I get that people used to get married and fall in love at wild ages way back when, but people don't have to romanticize it in fiction anymore. "But it was okay then!" Correct. At this point in time we don't need more stories about 14 year olds and 29 year olds falling in love anymore. Just age one up!!! It doesn't even add to the plot!!!

really, though. i absolutely hated the ending of the anime. i can't really see Gilbert as anything more than a father figure/mentor to Violet. a romance between them seems so ridiculous, to me. [it’s not even the age gap, really. it’s more so the fact that he met her when she was TEN and he was TWENTY-FIVE and he practically raised/adopted her.] first of all, Violet has some sort of saviour complex when it comes to him. she would literally do anything he asks her to, because she feels indebted to him, in some way, and that's unhealthy. Violet had some wonderful character development on the show: she learned to live, using her own free will; formed healthy friendships/relationships; found a job that she genuinely enjoyed; broke free of the shackles that tied her down...and then the movie absolutely flushed all that down the drain. Gilbert says, “stay with me on this island” and she obeys without hesitation, she leaves her job and all her other relationships behind, leaves everything she’s built for HERSELF behind. she regresses. [side note: i do think she genuinely loves Gilbert, but she’s just learned what love means, not really understanding that there are different types of love, so i’m not convinced she loves Gilbert romantically.]

my hc is that she grows to realise she’s not exactly happy, simply staying on the island with Gilbert. she realises she misses the travelling, the meeting and helping people, her friendships. she realises she’s changed as a person and is no longer content with being still and obedient. she leaves the island, after some time [Gilbert lets her go because he’s a good person and cares about her and wants her to be happy. it helps that she promises to visit.]. circumstances and fate allow her and Leon to meet again [under a starry sky, of course] and they decide to continue travelling the world, together. somewhere along the way, Violet realises she’s fallen in love with him [i think we all know Leon has been whipped for her since the start, so obviously, the feeling is quite mutual], and she notes that it’s not the same feeling she had with the Major. [it’s different. her heart thuds in a comfortable rhythm whenever he’s near her, her skin grows hot when he gets a little too close or does something unintentionally attractive, she doesn’t feel like she owes him anything but genuinely enjoys his company, she smiles a lot more around him, it’s warm and sweet.]. there’s a confession, a kiss, many kisses, hugs. they traverse the globe into their later years, still very much in love. [p.s. Violet also rediscovers her friendships with her old friends, especially those from CH.]. THE END.

isabella and leon were literally better options than gilbert my girl violet literally choosed a grown man that has been in love with her since she was 14/15💀

Shingeki no Kyojin was good n' I liked Tokyo Ghoul.

Out of animes I liked their intro songs- especially Unravel, Shinzou wo Sasageyou, n' The Rumbling.

Another one I loved was found & lost by Survive Said the Prophet.

That band is insane, man. /pos

I have a small playlist dedicated to some of my favorite songs by them.

Of course I gotta mention the GOATs, Akira n' Fist of the North Star.

I tried Given- n' I guess this would be a "hot take" or whatever you guys call it- but if I'm bein' honest, I was more into Bocchi the Rock.

Still a cute one, though.

Nothin' will ever give me chills like Banana Fish n' this scene from Bocchi.

Death Note was another one that was pretty good but drove me nuts- loved the second op though- n' I'm excited to continue Boku no Hero Academia n' Demon Slayer.

I think the two I'm most excited to read/see more of though are Trigun/Trigun Maximum/Trigun Stampede n' Rurouni Kenshin.

Vash is a pretty cool guy.

Oh yeah- One Punch Man was hysterical, too.

Princess Mononoke was gorgeous.

Y'all can hate on it all ya want or be judgemental to it's chaotic n' broken fandom but RWBY rocks.

As for games: I've played that [Redacted] series n' saw the anime for it as well as read some of the novels when I had the time.

I liked that Hagakure guy, but I can't put my finger on why... oh, n' Leon was pretty cool, too.

I loved Mondo n' Taka, not gonna lie.

Also liked Nekomaru n' that Kaito dude.

What was up with that Gozu guy too- he was interestin'.

Persona games are pretty good, too.

I played Genshin for a bit. I like Diluc. I swear- that Itto guy sounded familiar, but I'm not sure where else I'd heard him from.

HSR might be more my thing, but I like the fighting style more in Genshin if I'm bein' honest. Otherwise, I'll still be more active on Star Rail from now on.
