+++Concerning my disappearance+++

I don't know why am I doing this, maybe because I haven't outgrown my chuunibyou phase.

Some of you may know that before I disappeared I was anxious about actually being trans and medically transitioning.

What I have concluded is that I actually don't have dysphoria. I have preferences that I haven't changed even since I had another mental breakdown in November, when I completely ghosted everyone, but they are not innate or constant. Rather they are purely psychological and connected to experience and ego.

On top of this, my OCD intensified tenfold, so I am not sure that I have any kind of identity anymore.

And on top of this, when I was shocked by detransition I... I don't know why I did this, maybe I was coping or just because I am ultimately immature, but for a month or so I played pretend with crafting myself an image of like byronic hero like Dorian Gray, and the result was so profoundly disgusting that I still feel tainted 8 months later.

All of this sum up to me really not being trans.

And then, with this experience, I started questioning politics of trans identity, and came to conclusion that it's politically unsound. Not because it's a conspiracy - people who today identify as transgender existed always and I have studied accounts of them that sound very familiar, and they don't want to destroy everything that's good, they just live their lives. But trans movement is a misogynistic and homophobic entity that has to be destroyed in favour of something that accommodates trans people while not harming more vulnerable people.

Yes, I have become a TERF ally (oh irony). I have a radfem sideblog where I still pretend to be a girl, like a pathetic liar I am*. I am still pretty protective of trans people generally and trans women specifically because I know you and love you and still have transfem online friends, but I can no longer support trans movement as it exists today.

Radblr is not a particularly good place, not going to lie - Imane Khelif situation was so gross that I considered leaving (at least blogs I follow all were on her side), and other kinds of gross prejudices exist. But also someone has to actually care about well-being of women, and beggars are not choosers, because all other gender critical groups don't do it out of any genuine concern.

I don't wish ill on trans people and in fact I am using other sideblogs to create an alternative movement that reconciles interests of trans people, cis women, and cis gay people. And since I know all of you as good and empathetic people, I hope that you soon will realize my vision (and I don't mean detransition - you don't have to stop being yourself for common good). But it's up to you to decide how to feel about me.

In my search for more Magical Girl content, I have stumbled across a peculiar series titled Jisatsu Shoujo/Suicide Girl.

I’ve only saw pictures of it online, but I couldn’t research it because it deals with quite the sensitive topic, and I’d be greeted with a suicide prevention hotline as a result. But thanks to @lesser-vissir​, a random blogger I’ve briefly talked to, I’ve managed to get a link to read this manga and share my own conclusions (I’m five chapters in, and this is... surprisingly good?!)

Suicide Girl is about an energetic and adorable highschool girl eagerly wanting to commit suicide, after a horrible tragedy in her life. It’s later revealed that all this eagerness to end her own life was all a façade, and that she really fears death more than anything, and this prompts her into becoming a Suicide Girl with moniker of the Hanging Maiden, thus fighting against the Phobia, unseen nightmarish beasts that drive others to off themselves.

And OH BOY, this series does not fuck around, I’ll tell you that!

Its art style is so dynamic and unique and it ain’t afraid of being unsettling and disgusting! The MC looks like an absolute menace, acting all recklessly and going guns ablazing, and it adds up to the dark humor energy! The heroines fight like they are in a Shounen and got creative gimmicks and badass attack names! And there are occasional references to the philosophies/works of Nietzsche and Goethe (such as the Abyss quote and The Sorrows of Young Werther)!

Unfortunately, there’s fanservice between the heroines in there, but I’m willing to let it slide this time because these chicks got their crazy traumas and abandonment issues... when you guys read, you’ll see what I mean.

I was sincerely ready to hate this manga, but it turns out that it’s just so captivating and fresh, I’m actually willing to give it a chance and keep going!

Plus, the puns and wordplay. I love those.

Yes he is a Katrina survivor that's the reason he is severely disabled, which don't get wrong it's terrible and no individual person deserves that no matter how terrible. But it is still fucked how he is using a term made specifically for victims of either natural or imperialist made disasters outside the imperial periphery in a scale that leaves them with absolute nothing, forced to escape their home countries to never return. He using that term when Katrina was a statetal disaster due to terrible internal politics, where he still lives on the USA and the big tragedy was moving out to another state and going from "middle class" to poor but this a white USA citizen, does fall on racism.

More than [intentional/conscious] racism however, the fact that he appropiates the climate refugee label is also a result of chauvisism and usamerican exceptionalism. He was a little child when he and his family went through it, it's very likely that until that point in his life he either didn't know "normal" people like him could go through something as horrific, or at most he heard of things like that only happening to "foregeins", so when the USA goverment failed completely to protect and help it's own citizens and he and his family where victims personally, from that point on and specially after the economic, mental and physical trauma he realised that he must be as opressed and in need as people affected by imperialism. Specially when you consider that in common yankee culture Katrina is in a similar level of terrible catastrophe against the usamerican people (the true people with lifes and souls and importance/s) as say 9/11, the earlier has as much of a propaganda use as the later.

That's a really good analysis of his whole situation. Like, I do sympathize with his condition as someone who is also physically disabled (not as severely thanks to my surgery but still), but it's not an excuse to be a massive chauvinist about his experiences and appropriate terms not meant for use by people born in the imperial core.

In a certain way I don’t really like the term compulsory heterosexuality because it can mislead people into thinking anyone who’s not straight can be affected by it when in reality it’s something that affects mostly women and other people who suffer misogyny.

It’s an intersection between heteronormativity and misogyny that men do not experience.

As someone who had abusive American parents who also excessively monitored my internet access, OP has the correct take and @lesser-vissir is insane.

Expecting the internet to be nice is how you get kids groomed on discord and/or falling into weirdo alpha-male rabbitholes. The internet is not "your community", the internet is a bunch of anonymous people all across the world who will suffer 0 consequences if one random child ends up traumatized, groomed, or manipulated. The community that's raising the child are their classmates, teachers, family, and friends that all live nearby, people who can be held accountable.

Having more access to the internet would not have stopped my parents from being abusive and wouldn't have made me "more free". I just would have had more chances to get abused by adults that weren't my parents. Even if your parents are bad, it doesn't make the internet a safe haven.

truly insane and despicable that current year's answer to internet child safety is just "let them free roam unsurprised wherever they please and expect everyone else on the internet to moderate the web for them." an entire generation after seeing what that kind of unlimited access does to kids. mind boggling.

lets not have a mid off between these two fuckass countries who love exploiting their working class. im not suggesting the US has good labour laws my post was simply relaying what ive seen chinese ppl in china say and comment in the past week and i dont think they genuinely believe americans workers have it much better than they do either because theyre not stupid. And whether or not american workers get christmas off is not the point the video couldve just as easily been about british workers or swedish workers its just a comedic way to express their frustration at this new policy but more importantly their frustration at not being able to resist this policy in any way that the law even pretends to protect (protests, striking, etc). They envy that western workers can push back against infringements on important cultural holidays in ways that chinese workers objectively cannot (including something as simple as going online and telling their president to go die for taking their day off. Which i think should be a human right). and why shouldnt chinese workers look at western countries, esp european ones, who live comfortably in the spoils of colonialism and materially have better worker protection and want that for themselves?? Why shouldnt chinese 996 white collar workers be upset when they see a german worker with the same job get paid 50x more for less hours. And why shouldnt chinese blue collar workers want a working OSHA equivalent and strict construction policies with mandated insurance and liens to protect their safety and pay. And in terms of this specific policy of removing chinese new years eve as a holiday the govt DOESNT mandate holiday pay and just "encourages" companies to give holiday pay which chinese ppl know is an invitation for their bosses to exploit them for that extra day. which is a main point of anger. And also Christmas is a bank holiday in most western countries white collar workers definitely get the day off. maybe not service workers but neither do chinese service workers during Chinese new years or their labour day. I dont think ppl should overly vilify the chinese govt but dont swing too hard the other way either the chinese govt doesnt care any more or less about their working class than the US govt cares about the american working class. and i think it could be dangerous to believe that chinese workers are better protected than they actually are the whole point of this is worker solidarity and realizing we're not that different its not an oppression olympic.

Chinese ppl are also saying that american unions would never let the govt take away their workers holidays... the fact that chinese workers are looking at american unions in envy bc they feel that even AMERICAN unions do more for workers than their unions is soooo depressing like i dont think ppl realize how deeply capitalist china is in everything but name they are just as capitalist as everyone else but with even worse worker protections the function of most chinese unions now is just so they can embezzle money and prevent actual unions from forming bc they can say well you already have one 🤷‍♀️ its fucked workers of the world are really all in this tgt

Tumblr 200-Word RPGs 2023

Last November, we did an informal game jam for folks who wanted to write something for Writing Month, but would prefer to write fewer than fifty thousand words of it. You can find the complete list of participants for that event in this post here. There's also an off-Tumblr archive of entries whose authors gave permission for them to be preserved here, if any of those links turn out to be broken.

Last year's collaboration went over well enough that I thought we might dust it off again this year. To be clear, this is just for fun – it's not a curated jam, and nobody's judging winners or handing out prizes..

If you'd like to throw your hat in, just follow these steps:

Step 1: If you're unfamiliar with 200-word RPGs, read a bunch of last year's entries (linked above) or browse the 200 Word RPG Challege archives at https://200wordrpg.github.io/ to get your brain-meats properly configured.

Step 2: Write your own 200-word RPG. If you're not sure whether you have 200 words or not (and with RPGs it can genuinely be difficult to tell!), you can use the word counter at https://200wordrpg.github.io/wordcount to check.

Step 3: Reblog this post and append your 200-word RPG.

Step 4 (optional): Please indicate in your post whether you're okay with having your 200-word RPG archived off-site for posterity – if you don't say anything one way or the other, I'll assume the answer is "no".
