Naenia and names

Okay my Greek and Latin studies might be a few years behind me but how come I never realized before today that Nenia (or naenia depending on the writing) was a funeral song and also a deity connected to funerary laments. Vanitas had a meaning to his name, the reference for Jeanne the “Hellfire Witch” is quite obvious, the Paladins all have Charlemagne Paladin’s names (and I could go check them to see if there’s any correlation but uh aside from Roland’s and Oliver’s friendship in the chanson de geste), and even Noe being an “archiviste” has a smart thing to it, but really, there are probably many more. With all the fuss about vampire’s real names, and names in general actually, I’m disappointed in myself.

I kinda want to dive deeper in the meaning of this but I also have to study my Law books. Does anyone have a study of the names’ meanings in VnC that you could link me ?
