I think Chopper uses they/he/it, but slightly prefers to be referred to by their name rather than pronouns

Chopper has attachment issues, but I couldn’t find anything other than avoidant attachment disorder (which doesn’t seem entirely fitting). But it definitely gets very attached to others when it trusts them and has a hard time moving on.

Also I just like to draw Chopper more reindeer-like than Chopper’s canon design but aside from that I don’t really make too many design changes? Just… floofy Chopper… 🩷🩷🩷

I was actually thinking about this when making the "opinion on different OP ships" thing! Because I was like "mmm Sanuso is my OTP but also Namivivi and tbh that's just a polycule bc I ship Nami with these two too... And Kaya needs to be there...". And now I can't stop thinking also about Namivivi x Kaya--

I mean. Nami x Kaya is just amazing and OPLA gave us SO much content I wasn't expecting but gladly accepted as canon. Because they're both from pretty different environments when it comes to money and social upbringings but they both lost their families. Nami finds comfort in money while Kaya sees it pointless if you don't have anybody to share it with. It gives both of them different perspectives of the world around them and I think their dynamic is sooo well done. Kaya is the sweetest but she fights for herself when she can and Nami might run away from danger but she will never leave alone somebody in need of help. Also, they're both pretty motherly and attached to kids and idk I think their relationship would work SO well. Adding Kaya to the Sanusona polycule is the best thing ever to me.

And Vivi x Kaya!!!!! I wasn't thinking about it until I made the post but now that I do I can't,,,, Stop picturing them,,,, They're like "yeah this is my girlfriend's girlfriend" but they'd end up getting along SO well. Once again I think they'd be so cute together and they'd support each other so much. Vivi would understand that your position/money doesn't make you who you are and Kaya would admire Vivi's strength and her story. Also, all of them here understand the loss of parents but I think that being a public figure makes the experience even worse because it comes with responsibility others besides Vivi and Kaya won't understand. Vivi is the princess who managed to travel and become a pirate for a while and see the world and I think Kaya (even if she is happy in her village and doesn't need anything else) would want a bit of that freedom too!

For now, this is like, my favorite ship, I think? But tbh it just goes attached to the whole East Blue polycule just... A bit different than how other people ship them? Usopp and Kaya are already dating when the story starts, then Sanuso and Namivivi happen separately, I like to think Usonami have something going on but it doesn't happen anything until WCI when Nami realizes her feelings for Sanji, and then when they come back, Kaya has like. 1. Clarke/Lexa (The 100) - Unfortunately a victim of bury yours gays but first time for me seeing a Sapphic ship and I was like "girls....kissing girls?! Interesting this means nothing to me." (<- liar)

2. Emma/Regina (Once Upon a Time) - Same as before, just one of the earliest f/f ships for me

3. Korra/Asami (TLOK) - Didn't get why this was canon when I first watched it (I had yet to have some Realizations lmao), rewatched it at some point and was like Oh. oooohhhhh

4. Nobara/Maki (JJK) - Nobara is the lesbian of all time omg....the way she talks about Maki and appreciates her SO much. Maki so clearly appreciating her company and her support (but also maybe doesn't even know how much Nobara is so Ready to Fight anyone). They keep getting put on dates in official art....I know what they are....

5. Nami/Vivi (One Piece) - It has been...twenty one years (of irl time) since these two were separated...when they're reunited (which seems like it could hopefully be soon) it's gonna be the biggest Yuri event in the world (to me). LOVE them so much the way they looked out for each other throughout everything and Vivi recognizing Nami's strengths and Nami even though she's scared of fighting getting hurt because she loves Vivi SO much. Girls of all time.

6. Ymir/Historia (AOT) - I've had my issues with AOT so I don't end up talking about it a lot, but this is hands down the best ship. Historia was my fave character and they were IT to each other and the final letter Ymir sends to her is top five most devastating moments in the whole series. Love some tragic lesbians.

7. Hinako/Asashi (Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon) - Read a lot of published yuri at one point and this one was a standout. Hinako struggles with comphet, anxiety, trying to meet people's expectations of her, and is also good ace rep! The two of them start out as friends and Hinako coming to accept herself is sooo good, probably some of the best canon rep I've read (need an anime for this asap)

8. Rhaenicent (HOTD) - After Game of Thrones bombed so spectacularly at the end I thought I would not like HOTD, but they brought me back on board with the toxic lesbians. Literally inseparable from each other at the start and the one person that they trust, and it just devolves as EVERYONE around them fucks them over in a way where they end up blaming the other and are bitter and hostile about it, but even still after everything you can tell there's some love that never went away truly? Insane.

9. Pharah/Mercy (Overwatch) - ...Exposing myself as an overwatch fan....But these two have some of the gayest voicelines in the entire game (Pharah is my main so I would know lmao. I'm also automatically gay for any Mercy that pocket heals/buffs me ajssllflglh). Fly through the skies together and protect each other...HEAVY flirting while they're at it...Mercy is like the one person to know about Pharah's mommy issues....Yeah I like them lmao.

10. Utena/Anthy (Revolutionary Girl Utena) - Woooaaahhhh who saw this one coming as my fave sapphic ship....everyone? Ok. Anyways ship of all time to me. It's healthy. It's toxic. It's doomed. It's saved. It's canon. I can't even really put into words in one short paragraph why they work so well, but them and their relationship are the heart of RGU. When they get to the point where Utena realizes that what Anthy doesn't need is a prince to save her, rather that Anthy needs her own agency, and Anthy is FINALLY able to leave her abusive situation through that agency, and be able to find and love Utena with full trust. The queer and feminist themes of RGU really just make it unlike any other ship that I've seen.

It's cute! I ship Usopp with Kaya and, like I've said re: Zosan, My Feelings Towards Sanji Are Too Complex to Be Summed up on a Hat, but it's cute. I have a feeling most moments that make people ship them are anime-specific, and I haven't seen the anime, but I'd say even with manga alone there's material for it. Can't say I ship it, but it's definitely a good option.

My thoughts on Nami/Luffy are similar to my thoughts on Nami/Zoro. What do we have here? A lesbian and the most aroace man in the world. A wonderful friendship, but I can't see them together romantically unless, again, it's within the context of the Luffy/Zoro/Nami/Usopp/Sanji polycule and even then I would rather prefer it as queerplatonic.

At first I was like, okay, which princess are we talking about here, but then I realized that I'm tagging only one character as such - ironically, the one who isn't an actual princess :D Anyway, I guess out of context all the fanart of them that I'm reblogging might be misleading, but I only see them as friends. I fully subscribe to the view that they developed a sibling-like relationship during the two years they spent living together with Mihawk as their father figure/mentor/wine aunt. Okay so like one of my favorite characters from one piece is Makino, I have loved her since we were first introduced! And like I love missmungoes fics of her and shanks! But like when I saw the crack ship of Makino and Bell-mere, it made my sapphic heart sing!! Like Bell-mere gives off such lesbian vibes to me and like I’ve got this whole head canon where Makino is Garp’s daughter, which is why we see her taking care of Luffy at the beginning, right? Well in my head canon Bell-Mere was Garps subordinate before she left and when the crap with the Arlong pirates began she made a last ditch effort to save her girls and called garp for help. Garp came and brought the marines, but for safety reasons, in case any arlong supporters wanted to come for her for bringing the marines and shit, he said she needed to relocate, and brings her, nami and nojiko to Foosha island, where she meets Makino, Luffy, Ace and Sabo! And just sapphic love with like 5 kids and then like them fighting to keep Sabo, and just watching all their kids go to sea, except Nojiko, who decides to stay on the island and take over Mama Makino’s bar so her and mama bell-mere can retire and go sailing like Makino always wanted to! And just ughh!! I love it!!

Another crack ship I love, involving Makino, that I have absolutely no reason to ship, Makino and Alvida, which like makes sense in my very specific head canon lol! This one pairs with a buggy and shanks ship/reunion! So like Makino joins the red hair pirates after Luffy leaves, because like she wanted to explore and shit, right, and eventually they meet up with the buggy pirates, and like there’s Alvida, right, and they eventually bond by complaining about the two idiots, right, and like one day Alvida is like are really okay with all their flirting, like aren’t you shanks girl, that kinda thing, right? And Makino laughs and is like um yeah no, we tried that, did NOT work, plus like he’s attractive and all but I think I prefer my pirates female shape, and tada, kissing. Really this just came from the funny visual of the two of them complaining to each other about the idiocy of buggy and shanks, over like some nice wine or something. I just love it! Just yes, like just I love shanks and Makino, but also give me some sapphic Makino!

Franky: Trans dude. If he can make himself a robot body, he can make himself a robot dick. Also he's Bi. He never mentions any of this, and is surprised that his crewmates didn't already know.

Zoro: Has legit never thought about it. He has no fucking clue what his sexuality is. He just does what he wants in the moment.

Sanji: There's a solid arguement to be made in canon that my dude is not Cis. (There's simping, and then there's getting euphoria for being in the body of your hot female friend.) I personally HC him as bigender. Also, no way is he actually into ladies.

Vriska: Trans woman, transitioned super young. Will fight you if you misgender her.

Karkat: Not being able to feel certain quadrants places him on the Troll aromantic spectrum. Troll sexuality is different and my HCs should reflect that!

John: Bi, and doesn't understand that Bi isn't the default. Everyone finds their male friends attractive, that doesn't mean they want to date them! (he is wrong.)

I actually don't headcanon Mr. Kitty as intersex because Ms. Cartman totally replaces Mr. Kitty whenever something bad happens, and that explains the inconsistencies.

Total Drama:

Bi Owen is arguably canon, if played for laughs. (I know the shows old, but yikes!)

But have you considered... closeted Bi Heather? Gives me peak "get out of my school vibes" with Gwen.

I know Wayne is canonically the best Ally, but Harold knows more about LGBTQ+ history than everyone else put together and will happily talk about it when asked. He has helped at least 3 people figure out the name for their sexuality.

Favorite ships in One Piece and why?

Frobin is my number 1 ! !! ! They are so perf together and like crew mom and dad and their dynamic together is just like (heart eyes) it's the perfect dynamic for a ship and like... when he carries her after enies lobby i just MELT i drew fanart of that scene for weeks after i watched it the first time. I just want them to kiss and cuddle and take care of all the train wrecks that the crew is. such a power couple.

personally i have the fight reflex towards thresh and hecarim, because i’m really attached to senna and kalista and also just... they are so shockingly cruel in general. thresh tormenting so many people for so long. hecarim murdering someone who trusted him, someone who was just trying to do the right thing. i like a compellng villain every now and then, i’m fond of aatrox for an example from the same source, but... i just can’t seem to feel any positive emotion toward either of those two.

🏳‍🌈 do you have any headcanons (lgbt, race, neuro, etc) that are important to you?

i wish someone would outright say leona is wlw. that’s... ambiguously canon but my specific headcanon/me being a kinnie for leona is that she’s a butch nonbinary lesbian. they also should confirm taliyah is trans. possibly xin zhao is intentionally implied mlm especially in “what once sailed free” but i’m not sure. for less heavily implied, i love nonbinary wlw soraka, trans man braum, and nonbinary bard.

for neurodivergent stuff... honestly kindred is a copey kin for me, i relate to them because i have dependent personality disorder and have (had to varying degrees of intensity over time) dissociative traits; their backstory of intense loneliness and being created from the pain of one being gets to me; i still get teary thinking about their conversations in the event earlier this year. i also view older lore soraka (where she was attacked by warwick) as having ptsd, this is important to me. i like that version of her story better- the way she holds onto her compassion and desire to help people even after such a betrayal is very moving.

YES i could ramble so much but here’s some interesting things about the star guardian/magical girl setting!

zoe’s eye mark, starry/diamond-y actually most closely resembles soraka’s! neeko also has unusual eye marks, but they’re more rounded. these three are the only ones to have different pupils/etc. soraka also intentionally has an eight point star, and the rest of her team has 4 point stars. neeko does have small eight point stars in part of her outfit, but the most prominent one is only eight point in her prestige edition, where she is more powerful/reached more of her potential. Much to think about

another thing is that poppy is the only star guardian to have no familiar shown so far! lux’s familiar has been shown in art but is commonly in staff form, and the others have one or more familiars (multiple familiars = more of a wild card star guardian, such as jinx and syndra) shown, but poppy’s familiar is always just the hammer. some speculate that the pig star guardian little legend might be her familiar, but i’m more inclined/hopeful to believe that one is a familiar for a sejuani star guardian skin in the future.

💢 what do you NOT like about your hyperfixation? is there something you would want to change about it?

players go afk/get toxic too often, it’s frustrating. also i keep hoping for better, more widely diverse representation. i think there’s slow progress i just... get tired of waiting and want more than the crumbs of lgbt representation. + specific things like how when they replaced xin zhao’s old splash art he was shown with significantly paler skin, and the swain rework handled his physical disability uncomfortably, like... idk. it rubs me the wrong way that you can’t really tell in game anymore, especially with what they said about it. i still love the game overall, and want them to keep moving in the right direction and change existing harmful stuff.

Lozza, can I ask something unironically? What makes Nami bi? I mean, what aveces make it clear?

To be honest, I head canon Nami to be a raging lesbian. The reason I believe this is because she has never actually shown any attraction to men in the story but has shown attraction to women in one way or another. Of course, all of this is up to interpretation and people are allowed to see and absorb the information given to them in anyway they choose. 

An SBS in volume 59 shows us this diagram of the Strawhat’s thoughts:

Nami has: ‘money money money money beauty’, which I like to interpret as she thinks about the beauty of other women

(To contrast, Sanji has women written in his, so to me this also suggests that Nami just isn’t into men. Again this can be interpreted in your own way. For example I head canon Sanji as bi, and this diagram doesn’t necessarily suggest that he is.)

But of course, there are many other things to me that suggest that she is lesbian, with her attraction to women being displayed through many different occasions.

Sticking to the money aspect of Nami’ character, she’s so incredibly possessive of it (for good reason considering her backstory). She keeps all the expenses of the crew, usually hoarding it for herself. And yet?? she just?? gives a whole bunch of her treasure to Lola??

Even Usopp and Luffy point out just how out of character that is for her! She even shows Lola affection by going in and tackling her in a hug.

I honestly don’t even feel like I can explain this?? Like Oda clearly didn’t have to make this joke and yet??? He just makes Nami say something like that?? Take that panel out and the plot is no different, the fight remains the same and yet?? She , to me, clearly has an attraction to Kalifla, joke or not

Throughout the whole time she’s talking about Tashigi (comparing her to Bellemere) she’s just, blushing. She very clearly admires Tashigi for her courage and willingness to save the children from Punk Hazard and even goes as far as to compare her to her own mother!! Someone she loves so dearly!! You could chalk the blush up to the fact it’s cold but??? you don’t see the other characters blush like that.

Throughout ALL of this Wanda is just consuming Nami with love and affection and to me it seems like Nami is enjoying it. There’s even HEARTS from Wanda (and possibly Nami) and she just, lays there once Wanda goes back to explaining her gratitude.

Reiju sucking the poison out of Luffy and this is Nami’s reaction??? Like honestly that’s the EXACT reaction I have when I watch the scene and it’s not because I’m jealous of Reiju locking lips with Luffy I’ll tell you that. It’s no secret that I’m attracted to Reiju, and it doesn’t surprise me that Nami gives off a very similar reaction to that of which I would give too in that scenario.

Now we’re at my favourite suggestion that Nami is attracted to women.

This scene right here. Vivi is going on about the world and how amazing it must be and Nami turns around and just. STARES at her with a giant smile.  TWO panels are dedicated to this, with one being a close up. And I know that if this was her staring at a male character, people would jump on that. (I’m also probably very biased because I ship namivivi so hard you have no idea)

Which leads onto this last bit I’ll bring up

As soon as Sanji starts talking about Vivi in this way and gets in the way of Nami, she get’s pissed. This is also evident in the anime episode.

As soon as she see’s Vivi she smiles and it’s so cute. And it’s not like she’s upset that others want to see her, because she goes on to show Luffy, Chopper and Brook.

She describes her as graceful as well, and she clearly shows that she’s very proud of Vivi and what she’s accomplished (what a great girlfriend)

As the scene goes on and it quickly goes through all the characters, the other characters point them out, and yet Nami was the one to point out Vivi. Of course, she was the first to open the newspaper and see her, but she lets the others take in the pictures, almost as if she wanted to see her first and gush about her.

Of course, this in no means you must believe Nami is lesbian. It’s a head canon and we will never know unless Oda explicitly says otherwise and even then, people are allowed to have their head canons. You can interpret it how you want and how you see fit. If you don’t see her as lesbian, that’s okay. If you see her as straight, bi, pan, trans etc. that’s okay. Just as long as you don’t harass others for their head canons and ships, your insight is 100% valid.
