I made this post the other day about Eddie being jealous that Hopper is spending time with Steve and I just love the thought of Eddie looking at Steve with his fucked up face, and his concussions, and his clearly broken ribs open mouth breathing because his nose is broken too, and just being like. Why is no one paying attention to me?

Harrington walks like he’s about to drop fucking dead but how dare the cop that constantly threatens to throw me in jail not threaten to throw me in jail! Harrington’s reacting speed is ten percent slower than he usually does, but Hopper should not care!

He should care about Eddie and his double park job. He should care about the pre-rolled joint he has in his pocket specifically rolled for Hopper to steal.

Because yeah, Eddie cares about his friends and he cares about Wayne, but he’s also an only child. And an outcast. He’s never had to share anything that he didn’t want to…and he doesn’t want to share Hopper.

I don't know if I'll ever finish it, but occasionally, I am reminded that I started writing crackfic based on a dream I had after playing too much Garden Life and also reading too many Nightwing comics, and I'll open up the document and laugh myself sick at how awful a time Slade Wilson is having in my haunted flower shop AU.

He's been ripped body and soul out of his genre and into a cozy Hallmark movie with undercurrents of cosmic horror, and there's nothing he can do about it. Worst of all, the human he kidnapped is unkillable. At least by him.

Slade took a menacing step forward, then stopped dead in his tracks, unable to move another inch. "The fuck."

He looked down at his boots, struggling to uproot them from the dirt-strewn floor. When that failed, he gave up and took a desperate swing across the shop counter. The little witch didn't even flinch. She didn't need to. The same invisible force wrapped around his arm, holding it in place as he strained his outstretched hand toward her neck.

"What the fuck did you do?" he demanded, arm shaking as sweat began to bead down his brow.

"Me?" she asked, far too innocently, like butter wouldn't melt in that smug, annoying mouth. "Bless your heart, dearie, that's not me. That's the plot armor."

"Plot what?"

"Armor," she repeated slowly for him. "I know you're familiar with the word. I've seen that discounted Spirit Halloween ensemble you call a costume."

Slade snarled, renewing his efforts to crush her windpipe. "I know the word. What does it mean?"

"It means I'm protected. The story can't advance without me, so you're stuck with me." She smiled sweetly. "Lucky you."

"Story? What story? What the fuck are you talking about?"

"This one," she said, gesturing around them as though that explained anything. "The one we're in. The one you pulled me into. The one I can't leave until you figure out whatever the fuck you're supposed to be doing. So if you could hurry up and do that, that'd be great. I've got shit to do, and it doesn't involve holding your hand through whatever bullshit character arc crisis you're going through."

"Lady," Slade breathed out through gritted teeth, "you are fucking insane."

"Oh, sweety," she drawled, leaning across the counter and causing his arm to draw back of its own volition, not allowing him to get a hold of her throat, as she patted him condescendingly on the cheek. Clearly, whatever bullshit proximity magic she was pulling didn't apply to her ability to touch him. "You don't know the half of it."

Okay literally no one asked but as a former Hobbit movie hater who has since experienced character growth, I feel compelled to share my thoughts on the movies on my gay little blog.

Listen. There are legit reasons to be critical of these movies. They were made on a rushed timeline, at time where CGI overuse was the thing and there are definitely unnecessary moments. But despite those issues, these movies still have a lot of heart and character and some really wonderful acting! To compare them to LOTR, is unfair I think because LOTR was such an unimaginable success and I truly believe no other movie franchise can do what those movies did. To expect the Hobbit movies to be the same caliber considering the behind the scenes drama and massive difference in timeline is just not it.

Truly I think that the Hobbit could have been much more than it was and it’s sad to see the amazing moments and realize that we could have had movies that were maybe closer to the level of LOTR, but that doesn’t take away from all of the great things that the movies gave us! Despite what he may be like irl, Martin Freeman was a great young Bilbo, Richard Armitage was insanely good as Thorin (despite the change in age) and the other dwarf actors brought a great sense of loyalty, brotherhood and shared loss to their roles. The music is still dope as hell and there are some beautiful shots despite all the CGI.

This is way too long and I’ve not said anything that hasn’t been said before but honestly, I’m so glad that I stopped hating on these movies and have seen the special things about them. Nothing will ever compare to LOTR, but that doesn’t make these movies bad. They’re fun, they’re emotional, they have great characterization and it’s super valid to enjoy them.

Final gay thoughts because I’m obligated, but I struggle with people who argue against Bagginshield with the whole “why does everyone have to make everything gay?” thing. Because Hollywood is so deeply homophobic that we see so little genuine queer representation, so forgive us for enjoying the chemistry we find and making it our own since our society gives us breadcrumbs. If you’re not into Bagginshield, totally legit and fine, but don’t hate on other people (especially queer people) trying to find some romantic love in media that we enjoy. Also no one can convince me that Richard Armitage wasn’t at least somewhat intentionally putting his queer energy into this role, I will die on this hill.

Anyway, TL;DR there’s no shame in liking or loving the Hobbit movies despite their faults and there are lots of things to appreciate and enjoy and I for one, am glad to leave my LOTR purist hater days behind me

some "fans": Selectively hating and demonizing every character that isn't their fav over those bad things. Willfully misinterpreting narrative details to paint those characters as negatively as possible to support a bad-faith argument. Fully dismissing obvious underlying reasons for the bad things with 0 sympathy. And denying that any of the characters' goodness ever existed or can still exist and be nurtured again after having done bad things.

Scoria and Sakura are best friends! It's so cute when I see the things they do together, and it makes me so beyond happy that they both came to live with me so that they could share their lives with each other. They absolutely insist on it, and does so much good for the other.

I can't imagine how else they could have found happiness if things hadn't worked out exactly as they did. Scoria has basically been Sakura's "emotional support snake" while she worked through things from her past I'll never fully know that caused her a lot of issues with panic and fear. Sakura knows this too, and looks out for her sister, the only one she truly trusts and feels completely safe with.

The moment they wake up they both want each other to snuggle and play with. Scoria loves to be affectionate with both me and her sister who seems to have not had this earlier in her life- but Scoria is showing her how nice it is not only directly but demonstrating with me and Sakura also trying, copying what she has seen her sister do.

Sometimes when one goes to check on the other they'll join in on... I'm not even sure what they were doing. But they had a good time while taking a mandated union break from digging tunnels for the isopods.

So happy I get to share in the adventures of these two best friends! It makes me so happy to see them living their best lives together, and being beyond content snuggled together with their found family.

This'll be my last offical post for Arcane, cause I really need to get this off my chest, the next time people say that Cait never apologized

for her actions, I'm going to show them these two frames, I've never seen a more "damn I really fucked up" look in my entire life, God I swear some people just watch this show scrolling through tiktok. I'm honestly over trying to debate these people and argue that Cait did deserve redemption and earned Vi's trust back because she could've literally single-handedly saved Piltover and Zaun, die in the process, and chock out "I'm sorry" as her final words and these people will still find a way to hate her and this ship, I'm not attacking these people, and I'm also not attacking those with valid complaints and can explain them, I'm attacking the people who obviously watched the show with a pre-concived bias against Caitlyn because she's a cop and she had a semi-dictator arc. So after my third watch through of the series here are my final takes.

What Cait did was wrong but was understandable because she had gone through so much in so little time, not to mention was being psychologically manipulated the entire time.

No, that sex scene was not forced and was a major turning point for the show because it completed Cait's redemption arc and Vi's "need to let Powder go" arc.

Vi's role in this season, at least for Caitlyn, was to remind Cait who she was shooting for, which is why Cait buckles when Vi comes back to her life, she tried for so long to stay away from Vi because that's what she thought she needed, because if she saw Vi again she knew she'd crack.

No, the final scene should not be taken as some sort of statement about class and is just Vi's awkward way of saying "I'm with you cupcake, even after everything"

I can't believe how toxic this fandom has become, even with people who will agree with this post, it's insane man, I just hope this fandom calms down because both sides are driving me to start day drinking and that's not an exaggeration.
