgoing and an all around fun person who made lots of jokes, so when Lori died, you did your best to bring good vibes and cheer everyone up. Cooked, cleaned, read, played games, anything to help… Rick even yelled at you for being so happy in a time like that. 

He was grieving, so you did your best not to take it to heart, but it still stung a little. You were saddened by Lori’s death, she was one of the first people you had gotten to know when you came to the quarry, but you didn’t want to bury yourself in your cell… she wouldn’t want that and neither did you. Other than Lori, you were close with Rick, despite him lashing out at you, the whole Greene family including Glenn, and Daryl… the one you loved in a different way. 

Daryl and you were close, very close. Your personalities clashed at first since he closed himself off, never letting anyone get too close where as you welcomed it. It wasn’t until you all had arrived at the C.D.C that you and the hunter’s relationship took a turn for the better. Everyone was having a joyous time, dining together and drinking, and so when it was time to go to bed, you and Daryl had other plans. You talked and talked for hours, drunk off your asses, laughing and having a great time, just getting to know each other more. After that, he was more comfortable with you and even sparked up conversations first which made your heart swell. You both were in a comfortable place and you didn’t want to disturb it or even lose him if you admitted your feelings. Since that day, you two have been inseparable since, tied to each others hip and paired with one another every time like this run you were on. 

Daryl slowly pulled up to a vast grocery store containing all the items you needed to tie you guys over for a while. You swung your leg off the bike and grabbed two bags, handing one to the archer as he stood up and picked up his crossbow to secure it over his shoulder. When you entered the store, you parted ways to cover more ground and get the supplies you needed so you could get out quicker. As you were walking down the chip aisle, you were met with a walker who was staring intensely at a bag of chips and it made you giggle. “What?” you teased, wielding out your hunting knife and holding it out in a questionable manner. “Want some chips?” 

The walker swung in the direction you were at and groaned, stumbling over to you as if it were drunk. When it got in arms length of you, you kicked it in the torso and shook your head as it fell to the ground. It got up and growled louder, charging for you, so you grabbed its neck and held it there. “Can ya stop teasin’ the damn thing ‘n kill it?” 

You smirked looking to the side to see Daryl in the corner of your eye as you plunged your knife into its skull before it dropped with a thud. “What? I can’t have a lil fun?” you quipped, turning to grab your favorite chips off the shelf. Daryl strode over to you and bumped your shoulder when he stood next to you, watching as you plopped a couple in your mouth. You took a few more and held them to his mouth, gesturing him to open wide. He complied and you carefully shoved them in before lightly patting your palm under his chin with a grin. “M’thanks,” he said as he chewed. 

You smiled as you nodded, rolling up the chips so you could stuff it in your bag to take with you. “Alright,” you said as you put your finger in your mouth to get anything that was stuck on or in your teeth. “I won’t get distracted, promise.” You crossed your heart and Daryl gave you a look, wanting you to say more, making you roll your eyes. “And that also includes not teasing the creeps or eating everything I find.” Daryl smirked and nodded, satisfied with your answer and walked past you, but not before he grabbed the back of your head to kiss the top of it. You smiled and looked over your shoulder as he went down the aisle, feeling the butterflies in your stomach go berserk. ‘Y/N, you’re getting distracted… something you promised you wouldn’t do.’ 

Your mind was right, you needed to focus and grab the shit you needed to bolt out of there. Judith needed formula bad and there was no time for drooling over food… or Dixon. It had been at least thirty minutes of seeking out the goods you needed and you even snagged a miniature bag of peanuts to snack on while you went to look for your partner in crime. You softly hummed a tune to yourself and threw your head back to chew on more peanuts before seeing Daryl’s figure through the shelves. The bag of items you gathered were draped over your shoulder and you were casually rummaging through your snack, snatching as many as you could. “Hey, Dare, what’d you find…” 

You instantly tossed the bag of nuts, dropped your grocery bag and whipped out your pistol in a blink of an eye, glaring at a mysterious man who was aiming a gun of his own at Daryl. “Woah, there buddy, what’s goin’ on here?” you questioned, scanning his figure, reading his body language before taking a peek at Daryl. He had his hands at his sides in a semi casual stance, but you could see a hint of tension in his toned muscles. His crossbow was across the floor where the guy stood, it was obvious he instructed Daryl to slide his weapon over. 

“Drop the weapon, lady. I don’ wanna shot no one, but I will,” he said in a wavering voice, looking between you and Daryl as if you’d make a sudden move, he was clearly nervous. 

“I’m sorry, sir, but I can’t do that,” you solemnly replied, earning a scolded look from the hunter. You knew before you even answered the man that Daryl wouldn’t approve, he would want you to abide and you’d both figure a way out of it, but you couldn’t do that… you wouldn’t. Your choice in the matter changed in a second once he cocked his gun, ready to shoot at Daryl. “Okay! Fine! You win, I’m puttin’ it down,” you shouted, slowly bending down and placing your gun on the cold tiled floor, not caring if it was a bluff, you weren’t about to take that chance. He motioned with his head for you to kick it over to him, so you scooted it with the side of your foot next to the archer’s bow. 

“Go stand next to your boyfriend,” he demanded, gaining more confidence since he was in total control of the situation, but it was all a mask. He was a coward, but you needed to boost him, remind him of his authority in the situation. Daryl was in fact, not your boyfriend, but you two knew better than to correct him. You quickly stepped over to Daryl and he instinctively pushed you behind him and grabbed onto your hand tightly making it almost go numb. “You’re in control, so what now?” you spoke up as you watched the man stare at the two of you, not knowing what to do. 

“I’m goin’ get what I came here for, so don’t try nothin’” he responded, going to the shelf behind him and dumping cans in his bag while occasionally looking over his shoulder at you and Daryl with caution. You squeezed your protector’s shoulder with your other hand that wasn’t being smothered by his and placed your cheek against his upper arm, watching the man clear the shelves. Daryl’s orbs flickered between his crossbow and the man, and you lightly shook your head once he looked at you thinking it wasn’t a good idea. He let go of your hand anyways, so you loosened your grasp on him as he stealthed his way to the weapons on the ground while the man was occupied. You eyed the man, hoping he didn’t glimpse over in your direction, but sure enough he peered over and his eyes widened, making yours do the same. He reached for his gun and you shouted, running towards Daryl and shoving him out the way before feeling a piercing pain in your abdomen as you stood in place of the archer.

Daryl had fallen on his side and removed his arms from his face that he covered out of instinct, and stared at your stomach with shock. The man glanced at the gun in his hand, traumatized of what he had done and bolted towards the exit. Daryl was brought out of his trace and reached for your discarded pistol, firing a couple shots at the man who had just shot you three times, but the archer missed every single one of them. You dropped to your knees, tears streaming down your face, clutching your stomach with your mouth agape as Daryl slid his knees across the tile to get to you. 

Blood was pouring out of you at an alarming rate, staining your white t-shirt as you laid on the cold floor, making you lightly chuckle. “Bad time… to wear… white, huh?” you joked, struggling to breathe and it made Daryl’s brow crease together as he tried to stop the bleeding. “Yer makin’ jokes at a time like this?! What the hell were ya thinkin’?!” he yelled, voice cracking as his hands were slipping, coated in your blood. 

“I… I was thinking…” you said before trying to shallow, groaning at the pain it caused to do such a simple task. “He had a… a gun aimed at the… person I love most in the world… and people… people do crazy things when they’re in love… Daryl… Dixon,” you mustered up a closed lipped smile, slowly raising your shaky red hand to caress his cheek. Daryl instantly covered your hands with his and shut his eyes, bowing his head as he cried.  

“I’ve already lost my brother… I can’t lose ya too, Y/N.” Daryl whimpered before sniffing and rubbing his nose, trying his best to suck his emotions back in for your sake. He began stuffing your pistol in the back waistband of his jeans and slung his crossbow along with the filled grocery bags over his shoulders. He picked you up bridal style and kicked the store door, breaking the glass and striding through it to get to his motorcycle. You wanted to fight him, to tell him there was no point in trying to save you, you were most likely going to die within the next few minutes due to blood loss, but you didn’t want to waste the last of your energy to argue. Besides, Daryl’s a stubborn man and you knew you couldn’t talk him into doing such a thing, he wouldn’t let you. 

Daryl carefully seated you down on his bike, your back facing the handlebars. “I know it hurts, but try ta sit up for me,” he said before he hurriedly secured the bags and his crossbow at the back. The scorching sun was beating down on your pale, clammy face as you leaned against the bars, holding your wounds tightly as you waited for Daryl. He hopped on the bike and carefully, but quickly scooted you flush against him so your chests were touching and your thighs were on top of his. The hunter revved the two wheeled vehicle and took off wasting no time in getting you back to the prison. While still clutching your stomach, you lazily wrapped your free hand around his torso and rested your head on his shoulder, nuzzling his neck and smirked as the air cooled your sweaty skin. You withdrew your arm from around his torso and brought your hand up to settle on his neck, rubbing circles around it. “If… I die-” 

“Nah, don’ say that,” Daryl interjected before you could finish your sentence and you shakily lifted your head to peer at him. He quickly looked at you with watery eyes that were mournful and his lip quivered, but he suppressed it as he tore his crystal blue off of you to focus back on the road. 

“If. I. Die…” you emphasized, earning Daryl to sorrowfully close his eyes at the thought before staring at the road again. “This is what I would want as I did… to be in your arms… riding on your… bike, feelin’ the breeze on… my… skin,” you chuckled and this time you didn’t feel any pain at the action, just peace. “I… love you… Daryl.”

“I love ya too, Y/N.” Daryl kissed the top of your head and rested his chin on your head, getting closer to the prison, just a couple more minutes and you’d be there. The hunter’s heart dropped when your gripped loosened from his neck and dropped in your lap, he glanced down and saw that your eyes were closed and you were limp, the color of your skin drained. “Please don’ go!” He desperately shouted before he called your name and shook you, swerving slightly as he did, trying to multitask, but you wouldn’t budge. Once the prison came into view, he screamed at the top of his lungs for someone to open the damn gate and didn’t show no sign of stopping if no one did. Carol bolted inside the prison while Rick and Carl scurried their way to the gate doors, opening them just in time for Daryl to barrel through and drive up the grass to get close to the prison doors. 

Daryl swung your arms around his neck and lifted you up by thighs, holding them by his waist, keeping you close to his chest as your head lolled underneath his chin. Carol and Hershel rushed out the door and met Daryl at the top of the stairs. “What in the hell happened?” 

“Some asshole held me at gunpoint! He tried shootin’ me, but ended up shootin’ Y/N since she pushed me outta the way, jus’ save her!” Daryl yelled in a panic as they all sped into the prison. Glenn, Maggie, and Beth, who was holding Judith, were all standing up due to the commotion. Maggie gasped and covered her mouth as tears flowed and Glenn brought her to his chest. “Maggie, I know, but I need ya to help me, hun,” her father said, making her nod and quickly go aid him. 

Carol and Rick brought one of the morgue trays they had at the prison and placed it in one of the empty cells. Daryl gently placed you on the metal table before Hershel checked your pulse and the hunter stared at him, scared that his expression would morph into what Daryl refused to accept. “Her pulse is faint, but it’s there. I need everyone out except Maggie and Carol,” the doctor instructed before listing off things he needed to Maggie who then left to get the supplies. 

“Nah, I ain’t leavin’ her doc,” Daryl said as he held your hand, but Hershel shook his head and apologized, stating he needed the room, but that he’d give updates on your condition throughout. Daryl stood there not wanting to leave you and any other time he would fight it, but you needed to be operated on stat. The archer rubbed your hand with his thumb before he placed his hand on your head, stroking your hair as he gave a lingering kiss on your forehead. 

After hours and hours of constantly chewing his thumb, tapping his foot, and pacing throughout the common area of the prison, Maggie slowly walked out of the hallway that led to the cells. Daryl’s head snapped up and once he saw the brunette smile through her tears and nod, he smiled as well, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. He looked back behind her, asking with his eyes if he could go back and see you to which Maggie stepped to the side, gesturing him to go on ahead. Daryl peered over at Rick and the southern smiled ushering him to go, but Daryl gave Maggie a hug and thanked her before he did.

Daryl peeked into the room, standing outside the door and leaning against the door frame. Hershel was checking your heartbeat and blood pressure while Carol tucked you in the bed they moved you in. Daryl’s orbs gawked at the floor and table; blood littered them both, tools were scattered on the metal table, and bandages and towels were across the floor. Carol gave Daryl an empathetic smile before following where his eyes were. “I’ll clean it up, even find a rug and put it in here to cover the stains,” she said, making the hunter tear his eyes off of the horror and nod at her idea. After Carol cleaned up a bit and Hershel informed Daryl on your condition, he was left alone to be with you.  

Two weeks had gone by and you were finally able to permanently get out of that god forsaken bed on Hershel’s orders, the prison actually felt more like a prison than a home at that point. The sun was setting and you had stepped outside down to the gate that opened into the front yard of the prison all by yourself. Daryl would take you on ten minute walks around the prison, but to finally be outside and get some fresh air felt amazing. You had your arm at your side while the other was on top of your bandaged stomach, looking out over the trees where yellows and oranges with a mix of reds filled the sky. 

A pair of strong arms wrapped around you, just under your breasts and you giggled when you felt scruff tickle your neck, and went to place your hands on top of his forearms. He settled his chin on your shoulder and you turned to see the man you loved staring back at you with adoration. “Well, hello there to you too,” you cheekily said, pecking his nose, making his eyes flutter shut as he hummed in content. Daryl hooked his finger under your chin and gingerly kissed your lips before repeating what he reminded you everyday since you got shot.

 “I’m never lettin’ ya go.”

Fic you spent the most time on: i probably did the most RESEARCH on this dagnab fic bc i wanted the dress i wrote about to be HISTORICALLY ACCURATE for reasons i still don’t fully understand. i also spent lots of time on this one bc i wanted it to be sweet and canon compliant and PERFECT since it was for a collection

Fic you spent the least amount of time on: i can bust drabbles out pretty quickly -- and so we know, i agree with sche here on drabbles being 100-300 words. please for the love of god do not call my over 1k fic a drabble or i WILL lose my mind

Longest fic: my fics are not usually very long. i’m more of a ‘show, don’t tell’ type of writer so i think my fics are pretty succinct and to the point. i don’t know that i’ve written anything that’s even hit 5k. i DO however have rps that are upwards of 100k dfkjh which my darling @peachofwork can attest to! we don’t know when to shut up!

that being said this is my one and only multi-chaptered fic, which still only reached abt 3k lol. and this is my longest oneshot

_ MY PERSONAL FAVS _

go ho’s starry night- a chinese-korean collaboration drama starring snsd's yuri, kim youngkwang (the secret life of my secretary), and lee jihoon (legend of the blue sea) - go ho (yuri) is a dedicated worker who deals with her grumpy boss and quirky coworkers. she requests to be transferred to a different team, where she discovers her new boss is her ex-boyfriend, and then basically there forms a harem of 5 of her coworkers who all like her- super fluffy!! episodes are only about 15 minutes long each, and although there is angst, there's a lot more comedy and fluff. the relationship between the two main leads is adorable and had me squealing way more than once

put your head on my shoulder- a chinese drama starring fair xing (master devil do not kiss me) and lin yi- si tu mo is a bubbly girl who moves into a house only to find out that the owner's nephew (?), gu wei yi,  is already living there, and the two end up living together. si tu mo is sweet and outgoing, while gu wei yi is quiet and intellectual- SO cute. although the plot seems cliche, the focus is not really on them living together, that's just what brings them together originally, and the main lead isn't the stereotypical "cold and super smart asshole" type, he's actually very sweet. there are a lot of episodes but i would definitely recommend watching this!

like- a korean webdrama that you can find on youtube starring kim yu an, kim kangmin (maybe, maybe not), yoo jungwoo (love after school), and seo ji hye- about a group of students who create a film club to make youtube videos and the dumb shit they get into, plus there's some romance, betrayal, and fuckboys. - so so so so cute honestly. the dynamic between the characters of the club is so cute and funny, plus the love triangle has me wheezing. also the asshole fuckboy gets what he deserves which is super satisfying. it hasn't finished airing yet, but so far it's really cute

failing in love- korean webdrama  you can find on youtube starring son sang yeon (triple fling), yang hye ji, and shin yoon seop- about a group of high schoolers who deal with falling in love, crushes, rejection, etc.- ok so the summary i gave was pretty vague but that's because any more and i'd be exposing the whole plot. there is humor and fluff but also teenage angst, and the characters are all more complex than they first appear. i would highly recommend this show !!!

i have 3 boyfriends- short webdrama you can find on youtube starring kim ji eun, park sungwoo (produce 101 season 2 [that 30 year old dude who danced to rain's song OMG], moon jihoo, and lee jungsik - when la hi gets in a car accident and wakes up with amnesia she finds that she has 3 men all claiming to be her boyfriend.- OK LISTEN . this show is so funny and cute. let me just say: you MUST watch to the end. that's all i'll say. pLS WATCH

last minute romance- two episode drama special starring han seung yeon (age of youth) and lee seo won (the liar and his lover)- when baek se finds out she has terminal cancer and only has a short time to live, she desperately wants to complete her one bucket list item: date her favorite actor. it's then that she meets an aspiring actor who looks exactly like her favorite actor- so cute and very short, so you won't spend ages trying to finish. it is very fluffy, cute, and funny, but has an underlying tone of sadness because the main female lead has cancer and will eventually die. also her best friend is a monk??? the ending is bittersweet but very fitting

want more 19- a short webdrama you can find on youtube starring jung ha joon, sin gi hwan,  jeon yoo rim, nam yoon soo, and lee jungha- a story of 5 friends in high school. A mutual crush, a one-sided love, and a rough patch for sweethearts, all taking place right around the end their senior year- OH GOD i can't breathe this drama is so cute. it had me squealing every single episode, and it's very lighthearted with hardly any angst 

splash splash love- a two episode drama starring kim seulgi (queen of the ring) and highlight's doojoon (radio romance)- right before her ksat, danbi is transported to the past during a freak rain shower and is mistaken for a eunich (which, in korean, is the same word for high school senior) . due to her knowledge of future math, the king enlists her to teach him mathematics and they fall in love- a lowkey parody/remake of the kdrama love in the moonlight but if you added time travel into the mix and took out nearly all the angst. SO cute and funny, and has a happy but open type ending

something about 1 percent (2016)- korean drama starring jeon so min and ha seokjin (drinking solo)- lee jae in is an arrogant company heir, whose wealthy grandfather who decides to grant all his wealth to a kindly elementary school teacher. to only way for anyone else to get the money is for someone to marry her, but they devise a contract that changes it to date for 10 months. although they hate each other at first, they eventually fall in love- this drama is super cute and the kisses are AMAZING. there are crazy exes and all that but the couple's dynamic is super cute and they quickly warm up to each other

triple fling (s1)- a short choose-your-own-ending  korean webdrama on youtube starring jung bomin, son sangyeon (failing in love), themanblk's jeongyou, and themanblk's eom sewoong- lee sehee accidentally becomes friends with the three most popular boys in school and ends up in a love square with them- alright im whipped for stuff like this so naturally i loved it. i also really liked how viewers could choose their own ending as for which boy she chose. there is a second season that i haven't seen yet that focuses on another girl in ANOTHER love square (containing one of the guys from sehee's love square) in which it shows which boy she actually did choose (and it was my favorite so . yay!)

weightlifting fairy kim bok joo- a korean drama starring lee sungkyung (cheese in the trap) and nam joohyuk (who are you: school 2015)- a drama about a female weightlifter who falls in love. persuing the relationship would jeopardize her weightlifting, and focusing on weightlifting would jeopardize her relationship with her crush.  she and her group of friends deal with one-sided crushes, athletic pressure, and self-love.- i watched this drama in full in only two days, and loved it. seriously, it's funny, cute, sad, and just a generally AWESOME drama. plus it takes a lot of cliches and makes fun of them or turns them on their head

when you love yourself (s1)- a short webdrama you can find on youtube starring jung mingyu (sweet revenge 2) and saet byeol . - about a girl who is heavier than her classmates who struggles with self-love and self-acceptance, and along the way finds love- god. i can't even explain how much i loved this drama. the message is wonderful and there's no moment where she glows up and loses weight and then gets the guy's attention or anything: he simply loves her as who she is, no matter what weight she is, and is supportive. there's also an episode that focuses on the queen bee girl who also struggles with weight and self-love and it's just beautiful 

after school: lucky or not (s1)- short drama starring 5urprise: kang tae oh (my first first love), seo kang joon (are you human too), gong myung (drinking solo), lee taehwan (w: two worlds), and yoo il, as well as kim so eun (our gab soon)- when so eun gets an invite to the choose-your-mission club, she meets 5 chaotic guys that she becomes friends with, but there's something they aren't telling her.- yes, there is a lil romance and a love triangle HOHO. ok but seriously this drama is the most crackheadery i've ever seen like. genuinely i was just wheezing so hard every episode because of the dumb sh*t the guys were doing and so eun's reaction. this drama seems dumb and funny at first, but there are emotional moments as well as some angst relating to the love triangle and the origin of the club. please do watch this show !!! (don't recommend season 2, though)

accidentally in love - a chinese drama starring amy sun (the eternal love), fiction guo, and ma li- chen qingqing, who is raised by her grandfather) is arranged to be married, but wants to find love on her own terms. on the day of the wedding, she runs away to the university her parents attended to find out more about their death. to hide from her grandfather, she changes her appearance drastically and enters university. her new deskmate turns out to be singer si tu feng, whom she has already run into and has gotten off on the wrong foot with- so this drama was longer than the ones i usually watch but it was worth it. it was cute and they didn't drag out the couple not getting together for ages like some dramas tend to do. the romance was super cute and the female lead's undeterred determination to march to her own drummer was amusing. the only thing i didn't like is that they didnt give the side couple enough screentime bc they were super cute too

my woofy poofy love / my dog-like dating- a short korean webdrama you can find on youtube starring chae ji an and kim do hoon (your imagination becomes reality)- a girl who has recently been cruelly dumped by her boyfriend brings a stray dog back to her home and wakes up to find that instead of a dog, there is a man! she happens to be looking for a roommate, and so this man (who can turn into a dog) becomes her new housemate- literally adorable. female lead is stunning and the relationship is so cute and fluffy and innocent, but the kiss is steamy as hell. 

unrequited love (2019)- a chinese drama starring zhu yan man zi and zhao shun ran- a story of a girl who has secretly loved the same boy for 10 years, but he doesn't know she exists, until one day when they meet in college. so begins their love story, but things become more complicated because of other people- ok so like . damn i love this couple. this drama is really cute but has its fair share of angst, so don't expect an easy ride the whole way through. very cute though !!_ MORE DRAMA RECS _

a love so beautiful- a chinese drama starring shen yue (meteor garden) and hu yi tuan- chen xiaoxi has liked her neighbor jiangchen onesidedly for years, and continues to like him despite his seeming disinterest. but her determination and bubbly personality, as well as a romantic threat starts to cause him to fall for her- aight so . i feel like this drama was dragged out a little bit longer than necessary and then the ending was slightly rushed but!! it WAS a great and super cute drama

ok to be sensitive (s1)- a webdrama you can find on youtube starring kim da ye and kim youngdae (extraordinary you) and others im too lazy to put- focuses on feminist issues like sexism and sexual harassment in a college setting, which each episode focusing on one particular incident and the characters dealing with it- listen so like . this show had me emotional at some points bc of how amazing the message was. it dealt with sexual harassment, sexism, how females are expected to act, stalking, pressure to have sex... etc and basically every episode was like . you can stand up for yourself. you don’t have to “take it” just bc you’re a female, etc. also there was really cute romance uwu

ok to be sensitive (s2)- season 2 of otbs, also can be found on youtube, starring yoo hye in and lee shin young, as well as others but again im too lazy to list them all- same thing as season 1, but a different cast of main characters, and set in an office workplace. (original cast makes a cameo at the end)- the issues in season 2 were definitely a bit darker because it was set in a work place, where the main characters were worried about getting fired if they stood up for themselves, but the way things were handled was really admirable imo. also the male lead in this one is ABSOLUTELY adorable

go back diary- a 4 episode webdrama you can find on youtube starring kim ye ji and lee jong won (jaemin’s webdrama how to hate you)- about a boy who sees a girl at a karaoke bar (?) and instantly develops a crush on her. she then transfers to his school, and it tells the story of their love story after 10 years.- i’ll just say it right now. the whole drama was adorable except for the ending, which fucking sucked. literally was horrible. boycott episode 4 pls i was SO UPSET. otherwise, great webdrama

before we get married- taiwanese drama starring puff guo (just you; we got married w/ suju’s heechul) and jasper liu- tells the story of two people who already have partners and are planning to marry them, only to meet each other and fall in love- bro this show had so much angst i couldn’t even breathe lmfao. but the romantic scenes between the two leads were S T E A M Y let me TELL you. 

love after school (s1)- korean webdrama that can be found on youtube starring park so eun and yoo jungwoo (like)- about a couple who fell in love in high school and their story, told from 5 years later when they meet again- i love love love this bitch. LOVE. season 2 ... we won’t speak of her lol. but season 1 is super cute and the ???? kiss at the end(ish)??? DEAD. literally anything with yoo jungwoo will destroy me but omg. it was fantastic

lucky romance- a korean drama starring hwang jung eum (she was pretty) and ryu joon yeol (reply 1988) - about a woman who believes wholeheartedly in superstitions meeting a man who believes only in science and mathematics, and their very chaotic love story- this show was so funny tbh. the main couple’s dynamic was HILARIOUS and even though they were literally complete opposites they worked so well together. warning: towards the end there’s that whole ‘i have to be noble and let you go bc its for the best’ bullshit but!!! there is a happy ending 

maybe, maybe not- a webdrama starring kim kangmin (like) and gong yoorim- a girl who can read minds and is an outside bc she knows what everyone is really thinking meets a guy that she can’t read the mind of- so fluffy. so cute. oh god. pls watch it’s so soft and cute 

my first first love- a korean drama starring jisoo (strong woman dbs), dia’s chaeyeon (drinking solo), and b1a4′s jinyoung (love in the moonlight)- about a group of friends who all, due to various circumstances, move into their friend tae oh’s house, and find love along the way.- idk why netflix did that dumbass thing where they did mffl 1 and mffl 2 but they’re the same show, just eps 1-8 then 8-16. anyways !! very cute show!! jisoo is fine as hell. taeoh and the rich girl are cute together. i found the ending abrupt and unsatisfying, but overall a good show

thumping spike (s1)- a korean drama starring hwang seung eon (part-time idol) and song jae rim (our gab soon) - about a volleyball team and their coach who are aiming for success, and a female professional volleyball player who becomes their athletic mentor- i know it doesnt sound super romantic but trust me. there is lots of romance, and even a love triangle hehe

u-prince: the single lawyer- a thai drama apart of the u-prince series starring august vachiravit paisarnkulwong and apple lapisara intarasu- firstclass is a straight a student who is strict about punctuality and properness, while minute is a spoiled rich girl who loses all her luxuries when her family files for bankruptcy. she begins “going out” with her gay best friend, aka firstclass’ brother, for money and ends up living in their house, but she and firstclass hate each other- listen all the u prince dramas are cringy and low quality but does it look like a give a shit . NO BC I KEEP WATCHING THEM . they’re cute ok . anyways this was my favorite one so this is the one im recommending yeehaw

unexpected heroes- a short korean drama sponsored by the CDC organ transplant management center, starring btob’s minhyuk, ioi’s sohye, and choi jonghoon- about three high school students who discover that, after their respective organ transplants, they have supernatural powers- though there’s not much focus on romance in this drama, it’s still funny and cute. plus minhyuk is in it and what more can you ask for ?? lol. anyways the trio uses their powers to help solve crimes n stuff it’s gr8 and ive been waiting for a season 2 for 98429834 years

what to do with you- a korean webdrama - that is actually literally an ad for a facemask - starring lee hayoung and kim youngdae (extraordinary you)- saerom and geun are friends, but it feels like they’re something more. will they ever take the next step?- yeah this webdrama is super cute and that’s really all lol. also the bitchy girl in love after school is the best friend in this one oho

your imagination becomes reality- a webdrama that can be found on youtube starring oh se young, kim dohoon (my woofy poofy love), and jin ho eun- soram has a crush on a mysterious upperclassman, and wishes to see him again: she does, soon after. each time she makes a wish, it seems to magically come true. - yeah so like . it’s not a supernatural thing or anything, it’s just a cute college romance that’s basically every girl with a crush’s dream lol~!

all righty, I’m not gonna lie here, I have actually… never read any SJM books. Haha, never. I don’t plan on doing it eventhough they sound really fun, but right now I’m trying to gravitate towards a little more… I dunno, quality literature, if you will? This sounds so hypocritical and snob ehhh especially from my Cruel Prince fanblog but asdhjkjss don’t judGE

ok for the list I went on goodreads and looked at my read book list and picked out the best ones, but I honestly can’t really rank them, they are all great so the numbers don’t really matter, but they are quite different in genre, most of them are not even YA, so bear that in mind

1. Game of Thrones series by George R. R. Martin - hahaha GoT is amazing its kinda brutal and its a heavy read, but it’s really worth it. I love the way GRRM builds plot and characters, it’s just so unique and very different from everything I’ve read before. The characters are just so real, and they all have their own background stories and motivations, and you literally have no fucking idea what’s going to happen, it’s so unpredictable I can’t handle it. Warning, it’s likely that your fave character is gonna die, prepare yourself. I haven’t seen the tv show but honestly the book is really really great. It’s one of the best series I have ever read. BUT if you can’t stand visual violence, rape, insides getting, um outside, well I wouldn’t recommend it then. Because there’s a whooole lot of that.

2. HaRRy Pottah by J. K. Rowling - do I even have to explain. HP isn’t just a book, it’s a fucking life changing magical journey that every child should go through, so if you haven’t yet, shut up and go read it. For real. Go, turn off your computer and start reading.

3. Nutshell by Ian McEwan - now this is a really interesting short novel. The thing that makes it fascinating is that it’s narrated by a baby. Who’s still in the womb. And it’s actually a Hamlet retelling, where the pregnant mother is having an affair with the father’s brother, and you know, the baby knows about it. And when mommy and the brother lover conspire to kill the father the baby can do basically nothing about it so it’s about the child’s inner dialogue and some deep philosophical thoughts while his mother and uncle commit the murder and how the baby tries to sabotage them. It’s not YA for sure, so if you want steamy romances or a sexy protagonist, this is not your book, but I really loved it and it’s just such an intellectual book with some nice Shakespeare and modern political references and honestly just reading the dumbass shit that Claude (the uncle, parallel to Claudius) says was so goddamn funny. There is some sex and swearing in it. And like, after reading it I felt like such a highly educated person, eventhough I’ve never read original Hamlet haha.

4. Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - dystopian post-apocalyptic novel, with some teenagers slaughtering each other, a cool protagonist with badass hunting skills, love triangle, rebellion, etc. Probably most of you have heard of it (if not already read it), it’s quite good, especially the first one, I personally wasn’t a big fan of 2nd&3rd, but it’s prob because I don’t like rebellions/civil wars for some reason? it’s good though!!

5. Angelfall trilogy by Susan Ee - ohohohh anGELS!! I used to be fucking obsessed with angels and demons (#FuckMeLucifer) and I’ve read every angel-themed YA book I could find, and this one was probably the most well-written. It’s set in a post-apocalyptic America (haven’t heard of that before) where angels are terrorizing humans and basically treat them like shit and this girl Penryn, her lil sister gets kidnapped by the angels, but in the fight this one handsome angel gets injured, they cut off his wings and she kidnaps him to her place and I think forces him to help her get her sister back (?) Turns out its Rafael the powerful archangel and of course he is hot as hell, so yeah its been a while since I’ve read it but I remember liking it, so if you’re into angels and some post-apocalyptic chaotic setting on top, you’ll probably like it

6. Mistress of Rome by Kate Quinn - so this one’s mainly about a Jewish slave in the Ancient Roman Empire and a lot of stuff happens to her and she ends up being the mistress of the crazy emperor Domitianus who tortures her and it’s basically following the life of all these different people with different social statuses in Rome, (slaves, gladiators, senators, wealthy wives, emperors, etc.) and it’s really interesting how the relationships are forming between them and the best part is that its historically aCCuRate! ! ! So if you’re into Ancient Romans, this is a good one. Trigger warning for sex, rape, emotional and physical violence. ;)

7. And then there were none by Agatha Christie - this is some nerve wrecking emotional shit, about a group of complete strangers invited into this island manor where they are slowly getting murdered one by one by this psychopath whose identity is… unknown. The murderer is one of them, and is playing this scary, childish, psychological game with the others, but i literally had no fucking idea who the (s)he is until the last few pages, and i couldn’t sleep for a few nights after reading it.

8. Jane and the Man of the Cloth by Stephanie Barron - so this is about Jane Austen, eventhough it’s not written by her, but it’s based on her actual diary and true historical events, so it’s pretty much an accurate description of that period of her life. I guess I would call it a historical murder-mystery because she solves a case that happened in the town she spent her holiday in, but the focus is not really on the ‘thrilling mystery’ part, but rather on the historical background (British-French conflict), social links between people, and yeah just gives you a nice little glimpse into her world. The book is part of a series but this one’s probably my fave bc Jane has this thing going on between her and this handsome mysterious man and a fucking loooved it!!

9. Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor by Stephanie Barron - this is part of the same series, i think it’s the first one, but you can read them in any order, and it deals with a similar murder case as the other one and hahaha it has another mysterious, kinda rude gentleman who has a little thing with Jane and in the end it doesn’t work out (Jane never married btw) but i’m a slut for those little moments and historical books are amazing so if u like history, or Jane, or that 1700-1800 era then go ReAd iT!

10. ummm i can’t think of anything else that i really enjoyed right now, so that’s it for the list. if any of you have any recommendations (especially if it’s something historical) pls let me know!!

hello hello !! iʻm just gonna preface by saying that you should probably read kacchanʻs intro for luca first for a little more context because these two are related !! they actually cover the whole event over there but........

to sum up, ridley grew up on a big ʻole farm with a big ʻole family. he had a twin sister with whom he was always very close with. together, they learned magic from their father and wizard that was a family friend. when he was thirteen, shit hit the fan. in order to protect him and his sister, his father sent them through a portal with an endpoint that wasnʻt known to anyone and………..

he ended up on the outskirts of the city. not exactly the best place for an unaccompanied thirteen year old whoʻd never been too far from the countryside before.

through the jump, he somehow got separated from his sister. he doesnʻt know if that was a condition that his father put into the portal or if something happened mid-trip, but suddenly he was alone for the first time in his life.

 he was never really good with the transporting aspect of magic like his pops was, and there was a sinking feeling in his stomach telling him that there was no way he was getting back home anytime soon unless his father found him.

he waited for weeks -- months, really, but who was counting ?? he was. -- for his pops to figure something. or for his sister to find him. then he tried to figure something out himself. see, the main problem was that he was thousands of miles from being anywhere close to back home and he had zero ways of getting there. this was DEVASTATING to him.

so, he gave up. not really. he always carried a determination to search for them. but for the time being, he wasnʻt really focusing on getting home. he just...adapted. that was always what he did best with the magic that he got from his dad and then wizard: changing to fit the environment best.

he took up odd jobs around downtown. mostly house maintenance and chores that people didnʻt want to call professionals for. he eventually tried his best to bounce around, taking jobs at places that lasted a little longer and, since he was essentially homeless, whose owners let him stay there through the entirety. he took up as many as he could so he would never have time to himself to think about things.

eventually, he made his way to some of the nicer parts of town and stumbled upon a horse stable. it was one of those nice ones where rich people kept their horses for jumping or for races. they just so happened to need an experienced stable-hand.

ridley got the job and having grown up around horses, managed to prove himself enough that they kept him long-term. they set him up with a little trailer near the stables so he could be close enough the horses when they needed him.

eventually, he got a himself a part-time job also working as a busboy ( because i forgot i put busboy on the app before i thought of this stablehand thing ) and earned enough money to buy himself a shitty little laptop so he could finish his schooling.

now, heʻs doing college online and gonna try and become a vet !! he might focus primarily on the equine but for now, itʻs just a general course.

power-wise, he !! is a magic cowboy !! he was getting lessons in magic from both his father and the wizard that lived with them, which were obviously cut short when they got separated. before that, however, he became very adept in defensive magic. this is what he honed throughout the years and is his main specialty.

he calls it reactive evolution because thatʻs essentially all he does. he gets placed in a situation and changes himself in order to survive best. for example, if you were to throw him underwater, heʻd grow gills and webbing between his fingers and toes. if you were to shoot at him, suddenly heʻd be made of steel.

living on his own in the city helped hone that skill more than anything. he made out very well on the streets specifically because of his skill set. anything that happened to him, he was able to keep himself long enough to safely get away.

so !! that’s it !! he’s a poor cowboy with a GED trying to work through online college and working as much as he can with his very limited resources to find his missing family.

heʻs very hard working. heʻs the type of person that enjoys doing manual labor. like, he genuinely likes lifting hay bales and doing maintenance so heʻs always looking for anything he can get his hands on and fix. he tends to get a little stir crazy if heʻs not doing something productive.

he fucking loves animals. this mans adores any and all animals. heʻs partial to horses but he will fall in love with any type of non-human creature. if you want to be his friend, just say you have a pet cat or something.

heʻs literally the loneliest little bean. this is a mans who was part of a matching set for most of his formative years and then had that ripped away from him very abruptly. he misses his family so much but after nearly a decade, heʻs gotten better at hiding it. this is probably why he imprints on animals so much
