Ah @murmel-malt you have done it again with this wonderful drawing! Here’s another one of my GoT OCs, Lena Stark-Arryn!
She’s the twin sister of Ren Stark, making her the daughter of Robb and Nadya Stark and thus Princess of the North, as well as the Lady of the Eyrie after her eventual marriage to Robin Arryn.
Some fun facts about this outfit: the necklace was a gift from Olenna Tyrell when she was a child (she was raised in Highgarden with Ren after the Red Wedding and remained there until the Lannister forces came in Season 7), and the gemstones contain the strangler (much like Sansa’s necklace from the Purple Wedding), and the sapphire ring she wears was a gift from Robin on her wedding day!
This turned out so amazing, and I love everything about it, as always! I can’t get enough of this incredible art!

Ugh I’m thinking about the House Of The Dragon/ Game Of Thrones AU like hard core (thanks a lot @rangerthursday my life will never be the same)
So here’s my thoughts on it
Houses
Targaryens:
Duncan- King of Westeros
Cassandra- Crown Princess
Morgarath- Old king’s second son, Duncan’s UNCLE in this AU
Lena- My OC, Morgarath’s daughter, raised by Duncan, Princess of Dragonstone (my profile pic is of Lena in her armor, except she’d have the Targaryen purple eyes not blue)
Baratheon:
Arald- Lord of Storm End
Sandra- Lady of Storm End
Arryn:
David- Lord of the Eerie
Jocelyn- Lady of the Eerie, sister of Arald
Lyle- Future lord of the Eerie, Gilan’s older brother
Gilan- Second son, Knight of the Vale
Tully:
Myra- Morgarath’s wife, Lena’s mother (I put her here and not with the Targaryen’s bc it’s important plot wise)
Duncan’s Grandfather, the old king, is dying but there is a question of who will be king after him
Duncan’s father was the old king’s first son, and should have ascended the throne upon the king’s death, but had died some years before
So now the old king must choose a new heir
His options are his grandson from his first born son
Or his second son, Morgarath
The old king assembled a great council of the lords of the realm to help choose
The lords of the realm decide that Duncan is the best option
He would’ve been in line for the throne after his father anyway, but he’s also a far better option for king than Morgarath
Everyone knows that Morgarath can be cruel and only want to rule for absolute power
It’s better to let another Targaryen keep him on a short chain
Furious at the slight, Morgarath flees to Dragonstone with his wife and Daughter where he begins plotting a coup
He begins to turn minor lords to his side so that when the old king dies he can strike against Duncan to take the iron throne
Myra knows what Morgarath is planning and fears for Lena’s safety
Morgarath leaves for another lords holdfast and Myra takes her chance
She flees to Kings Landing with Lena, hoping that the old king and prince Duncan will hear her out and take mercy on Lena
Myra is greeted to news that the old king has died, and preparations are being made for Duncan’s coronation
She finds Duncan in the small council chamber and tells him all of Morgarath’s plans, everything she was able to find out, and begs him to take Lena into his custody
Myra plans to return to Riverrun, she knows it’s where Morgarath would think she would go when he finds out she ran, but she needs to know Lena will be safe and cared for
Duncan of course agrees, but begs Myra to stay in Kings Landing for her own safety
She can’t, she feels she put her own family in danger and needs to be there to protect them however she can
She sends a raven to Riverrun, letting Lord Tulley know she’ll be arriving soon and takes off from Kings Landing with two armed guards at Duncan’s insistence
Duncan tried to take her on dragon back himself, so he’d be there to face Morgarath, but his council advised him to stay in Kings Landing to prepare for an attack there, it’d be the more obvious target
Myra arrives in Riverrun just as Morgarath returns to Dragonstone and finds his wife and daughter missing
Furious, he takes back off on his great albino dragon headed straight for Riverrun
Morgarath commands his dragon to rain fire down on the castle as he descends inside its walls
Servants and guards alike run screaming not wanting to face the flames of a dragon
Chaos erupts but Myra calmly walks out to face her husband
“You and the girl are coming back with me”
“No we’re not”
“I’m not arguing with you over this. LENA! LENA COME OUT HERE WE’RE LEAVING!”
“She’s not here.”
“What did you do?”
“What I had to”
Morgarath sees blood red and runs Myra through with his sword, running the blade clean through her middle and out her back
She sputters blood but doesn’t look away from him as he pulls it out and her limp body drops to the ground
A scream rips over the sound of chaos
Lady Tulley appears from the same door Myra had walked out of running to her daughter’s lifeless body
Morgarath strides back to his dragon, mounting the beast and takes off, heading now for his daughter and Kings Landing
He never makes it
Duncan had ignored the advice of his council and took off towards Riverrun
Myra would know Morgarath better than the Lords of his council
Duncan, astride his great Golden dragon met against Morgarath and his white beast just south West of the Gods Eye
The dragons clashed at each other snapping and clawing blowing flames at each others riders
In the end Duncan’s Golden ripped massive holes in the leathery wings of Morgarath’s beast, forcing it to the ground
Duncan followed, and the men met face to face on the ground
The duel didn’t last long, both men had sustained injuries in their dragons clash, but Morgarath was far more severely injured
His white beast had rolled over him upon crashing to the ground, causing lacerations to his face and head, bones were most likely broken, his fingers were at strange angles
But still he clashed his sword against his nephews, savagely slashing into Duncan’s face, still a menace even in this state
Duncan would have lost his head if he wasn’t so quick on his feet, Morgarath swung straight for his neck and he ducked, losing his balance and rolling away from the enraged man
Morgarath approached Duncan’s now prone body, sword in both hands held high above his head ready to swing down in a killing blow
That was his mistake
Duncan struck his own sword in Morgarath’s Side
Duncan pulled his blade out and Morgarath fell to his side, breaths heavy
Duncan watches him going to lift his sword for the killing blow, but stops
His first act as king will not be to kill his uncle
Duncan mounts his Golden dragon and flies back to Kings Landing, leaving Morgarath to die and rot in the grass
Or does he?
As always I have a lot more thoughts so will probably work on a second part when I have the energy to
#shit I’m tired after writing all this down#but it’s out of love for this au#I want to try to do some dragon designs soon#ra au#rangers apprentice#ranger’s apprentice

Yes! Kit as Cregan and definitely Alfie should cameo as The Red Kraken Dalton Greyjoy! And Lena Headey could be Johanna Lannister. I thought of some other ones as well! Maisie Williams should cameo as Sara Snow. And I think Sophie Turner would make a lovely Jessamyn Redfort, Jeyne Arryn’s lover in The Eyrie. Emilia Clarke should cameo as one of the Dragonseeds during the Dance. And then I think she should also cameo as Daenerys in a dragon dream or Targaryen vision.
I don't care about the Targaryens being ugly (silver hair isn't attractive to me) BUT if they don't cast a very hot guy to play Cregan Stark I'm going to be disappointed, you can have Jon and Robb looking like that and not showing were those genes come from
Nonnie,
I once again apologize for my late reply! Tumblr fails to notify me of 2/3 of my asks, and I fail to finally wizen up and regularly check my inbox 🤦🏻♀️
And OMG! Just recently @selkiewife mentioned how it would be awesome if Alfie Allen had a cameo in HotD as Dalton The Red Kraken Greyjoy – and now imagine that together with Kit as Cregan Stark 😱😱😱😱 I would DIE on the spot.
Thank you for the ask! 🐺♥️🐙

When Cersei and Robert talked one on one when they were breaking fast, or travelling together what do you think they talked about? And how do you think the conversations would go? The most we saw them interact was when she was trying to kill him using reverse-psychology and they were having an argument. Also, do you think they played the sweet couple infront of Tywin? Or kept it polite to each other? Or didn’t care and would argue and scream?
This is a question I’ve wondered about myself, truth be told. When we encounter Robert and Cersei in the books for the first time, it is after weeks and weeks of travel in a slow, ponderous wheelhouse. Robert probably spent a fair amount of the time riding (per his own preference), but I don’t doubt that he and Cersei were forced to spend a lot of time together and that neither of them appreciated it. Add to that Robert’s stress and grief about Jon Arryn’s death that Cersei does not share, and you’ve got a recipe for discord.
So, what we see in canon may well be what their relationship looks like when it has been stretched to the breaking point. Let me put it this way--after spending 15+ hours in a car with my husband and my kids this past summer, I felt quite murderous. So imagine how bad it must have been after travelling for weeks on end on unpaved, bumpy, pockmarked roads with very little entertainment, and one of your kids is Joffrey.
However, I expect that, prior to Jon Arryn’s death, Robert and Cersei must have had at least a visibly functional working relationship. As I’ve suggested elsewhere, I imagine it involved largely separate spheres of influence, which also explains how the Lannisters were able to infiltrate the corridors of power so thoroughly. Jon Arryn was the one who was really running things, and it is through his influence, and Lysa’s, that Petyr Baelish was able to rise to Master of Coin. Robert’s own influence was probably pretty minimal; he shows absolutely no interest in rulership or diplomacy, though I expect he showed envoys a good time, if they were into that sort of thing. I see a lot of parallels between his rulership and that of Viserys I, who thrust all the power onto his Hnads (Otto Hightower and Lyonel Strong) so he could focus on being the Party King of Westeros. And we all know what happened after Viserys died.
Which is all to say that I don’t actually think Robert and Cersei spent a great deal of time together outside the public eye. One random thing I did like about the Thrones show is that we got that once fantastic scene between Mark Addy’s Robert and Lena Headey’s Cersei that gave both characters considerably more depth than we saw from them in A Game of Thrones. (I specify AGOT because of course we get significantly more from Cersei later on in AFFC.)
Which brings me to my next point--Robert was abusive to Cersei. This is a known fact. Yes, she fought back sometimes, but let me be clear that I believe her narration that he raped her and that he beat her. In AGOT, through Ned’s POV, we see him hit her hard enough on the face to leave a lasting bruise. This horrifies Ned, and Ned is about as sympathetic to Robert as anyone could be. So I think it very unlikely, especially in the later years of their marriage after all three children are born, that Cersei would choose to spend time with Robert one-on-one. She knew what her duties were, and she probably tried to avoid him otherwise. And it’s also pretty clear that Robert does not want to be around her either, so I expect they spent very little time together in private.

HI FRIEND. Can you you talk about your favorite tropes Cersei falls under? Or if you have a meta about Jaime and Cersei ruminating and needed an excuse to talk about it here it is :)
OMG HI FRIEND!!! It's always a joy to see you in my inbox. 😊 And also FUCK YES TROPES ARE MY SHIT
I'm not sure if this falls under a "trope" per se, but one of my favorite fictional devices is the Deconstruction. Which is where a common theme or character type that is typically seen as one-dimensional or even idealized is picked apart in-story to show the realistic outcome of what that event or personality trait would be. Basically, taking something to its logical conclusion if it existed in the real world.
I would argue that Cersei serves as a deconstruction of the "Rich Bitch" archetype. She is born into a position of privilege and wealth, yes. And she does use those things to act in...not nice ways toward others. To put it lightly. However, it doesn't come about for the sake of having a petty, one-dimensional joke villain. She wields the power those things afford her to take villainous actions, yes. But the narrative breaks down just how utterly shitty someone's upbringing and subsequent worldview would have to be to convince themselves they need to act like that. Cersei is not glamorous or envied or shallow (in the sense of not having character depth, I mean). She's a mess. Most people probably wouldn't want to be in her position. She's reviled and barely respected. She's a serious threat. And the wealth and resources she has at her disposal aren't her whole personality; she has richly-constructed emotional layers. She's awful. But she's also scared and traumatized and angry and feeling broken, which are all things most of us feel. She's a terrifying antagonist because she's meant to be sympathetic. We can't push her aside as an unrealistic monster with no feelings because she's specifically crafted not to be one. In order for the "Rich Bitch" to exist, what would have to happen to her? And there's still a person under there, so what exactly does that mean? Asking questions like this is what deconstruction is all about and I LOVE IT.
As for a more straightforward answer with more specific tropes, Cersei is very much a Mama Bear. So much she does is because she thinks it'll keep her children safe. She ruthlessly stops at nothing to seek vengeance for the deaths of her children. She even mentions that for a significant portion of her life, she kept fighting because she believed her children needed her. She recognized that Joffrey was...Bad™; but she didn't even think to try to distance herself from him because he's her child and she loves him. And that once scene in season 5 where she tells Tommen she'd burn cities to the ground for him? I CRY EVERY TIME. Maybe it's because Lena Headey is such a good actress who imbues every one of her scenes with such raw pathos, but in a strange way, these displays of destructive love genuinely move me: her love for her children is not only palpably strong, it's unconditional. I've often heard parents in real life talk about how they would do anything to help their children, and seeing Cersei onscreen? Yeah, honestly I believe that.
There's also a favorite narrative trope of mine which is Love Ruins the Realm. Her relationship with Jaime, its need for secrecy, and the subsequent succession crisis over their illegitimate children is responsible for the whole conflict that spans the series. (One could argue that Littlefinger's plan to have Lysa poison Jon Arryn kicks everything off, but there would have been no war to point to or reason for the Lannisters to be Ned's enemy without Jaime/Cersei being a thing.) Their codependency is one of the (many) things prevents them from constructively working through their respective personal issues, which in turn bleeds into the violent ways they deal with other people. (And, as previously mentioned, there's her hurricane-strength love for her children.) All of which causes further political issues and dangerous situations (sometimes with deadly outcomes). I've always been fascinated by the idea of love as a destructive force. Instead of redeeming or softening, it makes a character more dangerous and terrifying. Love has the ability to become an unstable, extreme emotion the way pretty much any other emotion does. And Cersei, in all of the ways she tries to love, shows us exactly what that looks like. And it is gloriously fascinating.
#HI FRIEND I LOVE YOU!!#cersei lannister#got#tropes#cersei meta#(it's been...a very long time since I read the books so this is show-centric)#(also I typed the answer to this a little while ago and have scheduled its appearance on my blog)#multi t(ASK)ing#behold! a creation!

So I’m rewatching GoT for the first time, with my girlfriend, because she hasn’t watched it before.
When I first watched all of these episodes, I did so without a critical eye. I used to think, “Hey, they’re just trying to finish a story and George didn’t help them out. I’ll live with these decisions.” Then s7 and s8 happened and I couldn’t excuse it anymore. So now that I’m watching more critically, here’s a little thing I typed up. It deals mostly with s5, which fucking sucks. It does, people. Don’t let That One Good ACtion Sequence fool you. Because that’s what the show became, slowly starting in s4, expanding in 5, and taking full hold in 6. It was writing to get from one Big Event to the next. The stuff in between was just filler.
The show really takes a downturn when they started writing their own original story lines. They're fairly bad writers. They don't care about logical consistency at all. For instance, multiple times in season 5, once by Littlefinger, and once by Benioff himself, Stannis is referred to as having one of the finest military minds in Westeros. And yet he does nothing to show that at all, and in fact, by letting RAmsay Bolton destroy all of his shit with 20 men and then letting Ramsay just surround him on the field of battle, looks like one of the dumbest military minds in Westeros. When they chose to only do 7 1/2 seasons it obviously meant story lines had to be cut and various side character plots had to be given to main characters. But the problem is, they SUCKED at doing it in a logical manner. Here are all of the absolutely dumb fucking story lines in 5: 1. Sansa being sold to the Boltons. Now, perhaps it makes some logical sense for Littlefinger to make his move on the Throne, what with Twyin dead, Tommen being a weak ruler, Cersei doing everything she possibly can to fuck over the Tyrells, and the Freys essentially taking command of the Riverlands. Ally the Vale with the Boltons and Freys, and you might be able to march South. But Littlefinger specifically says to Sansa that he would put his money on..STANNIS WINNING. Let me say that again, Littlefinger tells Sansa that he thinks STANNIS WILL BEAT THE BOLTONS. So then, why would you ally with the Boltons if you think they're about to lose the fucking war? Now, I get it that Littlefinger probably figures he has no shot at allying himself with Stannis, what with what happened at the Blackwater. But there are other options out there...like, ya know, the Tyrells, whom Littlefinger already has a relationship with. Or the Martells, who despise the Lannisters entirely. 2. Dorne is just a total mess. I wasn't a huge fan of Dorne in the books, and I understand not wanting to introduce 8 Sand Sankes, Arianne, Quentyn, and a Prince Doran who is a much larger player in the books. That's a lot of new characters for a TV show 5 seasons in. Ok. So we have to condense the story and they chose to use the woman who we've already met in season 4. Fine. But, holy fuck is it stupid. First of all, every scene that involves the Sand Snakes is just cringe. But the real issue, and its the issue that plagues the entire season, and eventually the rest of the series going forward, is the total lack of political consequences in any meaningful way. George doesn't let that happen, and when they're following George, you got to see that. JOffrey sucks as a ruler and is believed to be the child of incest? Alright, well here comes a crowd riot wherein Sansa almost gets raped. Ned telling Cersei he knows she fucks Jaime, ordering Twyin to the Capital and the arrest of the Mountain, and then not seizing the Throne to prevent Cersei and Joffrey from taking him out? Ok, there goes his head. Same with Robb. But here, Elia and the Sand Snakes kill the Prince of Dorne and his son and...nothing. THey just...take over. With four people. The entire Dornish army just follows them w/o question. No political consequences at all in Dorne. We're just supposed to assume that assassinations and coups are just easy peasy, over and done. Which flies totally in the face of what we know about assassinating beloved leaders. Littlefinger killed Lysa because she couldn't keep her mouth shut about John ARryn. Had people found out, they'd have executed Littlefinger in the Vale. But Elia? Nah, who cares bro... Then, when they try to still have some semblance of a political drama as opposed to a series based around 3-4 Major Action Sequences a season with various annoying plot points in between, you get the stupidity of Jon being killed. So, they kill him for allowing Wildlings in...after letting the Wildlings in??????? Like....they're already in. Thorne LET THEM IN. In the books, they kill him because he's about to take a Wildling Army South and fight for Winterfell, clearly violating his oaths. By killing him, they actually stop that action. Here..they stop nothing. They do nothing. All of the Wildlings are already fucking south of the wall. Too late. This continues into the later seasons. Cersei, after being found out as a incestuous, not only resumes her role as Queen w/o so much as a peep from the commoners or Lords, but she then kills off 1) Mace, Margaery and Loras Tyrell. One is the head of a beloved House who feeds the capital. His daughter is a beloved Queen who goes out of her way to help the poor and the other is a popular swordsmen who was won multiple tourneys. 2) The High Sparrow, a religious revolutionary who has captured the hearts of the city and the faith 3) Kevan Lannister, the eldest stateman of House Lannister and countless others. And what happens to her? Well, Varys talks a little about how she's hated by the common folk but...that's it. I mean sure, Dorne and Highgarden join her enemy, but they die in the span of two episodes. Totally and completely. And when Cersei loses, it has zip to do with her poor ass decision making. Randomly killing off your allies, your very rich allies (when you're House is actually now broke), is a terrible idea. But she pays no price. She lost for the same reason whoever loses to Daenerys in the books will lose. Whether that's Cersei or fAegon or even Stannis on the Throne when she gets to Westeros. George has beaten us over the head time and time and time again: they'll lose because Daenerys has dragons and they don't. Cersei never paid once for her shitty decisions. Which makes their decision to focus the end of the series on the political element truly disastrous. They stopped giving a fuck about showing any real political ramifications in season 5. Also, I used to be a fan of keeping Beric and not bringing in Lady Stoneheart. I didn't like the character. But, seeing how they had no idea whatsoever how to use Jaime if he wasn't tied to Cersei (and probably just making the decision to keep Jaime with Cersei because they liked Lena too much), I'd have rather had Lady Stoneheart and the plot from the books. Because when they have to get Jaime out of KL for Cersei to 1) Beclown herself and get arrested by the Faith and 2) Blow up the Sept, causing the death of their son, they do so in the clumsiest, most boring ways possible. First, was this Dornish mission, that sucks ass. Later, it's the pointless Siege of RIverrun. Then you've got the really idiotic shit Jaime puts up with. Like, ok dude, you love her even though she cheated on you with Lancel. But, um, she just caused YOUR SON to jump out of the window......and you're still fucking her? What a waste of a character arc.

Tierras de la Corona
Joffrey Baratheon
Edad: 15 años
Estatus: Rey de los Siete Reinos
Requisitos: Casting
PB Sugerido: Jack Gleeson

Sexist Tropes in “Game of Thrones”
Missing Mom Trope / Death by Childbirth Trope
Missing Moms are considered more unusual than missing fathers, and they are more likely to have their absence explicitly explained (usually with death). Death by Childbirth is very often the cause of a Missing Mom, as not only does it get the mother out of the way whilst keeping her sympathetic but it adds an extra touch of tragedy to the protagonist's life
Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi): Jon Snow’s mother
Rhaella Targaryen: Viserys and Daenerys’ mother
Joanna Lannister: Cersei, Jaime and Tyrion’s mother
Straw Matriarchy (Powerful Women are Evil) Trope
Women are shown to be fundamentally incapable of governing or utterly evil and castrating in their power-wielding
Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey): Queen Regent; Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men and Protector of the Seven Kingdoms
Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie): Lady of the Vale
Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma): Prince Oberyn’s paramour
Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg): did whatever was necessary (including murder) for her family to remain in power
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke): Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea; Queen of Meereen; Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men and Protector of the Seven Kingdoms and Lady of Dragonstone
Hysterical woman Trope
Women as less rational, disciplined, and emotionally stable than men, and thus more prone to mood swings, irrational overreactions, and mental illness
Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie)
Myranda (Charlotte Hope)
Selyse Baratheon (Tara Fitzgerald)
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke)
Women Who Enjoy Sex are Evil Trope
Sex is regarded as fraught and dangerous
Doreah (Roxanne McKee): murdered Irri and helped Xaro Xhoan Daxos stealing Daenerys’ dragons
Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey): murdered every enemy she could get her hands on to remain in power
Shae (Sibel Kekilli): betrayed Tyrion Lannister by blaming him for Joffrey’s murder
Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma): murders Myrcella Baratheon and Doran Martell
Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie): murdered her husband, Jon Arryn; lied to her sister, Catelyn, blaming the Lannisters for Jon’s death; tried to kill Sansa Stark out of jealousy
Myranda (Charlotte Hope): helped Ramsay Snow in his torture games; tormented and tried to kill Sansa Stark
Tyene Sand (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers): alongside with her sisters, Nymeria and Obara, helped her mother, Ellaria, betraying House Martell
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke): burns down King’s Landing
I Was Quite a Looker Trope
You all know them. That kindly old lady who lives down the street. The tiny, wrinkly, owner of the local dojo. The aged, fading seductress. Wrinkled, aged, musty... but they weren't always that way. Once upon a time they were attractive, very attractive.
Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg)
Disposable Woman Trope
This character has a familial or romantic relationship with a protagonist, which allows creators to derive heart-wrenching sorrow from her death.
Talisa Stark (Oona Chaplin): provided a minute of Man Pain to the protagonist Robb Stark before his murder by Roose Bolton
Ygritte (Rose Leslie): provided Man Pain to the protagonist Jon Snow
Shae (Sibel Kekilli): provided Man Pain to the protagonist Tyrion Lannister
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke): provided Man Pain to the protagonist Jon Snow
Disposable Sex Worker Trope
The prostitutes are killed because they know something they shouldn't, or a villain thinks they do.
Ros (Esmé Bianco): Petyr Baelish gifts her to Joffrey Baratheon to torture and kill because she’s been working for Varys
Woman Scorned Trope
What’s the only type of woman more dangerous than a Mama Bear? A woman who’s been dumped, cheated on, or otherwise done wrong by her significant other. Especially if she’s been hiding some sanity problems,
Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie): tried to kill Sansa Stark out of jealousy
Ygritte (Rose Leslie): go on a murdering spree after being betrayed and abandoned by Jon Snow
Shae (Sibel Kekilli): testifies against Tyrion Lannister in his trial for Joffrey’s murder for believing he didn’t care for her and was shipping her off
Myranda (Charlotte Hope): tried to kill Sansa Stark out of jealousy
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke): slaughters every men, women and child in King’s Landing after being rejected by Jon Snow
The Glorious War of Sisterly Rivalry Trope / Sibling Rivalry Trope
There are two sisters, close enough in age to have a relatively equal relationship, but light years apart in personality.
Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) vs. Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie)
Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) vs. Arya Stark (Maisie Williams)
Tomboy and Girly Girl Trope
The "Girly Girl" will highly care about her appearance, pursue "girly" interests, and is often (though not always) The Chick. The Tomboy will be into sports, mechanics, or the like. The two ladies will have some sort of relationship with each other, whether they're best friends, sisters, on the same team
Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) vs. Arya Stark (Maisie Williams)
Mama Bear Trope / Motherhood Is Superior Trope
Like many other mammals depicted throughout history as predators, bears are actually passive animals, and won't attack humans unless provoked. Despite this, if you even think about getting between a mother bear and her cub she'll tear straight through you. Threaten her children, and you are in for a world of hurt.
Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley)
Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey)
No Guy Wants an Amazon Trope
All Guys Want Cheerleaders, but no guy wants a girl who can beat him up.
Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) is unceremoniously dumped by Jaime Lannister because he wants to return to his traditional feminine ex-lover, Cersei
Female Misogynist Trope / Not Like Other Girls Trope
Considers other girls to be inferior- not like her. People will remind her that she's a girl herself, but she will deny it - or consider herself an "honorary dude" or claim she's "not like the other girls" (i.e. she's ''better'' than the other girls, in her mind).
Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey): I should have been born a man. I’d rather face a thousand swords than be shut up inside with this flock of frightened hens
Arya Stark (Maisie Williams): Most girls are idiots.
Fiery Redhead Trope
A Fiery Redhead is a red-haired character who is strong, Hot-Blooded, outgoing, usually outspoken, and (if a love interest) often female. She has a big personality and she's not afraid to use it. Whatever you do, don't get on her bad side, or there will be hell to pay.
Ros (Esmé Bianco)
Melisandre (Carice van Houten)
Ygritte (Rose Leslie)
Sleeping Their Way to the Top Trope
There are many ways to rise to the top, some more pragmatic than others. Some people decide to use their charms and sex appeal to boost their career. It's usually frowned upon by other characters, and may have certain downsides to it, but for some it proves to be the key to their success.
Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer)
Real Women Don't Wear Dresses Trope
A woman is shown as weak, incompetent, and ineffectual unless she dresses and behaves in a masculine manner, or is otherwise applauded for being "not like other girls."
Arya Stark (Maisie Williams)
Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie)
Ygritte (Rose Leslie)
Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan)
Nymeria Sand (Jessica Henwick), Obara Sand (Keisha Castle-Hughes) and Tyene Sand (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers)
Madonna–Whore Complex Trope
A pattern of thought that divides female-humanity into two mutually exclusive categories: Madonnas and Whores. The virtuous Madonna figure, possessing and protecting social virtue is an object of worship and everything that all females should aspire to be. However, sex is not part of this. The Whore, always with massive sex appeal, catering to the male gaze, is often evil and scheming
“The Whore” Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) vs. “Madonna” Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner)
“The Whore” Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) vs. “Madonna” Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner)
“The Whore” Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) vs. “Madonna” Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner)
Sour Prudes Trope
Accusing other women (or sometimes men) of being "skanks", "sluts", "cheap" and whatnot.
Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie) vs. Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner): Lysa falsely accuses her niece, Sansa, of sleeping with Petyr Baelish
Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) vs. Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke): Sansa implies Daenerys is (sexually) manipulating her brother, Jon Snow
God Save Us from the Queen! Trope
While kings and princes can be good or evil, and nice or mean, and princesses are (almost) always good, queens tend to be the royalty version of Always Chaotic Evil. Once a queen is in charge, things get nasty.
Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey)
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke)

Mistakes were made in its final season, but by the warrior, the father, the mother and by the old gods and the new, I will always love my Westerosi babies.
Even ones who didn't stick around long.
And when we lose we still win because Game of Thrones may have lost Best Ensemble but it went to "The Crown". And who is in this season of "The Crown"? Tobias "Edmure - He Who Can't Aim" Tulley" Menzies and...
Ben Daniels!
And who is Ben Daniels married to?
Ian Gelder who played Kevan "Not With the Shits" Lannister".
We still win!!
Because "Game of Thrones" employed hundreds of actors you can't turn on the TV or go to the cinemas without seeing someone from the show. We all know that Kit Harington and Richard Madden will be in "The Eternals", Lena Headey's short is up for a BAFTA and she will be in Showtime's "Rita" and playing Bill Sykes in an update of "Oliver Twist", but we have Mark Addy (Robert Barantheon) and Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) on "White House Farm", Ralph Inerson (Dagmer) in "Doolittle", Anton Lesser (Quyburn) in "The Trial Of Christine Keeler", Clive Russell (Blackfish Tully) in the second episode of "Dracula", Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) in "Jojo Rabbit" and "Harlots", Dean-Charles Chapman (Tommen Barantheon) in "1917"
Lino Falconi (Lord Robyn "Still Breastfeeding" Arryn) in "Sex Education"
Jonathan Pryce (The High Sparrow) in "The Two Popes", Catrice Van Houten (Melissandre) in "Temple", Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) in "Four Weddings and a Funeral", Jessica Henwick (Nymeria Sand) in "Underwater", Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion) in "Cobra", Natalie Dormer (Margaery) in "Penny Dreadful: City of Angels", Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell) in "Dickinson", Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand) in "Carnival Row", Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) in "The Mandalorian", Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) in "Titans", Bella Ramsey (Lyanna Mormont) in "Judy" and Art Parkinson (Rickon Stark) in "The Bay".
And Florence Pugh is sister to Toby Sebastian who played Trystane Martell so whatever she wins falls under "Game of Thrones" hold.
Don't question my logic, just roll with it.
