Imagine confessing to Viktor. He's incredibly flustered, but he admits to returning your feelings. He tells you that he didn't expect things to go this way, and in all the simulations he's run, none of them had you returning his feelings. He wasn't even going to confess, too afraid of ruining the friendship you had built together. You're glad you confessed.
Imagine working on a project with Viktor- it's something rather difficult, so he figured he'd call you to come help. It's different from all the other times you've helped him out- there's a tension that wasn't there before. And when you finally figure it out, and the device powers up, he kisses you passionately. He pulls away, grinning, and then panics. You reassure him, and when he asks shyly for another one, you oblige.
Imagine the teleporter to your ranch breaking when he steps through- it's no surprise, considering how much it's been used. It'll take a few days to fix, and while you're happy to have him as a guest, he's rather uncertain. But it ends up being wonderful- your cooking is the first real meal he's had in a while. And when night-time comes, you curl up against each other. He's stiff as a board, but he's very warm. And when you wake up the next morning, he's curled around you protectively.

The Humprhies Legacy Pt. 4
Character/Lore under the cut.
Talon: Adoptive child of Toji Sinclair. A very warm, and bubbly sort of person. They love to settle into a small nook and read their day away. Talon goes on to become a chef! Although, at home he tends to stick to baked goods. Moves away from Frogotten Hollow to Brindleton Bay after college. Goes on to live a very peaceful life with their family of 5.
Juniper: A nature witch who lived in the country side of Brindleton Bay with her father. Confident, but secretive she ends up meeting Talon in town. The two immediately caught on and moved in together. She never really told Talon about her supernatural abilities, but he bad hunches. Especially from how his vampiric father reacted when they met (👀). Sadly she passed after her second pregnancy due to a blood hemorrhage.
I will share some screenshots from this point of the legacy. As it ties into a lot of themes for the current gen.

It's all fun and games until Hardy reminds everyone he is an undead eldritch horror
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
She put Daisy's remark about "true love's promise" out of her head for the next few days, pushing hard against the case; against Katie Harford and her stupid certainty; against Tom and his stupid certainty; against Hardy himself, although that was about as effective as punching a brick wall. Besides, he was looking bedraggled enough without her nagging.
It was a different sort of bedraggled than she'd seen during the Latimer case, or Sandbrook. There was none of the stretched-thin-ness, as though he were about to give out at a moment's notice. Now it was a coiling sort of tension in his movements, as though he were waiting for the chance to strike. It might have bothered her once; but sat across the table from Leo Humphries as he proudly recalled all the women he'd terrorised, the brutality he'd forced on young Michael Lucas, she was almost impatient for it to start.
And then it did.
"Makes you feel in control," Humphries said, smiling and serene. Ellie watched him closely and hardly noticed the room darkening, as though the lights had been submerged. The shushing pulse of the sea, never far off, grew louder. "For that moment, there's nothing else. Just you in charge. There's a moment where you're in harmony with the world, and it's just… beautiful."
"It is, isn't it," said Hardy. Ellie'd been focused on Humphries throughout the interview, his lawyer and Hardy on the edges of her vision, so it wasn't until the lawyer gasped that she realised something was wrong. She looked over at Hardy, who—
But he wasn't a who, in that moment. The thing next to her shifted and pulled at Hardy's bones from within, skin stretched and sagging in ways no living creature could withstand. And then it stood up, taller than Hardy; taller than the ever-shrinking room, stooped and looming.
"Power over someone, it's such a pleasure," it hissed. The cups of half-drunk water began to bubble and seethe; the recorder made a ghastly hissing noise and sparked out. "Someone pathetic and helpless, who can't even scream for help."
The lawyer made a dive for the door but Hardy was too quick for Humphries, arms twisting as they stretched across the room to pin him into a corner with one blue-grey hand clapped over his mouth, its fingers blackened with rot.
"But there's greater pleasures than that, Leo Humphries," said Hardy, through a mouth ruined and twisted, the jaw hanging at an unnatural angle. (Not unnatural, of course — nothing more natural than than a corpse.) "You can have all of them. I'll show you every one. Do you want that, Leo Humphries? Just ask me."
The hand lifted away and Humphries collapsed to the ground. "Please," he babbled, trying to crawl still further away, though there was nowhere left to go. "Please, please, no—"
Ellie was on her feet, grabbing at the thing beside her; even as she did she wondered why. What she could possibly do? Did she even want to? Wasn't this what she'd imagined — the rapist forced to endure horrors, fear and pain, with no hope of escape.
But instead it was Hardy who pulled himself back. Slowly, like the receding of the tide, the room expanded and lightened until it was real again. Ellie now held handfuls of cheap suit jacket, and Hardy's form contracted and folded in on itself until he looked almost, very nearly, human.
The door, still open from when the lawyer had escaped, fell off its hinges and landed with a clatter on the floor.
"You just had to ask," Hardy said, as Humphries shivered in the corner.
It was well past dawn by the time the paperwork was done. IT assured her that the confession had been recorded, even if there'd been a glitch toward the end of the interview that fried the device. The accused had been remanded to custody and his lawyer had requested a transfer — she was moving to be nearer her mum and dad, she said, in Northumberland. "I don't think I'll ever be back here," she said, her smile waxy and fixed. "Not ever. My firm will be in touch to provide him with new counsel."
Ellie finally left the station with enough time to get home and help the boys get ready for school, before going over to Trish's and telling her the news. Instead she sat down on the front steps, breathing carefully in and out and trying not to cry, or vomit, or scream.
He followed her, of course he did. Was she supposed to be afraid of him now? She'd been afraid of people before, even with her badge and her taser. For the past few years she'd been afraid of her own husband, though not as afraid as she'd been of herself. But as Hardy came closer she felt her heart unclench, the furious grief in her stomach dissolve.
"Ed Burnett's gone," he said. "And Jim Atwood." He paused; she could picture him now, looking down at her. "You okay?"
What a question. "No."
Hardy sat beside her, uncomfortable and comforting. "We have him now. That footage will send him down."
He was right; even if the confession didn't hold, even if Michael tried to change his story, those horrific videos had a solid chain of custody. Leo Humphries would stay in prison a long time.
Not long enough.
"He is not what men are," Hardy said. "He's an aberration."
"Is that what you are?" she asked, finally looking at him. "In there. Was that the real you?"
He didn't seem angry or offended. "It's all the real me, Miller."
"Is that why you told me about the iron and the wood and the ashes and everything?" She curled further into herself. "So if you go too far, I can—"
"I'd hope you'd arrest me first," he said. "Or at least talk to the Chief Super." When she didn't say anything, he shook his head. "It's my responsibility to not go too far, Miller. Not yours or anyone else's. Just mine."
"Then why tell me?"
"Because I trust you," Hardy said, as though it were simple as that.
Perhaps it was.
She untucked her hand from under her arm. He didn't move away as she put her hand to his jaw; the skin was cool and damp, as though he'd been standing too close to the spray of the ocean. "I don't know if you should," she said, holding back a shiver. It was too cold for June. Hardy's doing, maybe. Summers before him had been warm and grey, full of lazy mornings on the beach interrupted by a friendly pattering of rain. But there wasn't a cloud in the sky today. "I don't know if I'm worth it."
"You are," Hardy said, his voice low and soft, barely louder than the wind. The stubble on his cheek rasped against her palm.
Ellie shook her head. "I would've let you kill him. I think I even wanted it." She let her hand drop. "But I trust you, too." It felt like a confession. Or a promise.

It’s the little things
It's the little things... that keep popping out of my head.
I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things… I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind. Leo Buscaglia Life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things, in which smiles and kindness, and small obligations given habitually, are what preserve the heart and secure comfort. Humphry Davy I have a magpie mind, by which I mean I see and hear…

Week 246: Saturday, June 22nd, our first time visiting Yerba Buena Island and Treasure Island with Leo and his family. We saw "Point of Infinity" by artist Hiroshi Sugimoto with an incredible panoramic view!We also stopped by the Treasure Island Museum, 1 Avenues of the Palms, San Francisco (and walked into the middle of a 49ers party with their 5 Super Bowl trophies) and went to the Treasure Island Playground. Then we took the ferry to the Ferry Building and got Humphry Slocombe ice cream, El Porteño Empanadas, and Blue Botttle Coffee! Earlier in the day Terran had gymnastics and Maxim took his first (and hopefully not last) ballet class ever at the Academy of American Ballet, 2555 Middlefield Rd, Redwood City, with his friend Zoe!

He denied any "immoral" relations with a young girl in Renfrew about four years ago, following which incl dent he was questioned by Canon Quartermaine, in charge of Children's Aid work here.
The evidence regarding Council Fennessy's record was admitted by Commissioner I., A. Humphries, K.C. of Toronto.
Mrs. Leo Lepine, Renfrew, swore yesterday at the inquiry that in December last James Fennessy, chair man of the police committee, offered her $50 to swear against Chief of Police Moses Greer, declaring it would be worth that amount to him to get the chief discharged.
Her husband told Commissioner I. A. Humphries, K.C., of the Attorney-General's department, who conducting the inquiry, that a man resembling Mr. Fennessy spoke t his wife, that he heard them talking about "dollars" and that his wife told the man that if he wanted to find out about Chief Greer to do it himself.

OMGGG THANK YOU FOR THE SR FOOD 🙏🙏🙏 im back requesting more viktor (already 😼)
maybe something with his reaction to getting a hug from reader for the first time? its been so long since he’s had an emotional connection with anyone, let alone a physical one, so he’s shocked when reader hugs him out of the blue. maybe he gets emotional?? idk how you hc him
THANKS AGAIN HAVE A LOVELY DAY STAY HEALTHY 💪💪💪
IM SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG
You get hcs AND a lil drabble
As a treat
Viktor hasn't gotten a hug in a very long time, so getting one from you is definitely. An Experience. One that makes him feel things.
He definitely gets emotional. might cry. Maybe. Probably. Ok, yeah, he's gonna cry at least a little bit. He'll shove his head into the space between your neck and shoulder and try not to, but your hand on his back feels so nice, and it's been forever since he's been touched like this, and he really can't help it.
He's not going to let go. Not for a long time. You might have to relocate to the bed for a nap. He could absolutely fall asleep like this, you're so comfy! And he feels so safe, how could he stay awake?
Hope you finished your chores, because you're... probably not getting up. Unless you can fenagle yourself out of his cuddles, which is... difficult, to say the least- because while Viktor looks scrawny, several years working in the Lab and doing all his own heavy lifting means he's strong.
But why would you even want to leave? You're cuddling your favourite scientist, and it's warm and safe here. You're safe here, in Viktor's arms.
As you wrapped your arms around Viktor's torso, squeezing so tightly he could swear he felt the air rush out of his lungs, he stiffened in shock, startled at the feeling. Feeling his shock, you started to pull away, worried. This was quickly assuaged, as he was quick to pull you back in.
"Viktor? You okay?"
The sweet sound of your voice startled him, and he realized the reason for your concern- his cheeks were wet with tears.
Viktor nodded and nuzzled back into your shoulder, feeling a weight fall off his shoulders with every gentle pass of your hand over his spine. He let out a long sigh, a rush of emotions coming with it. Love, mostly. As well as a strangely pure happiness, something he hadn't felt in decades.
The next thing he felt was you lifting him with a grunt, and his reaction to that was...something to unpack later.
You set Viktor down on the bed, flopping down next to him and snuggling in close. He tugs you closer, holding you against his chest. He feels drowsy, and as he slowly succumbs to sleep, he hears you say something.
"What?"
"I said 'I love you', Vik."
"Mm...I love you too, honey..."
Viktor drifted off to sleep, with you in his arms and feeling the safest he ever had.
Screaming crying throwing up I love him sm

The Humphries Legacy Pt. 3
Character/Lore under the cut.
Toji Sinclair: Son of Neveah Sinclair. His bio dad got involved in some unsavory business in Mt. Komurabi. Which led them to leave the country entirely. Toji is a well mannered, family oriented individual. He earned his PhD and became a well known doctor in Evergreen Harbor. He raised his younger siblings later on in life, after their parents passed.
Roman: A vampire hiding out as a human in Evergreen Harbor. One of Toji's former classmates during college. He goes on to become a professional author. Dealing with history and some medical journals. Toji and him eventually fall in love. Moving out to Forgotten Hollow.
Anashi: Son of Tristian and Neveah. He's the first trans sim of my legacy 💕 A strong love of both country and city, he moved quite a bit between San My and his home country of Henford On Bagley. He loved music and was often working on his songs whenever he could. He's also the first sim to have adhd, which did affect his music career. He went on to live a very happy life with his 7 kids.
Iris: Daughter of Dominic and Neveah. The most stubborn and headstrong of the siblings. She was always very confident of herself. Prefers the city to all of the dirt and grime of the country. Gets mistaken for twins with her brother, although she's older than him. She goes on to become a lawyer and retire in Sulani.
I didn't have time to make over the siblings's love interests. However, I'll probably make a post for them later on.

Broadchurch s3 suspects: all of the above
Goodness forbid, but I think more than one person was involved. I think it takes a village to cover up this sort of attack…
Clive Lucas: my original theory was that he filmed the crime or some part of it, perhaps blurry or from a distance or unsteadily, which obscured the quality, coupled with generally poor camera phone performance in low light (bright light - potential camera phone). After watching 3x06, I think he either took Trish partway home since she doesn’t remember gaps in how she got from place to place, or Clive was forced to take the attacker home. Which brings me to Ian.
Ian Winterman: first thought was that Scumbag-Ex could have simply watched the crime (taped), knowing what it was, and getting pleasure from his ex-wife being assaulted and humiliated. Lately though I’m thinking he could have watched the crime in person and did nothing, or be the perpetrator, since he drank heavily at the party and Trish smelled spirits on her attacker. But Ian’s not my prime suspect, unless by some miracle he goes to AA meetings with Reverend Paul and makes a confession. Which brings me to Leo.
(Notice the Atwood’s Auto sponsored uniform). I am thinking Leo Humphries made some money by syndicating / distributing video of the attack, or he filmed and distributed it as a kind of blackmail to the people involved (like Clive, Ian, Jim). This could explain his need for an alibi to avoid extortion and obstruction charges, which brings me to Tom.
Tom Miller may have watched footage of the attack via Clive’s son, thinking it was just pornography, but I don’t think he was otherwise substantially involved. Which brings me back to the actual crime.
As to who actually attacked Trish - I’m not sure at this moment, I keep going back and forth between two people. Surprisingly not Ed Burnett, though for all I know he did it. I think it was either Arthur Tamworth, the steward/owner of Axehampton (He was originally my first choice. He’s a seasonal person, knows the area, not exactly forthcoming with evidence) or Jim Atwood (slept with Trish already, so it forensically creates a doubt about whether he assaulted her later that day, but does own a garage and is very mechanical, which could connect to the hint dropped about one of the other victims calling for service after breaking down on the road). I am guessing that one of them did it and the other witnessed it but didn’t report it because it would come back to ruin their personal lives. If Jim witnessed it, he didn’t report it because of his affair with Trish, if the Steward witnessed it he didn’t report it for the sake of his family/Axehampton reputation.
In any case, I think they are, all 5 of them (not Tom), involved. Attacker, witnesses, and accessories. If I had to guess the chain of accountability, I’d say: Arthur (or 2nd Jim or 3rd Ian) - attacker, Jim and Ian (or Arthur) - witnesses, neither wanting to come forward with what they saw out of spite or implication, Leo - blackmailer, Clive - accomplice, drove the attacker or Trish away, possibly under some coercion or threat by Jim, but not knowing the full extent of the crime till after the fact and therefore not wanting to come forward either.
I know I’m way off, but I keep thinking it’s not a one man crime. I need to go back and watch eps 1 & 2
