s1 doctor who (2005) is so special to me. they had the budget of a potato. a dustbin eats a guy and burps in the pilot. it only really picks up around ep 5. nine in his jacket. rose in her peak dumbass era. the special effects that are just so bad so awful so terrible. the introduction of captain jack harkness the world was never the same. are you my mummy? what do you mean the time lords are dead doctor what the fuck do you mean you killed them all. bad wolf? bad wolf? fucking iconic.

people are pushing against the overly ~wholesome~ fandom culture of the 2010s but they're going too hard and swinging in the opposite direction. now for something to be considered *good* it has to be Dark and Edgy and Complicated and Toxic. and ppl feel the need to justify their liking something with "no it's actually like suuuper dark".

today i found a plant growing in an alleyway downtown that gave me this delightful little seed pod that looks like a little banana about an inch long but it splits down the front to reveal hundreds of flat little seeds with little papery wings seed wings and theyre all stuffed into neat rows in a way that makes the pod look like an overfull expanding file and if you run your finger over it seeds fall out. the plant had like 6 of them going overhanging this one sidewalk and some of them were huge, like multiple inches long. anyway plants are still just making stuff outside it seems
