A mid morning pick me up was much needed as time had been dragging on. After a rough night of staying up late to get ready for a case, the morning was rough and he desperately needed caffeine. After heading out of the office and swinging by the Cafe, he thought he must be more exhausted than he though as he could have sworn he saw someone from back him in New York, sitting at a table. After grabbing his order, he had to make sure he wasn't seeing things. "Okay so I know I'm getting up there in age, but I could have sworn I would have remembered I'd you told me you were in town!" He replied shaking his head as he leaned on the table in front of Tanner.

Exhaling the smoke from her lungs, Clementine eyes Leo cautiously from where she sits two stairs above him. They’ve mostly been talking nonsense up until now — which is what happens, usually, when two people get this high together — but there’s something tugging at the edges of her brain, a curiosity in her leftover from her sober senses. With another drag of her joint, she lets the silence sit between the two of them for a beat longer before asking, “Hey, what’s the deal with you and Alec?”

She raises an eyebrow. Most of the time when she asks she gets a nothing or a what do you mean or some shit — and she’s never asked Alec, because she doesn’t want to cause issues. Leo, though — well, she doesn’t feel too bad about poking and prodding at Leo. If the tables were turned, she’s got an inkling he’d be doing the same to her, anyway. So she extends her leg to poke at the back of his neck with her foot, calling for his attention once again. “Hey, I’m talking to you,” she says, slightly louder. “You two fuck or something?”

No matter how busy his week had been so far, Cage knew that he wasn't going to miss the opportunity to head out to the bar to listen to some honky tonk music, enjoy a beer, and unwind for a little bit. A popular idea, no doubt, which he noticed as he pulled open the door and was met with the buzz sound of people inside, enjoying themselves. Heading straight for the bar, he flagged down the bartender, offering a quick smile before ordering a PBR, sliding into the stool with ease. Glancing to the side, he recognized a familiar face and smiled, "well hey, Leo, you out to enjoy the music, too?"

The news only reached her this week that the company she and Felix had set up was recently purchased, and for twenty million at that. The fact that it was by Leo makes it even better and she knows Tarquin will get a kick out of the news. @rviner

Paintball had come and gone, Rafael was full of foods that he was sure that he wasn't going to touch again until the next summer, but there was something pretty lively about the fire burning on the Newman Family Farm, stepping closer with his beer in hand, bringing it up to his lips to take a long swig. "Pretty nice night for this kind of party, isn't it?" he asked the person next to him, smile on his face.

THERE WAS ALMOST NOTHING ANGEL was surprised by after working at aurora for the better part of a decade now. he'd seen the creeps leering in the corner, the giggling bachelorettes trying to get his attention, the angry drunks after getting a few too many. it was old news at this point. he knew the dance and knew which steps to take to avoid getting tangled up in it. what did surprise him though was leo's inability to mind his own business and take a hint. it was impressive, to fail as many times as the kid had and he still hadn't given up. angel knew it was just a game to the other, and wasn't about to give in just because they wanted their fun. after dancing for a little while, sweat clinging to his curls, he joined jeanie on her end of the bar, accepting a water gratefully and trying to ignore leo for as long as possible. still, they were friendly with each other, so he shouldn't torture them too much. "leo," he said shortly, flashing him a polite smile so that jeanie wouldn't scold him later. "what a surprise. you're here. again."

After the end of a long day ( and a long week ), Maya found herself sitting at the end of the bar at O'Shea's, sipping on a drink after closing up the shop. She hadn't planned on staying long, just a quick drink to unwind and ease the tension in her shoulders, but the warm atmosphere and hum of conversations kept her in her seat. The pub door creaked open, and Maya glanced up, out of instinctive curiosity as almost let out a grown when she recognized who strolled in. Leo Fowler, as if conjured up by the universe specifically to test her patience. Maya turned her gaze quickly hoping to avoid him recognizing her back. She casually took another sip of her whiskey sour, but braced herself for whatever smooth-talking attempt Leo might have up his sleeve.

who: @leolefford where: the celebrations of yule at riverrun, the first of the twelve feasts. the brackens arrived to riverrun following a smaller celebration in stone hedge, attended by the closest, in which lord ronan bracken invited lord leo lefford to attend. he had something he needed to tell the man.

the celebration in riverrun was always bigger than the smaller, more intimate celebration they shared in stone hedge: perhaps one felt more orientated around family and close invited guests, whilst the other felt more like a formality. there was a noticeable change in the master of laws the moment he passed through the the lands of the red fork into lands that were not his own - ronan became lord bracken, though he never let one become the other permanently, he knew what it was he needed to do. the blood feud was something he understood would forever remain; his wishes to someday make peace burned alongside the crops of the riverlands.

and now, there was much the master of laws put his mind to; his mind was always at work on something. some personal project, some deeper investigation into what the concept of law was, and what breaking it was. what should the penalty for law breaking be? how far was too far? those thoughts clouded his mind as he sat at the table, half listening to the sound of music filling the hall and the chatter. there was another matter pressing his mind - that of the investigation he had started whilst in kings landing. the encounter, in which a bracelet had been left behind as a woman with bright red hair fled into an awaiting wagon.

there was only one small, petty house in the westerlands whose house symbol was a strawberry. in his conversations with calla lefford who sat beside him, he asked her briefly on whether she knew any ladies of house turnberry - his conversation subtle, but the pieces matching together in his mind? anything but subtle. to find out lady turnberry was a lady to the lefford sisters was something he had not been expecting. a lady that had attended kings landing with them. he definitely was not expecting her to be present in this very hall, and as his vivid dark orbs moved to her briefly, he knew the game was us.

the flaming red hair that he caught a brief flash of a glimpse of. as the night went on, he found himself alone beside lord leo lefford. the others had briefly left the table, and ronan used the moment.

"i've got something yer gonna wanna hear." ronan spoke, leaning forwards as he poured a goblet of brightwater whiskey into his cup. "that redheaded attending lass of yer sisters. the one who went to kings landing for the coronation. ya know her?" ronan asked, making no effort to hide his accent. he did not even look toward the woman, only tilted his head slightly as he took a drink.

Taking a sip from his glass of water, Leo scanned the room as he waited for Giovanna to arrive. Having been friends for nearly a decade, he was glad to be back in the same city as her after her move from New York to Kismet. Gio was one of the most important people in his life other than his family, his girlfriend, and his best friend Rohan, so being able to see her was very important. "Hey," he said with a smile as he saw her approaching, getting up to give her a hug before motioning to the seat across from him.

there's a light conversation between brothers at the bar, and logan has already turned his back to the overly friendly vampire at the side of him. it's a jittery thing, no malice in it's tone as it tries to engage with the pair of them. slowly, logan glances to it as it chirps something about a bar fight. "wasn't us. wrong cross." he swears they need that tattooed but then he moves his look back to his brother. "anyways," his frown rivals hunter's now and he clutches his glass of sad tasting beer even tighter. "so there was no sign of any roses?" no scarlett, he means. annoyed at how quickly the places filled on the attack at the holding camp, but trusting his brother look for her name. @ofwrxth
