Hollywood. Tra le tante testimonianze presenti, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Diana Kruger, Kurt Russell, Cristoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Lucia Liu, Bruce Dern, Roberto Forster, Zoë Bell, Eli Rot, Michael Madsen, Stacey Sher, Scott Spiegel, Richard N. Gladstein, Luigi Nero.... #notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article

The musical responses to the challenges that followed the 80's differed from one player to another as we have heard. However, I assume Iggy Pop ended the period with what most of his peers tried to achieve during the 90's, i.e. he went back to his basics, even though his decade zigzagged between being an accomplished survivor of his movement and still following the latter without any polish. Thus, Instinct belongs to the category of his harsher sounding albums of his career despite walking behind his most commercial disc. Yes, Iggy always liked to do things on his own, so Instinct shouldn't surprise us. Nonetheless, I do think the platter can be seen as Mr. Pop by numbers, since there's nothing shocking about the tunes here, there's just there.

Retronaut Selects: Brian Briggs - Combat Zone (1982)
Tumblr media
I first found out about Brian Briggs when I was first going through the $1 to $3 section at Double Decker Records.
I was instantly interested because I had never heard of it before, and it had this cool promo sticker on the front cover!
Usually, promos are identified by a gold stamp, but this was a promo sticker, but it depends on the era and the label that released it.
Somehow, I knew just upon looking at this album, that it was gonna be some kind of new wave album.
It is an awesome album because it has new wave elements, and even rockabilly too.
If you’re into obscure gems, then this is the album for you.
Essential Tracks: Sweet Revenge, Truce, Here To Win
